anyway here's a list of things that are true in my version of things:

Everyone is older, the oldest of them being in their early twenties.

Fang is named Friday. He primarily uses sign language to communicate, but he can talk if he has to.

Nudge is named Dorothy (Dora for short, asked to be called that when she found out it was her real name).

Gazzy is named Gizmo.

Maya names herself Em.

Ari lives and becomes part of the flock.

Em is offered to join the flock after her fight with Max. She declines, but she does join later on.

That weird Dylan and Max were genetically made for each other plot thing does not happen. Em finds him when she makes her escape from the labs and he becomes part of the flock when she does.

The weird preachy save the word max you're the chosen one also isn't a thing here.

Wing Design for Jancy from Drawtectives!!

(Jancy is 5′10″ and her wingspan would be 21′6″)

When I look at Jancy’s design, it looks very sleek and elegant and I wanted her wings to look the same.

Seagulls and steller’s eiders were used for inspiration.

Wing Design for Rosé from Drawtectives!!

(Rosé is 5′9″ and her wingspan would be 15′6″)

She never struck me as the quiet and sneaky thief (maybe on purpose?) so I wanted to emphasize speed and agility for her design. I also wanted them to be pink because how could they not be?

I used hummingbirds, falcons, black-billed magpies, and scissor-tailed flycatchers for inspiration.

Wing Design for Grenda from Drawtectives!!

(Grandma is 4′0″ and their wingspan would be 9′6″)

I knew I wanted a brown/orange color palette for her and I also fell in love with the idea of him having eyespots.

My main inspirations were pheasants, owls, and the giant owl butterfly.

I designed some wings for Eugene from season two of Drawtectives!!

(Eugene is 5′10″ and his wingspan would be about 17′0″)

I wanted to make something that was big and flashy to tie back to his performance days, but I didn’t want it to be too bold given that his character kinda centers around death. I also wanted his wings to be a replacement for his cloak without loosing that imagery completely.

Vultures may have been the obvious choice to draw inspiration from, but that doesn’t mean it was the wrong choice. I also used ravens, parrots, and green herons.
