sometimes i almost forget how refreshing it is to watch things created and directed by women... the scene where Sarah was filming that video focused on her face and on her emotions. the victim was very clearly shown as a victim.
that's expected from Al Rawabi, though; i'm really remembering how amazing this show is.

another lingering "Layan was here" shot... i do like the way that even though the main storyline is progressing, they never quite abandon the s1 one; it's kind of like it's haunting the school in some way, even if the main characters themselves aren't aware of it (yet).

fuck man... fuck.
i wasn't ready for this. i was just enjoying the silly party with silly teenagers and their silly drama (well not exactly but you get it).
then they decide to throw Layan's memorial at us.
not only that, they also decided to show us Farah on her own watching everyone else on the party have fun and crying and tearing her pictures apart, Tasneem's ED (which they had already shown implicitly but now it's completely explicit) and Sarah being threatened with the creepy stranger saying they'll post her video if she doesn't meet them? did they simply want to destroy us?
(...my mind's still in Layan's memorial though. i'll think about this for at least a few days.)
