Rewriting Sonia Nevermind

Heya, last time we talked about, rewriting Akane Owari. I think my friend really liked the concept I made and because you seemed to like it too, it's time to rewrite my least favorite DR2 girl.

That being, Sonia Nevermind.

I am not a huge fan of her. She barely has any depth, barely much focus or even an own character arc. She is just a nice girl, who happens to be a princess and a funny foreigner. Well, I think we can do so much more with her, so here are some ideas, to improve her. Feel free to disagree with me.

Personality:

Okay so personality wise, I would keep her friendly nature. But I would also at the same time make her a tad more creepy and her love with serial killers, the occult and dark topics more pronounced. She would talk about it a lot more and a few times, giggles excited when she talks about such topics. This may make her seem like that she is loving serial killers and is romanticizing them, which causes her classmates to be a bit wary off her. In reality, she doesn't condone those crimes of course and she is simply fascinated and passionate about those dark topics. Why she has that fascination to begin with, will be explained later.

Appearance:

I would change Sonia's outfit slightly. She will wear a dark hoodie, one with some white symbols along a pair of blue jeans. Her nails would be painted pink and her face would look as pretty, as in canon. Her hair is a bit more braided from behind, given her a regal appearance. Now, why am I giving Sonia such a strange look? Well, like in canon, Sonia wants to be seen as a normal student by the others and therefore, she is wearing more casual clothing in order to seem more natural and to fit in with the rest. She is not a tomboy by any means and simply wears a hoodie, because its comfortable and because she is not that much of a fan of showing skin. Also, I think the dark clothing contrasts great with her golden blonde hair, so there's that.

Backstory:

Now, as I mentioned in the Personality Subsection, there's a reason Sonia is obsessed with serial killers and that has something to do, with her past. See, when Sonia was younger, she had a sister. One that was supposed to be the one next in line and become the future queen of Nosovelic. However, on the day that she was going to get crowned, (Sonia was 13 at the time), her sister was assassinated by a known serial killer in Nosovelic. This event traumatized Sonia of course and she began to study serial killers and their patterns, in order to partially learn from their methods, to possibly find the killer of her sister one day and also to cope with the loss of her sister. Gundham and her bonded because of their shared interests and they confide each other, thanks to their shared past too.

However, thanks to researching so many killers, Sonia began to develop some dark urges, like light sadism and a somewhat petty nature. She is aware of that of course, but she is trying her best to contain those negative aspects of course. Her light sadism only comes out, when Kazuichi begins to stalk her and she belittles him subtly out of annoyance and as a way, to vent out her darker aspects. Even though Sonia is still holding back and doesn't want to seriously hurt Kazuichi. I can imagine Sonia eventually opening up to Kazuichi and outright telling him, how his behavior creeps her out and Kazuichi will eventually realize it too and then tries to stop stalking her. I do see potential of them becoming somewhat good friends in the future though.

A few notes about Nosovelic in this rewritten version of mine:

-It's located between Montenegro and Albania

-It's a Parliamentary Monarchy and after Sonia's fall into despair, she stages a coup and turns it into an absolute monarchy.

-The main language is Nosovelician, a mix of German, Dutch and Albanian.

-Military knowledge and education is mandatory, because Nosovelic had been invaded countless times during its tenure.

-It was not part of the Eastern Bloc and remained neutral, throughout the cold war.

-Its closest economic partners are Germany, Bulgaria and Albania.

-The country itself has some LGBT right issues, something Sonia wants to fix.

Additional Notes regarding Sonia:

-She practices martial arts and military training. Sometimes during practice, she comes and teaches the other soldier trainees. Her rank is General.

-Her Japanese has a bit of an east European accent. She speaks European languages, like German, Dutch, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Bulgarian, Romanian and Ukrainian more fluid though.

-Apart from researching about serial killers, she also reads tons of political and economical books.

-The only subject Sonia struggled with in school, was Biology and Math.

⊱ she just carried on the conversations since she's not the worst at it bur she also won't mind comfortable silence with you

⊱ when Akito first met you he also definitely noticed that you're not the best at keeping a conversation so he probably quickly ends it if you don't have any relationship

⊱ although when you meet again he decides to give you chance

⊱ and when he sees that you're TRYING to keep this conversation going but fails, he sees what's going on and just carries the conversation on his own

⊱ he's probably pretty good with quiet people thanks to Toya, so you don't have to worry about talking

⊱ when the two of you got closer, he definitely told you many times that you need to learn how to socialize with others

⊱ if you just prefer to be alone or in smaller groups most of the time, he'll definitely want to learn maximum people you can hang around

Heya, I saw a lot of drama in Tumblr after PsychoPass Providence came out. A lot have been hating Frederica and Kogami pair. But how do you feel about it? I think it's just Akane's fans overreacting so much.

oooh i have seen a couple of posts about shipping frederica and kogami and there may have been some discourse that showed up on my dash (since i follow the psycho pass tag and random posts just show up sometimes)

but im gonna be honest, i don't read most of the text posts, especially if i see that they're long. i don't got time for all that 😭 and it's absolutely because i don't like seeing hateful stuff and bad takes so i just scroll down really fast and not look at them and just mind my own business looking for pretty stuff to reblog. i also don't really look through the psycho pass tag often, so im not really sure what the fandom is discussing among themselves lol

buuuut me personally, even though i do ship kogami and akane, i definitely do not mind frederica and kogami! there were a couple of scenes where even i was like "oh they'd be low key cute and so bad ass together." i love frederica and i love kogami and i love akane (and gino and everyone ehehe). all ships are totally valid!

but yeah hating on characters and other people because of ships is just very exhausting. just focus on what you love and don't bother anybody. everybody wins 🫶

Rewriting Peko Pekoyama

Heya

So, it's time for another rewrite for a Danganronpa character. This one happened to be from my good friend @t-bird510 . We'll take a look at Peko Pekoyama. While I do not have any issues with her per-se, I do see room for improvement and so, we shall improve just that. Let's do this.

Personality:

Her personality remains largely the same, except with a few minor differences. While she does remain calm and collected, she actually is suffering from anxiety, thanks to her training of the clan. Fuyuhiko's parents put her through a tough regimen and ab!sed her, to toughen her up. Thanks to this, she is actually very anxious most of the time, but hides that thanks to some meditation exercises, in order to fully function during the day.

She meditates a lot for this exact reason, in order to cope with her past and trauma. It also allows her to not collapse at all, given how she barely sleeps, due to her duty as Fuyuhiko's guard. Another thing that does calm her down, is good food especially sweets. And she also has an affinity for bunnies and has a bunny plushie in her room. She barely indulges in those pleasantries though.

Peko only shows her vulnerable side around Fuyuhiko and those, she trusts.

Appearance:

I'll give Peko a more muscular built, but not as strong as the one I gave Akane. She is still very lean and has some hard abs, her body also having tons of scars, faded from her training. Instead of her school uniform, she wears a traditional white kimono, in order to appeal more formal and to hide her bodily scars. Her hair is also more tied into a ponytail, to give her a more elegant appearance.

She does not wear swimsuits at all and instead wears full body bathing suits, similar to the one Sonia wore in the main game.

Past:

Okay, so in this version, Peko's mother was actually in debt from the Kuzuryuus, thanks to a gambling addiction. And since she couldn't pay up, they took Peko away as a baby, as another form of payment and then chased her out of the city. The status of her mom is unknown and I'll leave it open, if she is alive or dead.

Also, in this version Fuyuhiko and his father don't get along at all, because Fuyuhiko often stood up for Peko, in order to protect her and he was criticized for it, being called soft and weak. Their relationship is as close as in canon.

Another thing I added, was that Peko uses certain enhancement formulas, made by a vendor (later revealed to be Kimura) in order to relieve some of her stress and to feel herself more useful towards Fuyuhiko. The drugs do make her stronger, but also more anxious. And the withdrawal symptoms are....unpleasant to say the least.

Other Notes:

-Peko's eyes are not actually red. They are contact lenses given to her by the clan, in order to look more menacing.

-She loves singing in her spare time.

-During training, she wears contact lenses, to not break her glasses.

-Her katana actually belonged to a rival gang member, which Fuyuhiko gifted to her, after she beat said gang member with a wooden sword.

They both looked at you with shook and Akito had hand in the air... was he about to hit An?! Well what's important now is that they stopped fighting and now focused on you.

"What were you two even fighting about?"

"Akito was jealous that I had the guts to ask you for a kiss!"

"No! You just were running a little late and I simply thought you felt uncomfortable because of her!"

"Ehh... Well I did enjoyed our previous date. I just spent a little more time getting ready today."

"Ah, yeah understandable I guess..."

"Well you certainly look beautiful! I mean... you always do but today you're BLINDING me!!"

Akito just rolled his eyes at Ans words and you softly smiled happy that they're not fighting anymore. You swear, you don't know how this would've ended if you haven't stopped them... But hey, why won't you not think about it and just enjoy the second date of yours? And that's what you did. Date was pretty fun, you even managed to get Akito and An to be nice with each other! You could swear they're slowly warming up to each other even if none of them showed it.

On the next day, all of you had to go back to school... It was only a second after you entered the building before you could feel someone wrap their arms around you, so naturally you turned around and saw An.

"Heya, YN! I brought some extra lunch just for you today, so do you want to meet at lunch break?"

"Of course! I'd love that!"

"Great! Then it's gonna be our alone time~"

"Wow, how romantic..." you said that in sarcastic tone

An laughed at your comment "Right? School rooftop and 2 lovers, the most romantic combination! Anyway, I have to go now since I promised to help teacher something before classes start... See you at lunch break then!"

You basically couldn't wait for that lunch break. After all An was EXTREMELY good at cooking as if she made some extra lunch with you in mind the it's gotta be the tastiest thing you ever ate.

Once it was finally time, you left the classroom in hurry and went to rooftop. Or rather... you wanted to do that... you were sotpped by Akito who saw you walking quite fast.

Things I noticed in the new AiB trailer:

(Very mild manga spoilers ahead, really, almost none)

FIRST OF ALL! KING OF CLUBS IS HERE!! From what I can see, they are keeping the Manga's team, Arisu, Usagi, Kuina, a very burned Niragi and, our icon and legend:

TATTA! TATTA IS HERE! HI BABY, WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU SINCE THE WITCH HUNT ENDED!

Also, I'm pretty sure this is the king of spades?? It’s kinda hard to tell if it really they are adapting the king of spades, but since Akane appears and Aguni comes back, I'm pretty sure they are, because that's literally their character arc.

Speaking of Akane, here she is! It looks like she and Aguni are gonna meet which YAY! Their manga relationship was really fun! But also WHERE THE FUCK IS DOUDOU????

Another game that they are adapting is one of my faves, the Jack of hearts. Like the 4 of clubs in season 1 they are adding a main cast member that did not play this game in the manga, Chishiya! Which is gonna be pretty interesting to watch. It does worry me that they are putting him here, because I think it means that they are not adapting the king of diamonds.

Also! This car game doesn't really exist in the manga! Either they made up a new game or they are all playing the king of spades together. Either way they are giving Ann more screen time which I'm elated abiut because she kinds fades away in the manga once the beach burns up! Also, yet another apparition of Tatta, which may be very interesting for fellow manga readers here.

ALSO HI QUEEN! I'M PRETTY SURE THIS MEANS WE'RE SEEING THE QUEEN OF HEARTS TO SEASON 2 IS PROBABLY THE FINAL SEASON!

ANYWAYS, I AM SO EXCITED Y'ALL!!!!

Two Faced

(This is an old fic I posted on Reddit over two years ago. Thought I’d leave it here since I’ve been kinda getting back into this fandom recently)

"Heya." Shiromi greeted as she pulled open the sliding door, being greeted back by the formal, yet homey atmosphere of the council room, the rest of her peers sitting around the hardwood table. Akane gave her a soft spoken 'hello' without looking up from her papers, she seemed busy, whilst Aoi didn't really give much of a response apart from a low hum.

"Where have you been?" Kuroko spoke with a hint of agitation, her brow furrowing as a result. "You've missed the meeting. This is the second time."

"Sorry." Shiromi replied, taking a seat beside Aoi who was still leaning on her elbows, still choosing not to interact. "I was just taking care of something that needed to be tended to." She looked at her superior for a response, smiling oddly as she waited.

Kuroko paused to take a deep breath before exhaling, looking down in Akane's direction, checking on what she was doing before responding. "I really don't like your definition of 'taking care of things,' Torayoshi."

Shriomi laughed under her breath, amused by Kuroko's response before, too, taking a moment to gloss over Akane's bundle of paperwork that lay in a small pile to her side, Akane almost ready to add another piece to it as she continued to scribble things down.

"Are those the club bills?"

"Indeed." Kuroko replied, still with a hint of sternness. "I think you owe Toriyasu here a 'thanks' for stepping in to sort out the papers that you were instructed to see to, Torayoshi."

Shiromi gave a half smile. "Heh, they're early. They really don't waste much time, huh?"

Akane grimaced, closing her eyes for a moment before reopening them just that little bit wider than what Shiromi was comfortable with...

"No, some people don't." she said, as she continued with 'her' work.

Shiromi gritted her teeth momentarily before reaching out to one of the papers that Akane was still working on. "Well, you want me to take them?"

Akane shook her head, lightly pushing her hand away. "No, no, it's fine. I've got it."

Shiromi pulled back her hand and for a moment just dwelled in silence, the only sounds being the constant deep ticks from the grandfather clock, and Akane's pen against paper. She leaned back in her chair, arms behind her head, and stared attentively at her colleagues face as she continued scribbling.

Seeing Akane like this was greatly fascinating to Shriomi, as she had never seen anything like it before. Akane was worldly seen as a this tolerant and sweet girl, who took great pleasure in kindness and pride in her integrity, only wishing to spread positivity. This had to be the first time Shiromi had ever seen her frown, and Shiromi just had to find out why. 

It surely couldn't just be because she was doing paperwork that wasn't intended for her, when she been put on the spot with just as frustrating scenarios and still managed to keep her goodwill smile.

"What's eating you?" Shiromi asked, tilting her head to one side.

Akane's eyes met Shiromi's before they fell back to the paper, her mouth left slightly ajar as if re-evaluating what she going to say. "Nothing, dear, I'm just tired."

Shiromi switched from leaning back on the chair to leaning forward on one of her hands, with intent to bring herself just a little bit closer. "You sure? It's not often that you're tired."

Akane sighed, as she once again met eyes with Shiromi who was grinning back at her, waiting for an answer that Akane failed to give, as there was nothing else that came from her that could fill the rooms silence.

Kuroko could feel the heavy amount of tension in the room, and took a sip of her tea before planting her eyes into Shiromi again. "Torayoshi, please."

Shiromi gestured outwards with her arms, "What? I was only asking."

"Yes, but I get the feeling that Toriyasu doesn't care to speak to you at the moment."

"You know what, I think I'm going to go home for the rest of the afternoon." Akane said, standing up from her seat, with her head bowed, dropping her pen carelessly into the table before turning to walk the out sliding door that stood slightly ajar. 

As Akane reached her hand into the crack of the door, she jumped back, hand over her chest at the sudden sight of Shiromi appearing beside her, casually leaning against the door, with a playful question;

"What's the password?"

Akane sucked in air through her teeth, as her eyes opened wide again. "Shiromi, d-don't."

"Shiromi are you incapable of not being a bitch?" Aoi said, her head now lifted off the table after spending so long in silence.

Kuroko frowned, "Language, Rygoku." before turning to Shiromi with the same look. "Torayoshi, would you kindly move out of her way, you're part of the student council, act like it please."

Kuroko's statement didn't hinder her though, and Shiromi continued with her hijinks.

"C'mon!" Shiromi insisted putting her back against the door, as Akane continued to look down at her with pent up frustration that made her fists ball up. "I'll give you a hint, it's Aoi's birthday!"

"Leave me out of this!" Aoi yelled over, clearly becoming irate due to Shiromi's behavior, but all that came to a stop all of a sudden...

Before Shiromi could react or realize what was happening, she felt two hands with an iron grip latch onto the front of her blazer, forcing her up against the small space of the wall between the door and one of the many book cases that littered the place. Shiromi looked up and felt a chill run down her spine, her smile faltering at Akane's expression. Her eyes were dauntingly wide, her small pindot pupils overwhelmed with the rest of her intense orange irises. Her mouth opened, Shiromi able to see each impressive canine but any further thought of it was suddenly cut off by Akane's booming voice.

"Oh, I'm supposed to be peppy and cheerful all the time am I!? I'M SUPPOSE TO PLAY ALONG WITH YOUR STUPID JOKES WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE IT!?" 

Shiromi tried to struggle in her grip but found she couldn't move, sealed to the spot... by fear.

"YOU'RE THE ONE THAT GOES MISSING WHENEVER THERE'S SOMETHING IMPORTANT THAT NEEDS TENDING TO! YOU'RE THE ONE WHO STROLLS THE FUCK IN WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT, WITH NO CONSIDERATION FOR ANYONE ELSE APART FROM YOURSELF!” Akane knew this was wrong, but now that she'd started she couldn't stop. Every negative platitude that she'd hoarded had come spilling out all at once, and now she could only wait for the floodgates cease on their own.

"Akane that is enough!" Kuroko yelled, trying to put herself between the two, placing a firm hand on Akane's shoulder but based on Akane's reaction, it was like she didn't even realize she was there.

"WHY YOU'RE EVEN ON THIS TEAM IN THE FIRST PLACE IS A MYSTERY! YOU STEAL, YOU CHEAT, YOU LIE, YOU RIP FRIENDS APART, YOU GET PLEASURE FROM FRUSTRATING PEOPLE! WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE!?" Akane violently shook Shiromi once against the wall, Shiromi trying as hard as she could to keep her head down in order to not look at Akane's twisted-with-anger-face, as her screaming continued.

"AND THEN YOU ASK WHAT WRONG WITH ME!?"

"What the fuck is the matter with you!?" Aoi reached over and tried to pull Akane off Shiromi physically, only for Akane start to direct her anger towards her instead. Akane threw her elbow back in retaliation to Aoi's attempt, missing, before then turning around completely to face her, Aoi taken aback by her twisted expression.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" 

Before Aoi could move Akane landed a hard hitting punch straight into Aoi's good eye, causing her to yell out and stumble backwards clutching her face.

Akane let out a wisping breath at the realization at what she'd just done, every rageful word that didn't quite make itself known immediately dying on her tongue, and turning into a quiver.

Kuroko had turned her attention to Aoi, trying to get her to show her face, but Aoi slammed a fist down on the table and turned back around to Akane with a primal look, a purplish bruise surrounding her uncovered eye.

Every alarm bell inside Akane's head was sounding, letting her know that she was about to receive the same treatment that she'd just given Shiromi and now Aoi. Her breathing hitched at the sight of Aoi coming closer and Akane fell against the door, pleading and crying hysterically, holding a hand out in front of her in a weak attempt to defend herself. 

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I'm so, so sorry... please, please don't hurt me." her mournful chanting got Aoi to stop and take a step back, and Kuroko to look down at her with a look that questioned if the events that just transpired actually happened.

Aoi returned back to slamming the side of her first down on the table, growling like a dog out of the throbbing pain that overwhelmed her eye.

Shiromi leaned against the wall with a lost look in her eyes, the wall behind seemingly being the only thing that was keeping her standing.

Kuroko buffered where she stood, trying to think what she should do, eventually deciding to hold out a hand for a Akane to take, hoping to pull her from the ground but, she recoiled away from her almost instinctively. 

"No, please! Don't touch me... I'll hurt you, please, dear, don't touch me..."

Kuroko shook her head. "Akane, don't be silly, come on, let me help you."

Akane swallowed her nerves and let Kuroko pull her to her feet, Akane unable to resist pulling her peer in for a surprise hug shortly after, burying her face into Kuroko's shoulder where she then released the rest of her emotions. "I'm sorry... I just don't know what's wrong with me today..."

Akane was shaking like a leaf in Kuroko's hold, trying her best to calm herself to no avail.

"It's.. It's okay, Toriyasu..." Kuroko said breathlessly before glossing over her brooding peers before looking back over to the sliding doors. 

"I think this would be an ideal time for us all to take a walk down the infirmary."
