That Carly Rae Jepsen post got me thinking that like, that lyric from call me maybe is such big Yang energy. Cuz like, you know Yang has felt so lonely since Summer. The atmosphere seems to shift once the pair enter the room, and his nerves come back all at once now that there are new sets of eyes on him. The absolute height of Kassava in particular has him feeling especially intimidated. However, he knows he needs to maintain some composure, so he clears his throat, standing rigidly at attention.

"Y-Yes, that would be me! It's a pleasure to meet you both! So, I have thousands of years of experience on the matter of ki control, and I am quite advanced for my age! Therefore, I'm hoping that I may be able to be of some assistance to you!"

Looking directly at Kassava now, he continues, "However, um, in order for us to begin, would you be willing to tell me a little about yourself? ...Or perhaps where you feel you're at with your ki control? A-As much detail as you feel comfortable with, of course! I may have to probe a little, but I'll try not to make you answer anything that makes you uncomfortable!"

It wouldn’t be much longer as two pairs of feet would walk into the training room, both belong to women. The first being a woman about the same height as Bragi with Black hair and an eyepatch. Dressed in stereotypical Saiyan attire with a black and sky blue color scheme. Crows feet at the edges of her remaining eye seemingly from years of smiling.

The other was a younger woman that towered over everyone there. Dressed in a primarily white and pink letters-man jacket that had the Time Patroller symbol on the right sleeve. Baggy pants with the latest fashion for the shoes.

Celleri: “So! You must be Bragi, I’m Celleri and big gal behind me is my daughter Kassava. Celeron here told us that you know a thing of two about Ki control?”

Kassava would simply wave at the Kai before shoving her hands inside her pocket. She had a rather neutral expression on her face but she was intrigued to know how much he could help if at all.

she shouldn't have expected anything less than an insult, but mikayla's chest deflates slightly with disappointment anyway, her eyes immediately rolling in response. “ could've fooled me, ” she grumbles in defense, because for once, mikayla had almost nothing to do with the fight that broke out today, only getting close at all in some attempt to protect nat, not to instigate anything.

mikayla doesn't entirely believe that, but she doesn't argue, mostly just because she doesn't want to hear anything insulting about one of the only people in the world who actually knows her. her hands tighten around the steering wheel, her chest beginning to ache slightly. “ not really. ” she wasn't allowed around natalie after her father found mikayla with another girl, like it was his civic duty to protect his friend's daughter from her, as if it's contagious, what's wrong with her. they drifted apart, but that doesn't mean mikayla stopped caring. she could have easily pretended to forget about her, wrote her off as some girl she was forced to spend time with, nothing more, but that wouldn't be true. “ but i did try to talk to her earlier, ” she admits reluctantly, refusing to look anywhere but ahead. “ i told her to calm down. that it was just an accident— what happened with allie. ” one of her hands leaves the wheel to reach for the ends of her hair, twisting it nervously around her fingers, wondering if she should even be admitting this to taissa at all. “ i guess that didn't work. ”

she doesn’t feel the need to tell her where to go,  either—  mostly because she was just glad to get away from the party,  from the others,  enough to not really consider what it means to be alone with her now.   something about all of this feels like instinct, anyway, even if the two of them have never really spent any real time together—  not like this.  not alone.   she scoffs,  annoyed that she has to answer that question.  ❝  because—  ❞   she starts,  sinking back in the seat in annoyance,  because she’s already past the point of admitting to something.   ❝  i prefer parties without the drama,  ❞   she insists,  like mikayla would cause it—  as if all the drama tonight hadn’t been entirely because of tai.   she nods slowly at the answer,  because it finally feels like something real.   

❝  what the fuck,  ❞   she mumbles,  rolling her eyes at the mention of nat.  ❝  i— wasn’t going to.  ❞    she’s actually not as hard on nat as she comes off—  most of the time,  insults she throws nat’s way are a defense mechanism,  because when nat rightfully calls her out,  she has to cut deep in response,  even if it’s irrelevant.   she doesn’t actually care how nat spends her time—  she only uses it against her when she feels cornered.  ❝  guess you two are still close?  ❞   she asks,  speaking quieter now,  like it’s not something she’s supposed to ask.  but it’s not about her defense right now—  it’s about what she said to defend her earlier,  and how she followed her lead before the scrimmage.  she was counting on mikayla on her side,  even if it didn’t make sense for the relationship they have,  and there’s a part of her that’s just desperate now to know if it was just some loyalty to nat or if she actually did agree with tai—   because maybe if she did,   tai wouldn’t feel like everything the rest of the team said about her has some truth to it.
