8 PEOPLE I'D LIKE TO GET TO KNOW BETTER
Tumblr media
ONE / ( ALIAS / NAME )
Éireann
TWO / ( BIRTHDAY )
7th March in a year we will not disclose because I am hideously close to 30.
THREE / ( ZODIAC SIGN )
Pisces.
FOUR / ( HEIGHT )
5'. Or 6'5.
FIVE / ( HOBBIES )
U can usually find me sitting on my couch doing a cross stitch. Currently, I'm stitching the "why would the stars want to look down on such as me" line from Jaime in ASOS because I'm a big ol' mess.
I also have my qualification as a makeup artist and even though I'm not doing it as a job currently, I do enjoy doing makeup a whole lot in my spare time.
SIX / ( FAVORITE COLOR )
Pink.
SEVEN / ( FAVORITE BOOKS )
Favourite book of all time is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. Most recent fave was A Feast For Crows from ASOIAF.
EIGHT / ( LAST SONG LISTENED TO )
My Cell by The Lumineers. If you haven't listened to them before, listen to them immediately. And this song in particular is just...Jaime feels. I saw them live for the second time in November 2019 and their performance of this song was a fucking out of body experience I swear.
NINE / ( LAST FILM OR SHOW WATCH )
Last film was Like A Boss, which was brilliantly terrible. Last show was AJ & The Queen on Netflix.
TEN / ( INSPIRATION FOR MUSE  )
I first started writing as Jaime in maybe March or April last year. I've watched GOT since 2012 but my rewatch in prep for season 8 between January and April last year really kicked up the muse for me. I've written several fucked up characters (Haymitch Abernathy, Daryl Dixon etc) so I thought...why not add one more Damaged Boi™️ to my repertoire. So here I am.
I find the books to be a huge inspiration. I've owned them for so long and read sporadically over the past 8 or so years. But this year I actually sat down properly to read them.
ELEVEN / ( STORY BEHIND URL )
JAIME IS A MAN OF HONOUR AND THAT IS IT.

Shak’s SummerSlam 2019 Review
Becky(c) v Nattie for the Raw Women’s Title: I give this match a C, it was a bit boring, the crowd didn’t really pop all that much. While the reverse submission holds were neat and it did look like Nattie was wrenching Becky’s arm back the end was rather meh. Nattie “I won’t tap even if you break my arm” taps but looks utterly disinterested when she did.
Goldberg V Ziggler: A..it was everything I wanted to see. Dolph sold the spear like the had been shot, the jackhammer was great and the match was under 2 minutes. Dolph still talking shit after getting almost murdered was amusing and I have no issues with Goldberg coming back to spear him again and again.
AJ(c) v Ricochet for the United States Title: B-, my son will be unhappy as he is a Ricochet fan but it was an alright match. Some good spots, timely involvment by the Good Brothers and Styles catching Ricochet and turning it into a Styles clash was nice. Keeps the momentum of the OC going.
KO v Shane: B - Solid, Shane ended up getting his ass beat, Elias got his ass beat after being introduced as the special guest enforcer. Shane should disappear for a few weeks, I hope.
Bayley(c) v Ember Moon for the Smackdown Women’s Title: C and that is being generous. Too many botches in this match for my taste. Ember I can see as this is her first PPV match but Bayley should know better. They didn’t seem like they were on the same wavelength at all but a nice top rope Bayley to Belly Suplex to end it.
Kofi(c) v Orton for the WWE Championship: D: Match was ok, a few momentum shifts but it wasn’t the big win Kofi needed to solidify his reign as WWE champ and the ending was just, I have no workds for how moronic it was.
Charlotte v Trish: C-: Ok match, Charlotte had to carry Trish for good parts of the match, thought for a moment when Trish hit the “Stratisfaction” finisher could she win but no, Charlotte won which is fine with me. The crowd after the match was cool and the loss doesn’t hurt Trish at all but doesn’t really help The Queen either.
Finn Balor v The Fiend: A+: The entrance for The Fiend, holy shitballs. The lantern that is his old face, the dreadlocks made into the handle was creepy AF and so worked for him. I was gobsmacked and loved it. Finn in all white as the “good guy” was a nice touch. Fairly quick match, nice finish with the mandable claw and the lights going out and Bray being gone when they came back on was awesome. Match of the Night for me.
and finally:
Seth Rollins V Brock Lesnar(c) for the Universal Title: B-: Not too bad, Brock sold for Rollins which is goo. When he picked up Seth with his rib tape and swung him around like a rag doll that was awesome. No surprise despite the beat downs Seth had taken that he won and re-claimed the Universal Title. After the match he looked rather good for a person who had “busted ribs” but whatever, its WWE and continuity isn’t a thing for them.
Overall I would give SummerSlam 2019 a B-, it had some good matches and not so good matches. The ending of the Kofi match put a bad stain on things. I also held onto my WWE Title for the match picks I do with my neighbor by one match! Now its time to relax for a hour then watch the finals of the NJPW G1 Climax.

Smackdown Stream of Consciousness!
I have skipped 3:29 to get to the actual episode
I have adored Becky Lynch for years I’m so happy everyone else sees it now
But she is hard to screenshot at the moment
Look at Charlotte run in heels. A true queen.
Even more, she is fighting in that tank top. I have so much respect
I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR BANNERS YOU’RE OVER A GOOD SHOT
R Truth is so good. I love him so much.
Could this screenshot be taken badly if I use the first idea that came to mind? ... Maybe
Ah, perfect, a better shot to replace it
Come on, I try to get shots of everyone, Truth, do weird things slower
Rusev chill just a little you’re giving me a lot to work with too fast for me to catch any of it
Now I get a semi decent shot of Becky
I make too many posts about sleep but sometimes it’s the only real option other than laying on the ground in pain and that’s too close to canon
I have so many now kiss options but I refuse to write romance so they get re-purposed every time or not used at all
Don’t get me wrong, I adore Shane McMahon and The Miz, but I could do without the sappy video package and recap
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Mandy Rose. She certainly does her job as a heel, I’ll give her that.
The New Day is a permanent delight and most of the reason I still enjoy wwe
The New Day is canon chill with the Usos and Shaemus and Cesaro admit that they respect them so Heavy Machinery is really at the disadvantage here
I am personally offended by the New Day being the first team eliminated. Personally.
I have a really hard time telling the Usos apart so I don’t post pictures of them individually if I’m not 100% sure. This has led to losing a ton of really good screenshots.
I’m pretty neutral about most wrestlers, everyone has their roles and I like everybody and will watch their matches with few exceptions. One person will never be on my blog, and the New Day can do no wrong and deserve nothing but the best
How does Tucker Knight’s hair work. It’s relatively thick up top but thinner near the bottom. I get that it’s a ponytail but the thicknesses just don’t match
Once again I wish I could make gifs
Loving the Daniel Bryan support signs, honestly.
ROWAN’S WEARING AN ALESTORM SHIRT THEY’RE ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS!!!!!!
What a turn this promo has taken
Daniel is really trying to make them hate him and it is just not working
Unsufferable is not a word
Have I already said I love this crowd? I love this crowd.
Subtle reference there, AJ
Interrupting people is still rude Randy
This is a lot of talking and not enough opportunities for screenshotting
Samoa Joe has the Superman hair curl going
Oh man, the AA comment killed Randy Orton

Gerald Stern Journal of Neural Transmission supplement 2020
Gerald Stern was a doyen of clinical neurology of international repute who made numerous significant contributions to neurology and the field of movement disorders. His early life and career in neurology have been documented in other published eulogies (Lees 2018a, b; Quinn 2019; Lees and Ockelford 2019)—we would urge you to read these as they tell a compelling story of his upbringing, his entry in to medicine, and the start of his love affair with clinical neurology that contains object lessons for those about to embark on a similar voyage. For those of you who never met Gerald or heard him speak and have not read any of his numerous publications, you should indulge yourselves by reading one of his later works (Stern 2011) or the Stanley Fahn Lecture presented at the MDS meeting in 2010 in Bue- nos Aries which you can watch on YouTube (Stern 2010) and an interview carried out by Niall Quinn (Quinn 2010) following that presentation. Then, you will realise what a master of the English language he was, his intellect, his ability to dissect and analyse complex areas of neurology, and how he used his wit and humour to entertain an audience. Gerald showed boundless enthusiasm for clinical neurol- ogy and was beloved by his patients who adored the time and patience which he showed in trying to understand their problems and to treat them to the best of his ability. Such was the respect of his patients that two apparently penniless, little old ladies left him substantial legacies with which he funded his research. Famed for his tact and diplomacy and courteous manner, he was sought out by the rich, the famous, Kings, Presidents, and Popes for his clinical skills. Asked why he preferred to practice private medicine rather than aim for a chair of neurology, he responded in typical fashion ‘My dear boy, I couldn’t possibly afford to be a professor’. A pioneer and a non-conformist—some would say rebel—he was involved in the earliest studies of L-dopa in Parkinson’s disease and subsequently in the introduction of dopamine agonist drugs, notably apomorphine and bromocriptine. Probably, he would have been most proud of his contribution to the introduction of the MAO-B inhibitor deprenyl in to the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, which included being his own guinea pig for testing the safety and effect of the drug—unthinkable in the modern era. Less well known is Gerald’s love of science and laboratory-based research which was fostered by periods in his early career that he spent in USA and in Paris. He must have been one of very few clinicians who subscribed to and read Nature and Science on a regular basis. Enthused by articles that stimulated his imagination, he would be immediately on the telephone to discuss the details of the experiments or he would buttonhole people at meetings and have long conversations which showed the depth of his knowledge and his deep understanding of the relevance to clinical neurology. He would enthuse and even cajole his basic science colleagues in to action to exploit these latest ideas and to translate them in to practical solutions for his patient population. Gerald always described himself as ‘a simple clinician’, but those who worked with him found that he was far from that and including him in the basic science team raised novel ideas and concepts that his lateral thinking brought to the table.Gerald was involved in early studies on the function of the substantia nigra and sub-thalamic nucleus inducing electrolytic lesions in primates under the tutelage of Fred Mettler at Columbia University in New York. This formed the basis of his MD thesis which he wrote sitting on a bidet in a former bordello in Paris. He later forged long-term relationships with Professor Merton Sandler at Queen Charlottes Hospital, London studying catecholamine metabolism and, subsequently, the actions and metabolism of deprenyl. He then became fascinated by the potential for curing Parkinson’s disease through the use of foetal cell transplantation and in many respects was a pioneer in this field enabled by another long-term relationship with Professor Harry Bradford at Imperial College London. One of us (PJ) has personal experience of how Gerald never let an unsolved problem rest. One of his earliest studies, in 1963, was in to the cause of nigro-pallidal degeneration in horses induced by the ingestion of the yellow star thistle. Gerald tried unsuccessfully to induce the same degenerative process in both rodents and primates convinced that there was a specific toxin in the plant that had relevance to human disease. Some 30 years later, when MPTP was first coming to prominence, he related these studies to me, and after reading his paper, I was sufficiently convinced by Gerald’s enthusiasm to go back to the problem. Together with a Swiss phytochemist, toxic components of the plant extracts were identified as sesquiterpene lactones (Cheng et al. 1992)—although it still remains a mystery as to why only horses are affected. In his professional life, Gerald Stern was, by nature, a quiet, generous, and unselfish man who gave his time freely to others and was never one to seek the limelight. In fact, many will remember him because of the patronage which he showed to young neurologists and scientists encouraging them to greater things through his enthusiasm for the field. A gift that is not as common today and for which we are poorer. One of us (PJ) will be forever grateful for the support and encouragement that he received from Gerald in the early part of his career—everything from listening my woes to constructive criticism of my work to bombarding me with ideas to ensuring that I took the right path to achieve my ambitions. He was a father figure to many, but never took the credit for doing so much to advance the field of movement disorders in the UK and on an international basis. Perhaps,in these young people, he recognised something of himself and saw their struggles as the ones which he himself had had to overcome. One or two final quotations personify Gerald and his personality. ‘Surround yourself with clever young people who are more industrious, more imaginative, more intelligent than yourself’ and ‘Be nice to old ladies’. Rest in peace dear friend! WWE Backlash 2018: Review
Sunday May 6th, from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ:
Kick-Off: Ruby Riott vs Bayley:[**1/2]
As they announced the match, i was like “meh i don't care much about it”, but then i thought that both wrestler are good on the ring so i hoped for at least an enjoyable match, but i guess i was asking for too much. The match was good for the Kick-off standards but kinda sloppy at times and also it didn't do justice to them, because they could have done a much better job, but it was noticable that they were restricted to just this. Ruby picks up the win thanks for a distraction and she looks like she could be the next #1 contender for the raw women's title. Unless they have other plans, i'd be fine with Ruby going for the title.
Winner: Ruby Riott
IC Championship: The Miz vs Seth Rollins: [****]
For the second straight PPV (not counting the Greatest Royal Rumble) the opener brings home the MOTN award and this one was a really good and surprising match. And with surprising i mean that i was expecting a good match but not this good. Chemistry was great, the crowd was solid behind both guys (Miz had a good pop and the burn it down chants before the superkick were loud). Both pushed themselves to the limit and gave us a really great match that had good wrestling, a simple storytelling and drama, since Rollins kicked out twice from the Skull Crushing Finale. Result was predictable but they made you believe Miz could won, but in the end, Mizanin won't bring the IC title with him to Smackdown Live. Rollins will probably be in the MITB unless he is defending the title against Balor, who might finally turn heel in the next weeks. Miz is about to renew his rivalry with Bryan and i can't wait about it. Kudos to both Miz&Rollins for the great match.
Winner and still IC Champion: Seth Rollins
Raw Women's Championship: Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax [**1/2]
I wasn't expecting this match to be better than the one at WrestleMania, but it was actually enjoyable and i felt it was even better booked than the Mania one. This time Jax struggled to win and it came a bit outta nowhere as she countered alexa's sparkle splash. Coming out the PPV, Nia seems destinated to face either Ruby Riot or Ember Moon (nope since she is in the MITB) and in both cases we could expect two good match, but if she faces Ember, i guess she will go back being heel because i don't see Ember joining the “darkside” unless they want to change her gimmick.
Winner and still Women's Champion: Nia Jax
US Championship: Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton:[*3/4]
From this moment, the PPV went downhill after a solid start. This match could have potential been solid but both guys are clearly out of shape: Jeff came back from a injuiry one month ago while i can't believe how orton has so bad cardio, since you could notice it in the first minutes of the match. The match was slow, boring, repetead spots and it felt like it lasted ages while it only lasted around 10 minutes. Jeff won as expected and he moves on to another challenger.
Winner and still Us Champion: Jeff Hardy
Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass: [*3/4]
This i really really weird to say but it's one of the first daniel bryan matches i really hated and it's not even his fault, because clearly he can't always make miracles and turn something good out of a clusterfuck of a wreslter. Cass dominated the whole match and then lost like a dick and he even tapped out after litteraly 10 seconds after Bryan got him the Yes Lock...and then, as a sore loser, he attacked bryan which it means this bad feud is still on. Thanks Road Dogg and thanks WWE for loving big guys who can't do shit in the ring. At least Bryan won. At least. Winner: Daniel Bryan
Smackdown Women's Championship: Carmella vs Charlotte: [*]
Good god what a terrible match they had, like honestly for me it could easily be one of the worst matches i have seen so far in 2018. 10 minutes of Mella being annoying, 10 minutes of sloppy spots and then a seriously anticlimatic finish: bad landing by charlotte, kick to her injuried knee and then roll up...Are you serious guys? Did Carmella beat Charlotte clean after the queen broke asuka's streak? There's nothing bad in Mella retaining but not like this, they could have had the Iiconics interefer and cost Charlotte the match, but they let them be on the kick-off show for nothing. They could have also bring Becky and Asuka out to be even with the heels and then make one of them cost Charlotte the match by mistake, but no someone in the creative thought this was a better ending. So obviously the feud will go on until MITB since i bet Charlotte won't be in the ladder match.
Winner and still Smackdown Women's Champion: Carmella
WWE Championship No DQ Match: AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura:[***]
I could copy and paste what i wrote about this match at Mania and at the GRR, but even this time, it was a good match, with a really bad booking that didn't lived up to the hype and the potential those guys could do. One complaint i saw about this match is that with the match being a No DQ they should have used more stuff than just a chair. Personally no dq matches always felt to me like the stipulation they want to use to do something in particular, just like the did with a no contest after a fucking double low blow...and also, for those wondering, the match could have also ended in a count-out...now, personally i don't know what they want to do with this feud: are they dropping the ball on nakamura? Are they testing him before giving him the belt? They have no plans for the title so they are making this feud last long because fans will be always happy to see styles facing nakamura? Personally i hope at MITB we get the last chapter, whether it wins styles or nakamura. One final match between those two but also finally a GREAT match like they can, if not this possibly could be the most disappoing feud of the year for sure. Match ended in no contest
Braun Strowman&Bobby Lashley vs Sami Zayn&Kevin Owens: [**]
Match was bad and honestly it felt like a big and useless filler, which sucks because they are 4 great wrestlers who should deserve much better than this. Easy win for Strowman and Lashley. Zayn and Owens argiuing again is starting to become really annoying. Also hopefully they will change Lashley finisher soon
Winners: Braun Strowman&Bobby Lashley
Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe:[*1/2]
The good old Roman win after being beat up for the whole match. Joe basically jobbed to make roman look strong. The match started actually in a good way but then lost so much momentum that even some member of the crowd decided to leave early the arena. The true highlight of the match was Joe's reaction to the boring crowd chants. One day WWE will finally undertstand that how roman matches are booked aren't working and won't make him anytime over with the crowd. And now i also smell Roman winning MITB, unless Brock is defending the title, which i highly doubt but we will see. At least this main event reflected perfectly the whole event: a bad main event for a bad show. Winner: Roman Reigns
Overall: So this event had a really good start with the opener and Alexa vs Nia Jax but then thing went really bad: booking and wrestling wise, with only Nakamura-Styles being good but with a really bad booking decision. The only thing you should really watch is the opener and then watch something else, because the rest isn't worthy the time watching. [4.5]

WWE Raw Results: Surprise challenger for Brock Lesnar, Crowd silences Randy Orton - other sports
Tumblr media
WWE Monday Night Raw braved off a snow storm taking place in Utah and brought a whole show full of action from the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. The show started with a montage of Edge’s return and Randy Orton’s heinous attack on the WWE Hall of Famer. Orton made his entry to the ring to explain his actions but was greeted with a vociferous crowd, who booed him relentlessly. This kind of reaction has not been since the Roman Reign’s post-WrestleMania 33 promo and Elias’ cheap shot at Seattle crowd. Every time he tried to speak, the crowd booed loudly.  We're still reeling.#RAW @RandyOrton pic.twitter.com/4tZ0akHZFt— WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) February 4, 2020 Eventually, Orton declared that he cannot do this and just left. This is where pro-wrestling is at its best where the crowd becomes a part of the action in the middle. WWE anticipates and lets the crowd dictate some of the things happening inside the ring. The WWE Universe believes they are a part of the storyline which leads to great television. Maybe next week we hear Orton’s explanation for attacking Edge. "I can’t do this." @RandyOrton leaves the WWE Universe without an explanation for his savage attack on @EdgeRatedR. #RAW pic.twitter.com/xkwysFO3et— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 So it’s back to Lana vs Liv Morgan. This feud has been going on forever and now it looks like it is finally ending. Morgan defeated Lana easily. However, that wasn’t the end of the story as Ruby Riott is back. She returns and attacks Morgan for no reason whatever. HEEL TURN guys. Lana then beats an already beaten Morgan like hyena. WHY, @RubyRiottWWE?! #RAW pic.twitter.com/FtKxz37SCf— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 Mojo Rawley faced Drew McIntyre in a non-title match. The result of the match was never in question. The ‘Sexy Scotsman’ (his words not mine) laid down the challenge to Brock Lesnar, saying he is afraid of McIntyre. Rawley was warned that it would take three seconds for McIntyre to defeat him. And that’s exactly what happened. Rawley was clay-moured by McIntyre in seconds to pick up the win. Are you watching, @BrockLesnar?@DMcIntyreWWE just hit the CLAYMORE and 1️⃣ > 2️⃣ > 3️⃣ over @MojoRawleyWWE on #RAW! pic.twitter.com/BxSNFg4idK— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 The Monday Night Messiah again isolated Kevin Owens. The Viking Raiders were removed from the equation quickly and Owens was left fighting on his own against three members of Rollins’ team. The Monday Night Messiah was victorious with numbers advantage proving too much to handle for Owens.A short review for a short match- Aleister Black beats Erick Young with a Black Mass. He is the one picking up the fights now. He gave an emotional promo after the match. He said- ‘People should be, who they choose to be’ because that drives relentless competition. Black Mass to everyone in the Raw locker room coming! Are you watching, @BrockLesnar?@DMcIntyreWWE just hit the CLAYMORE and 1️⃣ > 2️⃣ > 3️⃣ over @MojoRawleyWWE on #RAW! pic.twitter.com/BxSNFg4idK— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 Rey Mysterio was taken out by Angel Garza. Mysterio tried to save Humberto Carillo from an attack and got into a match with Garza. However, Mysterio met with the same fate as Andrade. This one just came to a SCREECHING halt...And @AngelGarzaWwe actually looks happy about it. #RAW pic.twitter.com/IaiZwh1kKU— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 It was time for Charlotte to announce who she is going to face at WrestleMania 36. She reminded that she has won all the gold in the WWE and has beaten Becky Lynch and Bayley before. Crowd started ominously chanting ‘Rhea Rhea’. And the NXT women’s champion made her ‘surprise’ appearance on Raw. So Rhea Ripley challenged Charlotte for a match rather than the other way out. But Charlotte did not give a response and just left. Interesting. NXT will see the return of the ‘Queen’ to answer Ripley’s challenge. "If you're gonna challenge for any title at #WrestleMania, well..."@RheaRipley_WWE rules. #RAW pic.twitter.com/GNCaAzfuji— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) February 4, 2020 Asuka took on Natalya in singles match and proved why she is called one of the best wrestlers on the planet. Her array of submissions is absolutely astonishing. The win wasn’t enough as she called out Becky for a rematch. ‘The Man’ happily accepted the challenge. It’s on. Lynch vs Asuka 3.It is time for the main event of the show with Rollins facing Ricochet and Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match. The winner will go on to face Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia. In a hard-fought match with the Monday Night Messiah again interfering, it was Owens who evened the odds. With the ground taken out Rollins was left stranded. It is going to be Ricochet who will face Lesnar after pinning Lashley with a 630.  CONGRATULATIONS, @KingRicochet...@BrockLesnar will see YOU at #WWESSD! #RAW pic.twitter.com/J9ZwuQLARH— WWE (@WWE) February 4, 2020 Sadly for Ricochet, he wasn’t able to celebrate that victory for long as Lesnar F5ed him in the centre of the ring seconds after his win. Lesnar against a high-flyer in a big match, we surely haven’t seen that before (Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles or Finn Balor might argue).Super ShowDown will see the ‘Beast’ against a ‘Superhero’ for the WWE Championship.FYI: Goldberg is returning to SmackDown to announce ‘who is next’. 40-52
40. Have you seen your favorite artist in concert?
Yes, many times, because I have and have had various favourites throughout my life. These include the Backstreet Boys, Good Charlotte, The Used, AFI, July Talk, The Gaslight Anthem, Jimmy Eat World, Incubus, Green Day, New Found Glory... like, so many.
41. Longest you’ve waited in line for a concert?
A solid 10 hours, at least. It used to be my jam to show up REAL early for a show and line up. Made some good friends that way. Got some good spots at shows that way. I think actually I waited like 14+ hours for New Years’ Eve shit at Nathan Phillips Square when my boys Not By Choice have played there. But I did some ridiculous shit for those dudes.
42. Have you ever attended a concert alone?
I go to concerts alone all the time. I don’t even care. I’m at a weird age where a lot of my friends don’t seem to want to go to shows anymore, or aren’t invested in live music, and I’m not gonna miss shit I wanna see because no one wants to go. I’m also not gonna beg them to go and then worry they don’t really wanna be there and not enjoy the show myself, y’know?
43. What’s the best part of a concert in your opinion?
That moment of anticipation when the lights go out but the band hasn’t quite come on stage yet and everyone is going apeshit and there’s that surge toward the front and you’re just so excited because it’s starting and they’re real and they’re gonna be right there. That’s good.
44. Have you ever heard/seen an artist soundcheck before their show?
At various free outdoor shows at Nathan Phillips Square or Yonge-Dundas Square yeah, cause there’s nowhere for them to go. Also when I worked at Ontario Place we could ALWAYS hear soundcheck at the Amphitheatre. And sometimes when you line up at stupid o’clock you can hear shit through the walls.
45. What’s the biggest venue you’ve been to a concert at?
Other than festivals, probably the Skydome, capacity ~50,000.
46. What’s the smallest venue you’ve been to a concert at?
Probably Club Rockit, which no longer exists, and was tiny and adorable and actually kind of awesome. Or the Moustache Club in Oshawa. Or like... the fuckin’ Dungeon. What a shithole that was.
47. Have you ever had side stage seats?
Like, physically on the side of the stage, no, but as in the sections next to the stage in an arena, yes, and they’re actually kind of awesome.
48. Which venue have you been to the most concerts at?
At this point it has to be the Opera House in Toronto, just because it’s still there. Maybe Kool Haus though, that was where every band played. That was a great venue and now it’s becoming overpriced condos and I am b i t t e r.
49. Do you post a lot about a concert you’ve attended on social media or very little?
Depends on the show. If it’s a band I really liked or was a REALLY good show I post a lot of shit after the fact. I usually post once or twice during the show, sometimes not at all, but never too much because I’m watching it.
50. Has a concert or tour you were planning on going to got cancelled?
I was supposed to see Amy Schumer on November 10, and she cancelled because she was “sick” but I still think it was because she thought she was gonna be at a Hillary Clinton victory party lmao. I also had a BSB show postponed because AJ went to rehab. The rescheduled dates fpr the Toronto shows ended up being September 12, 13 and 14. Of 2001. That was a strange week.
51. Have you seen a band in concert before a member left the band / they broke up?
L I S T E N. I went to five Anberlin shows on their farewell tour in 2014 including their final show ever and those wounds are still fresh ok let me LIVE.
52. Favorite song you’ve heard live?
Like... ever? Man that’s a tough one. I just recently saw just about every AFI song live that I could’ve hoped for (MALLEUS!!!!!), so that was rad. And -- okay, I’ll say it -- the Queen medley when I saw Boyzone in 2009 was rad as fuck, fight me.

Man, AJ Lee would’ve had a ball in this era of women’s wrestling, huh? Lee was an underrated wrestling talent with quickness and lucha elements in her moveset, yet there is an argument that she was big fish in a small pond of meddling Diva’s talent. Lee’s selling and pyschology would translate well in any era of women’s wrestling, it’s spot on. Her skipping, mannerisms, and promo skills is what AJ had over the other women during that time. That’s the crux of AJ’s talent, she’s a great character worker. With concise mic skills and brilliant mannerisms, she was instantly over post Wrestlemania 28, as D-Bry’s punching bag transitioning into mentally unstable queen of the division. While WWE has done all but write her from history, Lee’s arguably one of the most over women that has stepped foot in the company.
Her rise to stardom allowed her to finally make some leeway in the Divas division in 2013, leading to her first championship reign. Over the next two years, she would serve as the unquestionable face of the women’s wrestling in the biggest sports entertainment company on the planet.
Not the prototypical Diva by any stretch of the imagination, she broke barriers and served as the inspiration for young female fans in the audience, not to mention her fellow competitors across the independent scene who may have spent the early portion of their careers believing they would never make it because they did not look a certain way
I felt like AJ’s retirement is even more tragic due to the NXT women being called up after she retired. Imagine: AJ Lee vs Charlotte, AJ vs Sasha, AJ vs Bayley, AJ vs Alexa, AJ vs Mickie James!! I hope one day she comes back.
My favorite matches of hers are:
Queen of FCW title match vs Serena
NXT Season 3 vs Naomi
AJ vs Nikki on Raw 2015
Payback Diva’s title vs Kaitlyn
Natalya as well, TLC ‘13,
AJ vs Natalya - Main Event early 2014
My fave moment: The Total Divas PipeBombshell:
“OMG you guys, I just watched last night’s episode of Total Divas and it was insane, oh my gosh. I mean, the Bellas were dealing with their obvious daddy issues. The Funkadactyls broke up and then got back together again. Natalya’s fiancé isn’t much of a man. And the other two were also there. It was great, it really was, and it was the end of the world and it’s only Sunday nights on the E! network. Do you wanna know what I see when I look in that ring? Honestly? A bunch of cheap, interchangeable, expendable, usuless women. Women who have turned to reality television ‘cause they just weren’t gifted enough to be actresses. And they just weren’t talented enough to be champion. I have done more in one year than all of you have done in your entire collective careers. I have saved your Divas division, I have shattered glass ceilings, I have broken down doors. Why? So, so, a bunch of ungrateful, stiff, plastic manikins can waltz on through without even getting as much of a thank you? You guys can’t even go backstage and shake my hand and look at me in the eyes because you know that I worked my entire life to get here, I gave my life to this and you were just handed fifteen minutes of fame. I didn’t get here because I was cute, or because I came from a famous wrestling family, or because I sucked up to the right people. I got here because I am good. I earned this Championship and no matter how many red carpets you guys wanna walk in your four thousand dollars ridicolous heels, you will never be able to lace up my Chuck Taylors. You’re all worthless excuses for women and you will never be able to touch me. And that is reality.” -- And even till this day, none of them ever did!

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a little vengeance, right?
NXT takes over the PPV landscape Sunday night with its latest edition of TakeOver: Vengeance Day, highlighted by the NXT Championship match between Finn Balor and Pete Dunne. That alone should be worth the price of admission and maybe we’ll get Edge standing by as an interested bystander. But, in addition, they’ll crown the winners of both men’s and women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic plus Johnny Gargano defending his North American Championship against KUSHIDA which could steal the show. That is of course, unless Io Shirai doesn’t steal it first!
We know the card will deliver as it always does! Less is always more as far as the number of matches when it comes to NXT. Gives it room to breathe.
Just think about it, it’s a card that’s without Karrion Kross, The Undisputed Era, Tommaso Ciampa, Timothy Thatcher, Candice LeRae and the tag team champions, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan, among others.
NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day – Updated Card
Dusty Rhodes Men’s Tag Team Classic Finals: Grizzled Young Veterans vs. MSK
Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic Finals: Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez
NXT North American Championship Match: Johnny Gargano vs. KUSHIDA
NXT Championship Match: Finn Balor vs. Pete Dunne
NXT Women’s Championship Triple Threat Match: Io Shirai vs. Toni Storm vs. Mercedes Martinez
Star of the week:
WWE's Nia Jax trends on Twitter after screaming 'my hole!' during match https://t.co/15cdcHNT9H pic.twitter.com/Q4fMI6T4h4
— New York Post (@nypost) February 9, 2021
Nia Jax – No, not for being the best, but for being one of the best moments on WWE television this week. It was a moment more memorable than anything Jax has done in the ring in months.
RAW
RESULTS
AJ Styles defeated Jeff Hardy
The New Day defeated RETRIBUTION (T-BAR & SLAPJACK)
Lacey Evans defeated Charlotte Flair by DQ to win RAW Women’s Championship Match vs. Asuka
Damian Priest defeated Angel Garza
Keith Lee defeated Riddle
Tables Match: Lana defeated Nia Jax
Naomi defeated Shayna Baszler
Non-title WWE Championship Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton ended in no-contest
Welcome to the WHY edition of Monday night RAW.
Why did we need Shane McMahon out to help Adam Pearce announce that Drew McIntyre would defend his WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber against Sheamus, AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton and The Miz?
"I think at a different level than you. You're content with being awesome? I'm not. Did that 20 years ago … I NEED to be champion!" – @EdgeRatedR to @mikethemiz #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/aqqyFRmjeJ
— WWE (@WWE) February 9, 2021
Why is Edge so damn good? Rhetorical question as he now waits until after Elimination Chamber to make his WrestleMania decision. Edge schooling The Miz was priceless and on point!
The Queen has SNAPPED, forcing this match into a DQ!#WWERaw @MsCharlotteWWE @LaceyEvansWWE @RicFlairNatrBoy pic.twitter.com/rov45KVOkz
— WWE (@WWE) February 9, 2021
Why did we need another DQ finish? This time with Charlotte Flair beating up Lacey Evans, giving Evans a title shot against Asuka. Not sure that helped anyone out there.
Why is Angel Garza being wasted in a squash match against Damian Priest? And why does Priest need Bad Bunny with the distraction to beat him? That of course, is another rhetorical question. Excellent piece of business right there for sport entertainment.
Dialing 1-800-HURT BIZ!#WWERaw @fightbobby @RealKeithLee pic.twitter.com/uwUlceEFJV
— WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) February 9, 2021
Why is the WWE so transparent putting Keith Lee up against Riddle when we know it’s only going to lead to a triple threat match against Bobby Lashley for the US Title? Storyline aside, Lee vs. Riddle was very good.
Why did we get no build-up to a tables match between Lana and Nia Jax? Yes, they should’ve had the match, but give me at least some time to make it worthwhile.
Why haven’t we been giving a “Oh, my hole!” t-shirt from Nia Jax and why does the WWE feel the need to edit that amazing moment, trending Worldwide, out of the RAW replays? Use it my friends! It actually made Jax entertaining for a moment and made her our star for the week. At least they made amends Friday night!
Payback!

— WWE (@WWE) February 9, 2021
Why do we need yet another no-contest in a RAW main event? This time McIntyre vs. Orton goes nowhere with Sheamus’ predictable interference.
Why is there no Miss Alexa Bliss?
In the end, RAW could’ve been a very entertaining show if not for some missteps.
NXT
RESULTS

Xia Li defeated Kora Jade
Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic Semifinals: Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart defeated Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell

Is it time for MSK to make their way to the top of the NXT tag team title scene? They’re just one step away now with a Dusty Rhodes Classic finals appearance!
Talk about The WAY to NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day!
IT'S A MIRACLE!!! …or not. Tough break, Johnny Wheelchair. #WWENXT @KUSHIDA_0904 @JohnnyGargano pic.twitter.com/5Q4GbkcLDv
— WWE (@WWE) February 11, 2021
Johnny Gargano first tried to weasel his way out of the NXT North American Championship Match with a fake broken arm diagnosis that William Regal saw right there. With Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory and of course, KUSHIDA, the segment was pure gold! Then, Gargano tried to payback KUSHIDA with a cheap shot in his match with Theory, only to be held at bay in an armbar by KUSHIDA and Dexter Lumis.
As for LeRae, she and Hartwell fell short to Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart in getting to the Dusty Rhodes Women’s Tag Team Classic Finals. Now, it’s Blackheart & Moon taking on Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez for the Dusty Cup and a future WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.
Do not disobey Tian Sha. #WWENXT @Bigboawwe pic.twitter.com/vE8x5Ir93Q
— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) February 11, 2021
The aura surrounding Xia Li, Boa and Tian Sha has Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter as interested bystanders. Supportive friends are now turned into foes. A curious angle gets better and better with Li becoming more of a badass. Great makeover!
Tick tock…….@WWEKarrionKross & @LadyScarlett_13 await @EscobarWWE on #WWENXT this coming Wednesday! pic.twitter.com/6bgJBGw84d
— WWE NXT (@WWENXT) February 12, 2021
Next week, we get Karrion Kross against Santos Escobar with Scarlett ringside. Sounds delicious! Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza have already felt the wrath. It’s only a matter of time. Tick. Tock.
Loved the build-up to this Sunday’s PPV especially the vignettes for the triple threat match for Io Shirai’s NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm and Mercedes Martinez. Plus, the face-offs on each match at the end of the night was a nice touch! NXT does such an outstanding job of matching it feel big time for their TakeOver events.
Cameron Grimes. Kiss My Grits. Oh my! Maybe he’s the new Million Dollar Man!
For the second straight week, we get a quality tag team main event with an upset. This time, Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher see their run come to an unexpected end at the hands of The Grizzled Young Veterans. So, it’ll be Wes Lee and Nash Carter taking on Zack Gibson & James Drake, as the GYV make it to the Finals for the second straight year.
SMACKDOWN
RESULTS
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: King Corbin & Sami Zayn defeated Dominik & Rey Mysterio
Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by DQ
Bayley defeated Liv Morgan
The Street Profits defeated Otis and Chad Gable
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Daniel Bryan & Cesaro defeated Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
There’s no disputing the fact that Roman Reigns is the top dog, the head of the table, the number one performer right now in WWE. What I do find disconcerting though is the repeated open each week’s Friday night SmackDown. Having Reigns walk to the ring for a 10-minute promo with all talk week after week isn’t maximizing his greatness. It gets old quick. I did love that it quickly turned into Reigns turning down Adam Pearce’s request to defend the Universal Title in the Chamber just like Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship. No need to have the same match twice. Plus, by having Kevin Owens and Jey Uso join those who qualify for the match face-off inside the demonic structure before having to face Reigns the very same night ultimately gives the Big Dog the upper hand to walk out of the PPV still the Champ heading to WrestleMania. It should also give Edge one fun night of watching.

— WWE (@WWE) February 13, 2021
I did like Sonya Deville giving us tag team matches as a way of qualifying for the Chamber Contender match. Sami Zayn and King Corbin taking out the Mysterios was fun although I did fear for Dominik’s safety when he almost cracked his head against the announce table flying through the ropes and over Zayn. The right team went over and both should show strong inside the Chamber.

Big E vs. Shinsuke Nakamura put on a show, albeit too short for me with Apollo Crews predictable match. Shinsuke gets the DQ victory but robs us of a better match. Maybe down the road as the Big E vs. Crews feud continues.

Welcome back Seth Rollins! I thought you were going down the right path. A new road. Fatherhood and positivity. It would’ve been the right path for him and the WWE. Instead, all of the SmackDown superstars surrounding the ring left him high and dry standing alone in the ring until a vicious attack on Cesaro.
Another week and another misstep by Billie Kay costs The Riott Squad a victory over Bayley. Last week, it was Ruby Riott and this time, it’s Liv Morgan going down to defeat. At what point, do Billie get the buh-bye?!
After a bit of momentum at the start, it looks like Otis and Chad Gable have leveled off a bit. This week, it’s a loss to the former tag team champion The Street Profits.
Anyone else find it odd that Montez Ford is dancing with Sasha Banks in a bit of a runway crossover? After all, Ford is married to Bianca Belair, who just may be choosing Banks as a WrestleMania opponent.
Oh no, NOT AGAIN!!

As for Belair and Banks, they made interesting short work of the tag team champs. First, mocking Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler for their losses on RAW this week. Then, they actually do play the “oh my hole” line from Jax which is hilarious! Finally, they get physical with the champs. You wonder if we’ll get an Asuka/Charlotte Flair redux with Banks and Belair, champ and cohort, getting a title match soon.
#WWEChamber can't get here soon enough! #SmackDown @BaronCorbinWWE @SamiZayn @WWEDanielBryan @WWECesaro @FightOwensFight @WWEUsos pic.twitter.com/kGWylfzNve

Instead of fighting each other, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro teamed up to win a shot in the Chamber match which is a plus for all of us as anytime you can put those two inside the wretched structure along with Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, King Corbin and Sami Zayn, you’ve got yourselves some moments to remember coming! No disrespect to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, but Cesaro and Bryan deserved the spot and will absolutely shine. Even despite Cesaro being less than 100% thanks to Rollins, he still gets Ziggler to tap out! Give me Cesaro vs. Reigns please! Nice little brawl with all six Chamber members to end the show as Owens reminds us that he’s not going away.

Congratulations Doug Flutie! You’re in the record books as a former WWE 24/7 Champion! Flutie beat R-Truth at the Celebrity Flag Football Game during Super Bowl LV weekend. Sure, it only lasted for a few brief, fleeting moments as R-Truth won it back for his 49th title reign, but it’s more mainstream attention for the WWE, which never hurts.
Coming up this week:
RAW: Gauntlet Match – Winner gets last pod open at Elimination Chamber: Drew McIntyre vs. The Miz vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles MizTV with Drew McIntyre
NXT: Karrion Kross vs. Santos Escobar NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day fallout
SMACKDOWN: TBD – Go Home Show for Elimination Chamber

What's the full match card and predictions for WWE Elimination Chamber 2019? WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Mustafa Ali vs. Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe [Elimination Chamber Match] WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match WWE With his turn to the dark side, Daniel Bryan turned over a new green leaf and managed to emerge as THE big surprise of the last few months in the WWE.
He's gone from from flailing returning hero to super-successful bad guy hippie, and we're absolutely loving how much we're hating him right now.
Hating champion Daniel Bryan. In 2019. Amazing.
He's shrugged off recent challenges, but now he has to face not one, two, three or four challengers, but FIVE, in the Elimination Chamber no less.
So the odds are stacked against him, but despite that we can't see past another victory for the New Daniel Bryan.
He's too strong, too smart, too skilled, and too damn environmentally-friendly to lose this any time before WrestleMania comes around.
PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan
WWE Raw Women's Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs Ruby Riott WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: Ronda Rousey vs Ruby Riott WWE Ruby Riott picked up a strong win against Nikki Cross on the Raw go-home but the feeling is she doesn't have a chance at overcoming Ronda Rousey.
Becky Lynch (and Charlotte Flair) have pretty much assumed Ronda will win and carry the title to WrestleMania, and are acting accordingly.
And we have to agree.
With Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan tied up in the history-making Elimination Chamber match, Riott just doesn't have the backup to help her overcome the Rowdy one on the PPV stage.
So Ronda Rousey will win this one relatively comfortably, but with The Man and The Queen breathing down her neck, she'll have to keep her wits about her once that second bell rings.
PREDICTION: Ronda Rousey
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Nia Jax and Tamina vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville vs The Riott Squad (Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan) vs The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) vs Boss 'N' Hug Connection (Sasha Banks and Bayley) vs Carmella and Naomi [Elimination Chamber Match] WWE Women's Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match WWE After months and months of teasing we finally got confirmation of the WWE's new Women's Tag Team Championships.
The belts are crossbrand, and so this first-ever Women's Elimination Chamber Match features three Raw teams and three from SmackDown Live.
We've got five established teams plus Naomi and Carmella, and given the stipulation, each will feel like they're in with a shot.
Tamina and Nia are bringing the power, The Riott Squad the willingness to bend the rules to breaking point.
Both Mandy/Sonya and Naomi/Carmella are wonderfully complementary pairs and The IIconics work in perfect synergy.
But despite being first in the Chamber, we have to opt for the favourites Sasha Banks and Bayley.
They know each other so well, they've both had so much singles experience (and NXT gold), and this just feels like their time.
PREDICTION: Boss 'N' Hug Connection (Sasha Banks and Bayley)
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Bobby Lashley (c) and Lio Rush vs Finn Bálor [2-on-1 handicap match] WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley vs Finn Bálor WWE After bouncing between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, the WWE Intercontinental Championship ended up nestled in Bobby Lashley's lap.
Lio Rush has been a fine hype man and occasional in-match support, and now he even has a formal role, making this a 2:1 handicap match.
Finn Bálor has been the nearly man ever since he was forced to relinquish the WWE Universal Championship a couple of years ago with injury.
Most recently he lost to Brock Lesnar at a Royal Rumble megamatch, but emerged with his reputation intact.
As with Sasha and Bayley, it feels like the time is too right for Finn Bálor to miss this opportunity for glory.
In theory, the presence of Lio Rush should obviously help his mentor, but the flipside is that Finn doesn't need to pin or submit the champ... he just needs to overcome the cruiserweight.
Not that Finn will seek out the easy option, but however it happens, he'll be walking out of Elimination Chamber (and into WrestleMania?) as IC champ.
PREDICTION: Finn Bálor
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Miz and Shane McMahon (c) vs The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) WWE Elimination Chamber: The Miz and Shane McMahon vs The Usos WWE The Miz and Shane McMahon were perhaps surprise winners of the Raw tag belts despite their "best in the world" nickname.
But they do kinda wear them well, in a weird sort of way.
And while The Usos have more experience than pretty much anyone when it comes to tag team wrestling, there's a feeling that Shane-O-Mac and The Miz are on something on a roll.
So we're opting for the odd couple to hang on to the belts for a little while yet.
They may not make it all the way to New Jersey with the straps but we're going to stick our necks and say that this crazy ride isn't over yet.
But when it is, expect the fall-out and recriminations to be incredible.
PREDICTION: The Miz and Shane McMahon
WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Buddy Murphy (c) vs Akira Tozawa WWE Elimination Chamber: Buddy Murphy vs Akira Tozawa WWE 205 Live is known for two things: incredible matches and a lack of breakthrough buzz.
It's a shame, because the first should really guarantee the second, but it doesn't always work that way.
It's hard to blame the locker room. They pull out all the stops every single week, but an extra TV show on top of Raw, SmackDown Live AND NXT is too much for a mass audience to swallow.
But the Network needs content, so the obvious solutions (use an hour of Raw, or make the cruiserweights crossbrand on Raw/SDLive/NXT) just won't happen.
So here we are again. A solid champ, an exciting challenger, and a match that'll deliver on quality for sure.
Buddy Murphy has enough momentum to shrug off Tozawa's challenge this time around, and we're hoping for a crossover story to grab the eyeballs away in the next two months.
PREDICTION: Buddy Murphy
Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin WWE These two have been on a collision course for a while. Braun Strowman certainly hasn't forgotten that Baron Corbin cost him $100,000, his shot at Brock Lesnar, OR the good health of his elbow.
We imagine this one will be short, sharp and brutal, and so is our prediction.
Braun Strowman to destroy Baron Corbin in seconds. And it won't be pretty.
PREDICTION: Braun Strowman
