HEADCANON: HOW THE BF5 TEXT YOU
Tumblr media
a/n: hello hello how are ya? I know I've been fucking dead for what, 2 years and then I come back giving ya random headcanons and disappear again for a few months and again randomly come back. I'm a goddamn mess and I'm sooo sorry. I just have poor time management skills and poor mental health. And also lack of motivation. Anywayyyys, here are some headcanons which I have been planning to write for a long time but keep forgetting to do so (also I don't know whether this headcanon was already done or not).
Vert Wheeler
Okay, so this man likes to use proper grammar. Will take his time to text back and NEVER the type to leave you on read, because he thinks it’s rude to do so.
He don’t really use the newer slang a lot.
Uses emojis as a way to express his emotions, and it’s quite literal.
Like this man uses the “😭” as a sign that he’s upset.
Uses the “😂”, “😄”, “❤️”, emoji’s quite a lot.
Long paragraphs about how much he loves you, paragraphs about what happened during missions are to be expected.
Agura Ibaden
Just like Vert, she doesn’t really use newer slang.
Only uses ”😀” emoji.
Will only leave you on read if she’s busy. Otherwise she’ll text back.
Will send you multiple texts but not enough for her to blow up your phone with notifications.
Flirts with you A TON. She may not look like a flirt but, she is. Only to you.
Zoom Takazeumi
Uses a TON of newer slang.
He sends you loooong paragraphs if he’s feeling very romantic and if he deeply misses you if you’re away. But if he’s feeling normal and as always being the goofball he is, he likes to send you short multiple messages.
Uses a lot of emojis.
Zoom: Babe, I miss you so much aaaahhhhh Love you!!! ❤️❤️❤️💗💗💗💗💗💞💞💕💓💓💓💋💋💋💋💋❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️❤️‍🔥❤️🥰💗💘💓💞💋💞💋💗💘💓💋💞💕💜🧡🩵💚💕💞💋❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥💕💋💞💕💋❤️🥰❤️❤️🥰❤️🥰🥰💕💕❤️
Never leaves you on read.
Sherman Cortez
Sometimes, you wonder whether if it’s his grandma texting because he texts are so….old people-ish?
He will legit sends you Good Morning and Good Night Images. Something like this:
Tumblr media
Very sweet and romantic when he has a full on convo with you.
He usually never leaves you on read and when he does, expect a bunch of apologies and a string of “I love you”’s
His texts range from short to large paragraphs.
He uses slang rarely
Uses a shit ton of emoji’s like Zoom.
Spinner Cortez
Uses a lot of slang
Uses emoji’s more than words tbh.
Obviously, short texts.
Will leave you on read, and will apologize if you get pissed off.
The type to send you a lot of memes. If someone looks through your text messages with him, it’ll mostly be memes that you send each other and reactions from both of you.
Stanford Isaac Rhodes
He’s British and from the royal family…so no slang. He kind of hates it tbh.
Flirts with you (obviously) and also will have a full on convo with you while he’s on the mission (Vert doesn’t appreciate this)
Will send you audios of him singing songs that he wrote. It’s obviously about you.
Sends you selfies of him with a text saying “I miss you, my little angel”
Short texts, but like a bunch of them. Enough to blow up your phone.
Will get insanely nervous if you don’t text him back within an hour if you’re away.
Tezz Volitov
This man is complicated.
This man just doesn’t text and it’s not because he doesn’t like it. He forgets to message people and let them know that he’s fucking alive.
You have to be the one to message him first and he’ll message you back shortly after. (Or like a day later. Depends on how busy he is)
Does not use emoji’s.
There are days were he is the first one to text and those are verrryyy rare. (DO NOT poke him too much on that, that will make him sulk)
AJ Dalton
Blows up your fucking phone with a long line of messages.
And half of the long line of texts are just him correcting himself from that fucking annoying autocorrect.
Sends a bunch of pictures of himself. Either of him taking selfies with random things he finds during missions or of him making goofy faces.
Replies to your messages INSTANTLY. He’s actually looking forward for your message.
Uses a shit ton of emoji’s as well.

Interview with A.J. Green. He's at the Bengals draft party at the stadium. He talks some about Tee and Joe who he unfortunately only got to play with one season in 2020. I know most of you may not know AJ if you recently started following the Bengals but he was so freaking good. One of the best receivers of his era.

collaboration spotlight — Video Game Obsession by Thomas Sanders
youtube
Having a vivd imagination can be a wonderful thing. Being able to concentrate on tasks for several hours can be beneficial… or detrimental, depending on whether it's what you're supposed to be doing. As our lives become increasingly "gamified", it can be hard to maintain a separation between everyday responsibilities and recreational activities. Particularly when your brain latches onto a new hyperfixation. Just be careful not to take things too far.
Details:
title: Playing a Game Until It's All You Can Think About
performers: Thomas Sanders (Thomas); Joan Stokes (Joan); AJ Hentges (Greg); Esteban Alvarez III (Mr. Miller); T. Robert Pigott (Mr. Hendrickson); Quil Cauchon (Lily); Valerie Torres-Rosario (Dorcas); Dalton Cotter (Matt); Helaina Wize, Brianna Fogden, & Mike Marin (co-workers)
written by: Thomas Sanders & Joan Stokes
filmed & edited by: PattyCake Productions
release date: 3 April 2020
My favorite bits:
the game-styled chapter cards describing the mundane plot in fantastical terms
the ways the office and fantasy worlds bleed into each other
"I will see to't." 🙂 "You will see to't?" 🤨 "I will see to't". 😤
Thomas's impassioned speech about camaraderie, and one co-worker's hesitant applause
"Something's… happening… again."
his dramatic three-point landing on the kitchenette floor
the reward on the final quest card being infinite money 💰
Mr. Hendrickson's complete change of demeanor, and everyone's protracted unison expression of incredulity
"Ooh, cupcakes!" 🧁

Trivia:
○ This video was filmed in early March, just before lockdown began.
○ PattyCake called on several regular cast members from their own projects to play the denizens of the office.
Robby and Helaina play Captain Hook and Mother Goethel, respectively, in The Villains Lair series.
Brianna is a swing performer and makeup artist for both the Villains Lair and The Princess Academy series.
Mike was featured in the "Disney Girls Like You" and "10,000 Hours" videos in the previous year.
○ Valerie had previously appeared opposite Thomas as one of the ladies-in-waiting in Malinda's music video for "Don't Make Me", also produced by PattyCake.

QT Marshall vs. Big Boom AJ, AEW Full Gear 2024 - Zero Hour, November 23, 2024
Tumblr media
There's been a lot of discussion about fighting for the soul of All Elite Wrestling and restoring the feeling and creating a coherent identity and what it means to be a challenger brand and why is there so much tonal whiplash on its signature weekly TV show, Dynamite, and what does it mean to have a sports-based product after last year's Continental Classic when Tony Khan challenged fans to "put their fucking money where your mouth is."
Those discussions' temperature ramped up when TikTok sensations the Costco Guys and the Rizzler were featured on AEW's secondary shows, Rampage and Collision, in the run-up from their last PPV, Wrestledream, to their most recent Full Gear PPV. Why is AEW doing business with these TikTok acts when they won't appreciably add to the ticket sales or PPV buys for Full Gear, since the match between QT Marshall and Eric Justice aka Big Boom AJ isn't even on Full Gear's main card? Why does AEW work with minor celebrities like the Costco Guys, Paul Walter Hauser, and Martin Kove?
I have no answers to any of those existential questions. If I did, I certainly wouldn't be giving them away for free on the Internet. I can say that, my queasiness around putting children who are viral sensations on air aside, this attempt with siphoning some of the Costco Guys' and the Rizzler's virality is at least one of AEW's better attempts in design and execution.
For the AEW viewer, it's generally limited to the company's secondary programming (unlike how Martin Kove was on Dynamite with Britt Baker)
The intent is to create a match, meaning that the result is ultimately brought back to the in-ring product, which should be AEW's focus (unlike how Paul Walter Hauser feuded with Jeff Jarrett without ever getting to a match)
Eric Justice, aka Big Boom AJ, is a former minor independent wrestler, so the match itself should be credible enough, if unspectacular (see Paul Walter Hauser's interference in Dalton Castle vs. Johnny TV at ROH Supercard of Honor 2024)
This association with the Costco Guys and the Rizzler only works as much as it does because they were partnered with QT Marshall, who specializes in playing the goober heel that exists only to be taken down a peg. Marshall is able to guide Big Boom AJ through the match and make enough exaggerated faces to get the crowd to delight at his agony. He is the consummate major league pre-show wrestler: sturdy enough to not embarrass himself or his opponent, consistently motivated by petty jealousy to play the stooge whom the crowd wants to see lose, and self-aware enough to know his role in the company that he is comfortable with playing the foil to a guest of the company. This was one of Marshall's finest performance as a wrestling goof.
For his part, Big Boom AJ looked as good as you'd expect a 47 years old former independent wrestler who hadn't wrestled a match in three years (and that was after a 16 year gap) and whose primary claim to fame is eating food from Costco. His punches were solid, and his climbs to the top turnbuckle tentative, if we were to be generous. He hit a solid and safe powerslam on Marshall, and I still can't believe they let his pre-adolescent son spear Marshall. (See above for my queasiness of involving children in professional wrestling.)
One of the proposed solutions for AEW's identity crisis is that Tony Khan should listen to the fans for who should be pushed as the face of the company. On this night, if Khan had listened to the crowd, he could have come to the wrong conclusion that Big Boom AJ and the Rizzler needed to be featured more in AEW. There's also the adage that the promotion should send the crowd home happy; if I watched Full Gear - Zero Hour because Big Boom AJ was there, I could have closed the browser tab with AEW's PPV preshow after AJ's match because I would have been satisfied, and AEW wouldn't have converted me to be a paying customer. This is the conundrum of trying to glom off of someone else's shine, even if this particular instance worked out as well as it could have.

Rieko Ioane in action for Blues against Fijian Drua during Super Rugby season

Rieko Ioane in action for Blues against Fijian Drua during Super Rugby season
2024 Super Rugby For the Crusaders game on Blues Saturday in Christchurch, the All Blacks Rugby‘ backline combo of Rieko Ioane and Stephen Perofeta have recovered from injury, which is a boost for the Blues.
After missing the previous two weeks of play due to a concussion, Ioane makes his comeback to the run-on side at outside centre. Meanwhile, Perofeta, who has been sidelined since March due to a shoulder ailment, will start at full back.
Prior to the Blues’ triumph against the Highlanders in Auckland last Saturday, Perofeta was listed on the bench; however, he left the team just before the game began.
Super Rugby match info
Event: Blues vs Crusaders
Date: Saturday, May 25
Venue: Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch
Kick-off: 19:05 local (08:05 BST, 07:05 GMT)
Blues team to face Crusaders

Replacements: 16 Ricky Riccitelli, 17 Joshua Fusitu’a, 18 PJ Sheck, 19 Josh Beehre, 20 Cameron Suafoa, 21 Sam Nock, 22 Cole Forbes, 23 Caleb Tangitau
Read more about Super Rugby Pacific How to Watch
After being rested for the Highlanders game, Blu captain Patrick Tuipulotu also makes a comeback to the match-day squad, lining up in the second row with Sam Darry.
Mark Tele’a and Hoskins Sotutu, who are positioned on the right wing and number eight, respectively, are among the other players who are rejoining head coach Vern Cotter’s significantly altered starting lineup.
Due to Sotutu’s comeback, Adrian Choat, who played in the number six jersey the previous week, packs down on the openside while Akira Ioane moves from the base of the scrum to the blindside flank.
We’re fortunate to have a variety of high-quality looseies available, Cotter remarked. This week is Choaty, Aki, and Hoskins’ turn, and I’m sure they’ll give it their all in their performance.
Two other changes have been made to the back-line: Taufa Funaki has taken Sam Nock’s place at scrum-half, while AJ Lam has moved from outside center to left wing.
Blues make a daring attempt to get Beau-den Barrett back to Super Rugby Pacific as soon as possible.
The last change comes up front, where Marcel Renata is replaced by Angus Ta’avao as the starting tight head prop. He packs down in the front row with loose head prop Ofa Tu’ungafasi, who signed a contract extension with the Blu earlier this week, and Kurt Blunder, the hooker.
For their journey to Christchurch this week, the Blu have decided to rest All Blacks studs Dalton Papali’i and Caleb Clarke.
The Blues are leading the standings in Super Rugby Pacific with just two matches remaining in the regular season, and Cotter stated that nothing changes for them when they play their fiercest opponents.
