Botanical Illustrations - Supernatural Edition (Hand drawn by me!)

Happy Halloween Everyone!

I wasn't quite sure what to do for Simblreen this year, then I had barely time to get to do a gift so... Why not speed draw everything in a day and a half! :p It was fun nonetheless though. Yep, these are all hand drawn by me!

It comes with 3 different presets: Simlish, English and Latin!

Why are some of them not accurate to the game?!

I wanted it to be more "universal"! So some of them I felt the concept was better done in Ts3, whereas others were done in TS4. That's why they may look a bit different from what you may remember.

Or, In some cases I did add a bit of my own spin to it, as most plants are pretty low poly :p

Handful of Hobby Items Collection 🪀

The Sims 2 and The Sims 4 both have really nice variations of hobby items that we have in The Sims 3, so I decided to convert some and put them together in a hobby item collection!

The basketball hoop on the right in the first photo, the basketball court markings, and the freestanding ballet barre are from The Sims 2: FreeTime.

The basketball hoop on the left in the first photo is from The Sims 4: City Living, the piano and telescope are from The Sims 4 base game, the easel is from The Sims 4: Discover University, the training dummy is from The Sims 4: Strangerville, and the dance floor is from The Sims 4: Get Together.

The piano and one version of the dance floor require The Sims 3: Late Night and the training dummy requires The Sims 3: World Adventures to function.

The basketball hoops need the Rim Rockin’ Basketball Hoop, and the ballet barre and the other version of the dance floor need the Stiff As A Board, Light As A Feather Dance Collection from The Sims 3 Store to function.

The plastic chair in the first preview photo is a conversion by aisquaredchoco here, and the mural is a previous conversion of mine here.

the brightmore makeover pic dump + yap

i know ive already posted a bajillion pics but i want to talk more about this lot!! i was heavily inspired by @/enable-llamas decorating style, and the maisonette 9 nightclub from gta 4. a high-end spot for celebs and party people.

above is the coat check area. on the right, bordered by the neon stripes, is the entrance to the private VIP room. there is also space to put a small management office somewhere on the same floor, or in the lobby of the building. i haven't built those but they would make sense if this lot was to become a set piece for a story.

not really sure what to put in the VIP room. a bar, hot tubs, an orgy room? the mgmt office would have security TVs, lockers, a safe, and the manager/owner's computer.

more club interior pics below the cut. i mention some of the cc used if anyone was curious to know.

the 3 seating areas... more seats than i'll ever use. i placed an ungodly amount of invisible debug lights to light the entire club in pink, purple, blue and cyan. the vertical neon stripes came from the roaring heights world i believe. the champagne bottle and glasses are a store item edited by me.

super handy 1x1 coffee table by @aisquaredchoco to match the late night EP's seats and end tables.

the main bar. the lit sign is by aroundthesims3, the light-up shelves, bar, and counters are by enable-llamas on modthesims.

the dancefloor. the light-up rug is by kiolometro on TSR, the floor to ceiling black audio speakers are by aroundthesims3.

Thank you for the tags for doing the 24 pictures for 2024 thingie - sadly I didn't post that often, so there is nothing to see here… I'll just add some screenshots from my hard drive. But this might be something of a resolution for 2025 which I also got tagged for: to post more? To play more? Definitely on my wishlist for the upcoming year.

And it's also more than high time to thank all those lovely people who put nice messages in my inbox in 2024, which each should receive a proper reply, but that's something I am notoriously bad at.

So this maybe is more of an appreciation post for all the kind simmers who thought of me in the past year. Thank you for that and for making my days brighter!

TS4 Modern Luxe Kit Curtains (short height only) - 4t3 conversion

One of those objects that I can't imagine WHY EA didn't make it before - it's just two curtains and a matching rod that will fit practically ANY window. That's it, incredibly simple, but fixes a massive headache!

They fit no matter if you use the rod or not, if you're using a narrower window. I also didn't convert the tall height windows because since tall height =/= double height, it felt... kinda useless to convert them :x

Curtains are 400 poly each and have 3 channels, rod is around 60 polys and only has one channel. All in Decor > Curtains, $125. BGC.

Last Movie: Re-watched Jaws recently! I STILL find that movie terrifying. But, I rarely watch movies these days. I usually prefer tv shows because I like getting invested in longer-term storylines. :)

Last book: Currently re-reading Wicked, one of my favorite books (I still haven’t seen the movie!)

Sweet/spicy/savoury: Savory. But I love all three and definitely have a pretty bad sweet tooth sometimes! (I can't help myself around jellybeans).

Last googled: A spinach and mushroom frittata recipe.

Current obsession: Honestly I'm kind of in between obsessions right now and it's stressing me out. Praying to the ADHD gods for a new hyperfixation to keep me energized. 😂I guess Sims 3 counts, right?

Looking forward to: A trip to Colombia next month with my partner where we hope to do some mountain biking, snorkeling, salsa lessons, and bird-watching!
