Where does the whole "Airbnbs make you clean the place yourself even though they charge a cleaning fee!" thing even come from. I've stayed in at least a dozen and investigated probably a hundred others before booking. Not a single time have I seen a policy like that. The absolute most I have ever been told to do is wash dishes and take out the trash. And I've actually been told NOT to clean before. Requesting guests to clean the place after is simply not a part of how the site works, in my experience.
