Am I the only one who finds it kind of sweet that Akihiko's pen name for his BL novels (Akikawa Yayoi) is a combination of his first name and Aikawa's last name? I'm not sure if Nakamura did that on purpose, but I like to think it's because Aikawa plays an important role in the creation of the Junai Romantica novels.

To Your Eternity: 1st Season (2021)

Plot premise:  An Orb, known only as It, is cast to Earth to be observed from afar. Capable of changing forms from beings whose reflections It captures, It first becomes a rock and then, due to the rising temperature, moss.

It does not move until one snowy day, a wolf at death's door barely crosses by. When It takes the animal's form, It attains awareness of its consciousness and starts to wander with an unclear destination in mind. Soon, It comes across the wolf's master—a young boy waiting for his tribe to return from a paradise abundant with fish and fruit in the south. Although the boy is lonely, he still hopes those whom he holds dear in his memories have not forgotten him and that he will reunite with them one day.

The boy wants to explore new surroundings and decides to abandon his home with It to find the paradise using the traces his tribe left behind. However, with a heavily injured body and no sight of his elder comrades, what will become of the boy?

Fumetsu no Anata e illustrates the story of an immortal being experiencing humanity, meeting all types of people in many places throughout time.

± The emotions in this anime are so intense. It's makes you and Fushi attached only to rip your heart to shreds in a few episodes. I started watched two similarly themed anime at the same time: To Your Eternity is about pain as catalysts for growth, while Frieren seems more about just having to deal with the cycle of life as an elf who just lives very very long. The latter deals with the beauty to be found in the brevity of life VS To Your Eternity's life is peaks and valleys of pain and happiness. More please.

Akihiko helps pay for Aikawa's operations because it's the least he can do for how much she does for him. Misaki definitely buys her a "congratulations" present!

Misaki's transition was something that wasn't part of his plan, but Akihiko insisted that if Misaki wanted it then he should go for it. Misaki won't admit it but he was extremely happy that Akihiko wasn't upset seeing his afab body and still loves him. Misaki always wanted to go through hrt and surgery, but knew it'd be complicated.

I like to imagine Misaki feeling complicated due to the fact Takahiro only saw him as his "little sister". He came out to Akihiko when the two were becoming friendly and Akihiko was like "oh so that explains a lot" and Misaki was secretly very happy knowing Akihiko was okay with gendering him correctly. Though he made him promise not to tell Takahiro (who is just unaware). Akihiko also bought Misaki a binder :)

When they got together, Misaki was very relieved that Akihiko still loves him despite his body being "feminine". Though later through the years when theyre still dating, Akihiko asks if Misaki wants to start hrt and surgery. Misaki is very nervous because he's unsure if he's okay with a huge change but Akihiko offers to pay for everything if its what he wants. He just wants Misaki to be happy and after awhile, Misaki lets him pay for things
