Ralf and Clark, two seasoned mercenaries from the Ikari Warriors, stroll out of the local arcade, walking side by side and enjoying each other's company. The sound of Ralf's infectious laughter and Clark's deep, rumbling chuckles fill the air as they exchange jokes. Ralf's lighthearted humour contrasts perfectly with Clark's dry, dark wit. Their brotherly banter turns playful as Clark sarcastically teases Ralf about his stubbornness and rowdy tendencies, while Ralf pokes fun at Clark about his serious demeanour.

As they draw closer to the nearest park, they notice a 12-year-old girl walking around alone without adult supervision. They stop walking and freeze, wondering why she's by herself and what's with that massive backpack. Clark exchanges a stoic glance with Ralf, knowing what he's going to do next, and his brother-in-arms looks at him with a mix of confidence and slight concern.

"Don't worry, bro. I've got this," Ralf tells Clark, flashing him a reassuring smile before striding over to the young girl.

Clark sits down on the nearest bench, keeping a watchful eye on Ralf to make sure he doesn't make any impulsive decisions.

Luckily for Fio, Tarma arrives just in time in the SV-001, and they both come to a stop once they have a clear view of the portal.

Fio turns to face Anna, a gentle smile spreading across her face as she says softly, "I guess this is goodbye. I sincerely hope we can meet again someday."

In the Dread Forest

Today is another day of brutal fighting. Marco's team, dispatched by the Regular Army's high command, has been tasked with neutralising a rogue splinter cell of Rebel soldiers that has taken hold in an impoverished Ajirabian town. The cell is comprised largely of fanatics and sympathisers of the notorious General Morden.

As of now, Tarma pilots the SV-001, and Fio is by his side as they flee from a group of fanatic land troops who have spotted them after Tarma's impulsive decision to shoot down the enemy's sole radio tower. While evading their pursuers' attacks, Fio hurls a couple of fire bombs to catch them off guard. In the chaos, the duo inadvertently stumbles into a mysterious hole, plummeting them into a swirling abyss. The free-fall seems endless, leaving them startled and disoriented. It feels like they've been falling for hours, though mere seconds tick by.

They land abruptly in a strange forest, the SV-001's impact muffled by the soft earth. Fio tumbles out, her arms and legs grazed by bladed weapons before she lands with a thud on her butt. Dazed, she struggles to catch her breath. Tarma swiftly shuts down the controls of the SV-001, exiting in a state of confusion and growing concern as he sees Fio injured.

After quickly bandaging her wounds and administering her Ventolin inhaler, they carefully look around their surroundings. The forest looms around them, its large trees adorned with an array of weapons lodged in their branches. Their training kicks in, and they instinctively decide to proceed with caution, exploring the forest to unravel the mystery of their current location.

*The forest gave off an eerie vibe as the two explored. Anna was hiding behind a tree nearby the two.*
