You know what would be the funniest thing for the batfamily to find out about Tim's misadventures in Young Justice that he never really told them about? Well, he didn't tell them *anything* but you know what I mean.

Is it the mystery ghost girl who was friends with Darksied for a while? No. The fact they invaded a country? No. Is it the time they went to Hell and got mind controlled by little imps and Kara saved them? No. While all of these are funny, there is one thing that I think takes the cake.

The fact that two government officials (Agents Fite and Maad) tried to arrest them at least 6 times and got them trapped in a facility a minimum of one time. Honestly they probably have a dozen other quests not covered in the Canon stories (you know, for fan fiction opportunities) so the number may even be over a dozen. And it's the same two dudes everytime who are not police and these are also children at the time so they are double sketchy on that alone. Add in the fact that they are literally hunting one of their friends and do not stick to trying to arrest them in America but go *Global* after them? God everyone would go Feral over that, especially if Tim says, "im pretty sure they didn't work for any actual government but for CADMUS. They also kidnapped Red Tornado's daughter that one time to get us to come out of hiding." And Kon can reply, "no no you're thinking of the time they bribed a judge to take his kid away, the kidnapping was someone else. Also which time are you thinking of they tried that?"

Dick grabs and shakes the kid a little bit for not even thinking to mention this to him, even through gossip and when Bart goes "I didn't think it was too important, a lot happened" Wally almost kills him right there and then

I'm weirdly fine with how the free agents ended. I liked Z but wasn't worth to overpaid, I just wish Lindy had fited with the Canucks. He was a big part in the playoffs with his defensive side but Canucks need his offensive side and unfortunately he had trouble in founding his way on that. Besides Lindholm, i don't think the team had big losses.

In the panel where Empress is mis-labeled as a villain, is that also Fite 'n Maad? Are they considered villains/adversaries of Young Justice? Or did. They literally only get one villain right there with Harm?

LMAO YEAH. Let's... let's break this panel down:

(Dark Crisis: Young Justice #4)

Looming in the background we've got Mickey Mxyzptlk who is the figure causing the trouble the boys are stuck in at this moment, right before his proper reveal. He's a villain, but as a new character introduced for this book, he's not a pre-established villain Young Justice has faced (though Young Justice did go against his father). However, considering he's not one of the proper figures depicted here and rather this ghostly figure behind the clouds, the 'our villains' line likely wasn't meant to be including him anyways.

Top left we've got Billy Hayes/Harm, Greta's brother (despite... Greta herself, a member of Young Justice, not showing up in this book at all outside of variant covers) and he is absolutely a villain that Young Justice went up against more than once.

Top right we've got Anita Fite/Empress, who is a member of Young Justice herself. Her initial appearances were as a mysterious figure popping up around the team, but one of her very first actions in the book was literally saving Cassie after she'd been injured, and she very quickly joins the team. She is a hero, and in no way a villain.

Bottom left & right i'm gonna group together, because you're right that is Fite 'n Maad/Donald Fite & Ishido Maad. As a duo of A.P.E.S. agents, early on they frequently butted heads with Young Justice and served as occasional antagonists in the more literary definition of the term, as a 'force that opposes the protagonists'. But they're absolutely not villains—especially after the point that Anita, Donald's daughter, joins the team.

Then front & center is the one that makes me laugh the most. The character depicted here is Baron Bedlam, who is a villain... but he is not Young Justice's villain. Now, the thing is, Young Justice does have a villain named Matthew Stuart/Bedlam, from one of their earliest stories JLA: World Without Grown-Ups (and later the follow-up story World Without Young Justice).

So like, this is clearly an art error. I'd almost guarantee the original script given to the artist mentioned 'Bedlam' as one of the characters to appear on the panel, and the artist googled 'Bedlam Young Justice' (a reasonable enough thing to google when looking for a reference) BUT because of the Young Justice cartoon which bears little if any resemblance to anything from the comics and did feature Baron Bedlam as a character... this is what comes up:

And so that character got used for a reference instead of the actual correct Bedlam for when dealing with the comics Young Justice team. And for some reason... nobody on editorial caught it before it went to print/at some earlier stage in the art process, or at least nobody thought it was important enough to fix. Which is... wild to me.

But anyways, yes, you are correct in saying Harm is the only villain they actually got right here.

continuing my young: just us bullshit because i have four seasons already fully outlined :)

Season two opens a few days after season one ends, and theres still no sign of Secret, who they now know was a thirteen year old girl named Greta Hayes (greta definitely had the vibes of someone younger than the others). Tim is on a call with Oracle trying to see if there's any sign of her when Anita bursts into Mount Justice with news: Greta is in custody of A.P.E.S. So of course, being them, they immediately break into a government facility to break her out. And on the way out, they run into someone that causes them so problems: Agent Donald Fite. Anita's father. So, to get away, they cause an explosion (read: slobo and bart) and break out of the hole in Mount Rushmore.

Episode two is that one issue where in universe cocomelon brainwashes children into killing their parents.

Episode three is the continuation of episode two, where the team decides to mettle in red tornados life and help him get back and commit a shit ton of crime. Anita is once again in so much trouble.

Episodes four through eight are focused on old justice, it's pretty much like it was in the comic.

Episode nine is the most important episode of the season: Unstrung. The kids are hanging out together but when they drop cissie back at her school, she sees what happened and she is pissed. She gets her bow and just starts running after them. Hunts them as if for sport. And just when she's about to make the final move, kill them, get her revenge. Kon catches her arrow. And he tells her to think about it.

Episode ten picks up where episode nine leaves off, kon telling cissie to think about it. and she does. when she realizes what she was about to do, she runs from the woods and Kon runs after her. They sit together in the dark for a while, Kon holding Cissie and telling her everythings going to be okay. He doesn't believe it. They go to cassies, they try and cheer her up, it doesn't work. Cissie resigns. And on the way out, she kisses Cassie instead of Tim.

You know... 🤔 While I imagine Sal is out scouting what is accessible of the world of Gaia (FFIX) for some... interesting answers to interesting things, I've come to realize a potential new headcanon about her. (Yes, a headcanon for an OC. Hahaha!)

She's curious, yes, but I think her knack for observing, listening and gathering intel could also be a remnant from the agent days.

There are things that she has allowed to gather dust, such as combat techniques (she does not like Fite, as some of us know,) but others she may have inadvertently gotten even better at over the years just because they were never retired - for multiple reasons. And gathering intel is one of those things.~

As for the reasons, again: curiosity. Plays well with how she operates. However, she does live with a particular level of scrutiny, thanks to the governmental powers that be - and even her own agency, now that I recall once more...

There's a part of me that's fairly certain that her agency still keeps tabs on her too. She no longer wishes to participate after everything that happened in the past, but... that stuff... is not the kind of stuff they just let you walk away from. If you ever see her withholding information the way that she does, one of the many reasons she does is because she never knows where not only the powers beyond her agency are, but the agency itself is. The irony of there being an agency whose goal was to help liberate the oppressed from higher powers of government, only to detain her all the same if she speaks a word of their existence or "says the wrong thing." Ahaha that's that double-edged sword logic that I do so love, yessss.~

I have so many little story thoughts run through my head all the time that I sometimes forget things...! In that respect, I forget she actually may not have the best feelings towards the agency itself nowadays... mostly because it feels like another source of entrapment. And she has never done well with cages...

(Though, to be fair and not make it sound like an absolute drag: I imagine she still has connections a.k.a "friends" in the agency, in this case as well. Some that may even be willing to exercise lenience when it comes to keeping tabs on her. Turn a blind eye here and there, if something "questionable" happens. There may even be those who are in her corner and help her stay off someone else's radar!

Lordy, I hate that I forget things sometimes - but it's always cool when I remember certain intricacies to stories and characters all over again! Hahaha!)

Barney Miller 101: The Squad

Barney: In charge of this chaos. Practical, kind, patient, protective of his people, worries about them and does his best to help them. Dad In Charge. Jewish. Morals are more important than the letter of the law because sometimes the law, and bureaucracy, is stupid. All-around good guy. Deserves better.

Fish: Been there done that got the aches and pains to show for it. Old and going to complain about it because he damn well deserves it. 120% done with this shit. Reluctantly married and 50% prunes and painkillers by weight.

Yemana: The most unlucky gambler ever to walk this earth, and yet he continues, undaunted. Once got his sideburn shot off. Worst coffee maker the planet has yet seen. Japanese. Sentenced to 25 to life in Filing in 1960 and hasn’t escaped yet.

Harris: Dapper As Fuck. Writer, spends more of his time trying to make money than almost anything else, and annoyed by all this crap. Does Not Care until he really does. Makes a shockingly good looking woman. Black and proud. Best Hair Award 45 yrs running.

Wojo: His full name is unspellable unless you’re Polish, accept it. Built like a brick house and eats like a horse. Former Marine and proud of it. A straightforward, nice boy who has the most character growth by a country mile and is trying really hard even if he doesn’t always understand. Squad Slut, total himbo. Also plays the flute and faints at needles.

Dietrich: 90% of his personality is Fun Facts, Dramatic Effect, and feeding off other people feeling awkward. Pedantic as hell, wit dry as fuck, puns always. His jokes are terrible. Obsessed with Goethe for some reason. Grows his own wheat in his apartment. Always has a definition ready. Intellectual Asshole but cute about it (it’s probably the glasses).

Chano: Passionate af. Dancer, Puerto Rican, loves his country, a silly boy. Once had to write a burglary report and had to write his own name under ‘Victim’. Loves playing secret agent. Broke down sobbing when he had to shoot a guy and needed a week off to recover. Loved wearing a dress for mugging detail completely unironically.

Wentworth: Gets combat fever like CRAZY oh my god do not get in her way. Survived a relationship with Wojo, sanity intact. Does not care what people think about her and focuses like a laser. Protective af, tiny and will fite you. (and you will lose.)

Batista: Don’t fuck with her. Even tinier than Wentworth and even more determined. More arrests than everyone else combined. Gets Shit Done.

Levitt: He’s short and he’s angry about it. Fluent in ASL, determined to make detective no matter what it takes. Frequently misunderstands because he is convinced that there is a trick to getting this damn promotion and there isn’t. Has the worst suits, bless him.

The vet called me a little while ago with the histopathology results. IT WASN’T CANCER! I was so scared that the mass was malignant and am so grateful that it wasn’t. That’s the good news. The bad news? Still no definitive answer. The doctor is going to continue looking for answers, see if she can find any similar cases.

The extensive degree of necrosis present is suggestive of an infarction. The underlying cause is not evident in this sample. Possible causes include a venomous bite, previous trauma, infection, or a chemical/thermal burn that caused vasculitis, leading to subsequent ischemic necrosis. Special stains are pending to further rule out fungal and acid-fast agents. Results will be forwarded in an addendum. Aerobic culture and sensitivity on fresh tissue may be indicated to further rule out an antibiotic-resistant pyoderma.

History/Background:

Indy was found at a HYDRA base (about early/mid Season 2) by SHIELD agents; Agent Morse, Agent May, Agent Coulson, Agent Johnson, and Agent Hunter. According to her and HYDRA data, she had been there ever since she was 2-3 yrs old or as long as she could remember, as a lab rat for HYDRA’s experiments (they did not find any additional information on her, her family or where she was from). The agents who found her brought her back to SHIELD HQ, and after about six months of rehabilitation and therapy (and learning basic words/sign language), she joined SHIELD as a field agent.

The only clue they had to who she was was a scraggly teddy bear with a faded name written on it's foot- Daisy could make out the name Indy, so that's what they called her.

It was quickly discovered after her rescue that she had supernatural abilites- the ability to alter and manipulate her body heat to extreme temperatures, and even project it out of her own body. She has since learned to control her abilities and use them in combat situations.

Okay going to continue my explanation of young: just us with an explanation of season one!

so since a lot of the early yj stuff was very secret focused, season one is focused on Greta. So after the series premiere, as documented in my first post about this, we come to episode five, where the team has their first encounter with Harm. During this fight, it is made very clear that Secret is uncomfortable with Harm but isn't sure why. The team isn't sure what to do and they're losing pretty badly, tim is being thrown around, cassie isn't doing all that much damage, bart is lying face down on the road, kon's ttk isn't doing all that much, all of cissie's arrows are being thrown back at her, he's dodging all anita's attacks and her powers aren't working on him, slobo got thrown into the sky and hasn't come down yet, shits hitting the fan. so tim makes an executive decision to book it and no one is complaining.

Episode six they have a parent teacher conference <3 this goes roughly the same as it did in the comics but +agent fite. yaknow how it is, silly goofy fun camping times with the kids, everyone ragging on bonnie, kon seeming vaguely suicidal, tim being paranoid enough to wear two masks. just some team bonding and a look in on their home lives (or lack thereof)

Episode Seven they have to deal with something unimportant and in the background kon's trying to catch cissie's arrows because he thinks he should be able to (this will be important)

Episode eight, they meet with harm again while stopping him from killing the pope (wtf was the point of this???? gonna use it anyway). And everyones starting to feel somethings fucking off when hardly any of their attacks are working. Only Secret's. Anita is able to do a tiny bit of damage but not much. So Cassie says run and they run. (tims still the leader but people listen to cassie)

Episode nine theyre having a pool day but most of the team runs off, leaving greta alone by the pool. She's looking into the water and starts to see things. A brother. A sister. A stereo and a bathtub. She's terrified. Immediately runs to go find the others and tell them she knows who Harm is, who she is. And she knows something else, too. Harm is dead and so is she.

Episode ten is a ghost battle for the ages with the others running around trying to tip things in greta's favor. It's working, but barely. She's only just barely winning by an inch. At the end of the fight, they disappear into a cloud of dust. No one knows what to do so after hours of waiting in silence they just go home.

And that's season one :)
