“ I fear that I might lose you, or that perhaps, I would leave you earlier than I would hope. ”
The hand on his hand made his heart flutter. To feel Razok there, to feel his warmth and energy meant everything. This injury could be very serious in the sense that this could be his normal, but apart of him felt as though it would only last a few hours. Ulaz wouldn’t know until he got in touch with another doctor to confirm.
“ And I love you, Razok. ”
Words that weren’t thrown around so easily and often. Ulaz knew that the other just knew how he felt. The doctor’s actions would speak for their self. The way the Blades trained him, these feelings were supposed to be casted away. However, he kept them there at the surface more than others.
“ I believe my condition is not going to be permanent. However, I do think it is wise to find another doctor for their input. ”

It was reckless. He felt stupid. How could he be so reckless like that? He should have seen that chemical spraying through that vent, he should have been paying more attention ahead of him instead of behind him. How shameful.
Ulaz lowered his head, ears following in motion. He felt Razok hands in his, and he gave a squeeze for reassurance.
The doctor could hear and feel the fear in Razok. He hated when he was the one that caused such a feeling. So, Ulaz trailed one hand up Razok’s arm, finding his face, and caressing his cheek. It was a small reassurance. He hoped it was enough. It was all he had to offer him.
“ I am...please forgive me. I did not mean to cause such fear in you. ” he always wanted to make it home to Razok, to see his face...his sweet face. It was the only thing that helped him through these missions.

Ulaz heard what Razok heard, and he couldn’t help but grin. A little chuckle came from the Galra as he shifted. He got up from kneeling in front of the other, and moved to sit next to him. Amber hues looked forward for a moment before he responded, and turned his head to face him.
“ It does sound like a vacation, ” it was a small start. A week or two of just healing, being in each other’s company, “ A start. ”
The doctor shifted closer, letting his shoulder bump with Razok’s. Ulaz liked the sound of leaving, starting a family, and just spending the rest of his years with just Razok. It would be nice, it would be ideal, and something he would like before one of them meets their end. A family, a child, sounded just wonderful. He adored kits. They had some sort of energy that he wished he had. Besides, he also would like to have one at some point in his life.
However, he wasn’t going to push anything unless both of them were sure. Maybe Ulaz wasn’t so sure of himself yet, maybe taking that week or two off will give him some sort of idea.

So much had been going on as Razok was getting him to safety. Ulaz felt as though he was in the way, causing more harm than help.
The doctor allowed Razok to pull him around. Then again, he had no choice in the matter. He couldn’t see and had to use his smell and hearing to help move himself along the best he could.
However, it didn’t take them long to make it to the escape pod, and pushed it away from the larger ship. Ulaz was placed into a chair, and the doctor was grateful to be able to rest, be safe, to have the two of them safe from the Galra soliders.
It wasn’t long until he heard the questions spoken to him. His ears shifted forward some, guessing this blob of color before him was Razok. He felt the other’s hands on either side of his face, a caring and gentle touch. This caused him to relax more, shoulders dropped, and muscles loosened.
“ I...I am not all too sure what it was. It could be some sort of chemical, ” the shock of his condition subsided, and he was able to focus, “ I can not be certain, but we will have to have another doctor at the base run some tests. Then, we will have to see from there. ”

It was a great feeling to be here, to be grounded by a familiar figure and presences.
Shiro was something different. A man touched by starlight, filled with stardust, and born from those ashes. He was truly something cosmic. He was strong after all he had been through. Ulaz was there on that ship with him, watching him, and making sure he kept alive. Of course, Shiro knew nothing of this, and knew that he was involved with this arm before.
There was a lot of history between them, and yet Ulaz wasn’t so sure if Shiro knew more of his involvement. But, either way, the Galra felt a certain attachment to him, a certain feeling he thought would be forever distant from.
He wasn’t so certain what it was, but he cared for him greatly.
Ears lowered at the words that Shiro spoke. He had lost someone. This someone was very dear to him. That was clear. The doctor could recall the man having red eyes and puffy cheeks when he came to his apartment. Even before he was invited to his house, there was something off about him before that too.
Ulaz turned to face him fully, his ears still lowered as he did so, “ I am sorry for your loss, Shiro. This war has taken a lot from so many, and I am sorry that it has taken someone from you. I hope that pain heals quickly. ”
There was a small pause, “ And if you need to talk about it, or just have someone to listen to you...I am more than happy to be that person. ”
When grief is deepest, words are fewest
⌈ — After escorting Ulaz to the spare room, Shiro chuckled and shook his head; there was no way he could ever repay his friend for all his help. Shiro felt like he should do more, or say more…Ulaz did so much for him, and now he was on Earth to help those that were in need. He had to admit to himself that seeing his friend in this light cause a soft warmth spread through his chest. But quickly shook it off because he was not about to enter into those trains of thoughts.
There was no need to ponder on what could be feelings of something more than just admiration towards the Galra; not that he didn’t find Ulaz attractive despite their difference. But he enjoy the alien’s company. His soft spoken voice, they way it made him feel more relaxed and calm…compared to just an hour or so ago, he was in despair at the loss of a loved one. His only one as he had no family or anyone that was that close to him. Sure, he had Keith, and the other paladins…but…it wasn’t the same.
So he was grateful for his friend to be here with him.
“No need to thank me, Ulaz. After everything you have done for me, I dont know if I could ever repay you. You did save my life after all and..I…”
He gulped and adverted his gaze down, not wanting to show how his eyes were filled with tears, he did not want to shed them in front of the other.
“Despite everything that had happened to me, I’m glad that at least I can have this opportunity to say thank you, and knowing you’re alright means more to me than anything. Losing someone I cared about hurts, but…with you hear…I feel like a small burden had been lifted off my shoulders. For now at least.”
He then frowned, eyes still down…
“Forgive me, I think I said too much. You should rest, Ulaz…I will see you in the morning.”⌋

Send “Pain is weakness leaving the body” and I will randomly generate how your muse will find mine…
5. with a stab wound
He stumbled back and forth between the walls as he held the knife’s edges, not wanting to remove the one thing that kept him from bleeding out. A small noise of pain, grunts, escaped from behind his masked face. He was in a lot of pain.
The knife was in his side, and at the current moment, he wasn’t quite sure if it hit anything important. Maybe? Possibly? He’d find out from another doctor. Hopefully, they could help him out. His body wasn’t much different from humans anyway.
Amber hues spotted the first person in the hall, and he was more than happy to see it was someone he knew.
“ S-Shiro... ” his voice very distant, slowly his energy was being drained, “ I need...s-some assistance. ”

It was a conversation for a more private area, and Ulaz could agree with that. He didn’t want anyone here in earshot to hear what they were speaking of. The word will spread, and Kolivan would be asking questions. That would make the doctor feel more...guilty, and would more than likely stay for sure.
There was a hand upon the side of his face. It brought him out of his thoughts. A low purr began to emit from within him, amber hues closed just a for a second or two as he leaned into his touch.
“ It sounds like a great idea to me, Razok. ” he spoke his agreement aloud, letting his eyes flutter open, and his purrs deepened at the gentle kiss on his forehead.
Ulaz chuckled lowly, slowly pulling away from Razok. His clawed hands quickly finished wrapping up his wounded leg, “ It is not too bad this time, ” a small scolding tone as he looked at him once again, “ Just a couple of days, a week or a week and a half at most. ”

cherrykat96:
Miscerelene watched once more as the doctor approached the scared man sitting in his bed while lowering his ears and…purring? That’s a sound she hadn’t heard nor made in phoebs! She felt bad for the poor guy and wondered what had happened to him that caused the amputation of his leg. She would never ask, of course, as that would be extremely rude.
He pulled the blanket off and she peered slightly over the Galran’s shoulder to see his amputated leg and…a high tech prosthetic! It looked Galran from what she could tell. ‘How neat!’ She thought. Once the doctor turned to her and told her what needed to happen, she nodded in compliance. “Yes, of course” she said calmly while pulling a smile to her lips.
Ulaz was being as gentle and less intimidating as he possibly could. The human male seemed to see what Ulaz was doing, and relaxed just a tad bit. This made it easier for the doctor to attach the high tech limb to a small metal clip that was already around the amputated area.
Clawed hands stuck the pieces together. There was a small click and hiss, and the leg was attached. The man did shift a bit, a little uncomfortable with the nerves attaching together.
“ Alright, ” he spoke in that calm tone of his, “ I am going to need you to hold this tablet over the metal clip and the attached limb, ” Ulaz looked at the female Galra, “ I need to make sure everything is in order, working properly. ”

13. blinded temporarily
Things had taken a turn very quickly.
Ulaz had been moving fast, running down the many halls of a Galra ship. While he did so, he was taking as many of the soldiers as he could to make it to the escape pod. However, in doing so, he failed to see the whole in the wall. In that whole, a pipe was free, shooting out hot steam.
The doctor had ran right through it, the steam hitting his eyes full force. Ulaz made a pained cry, falling to his knees, a glanced hand went to cover his eyes. The pain was great, growls of frustration leaving the Blade member as he snuggled to his feet. His ears could pick up the sound of soldiers coming after him. Though, they flexed in a different direction at the source of a voice that calmed him down, brought him to ease most nights. Razok.
Amber hues opened quickly, but everything was just a blur. Objects were just blocks of color, and nothing looked the same. He couldn’t see. There was a foggy, and a blackish hue around the edges. This was definitely not good.
“ Razok, I can not see, ” was the first thing he said as he felt his arms around him, “ I can not see. ”

Send “Pain is weakness leaving the body” and I will randomly generate how your muse will find mine...
4. with a concussion
His head was throbbing with a dull ache.
The explosion pushed him back a couple of feet, and his head made contact with the ground first. The thud was probably heard easily a couple of feet away from where he landed.
For a split second, Ulaz was dazed from the impact. He sat up slowly, and rested his back against a nearby wall. A grunt left him as a clawed hand reached up to cradle the area of impact. His mask then disappeared, his gaze locked on nothing.
His ears twitched at the sound of foot steps, and then a voice that called out to him. It was right there at his side. Amber hues shifted to look at the source of the voice. Shiro.
“ I believe...my head... ”
