yall…jen probaby still thinks the road is real, shes unaware of Agatha's death, of Wiccans real power and that the deaths of Lilia and Alice were actually caused by a kid she demmed pure, not by chance.

Wedding mood board - I'm so excited about your match (fic)
JaneAreader_5 on AO3 suggested I share pictures of the outfits I am describing in my fic I'm so excited about your match. I thought that was a great idea and decided to make a mood board for the different settings. This is the one I made for how I envisioned the wedding between Kate and Anthony. Kate's hair would be down and her dress (top) would be sleeveless. Anthony's tie would be in the same shade of burgundy as Kate's dress. The venue would feature lots of flowers and candles.
I enjoyed making this, I hope it helps you envision and enjoy the fic much more!

Nicky's Rio son too.
I feel there were so many lines that imply this and the finale is starting to make more sense - especially because the dandelion in the trial!
Jen explains that Green Craft™ is about the cycle of all living things - growth and decay in constant flow. So it's not just about dying but being born too.
So it would track that Rio's love for Agatha was so strong that it actually created life - Nicky. However, there would be consequences to this because proper balance had to be maintained somehow. Rio probably even warned Agatha about it, but Agatha always believes she is above the rules so in her head she probably thought she had every right to Nicky (maybe even her "prize" that she alludes to in their final confrontation). This would really add to Rio's hurt - Nicky was her son too. She thought she was giving Agatha a gift of life, but instead Agatha sees her as this cruel "evil" that "gave her nothing". To her Rio is the one who just "took."
It feels like it is also implied by Rio at the start of the episode when she says "This walk with another woman's son on a road that doesn't...". She could be referring to Nicky being her son.
But I think Agatha finally accepts her truth during the final trial when she sees the dandelion seed in her cameo. She even says "Out of Death - life" as she grows it because she finally understands the literal implications of that phrase.
That Dandelion is representation of Nicky. And sure enough, as soon as the flower grows and blossoms, it quickly enters the final stage - when it turns into the seeds that can be scattered by the wind again and continue the cycle of life. Because guess what, "dandelions produce seeds asexually by apomixis, where the seeds are produced without pollination, resulting in offspring that are genetically identical to the parent plant".
When Nicky is born, we could probably assume it was indeed asexual reproduction - Agatha says she didn't use a spell or incantation, but instead he was made from scratch (obviously a clever nod to his name). On one hand it could be read like Agatha is astonished how something this magical could happen without actually using any witchcraft. However, this also feels like a suggestion that maybe she is just amazed at how he could possibly exist. Kathryn Hahn in her recent interview alluded to how the witches didn't need men, babies were just born. So it was Rio's "dandelion seed" that made it happen.
It is the second characteristic of dandelion species is what seals the deal for me - "the offspring being genetically identical to the parent plant". Nicky as the offspring of Death needs bodies to survive in this realm. During his birth Rio says she can offer only time, because she can maintain the balance, as long as Nicky gets his bodies.
That's why she hates Rio and calls her evil - not because of Rio herself, but because of what her "genetics" did to Nicky. Agatha would rather have people believe that she is this evil witch killer that traded her child for the Darkhold, than anyone to know the awful truth that it was Nicky who was the cause of the killings.
In the flashbacks, there are those remarks about how they haven't "eaten for days" and that whenever Nicky was poorly he said he was hungry. Agatha said she couldn't create the food for him (and protect him from what's coming). She could've cooked that goat they had with them if they were really that hungry (btw, I still believe that goat is Senor Scratchy), but that wasn't the "food" that Nicky meant.
And just like Billy, Rio couldn't just take Nicky. He had to "turn himself in". It was his choice not to kill any more witches. On the day Nicky dies, he says "My mother needs me home". I think he is talking about Rio here, since he usually calls Agatha "Mama". This is the moment the decides for himself and goes home to Death.
I feel like this opens the possibility that we will indeed see Nicholas Scratch in the future (and have a role similar to the one in the comics). That maybe even he might not have "died" because he is an offspring of death, so he just exists in some Underworld realm, where he no longer needs bodies to survive. Maybe Agatha might have hoped that by killing more and more witches, she will bring Nicky back to life/this realm?
And the Ballad really was a protection spell she made for him too?
This would also be a more plausible explanation why Agatha went to kiss Rio when Billy asked "Is this how Nicky died?". I feel this was more of an apology to Rio for hating her for Nicky's treatment, because she finally understood why she had to do it?

“How many times did you have to film the kiss between Agatha and Death?” “Well, you know, as these things go, we, we have a production schedule that we have to adhere to. A few times I [...] definitely [...] turn[ed] down the volume on my [...] headphones. [T]hey did the take several times.” — Mary Livanos, Executive Producer

this is a poll for a movie that doesn't exist.
It is vintage times. The powers that be have decided to again remake the classic vampire novel Dracula for the screen. in an amazing show of inter-studio solidarity, Hollywood’s most elite hotties are up for the starring roles. the producers know whoever they cast will greatly impact the genre, quality, and tone of the finished film, so they are turning to their wisest voices for guidance.
you are the new casting director for this star-studded epic. choose your players wisely.

Van Helsing is described at length in the novel. He is Dr. Seward's old mentor, possessing "an iron nerve, a temper of the ice-brook, an indomitable resolution, self-command, [....] and the kindliest and truest heart that beats." According to Mina, he is "a man of medium height, strongly built, with his shoulders set back over a broad, deep chest and a neck well balanced on the trunk as the head is on the neck. The poise of the head strikes me at once as indicative of thought and power. The head is noble, well-sized, broad, and large behind the ears. The face, clean-shaven, shows a hard, square chin, a large resolute, mobile mouth, a good-sized nose, rather straight, but with quick, sensitive nostrils, that seem to broaden as the big bushy brows come down and the mouth tightens. The forehead is broad and fine, rising at first almost straight and then sloping back above two bumps or ridges wide apart, such a forehead that the reddish hair cannot possibly tumble over it, but falls naturally back and to the sides. Big, dark blue eyes are set widely apart and are quick and tender or stern with the man's moods." Van Helsing tends to talk through funny stories and bizarre metaphors, is one of the first to consider the supernatural in Lucy's illness, and comes from Amsterdam.

Rio: So when were you going to tell me?
Agatha confused: Erm tell you what?
Rio: That you slept with another witch and produced children
Agatha: Woah! What do you mean?? I haven’t had sex with anyone in years, actually its been way too long…that’s kinda sad
Rio: Well i watched that weird little show and Wanda was a little too close to you, touching you and talking about your libido, only I can talk about your libido and touch you
Agatha: You’re getting jealous over a few touches and words? She drained me of my powers and locked me in a spell for 3 years, I walked around with a hose nozzle as a gun for years!
Rio shrugs: So? I’ve threatened you enough and cut you up with my dagger, its called flirting and that’s what that witch was doing
Agatha: You’re ridiculous
Rio: Wait, you’ve not had sex in how long?
Agatha……its been a while yes
Rio: Since the last time we met?
Agatha:…Maybe..
Rio: Wow-
Agatha: I’ve been busy!
Rio being smug: Maybe it’s because no one else can satisfy you like I can
Agatha: Maybe I’ll go and find another witch-
Rio: Like hell!

i feel like many people have forgotten that 9/10, the writers and producers aren't the enemy—the STUDIOS are.
the creators are fighting tooth and nail for queer cinema and risk their shows getting cancelled, shortened, erased from existence, and so on. that is STILL the case, especially with big ones like disney. we don't know what went on behind the scenes and how much more we could have gotten because i can guarantee you the cast & crew were right there with us.
remember the korra and asami ending? steven universe being fucked over because rebecca sugar insisted on the ruby & sapphire wedding? clexa, supergirl, the owl house, and everything in-between?
boundaries are being pushed and that's good, a lot has changed since 2014 but many things have also stayed the same.
my point is that any hatred or disappointment about the finale should not be directed at jac or anyone else but at DISNEY. at the execs sitting in their offices that hate having any kind of queer representation anywhere and only bend exactly as much as they have to.
agatha all along is unapologetically queer, it has only queer main characters, it features two explicit queer relationships, showed us two proper queer kisses on screen, included queer culture and allegories, and tried to do the characters & story justice.
the show is good. it's what we want! so, please, instead of hating on the creators make sure disney knows that you LOVE the show, that you want MORE of it and more like it. negativity will not get us anywhere and is counterproductive.

You know, while this is and should be at the very bottom of concerns arising from the results of the US elections, there's one thing that I've been thinking about for weeks and we all should be aware of, imho.
All the queer representation we've had in recent years in movies and TV shows, all the big victories and groundbreaking depictions of queer love - that is likely going to be over.
Project 2025 lays out a very strict agenda to focus on "traditional Christian values"; things like pornography are explicitly named as something to be outlawed, but if you read between the lines it goes far beyond that. They could deem everything that doesn't correspond with traditional "family values" and traditional gender roles as worthy of censorship and worse. Russia has done it; you technically can be gay but you can't talk about it, show it, promote it. Many other nations have the same approach.
This may be the worst case scenario, because the American entertainment industry is global and influential and might not easily give in to extreme censorship, but it's far from unlikely to happen.
So what exactly could that mean? It could mean that any depictions of queer characters and queer relationships would have to be either be reduced to hinted at background characters, or going back to subtextual queer coding like under the Hays code. Or it could even mean that no such portrayal, even hinted at, is allowed in future.
In any case, getting something like Agatha All Along again, or Bucktommy, or movies like Love Simon etc. would no longer be allowed to be produced and broadcast/streamed in the US. And since the US and the US market dominate the Western-based entertainment industry, studios would likely refrain from producing such shows and movies in Canada or Europe because the huge American market would no longer buy these works.
And while, yes, this is not nearly as bad as women being sentenced to life for murdering their child just because they had a miscarriage, or gay marriages being dissolved across the country, or Palestine having no chance of surviving at all any longer, it still is something that concerns and impacts me greatly.
Entertainment is something that keeps many of us afloat in difficult times. And since many of us are queer, queer representation is very important to us. If we can no longer have it, it'll be a drastic impairment of our quality of life - worldwide, even if we're not Americans and live in (mostly) stable democracies in the West.
Maybe I'm being fatalist, but I think it's time we count our blessings. It's time we're happy for what we got and what we're still going to get in the next few months - what has already been filmed and produced and can still be published before such restrictive censorship laws are implemented. It's not a time for ship wars and shitting on existing queer representation, or fighting amongst ourselves.
We may never get again what we got this year, unless we look to British shows or other non-American productions and broadcasts. This is an option, of course, but it'll still be a tremendous loss for all of us who enjoy TV and cinema.

In an undated letter written in the late 1950s, reproduced in THE LETTERS OF JRR TOLKIEN, Tolkien alludes to the legal difficulties Sam faced after returning from the Grey Havens at the end of LORD OF THE RINGS:
When Master Samwise reported the ‘departure over Sea’ of Bilbo (and Frodo) in 1421, it was still held impossible to presume death; and when Master Samwise became Mayor in 1427, a rule was made that: ‘if any inhabitant of the Shire shall pass over Sea in the presence of a reliable witness, with the expressed intention not to return, or in circumstances plainly implying such an intention, he or she shall be deemed to have relinquished all titles rights or properties previously held or occupied, and the heir or heirs thereof shall forthwith enter into possession of these titles, rights, or properties, as is directed by established custom, or by the will and disposition of the departed, as the case may require.’
You can see how the residents of Hobbiton might have seen Sam's return as the premise of a kind of Agatha Christie mystery plot: favorite servant of eccentric middle-aged local resident departs on an unexpected journey with his master; returns home alone two weeks later; and then conveniently produces a copy of said eccentric local resident's new will, naming the servant the heir to all his property — and the only account the servant can offer of his master's whereabouts is a preposterous story about Elves. Suspicious! Very suspicious indeed!

More Agatha All Along Incorrect Quotes!
(except these ones mostly have no actual source and just came from my brain :) )
Tumblr media
⚠️Warning for some mild sexual content and mentions of alcohol! ⚠️
Teen: So did dying and coming back ultimately make you less afraid of death?
Lilia, taking a long sip of her wine: No, but learning she sometimes calls Agatha ‘Mommy’ in bed did.
*the coven, doing some spring cleaning*
Jen, who is perfectly capable of lifting it herself: Alice, can you come move this for me?
Alice, wiping some sweat off her forehead: Sure, Jen.
Jen, watching her from across the room: Mmm. Delightful.
Agatha, whispering in her ear: Pervert.
Jen, casually watching television: I don’t understand why TV producers have to put those warnings at the beginning of the episode, telling people not to recreate what they see. I mean, this guy’s trying to parachute off his own roof so he can steal fruit from his neighbor’s yard. People aren’t really THAT stupid in real life, are they?
Alice (a former first responder), lounging in her lap with her eyes closed: Yes, they are.
Lilia, watching out the window as Teen and Agatha climb up to the roof: Yes, they are.
Agatha: Are you two seriously crying over a cartoon meant for preschoolers?
Alice, wiping her eyes: No.
Teen, rewinding their episode of Bluey: Yes.
Jen, stalking into the room: AGATHA!
Agatha, rolling her eyes: What the hell are you upset about NOW?
Jen: YOUR WIFE JUST BIT ME!
Agatha: Uh-huh. Sure.
Jen, brandishing her arm: LOOK.
Agatha, spitting out her drink: Wait, what the hell- Rio, you ACTUALLY bit her?!
Rio: Her perfume smelled tasty :3
Agatha: Kid, we need to talk.
Teen, sighing: Are you about to give me a lecture on consent and safe sex?
Agatha: Huh? How did you know?
Teen: I’m not stupid. Did you really think I didn’t notice that condoms mysteriously started appearing in the bathroom cabinets when I started bringing Eddie over?
Agatha: What makes you think the two things are related?! Those could have belonged to anyone in this household!
Teen: YOU’RE ALL LESBIANS, AGATHA! WHOSE WOULD THEY BE?!
Agatha, who’s incredibly drunk: Y’know what I love about women, Alice? Kissing’em. Loooooove it. My mom tried to beat it outta me, but she couldn’t. Still a girl kisser over here.
Alice, who’s also seriously drunk: Amen.
Agatha, wildly gesticulating: Smelling her perfume, grabbing her ass, feeling her grab MY ass…TITS…
Alice, nodding sagely: Good. All good.
Agatha: Winding your fingers through her hair, pulling her closer…
Alice: Losing me there.
Agatha: What, Jen isn’t into hair pulling?
Alice:
Agatha:
Alice:
Agatha: …I now recognize my mistake.
