Okay - Finding Family overview for those of you who haven't read it and don't want to read over 300k of longfic for all the context for the other oneshots and/or the sequel (if I get back to that, which feels a bit more likely given clarification from the newest oneshot) is below the cut. (Because maybe you want to read it and don't want spoilers, idk.)
Finding Family had five parts. and a Holiday Special that went between the fourth and fifth parts.
Primary Wanda/Earth is Earth-616. The Earth visited in DSMOM with the other Wanda is Earth-838.
General TL;DR is thus:
Part One:
America wants to find her moms. She does not have enough control of her power to find her moms. She decides to get better by practicing with the golden portal power she was learning at Kamar Taj. She goes globe hopping. She finds Wanda.
Wanda is depressed. Wanda is very depressed. Wanda is the MOST depressed, and considering all of DSMOM and her blatant suicide attempt at the end, this should come as a surprise to NO ONE.
Wanda is still definitely dreaming of other selves across the multiverse as DSMOM says all dreams are. (FF says otherwise, but we'll get to that later.)
America also universe hops sometimes and runs into another Wanda with Billy and Tommy (and Agatha) who does not suck and tells her to go be friends with 616!Wanda. (And also tells her not to tell Agatha that she's a universe hopper because that would be bad, but doesn't explain why that would be bad.)
America has a strong sense of being alone sucks so she goes to be friends with Wanda, and Wanda steals her hot chocolate.
Part Two:
America and Wanda keep meeting. Wanda is still super depressed and doesn't want to meet half the time, but America is persistent. Knowing that someone is coming to visit makes Wanda actually, you know, take a bath sometimes. And get up the gumption to clean the house, even though she doesn't let America inside. This kind of helps. Sort of.
Wanda finds out that America's teaching at Kamar Taj doesn't include historical events that she should know about. LIKE THE SNAP.
Wanda goes and has a very nice chat with Wong. (Please read this with the sarcasm it deserves.)
America moves in with Clint Barton. (Who already has Kate Bishop living with him.)
Wanda finally gives America hot chocolate! Growth!
Part Three:
Wong and Wanda both have dreams about Earth-838. 838!Wanda is facing some, ah, consequences for killing the Illuminati, which was...actually 616!Wanda dreamwalking, but 838!Wanda is still seen as a threat. She asks 616!Wanda to go save Billy and Tommy (her sons).
America has continued universe-hopping to try and find her moms. She hasn't found them but has found a nice tree world, and when Wong and Wanda ask her to open a portal back to Earth-838, she runs there instead.
America has her first nightmare! Because sometimes dreams are your mind's way of making sense of stuff that happens in real life and aren't just glimpses into the life of another version of you in the multiverse. America has nightmares of the Scarlet Witch! BECAUSE SHE HAS PTSD OBVIOUSLY. YOU DON'T JUST DSMOM AND BE COMPLETELY UNSCATHED.
America meets a baby!Wanda and Pietro (and another sister) in tree world being raised by parents Magda and Erik. Baby!Wanda also has nightmares and panic attacks and panic attacks from nightmares. She and her mom teach America some grounding methods.
America goes back to Earth-616 and agrees to open a portal to let Wanda and Wong into Earth-838 to save Billy and Tommy. The plan is to open another portal later to let them back in.
While on Earth-838, Wanda decides to save 838!Wanda, too. For reasons.
America and Kate get tired of waiting and go to help Wanda and Wong.
They all fight with the new Illuminati, who decide not to kill 616!Wanda or 838!Wanda. Mordo dies. Wong, Kate, America, 838!Wanda, Billy, Tommy, and 616!Wanda all escape to the tree world.
Wanda says she's America's mom and America gets BIG MAD.
The gang goes back to Earth-616 and Clint's house. America is still BIG MAD, so Wanda goes to talk with her. Realizing that there's some undiscussed all the trauma, Wanda provokes America further and America beats the shit out of her and then runs away to another universe.
616!Wanda and 838!Wanda decide to call themselves Scarlet and Ash, respectively, so that no one gets confused by having the same name. (616!Wanda takes her name from one of Kate's friends, who had been a fan of hers and ended up dying in a superhero event because she was trying to find info on her.)
Ash mentions (in narrative, not to anyone specific) that she had something she wanted to talk to America about. OH WELL.
Part Four:
Ash forgives Scarlet for the events of DSMOM and wants her to forgive herself.
Ash, Scarlet, Billy, and Tommy move back to Scarlet's cabin in Sokovia, which Scarlet expands to be big enough for all of them.
America does a lot of universe hopping. Every time she goes to a new universe, she runs into another Wanda. She hates it. She hates Wanda. She wants nothing to do with Wanda. So she keeps running.
America eventually ends up in a universe where she doesn't immediately run into Wanda. She stays there for a bit and finds a super cool girl about her age who is trying to save her from an Ultron bot. America says she could TOTALLY take out the Ultron bot, and the girl dares her to do it, so America does. The girl introduces herself as Wendy. Wendy is...another Wanda variant. But by this point, America is kind of attached, so she stays.
Wendy takes America to a bubbled off piece of the world that she calls Neverland. She says that her bestie Pixie maintains it and introduces America to Pixie (Agatha Stephen Harkness) and Pan (Pietro - Peter) and her Lost Ones.
America stays in Neverland for a while. Wendy is a cool storyteller. Pixie and America both have trouble with nightmares, and Wendy helps America feel better after hers when she isn't helping Pixie (who usually just wakes up and goes for a very long walk). Pixie reveals that the Neverland bubble keeps them all from aging but that if they leave the bubble, they'll age super quick. She reveals that she's doing this partially through the use of a Time Stone.
America and Wendy fall in love. America finds this awkward because Wendy is a Wanda variant. But Wendy isn't Wanda. It's complicated.
Ultron attacks. America finds Wendy. Pan dies saving Wendy. Pixie tells America that Neverland is going to go down and she needs to get Wendy out. America drags Wendy through a portal into Earth-616 and Pixie sends the Time Stone with them. Pixie blows up Ultron after they're gone.
America and Wendy end up at Scarlet's house. Scarlet can very much tell that Wendy is a variant of her (and also finds the Time Stone before America or Wendy realize that it came through with them). She catches America and Wendy kisses and gets BIG MAD and takes America's mouth, sends her to Clint's, and then keeps Wendy with her.
Scarlet and Wendy have a nice talk and Wendy calms down and decides to stay with her. Wong gets BIG MAD about Scarlet taking America's mouth, but she tells him what happened and he gets it. America gets her mouth back a few hours later. Scarlet convinces Wong to let her use the library at Kamar Taj so that she can teach Wendy magic better - and so that she can learn magic better herself.
As Scarlet connects with the Time Stone, she stops dreaming about herself in other universes.
Scarlet ends up finding stuff on the Time Stone and uses it to go back in time. She meets the Ancient One, who tells her a lot of very complicated multiverse/time stuff that basically boil down to "you don't know which version of you you'll end up being; do you want to be the you that gets stuck in a time loop, or do you want to be the you who accepts the good that you have?"
Scarlet breaks the fourth wall.
Scarlet accepts the family she has.
Previously, America's moms saved a Wanda on an entirely different multiverse. They sent that memory as a dream through every Wanda across the multiverse that they could (similar to how Scarlet destroyed the Darkhold across a lot of universes - not all as the MCU suggests, but that's...another story). Scarlet and Ash have both had that dream, and using the Time Stone and America's powers, they help America open a portal to get to her moms.
Part Five:
America learns that her moms did some super shady things to get her to find them, particularly by how they used the Wanda of their universe that they adopted.
America burns out her powers and begins to dream of herself in other universes. She learns that there are other hers; her moms theorize that the reason she normally can't dream them has more to do with keeping her from making decisions to change her future based on what she dreams - something something crossing the streams. Etc.
Scarlet is confronted by White Vision (who may or may not have briefly shown up back in Part Two. Debatable). White Vision has been looking for the Scarlet Witch to bring her to justice for the events of DSMOM. However, he cannot tell whether Scarlet, Ash, or Wendy is the Scarlet Witch he is looking for. Scarlet convinces him to come back later, saying that she can maybe convince the Scarlet Witch to give herself up. She also reaches into his mind and finds that it's all sorts of staticky and frazzled - Vision might have reconnected White Vision's memories, but there are some issues.
If Scarlet dies, then any non-permanent magic that she has going in perpetuity will die with her. AKA if Scarlet dies, Agatha gets released from Agnes. Scarlet decides to trap Agatha at her house while she figures out what to do with her and basically convinces Ash to help her wipe Agatha's memories so that she can be truly Agnes - and to have Ash set the spell so that it doesn't die if Scarlet does. Ash is not happy about the arrangement but defers to Scarlet. (She tells Scarlet that she never really met the Agatha of 838 - the Ancient One sent her and Stephen to find her at one point, but when they got there, she was dead. Very dead.)
Scarlet goes to get Agnes. Agnes's life has sucked. Agatha has Stockholm Syndrome and has grown attached to Agnes, who deserves better. So much better. Scarlet brings Agnes back to her house to the special room she has set for Agatha, and when Agatha goes inside, the Agnes spell drops. Agatha accuses Scarlet of killing Agnes.
Wendy is not told about Agatha. Wendy has always been good about figuring out when people are having nightmares. Wendy realizes someone in the house is having nightmares and walks through the wall to where Agatha's suite is and meets Agatha. She names her Hook.
Scarlet has been teaching Wendy magic but isn't great about it. Agatha is significantly better at teaching Wendy magic, even though Agatha doesn't have access to magic herself. Wendy and Agatha become friends! Scarlet finds out that Agatha has some horrible bad scars all over her back. It's awkward. Ash doesn't hate Agatha because she hasn't been given any reason to hate her.
Previously, Kate told Wendy that if Wendy could get to her, they could go hang out in New York for a bit. (This may have happened in the Holiday Special? Maybe?) Wendy finds the Time Stone where Scarlet has hidden it and decides to take it with her. She convinces Agatha to go to New York with them because she's besties with Agatha now. Agatha gets her magic back but does no bad things!
Agatha gives Kate and Wendy a place to stay in New York, but literally the next day, they get attacked by an Agatha from another universe - an Agatha who has Wanda's and America's powers and is looking for the Time Stone. She has seen the Time Stone through 616!Agatha, who noticed that Wendy had it. The evil Agatha wants the Time Stone so she can get the Darkhold back. America shows up, because her powers are back, and beats the evil Agatha into another universe. They both disappear. 616!Agatha, Wendy, and Kate go back to Scarlet's place.
Scarlet is BIG MAD with Agatha because magic, but Agatha points out she doesn't have her magic in Scarlet's house and she willing went back. Scarlet takes Agatha upstairs to have a private conversation with her. Agatha provokes her into beating the shit out of her, but because both of them are aware that Wendy will be BIG MAD if Scarlet actually hurts Agatha, Scarlet heals her afterwards.
Scarlet heals the scars all over Agatha's back. Agatha gives her a massage. They do some making out.
Evil!Agatha shows up with America's body but can't get through because Scarlet set up a protective shield. Ash takes Billy and Tommy to Clint's because maybe they shouldn't be here for the big fight. Agatha comes up with a plan and convinces Wendy to help so that they can get America back. Wendy agrees, America gets pulled through the bubble, and Agatha uses the Time Stone to go back in time.
Agatha does a handful of things in the past, including finding Agnes and placing a sort of protective bubble around her so that she doesn't die when Scarlet takes her to her house. Then she hides with the Time Stone in the basement beneath what will eventually be Scarlet's cabin in Sokovia, a basement that won't be revealed until evil!Agatha gets beaten.
Wendy thinks America is dead and goes full-blown Scarlet Witch. She, Kate, and Scarlet - together with a third Agatha who shows up with a baby!America - kill evil!Agatha. America gets better pretty much immediately.
Ash and Scarlet talk with the new Agatha, who is a vigilante going across the multiverse to kill all of the evil Agatha variants. She killed the Agatha of Earth-838 and has come to kill the Agatha of Earth-616.
Wendy and America find the basement. Wendy turns Agatha back into Agnes and using the same technique Scarlet and Ash used to get America to her moms, she forces America to open a portal back to Neverland and disappears.
Scarlet changes Agatha back and tells the vigilante!Agatha that if 616!Agatha helps them with Wendy, she'll redeem herself and not have to die.
Scarlet, Agatha, and America go to Neverland. They find that Wendy has gone back in time to when Neverland was first created and basically made a worldwide Neverland hex and maintained it for two years. America finds Wendy, who is exhausted but can't let herself stop. America stabs Wendy, and then the gang goes back to Earth-616.
Scarlet heals Wendy, but Wendy won't wake up. Scarlet and Ash mindwipe vigilante!Agatha and send her back to her own universe. America then sends baby!America to go live with her moms.
Wendy stays in a coma for a very long time. (Except she's not. She's just pretending.)
Scarlet tries to sleep with Agatha before White Vision gets there, and Agatha calls her out as just using her to want to die more, to increase her own self-loathing.
White Vision shows up. Agatha fixes his brain. He decides not to kill Scarlet because she's gotten better and is getting better.
Wendy creates a body for Agnes and moves her from Agatha's head into the new body.
America forgives Wendy, and they're still together.
Love triangle shenanigans with Scarlet, Agatha, and Agnes. Scarlet and Agatha get together. Agnes is very, very hurt and still deserves better. Ash comforts her.
America asks Agatha to help her with her power the way she helped Wendy with her magic. Agatha agrees.
America opens a portal to the universe that evil!Agatha came from. Their Wanda is dead, but Billy and Tommy are still alive. Billy and Tommy from that universe move to Earth-616 - Scarlet gets her boys again! ...sort of - and Ash, Agnes, and Ash's Billy and Tommy move to their universe.
Agatha leaves because wanderlust but plans to come back every now and again. Stephen visits to ask Scarlet to join his new not Avengers team, and she says no because Billy and Tommy. Wendy and America join instead.
Wendy, America, Wanda, and Agatha (along with Billy and Tommy) are now one big complicated family. But they're family.

Into The Sanctum
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary: Doctor Strange brings Y/n into the sanctum as he explains to her the situation at hand. However, the introductions to the team don’t go very smoothly.
Word Count: 3,021
A/N: Here we are with chapter 2! This one is a lot shorter than the first, and honestly the rest of the chapters will likely be around this length lol Hope you enjoy!
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5
“Y/n Fenton. 26 years old, acquired her abilities in 2019 after a lab accident.” Wong started explaining as he brought up multiple images and video clips of you throughout the years, using his magic. “Known abilities; Able to switch between human and ghost form at will, Invisibility, Intangibility, Flight, Able to overshadow other humans, Super Strength and Speed, Can summon ghost energy in a ‘ghost ray’, and Cryokinesis.” The sorcerer finished, leaving everyone in a moment of silence, not sure how to proceed after all that information.
“Whoa, that’s awesome.” Peter said in awe, but no-one else shared his excitement.
“We’re going to recruit a ghost...to fight other ghosts?” Loki was the first to ask.
“Fight fire with fire and all that.” Strange responded.
“How do we know we can trust her? Isn’t she one of them?”
“Yes, but she’s also human. Besides, just because she’s a ghost, doesn’t mean she’s automatically bad.” Wanda now piped up. “And you’re one to talk, Loki. Aren’t you technically a Frost Giant?”
“Yes I am, and look how well I turned out. Not exactly a good sales pitch.”
“Alright, that’s enough.” Strange interrupted. “This isn’t up for debate. The ghost realm is bleeding into our world more and more every minute, and Fenton is our best shot.” Strange slipped on his sling ring and began opening a portal. “I’m going to talk to her.” Before anyone could respond, Strange stepped through, portal closing behind him.
Everyone stood in silence for a moment, before Peter spoke up. “C’mon, I can’t be the only one who thinks this is cool.”
“The very fabric of our reality being at risk and our world being overtaken by ghosts is ‘cool’ to you, Peter?” Wong asked, causing Peter to scratch the back of his neck shyly.
“Well, when you put it like that...”
Amity Park
You and Tucker were walking down the street, heading to your favorite donut shop. You stared at your phone as you walked, not really worried about bumping into anyone or anything as you used your powers to subtlety phase through them.
“Hear anything?” Tucker asked and you shook your head.
“No, haven’t heard in hours now. She’s really mad.”
“Well, you did manage to almost get yourself killed the other day.”
“I’ve been doing this for years now, I know what I’m doing. Besides, I’m already literally half dead.”
“Not the point.” Tucker sighs. “C’mon, you’ve been dating her for over a year, and have been best friends for even longer. You should know her by now. She’s scared.”
“I’m not faulting her for being scared, but I can’t keep going through fight after fight with her for just doing my job.”
“Is it really your job though?” Tucker shrugged, causing you to stop in your tracks. Him following a second later. “I’m just saying, there are a bunch of heroes back now after the blip. It wouldn’t kill you to take a few days off.”
“They can’t do what I do. And they don’t know what we know.”
“You don’t gotta be all cryptic” Tucker laughed and you couldn’t help but chuckle along.
“Yeah, maybe not.” You shrugged. “I don’t know though, we’re the only ones who really know how to deal with these ghosts. I love helping people, but I’m tired of this too sometimes. I’d love to be able to leave Amity Park, really start my life, but...I can’t. All the ghosts come from here, and I gotta do my best to keep it that way.”
Tucker opened his mouth to form a response, but before he could, a bright orange light appeared. The light began to form into a portal and a man with white and black hair, dressed head to toe in blue robes and a read cape, appeared.
“Y/n Fenton?” He asked, which took you and Tucker aback. You looked to your best friend before looking back at the man.
“Uh, who’s asking?”
“Oh, sorry, I’m Doctor Stephen Strange, and-”
“Wait, that’s you?” You interrupted, eyes wide.
“Yes? I assume you’ve heard of me then?”
Your eyes hardened at this. You knew the name Dr. Strange a little too well. He, along with Iron Man, had been part of the reason behind the death of your parents, having been part of that fateful fight in New York. You knew logically that this man didn’t go out of his way to kill your parents, and that he likely didn’t start that fight, but still. You didn’t appreciate the reminder.
“Yeah. I have.”
Strange noticed the shift in your tone and tilted his head in confusion. You two stood in a stand off for a few moments before Tucker coughed beside you.
“Sorry, but uh, you’re one of the Avengers right?” He asked as he started to fanboy.
“I guess you can say I was, though they aren’t really around anymore.”
“Still, that’s so cool! Hey, did you know Iron Man before he-”
“What do you want?” You interrupted as you crossed your arms, eyes still glaring at the wizard.
Strange regained his composure as he continued. “I need you to come with me. It’s quite literally a matter of life or death.”
Your hard glare faded and in turn you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. “What do you mean?”
“Ghosts are pouring into our world, their reach is now far outside of Amity Park.” Your eyes widened when the wizard said this. You figured you shouldn’t be surprised that Strange knew of this, but you really weren’t sure how to react. “And I know you’re a little more than familiar about ghosts...considering your biology.” Now you really didn’t know how to react. You dropped your arms as you tilted your head towards Tucker.
“So much for that day off.”
Sanctum Santorum
Wanda stepped out of the room as the back and forth between the boys started. She needed a moment to herself to think, she needed air. She made her way to the rooftop and leaned on the edge, looking over the city.
She knew that her life would always entail having to deal with potential world ending threats. It was that way when she was an Avenger, and even more so now after becoming the Scarlet Witch. It got tiring, but she wouldn’t give up the responsibility. Not after Westview. Besides, it beat the alternative that Agatha had predicted for her, destroying the world.
But damn, a break would be nice.
Ghosts? Seriously? She guessed that she really shouldn’t be surprised that they exist, over the last year she’s seen some crazy stuff, but ghosts seemed like a scary concept. And not in a ‘Halloween spooky’ kind of way, it was more of a fear of the unknown. If all ghosts had the same capabilities as the Fenton girl had, she had no idea how she would be able to combat that.
Speaking of the Fenton girl, she couldn’t help but be intrigued. From what she’s seen and heard, the girl knew what she was doing, so she failed to see why she and the rest of the team had to get involved. Still, she figured that they should do whatever they could to help stop this threat.
She also agreed with Peter in that she was ‘awesome’, but she wasn’t about to voice that.
She took a deep breath as she bowed her head, calming her nerves. Maybe this wouldn’t be too bad. Maybe it could be easily fixed and they could all get back to their lives quickly. She knew that was unrealistic, but she had to have a sliver of hope every now and again or she’d go insane.
“Wanda!” She heard Peter’s voice in her head, way too loudly. She cringed as she held her head.
“Peter, we’ve talked about this. You don’t need to be so loud.”
“Sorry, Wanda. Doctor Strange told me to tell you to come back down. Y/n is here.”
“Okay, thank you Peter.” She felt the boy’s presence leave her mind as she picked her head up. She shook her head, ridding herself of the pain while preparing herself as she headed downstairs.
A Few Moments Before
The telltale orange sparks started forming in the main hall of the Sanctum. Soon after, a portal opened and Strange had stepped out, but this time was followed by two people. A woman who was looking around in a mix of confusion and awe, and a man who seemed to be bursting with excitement.
“Whoa! What was that!? That was so cool!” The man turned to the woman in excitement. “Was that magic!?”
“Yeah Tuck, but we gotta be cool here, okay?” The woman told ‘Tuck’ in a hushed whisper.
“Right, sorry.”
“Don’t worry, I had the same reaction.” Peter piped up with a smile. He walked over to the two new figures, hand stretched out. “I’m Peter Parker.”
“Tucker Foley.” Tucker’s smile reappeared as he shook the boy’s hand excitedly.
Peter turned to the woman standing next to him. “And you’re Y/n Fenton, right?” You chuckled as you grabbed Peter’s hand, shaking it as well.
“I guess I’m famous around here.”
“We just found out about your existence an hour ago, but I suppose you can call it fame.” Loki piped up, and you turned to him. Eyes widening a second later.
“Holy shit! Aren’t you the guy who led the alien invasion in New York?”
“That was over ten years ago, darling, let’s leave the past in the past.” Loki shrugged. “Besides, I’m doing the whole ‘hero’ thing now.”
“And how’s that working out for you?”
“It varies.”
“Okay that’s enough for the introductions, now-” Strange started before Peter cut him off.
“Wait, what about Wanda?”
“Get her down here while I catch our new guests up.” Peter nodded as he began to call to Wanda with his mind. “Now, Y/n, you’ve done a lot of good over the last few years. Keeping the ghostly threat contained to Amity Park while the rest of the world remains none the wiser is quite impressive.”
“Aw, thanks.” You smirked with a shrug.
“However, those efforts might have only delayed this.” Before you could ask what the wizard was talking about, he brought up an illusion showing ghosts starting to spill through tears that were seemingly in mid air. “The Ghost Realm is starting to tear into our own.”
“Wait, the what?” You asked, causing Strange to falter slightly.
“The Ghost Realm?” He responded with a raise of his brow.
“Yeah, what’s that?”
“Um, where all of the ghosts are coming from? The source of your powers? You’ve been dealing with it for years-”
“Oh!” You shouted, finally realizing. “Yeah, we’ve been calling that the Ghost Zone.” You started to chuckle, Tucker joining, but everyone else remained silent for a moment.
“Right...” Strange proceeded. “Well the ‘Ghost Zone’ is starting to become a problem everywhere. We need your help.”
You coughed as you regained your composure, turning serious. “How is this even possible?”
“We were hoping you knew.”
“Look, I might know a lot about the Ghost Zone, but I don’t know everything. I’ve kinda just been dealing with it as it came for the last five years.”
“Well, it looks like you’re about to get a lot more proficient.” Loki said. Before Y/n could respond though, a new presence entered the room.
Wanda walked into the main hall where she found everyone in a heated discussion. She walked in further when she finally spotted the two new faces. A nerdy looking man, and the woman who she recognized as Y/n Fenton. She took a moment to observe her. She was in casual clothing, a white t-shirt covered with a red sweat jacket with jeans and red sneakers. A brown messenger bag slung across her body, indicating that she was on her way somewhere before she was brought here.
Wanda had only really seen Y/n in her Phantom form, since that was the only relevant part of her that they needed to know at the time, but she couldn’t help but think that the human side was captivating as well.
Wait a minute, what?
No, she wasn’t supposed to be looking at other people like this. Not after Vision. She never even thought someone else could turn her head again for one, but she also felt like she was betraying Vision and all they had by even simply staring at someone else for too long.
She coughed, as she tried to get rid of those thoughts, but in doing so she garnered the attention of everyone else in the room.
“Oh, good. Y/n, this is the Scarlet Witch. Otherwise known as Wanda Maximoff.” Strange had introduced her, and she gave a small smile along with a shy wave in response.
You, however, did not have the same welcoming response. You straightened up as your face tightened, eyes widening slightly. You recognized that name. “Wanda Maximoff...as in ‘Westview’ Wanda Maximoff?” You asked the room, however your eyes never left Wanda, who’s face now dropped.
The room stood in silence for a moment before Peter spoke up. “Yeah, um, we don’t really bring that up.”
“Yeah? Well, I am.” Before anyone could register what was happening, You changed into Phantom and blasted a powerful ghost ray towards Wanda.
The blast hit her square on, knocking her to the ground. The witch shook the attack off quickly as she stood up. The awe that she had previously while staring at you was now replaced with anger, as she shifted from her current outfit into the Scarlet Witch. Hands and eyes glowing red, as your own hands and eyes glowed green. The two women stared each other down as the men stared in varying states of shock.
Tucker was the only one who seemed to know what was going on as he brought his hand up and grabbed the bridge of his nose. “Oh man.”
“What the hell was that for!?” Wanda asked, almost shouting in anger. Your face didn’t waver however. You gritted the next words out, as you were also seething in anger.
“My sister was there.”
Everyone stood in silence for a few moments after the revelation, not sure how to continue. Wanda remained standing, but the red faded from her eyes and hands. Her gaze fell downwards for a moment as she straightened up. After no-one spoke for several moments, you continued. “I hope your little sitcom fantasy was worth it, cause Jazz is still going to therapy because of you.” You scoffed. “You didn’t even have the decency to give her a speaking part. Just one of your little extras.”
Wanda sighed as tears started to spring to her eyes at the reminder. She shifted back into her normal clothing. “Look, I really am sorry for the pain I caused. I truly didn’t know at the time.”
“Sure you didn’t.” You scoffed before turning to address the rest of the room. “She’s a fucking terrorist. Actually, now that I think about it, what the hell am I doing in a room with all of you!?”
You looked around briefly before pointing at Loki harshly. “You’re a fucking psychopath who almost took over the world!” Loki shot his hands up in surrender as you turned to point at Strange next.
“You were part of the fight in New York that killed my parents!” Strange’s eyes widened slightly at the revelation, but he didn’t get to say anything as you turned to Wong.
“I know you were there too!” You finished by landing on Peter.
“And you-” You cut yourself off as you realized you didn’t have anything against the kid. Still, you were stubborn and too into your rant to stop there. “I actually don’t know anything about you, but I’m sure you’re no good if you’re hanging around these freaks!”
“We’re the freaks?” Loki asked incredulously, as he couldn’t help himself. “Sweetheart, you’re basically dead.”
“Better being dead than a fucking murderer.” You seethed out. “I don’t know what’s going on, and I don’t care. My responsibility is to my home and to those I love, that’s it. I never signed up for this life, and even if I did, I definitely wouldn’t wanna work with any of you.” You began to float and move over to Tucker, who had been watching the whole exchange in silence. You grabbed his arm, taking you up with you. “Good luck, sounds like you’re gonna need it. I’m out of here.”
With that you began to fly up, Tucker in your arms. You sped up heading towards the ceiling. You were about to go intangible to phase out of the building, when suddenly, your ghost ring appeared around your waist and separated, turning you back into a human.
Your eyes widened as you and Tucker began to plummet back to the floor, but before you both hit it, red wisps surrounded you both, breaking the fall. They didn’t last long though, as a second later the disappeared, making you both hit the ground harshly. Tucker rubbed his arm as you brought your hands up to look at them, wondering what happened.
“What the hell was that!?” You asked as you looked back up to the people in the room.
“I went into your mind and triggered your transformation.” Wanda answered, and you could’ve sworn you saw a slight smirk on her face. Your face hardened once again.
“Stay the hell out of my head.”
“Alright, enough!” Strange shouted, finally putting an end to this. “Y/n, I understand your hesitation. I do. You don’t have to like us, you don’t even have to trust us, but believe me when I say we cannot do this without you. You may be angry at the world, hell all of us are, but we need you to put that aside.”
You stood up, offering a helping hand to Tucker, but your gaze remained on Strange. You sighed, knowing you couldn’t ignore the severity of the situation. No matter how much you wanted to. You hesitated for a moment before finally speaking up.
“Okay. So what do we do now?”

“(Y/n)...” Wanda whispered under her breath. She whipped her head to where Agatha was previously. She watched as your double disappeared in a ploom of red smoke. It was an illusion, her illusion. In her desperation she hadn’t noticed, but now she could see it clearly. Her head tilted dangerously, her green eyes narrowing.
“Nice to see you again Hagatha,” You greeted as you felt the dark haired woman’s breath on your neck. “I see you’re doing well.”
“Better than you at least,” Agatha quipped. Wanda’s hands raised as she stared menacingly at Agatha. Her hands were already enveloped in a scarlet hue.
“Let her go.”
“Now, now Wanda,” Agatha tutted as you felt her magic wrap itself around your neck. “You don’t want to risk hurting her do you? I mean....she is expecting after all.” You felt your heart stop as Wanda’s hands lowered ever so slightly.
“What does she mean (Y/n)?”
“Oh my,” Agatha gasped mockingly as you shake ever so slightly, “you still haven’t told her (Y/n)? This is so awkward, well I guess once the cats out of the bag you can’t very well put it back in can you”
“Wand-” You barely got through her name when you felt all the air leave your body and the tightness around your throat burned furiously. You clawed frantically at your neck hoping somehow to relieve the pressure and burning. Your eyes lose focus, and just when your vision is going dark. You crumpled to your knees and breathed in heavy gulps of hair, coughing dryly as you did. You suddenly feel familiar hands wrap themselves around your body protectively.
Your eyes met a familiar green. Wanda’s face was that mixed with worry and anger and something else you couldn’t quite place.
“Are you ok?” Wanda asked frantically, her eyes quickly scanning your body. Her eyes and hands linger on your slightly swollen abdomen. Her eyes became watery as she stared at it.
“I’m ok Wands.”
“She wasn’t lying.” Wanda whispered, almost talking to herself.
“Wanda,” you whisper to her, she didn’t respond instead her hands and eyes stared at your stomach. Your hand reached to cup her cheek and you gently forced her to meet your eyes. “We will talk about it later, I promise, but right now there is a 330 year old murderous hag that needs to be taken care of.”
Wanda nodded after a moment. She rose to her feet and helped you onto yours, never letting go of your hand and her eyes never deviating from your form.
“You need to go.” Wanda said, panic began to bubble it’s way to your throat.
“Not without you.”
“Listen to your lover, lover girl.” You hear Agatha quip as your eyes find her. Her hands were surrounded in purple light. Your eyes tear themselves away from her and to Wanda, whose jaw is set and glared at Agatha more vehetimesly than before. Her hands moved from yours and to your shoulders protectively.
“Don’t worry about me Солнечный свет” Wanda assured you. She tore her eyes away from Agatha to yours, the poisonous look before melted away at the sight of you. “I’m going to send you to Steve, he’ll protect you.”
“Wanda-” and with that you suddenly find yourself in the middle of town, Steve right beside you.
“Doll?” Steve asked his eyes searching yours, for once it seemed as though the real him was there with you. The red mist in his eyes was gone, instead it was just him. baby blue eyes and all.
You don’t know who hugged who first, but suddenly you find yourself enveloped in his arms. You felt your heart crumble ever so slightly at the action of his arms flexing around you. After a few seconds you try to break away, only to have him resist you.
“Steve, you can let go now.”
“If I let you go, how can I be sure that Wanda won’t replace you again?”
You felt lead settle at your stomach as you processed his words.
“So you know.”
“I’ve known for a while now, doll,” Steve said, releasing his hold on you slightly. Just enough to look at his face. His face was contorted into a bittersweet expression. A face you knew all too well. Flashes of that day came and went in your mind.
“How?”
“It started around the same time you started waking up as well. Although I wasn’t fully awake by the time you were, I had doubts. It wasn’t until I came home and found a new you that I remember what happened the day this,” he motioned around him, “happened.”
Just as you were to probe further, you saw Steve’s eyes move away from your form and to the sky. You followed his eyes to see Agatha flying above, as well as Vision and someone cloaked in white.
You looked back at Steve and him at you. Without words he understood.
“You sure you’re up to it ?” He asked, hands gracing your stomach. You couldn’t ask how he knew, there wasn’t time. You’ll have to talk to him later, if there is time.
“Why? feeling tired Gramps.” You teased as you moved away from his embrace. He sent you a wink before you both took off in seperate directions. While the rest were fighting in the air, you and Steve quickly cleared the streets of Westview residents. You placed them in the one area you were certain they would be safest. The theater.
You had nearly gotten everyone when you saw Wanda fly to the ground. Her eyes made eye contact with you for a mere second before she suddenly face planted on the concrete under her.
“(Y/n),” Steve called, bringing your attention back to the task at hand. You knew the priority was to get people to safety and that Wanda could take care of herself. You just were worried that Agatha might be too much for Wanda to take on alone.
Reluctantly you carried out the rest of your task, you got every civilian you could to a safe place where they most likely wouldn’t be harmed.
“I’M NOT WHAT YOU SAY I AM!” You heard Wanda yell at Agatha, you turn your head and before you know it you see Agatha flick her wrist and suddenly every civilian is back out and crowding Wanda.
You didn’t bother listening as Steve yelled at you to stay back, you knew Wanda didn’t do well in crowds. And these people looked ready to tear her apart. You didn’t care if you got hurt, you knew Wanda was already under enough emotional stress. You knew that this was Agatha’s plan, you knew Agatha knew Wanda’s powers were tied to her emotions. One meltdown resulted in the Hex after all. You were nervous about what another one might bring on.
Just as you were closing in on the mob you heard Wanda wail. Suddenly the mob was to their knees, the familiar position that you were in a mere hour or so ago. Your feet pounded against the pavement until finally your arms enveloped the weeping woman. Your hand combed through her red hair and the other rubbed familiar soothing circles on her back. You often did this to calm her after her nightmares.
“Wands,” You whisper in her ear, you silently shush her. “Wands breathe,” You encouraged, “breathe babe.”
The red magic that suffocated the townspeople evaporated soon enough. You released your hold on Wanda. Tears ran down her face as she apologized profusely. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” Wanda repeated brokenly.
“If you won’t let us go,” the blonde woman said, “let us die instead.”
“I will,” Wanda said, her eyes searching the crowd, “I will let you go. I will. I will.”
“What’s stopping you?” You turn to Agatha, “Use your power and do it now. Heroes don’t torture people.”
“(Y/n) step back please.” Wanda said, You looked in her eyes and silently asked if she was sure. When you found no hesitancy you walked back to Steve, who stood there waiting for you.
Wanda let out a strained yell as she slowly disintegrated the scarlet walls of the hex.
‘Go, now, all of you!” Wanda hurried with strain in her voice. The townspeople quickly scrambled to their knees, scattering in different directions. Steve held your hand firmly as you both watched the scene unfold. When you hear familiar laughter coming from the hag above a sinking feeling takes over. You could see in her eyes that you all were playing her game perfectly. Doing exactly as she wants you to.
“Now you’ll see.” Agatha said ominously.
You and Steve looked at each other in concern.
“What do you think she means by-” Steve started before he clenched his chest, gripping the light cotton shirt in an iron grip. He falls to his knees beside you, his hold on your hand went slack as he tried to steady himself on the ground.
“Steve?!” You exclaim as you kneel beside him. It took you a minute to notice him disintegrating before your eyes. Your heart begins to beat erratically against your chest as memories of the Snap play through your mind. Memories of your comrades turning to dust beside you.
A moment later you hear a loud crash and turn to see Vision, very much in the same condition as Steve.
You silently prayed and relieved through the horrific memories of the snap. You knew that this was different, but it looks so much like they were dusting away before your eyes.
You see Vision stand and try to reach out to Wanda. Desperately seeking her out. You see Wanda gasp with even more tears in her eyes as she realizes what’s happening.
You tore your eyes from Wanda to Agatha, who stood there smugly, watching as the scene unfolds.
That vicious, lying cu-
“Now do you see,” Agatha started, “You tied your loves to this twisted world and now one can’t exist without the other.” Vision drops to his knees, but continues crawling to her. Steve holds onto your hand, pain evident in his eyes and it breaks your heart.
“Save Westview or save your happily ever after...you’re choice.”
Steve and Vision are half gone at this point, during the snap the dusting had been sudden, blink and you would have missed it. But this, this was torture.
A moment later you notice Steve’s breathing becomes less labored as the broken parts of him start putting themselves back together. You tear your eyes away from the man to the red headed witch in front of you, she’s putting the Hex back together. Finally the red glow around her ceases and she drops to the ground. Once Vision is fully put together you see him jog towards Wanda. And your eyes return to the blonde man in front of you.
You see him back in one piece, you cradle his face in your hands.
You didn’t notice the ravenette muttering in latin until you heard Wanda shriek “NO!” before encasing all four of you in a shield. You watch as Agatha cackles and seemingly drains Wanda. You hear Wanda’s painful cries and before you could rush to her side, Steve holds you back.
“Let me go!”
“You go to her and Agatha will kill you.” Steve pointed out. You knew he was right, but that didn’t stop you from halfheartedly fighting your way out of his grasp.
Finally the purple and red magic dissipate and you notice both of Wanda’s arms were dark gray and decaying. You recall Agatha saying she could drain even the most powerful beings of their life force and began to panic. If Wanda fought her, one on one, there was a very good chance of Wanda dying.
You finally break out of Steve’s hold and practically drag him to where Wanda and Vision were.
As soon as you get close enough you grasp her hands and check them, the ring on her finger sticking out amongst the decaying gray.
“Wanda does it hurt?” You ask, she takes a moment to shake her head.
“Oh how sweet.” Agatha remarks as she flies overhead.
“Uhhh guys?” Steve called, you all turned your heads to see what looked to be a  white version of Vision. "What the heck is that?”
You guess Haybitch figured it out.
“Did you just say heck?” You teased, a small flush of embarrassment creeped onto his face.
Suddenly your attention was drawn to the shrieking of wheels on pavement as you and the rest spot jeeps of S.W.O.R.D Agents.
“Fuck me.” You mutter under your breath.
“Later doll.” Steve teased. You were about to retort when you felt a sudden whoosh of wind and suddenly found Monica next to you and Wanda.
“Monica?” You asked, Wanda looked over to you and silently worded ‘who’s Monica?’ in which you replied with a gesture to the curly haired woman.
“I see I came just in time for some fun.” Monica observed.
“How in the hell did you get here so fast?”
“Let’s just say I know who Jimmy’s witness in protection is now.” Monica replied.
The agents open the doors and start pouring out of the jeeps.
All but Haybitch.
“Avengers,” Steve began eyeing you, Wanda, Vision, and Monica with a cheeky glint in his eyes. “A-”
“Assemble” You cut him off, a cheeky grin of your own. With a nod to Wanda and Vision, the magenta man flew off to the other Vision and crash landed into the library.
Suddenly the group of Agents were encased in violet light and lifted to the air, You all turn your heads to Agatha with a bitter smirk on her face.
“Same story different century.” Agatha remarked ruefully, “There will always be torches and pitchforks for ladies like us, Wanda.” finally the magic disappeared from her fingers and the agents were free falling to the ground. With a hurried flourish red light safely landed the agents to the ground.
“Солнечный свет,” Wanda called to catch your attention. “Take care of the military, I’ll be right back.” With glare sent in Agatha’s way she takes off into the sky again.
You turn your attention to the men with guns in front of you. Your hand gently touched your stomach, you hoped that the baby was ok. You promised yourself once Westview was over and done with, once you and Wanda talked things out, you’ll go to a doctor. You didn’t know which one yet, but that can be decided later.
Steve must have noticed your hesitance and gently held your other hand. You looked at him for a moment, his blue eyes unwavering. You looked away from him and returned your attention to the men in front of you. Just as you were about to take a step forward you see a silver blur run past you and suddenly the agents in front of you were unarmed.
“There’s a man in one of the Jeeps in front of us, I’m assuming he’s the boss-man.”  You whip your head around to see a handsome man with blue silver hair covered by a S.W.O.R.D cap and shades. In front of him were the agents missing weapons.
There was a silent pause before you turned to Monica who was the only one unfazed by the man's sudden appearance.
“I’m assuming this is the witness in protection?”
“Correctamundo.” the man answered, reaching out a hand for a formal handshake. Just as you were about to shake his hand, he turned it into a fist and fist bumped you instead. “My name’s Ralph Bohner.” he slightly laughed as he introduced himself. Monica rolled her eyes.
“His real name is Peter Maximoff,” You turned to her with your eyes narrowed quizzically. Before you could question her, her eyes had turned a glowing gold and jumped in front of you. You heard the gunshots and saw her body shake from the force. Just as you were about to scream you noticed her body become translucent and slowing down the bullets until they merely clicked to the pavement below.
There was a moment of silence before Peter was suddenly beside you holding a bullet in front of your face.
“Nice tricks.”
“I like yours too.” Peter responded with a cheeky smile. Monica moved out of the way and you saw Hayward. Whose eyes widened once he caught your attention. Rage filled you when your eyes locked. This was the man who lied, and would’ve hurt the only family you had left. You were the one to take the first step, and once you did Hayward turned and ran as fast as he could to one of the unoccupied jeeps and peeled out of there like a bat out of hell.
Good, he should be terrified.
He wanted a monster.
He was going to get one.
Just as you were about to take off in a sprint a hand held you back, You turned and saw Steve. He pointed to the familiar, faded pink truck headed right towards the jeep until it collided t-bone style. You could see a familiar ravenette with glasses turn her ruby red lips in a sweet smile.
Before you had a moment to appreciate the moment you heard glass shattering. You turn your head to see a white blur headed towards the sky and the familiar magenta synthezoid emerge from the undoubtedly ruined library.
‘Vision!” You yelled as you ran to him. Feet pounding against the pavement toward the man, happy that the white version of him hadn’t torn him to pieces.
“(Y/n),” he smiled.
“You missed all the fun,” You teased once you reached him. “Darcy T-Boned Haybitch it was awesome.”
“I like her.” You heard the silver blue man declare as he pointed at you. You saw Vision narrow his eyes at him.
“Pietro is helping you?”
“Peter, actually.” Peter explained. “I took the guns from those agents over there. Now they’re just standing around being useless.”
“Speaking of you Peter,” You spoke up, “You said your name is Peter Maximoff right?”
“Don’t wear it out.” He joked.
“Are you and Wanda related?”
“It’s a long story.” Peter said, “and there isn’t enough time to explain it all right now.” He pointed to Wanda throwing ball after ball of red magic at her.
“No,” you silently whispered, “What is she doing?”
Vision followed your line of sight and immediately went to help his wife. However he was blocked by her creating a shield, You could see him trying to get past it but it just moved whenever he did. Your fists were clenched and wished more than ever before that you could fly. After all those experiments, why didn’t they make you fly?
Your eyes pricked with tears as you saw the life from her slowly seep out of her with each flick of her wrist. Meanwhile Agatha looked as though she had already won.
Maybe she already had.
When Wanda ceased to move you felt everything crash around you. You screamed in grief, the pain of her death hitting you worse than before. You felt Steve’s arms wrap around you, holding you upright.
You felt a tap on your shoulder, you drew back and saw Steve point to the sky.
You never felt more relieved to see Wanda moving than in that movement. But that didn’t seem to be the case, she wasn’t just moving. A glowing red crown settled on her head, it matched her eyes. You could see Agatha was terrified, as she should be. This was Wanda, not holding back anymore. and she looked ethereal, like a goddess on some other plane.
What she had been wearing before completely changed, her hair was down and flowing behind her in wild curls, framing her face beautifully. everything down to even her shoes, were in a deep scarlet color. It suited her well. You felt a surge of pride and awe when looking at her. You were so captivated by her that you hadn’t noticed the sad look in Steve’s eyes.
You’ve never seen Wanda look so powerful before, and that included when she almost defeated Thanos.
You see them gently floating down to the ground, Agatha’s body was limp and Wanda floated above her.
Once they were on the ground, you and Vision rushed to her. You stopped just short of a few feet, giving her and Agatha some space. You were so relieved to see her that you nearly forgot, Wanda, although beautiful and incredibly gentle. Could be cruelest and without mercy to those who harmed those she loved.
“Good girl,” You heard Agatha say sneering at her, “So, what now? Are you just going to lock me up somewhere?”
“No,” Wanda said, “not somewhere, here.”
A look of confusion passed over Agatha’s face. “Here?” She asked quizzically.
Wanda hummed in agreement. Before stalking towards Agatha, the predator now turned prey. “I’ll give you the role you chose...the nosy neighbor.”
A look of horror flashed through Agatha’s expression before muttering something under her breath.
“No, please.” Agatha pleaded.
“I’m sorry.” Wanda apologized.
“No you’re not, you’re cruel.” Agatha spit back. Wanda only smiled, that’s the smile you always had chills from. The smile that looked so innocent but her eyes gave off a malevolent twinkle.
“You...You have,” Agatha scrambled for words as Wanda neared closer to her, “you have no idea what you unleashed. You’re going to need me.”
“If I do, I know where to find you.”
“Wait! wait wait wait!” Agatha pleaded before a red glow ran through her and changed her into someone you recognized.
Agnes.
“Hiya hun!” Agnes said cheerfully, You could see the pain in her eyes but you couldn’t bring yourself to care. Her smile stretched further as she eyes Wanda up and down. “Say, that’s some kind of get up you’re wearing. Did I leave the oven on or is that just you hot stuff?”
“You live here now. No one will ever bother you.” Wanda promised.
“Okey dokey artichokee.”
“I’ll be seeing you Agnes,” Wanda smiled before turning to you and Vision. Her nose scrunching cutely, as though she didn’t just look like a god and enslaved a wicked woman a moment ago.
“Wanda!” you exclaim as you run into her arms, nearly toppling her over. “Are you ok?! Are you hurt?!”
“I’m fine,” Wanda assured pulling back from you to place a hand on your stomach. “Besides I should be asking you that question shouldn’t I?”
You hold her hand hovering over your stomach as she smiles sadly at you.
“So it would appear that our dream home has been reduced into a fixer upper.” you hear Vision mused behind you. You decide to give the couple they’re space and return to Steve who stood there waiting for you not so far away.
You hug him, knowing well that it may be one of the last times you can. You feel him gently wrap his arms around you.
“She’ll set everything right.” You hear Steve say as he watches the couple in front of him.
“Just not for us.” You whisper as you hold onto him tighter. After a moment you pull away, only holding his hand.
“Let’s go home.” Steve says as you both start the all too short walk back to your home.
It’s like that day all over again, however this time, there wasn’t a pit in your stomach and your feet didn’t feel like lead. You both knew that you had to say goodbye. The sky got dark quickly, the last few rays of sunshine shining by the time you reach the blue door that leads into ‘your’ home.
When you looked inside you could already feel the tears prick behind your eyes. It looked like the apartment you shared with him in New York. Simple, but nice looking.
Steve excused himself to the bathroom while you went into the living room. You dug through the chairs until finally you found it right where you left it. The well worn, leather bound notebook.
“What are you reading there?”
You turned and saw the muscular man illuminated by the lamp light. He changed into a well worn flannel, his blonde hair combed back neatly, and his long lashes making his blue eyes all the more piercing.
“Just some memoir that a soldier boy wrote.” You mused. Clutching the notebook tightly in your hands. You watched as he walked over to you.
“I’m happy.”
“About what?” You questioned.
“I’m happy that you’ve found someone.” Steve explained as he went to hold your hands. “I’m happy you didn’t close yourself off, I’m happy that you’ve found something to fight for again.” his hands gently caressed against your stomach.
“So you know?”
“I remember the day you came into Westview.” He said, “I remember '' one of his hands left your stomach and pointed to your chest. “coming from there. the thing I remember most vividly though, was wanting to see you.”
“and now?” You asked.
“And now, I never want to look elsewhere.” Steve smiled. Tears ran down your face.
“I’ll never have a chance to tell you this again,” you said, wiping the tears from your eyes. “I loved you so much, so much that it hurt. However, when you left I tried so hard to push everything that reminded me of you away. Because however much I loved you, is how much it hurt me to watch you leave me when I never would’ve left you. I pushed everything that I ever had of you away, so when I found out that you left a piece of you with me. Something I couldn’t so easily throw away, part of me wanted you to have somehow known so that way it would make it easier for me to hate you.” tears started to form in those blue eyes. “but” you continued, “I don’t think I could ever hate you. I think I can hurt when I think about you, I think I want to punch your face whenever I think about you. But I think a part of me will always love you.” He leaned his forehead against yours. “would you have stayed if you knew?” You asked.
There was a moment of silence before a reply.
“I would’ve,” Steve said, “I would’ve done anything for you and for them had I known.”
“Would you have resented me?”
“I don’t think I ever could.” Steve responded. Steve gently brushed his thumb over your slightly swollen stomach before continuing. “We don’t have much time left.” He said, “before I go I need to know. What am I?”
You look into his eyes, you both knew he wasn’t the real Steve. Much like Vision isn’t the real Vision. This entire time Steve must have struggled much like Vision, on who he was if not Steve Rogers. You pressed a kiss to his forehead and took in his clean scent one last time.
“You... are Steve Rogers, the boy from Brooklyn. With a heart much bigger than the rest of him, who didn’t ask for a fight but always fought it anyways because it was the right thing to do. You are the Steve that I fell in love with. You are the Steve that gave me hope when I was hopeless, who loved me when I thought I was unlovable, who fought for me when no one else would.”
You both looked outside, seeing the red barrier caving in, in mere moments. You’ll lose Steve again. However this time, you feel more prepared, more ready for it.
“We don’t have much time.”
“A man out of time never does, does he.” You mused, You felt him smile beside you. You felt him move your head from the widow and to him. You carefully study his face, taking in how defined his cheeks and jawline were. How there’s a tiny scar above his brow, faded but still there. His long, thick lashes you were always envious of, covering his soft blue eyes that held a little bit of green. Some freckles dusting over his nose. Small imperfections that made Steve, Steve.
“We’ll be fine,” You assure him.
You close your eyes as you feel his lips on you. This kiss wasn’t like the sweet kisses from before, or a kiss to memorize the feeling of your lips together. But it was a kiss that felt more like an ending. It was bittersweet, and it felt all too short as you pulled away, the feeling of his soft and gentle kiss lingering on your lips. He was most light at that point, not dusting away or disintegrating like before, it was more like he was fluttering away. You see his eyes crinkle and give you one last smile.
“Live a good life doll.”
And with that he was gone, and you were beside Wanda. Right where you were a few weeks ago, like nothing ever happened at all. In front of you was the notebook you had forgotten, You knelt to the ground and picked it up. Dusting away the slight rubble that gathered on top of it.
You looked to Wanda, whose eyes were now dry, she looked at you and grabbed your hand and led you to the car.
“So,” You began, “which one of us is driving?”

Share my infinite (Agatha x Fem!reader) part 3
A/N: So, once again i got carried away and this ended up being long. I wanted to make it a happy ending but also keeping the possibility of a continuation if you want it.
Anyway, i hope you enjoy it! Love you!
Tumblr media
You growled as you started to open your eyes, but shut them again a second later. Your head hurted like hell and you really didn’t want to move. You felt too tired and your body felt too heavy for you, you just wanted to go back to sleep.
The pain was too much for you to handle. It felt like your whole body was on fire. Something inside you snapped.
“Y/N!” You heard Agatha’s voice from somewhere near you.
You opened your eyes again, forcing yourself up, even if it felt like your arms and legs were about to fall out. You didn’t recognise the place you were. It was dark and you were the only thing there, as if you were inside a box, not lights, no windows, nothing. Just the blackness around you.
But you felt safe.
“Where the hell am i?” you asked out loud, not really expecting an answer.
You couldn’t see anything, but that didn’t stop you from walking around. Each step was painful at first, but the more you walked, the easier it was.
“Please don’t die, please don’t die” a voice said and you recognised it as Agatha’s. Her voice sounded too far. You turned around but couldn’t see anything.
“Aggie?” you said, but no one answered.
“AGGIE!” you yelled. Nothing.
“You can’t do this to me, love. Please, please don’t leave me” She said and she sounded so desperate, so lost, so broken. It was heartbreaking and you just wanted to hold her in your arms, whisper in her ear that you were fine and you wouldn’t leave her. You just wanted to save her. But you weren’t even sure how to save yourself.
Memories came back to you in that moment. You walking to your house, already thinking of the recipe you would use for the cake. Billy and Tommy walking by your sides, milk and bread on their arms. The explosion. The pain. You telling them to run and hide. The hole in your chest as you ran to your house. The second wave of pain. Agatha’s voice behind you. Agatha. Then Blackness.
You sat on the floor, trying to solve your own mystery.
“What did Wanda do to me?” you thought, but then frowned. “No, she didn’t do anything. She couldn’t. I’m supposed to be safe from magic”
Your blood was supposed to protect you. Then what the hell happened? You remembered when you and Agatha met. She used her magic on you, but she didn’t mean any harm, so your blood allowed her magic to touch you.
Wanda wasn’t trying to hurt you at all. There was not an evil intention. It was an accident. Is that why your blood didn’t protect you? But then, there have been a lot of accidents in your life, living with a witch could be dangerous sometimes, especially when she was practicing the strongest spells. But you have always been protected even from the harmful accidents.
“You just hate me, don’t you?” you asked, to no one but referring to your blood. Then frowned again “great, now i’m talking to my fucking blood. Focus Y/N!”
“wake up, just wake up!” Agatha’s voice said and you knew she was crying. For a moment, you felt her sadness, she was scared. But suddenly, it changed to something more dangerous. Rage.  “Let her go. NOW!” She growled at someone.
“I- i can’t” another voice said “I- i don’t know what’s happening. I didn’t do anything!” you recognised this second voice too. Wanda. And she was scared, though you didn’t know if it was because of what happened to you or because she felt Agatha’s fury.
“You have three seconds to let my wife go” Agatha warned and you blinked.
Wife? you weren’t even married. You felt your heart jumping and couldn’t help the small smile that appeared on your face. Has Agatha been thinking of marriage? You two have been together for too long that it didn’t seem necessary, but the fact that she had thought about it meant the world for you. She was so sweet.
“FOCUS!” a third voice said and you jumped. It wasn’t your voice, it wasn’t Agatha’s, it wasn’t Wanda’s. In fact, you didn’t recognise this one. Unlike Agatha’s or Wanda’s, this voice sounded like the owner was there with you. But you were alone.
“What the-”
“FOCUS Y/N!” the voice scolded you and you turned around, trying to see who was talking.
“Who are you?!” You asked, a little worried.
“There will be enough time for that conversation, but right now, you need to wake up” it said.
“Wake up?” you frowned.
“You’re trapped in your mind” the voice simply said and you felt your heart stopping.
Your mind. You were on your mind?! Well, that actually explained some things, and it made sense, since Wanda has been doing it to the rest of Westview for a long time now. But Agatha had told you that it was painful, that the people being mind controlled were in agony at all times. Then why were you fine?
“Because the magic was too powerful outside. Here, I can protect you from the pain better” the voice said and you were just too confused.
“protect me? Who are you?” you asked again
“No time! You have to wake up, or you’re gonna stay here forever” it said. You swore you heard it behind you.
“Let. Her. Go” Agatha growled and you knew her patience was gone.
“Your wife’s about to destroy everything” the voice said and you smiled. Of course your Aggie would destroy the world for you. Gosh, you loved her. “Can you please focus on waking up? You can be a lesbian later. Hurry up!” it urged you and you rolled your eyes.
“Can’t see why i can’t do both” you joked, then sighed “alright, Casper, tell me how to wake up”.
______________
Wanda’s eyes widened on fear. She didn’t want any of this to happen! She was just trying to have a good life with her family, but Vision wasn’t listening and she lost control for a moment. She didn’t want to hurt you! But the woman in front of her didn’t hear. This wasn’t Agnes, her friend. This was a woman totally different, and she was fucking scary.
Agatha carefully let your body on the floor, fully turning to Wanda, her purple magic getting stronger with her fury.
“You can kidnap an entire town” she said “you can control your puppets and hurt them if you want”
Wanda stepped back. What was she talking about? She wasn’t hurting anyone! right? The older witch’s eyes were glowing purple as the strings of magic around her floated closer to Wanda.
“But you. Can’t. Touch. My. Wife” Agatha growled and blasted the other woman with her magic. Wanda screamed as she was thrown away. A purple rope wrapped around her ankle and she felt herself being pulled to a nearby house. She tried to fight back, but the other witch didn't let her, throwing her from a building to another too quickly for her to form any spell.
Agatha watched as she kept throwing Wanda, her rage blinding her to the rest of the world.
She had been at the other side of the city when she felt your pain. She flew as fast as she could, but when she arrived at your side, you were already lying on the floor.
She quickly kneeled beside you, taking you in her arms. She called your name, but you were unconscious. She was so scared. She tried to use her magic to wake you up, but it didn't work. She prayed and begged you to wake up, but your pulse was getting weaker and weaker.
No, she couldn't lose you.
The witch felt her tears rolling down her cheeks and her rage blooming on her chest as she turned to Wanda. That stupid woman.
She was the scarlet witch, a powerful being, practically a myth among witches.
But she made the mistake of hurting you, and Agatha didn't care if she was supposed to be more powerful than her.
She. Would. Pay.
Deep inside, Agatha was furious at herself. She shouldn’t have let your side, she should have protected you. She shouldn’t have brought you here in the first place. She was too desperate to make you immortal, to find a way to be with you forever. She just wanted to share her infinite with you.
But she ended up putting you in danger, probably even killing you. The thought broke her heart and the tears were blinding her at this point. She just wanted to love you and ended up losing you.
“Aggie” a whisper came behind her and she freezed. She slowly turned to see you trying to open your eyes.
Her mind went blank, quickly forgetting all her rage, her sadness and everything else. She didn’t see Wanda falling unconscious when her purple magic finally released her.
“Y/N?” she said, quickly flying to your side. She kneeled and took you in her arms carefully, watching your face frowning as you fought the light. Her heart was racing.
“Y/N, love?” she said again and you groaned, finally opening your eyes.
It took you a moment to realise where the hell were you this time, having used a lot of your strength to fight Wanda’s magic and break free from your own mind.
“That Casper fellow was a good help” you thought. You felt something wet and warm hitting your cheek, making you turn to the person holding you. Agatha’s face was painted with concern as her tears hit your face. But her eyes were what catched your attention. They were full of hope, fear, anger and most importantly, love.
Hope that you were alive, fear that it wouldn’t be for too long, angry that she didn’t protect you. But above all, love,  love for you.
“Hey, periwinkle” you whispered and smiled, slowly raising your hand to her face. Agatha gave you a teary smile for the pet name, it had been a long time since the last time you called her that.
“Y/N” she whispered and closed her eyes when you caressed her cheek. She was afraid you would disappear at any moment.
“shhh, i’m here dear. I’m here” you promised and gently pulled her face to yours. She happily met your lips and her heart felt a little less broken. She kissed you as if her life depended on it, not wanting to let you go for a second.
You pressed your forehead to hers when you broke the kiss and watched as relief painted her beautiful face. It amazed you the love she had for you. Agatha locked eyes with you and kissed you again. and again...and again.
You giggled when you finally stopped her, putting your hand on her shoulder. She looked at you worried.
“As much as i want to fucking kiss all of you, even your shadow, i can’t do it on the street” you half joked and she chuckled, tears still rolling down her face. You wiped them away and pecked her lips again.
Agatha smiled and carefully carried you. She took you to your home and left you on the couch, ready to look for any injuries you might have. You smiled at her, loving how her hands felt on your skin and how gentle she was with you. When she made sure you didn’t have  any serious injuries, she looked back at your face. She gasped and you winked.
You were wide smiling, showing her your teeth.
Your fangs were long again.

BABY VISION
AND AGNES DEFINITELY KNOWS SOMETHING
DARCY FINALLY GOT HER COFFEE
SO VIS SAID THAT WANDA COULD’VE MADE EVERYTHING SUBCONSCIOUSLY AND THAT OVER TIME SHE BECAME AWARE OF IT, AND SIS DEFO HAS SOME CONTROL BUT IT’S NOT ALL HER. I THINK AGNES IS AGATHA HARKNESS AND EITHER MEPHISTO IS BEHIND IT OR IT’S NIGHTMARE AND THEY’VE MAYBE POWERED UP NIGHTMARE
***FURTHER UPDATES AND EASTER EGGS***
Auntie Agnes and Agnes saying she has a few tricks up her sleeve - we should definitely take note of that seeing as Agnes definitely has something to do with the whole situation
Wanda and Vision’s house changed again, being inspired by Family Ties, possibly Full House and Growing Pains
“Do you want me to take it from the top?” It seems as though when someone, this time Vision, steers away from the script, things either reset themselves or people become aware to some capacity, although Agnes probably already knows
Speaking of Growing Pains - It had a spin off called “Just the 10 of Us” in which the director for Wandavision, Matt Shakman, was apart of the cast - and seemingly also inspired the theme song for this week
We should definitely keep an eye on Monica and her potential for powers. With Maria last episode revealed to have gone by the name ‘Photon’ (which is a name that Monica uses as one of her aliases in the comics) and could inspire Monica’s name as she develops her powers - those scans didn’t look 100% normal. Monica has also used the Captain Marvel monicker in the comics
Wanda’s energy field and such being referred to as “Hex” short for Hexagon, could be a little nod to the comics where Wanda’s powers are sometimes called Hex powers
She’s never been referred to as the Scarlet Witch on the big screen - and it seems as though she soon may earn that code name
So we now know that Wanda stole Vision’s corpse from S.W.O.R.D, but did she actually re animate him fully? He’s still got the gem in the centre of his forehead, but the last time he had it was in Infinity War where it promptly got ripped out by Thanos - so has Wanda found her own way of reanimating him and he’s alive or is he dead and just a trick of the mind - though from other trailers/previews, Vis is seen trying to and looks successful at leaving Wanda’s barrier
They had a little call back to Captain America: Civil War with the Sokovia Accords, which were targeting the Avengers in general but were created when Wanda lost control of her powers and killed civilians
A little joke towards Vis as playing “Father Knows Best” in their little suburbia - Which was a sitcom that ran for 200 episodes in the 50’s
Sparky ! A little nod to the little green dog from the Walta and King comics run for Vision and unfortunately soon meets the same fate 💔
A little nod to Endgame when we hear from Monica that Wanda definitely could’ve taken down Thanos by herself had Thanos not rained fire - and Jimmy arguing that Captain Marvel could’ve just as easily done it - which leaves Monica with an angry look on her face
Good ol’ dial up internet
Can Vis “save” the residents of Westview? He can still seemingly interact with people’s minds, with or without the mind stone - Norm soon comes out of his trance as Vis snaps him out of it and asks to call his sister and that he has to save them all from “her” - now this “her” could be Wanda...but it could also be Agnes and then Vis shuts him down soon enough again and Norm goes back to his sit com self
Billy and Tommy are fully aware, or at least suspect Wanda’s abilities - after asking her to bring back Sparky from the dead and speaking of Billy and Tommy - could they be semi permanent fixtures in the MCU, it would help to introduce the Young Avengers eventually. They'll do Young Avengers at some point since Kang is supposed to be a thing in the third Ant-Man.
Teddy, unfortunately, I don't think will be here for a bit (I really hope he is though!). I think the guy they hired that everyone is rumoring to be Teddy might just be an episode about Billy coming to terms with his sexuality and Wanda and Vis learning to accept it in the way that era of tv they're in would go about with that kind of episode and the dude is just a dude - but again, I really hope it’s Teddy 😭
Wanda leaves the hex after a mini missile/plane tries to shoot at her - and she’s in her Scarlet Witch costume and is seemingly mostly back to her “normal self”, which includes her accent !
Lagos brand paper towels - “For when you make a mess you didn’t mean to” - a nod to Civil War again in which Wanda accidentally blew up a building in Lagos and caused the Sokovian accords to come to fruition
The mail man again - I also think he was in the commercial but anywho - “Your mom won’t let him go far” similar to “Much like she won’t let anyone leave” a potential nod to Wanda or Agnes not letting anyone leave?
“We can’t reverse death” and yet she brought Vision back - keeping in mind that he’s an android but still a little foreshadow to what happened at the end of the ep? Better yet, could Pietro coming back be a distraction for Wanda? Agnes or whoever introducing someone that Wanda lives in hopes that she won’t go full on breakdown superpowers or just to give her an attachment to Westview even more and make her not want to leave at all
“She recasted Pietro” EVAN ! I’m so pumped for this - it seems this could turn into the X-Men making their debut earlier than expected possibly? In any case, it’s a nice little Easter Egg to the previous Fox franchise of X-Men movies where Evan played Peter Maximoff “Quicksilver” alongside James McAvoy as Prof X, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and so many others - and with Deadpool being confirmed as Disney’s first R rated film, it seems Mutants are definitely on their way to the MCU
Agnes is definitely Agatha or a gender bent Nightmare
The way Billy shed himself and Tommy up was scary - definitely a little nod to his powers coming in
Multiple different perspectives of Wanda saying that Monica left
Red Hex dialled up to around light sources (computer, window, etc.)
Vision mentions reading Charles Darwin’s The Descent of Man - which could refer to Mutants entering the MCU, Mutants being superior to humans
Agnes calls herself Auntie Agnes - in episode 2 during the title sequence in the grocery store there’s a product called ‘Auntie A’s Kitty Litter’
Agnes refers to herself as a Tiger and in the episode, there’s a Tiger on the dining table in the kitchen - could that be a listening device, her eyes and ears?
There are no other children in Westview - Billy and Tommy are immune because they have no prior trauma
Elizabeth Olsen’s photos are real and slightly altered with Sokovian flags in the background
In the birthday shot of Billy and Tommy, they have ‘1,2,3,4,5’ candles all on one cake
In the holiday photos, Vision goes from Turkey to Easter Bunny, to Santa and progressively gets more unhappy - realising he no longer wants to play along in Wanda’s Hex
During Monica’s callbacks to seeing Wanda’s pain inside her head, we see a new shot of Wanda crying - it looks like it’s around the time she stole Vision’s corpse, as the outfit she’s wearing is very similar, if not the same - could this be an after shot of when she’s trying to bring Vision back?
During the scene where we see the footage of Wanda stealing Vision’s corpse, the S.W.O.R.D logo that appears on the table has 8 stars around the rim of the logo but then has a 9th one in the middle - could this be a little Easter Egg to the nine realms of the Cosmos? And there’s also a map showing Cape Canaveral, could that be where S.W.O.R.D’s headquarters are?
Wanda and Pietro were born in 1989 to Irina and Oleg Maximoff - who were killed in an air raid when the twins were 10. In the comics, Wanda and Pietro were raised by Django and Maria Maximoff, before their true parentage was revealed as being the children of Magneto, however, in the comics this has been retconned so that Wanda and Pietro are no longer Mutants and the High Evolutionary had just disguised them as Mutants (something I think they should undo tbh - MARVEL, PLEASE MAKE WANDA AND PIETRO MUTANTS AGAIN!!!)
Speaking of the air raid, that was also referenced in Age of Ultron by Pietro and Wanda - “We were 10 years old, having dinner the four of us. And the first shell hits 2 floors below, makes a hole in the floor” - was the beeping Stark toaster be what that was referring to?
WHIH reappears for a brief cameo as the news service in the MCU - and Hayward cuts off Jimmy as he was trying to defend Wanda’s reputation, in which Jimmy then turns to Darcy and says “I try not to speak ill of people” Darcy then follows up with “Then allow me, Hayward’s a-“ and then she’s cut off by a shot back to Hayward saying the word “Terrorist” which would make sense as it seems with Vision’s corpse, he may have been trying to make sentient weapons and by subverting Vision’s will and blaming Wanda of doing the same. In the footage shown of Wanda stealing Vision’s remains, we see Vision broken up into parts and S.W.O.R.D seems to be experimenting on him and this seems to be the robotics/nanotech project that Hayward was referring to. Monica asks Hayward about the footage saying “When was this?” to which Hayward replies saying “9 days ago. Maximoff stormed our facility, stole Vision’s body and resurrected him” - this would mean that Wanda took Vision 2 weeks after the events of Endgame, about a week before Monica returned to S.W.O.R.D and Hayward didn’t tell her any of this and when he sent her in there, he knew exactly what he was doing - with her reputation after Civil War, this makes it easier for Hayward to paint her as the villain.
Back in Westview, Tommy wears red and Billy wears green - which are the colours that Wiccan and Speed wear in the comics, respectively. And it’s also the colours that Wanda and Vision are known for and appears quite a lot in their wardrobes
More in regards to Sparky, he was the synthezoid dog in Tom King’s run of Vision - the story being that he was originally a dog named Zeke who unfortunately passed away after digging up the Grim Reaper’s corpse and getting zapped. The Grim Reaper’s helmet appears during the title sequence of Episode 2 in the floorboards. Could Sparky have been trying to dig up a similar thing when he was caught by Agnes and consequently killed?
Monica mentions that she knows this aerospace engineer, they’re never shown but she is seen texting them. Could it be Reed Richards a.k.a Mr Fantastic? Hayward did mention that some astronauts used to work for S.W.O.R.D before a mission went haywire - though it seems a bit lacklustre to introduce such highly anticipated characters this way. Could it instead be the Skrull daughter of Talos that Monica befriended at the end of Captain Marvel? She mentioned that they had extraterrestrial allies in episode 4 working with her and Fury as apart of S.W.O.R.D - in the Spanish subtitles they use the feminine articles for this engineer - so I think it’s more likely to be Talos’s daughter
The board that we saw in Episode 4 now includes the mailman, drivers license and all - could he be Jimmy’s missing witness?
The tension in the room after Jimmy references Carol is similarly seen when in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where Peter asks Skrull Fury/Talos “How about Captain Marvel?” To which Talos replies “Don’t involve her name”. Fury, Monica and Talos were all on the side of the Skrulls by then end of Captain Marvel and the space station that Fury was on maybe apart of S.W.O.R.D. So did Carol betray them?
A slight reference to Captain America: The First Avenger is made when Monica pulls a Peggy Carter and shoots at something to see if it’s bulletproof, in Peggy’s case it was the iconic Captain America shield and in the case of Monica, it was her clothes that she was wearing after Wanda threw her out of the Hex
Abilash (Norm) never states that Wanda is the one that Vision has to save them from, it’s just “her” - could this instead be Agnes?
When Billy is training Sparky to sit, he puts the treat by his ear up to his temple - a future reference that Billy will one day share the same powers as his mum?
During the scene in which Wanda leaves the Hex briefly, she turns the guns onto Hayward but none are trained on Monica - she may still trust Monica slightly, whereas with Hayward, she slightly more pissed off because of what he was doing to Vision’s remains. And turning a bunch of guns on the people you don’t trust? Like father, like daughter as Magneto pulls a similar move in one of the X-Men films - Hopefully, the big cameo they keep teasing will be Ian McKellan as Magneto or the Magnus of this House of M adaptation
During when Agnes “found” Sparky, she says he died from eating too many leaves from her plants - in the Tom King Vision run, one of Vision’s kids ends up killing Sparky and sees inside his stomach that there’s a plant that Agatha Harkness grows in her garden
All the names that appear during the credits that Wanda tries to run to end the show and to stop Vision from talking are names of people who work on the actual Wandavision show itself
When Evan Peter’s version of Quicksilver shows up, he says “Does a long lost bro get to squeeze his sister to death or what?” I DO NOT TRUST THIS PIETRO - Similar to Wandavision, the Fox X-Men movies moved up decade by decade - First Class was in the 1960s, Days of Future Past was in the 1970s, Apocalypse was in the 1980s and Dark Phoenix was in the 1990’s - which would make even more sense as MCU! Pietro wasn’t born until 1989, whereas Peter was active during the 1980s. I reckon that this Pietro is Jimmy’s missing witness, Agnes’s husband Ralph and is disguising itself as a comforting presence to Wanda as Vision no longer brings comfort and is trying to bring Wanda back to reality - and when he shows up, the mirror in the background behind Wanda is slightly distorted but his hand looks red and in the shot as well, there seems to be a grey arm reaching towards Pietro - in the shot itself behind and in front of Wanda, there’s nothing there but in the mirror, there is! Either way, I do not trust this Pietro and it’s just an entity trying to give Wanda the last thing that could make her happy - but it won’t last, as everything is already breaking down around her.
I seriously seriously love this show so much 💙

WandaVision AU - “Post Mom-tem”
By thatoneaspie
| Synopsis: After Wanda takes down the Hex around Westview, NJ, Vision dies. She thought she would find herself alone, but on the contrary: she’s now pregnant. (She never had the twins in the Westview storyline). “Post Mortem” means “after death” in Latin. |
———————————
Tumblr media
It’s mid-day, and Jimmy Woo and Monica Rambeau are having lunch. It’s been almost a year - nine months to be exact - since they’ve seen Wanda, and nine months since the Westview anomaly was solved.
“That was insane,” says Jimmy, still in disbelief. “I mean, Agnes was the villain all along - total crazy twist, gotta give props to the writers ——”
“Hush.” Says Monica, out of nowhere.
“Tough crowd. Sheesh.” Jimmy sighs.
“No. Really. Something’s wrong with Wanda.”
Jimmy is shocked by this statement, as Wanda has been completely off the grid since what happened at Westview. He’s silent for awhile, but can’t contain it.
“How do you know—- I mean, even if she is, how the hell would you even find her?” Jimmy asks, sipping on some iced tea.
“I think I know where she is.”
Jimmy spits out his drink. “And why are you just telling me now?”
Monica looks visibly annoyed for a moment, then softens. How would he know what she could do?
“Since the Hex altered my DNA, I have a connection with Wanda somehow - sometimes I can feel what she’s feeling. But I can’t pinpoint where she is, until just now - it must be really urgent.”
“You better go, then!” Jimmy starts, but Monica is gone before the end of the sentence.
Sighing, Jimmy takes the check. “She better get the next one. I don’t make the big bucks.”
————————
Tumblr media
Monica finds herself in the middle of snowy mountains at a run-down cabin. The high-pitched hum of the tea kettle can be heard inside. Then, she hears someone groaning softly.
Inside, she finds Wanda, dressed in white sweats, on all fours, and her hair tied up in a messy bun. Sweaty ringlets of hair frame her hardly visible face. She is breathing mechanically, almost as if run by a machine.
“Wanda?” Monica says hesitantly, making her way towards her. She kneels on the ground and puts a comforting hand on Wanda’s back.
Wanda is nothing like Monica saw her last. The Scarlet Witch was now vulnerable, on the ground and unbelievably exhausted.
“Monica.” She breathes.
Wanda turns over, a visible effort, and begins to breathe heavily again. One hand takes Monica’s, gripping it tightly, and the other makes it way toward her hyperextended stomach.
She’s pregnant.
And not only pregnant - but in labor.
————————————
Tumblr media
“Wanda — when? How?”
It seems that it’s difficult for Wanda to talk, but she manages an explanation.
“When I took down the Hex, Viz was gone, and I thought that was it... but as soon as he... died, I noticed a bump... and here we are. I have no idea how it happened, because I can’t control reality outside the hex... and I’ve spent the last 9 months trying to figure it out and have gotten nowhere. He must have left them for me... so I wouldn’t be... alone...”
She begins to cry, doing her best to fight off the emotion. She’s too tired, and the labor so far has worn her out, so she lets the tears come.
“Wanda... hey.” Monica gently puts her arms around Wanda and lets her sob into her shoulder. “It’s alright. I’m here... you’re not alone, Wanda.”
“I can’t do this... I can’t have these babies without Vision.” Then her face contorts into one of pain, and she begins her controlled breathing again.
“You’re going great, Wanda. Just keep breathing like that. You can do this.”
“I can’t. I can’t. I can’t.”
“You can. And you will, because your babies need you. If not for you, and if not for them... for Vision.”
Wanda looks up at Monica. The bags under her eyes are more evident than ever, and her green eyes show understanding. She nods and then goes back to breathing.
“Hooo. Heee. Hooo.”
——————-
Tumblr media
After another contraction subsides, Monica slowly leads Wanda to the small bed in the back of the cabin. She helps her change into a clean gown, and coaches her through her contractions.
“No more... please. I’m sorry for what I did at Westview...” Wanda screams, but to no one at all.
Monica is unsure what to do with this response. Wanda seems in a trance, that only subsides after her most intensive contractions. Maybe Vision did leave her the children, but is someone else... maybe someone uninvited, involved as well.
Could Agatha be torturing her again somehow?
There was no time to dwell on this theory; it was time for Wanda to start pushing.
Monica props her up on the bed with pillows behind her back, and holds her hand from the end of the bed.
“Wanda, it’s time to push.”
“God... it feels like I’m being ripped apart. And Agatha literally tried to rip me apart...” She laughs weakly.
Wanda pushes for several hours, unbelievably spent, but determined to meet her children. Monica’s hand is almost broken by the end of it.
Monica delivers them both safely: two beautiful and perfect baby boys.
“Tommy.” Wanda says sweetly to one of the sleeping babies. Monica has never seen this side of her before; so gentle, so protective.
“And Billy.” Wanda says, looking to the other sleeping boy in Monica’s arms. Her eyes suddenly glaze over with a vacant look.
“Vision loved that name. Billy.” She looks over at her baby boy again and strokes his cheek. He always wanted to be a dad.” She wipes a tear away and sniffles.
“Maybe... maybe Vision is a dad.”
Wanda looks at Monica, her eyes accusatory but purposely vague. “What do you mean?” She whispers.
“These boys are obviously Vision’s, that we’ve worked out... but it’s impossible for him to leave you pregnant after death. So maybe... he’s still alive.”
Wanda puts her hand to her mouth in disbelief. “How did I miss that? Oh my god...”
“Either that...” Monica thinks to herself, “or, Agnes is using these children to torture you again, and Vision is really dead. But if that’s the case, why do the babies look so much like him...?”
“There’s only one way to find out.” Wanda says determinedly, “I need to call in a favor.”
“And what might that be?” Monica asks.
“Dr. Strange.”

WandaVision episode 7 spoilers
My notes of the episode I would now like to state (before I start the episode) I don’t think the Metispho theory is going to happen anymore I believe it’ll be something or someone else.
Title: Breaking the fourth wall
It would be Wanda breaking back into her legitimate/original reality instead of ours since she created her own within that.
Ahh it’s starting
Vision isn’t next to Wanda when she woke up
The kids game controllers keep switching years.
Billy said his head hurts I’m assuming all the voices from everyone else are crowding his.
The show is definitely set closer to our time maybe the early 2000s or 2010.
The milk box is changing years as well and she said she’s not sure what it’s about. But this is first time we’ve seen her eat since episode one,
The hex is now huge. Hayward is planning on launching something knowing him it’s a weapon.
Vision has woken up next to the city’s and recalls that he was pulling apart. He’s also confused on why Darcy doesn’t
Darcy is doing her individual interview and she is an escape artist maybe this means she’s gonna get out.
“Don’t believe anything that man said he is not your uncle,” Wanda after the twins asked what uncle P meant about rekilling Vision. She said she had no answers.
“I’m starting to believe that everything is meaningless,” She’s clearly breaking down way pass her breaking point which is why she was comfortable saying something like that in front of the twins.
Agnes knows she’s going crazy hint the cutting her own bangs comment.
The twins don’t want to go with Agnes because they think they need to take care of Wanda,
Things are glitching back to older decades and she had to manually switch it back then the infamous “I’m fine,” Laughing.
Monica and Jimmy found out that Hayward was trying to bring Vision back as a weapon which is why he was so upset when Wanda was able to bring him back
Finally
So now they’re saying that they need to warn Wanda.
They found the rest of the SWORD agents wait nvm those are their contacts
They said they’re loyal to Monica just like they were to her mom interesting.
They got the tank she need to safely re enter the hex.
Darcy has been freed from the spell. Darcy punched the circus
She admitted she doesn’t know who the imposter Pietro is or if her kids are safe.
Wanda’s losing control over her powers the house keeps changing.
“I don’t understand what’s happening why it’s all falling apart and why I can’t fix it,”
Interview guy: “Do you think maybe this is what you deserve?”
“What?” Wanda “Youre not supposed to talk?” Shes loosing control over the citizens as well I suppose.
She’s depressed so the commercial about antidepressants is a given but the line “ A unique antidepressant that is made to anchor you back to your reality,” Is what has me confused on which reality they’re referring to. Nvm “Or the reality of your choice,”
One of the side is more depression which I think she was depressed outside the HEX before she made it and when she made it it just brought her to the depression she’s in now.
“Nexus because the world doesn’t revolve around you or does it?”
Agnes still has the bunny from the second episode
Billy said I like it here because you’re quiet Agnes on the inside. I haven’t moved on yet but I think he’s saying he can’t feel the pain inside her like Wanda’s grief is in her control and my default in the rest of Westviews citizens but he can’t feel the pain in Agnes maybe because the control isn’t there?
Tommy “ do you think our moms okay?”
Agnes looks around confused before saying “ oh for sure you don’t have to worry about your mom she’s a super mom,” Then it cuts to her interview saying “Ralph says I sugarcoat things,”
Still mentioning Ralph but even in their house we haven’t seen them.
Monica has a SWORD suit on made to contain her but now that’s shes her pure energy what’s gonna happen?
She said this is there last shot. What does she know that makes this the last shot because from what we know she can go back in whenever with the equipment she was given.
The exterior of the hex is becoming equal to the vehicle so it was half of it was rewritten before shot back out.
Monica knows she can make it through and as she goes through you can see different stages of her life and here the dialogue of her in Captain Marvel before her mom goes to space with Carol.
“Maybe I could fly up and meet you halfway,” Younger Monica.
She’s now screaming no I think she’s being rejected back out maybe because this time she isn’t being sucked in.
All of her phases and ages were pushed into her bodies and her eyes glew blue.
She can see all the energy in colors coming off the powerlines the whole world was in like pastel colors pink purple and blue. Before she blinked her eyes and it went back to normal. She’s getting her power exciting. She took her sword suit off because she doesn’t need it.
“So Wanda killed me?” Vision
“Yes, but it’s not that simple you asked her to do it,” Darcy.
“Why would I have done that?”
“To save the universe well half of it,”
“Did it work?”
“It did. Until the bad guy rewind time and killed you himself.”
She’s catching him up on his life before Hayward took him apart possibly wiping him. I can’t tell if Wanda or Hayward wiped him. Since he was so scared about not remembering anything before Westview before he gets his summary now.
“I came back and died again?”
“And Wanda had to watch,” After Darcy said that you could see the pity in Vision’s eyes.
Vision’s interview: “I believe Wanda is creating these impediments to stop me returning home,”
Yeah she’s created another one the construction workers stopping them from getting home.
Vision said he was a body made by Ultron and an AI named Jarvis but what is he now?
Darcy said she thought Wanda just like flipped a switch and brought her back but she doesn’t understand why he dies if he leaves.
“What I do know is I’ve seen watching WandaVision for the past week and the love you two have is real,”
Vision seems conflicted at that.
Monica made it in and when she came into the house Wanda was taking the Nexus antidepressants and she is confused on how she got in.
She begins to blame the drones and missles on Sword which that was then but then she blames Pietro on them and Monica claims Pietro wasn’t Swords doing.
Everyone including Dottie is watching Wanda use her powers to hold Monica in the air. They all seems stunned but not really surprised
“All you do is lie!”
When Monica hit the grown energy surrounded/protected her and her eyes were blue again. Wanda was definitely shocked by whatever powers she developed.
“The only lies I’ve told are the ones you put in my mouth,” Monica walking towards Wanda.
“Careful what you say to me,” Wanda as she conjures up her powers as a way to threaten Monica.
“Do it then,” Monica said knowing she probably wouldn’t do it. I think she knows Wanda wants help she just doesn’t want to leave her kids and Vision behind. “Take me out,”
“Don’t let him make you the Villain,” Monica talking about Hayward who’s going to tear Westview down to get Vision back.
“Maybe I already am,”
Agnes sees this go down and goes outside. Monica talks about how she isn’t scared of Wanda she already lost her mom and that was the worst thing that can happen. She said she can’t bring her back then she says. “I can’t control this pain anymore,”
Which is Wanda’s situation entirely her pain got so out of control her powers made up for it. Monica and Wanda share an understanding.
She broke through to Wanda I could see it in her eyes but then Agnes came over and said “Young lady, I think you overstayed your welcome,”
Agnes doesn’t want Westview to end she can’t let it end. I’m assuming she said something to do with the creation. Agnes is manipulating Wanda to thinking what Agnes wants is what she wants but it’s not. Wanda was going to shutdown Westview until Agnes came and led her away.
As soon as Wanda was back inside the rest of the citizens went about their day.
There is kids where did they come from? I’m still confused on that.
Now Vision is starting to understand what Wanda went through he’s realized how much stuff she endured he endured it too but he said it felt like it happened to another person. I feel like he’ll be less harsh now. Or stop trying to shut it down as hard I’m not sure yet.
He ended the interview saying “I need to get to my wife,”
Agnes brought Wanda to her home.
Wait how is Yo Gabba Gabba on the TV when thats a nickeloaden show. That wasn’t really related I was just confused.
The music has gotten scary as Wanda looks around.
“Where are the twins?”
“Oh they’re probably just playing in the basement,” Agnes said seemingly wayyy to calm for the twins to be possibly missing she knows something.
There are vines all in Agnes’s basement and there’s wind blowing it’s like a maze. There’s a book it looks like a spell book. Yep it was.
She came down to find Wanda stroking Sir Sratchy
“Wanda, Wanda. You didn’t think you were the only magical girl in town, did you?” She just admitted to being Agatha Harkness.
She is the villain I’m sure of it. Her and Hayward are both the villains. I’m just not sure why she needs Westview to stay up and running.
Wanda has red or scarlet waves that show her powers and Agatha or Agnes has purple waves.
Her eyes are purple and she’s going into her head.
Agatha is getting her own show theme sequence called “Agatha all along,” It’s going through the decades it’s switched to. Her waves are purple and she has the power to manipulate peoples mind I’m assuming. That’s how she messed with Herb after fixing the talent show.
OHHH MY GOD
people thought the twins brought back Pietro or Peter after seeing their mom upset but it was Agatha.
Agatha was the interviewer who asked “Do you think maybe this is what you deserve?”
She’s not only playing physical tricks and changing the actual physical surroundings in Westview she’s doing mind tricks.
“Who’s been pulling every evil string?” The chorus.
“She’s insidious,”
“So perfidious that you haven’t even noticed and the pity is,”
“It’s too late to fix anything now everything has gone wrong,”
“Thanks to Agatha Naughty Agatha,”
She admitted to killing Sparky which I think I commented on a few eps back.
But the “it’s too late to fix anything”might be why the times period keep changing along with the house because she’s already lost control of her powers she can’t get control back now. “now that everything has gone wrong,”
A lot of suspicions people had including myself have been comfirmed Agatha is the villain. But that’s only from the inside we still have Hayward to worry about.
WAIT THERE END CREDITS THIS TIME.
It’s Monica trying to break into Agatha’s basement as soon as she opened the door from the outside. Her eyes might’ve changed a bit but there was purple waves from Agnes in the vines. I can’t tell if Monica eyes are blue from her energy or purple from Agatha’s influence.
But a man caught her and said “Snoopers gonna snoop,” At first guess I randomly said Tommy all grown up but that’s unlikely now I’m thinking it was Ralph. We wouldn’t know because we haven’t seen him all season though. Wait that we Peter/Pietro that’s how he got back there so fast.

I wanna take my time to talk abt this depressing episode.
-Let’s start with wanda’s home and experiments.
That shit hurt so much, so fucking much, they were watching TV, a sitcom, funny family comedy so they could learn english and get the fuck out there. Then the next thing she remembers is that her parents are dead and she is hiding under her bed with her brother and waiting for that bomb to explode. but that bomb never explode and we know why, she used a spell. But i’m pretty sure that Wanda did that thing with her hand bc she knew she had the Gene X in her, maybe her father told them.
And i’m deducing that wanda could only move things at that time. She did the same thing magneto does when she wants to move things with his hand. So probably she knew at that time but maybe somehow forgot cause she was still weak and hadn’t have a training until she went to the experiments. With the stones is when she got her powers amplified and she saw herself in the future as the scarlet witch.
Tumblr media
she has the thingy in her head and probs the future costume that she is gonna be using. that scene for me was powerful enough to make jump in happiness.
Also, going back to her father entering the scene. He brings stolen things, we know they are stolen by the look the mom gave him, he was stealing to sell and to escape from the war and at the same time was giving his kids a class in English so they could go to America i guess, following Pietro’s story in X-Men, he immigrated from sokovia to America changing his name to “Peter” to “blend in”. So probably that’s what they were doing. But going back to the father stealing: He couldn’t just do that without powers or help, and at that time i’m pretty sure it was every person for themselves so he didn’t had much help from ppl, but he used his powers (maybe) so this could be a nod to magneto and maybe a hint that he is still alive?? i mean killing magneto is a hard job to do, maybe the soldiers found him and brought him to experiment on him?? just like the x-men magneto but with nazis (this are suppositions, don’t take anything seriously)
And now i’m just gonna take two seconds to talk about how well marvel was able to put the eastern european essence in the ep. That scene made me cry a lot by making me remember my home, the smell, the colors, the patterns, the cultural things we have in our houses, the kitchen and bed integrated room, all of that made me cry so much when i saw it. Marvel just reminded me how much i miss home and the fact that i won’t be able to go back again so this broke me and i’m sure that many eastern europeans that had to immigrate due to war persecutions/poverty/any other thing, they feel the same way when they see it. I’m just gonna say thank you for the very accurate representation of many eastern europeans houses, thank you for literally bringing me the smell of my house, its been many years.
-The Wanda and Vision conversation that had me laughing and crying at the same time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vision gave wanda the speech she needed at that time, the speech that told her that she will be okay, that sorrow is part of our life, sadness help us grow up, but first we need to learn to do so. That’s why when the dog died wanda stop the twins from growing up remembering Vision’s words, sadness is important in our life. we can’t grow up and ignore it, we need time or otherwise we will never learn.
Also let’s talk about the panic robot 😂 the awkward smile he gave to wanda lmao he was like “i wanna kiss you, but i’m super shy” 😂 I swear i don’t like romantic shit, but Wanda and Vision makes me wanna see more. they are perfect for each other. A witch and a robot, perfection.
-Wanda at sword and creating the hex.
If the home thing hurt me that much, this part destroyed me and took the remains of my broken heart after the first thing.
Wanda going to sword with the intention of giving vision a proper burial and finding out that they were ripping his boyfriend apart to make a weapon out of him, that broke me a lot. And the fact that Hayward had NO RESPECT for wanda’s grief makes me thing that he is either a Hydra agent or a Kree, one of those. I saw many Hydra agents trying to empathize and make it worse (Grant Ward) and Kree doesn’t even understand what empathy is lol. The fact that he just broke wanda thinking she was helping her it’s not okay. He said “I can’t let you take 3B of vibranium” so money it’s more important than a woman being in pain, i see you fucking bitch.
Tumblr media
Then he proceeded to let wanda see him up close thinking, once again, that it would help, but in reality it didn’t help and then modification the video to make her look like the villain. Then she goes and touch him and says “I can’t feel you” when they always said to each other “I feel you”. shit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next thing that we see is wanda going to westview, but the town was not figuring and real, Jimmy said it in ep 4, so maybe it’s bc Vision erased it to be able to hide with wanda after all that happened? Wanda wanted to be hide because she was still afraid of the outside world and ppl looking at her bad for what she did in lagos. Was vision planing a retirement with her? cause that hurts bro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He even wrote with a heart representing how much he loved her and this just makes me so mad and sad. please just bring him back and make wanda happy , she deserves it.
-Vision coming back
In the post-credits Vision comes back thanks to the drone that has the properties of the hex. I have so many theories about this part, but i wanna start with the future of the new vision.
Ppl are already going with the “wanda will have to kill vision again” and i’m saying that i don’t think so. Vision is a robot, robots can be reconfigured, unless you are ultron, then you have no good future lol, but i believe that vision can be reconfigured to the normal one, to one who was not a weapon but just a sintezoide trying to understand humans and practically evolving into one. And also he had the properties of the hex and the hex is a part of wanda, hence he was a part of wanda and i’m pretty sure Monica has it too that’s why after she goes out she has even more motivation to help her, not only bc she understands her pain but because maybe she felt it and saw it (remember that monica has a flashback with wanda crying and we see that flashback in this do that it’s when she arrived to westview, so monica probably saw that but she doesn’t quite understand what she saw yet, she only knows she has to help wanda).
So maybe Vision is reconfigured as a sword weapon, but i’m pretty sure you can easily change that so Wanda can still have the real vision back.
What i don’t quite comprehend is why is vision blue-ish? shouldn’t he be red? i mean should he get his real color? this assuming that he really came back from the dead, but if he didn’t i understand that he should have that color and not his alive form.
anyways, i have a theory about the hex, it’s gotta be a nexus or how you wanna call it, but it’s gotta be that or maybe a way to the nexus?? i mean she is a nexus being and the hex gives mutant genes and i’m sure it’s more than just genes that it gives. I’m pretty sure Agatha was able to bring pietro from x-men trough the hex and now i’m super sure that Hayward is trying to use that hex too. following my theory of him being a kree, i would say that bc the kree are very into the whole nexus thing and finding all sort of technology to use against humans he would pretty much would want the powers of the hex to travel and get all types of technology for himself. I mean he literally weaponized vision and i’m sure that it’s not only to fight against wanda.
anyways that’s all i got, imma go cry now.

Press: A Thorough Breakdown of All the Marvel Easter Eggs on WandaVision
POPSUGAR: WandaVision has finally arrived, and it’s chock-full of hidden goodies for Marvel fans to devour! While the series is built upon a mystery that we’ll be spending a reported nine episodes trying to figure out, the smallest details in each episode provide clues on where the show is heading. From supermarket banners to foreboding commercials, viewers have an abundance of references and callbacks to classic comic lore and pivotal MCU moments. Are they setting the stage for a big reveal at the end, or are they just fun details included for fans to enjoy? While we try to figure it all out, scroll through to see what we’ve gathered! And check back every week for an episode-by-episode breakdown as WandaVision progresses.
  WandaVision Episode 5 Easter Eggs
Wanda and Vision’s brand new house, suitable for a family of four, is reminiscent of homes in ’80s sitcoms such as Full House and Growing Pains.
When Agnes comes in to offer her babysitting help, she refers to herself as “Auntie Agnes,” which is eerily close to her comic counterpart’s nickname, Auntie Agatha.
An uncomfortable break in conversation leads Agnes to ask Wanda if she wants her to “take it from the top.” Though Wanda appears confused for a moment, she readily smoothes the conversation and carries on. Vision is visibly perturbed, though Wanda attempts to redirect his attention. It seems like the facade is fading all around.
To the surprise of their parents, Tommy and Billy age up five years while the two argue over Agnes’s break in character.
This episode’s opening sequence shows Wanda and Vision growing up, which we know didn’t happen in real life for the synthezoid. The theme song sounds very similar to those from Family Ties and Growing Pains, and consists of lyrics noting that “we’re just making it up as we go along.” Sounds pretty close to how things are going with Wanda and Vision!
When Wanda’s scans come back, they’re inconclusive and show up blank. Considering Monica gains her powers due to bombardment by extradimensional energies in the comics, it’s entirely possible that the blast from Wanda back in episode three, coupled with passing through the forcefield around Westview twice, have given her those abilities. We could be seeing the rise of Photon!
While Jimmy Woo is explaining Wanda’s backstory to the agents of S.W.O.R.D., Director Hayward asks if she’s ever used a “funny nickname” like the other Avengers. She hasn’t, in fact, she’s never been referred to as Scarlet Witch in the MCU ever. Since her powers are different from her comic book counterpart, there’s never been a reason for anyone to call her a witch.
That never-before-seen post credits scene from Infinity War has officially made its debut. Director Hayward reveals footage of Wanda entering S.W.O.R.D. headquarters to steal Vision’s disassembled body. The video harks back to a moment in the comics where Vision was kidnapped and taken apart — but still very much alive. Much like that Vision, the one in Westview has his memory wiped and doesn’t remember anything before he woke up in his new world. So, the question is whether Vision is actually alive or not. Wanda’s hallucination from episode four might suggest he’s a walking corpse, but there’s more to the story.
Jimmy mentions that Wanda’s stealing of Vision’s body violates the Sokovia Accords, which haven’t been mentioned since Captain America: Civil War. Unfunnily enough, the Accords were a direct response to the mission gone wrong in Lagos where Wanda lost control of her powers and caused the death of many civilians.
Darcy mentions that Vision is playing “Father Knows Best in Surburbia,” referencing the ’50s sitcom.
Tommy and Billy find a dog that, with the help of Auntie Agnes, they name Sparky. The Vision family has a dog with that exact name in the King and Walta comics, but he’s green. Sadly, he meets a similar fate as his live-action counterpart.
Wanda blatantly uses her powers in front of Agnes, who has seemingly handled the magic around her with ease. It’s almost as if she’s used to magic.
Darcy calls the Westview anomaly the “hex” because of its hexagonal shape. Although the magic has been taken out of the phrase, Wanda’s powers are known as hexes in the comics.
Jimmy, Monica, and Darcy try to understand how Wanda can revive Vision and control the Hex, which takes much more power than she’s ever displayed before. Monica notes that Wanda has always been powerful, being the only Avenger who was close to taking down Thanos singlehandedly, which Jimmy interjects to note that Captain Marvel could as well. Both are empowered by Infinity Stones, with Carol’s Kree biology giving her a power boost.
When Jimmy brings up Captain Marvel, Monica is visibly uncomfortable and changes the subject back to Wanda. What happened there?
Vision’s office mates learn about the sweet glory that is dial-up internet! But when he and Norm open their first bit of electronic mail, it’s a transmission picked up from S.W.O.R.D. talking about the Maximoff anomaly.
Vision breaks through Norm’s conditioning, revealing that he’s under the control of a woman (alluding to it being Wanda). He directly references his family, a conversation that Jimmy mentioned in his notes in the last episode.
The twins have aged themselves up to 10 by this point and are seemingly completely aware that Wanda has control over certain aspects of life, like time. They point out that it was Saturday when they woke up, but Wanda says it’s now Monday. She apparently changed the day to send Vision to work. Is their awareness because they also have magic or because she doesn’t control them?
Monica sends an ’80s drone into Westview after working out that Wanda’s Hex is rewriting reality to suit each era occurring in the bubble, and the drone would need no era-appropriate change. Though she attempts to speak with Wanda through the drone, Director Hayward commands agents to fire a missile at Wanda instead — directly ignoring that Monica said she doesn’t see Wanda as a danger. The action results in Wanda leaving the Hex and confronting the S.W.O.R.D. agents outside. She’s wearing the suit we last saw her wearing in Infinity War and Endgame and has her accent back, although it’s much thicker than it’s been since Ultron.
Episode five’s commercial is more pointed than any of them have been. Lagos brand paper towels directly reference the city in which Wanda accidentally killed several people in Civil War by blowing up a building. Thus, the Sokovia Accords were born.
While Wanda and the twins are searching for a missing Sparky — with no one calling out the fact that Wanda disappeared for some time — the mailman tells the boys that their mom “won’t let him get far.” It seems almost like a dig at how no one can leave Westview, like the doctor mentioned during episode three.
When Agnes reveals that Sparky died after eating too many azalea bush leaves, the boys ask their mother to reverse his death. Agnes seems particularly surprised by the idea of Wanda having that ability despite having seen other displays of her power and watching the twins age up rapidly twice. Wanda tells the twins that they can’t reverse death as there are still rules to things, which almost seems hypocritical considering her circumstances. Is she trying to say that she hasn’t revived Vision? Or is she simply trying to keep her boys from expecting too much from her?
Later that night, Vision reveals that he unearthed Norm’s repressed memories and demands to know what’s going on. He tells Wanda that she can’t control him, which she cooly responds asking him, “Can’t I?” Although the credits start rolling, their argument continues as Vision unleashes his frustration with not knowing his past and his confusion over their circumstances. Wanda tells him that she doesn’t control everything, saying, “I don’t even know how all of this started.” Vision believes it began subconsciously, but chastises Wanda for letting it get that far. Wanda reiterates that she isn’t controlling everything, which gives weight to the theory that there’s someone else behind the scenes. But who could it be if Wanda isn’t the “she” that Norm was referring to?
Mid-argument, the Vision family doorbell rings, which Wanda states she didn’t do. I’m inclined to believe her because when she opens the door, she is genuinely shocked speechless. At the door is her “brother” Pietro, now sporting the face of Evan Peters. Darcy asks the question we were all thinking as the episode closes, “She recast Pietro!?”
  WandaVision Episode 4 Easter Eggs
This episode opens with the heartbreaking reveal that Monica Rambeau was one of the people lost to the Snapture from Infinity War. She returns from Endgame’s Reverse-Snap in a hospital where she had been awaiting news after her mother Maria’s surgery.
As Monica is waking up, we hear familiar voices echoing in her head. It’s Captain Marvel calling her by her childhood nickname, Lieutenant Trouble.
As Monica weaves through the chaos of people reappearing in the hospital post-Reverse-Snap, she finally locates someone who recognizes her. Although Maria survived the surgery five years ago, she died from cancer three years ago in real time, having not been blipped with her daughter.
We finally have some information on S.W.O.R.D.! The acronym stands for Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division, rather than the meaning in Marvel comics, which is Sentient World. It sounds a little more ominous, right?
Maria’s badass legacy continues well past her friendship with Captain Marvel; according to S.WO.R.D.’s acting director, Tyler Hayward, Maria helped build the agency during its inception. She was the acting director until her death.
Tim gives Monica a mission to help out the FBI in the town of WestView, NJ, where something super freaky is going on with a missing person’s case. This confirms that WestView is, indeed, a very real place.
Welcome back, Jimmy Woo! Monica’s FBI contact is none other than Scott Lang’s parole officer and semifriend, Agent Jimmy Woo.
Jimmy reveals that a person in witness protection has somehow dropped off the map in a town that no longer seems to exist where no one recalls anyone who lived there. In an attempt to figure out what’s going on, Monica sends in a S.W.O.R.D. drone that vanishes inside the forcefield. It’s revealed to have transformed into the retro-style helicopter that Wanda picks up in episode two! We can only assume that since it’s an item from the outside world, it gained color when it entered Wanda’s reality to show that it doesn’t belong.
Darcy Lewis is back! Now a doctor in astrophysics, Darcy is called to help figure out what’s gone wrong with WestView. She’s the one who figured out a signal for the broadcast and is the owner of the hand we saw watching Wanda and Vision in episode one.
The mysterious beekeeper from episode two is revealed to be S.W.O.R.D.’s Agent Franklin, who journeyed through Westview’s sewers to investigate. His hazmat suit became a beekeeper’s uniform, and the cable around his waist becomes a jump rope as he travels through the tunnels.
Darcy explains that the sitcom that’s become Wanda and Vision’s life is literally being broadcast through the signals that S.W.O.R.D.’s viewing, with an audience and everything. There’s no explanation for how this is happening, but Darcy and company watched those first three episodes just like we did, credits and all.
Darcy also points out that Vision is supposed to be dead-dead, which leaves his presence in WestView still unexplained.
While Darcy and Jimmy can identity a majority of the neighbors we’ve met in WestView to their real-life counterparts, Dottie and Agnes are the only ones who are missing real information.
It’s revealed that Agent Woo was the voice behind the radio disruption, just as we suspected! But while we can see Wanda and Dottie’s reaction to the call, Darcy’s broadcast didn’t show the same thing. She explains that someone is “censoring” the visuals they’re receiving, which means someone knows they’re watching.
Back in the sitcom WestView, we see that Monica’s slip-up resulted in Wanda blasting her through the house and the energy field. It’s the first time we physically see Wanda using her powers again, so she still has them. But the lapse in her facade has consequences — when Vision returns from his talk with Agnes and Herb outside, Wanda hallucinates him as she last saw him in Infinity War, a corpse with his head crushed in.
It’s important to note that Vision seems to become more aware of the strangeness of their world with each episode. It makes sense because no matter how human he may seem, he’s still a synthezoid who has always been able to see beyond the superficial. It harks back to his “birth” in Age of Ultron. He’s omnipotent and always learning.
When Monica lands back in the real world, all she says is, “It’s all Wanda.” That seemingly serves as an answer to what’s going on in WestView, but it’s not a whole answer. Wanda seems just as confused and unaware as everyone else, but she is willing to stay in her “perfect” world. The question is, who put Wanda in the position to have her perfect world?
  WandaVision Episode 3 Easter Eggs
Much like the comics, Wanda magically becomes pregnant! But this time around, things are progressing much more quickly, and her doctor isn’t Dr. Strange.
The first of the episode’s weird glitches happens with Wanda and Vision’s neighbor Herb, who is attempting to saw through the brick fence separating the two houses instead of trimming his hedges. When Vision points out that his aim has gone a bit askew, Herb’s detached reaction is a bit creepy. He thanks Vision but keeps sawing through the wall! And unlike the previous weird behavior, there’s nothing that triggers the moment, especially not from Vision or Wanda.
Wanda and Vision contemplate what to name their baby boy, with Vision suggesting Billy and Wanda throwing out Tommy. (The argument becomes moot when they have twins!) These are the names of the pair’s sons in the comic, who later become members of the Young Avengers. In the show, Wanda chooses her name because it’s “all-American,” which is also a fair indicator of why her perfect reality is framed around sitcoms. Vision cites William Shakespeare as his inspiration and uses a quote from As You Like It that seems pretty on the nose. “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players” seems like a pointed reference to the fact that WandaVision is, in fact, all a show.
Wanda decorates the nursery using Simser brand paint, which is most likely a nod to Jeremy Simser, a storyboard artist for Marvel Studios and WandaVision.
The second glitch appears when Wanda says the residents of WestView always seem “on the verge of discovering our secret.” Vision has a moment of sobering clarity where he notes that something is wrong in WestView, citing the incidents with Mr. and Mrs. Hart and their neighbor Herb. A second after his says this, reality glitches and the scene starts over with Vision seemingly worry-free. The last time this happened with the beekeeper, it was clear Wanda was the culprit in turning back time, but in this case, she doesn’t seem to do anything to force the change. This suggests someone else is pulling the strings.
Wanda mentions that their child could be human or “synthezoid,” a term that originates in the comics. Although fans like to joke that Vision is an android, he’s technically a synthetic human. He’s not made of metal or machinery — in the comics, his body is composed of the bioengineering tech of Dr. Helen Cho, while in the MCU, he’s made of organic tissue mixed with vibranium and “powered” by the Mind Stone.
Vision jokes that Billy will be just like his mom, which is funny because, in the comics, Billy has magical abilities similar to Wanda’s powers. Tommy ends up having superspeed abilities like his uncle, Pietro.
It’s time for the third commercial! Much like the previous episode’s watch promotion, this break references Hydra — though a tad more directly. It’s all about Hydra Soak, and the message is decidedly more pointed than we’ve had before. “Escape to a world all your own, where your problems float away,” the announcer says. “When you want to get away, but you don’t want to go anywhere: Hydra Soak.” Marvel: Agents of Shield fans will recall that Hydra Soak HAS been mentioned on the show. During the series’s Framework arc, Phil Coulson claims that Hydra is brainwashing people using soap, so he makes his own. Is the commercial another sign that Hydra is behind the mystery of WestView? Is it a warning that no one in the town will be able to get away? And what’s that about finding the goddess within?
The actors in this ad are the same ones as the previous ones, Victoria Blade and Ithamar Enriquez. Their recurring presence might mean they have some significance in Wanda’s life. Maybe they’re her parents?
In what feels like an ominous follow-up to the Hydra Soak commercial, the doctor reveals that he and his wife won’t be taking their trip away after all. “Small towns, you know, so hard to escape,” he mutters, pointedly. I think we’re starting to get the hint, folks! Wanda mentions she is a twin and that her brother was named Pietro. It’s been a hot minute since anyone has talked about MCU’s Quicksilver — he made his debut back in Age of Ultron, the same film in which he was shot and killed.
When Geraldine lets it slip that she knows about Pietro’s death at the hands of Ultron, Wanda interrogates her and discovers her necklace bears a familiar symbol — it’s that damn S.W.O.R.D. logo, and Wanda is apparently not a fan.
In another sign that something is UP, Agnes and Herb seem to warn Vision about Geraldine. They note that she’s “brand new” to town with no family and start to say that “she came here because we’re all —” before they’re cut off. It’s worth noting that the two figures that may be MCU versions of formidable Marvel characters are the ones who seem to understand that strange things are going on in WestView. If Agnes and Herb are the MCU’s Agatha Harkness and High Evolutionary, they would definitely be the ones in the know. But why would they try to warn Vision about Geraldine if WestView is a trap?
Agnes is wearing her infamous brooch as a necklace that could be referencing an MCU supervillain mentioned before. The necklace has three figures close together, with the center figure holding what looks like a giant scythe. Is it another clue that the Grim Reaper is on his way?
Wanda literally throws Geraldine out of town — though she tells Vision that she had to run home — and Geraldine passes through what seems like a magical forcefield. While fans have been assuming WestView is a fake town, this shows us that physically, it’s a very real place. But it’s currently bubbled off with a barrier that Wanda can apparently allow people in and out of. And the song that plays as Geraldine finds herself outside the barrier? “Daydream Believer” by The Monkees. It seems pretty appropriate for a situation that feels like a surreal dream.
When Geraldine lands on the outskirts of real WestView, she’s instantly swarmed by cars and agents all bearing the S.W.O.R.D. logo. Since we know Teyonah Parris is playing the adult Monica Rambeau, it’s safe to assume Geraldine was an alias she used to go undercover in WestView. Combined with the mystery agent watching the show within the show from episode one, we can conclude that Wanda and Vision are being closely observed by S.W.O.R.D. for some reason. But they clearly aren’t the ones in control, since Monica is so easily forced out. What will they do next?
While the opening credits of this episode are a reference to The Brady Bunch, it’s the end credits that give us another clue about the big bad coming our way. Just like the previous episodes, Wanda and Vision are framed in a hexagon as the end credits roll. The symbol is so important because it’s the preferred shape of the creators at Advanced Idea Mechanics, or AIM, who are last seen in Iron Man 3. Remember the beekeeper suits that resemble AIM agents’ clothing? It seems like the evil organization might be making a comeback.
  WandaVision Episode 2 Easter Eggs
The opening credits for this episode aren’t just an adorable homage to Bewitched but a whole bevy of Marvel Easter eggs! The illustration of the moon happens to be surrounded by six stars, and we can’t help but be reminded of the Infinity Gauntlet.
When Vision phases through the floor, there’s a dark shape that looks exactly like the helmet worn by Marvel supervillain Grim Reaper hidden in the space. In the comics, he’s the brother of Wonder Man, whose brainwaves were used in Vision’s creation.
When Wanda goes to the supermarket in the opening, three references hang above the aisle! Bova Milk refers to Bova, the humanoid cow who raised Wanda and Pietro on Mount Wundagore. Auntie A’s kitty litter is a witchy reference to Auntie Agatha or Agatha Harkness, whom we’ve discussed before, and her cat-like familiar named Ebony. And Wonder Mints is most definitely a cheeky reference to Wonder Man, aka Simon Williams, the superhero who Vision’s brainwaves are based on in the comics!
When animated Wanda and Vision settle on their couch, the small figure on their side table is a statue of the Whizzer. Featured in 1982’s Vision and the Scarlet Witch, the Whizzer thought he was Wanda’s father but later discovers he was wrong. Whizzer and his wife were offered the chance to adopt Wanda and Pietro when they were kids on the mythical Mount Wundagore, but they declined.
When Wanda hears a crash outside the house, she heads out to the front, where she finds a colorful toy helicopter in an otherwise black-and-white world. Not only does the red-and-yellow helicopter have the number 57 stamped on it, but it also bears the S.W.O.R.D symbol! The number is likely in reference to Vision’s first appearance in Avengers #57, while the symbol hints to the presence of S.W.O.R.D outside Wanda’s perfect world.
The creepy, cult-like refrain spoken by the fundraiser organizers of it all being “for the children” seems to be a reference to Wanda’s involvement in the comic event The Children’s Crusade. The story follows her son, Billy, who’s trying to gain control over his reality-warping abilities by looking for a missing Wanda.
Well, here’s another blast from the angsty past! The Strücker timepiece is a very obvious callback to Hydra and Baron von Strücker. The watch bears the unmistakable octopus skull symbol of Hydra, and Strücker is the Hydra leader who recruited Pietro and Wanda for the experimentation that gave them powers. He was later killed by Ultron in his prison cell. Does anyone else hear that ticking noise? Remember good ol’ Herb? In the comics, a character named Herbert is also the High Evolutionary who runs Mount Wundagore, the very same safe haven where Bova delivered the Maximoff twins. Time will tell if the super-scientist is the same character, but it can’t be a coincidence.
Wanda and Vision’s magic show has two gems that we’ve noticed! First thing, the literal Mind Stone happens to be the design on the doors of the Cabinet of Mystery that plays a huge part in their act. Second, Wanda and Vision use the names Illusion and Glamour for their actor, which are also the names of the magicians that Vision goes to see in an issue of The Vision and the Scarlet Witch.
Though we all enjoy a good jam, The Beach Boys’ “Help Me, Rhonda” gets interrupted by someone asking, “Who’s doing this to you, Wanda?” And doesn’t that voice sound an awful lot like Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo?
While it may seem weird that Wanda shows her pregnancy in an instant, it’s in line with what goes on in the comics. Wanda uses magic to help her have children, which checks out since her husband is a synthezoid.
Oooh, that mysterious beekeeper! Not only does their presence lead to the reveal that Wanda has some control over the reality they’re in, but it also sets off some alarm bells. Even though the beekeeper’s suit bears the S.W.O.R.D logo on the back, the costume is reminiscent of the yellow costumes worn by A.I.M., a military science organization founded by Baron von Strücker. Could this be a sign that Wanda is being watched by more than one organization? And is this a hint that Hydra is back!? (Obviously, it is.)
  WandaVision Episode 1 Easter Eggs
When Wanda accidentally smashes a plate into Vision’s head, he jokes about his wife and her “flying saucers,” and she comments back about his “indestructible head.” Considering that Vision died after having the Mind Stone ripped from his head, it’s a dark joke to kick off the series.
Vision’s work tie has a visual reference to his comic-book alter ego! In Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta’s Vision, whenever the character dresses as a human, he wears a tie clip that emulates the diamond pattern on his chest.
Vision’s boss, Mr. Hart, is likely named after comic creator Steve Englehart, who created 1985’s The Vision and the Scarlet Witch with Richard Howell, a miniseries that heavily influenced WandaVision. It’s been heavily implied that Kathryn Hahn’s Agnes is the MCU’s Agatha Harkness, a witch who helped train Wanda’s magic back in the ’70s and ’80s.
When Wanda magically saves dinner, the bottle of wine she pours from is Maison du Mépris, which translates to house of contempt or scorn. As fans have pointed out since the trailer drop, this seems like a reference to the House of M comics storyline in which Wanda bends reality into a new world ruled by her family.
The Stark commercial break refers to two things: Avengers icon Tony Stark and his part in Wanda’s dark past. As Wanda and her twin brother, Pietro, explain in Avengers: Age of Ultron, their parents were killed by an explosive Stark Industries device, leaving the twins trapped under rubble. The Maximoffs were trapped by a Stark Industries shell for two days, expecting it to detonate before they get rescued. Even though Wanda eventually fights beside Tony in the future, there’s still some trauma from that experience and her brother’s death. If it weren’t for the Starks, Wanda could have been a completely different person.
The episode closes with a mysterious observer watching the “show” and taking notes on a pad with the logo of S.W.O.R.D. on the cover. For those who don’t know, S.W.O.R.D stands for Sentient World Observation and Response Department and is a subdivision of S.H.I.E.L.D. It’s a counterterrorism and intelligence agency that deals with extraterrestrial threats to world security. Expect to see them around more.

WV1: PARALLELS
Parallels, Callbacks, Foreshadowing...
SUPER LONG POST!
PARALLELS, CALLBACKS, REFERENCES
...WITHIN WV + MCU + TO OTHER TV/FILM
Wanda/SW doing “astral projection” - reading a book while “another her” is making tea at the same time VS Dr. Srange astral projecting himself in his film as he was studying.
Wanda sitting on the porch in the countryside after everyone calls her a villain after her actions VS Thanos in his countryside cottage after the snap. Smilar aesthetic VS Hulk going to a cottage in the middle of nowhere at the end of rhe 2008 film to reflect on the damge he did + learn about his powers.
Wanda vs Agatha VS Tony vs Thanos: Agatha cheering that she has won, ready to direct her power (Wanda’s power she “drank”) against/at Wanda & then nothing happens has the exact same energy as 2014-Thanos snapping and just the hollow noise happening... The realization of the villain that their opponent has outsmarted them, using tricks (”magic”) - misdirection. If you’re not powerful enough or don’t have as much knowledge as the other, you can still win...because misdirection works. All those powerful & evil characters have one thing in common = they think they are “inevitable”, but they always fall for the tricks played on them. In here knowledge is not “power”, but weakness as it overboosts the villains confidence. Flourish!
I want to break free... Hex Vision wanting to get out of the hex & free from Wanda’s “mind control” (she can’t control him, but she tried). He wants to find answers, and help people in 1x06 VS White Vision after regaining his memories (but most likely not his soul & humanity & connection to Wanda) wants to get away, to break free of Hayward’s mind control (hence letting other Vision unlock his memories). He most likely wants to find answers, and help himself & others....
In ep 2 Vision's (stage name: Illusion) magician in their magic act uses the word "Flourish"" as his magic word [instead of abracadabra] before/after every trick VS In 1x09 Jimmy Woo says "Flourish!" after he uses the magician trick (he learned from Scott Lang) to free himself from cuffs. It is a reference to Jimmy watching "WandaVision" & hearing Vision say that because, as WAnda points out, you don't say the word out loud when doing your magic tricks. Hence it’s not a reference to just Jimmy being a magician..since Antman film, but to that ep 2.
In episode 2 Vision as "Illusion" wears a cape as part of his magician outfit VS part of the real Vision's outfit is a cape! (that he originally added to his costume in AoU after seeing Thor’s costume & cape)
The show starts with Wanda & Vision arriving to WV in 1950s as characters & doing everything they can to hide their identity and powers from everyone. Being afraid that everyone finds out about their secret... [until they start to realize that somethings wrong & what Wanda did...] VS The whole family walking through WV as themselves...in their superhero outfits. Not hiding the true selves from anyone. Coming in terms of who they are. Works both as MCU development & reference to sitcom development of how “ideals” have been portrayed on screen.
Wanda's birthing screams & energy spending: Wanda "giving birth" to Vision in ep 8 flashback VS Wanda giving birth to the twins in ep 3. I feel like in a way her subconcious was reminding her of the "birthing pains".
Wanda mind controlling Agatha - giving her “nightmares” in WV ep 1x09 = is so similar to how she mindcontrolled Tony in AoU...giving him “nightmares”. Sneaking up on them...  VS what Agatha did to Wanda in ep 8 looked similar...she “mind contolled her” and showed her a story...she wanted her to see (her origins...) Both mentioned that it was easy to do, because the controlled person was so full of doubts that it didn’t tke anything to make them “see things”...
Vision telling Wanda in a past film that he wants everyone to see her the way he does (the way Monica does in WV) - that she is not simply a villain, not someone to be afraid of like the WV people are after the hex, as the world was after Lagos... VS The Hex! Vision telling her that "I just wanted to see you” & “and there you are”... at the beginning of their goodbye scene as the hex goes down...
Wanda & Visions final goodbye scene being them standing in front of a window ...the end of their journey together VS The Wanda/Vision scene in Scotland...the first scene that reveals their relationship to viewers...is also of them standing in front of the window...  Visual Parallels
WV series setting up the next decade/phase looks a lot like IM  films setting up first decade/phase. Both more character centered & more character driven spries & journeys. Personally...my favourite kind. WV setting up Wandas journey VS IM setting up Tony’s journey. Question is... will she choose the “hero” or the “villain” path. Go Tony’s route, or opposite? Time will tell.
In ep 9 when Wanda throws a car at Agatha & goes to check on her, we only see her/the witches boots under the car VS The classic image of the Wicked Witch of the West’s boots/shoes under the rubble in Wizard of Oz.
Visions co-worker, Jones says: "I wore a turtleneck" in episode 1x02, when Mr. Hart is firing him VS Vision wearing a turtleneck as they say goodbye to the kids & to one another in 1x09
In ep 8 flashback to the day Wanda arrived at Westview, and was driving throgh the town, she saw the people she cast in supporting roles in her show. Among them was Jones' (Harold), who was putting up an add on the billboard about teaching piano lessons VS In ep 2 Jones was playing the piano during his performance on the talent show.
Wanda driving through WestView as she first arives in reality - the town & the people seem in a non-happy state (people alone & depressed, town in ruins, she alone) in 1x08 flashback VS Wanda & Vision driving through WestView as they first arrive in the TV freality (everyone fake-happy & not alone, buildings & businesses flourishing  in 1x01
Vision as the magician Illusion using the phrase "fllourish!" for his magic tricks (that Agatha messes up & Wanda corrects) in the TV-freality in 1x02 VS Wanda after seeing the state of the town & people (that to her seem like her own experience) making the place flourish (alive again)! in1x08 flashback
In episode 1  Agatha introduces Wanda to the womens magazine named "Glamorous" as there is an article there about "seduction tecniques". They read the article/magazine together...Agnes plan to trick Wanda into creating kids VS In episode 3 we see Wanda reding the same magazine (but a different edition...now from 1970s) as she relaxes on the sofa while the hoover is cleaning the house by itself. [PS. The title of the womens magazine in eps 1 & 3 nd Wandas stage name Glamour in ep 2 are actually references to the words other meaning... magic]
In 1x01 Vision tells his boss Mr. Hart that no, he does not have a skeleton, when he's asked if he has a skeleton in his closet VS In the 1x02 sitcom opening credits we see Vision go through walls & floor/ceiling. As he moves downstairs from the closet we see wht appears to be a spider/a villains mask & spiderwebs there. And... bones.
When Monica blips back in the 1x04 flashback scene she encounters a doctor/person in the hallway who says to her "Do you have a phone? I have to call my wife" VS In episode 1x05, when Vision unlocks Norm's mind from Wanda's control, one of the things he says is "Where's my phone? I have to call my sister. (She's taking care of our dad. He's sick)." [and we remember fro Endgame that after being bipped back everyone wanted to call their loved ones...as the 1st thing they did...]
Wanda throwing a car, her car, at Agatha (when she can't use her power directly againt her) to stop her in 1x09 VS Wanda throwing a car at Iron Man/Tony in CA:CW to stop him.
In ep 8 Agatha tells Wanda "And here you are (making breakfast for dinner)"  VS In ep 9 Vision tells Wanda at the start of their final goodbye scene "And there you are."
In ep 1 the Harts comment that Wanda made "breakfast for dinner" when they see the food prepared for this surprise event VS In ep 8 when Agatha is holding the twins on a leash she mocks Wanda for using her super powers on simple things like that, saying "...and here you are making breakfast for dinner"
In 1x01 Vision saves the day by calling Wanda covering the bosses eyes with her hands " a traditional sokovian greeting" when she thinks she's welcoming her husband home VS in the 1x08  flashback to her childhood we see that her mother covers her eyes with her hands the same way. Yet another subconcious detail from her real life.
We learned during the ep 8 flashback to her childhood that Wanda’s powers manifested (probability hex) at age 10. It mightve been the first time she “properly” used her magic abilities  VS When Billy & Tommys powers manifesting (Billy: mind reading + “seeing the future” & Tommy: speed) in more concrete way when they are 10 -year-olds... PS. 10 = X (roman numerals) = X-gene (mutants)
In ep 1 Wanda says “my husband and his indestructible head” (as a comic lline)...but VS Vision’s destructed head... aka Thanos ripping the Mind Stone out of Vision’s head in 3: IW, and in doing so “destructing his head” PS. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME TO ADD THIS ONE, @ecstaticreverie
Ms. Hart keeps saying "Stop it!" (with more & more concerned voice) as Mr. Hart chokes in 1x01 VS Wanda keeps saying "Stop it!" (with more & more concerned voice) when she sees Visions body being dismantled...like a machine in the 1x08 flashback.
The Mind-Stone shape: The hexagonal shape of the Mind Stone in Vision’s head VS The shape of the Mind stone painted on the “cabinet of mysteries” in ep 2 used for their magic act VS The mind’stone shaped detail in the center of Wanda’s new Scarlet Witch costume’s “collar”  PS. THANKS FOR REMINDING ME TO ADD THIS ONE, @ecstaticreverie
During the 1x08 flashback scene to a time  after the events of A1: AoU we see Vision enter Wanda's room at the Avengers compund through the wall, instead of the door, d then they have a meaningful conversation about grief. VS In the movie CA:CW we see Vision enter her room through the wall...instead of the open door... as Wanda & Steve are talking about the events of Lagos...This is where Wanda says "Vis, we've talked about this [entering though door instead a wall]"
During the ep 3 sitcom opening credits we see Vision build a swingset for the kids-to-be, but it falls apart VS During the ep 8 flashback therapy scene at Avengers compound Wanda & Vision are watching Bryan Cranstons character on a sitcom on TV build something & it falls apart (falls on him, hurting him...and Vision asks qhy it's funny)
Vision quoting Shakespeare in WV 1x02: “All the world’s a stage & all the men & women merely players..” VS a role in a Shakespeare play  mention related to Trevor Slattery in IM3
In ep 4 one of the specialists in the truck tells Darcy (after she tries to question him) "We'e not supposed to talk" VS In ep 7 Wanda tells the director/person [Agatha all along] behind the camera "You’re not supposed to talk", when during her sitcom a voice from behind the camera replies to her.
Darcy’s fist & last scene had similar energy. We first see Darcy in a militay vehicle, on the way to the hex base. She comments that “we got a full cown car”, when she realizes they’re bringing on top experts from every field. VS When Wanda’s expanding hex traps the base everything is turned into a circus...and agents into clowns etc. VS Darcy uses the “clown car” to stop Hayward. She rams his military vehicle as he tries to flee with the funnel ytruck/clown car (it’s changed shape, but since it in reality the same kind of miitary vehicle it can stop Haywards car)
In ep 5 Hayward "shoots" at the kids & Wanda, when he lets his guys take over the drone Monica is using & fires a weapon at the family VS In ep 9 Hayward actually shoots  the kids (from a gun), when Wanda puts the twins in charge of dealing with the military.
Hayward asking Jimmy about Wanda’s superhero name in ep 5: “No funny nickname?” VS "...and that makes you The Scarlett Witch" - Agatha "giving" her the funny superhero nickname in 1x08. Only...in this context it seems more like royal title than a superhero nickname.
Wanda giving Vision the meat tenderizer (it looks like a small hammer) & him holding it in WV ep 1x01 VS Vision lifting & giving Thor's hammer (Mjölnir) to Thor in A2: AoU
Episode 1 ends with Wanda creating wedding rings for them..from "nothing" VS Episode 9 ends with the wedding ring on her finger being the last thing that disappears after she's taken down the hex & "re-absorbed" the energy of the Mind Stone she created him from. We can still see the ring on her finger a moment after the yellow has disappeared...and then that's gone, too
The newstories on the screens et SWORD lobby are all about the snapped people being blipped back & families reunited & celebrating etc during both Wanda's visit we see in ep 8 flashback AND Monica's visit we see in ep 4 flashback. [Wanda's visit happened earlier, but the door had been replaced before Monica's visit... that had to be next day...no later]
During a flashback memory scene in ep 8 to a time when Wanda was a volunteer for Hydra we see her watching a tv show/sitcom "The Brady Bunch" on TV where a little girl with blonde hair in braids is putting her doll to sleep VS In episode 3 when Vision on practicing changing diapers he's doing it on a (girl) doll with braids..tied with similar red bows as the girl/character on TV. The same exact doll.
Wakanda is located inside a giant protective dome/bubble - an "invisible" energy field protects it & the barrier stops intruders VS Wanda creates a giant protective dome/bubble (hex-shaped) around WestView - an "invisible" energy field that stops people from entering or exiting...
The “fallen/hurt/dying pose” parallels: Vision in A3: IW after Thanos killed him VS Vision in WV ep 1x06/1x07 after exiting the hex & falling apart VS Monica in WV ep 1x03 /1x04 after being thrown out from the hex VS Nat in A4:E after falling on Vormir… #VisualParallels
When Agnes introduces hersef to the new neighbours she brings a plants as a housewarming gift in WV episode 1x01 VS This is the first things that glitches in episode 1x07 as Wanda “loses control” of reality
SNAPS: "Sugar Snaps" is the name of the breakfast cereal Wanda eats in 1x07 VS  “SNAP” is part of the add on the billboard in WV 1x08 flashback scene when the hex take sover the city VS  Thanos snapping his fingers in A3: IW & wiping half of he universe "out of existence" VS  Agatha snaps her fingers in 1x08 when she disappears from the audience seats VS In ep 1 Agnes says that “this menu can be done in a snap” to Wanda
The heart drawn on the wall calendar on the date Friday, August 23rd was an abbreviation & was referring to Vision's boss & his wife coming to dinner in 1x01... when neither could remember the significance of the heart or date. Also... "Who needs to abbreviate?" (when theyre both superheroes) VS The heart Vision drew on the property deed of the land he bought for them. Next to the text "to grow old in" - V. (abbreviating his name) in the 1x08 flshback VS The heart on the calendar on the Date Wednesday the 10th in the opening credits for Wandas sitcom freality in 1x07 VS The heart on top of a building in the 1x02 episode sitcom intro
In ep 8 flashback Wanda says "I can't feel you", when he cannot read/feel Vision & the Mind stone (connection) as she is trying to connect to the dissected parts of Visions physical form/body VS In A3:IW when Wanda is trying to read the Mind Stone during the scene at the hotel in Scotland, she says "I just feel you" (not what the stone is trying to warm him about) VS In A3: IW as Wanda is about to destroy the Mind Stone & Vision along with it, he tels her to not worry, cause she could never hurt her, and adds "I just feel you"
In ep 9 when Wanda meets White Vision he puts his hands around Wanda's face, and she in her delusion expects that this is  her Vision & he's just doing "their thing" (when they can share a "mindstone link" like that), but instead this machine starts squeezing her face/skull...because it has been given the order to destroy/kill Wanda VS In the end of episode 9 as Wanda & Hex Vision are saying goodbye she puts her hands around his face (doing "their thing"...trying to feel him as long as possible...as his face is the last thing to disappear with the hex) and doing so lovingly.
In ep 7 Monica lands the "hero landing" after Wanda "throws" her into the air VS In  ep 9 Wanda lands the "hero landing" when Hex Vision attacks White Vision who is trying to crush Wanda's skull VS In ep 9 Hex Vision lands the "hero landing" when both visions fall to the gground & create a crater into a road.
In the ep 8 flashback Wanda descibes her grief as "I'm so tired. It's just ike this wave washing over me...again & again.  It knocks me down, and when I try to stand up, it just comes for me again. And...its just gonna drown me." to Vision VS Monica describing the feeling she felt under Wanda's mind control in the hex as "There was this feeling keeping me down. This hopeless feeling. Like drowning. It was grief."
When Vision was born in AoU he flew to the window....and saw  reflection of himself. This is how his journey in MCU in this form began  VS The scene with Wanda & Vision saying goodbye by the window in ep 9 starts with Vision moving to the window (before Wanda joins him) to look at the hex world shrinking outside & seeing his own reflection on the glass). His last scene in this form was a direct parallel to his first scene(s).  #visualparallels
Wanda & Vision saying goodbye...to say hello again some time & some place at the end of WV 1x09 (the scene by the window is similar to the scene we were introduced to the couple) VS Wanda & Vision at the beginning of A3: IW having a conversation by the window, in Scotland (the "I just feel you" scene)  #visualparallels
In episode 2 when the sitcom world goes from b&w to colour, the camera circles around Wanda & Vision...making a 360 degree trip around the room VS In episode 9 as Wanda & Hex Vision are saying their final goodbyes in the saem living room the camera circles around them...doing several 360 degree circles around the room...as Wanda/the hex takes down the house layer/decade by layer/decade...  #visualparallels
Wanda & Vision family watching TV  every night before going to bed in Wanda's TV freality on WV VS Wanda watching TV with her family in Sokovia - the last happy memory before trauma hit her (1x08 flashback scene) VS Wanda & Vision first bonding at the Avengers compound whilw watching TV together (1x08 flashback scene). He's learning "being human" with her help & she's learning about dealing with her trauma.
In ep 8, when Agatha takes down the "walk on memory lane" illusion & Wanda finds herself in her basement, she hears her twins [Billy & Tommy] calling for her "Mom!" because Agatha has kidnapped them... VS In the post end credits scene when we see Wanda make herself a cup of tea + read the Darkhold at the same time, we/she hears her twins [Billy & Tommy] call for her "Mom!" It is not revealed if she's just having a "nightmare" of that moment from ep 8 or is she imagining it, or is she hearing them for real...calling from somewhere [other dimension]
Vision's plan was for them to move from big city to a small town, build a house & start a family/life together. Grow old together (even if he as a synthezoid presumbly doesn't grow old like Wanda as human would. Though maybe his human form could & perhaps she as  Nexus being/witch can/will live for centuries..but they didn't know it back then?) as he had planned their life together in IW (making me suspicious if they got engaged or something...) as revealed in WV 1x08 flashback to the property deed that lead Wanda to WestView VS Wanda creating a sitcom world where decades change...she literally created an alternate reality where they live his plan for them..they grow old together..in a small town... as seen throughout the WV show...
Wanda seeing Vision dressed as the WV character, but looking exactly like when he died in A3: IW w. the mindstone ripped out... in WV 1x04 VS Wanda seeing Fietro dressed as the WV character, but looking exactly like when he died in A2AoU w. the bulletholes in the shirt in WV 1x06 VS Peter seeing Tony as an Iron-Zombie rising from the grave in the illusion Mysterio created to play tricks on him in SM2: FFH
Wanda seen as "evil” by her castmates..when she thought she did nothing wrong. She did not understand her power & as a byproduct she hurt others...unintentionaly & unknowingly...and now seen as the villian by WV people & world...more.   VS Agatha seen as bad by her coven...when she thought she did nothing wrong. But she was messing with power that she didn’t fully understand. The question here is will Wanda’s journey ahead copy Agathas or will it be the opposite? Will she choose to go toward “good” or “evil” path? Agatha’s own mother did not believe she could be good. “I can be good.” / “No you cant.” Wanda had Vision, who had always seen the good in her & she had Monica, who could she the good in her, too. As Vision once said: “I wish to understant it (the Mind Stone). The more I understand it, the less it controls me.” If we adopt this to Wanda & replace stone with her power, this is a powerful lesson...that she’s carrying  his message within her. He keeps being her moral compass even if not physically there...the memories remain. Vision’s "Be good, Wanda.” combined with the other truths he’s told her as her moral compass might and possibly will help her learn from Agatha’s mistakes. Because at the end of WV she chose the ”good side”, like Tony did at the end of IM. So I see them not copying her journey from comics, but making it a bit different. While in Agatha the book overpowered her, Wanda will overpower the book. Time wlll tell which route they actually chose for her.   Wanda & Agatha - analysis TBA
Wanda in WV finale...as her character journey starts saying “you don’t get to say who I am... I decide that” mimics Tony’s character journey start, when he says “I am Iron Man” - he makes the decision to decide who he is, define himself (everyone was caling him a superhero, Iron Man...but he then took how everyone perceived him in his new role & made it his own). VS Carols’ origin story - she chose to “stand up” & define herself VS Monica’s origins story - she decided who she was & didnt let the Hex chnge her. VS  What we see with (White) Vision also references this kind of, cause this new re-born Vision comes to a realization on who he is "I am Vision” Wanda & Tony - analysis TBA
THE END
There are many more, but those are the ones I first noticed & the ones I remembered to write down.

Finding Family: Part Five: Epilogue
Summary: When America begins universe-hopping again to try and find her moms, she realizes that’s too much scope for her.  She looks for smaller scope, and instead she finds Wanda.
AO3
Common symptoms of depression, as defined by the Mayo Clinic in the years leading up to the Snap:
·        “Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness
·        Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters
·        Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities…
·        Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much
·        Tiredness and lack of energy…
·        Reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food
·        Anxiety, agitation or restlessness
·        Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements
·        Feelings of worthlessness or guilt…
·        Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things
·        Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide
·        Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches”
Scarlet never needed the list to tell her that she was depressed.  She’d known the first time she’d seen the word, known that it labeled something intrinsic deep within her, known that if she checked yes next to that box on her volunteer form Hydra would shuffle her off somewhere else and so had never checked it, known that admitting it to anyone wasn’t a weakness – she wasn’t weak for being depressed, and she still isn’t – but that it was a vulnerability, a dressing down of walls she’d put into place to keep herself from getting hurt.
Pietro knew because she told him.  Vision knew because he guessed, although they never discussed it because she’d been better with him.  Nat knew because she told her – the only one of the Avengers she’d even told – and Clint knew because he’d seen some of the same signs in her that he’d seen in himself.  Tony….
Maybe, if he’d been around, they might have been able to discuss some of their commonalities, but he was never around.
Funny, how many of the Avengers had been—
Scarlet has only ever brought her depression up with two people.  It’s gone largely undiagnosed because she’d never had the money for therapy before becoming an Avenger, never really felt like reaching out when she was one and dealing with her grief over Pietro, and never really considered the possibility after Westview, although perhaps she should have.
It is strange to her, then, when it comes up with Agatha early one morning, while it is still dark outside of her window, stars just peeking through a thin cover of clouds.
~
It’s been bothering Scarlet, actually, since she brought Agatha back, although she’s never made a point of asking before.  “Why is it,” she murmurs as she slides from atop her and rolls onto her back, “that you don’t call me Scarlet?”  She pushes her hair back from where it’s fallen messily into her face.  “Everyone else does.”
“Oh, so this is going to be the post-sex talk.  Riveting topic you’ve chosen there, hon.”  One corner of Agatha’s lips curves in something akin to a smirk.  She curls onto her side and props her head up on one hand.  “Being petty at first, I suppose.” Her eyes stare off to the upper left as she considers, not really focusing on anything.  “But it never really fit for you, dear.”  She shrugs.  “Why Scarlet anyway?  You had the whole realm of names and you picked, well, that.”  That same corner of her lips turns upward in disgust.  “You could have chosen so much better, babe.”
Scarlet gives her a look of disbelief.  “Oh, really?” she says.  “You mean like Agnes?”  She catches the way Agatha flinches but continues anyway, “I would have been Wandoff.  Or Maxida. Or—”
“Stop,” Agatha interrupts.  “You’re killing me, Smalls.”  She rolls her eyes, but the look she gives Scarlet is exceptionally fond. “Not everyone has a perfectly combinable name like Agatha Harkness.  Although I suppose I could have used Hartha, hm?”
Scarlet snorts.  “I would never have believed you.  Never.  Not in one million years.  That is a horrible name.”
“Good thing I didn’t use it then.”
It would be nice, in this moment, for Agatha to kiss her.  Vision would have, and that would have been the end of the conversation.  In another universe, Agatha must kiss her.  That’s how it is with the multiverse.
But in this universe, Agatha doesn’t kiss her, as she must know that Scarlet wants, doesn’t begin a gentle return to what they were doing only moments earlier.  Instead, she asks again, “Why Scarlet? It’s not a particularly appealing name, hon.”
“I’m the Scarlet Witch,” Scarlet says, looking away from Agatha and situating her covers a little more warmly around her.  “It felt apt. And….”  She hesitates and curls her lips together before continuing. “After we saved Ash, Kate – you know Kate—”
“Yes, yes, Wendy’s little friend with the arrows.”  Agatha turns one finger in the air, beckoning Scarlet to continue.  “Keep going.”
Scarlet takes a breath in, steels herself.  “She told me, before the Snap, that there were…that she was part of a group of kids who were obsessed with us.  With the Avengers.  They got all of the information they could on us.  Tried to track us down when there were fights.  Collected tidbits.  Stuff like that.”  She sighs. “Kate was obsessed with Clint, obviously, but her friend Scarlet was obsessed with me, and when I disappeared after the Sokovian Accords….”  Her voice trails off, and her brow furrows as her eyes seem to search the empty air in front of her.  “There was a fight going on – something with Scott – and she went down to try and find me, even though I wasn’t there, and she….”  She bites her lower lip.  “She died.  But she never should have been there in the first place,” she continues immediately after saying it, rambling, as though to cover it up.  “Children shouldn’t run into war zones looking for heroes and expecting that they’ll just be there to save them all the time.  It ends up getting people hurt.  It ends up getting people killed.”  Her gaze moves, slow, to Agatha.  “You understand that, don’t you?”
“I understand that you named yourself with guilt and self-hatred and not with an adorable pun, like you should have.”  Agatha sighs. “Scarlet could have been a good pun, but no, just—”  She gestures with her free hand at Scarlet.  “—this.”  With a little huff, she leans against the pillows and tenderly brushes her fingers through Scarlet’s hair.  “Depression doesn’t look good on you, hon.”
Scarlet flinches, avoids Agatha’s gaze.  “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Of course, you don’t.”  Agatha lifts a strand of Scarlet’s hair, smoothes it between her fingertips.  “You wouldn’t know anything about being tired or trying to get multiple people to kill you or carrying around your guilt like it’s some huge burden that makes you, oh, I don’t know, worthless.”  She sits up a little straighter.  “Makes you not good enough.  Deserving of infinite punishment.  Hon.”
“Agatha,” Scarlet begins, glancing up at her, “I believe you were there when I put a whole town under mind control.  You’ve no doubt heard what I did under the Darkhold’s influence—”
Agatha gives her a very pointed look.  “Your worst decision there was reading the book, babe.  Half of that stuff you – I – wouldn’t have done without—”
“How do you not feel guilty?” Scarlet interrupts, staring at her.  “How do you not feel like you should be punished?  Like you should die?”
For a moment, Agatha doesn’t say anything.  The silence lingers, and as it does, Scarlet begins to grow uncomfortable, although she doesn’t take her questions back.  Besides, the avoidance is answer enough.  Maybe that’s what’s really making her unsettled.
Then Agatha lets out a breath and smiles, wistful.  “I was like you once, dear,” she says, finally.  “Couple hundred years ago or so.  And I thought….”  She chuckles darkly.  “It doesn’t matter what I thought.  What does matter is that someone a few hundred years older than I was decided to be kind enough to step in and save me.”
Scarlet scowls and crosses her arms.  “I don’t need you to save me.”
“No, Wanda, you don’t.”  Agatha snorts lightly.  Her eyes search Scarlet’s.  “No, hon, you want me for something else entirely.”  Now she does lean down, gently pressing an unchaste kiss to her lips.  “I don’t mind being used for this,” she murmurs, “but I’m not going to call you Scarlet, hon.  Don’t think anyone else should either, since it’s just part of your guilt complex, but—”
Scarlet doesn’t let her finish, instead leaning up to silence her with another kiss, curling her fingers on the nape of her neck.  “Wanda’s fine,” she murmurs.  “Let’s not talk about it again.”
~
Three days later, Scarlet wakes up to find that Agatha isn’t there.
She stretches out her hand to the space behind her, expecting Agatha to be curled up and just facing the other direction, but there’s nothing, not even the warmth she would have left behind if she’d only gotten up a few moments earlier. This isn’t completely unusual; Agatha is restless and has a tendency to wake long before Scarlet does, although most of the time she returns to bed within a matter of moments, with a book or a cup of tea – or two cups of tea, idling keeping Scarlet’s warm with a twisting of her fingers while her mind is preoccupied with something else.  It is unusual for her to be gone so long.
Scarlet sits up in bed, and before she can turn to see where Agatha might have gone, she notices her outside, standing in the apple orchard, a familiar mulberry carpetbag covered with muted gold paisley resting in one hand.  Almost as though feeling her gaze, Agatha turns back to her and lifts one hand in a little wave.
Then she disappears in a cloud of purple smoke, laced through with tendrils of charcoal.
Immediately, Scarlet gets out of bed, shifts clothes onto herself – she’s not really paying attention to what clothes, so they’re a little mismatched, jeans are fine, cream-colored sweater is fine, two different tennis shoes are less fine – and rushes down the stairs.  No one else is awake, or if they are, they aren’t in the living room and they certainly haven’t talked to Agatha (unfortunate for her that Agnes and Ash left, because usually one or both of them had been up first thing in the morning, setting breakfast or just talking with each other over mugs of something warm while they waited on everyone else to wake), which means no one else knows 1) that she’s gone or 2) where she might possibly be going.  She pushes through the front door, hears it slam shut behind her, and then notices something out of the corner of her eye: Agatha, sitting at the rickety old table where she once met with America, sipping at a lavender-colored mug of coffee, one hand resting on that same mulberry carpetbag where it rests on the table.
“Good of you to join me, dear,” Agatha says as she meets Scarlet’s eyes. She pats the seat next to her, where a rosy-colored mug rests just on the table in front of it.  “We should have a little talk.”
Scarlet raises an eyebrow, notices that her shoes are two different sorts, and subtly fixes them before sliding into the other chair.  She wraps her hands around the mug, warming them with it. “You scared me,” she spits out, still staring at Agatha.  “I thought you were gone—”
“Well, that was the point, wasn’t it, hon?”  Agatha’s glance drops, and she takes another sip of her coffee before calmly saying, “I think it’s time that I leave.  Take a vacation, if you will.”
Scarlet splutters on the sip she’d attempted of her chamomile tea.  “Leave?” she echoes.  Then she laughs.  “No, no, no, you’re not going anywhere—”
“You’ll find, dear, that I will be going whether you like it or not.” There’s something firm underlying Agatha’s voice – not bitter, not angry, not even menacing, though it sets Scarlet’s heart to racing.  Just there all the same.  “You’ve kept me locked up for long enough now, and I....”  She sighs, gazing out at the orchard in front of them, the apple trees that are just beginning to blossom.  “It’s beautiful here, hon, it really is, but I was not made to be cooped up in one place for so long.”
Instinctively, Scarlet pulls an orb of chaotic magic into her free hand. “Agatha, I can’t trust that you’ll—” She cuts herself off as Agatha glances over to her.  It’s the first time she’s seen something dead there, something dying, hopeless.  She taes a deep breath in.  “If you hurt someone, then I’ll be responsible.”
Agatha snorts, and her accompanying smile doesn’t reach her eyes. “Hon, you’d never even heard of me before Westview, and you only did then because I took pity on you and introduced myself.”
“You have a funny way of showing pity—”
“My point,” Agatha continues, cutting Scarlet off, “is that you didn’t hear about me before, so you wouldn’t hear about me now.”  She glances over to her.  “Or is there another reason you don’t want me to leave?”
“No.”  The word is through Scarlet’s lips before she can consider any other option, and she crosses her arms, leans back against the chair, and refuses to meet Agatha’s eyes. “No other reason.”
Agatha nods.  Then she stands, leans over and kisses Scarlet’s cheek gently.  “Don’t worry, starlight.  I’ll be back before you know it.”  She grabs her carpetbag.
Scarlet’s eyes widen, and she looks up.  “Back?”
“Of course.  I wasn’t planning on going away forever, babe.  You clearly need someone of my unique capabilities here to take care of you.” Agatha gingerly reaches over, cards her fingers gentle through Scarlet’s hair.  “Someone to remind you that Wanda is a much better name than Scarlet—”
“Hey—”
Agatha smiles with the barest tinge of regret.  “Unless, of course, you don’t want me to come back.  I wouldn’t want to outstay my welcome, hon.”
Scarlet sits up a little straighter, takes Agatha’s hand out of her hair, and kisses her knuckles.  “You will always have a home here, Agatha.  You’re family now.  The kids would miss you if you never came back.”  She scowls.  “They think you’re the best history teacher they’ve ever seen.  And without Ash here to teach Billy magic….”  Her voice trails off.  “You’d better come back, Agatha Harkness.”
At first, it seems like Agatha will reach down and kiss her again or pull her up and kiss her or something and kiss her, but she doesn’t.  Instead, she lets Scarlet’s hand drop from hers, barely taking the time to rub her thumb along her knuckles before doing so, and then smiles.  “I wouldn’t dream of staying away too long, Wanda.”
Then, as before, the violet cloud threaded through with black, and Agatha is gone.
~
Evenings at Scarlet’s house are, in her unprofessional opinion, the best part of the day.
Wendy still spends most of her days as she did before, curled up somewhere and quietly reading, although every now and again she will pull out a journal and write something in it.  Sometimes it’s a new bedtime story she is crafting for Billy and Tommy, and sometimes it’s a spell that she’s still trying to figure out the best runes or incantations for – not that she needs them, as a fellow Scarlet Witch, but because she likes to have them, to fiddle with parts of witchcraft that give a better foundation for the magic she can so easily call forth.
Oftentimes, America is with Wendy, sitting close enough that Wendy can idly stroke her hands along America’s hair as she reads, close enough that, if she feels the need, she can stretch up and press an easy kiss to Wendy’s cheek.  But more often than not, America spends her days elsewhere, traversing the multiverse just to see the different versions and varieties of things she can find.  She always brings something back from her journeys – a trinket, a bag, a toy – to share with everyone, although she makes a point to stay with her family for Shabbat.  Every Wednesday evening, she pulls out different recipes from the universes she’s traveled and creates new foods (or old foods with a new twist) for them to enjoy together, even if sometimes they all agree that what she’s created is actually pretty horrible.  The jury is always out on whether that’s a fault with that universe or with America’s cooking.
Billy and Tommy settle into their new home as though it is no different than the one they have left.  Billy doesn’t just love Scarlet, he adores her with a passion unmatched by his twin. Tommy starts off a little more in his shell; the loss of Vision hits him harder than it does Billy, and it is only when Scarlet discusses her own memories of her husband that Tommy begins to open up to her.  Scarlet isn’t the best teacher, but she often teaches by example.
Every evening, the entire family finally comes together for dinner – each and every one of them, even America, back from her travels.  Sometimes they talk about their day, and sometimes they talk about nothing at all.  The important thing is that they are together and that, even when they aren’t speaking, they enjoy one another’s company.  After dinner, they curl up together in the living room and, as Scarlet remembers doing when she was younger, they pick a television show and enjoy it together.  America often pulls in various versions of things from other universes, but Scarlet goes for the old classics – shows she’d mimicked in Westview that, for some reason, don’t hurt as much as they once did.  After the show, Wendy tells them all a bedtime story, by the end of which the boys are usually nodding off.  Scarlet takes them upstairs, tucks them in, and kisses each of their foreheads gently, and more often than not, she lingers in the doorway, staring at them, surprised at how lucky she has gotten to be blessed with them again.
Sometimes, Scarlet goes to join Wendy and America in the living room afterwards.  They talk or they see another episode of something (or a movie, although Scarlet is less inclined to the ones that Wendy and America want to see) or they play video games that Scarlet doesn’t want the boys to play (Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Super Smash Bros are one thing; Call of Duty, Halo, and Modern Warfare are entirely different.  Not that Scarlet particularly likes those games either; she’s more into Dark Souls and the like, but Wendy says they remind her too much of Neverland, which always makes Scarlet wonder what Neverland had actually been like).  The specifics matter less than the time spent comfortably together, that they can spend time comfortably together, and sometimes, Scarlet glances over to America and meets her eyes in the quiet acknowledgment of that fact.
But every now and again, Scarlet goes to her room by herself, sits in the middle of her bed, lets out a deep breath and thinks of all of the things that went wrong – and all of the things that went right – to get her to this moment.  There are still things she would change – of course, there are – but she wouldn’t change the end result in the slightest.
~
One evening, Wong shows up, looking for the book she’d stolen from him, and Scarlet hands it back easily enough.  “We don’t need it anymore.”
Wong doesn’t raise an eyebrow.  He just nods with an unreadable expression.  “I’m glad you made good use of it,” he says, “but please don’t steal from Kamar-Taj again.  It makes me look bad.”
“And you wouldn’t want that.”  Scarlet smirks, and for a moment, it feels…good.  Like they have hit an acceptance of each other more than either of them ever would have thought possible after her attack barely more than a year ago.
Of course, that acceptance is interrupted by a pounding at the door and a sheepish look from Wong.  Scarlet thinks that, like she had with Wong, like she had with other unexpected visitors, she should phase through the wall in pure Scarlet Witch costume, just to frighten them away, to intimidate them, but she realizes that she doesn’t feel that way anymore.
When she makes it to the door, Billy is standing there, waiting on her. “I don’t think he’s very happy, Mom,” he says.
“Who isn’t happy?” Scarlet asks, turning and opening the door to none other than Stephen Strange.  “Ah.”
Stephen looks as though he is half-dressed for an altercation and half not – he’s in jeans and the same blue jacket he’d worn the last time he visited her in Sokovia, but his red cloak hovers at his neck.  It’s a little mismatched – the cloak with the jacket – but Scarlet knows better than to even attempt the little laugh that is trying to claw its way up her throat.  Instead, her hand moves instinctively to Billy’s shoulder, pulling him to her.
There are a lot of things Scarlet could say to Stephen at this point – You’re not taking my boys or I haven’t done anything this time or It took you long enough – but she steps back, holds the door open, and says, “Stephen.  Why don’t you come in?”
Stephen glances inside the house and then steps across the threshold.  He glances up, notes the runes in the mantelpiece, and nods.  “Ah. Those are new, aren’t they?”  He scuffs his feet on the welcome mat, though the snow is long since gone, and keeps his hands shoved into his jacket pockets. “Wong said America is staying here now?”
Wendy glances up from where she’s curled up on the couch with a book in one hand. “She’s upstairs, actually.”  Her gaze flicks to Scarlet.  “She said something about wanting to add something to my room from some other universe, and I thought—”  Her words are quickly interrupted by a pounding of feet on the stairs.
“Wendy, it’s done!  You can come—”  America makes it halfway down the stairs before seeing Stephen standing just inside the front door.  Her eyes widen.  “Oh. Uh.  Hey?  It’s been…it’s been a while?”
Scarlet gently closes the door behind her.  “Stephen, why don’t you and Wong join us for supper?  Whatever you have to say, you can tell us then.”
“Wanda, I don’t think that’s a good—”
“Scarlet,” Wendy interrupts immediately, correcting him.  “She goes by Scarlet now.  It isn’t very nice if you don’t use people’s proper names.”
Scarlet doesn’t glance over to Wendy, but instead she glances up and meets Stephen’s eyes.  It’s surprising, sometimes, how much they look like Agatha’s, and a part of her regrets that the older witch isn’t here with her.  For some strange reason, she feels like she would be safer if Agatha was here.  Not that Stephen is dangerous or that she and her family are in any danger.  If it comes down to it, she and Wendy could easily overpower him.  That isn’t the problem.
She’s not quite sure what the problem is.
“It’s alright,” Wanda says, thinking of Agatha, agreeing with her. “I think it’s time for me to be Wanda again.”
~
Wanda doesn’t need to make extra chairs for the table, nor does she need to make it any bigger than it already is.  After all, it had been large enough to hold Ash, Agnes, and Agatha before, so even with Wong and Stephen joining them, there is an extra chair off to one side, empty of any occupant.
Dinner isn’t anything extravagant, nothing that America’s made from other universes, just something simple – goulash in the tradition that Wanda has known it in, not the skimpy version she’d had in the Avengers compound so long ago (how could they even call that goulash?  It was nothing of the sort), but a thick beef stew full of hearty vegetables with chunks of bread to sop up the juice.  It isn’t like normal – there is no comfort to this dinner, only the underlying tension of Stephen suddenly showing up after being gone for all of this time.
Eventually, Stephen finishes, clasps his hands together, and starts, “America, I need your help with some multiverse shattering events.”  There’s an awkwardness to his words, despite the firm manner he presents them with.  “We could really use you on this—”
“Absolutely not,” Wanda says before he can even finish.  Stephen gives her a look, but she continues anyway. “You can’t just show up just because you need someone and expect they’ll come help you save the world—”
Wong and America both kick her under the table, likely both remembering the trip across the multiverse to save Ash and her boys, and she gives them both a withering stare.  “First off,” she says, turning to Wong, “you asked me for help—”
Stephen looks to Wong.  “Really?”
Wong shrugs.  “You weren’t available.”
“—and second,” Wanda turns to America, “I told you that you didn’t have to come if you didn’t want to, Wong was the one who insisted that we needed you, and you were the one who came in after us—”
“Hey, hey!”  America holds her hands up in a defensive position.  “You needed me and Kate!  If it weren’t for us, then Mordo would have—”
“Mordo?” Stephen repeats.
Wong hides his hands within the folds of his robe.  “It is a long story, Stephen.  Best for another time.”
“And,” Wanda continues, “you were coming over here just to sit and have hot chocolate with me, even when I expressly did not want you here, so I wasn’t just jumping in out of the blue after over a year of no contact—”
Stephen rubs his forehead with one hand.  “I was a little busy—”
“Too busy to see Starlight?” Wendy interjects, her voice soft.  Her head tilts to the side, and she offers him a soft smile.  “At least Pixie knew to—”
“Who is Pixie?”
Wanda takes a deep breath and places her hands on the table, hands now covered with soft scarlet chaos magic.  “The point is, Stephen, that you don’t just get to come in here, interrupt my family, and—”
“Actually,” Stephen interrupts, “I could use your help, too—”
“Mom?”
Tommy interrupts them all, and at his words, the magic immediately fades from Wanda’s hands.  She glances down to him and Billy, who have begun to huddle together, shivering.  “You’re not…you don’t have to go fight anyone anymore, do you?”  His voice is so soft and thin, and she can feel how his thoughts have turned to their version of Westview, to the Wanda they had first known, who had sent them away with Dottie while she and Peggy unsuccessfully fought an Agatha who would succeed.
“No,” Wanda says.  She reaches over and pushes his hair back from his face fondly.  “No one’s going anywhere, boys.  We’re all going to stay right—”
“Actually.”  America presses her lips together.  “If it’s all the same to you, I think I want to help.”  She bites her lower lip and looks up.  “My moms…I think they would want me to be a hero, and if there’s something dangerous happening here, something dangerous that could hurt the multiverse, then we can’t….  I don’t think it would be right to sit here and do nothing about it when I can do something about it.  Especially now that I can…that I can control my power.”  She glances over to Stephen.  “You have no idea.”
Stephen gives her a quiet nod and then turns to Wanda.  “I’m sure someone can look after your—”
“No, Stephen.”  Wanda shoots him a strong look.  “I’m not leaving my boys.  Scarlet Witch or not, I’m staying right. here.”
Wendy clears her throat.  “If Starlight is going, then I’m going with her,” she says, and when America turns to her, she meets her eyes.  “We come together or not at all.”
“Yeah,” America echoes, giving Wendy a soft smile.  “Together or not at all.”
Stephen looks at Wendy.  “Who are you?”
“Oh, I’m Wendy.”  She gives him her most toothiest grin, more like baring her teeth than any real pleasure.  “You remind me an awful lot of my Pixie.”
“I don’t know who that is.”  Stephen gives her a look and crosses his arms.  “Show me what you can do, kid.”
Wendy just grins.  “Try to say that again.”
Stephen makes a startled noise, but he makes no words.  In a move much more reminiscent of Wanda herself, Wendy has taken Stephen’s mouth.
Wanda gives Wendy a little smile and then settles back into her chair. “Wendy here is another Scarlet Witch. She comes to us from Neverland, and she’s quite powerful.  Perhaps even more powerful than me.”
“No, I’m not.”  Wendy shakes her head.  “I’m just better at making people.”
“Touche.”
Stephen struggles again, and Wanda lifts a hand, giving him his mouth back. “If you want a Scarlet Witch, Wendy is your best option.  She’s quite capable.”  She glances over to Wendy and America again.  “I won’t stand in your way if you want to go, girls.  I know that you’ll take care of yourselves, and I expect that you’ll come right back when you’re done.”
America grumbles.  “Yes, Mother.”
It’s a moment.
Wanda hears it, and her eyes widen, and America glances up to her with a little look that says she knows exactly what that means, and she doesn’t take it back.  The words make Wanda pause, stutter, splutter, and then she swallows past that. “Stephen,” she turns to him, “if anything happens to my girls, I will find you, and I will kill you.  Do you understand me?”
“Right, right, fair.”  Stephen glances over to the girls.  “Do well enough, and you might be made Avengers.”
“I think they are a bit young for that title.”  Wong stands, brushes his knees as though to brush crumbs away from them, and then begins to move away from the table.  “Kamar-Taj is empty, and I must be getting back.  The three of you are coming with me, aren’t you?”
Stephen nods, and America only hesitates once before she nods, too.
~
Before they go, America wraps her arms around Wanda and holds her close.  “I’ll be back,” she says.  “Real soon.”
Wanda hesitates, just as she always did, and then wraps her arms around America, too.  “Don’t be gone too long,” she mutters.  “I’ll be staying up, worrying about you.”
“You’re such a mom,” America says as she pulls away.  She sticks her tongue out at her.  “I’ll be fine.  Wendy’s not going to let anything happen to me again.”  She winces.  “Actually, I don’t want to see what she’ll do if something happens to me.  I don’t think it would be really good.”
“Then don’t let anything happen to you.”  Wanda cups America’s face and then presses a kiss to her forehead.  “Be safe.”
America nods.  “I will.”
Then they, too, are gone.
~
The thing of it is that Wanda’s house is never quiet for long.
Her boys are there, of course, and they are a wonderful, blessed constant.
Agatha pops in every now and again, usually staying for a long stint before leaving again, unable to satisfy her own wanderlust otherwise.
And America and Wendy use the house as their home base, a place they can return to and relax in-between missions or whenever they desperately need the time off.
None of them are ever really gone, not for too long, and they always come back.
They’re family now, and neither time nor distance will ever change that.

WandaVision Episode 8 Magic Explained
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains spoilers for WandaVision
Hello, and welcome to our WandaVision episode 8 magic explainer. Before you go any further, please be aware that we’ll be going into big spoiler territory, so if you haven’t yet seen this week’s installment, avert your eyes immediately.
The eighth episode of Marvel’s first MCU spinoff was largely expository in nature, as Agatha Harkness (Katherine Hahn) forced Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) on a trip down memory lane.
First, we saw the incident Wanda originally described in Avengers: Age of Ultron where she and her twin brother Pietro were trapped by a Stark Industries bomb as children in Sokovia, then we cruised by Strucker’s lab to check out one of the experiments that HYDRA performed on Wanda using Loki’s stolen scepter and the Mind Stone, before wandering down to SWORD headquarters to witness the dismantling of Vision’s vibranium body.
Finally, we hit Westview, New Jersey as it once was – a quiet little town where Vision had bought Wanda a piece of property for them to settle down in, until his untimely demise at the hand of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War destroyed their plans forever. Or at least it did, until Wanda reached breaking point and made it happen anyway by tapping into her true power.
Yes, after enough flashbacks to put all the puzzle pieces together Agatha finally figured out Wanda’s deal: she had used Chaos Magic to create The Hex in Westview and resurrect Vision, which means she must be the Scarlet Witch. Wanda’s Marvel Comics superhero name has never been uttered in the Marvel Cinematic Universe until now – we just witnessed the long-awaited birth of it in Episode 8.
But what exactly is Chaos Magic? And how will finally embracing the extent of her superpowers change Wanda’s destiny forever?
Chaos Magic
In Marvel Comics, Chaos Magic was wielded billions of years ago by an Elder God and Arch-Demon called Chthon. He reigned over Earth for a long time, and was later sealed inside Mount Wundergore, where Wanda Maximoff was born. By touching him, she was given a sliver of Chthon’s power, which in turn gave her the ability to control Chaos Energy. If this hadn’t happened, Wanda would have just grown up with standard mutant energy manipulation powers, and not been able to alter reality at all.
But Chaos Magic can’t simply be dismissed as “reality-altering” – its darkness, purity and magnitude are so great that even Doctor Strange once thought it was fairy tale nonsense. Not only can Chaos Magic be twisted to manipulate or recreate reality and existence however the user pleases, it can be wielded in such a way that destroys the entire universe. Imagine all the power Thanos had with the Infinity Gauntlet – by Chaos Magic standards, he had modest dreams by wiping out half the cosmos.
In the comics, it was Agatha Harkness herself who taught Wanda how to turn Chaos Energy into Chaos Magic and strengthen her powers, turning her into the Scarlet Witch.
Scarlet Witch
Marvel boss Kevin Feige teased the arrival of Chaos Magic in the MCU last year when he described the story of WandaVision:
“If you look at the Infinity Saga, I don’t think any single person has gone through more pain and trauma than Wanda Maximoff,” Feige told Empire . “And no character seems to be as powerful as Wanda Maximoff. And no character has a power-set that is as ill-defined and unexplored as Wanda Maximoff. So it seemed exploring that would be worthwhile post-Endgame. Who else is aware of that power? Where did it come from? Did the Mind Stone unlock it?”
We find out in Episode 8 that, according to Agatha, Wanda was just a “baby witch” who wouldn’t have become anything special before she touched the Mind Stone and her true powers were unlocked. After interacting with the Infinity Stone, Wanda sees a vision of the Scarlet Witch in Strucker’s lab.
The Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s WandaVision
Is she witnessing a future version of herself as an all-powerful being? For Agatha to know about the concept of the Scarlet Witch, she may have existed before in another form, but could just as easily have been described in a mystical prophecy.
It seems that we’re about to watch Wanda Maximoff’s true destiny unfold as she finally becomes this incarnation of Scarlet Witch in the WandaVision finale, which will likely make her one of the most powerful – if not the most powerful – beings in the cosmos. But whether Wanda will ultimately become a positive force or a villainous one in the MCU is still anyone’s guess. Without anyone to teach her how to use these immense powers properly, and with grief now flowing so deep in her psyche, Wanda could easily spin out of control.
We’re also heading towards a massive showdown between Agatha and Wanda, with SWORD having their own White Vision skin in the game, but will the Earth’s very first black magician – the demonic Chthon – also end up making an appearance? We’ll find out next week.

Idea for a Universal Dark Universe.
Tumblr media
So given the fall of the Mummy and the crashing of Dracula the Untold story, my sister and I were talking about the old Universal Monsters and the fact that, as James (Angry Video Game Nerd fame) has mentioned before, the Universal Monsters were doing the shared Cinematic universe long before Marvel, DC or Sony even tried. So it’s kind of a bummer that they can’t seem to get this right. After all you have a cast of great characters that can have some great connections, and honestly, given how well known they are it wouldn’t be too hard to pull from their stories to make the whole universe work.
With that in mind, we came up with what we think would be an interesting way to do the Dark Universe and make it different then what we’ve seen with Marvel or DC so far.
So our overall narrative comes from a question of “What is a Monster” and “What makes a monster?” and “Can something scare even monsters?”
The Movies follow a time line and a plot line. However rather than go in chronological order (i.e., earliest date in time to latest date in time), I’m going on what order the movies would be released in. I hope all of this entertains you. (Bare in mind I’m mixing the books with the Universal Movies characters.)
(All characters are being represented by anime characters and the like because I have no idea who would play these characters.)
Movie 1: Frankenstein
Time: 1800s roughly.
Tumblr media
Story: We start out with the story of young Victor Frankenstein, son of Baron Alphonse Frankenstein and his wife Caroline. Victor has a younger brother William and a younger sister Earnestine, and the family seems pretty chill. Victor’s father likes to push the boys to do their best and we learn very quickly that Victor wants to prove himself to his father as William, the second son, seems to be the favourite due to him being a natural when it comes to engineering and architecture.
Tumblr media
During this time the family takes in the daughter of the Baron’s friend, Elizabeth Lavernza. Victor and Liz grow to like one another and the two later on become sweethearts, and get engaged. Meanwhile Victor starts to attend university where he’s studying medicine and meets up with three men that will become his friends and rivals in various ways.
Tumblr media
First there is Henry Clerval, Victor’s best friend from when they were kids. The two share a close bond and both want to go into being doctors for various reasons. Henry’s main goal is to actually help the sick and wants to find cures for illnesses, particularly childhood ones that took away his cousin, Michael (who was like a brother to him).
Tumblr media
Second there’s Victor Moritz, the brother of Justine Moritz –Earnestine’s Nanny. Moritz, as he’s called in his circle to distinguish him and Victor from each other at times, comes off as a bit of a callous man, and sees only money in his work and wants to make a lot as his family was not well off and he intends to make enough to help out his sister and his family. He views death and life as one in the same and doesn’t think Victor’s plans are going to work.
Lastly there’s Felix De Lacey, the son of a blind French Merchant who is a rather arrogant man who wants to repair his father’s eyesight and, while he and Victor have a feud, both recognise each other’s talents. Felix also seems to have a thing for Elizabeth, and mentions to her several times that he thinks she would be better off with a man like him.
During this time in the university Victor’s mother Caroline dies of Scarlet Fever, and he nearly loses his younger sister Earnestine to it as well. It leaves Earnestine weaker, making Victor feel guilty about not being there for his sister and brother, or his mother. During this time, he starts to worry about who is raising the boys now that their mother is gone, and who will instill in them a sense of morality. He talks about the ideas of life and death with two of his Professors: Dr. Henry Waldman and Dr. William Krempe.
Both men have a major influence over Victor, but while Waldman points out that while one could bring back life theoretically, it’s not wise to play god, whereas Krempe, who sees an opportunity if Victor gets this right to gain more influence in the University, tells him “Go for it.” Of these two Krempe is seen as more of an uncouth man, who longs for recognition and wants to gain a sense of power and prestige in academia. Krempe gets Victor to consider testing one of Victor’s theories about bringing things to life with electricity.
Of course Victor starts to experiment on small things, dead animals and the like, and manages to get them to move with a voltage of electricity to their hearts. This gets him to think he can actually bring the dead back to life. His friends though think he’s nuts until he proves his point in bringing back to life a cat that Felix’s sister, Agatha, lost recently. Henry and Moritz are amazed, and a bit scared by this, Felix is rather upset because this means that Victor is going to become a more influential student in the university then himself. Of course in the meantime Victor gets engaged to Elizabeth, and Henry is starting to date Agatha. All seems well as Victor’s work is going along smoothly.
That changes when he’s summoned home by his father, he’s gotten older and can’t run his business anymore, forcing Victor to have to take over as Baron for the time. This doesn’t bode well with Victor as it means giving up his plans at the university. But he does what he must and leaves. Felix thinks this means that Krempe is going to see him as the prized student, but Krempe is pissed that Victor is going.
He visits young Victor at home and urges him to keep up the experiments. In the meantime, Moritz has decided that being a human doctor is a pain in the ass and got an easier degree in the form of taking care of animals as a Vet. He’s moved back into town and Victor tells him what he’s doing. Again Moritz doesn’t think much of it, but decides to help him out by offering up the services of one of his helpers, a slower thinking man by the name of Fritz. Fritz befriends Victor and the two start work on bringing a human to life. Henry is still in school but is keeping in contact with Elizabeth who is starting to worry about Victor and the letters and visits from Krempe. Eventually Henry comes to see Victor and tries to talk him out of his plans, but it fails.
All this time though Felix is getting more and more pissed off, and Krempe is pushing him more and more as Victor keeps ignoring the man, and has stated to him that he’s not about to share his stuff with Krempe. Krempe gets Felix to basically hate Victor, and at first he doesn’t intend to go see Victor for Krempe, but when Agatha’s cat drops dead again, he realizes the plan isn’t going to work. Or so he thinks.
Felix goes to see Victor, and brings the dead cat, pointing out that the cat couldn’t sustain itself even with the electricity, and that there’s something off with it. Victor tries to fix the issue, but can’t as the cat has been dead for too long and there’s no way to fix the issue. However, that gets him thinking about a different set of chemicals and he and Fritz go to get a body(bodies?) to work with. Each time though the charge won’t sustain it and the creature dies again, making Victor feel bad. He decides to give it one more go, with a lighting experiment. That night though Kempe comes and, after a fight with Victor, screws with a section of the setup for the lightning bolt. In this case Victor’s test gets screwed up badly. The “monster” that was to be his creature is fried, and he is killed from the bolt. Fritz freaks out and Victor who was there with Elizabeth at the time rushes down to find his friend dead. Of course a funeral is held and Victor is placed in a mausoleum next to his mother. Fritz though can’t live without his friend, and steals the corpse a day or so later. He brings it back to the lab, and Henry, who is there with Earnestine as the Baron and William are out making arrangements to sell Victor’s things, rushes down with the younger man to see Fritz screwing around with the machine during a thunder storm. Henry, in trying to stop Fritz, inadvertently helps him and the three are shocked when Victor wakes up.
The story continues where the group of Henry, Victor Moritz, Elizabeth and Earnestine, have to hide that Victor is alive and undead. Felix’s sister Agatha gets killed by someone during a night when Victor, who is trying to grapple with what he’s become, wandered out of the house. Fritz finds him and hides him when the police come and they arrest the poor man. Henry at first suspects it’s Victor’s doing and tries to get him to confess to the crime, even though Victor doesn’t remember killing Agatha. The two come to blows, with Victor nearly killing his friend after he gets stabbed and feels no pain from it. Fearing he’s becoming a monster he tries to leave the country, but he can’t go when Fritz is going to trial over a crime he didn’t commit.
Felix is also suspecting that Fritz didn’t do the crime and discovers Victor, whom he thinks killed his sister as well. The two come to an uneasy alliance after Victor Moritz proves that it couldn’t have been Victor or Fritz that killed Agatha. Henry, in the meantime goes to see Kempe who, after Henry starts to put things together about Agatha and her death being committed by Kempe, gets knocked out and nearly burned when he sets fire to the house. Victor, being what he is now, goes in and saves his friend, but people see him and flip out.
Victor, fearing for the safety of his family and friends, flees. Henry alerts Felix that it was Kempe who killed his sister, hoping to cause another situation like Victors to happen. Kempe in the meanwhile has taken Elizabeth, as he intends to kill her and use her to prove his point in France, as he thinks he’s going to be safe there. However, Victor, Felix and Moritz catches up to him. Kempe manages to shoot and injure Felix after Moritz loses his gun. Kempe admits that he pretty much screwed up Victor’s experiment in the first place, but that Victor owes him for what he is now, and how he’s a marvel. Victor says no he’s made him a monster, and to prove it, he comes at Kempe slowly, even as he’s being shot, and takes him with him off the pier into the murky water below.
Everyone thinks that Victor and Kempe is dead. A while later Henry is traveling to America with Earnestine who is carrying the book of Frankenstein as written by Earnestine’s friend Mary Shelly. Felix is actively seeking out a way to memorialize Agatha, but there are hints he’s thinking of trying Victor’s experiments on his late sister and it looks like Victor and Elizabeth are taking care of the Baron.
Mid credits set up: One night, someone crawls up from the water and it’s revealed to be Victor. Elizabeth finds him and he tells her that he can’t stay, he’s dead and she needs to live a happy life. The two kiss and he departs into the darkness.
After credits jumps forward to the 1954 where we see a tv in London in a shop showing off a news item about Dr. Maia expedition to the Amazon. It pans over to reveal a man with a newspaper reading about the sponsored trip from an unknown person of wealth, and we see upon that paper being lowered that it’s Victor, still looking very much like he did when he died all those years ago wondering if the expedition that he’s funding will be worth the trouble.
Movie 2: Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Time Period: 1954 (same year as the original movie came out)
Story: Movie starts off where the teaser left off. We see Dr. Carla Maia, a palaeontologist who is looking for evidence of earlier creatures that could link between when dinosaurs came onto land from the water, doing an interview and explaining what her crew is going to be doing. Fellow researcher and her friend Dr. David Reed is there with his boss Dr. Mark Williams to see her off. Mark is not too thrilled with this expedition, as it’s being paid for by an unknown person whom Carla says is a family friend, and she won’t disclose the name. David sees this as a good thing for Carla, since Mark wasn’t willing to fund her research in the first place, and wishes her luck.
While on the expedition Carla’s main assistant Marco comes across a strange fossil that has a claw like structure and webbings, but clearly has more of a human like physiology to it. Carla manages to surmise that it probably comes from the Devonian period, and maybe a link between when animals came from the water to land. But she wants to be sure, so she leaves Marco and Antonio behind to watch over the camp and heads back to Rio to talk to David, who’s an ichthyologist, and is hoping for some additional insight into what they found. David is studying some form of lung fish with his assistant and girlfriend Kaye Lawrence. The two have been dating for about three years now and David is a bit hesitant to offer marriage to her as he worries that her family will not want her married to a man that is a Fish Doctor, as her father called him.
When Carla returns, Kaye –who is working on her PHD on aquatic amphibians and lizards–points out that the creature has similar structure to some known under water frogs, but that the hand also seems to be more lizard like as well in dimension and finger length. David and Carla find this odd, and after consulting with a few other people decide it might be best to do some field research on this.
Meanwhile, the creature has been noticing activity near his lair and came to check it out. On the first few nights while Carla is away not much happens, other than the creature taking food from them, and also watching the group curiously. Things take a darker turn when during one night following Carla leaving one of the men that is working for the group gets paranoid from the local ghost stories in the area. While out to use the bathroom he is stumbled upon by the Creature. Panicking he shoots at it, and the creature, scared and cornered, attacks killing him then quickly leaves. His body is found the following morning and the men think he’s been attacked by a wild animal and are on guard. The creature stays away but is now warry of the men that are at the camp.
David, Kaye and Carla talk Mark into allowing David and Kaye to go check out the findings, but Mark insists upon coming along as he sees dollar signs from this discovery. Dr. Menos, one of the lead researchers at the institute suggests a friend of his, a Lucas Moritz, who owns a tramp steamer that will take them back to the location where the claw was found. Lucas turns out to be a rather calm man but one that doesn’t trust anyone, and doesn’t seem to like Carla because she reminds him of his ex-wife in a number of ways. Captain Lucas seems a bit reluctant, as his family has had dealings with weird things and they have caused them nothing but trouble. He went to Brazil after the war to get away from his family issues. Along with the group is geologist Dr. Edwin Thompson, who works with Mark and is wondering if this trip is really worth it, or if Carla faked the whole thing.
When the team arrive at the camp they find that at least three of the men have been killed, two from unknown circumstances (the first and third man) and one from friendly fire (second one). Carla is unnerved by this, as are the others. Lucas tries to play it off as an attack from a Jaguar, but Carla and David aren’t sure. Mark though figures that it’s the best explanation and wants this excavation to be underway.
The group digs about the location, finding items but nothing that would be close to the fossil that they found before. While searching Kaye notices the creature and, thinking it’s one of the local wild life tries to take a picture of it, but the Creature hurries away. However its subsequent visits make it enamored of her. As the group keeps looking the local refer to legends of the gill-man, a creature that is half fish half human, that hides in the local area, and reportedly resides in the Black Lagoon, a place that is paradise but also is apparently terrifying.
Mark, annoyed with the fact that they haven’t found anything, is insisting on packing up and leaving. However David and Kaye manage to convince him to allow them to go to search the Lagoon after Kaye points out that the remains could have drifted farther down river. Mark, again seeing money, agrees to let them go, much to the reluctance of Lucas and the other members of his crew. Carla cautions that they shouldn’t linger too long as locals have reportedly gone missing in the water there, and it’s not very clear.
The Creature, seeing them head towards his home, follows after, still interested in Kaye. When they get to the Lagoon, David and Mark go to collect samples on the lagoon floor, while Edwin and Carla take control of the banks and Kaye catalogues their findings. As the afternoon wears on the four scientist come back to check out their findings. Kaye and Mark have a fight over who has the right for keeping the items that they find and she thinks that Carla’s institute should have them. Mark threatens to fire her, but David quickly points out that she’s one of the best in her field and it would be a shame for Mark to let her go. Kaye is glad that David stuck up for her, but feels that he’s not giving her a chance to prove herself to Mark and being a wall between them.
Feeling a bit confined at the moment Carla suggest that Kaye take a swim to cool off, but warns to not go too far from the boat. Kaye agrees and goes into the water. While in the water Kaye is stalked by the Gill-man and is touched by him to her shock. She swims back to the boat and the Gill-man gives chase only to be caught on the drag line and, in his hurry to free himself, he rips off part of his claw leaving it behind. Kaye returns to the boat, scared but not harmed. Edwin and Lucas think they should bail, and Carla is beginning to think that it might be the work of a group of rebel fighters in the area. Just as David is starting to agree that it’s time to leave, one of Lucas’s men pulls up the claw and shows the group.
Carla and David are thrilled to see the claw and examine it. Kaye still wants to leave, but Mark insists that they must capture the creature. Mark plots on using Kaye as bait, since she was what pulled it to the ship at first, and David suggest using Carla since Kaye just got freaked out. But Kaye, agrees, only with the condition that David and Carla don’t have to work under Mark if they get the creature. A deal is struck and Kaye tries to lure the creature back, but it’s in hiding, nursing its wound.
Over the next few days Lucas men get attacked and some killed by the Gill-man as he tries to get to Kaye. Eventually he gets captured and locked in a cage. Carla, Kaye and David are surprised by how intelligent he is and start to carefully study him, but Mark sees money and wants to sell him. Kaye feels sorry for the creature and befriends him with Carla. Worried that his money is going to be let go by David, whom Kaye has convinced into allowing the creature to go back to its home after they take some samples and tag it for monitoring, Mark insists that Edwin stand guard. During the night the creature escapes, and several injures Edwin in the process.
While it’s out Gill-man goes after Kaye and tries to kidnap her, only for her to rebuff him by hitting him in the face full force with a lantern. Wounded, but not deterred, the creature tries for her again, only to be hit in the arm by a dart gun wielded by Carla. Gill-man dives off the ship, with Lucas firing a shot or two into the water to keep it at bay. He stands guard until morning, and David agrees with him that they have to leave at first light, since Edwin is hurt and the creature will certainly be back. The duo tell the ladies their plans, but Mark refuses to let them leave, so they tie him up with the express purpose of keeping him from knowing that they’re leaving.
Plans though go south when they try to leave and the Creature ends up blocking their path with a damn of trees. David and Carla, along with the remains of the crew, get rid of the logs while Lucas steers the boat. While this is happening Edwin, in his delirious state, unties Mark who ties him up in turn and then goes after the creature to capture it (or Kill it) and bring it back to the ship to sell it in parts or put it up as a show piece. Unfortunately for him Gill-man is none too pleased, and mauls him underwater, ending his life.
Kaye, trying to find out where Mark went, gets kidnapped by the Gill-man when he manages to pull her over after she’s found the rope that Mark used to guide him back to the boat. Edwin sees this and alerts the others. David insists on going after the creature, Carla and Lucas, agree to go with and the trio go after the creature. Kaye is being held in the lair and here she learns about the creature and that it is smart and has been alive for a while. It gives hints that the creature can mate with women, and there’s hints that the newer creatures are born from the local populace that went missing. Kaye realizes that the creature wants her to be a mom, and refuses the offer. Just then David and co rush in.
There’s a standoff between the creature and the others, leading to Lucas and Carla realizing that the best thing to do is knock the creature out. Which they do using a rock and some gas, and Kaye explains what the hell is going on here. Carla realizes that the creature won’t be safe here because there will be other Marks and decides to take him back to Rio. She carefully locks the creature up and makes sure that it knows she’s not there to hurt it. Kaye and David decide to report Mark’s death as an accident and leave it at that. The last thing we see is Carla writing a letter to Victor telling him about her findings, and Victor writing back sending her money to set up a lagoon for the creature in an unspecified location.
After credits we get a shot of the claw being looked at by a young man in a museum, and his mother calling him over telling him, “Will, come on. I thought you wanted to see the mummies!” He says he’s coming and we see the two enter a Mummy exhibit at a museum. (I’m breaking these into parts as they are long.

Marvel’s WandaVision Episode 7: MCU Easter Eggs and Reference Guide
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains WandaVision episode 7 spoilers and potential spoilers for future episodes and the wider MCU.
WandaVision episode 7 is probably the final episode that is going to adhere to the sitcom format. As we’ve seen in recent episodes, the show is spending more and more time in the confines of the “real” MCU, and with its TV homages now brought up to modern day, it can spend its final two episodes bringing more surprises and wrapping up its incredibly ambitious story.
But WandaVision episode 7 is ambitious enough in itself, and like previous episodes, it’s positively full of Marvel Comics Easter eggs and pieces that will likely expand the scope of the MCU as we know it.
Let’s see what we found…
Sitcom Influences
This episode takes WandaVision up to the mockumentary era of television, which featured shows like The Office (U.K. and U.S.), Parks and Recreation, and Modern Family. Characters routinely talk to producers offscreen in confessional-style interviews. The Vision’s microphone is even visible in one instance, clipped to the chest.
The episode draws most of its inspiration and look from Modern Family, probably merely because the premise of Wanda’s “modern family” fits more closely to Westview than an office environment would. The Office does get a major shoutout in the twee opening credits though.
We wrote more about the sitcom influences of this episode here.
Wanda
Wanda wakes up still wearing most of her “Sokovian fortune teller” costume from Halloween, so this episode takes place on Nov. 1st, the morning after the previous episode. Elsewhere in the episode, we learn that just about the entire scope of what we’ve seen (other than flashbacks to Monica’s return from “The Blip”) has taken place over one week.
“Don’t let him make you the villain,” Monica pleads with Wanda. There is some legit commentary here. Assorted “hims” have been making Wanda the villain of her own story since John Byrne did it with a run on West Coast Avengers in the late 1980s. We remain unconvinced that Wanda is actually a malevolent force.
Of course Wanda’s weakness is someone asking her to kill them. That’s where a big chunk of her recent trauma comes from!
The cereal Wanda is fetching in the kitchen at the start of the episode is called Sugar Snaps, though you’d think Wanda would have had quite enough of Snaps. It also had a clown on the box! In the previous episode, Wanda turned a bunch of SWORD agents into clowns. The cereal’s name is also a subtle anachronism, lots of cereals used to prominently have “Sugar” in their names before they were replaced with more innocuous words like “honey” or “corn.”
The Commercial: Nexus
As usual, the fake commercials have a lot going on, and this one for an antidepressant known as Nexus is no different.
The Nexus of All Realities is a magical area in Marvel that acts as a gateway to various other dimensions. In the comics, it’s located in a swamp in New Orleans and is guarded by the mute creature Man-Thing.
Wanda herself is also a Nexus Being. It is incredibly convoluted, but the shortest explanation possible that doesn’t involve telling you about the time John Byrne quit Avengers West Coast mid-storyline for being edited is: Wanda’s probability altering powers make her capable of altering the future, even once it’s set. That allows Wanda to change the paths that would lead to the creation of, for example, the Time Keepers we saw statues of in the Loki trailer.
At Agnes’ house, Billy and Tommy are watching Yo Gabba Gabba on and they’re singing “Jumpy Jump” though “Puppet Master” would have been more on the nose. “Jumpy Jump” might just be a hint that The Hex is a Nexus multiversal jump point.
There’s another potential Nexus connection, too. NEXUS is where Tony found JARVIS in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
We wrote more about the Marvel significance of “Nexus” here.
Billy and Tommy
Billy and Tommy, like most kids their age, seem to love video games. Since this episode is modeled after Modern Family (2009), it makes sense that they’re playing games on the Nintendo Wii console, the Japanese publisher’s main platform from 2006 to 2012.
But the sudden shifts in reality mean that the Wii doesn’t stay a Wii for long. We watch as Billy and Tommy’s Wiimotes transform into GameCube controllers (2001) and then Atari 2600 joystick controllers (1977), both of which seem to fit the eras in which previous episodes of WandaVision are set.
Both of the boys continue to wear their comic book colors. Tommy’s not just wearing green like his “Speed” alter ego, but he’s straight up wearing a tracksuit.
The Darkhold?
It appears that Agatha is keeping the Darkhold in her basement. Well, it WOULD if it weren’t for the fact that this book looks very different from the way that it was represented on Marvel TV shows like Agents of SHIELD or Runaways.
But if it WERE the Darkhold, this incredibly powerful book would have been written by Chthon, a demon/elder god who has figured prominently in various Wanda and Agatha Harkness stories over the years. It’s said that this book is what created the first vampire (hmmmm…the MCU does have a Blade movie in the works), created werewolves (surely it’s only a matter of time before Werewolf by Night shows up…on the upcoming Moon Knight series, perhaps), and more. If the MCU is going down a more supernatural route for some of its future installments, then the Darkhold would be a key piece of that.
But again, this looks very different than the Darkhold we’ve seen on these other shows.
Reed Richards…you coming or what?
Still no sign of the mysterious “aerospace engineer,” but does the mockumentary/sitcom tone this episode shares with The Office tease John Krasinski’s arrival as Reed Richards?
Monica Rambeau
The official uniform Monica is wearing under her space suit looks very much like some of the outfits she has worn in various superheroic identities in the comics, including when she was Captain Marvel. It’s appropriate since this episode is another big step in her superheroic origin story, and now there’s no more question that she’s gaining powers from her repeated trips through the Hex.
It’s almost certainly Monica’s new powers that allow her to make it through the Hex this time, and when she comes out she can see energy patterns and signatures.
Monica sticks the trademark “Superhero Landing” when she’s confronting Wanda. As Deadpool will attest, it’s really hard on your knees. Totally impractical, but they all do it.
When Agnes is dragging Wanda into her house, Wanda points at Monica and the whole thing is framed like the “two ladies yelling at the white cat” meme. Impossible to unsee. Fun fact: the white cat’s real name is Smudge.
Contact
Monica’s journey through The Hex pays homage to the special effects technique Robert Zemeckis used in the wormhole sequence for 1997’s Contact. During the scene in question, versions of Jodie Foster’s face appear to ghost out from her body, voicing her internal thoughts and memories. By the time Monica emerges from the Hex barrier, she is “ok to go” as a superpowered being.
Contact’s central character, Ellie Arroway, is a woman who has lost her whole family but suppresses her grief and feels all alone in the universe. Can’t see a WandaVision connection here, no sir!
Is this just a tribute to the cult Zemeckis sci-fi movie or is there more to it? Maybe those wondering if the mysterious aerospace engineer will turn out to be Blue Marvel/Mister Fantastic/Doctor Doom have never considered Contact star Matthew McConaughey as a possibility for one of the latter two roles? We might remind you he’s been desperate for a part in the MCU for years.
Wundagore
Did we see a flash of a Wundagore Everbloom when the plants in Wanda’s house were changing? In Marvel Comics, the Everbloom was a wedding present from Agatha Harkness to Wanda and Vision, and only grows on Wundagore Mountain (where Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were raised). It lets you see the future if you put a dab leaf on your tongue.
The fact that whatever this is seems to have taken over the basement makes us think of the Yo Magic commercial from last week, which implied that someone (or something) is perhaps feeding off Wanda’s powers.
Agatha Harkness
Agnes is finally revealed as Agatha Harkness in this episode, complete with an absolutely perfect theme song. The brilliant “Agatha All Along” tune is absolutely a pastiche of the Munsters theme, only with lyrics.
At the end of the song, “And I killed Sparky too!” is a good take on the infamous Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch line, “I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!”
This show has been about Wanda finding her own agency through pain and about counterpointing all the misogyny in her history. For it to be Agnes manipulating her would be a betrayal of the point of the show so far. Not only that, in the comics, Agatha Harkness is generally depicted as an ally of Wanda’s. So we’re betting that “It was Agatha all along” is a red herring, and either Agatha is also being manipulated by an outside force, or Wanda is just putting that villainy on her without knowing the whole story.
Read all our speculation about who the REAL WandaVision villain is here.
In the comics, Agatha’s familiar is a cat named Ebony. Her rabbit being named “Senor Scratchy” is enough of a nod to that while also referencing Agatha’s evil son Nicholas Scratch.
While Agnes was able to trick Vision by pretending to be another victim driven insane by being in the Hex, Billy is unknowingly able to see past that by noticing that there isn’t any psychic pain underneath her performance.
Agnes’ brooch is clearly visible in all of the shots of her. That brooch has three sisters on it, but we still don’t know what it means. It feels so prominent that it has to mean something, though.
The Post Credits Scene
Wanda is pretty certain that the “Uncle Peter” we met in the previous episodes is most certainly not her brother. The Agatha reveal would seem to back this up, as does his kind of menacing presence (“snoopers gonna snoop”) in the post-credits scene. But if he isn’t Pietro Maximoff, then who the heck is he?
We have some theories here.
Random Stuff and Unanswered Questions
When we saw the first flashback to the borders of the Hex expanding, the drums sound a little bit like The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil.” We can’t be sure, though…so we’re not putting this down as a Mephisto clue. THIS TIME.
In the middle of the intro, one of the screens says in cut-up letters, “I know what u are doing Wanda.” Creepy.
As Darcy chats Vision through his past, she tells him she’s been watching WandaVision for the past week. We’ve been watching it a lot longer than that, Miss Lewis, and we’re still not sure what’s really going on.
The calendar in the intro has a heart over the 10th, but the first episode had it over the 23rd. Probably means nothing, but worth thinking about.
Right after Agnes leads Wanda away from the conversation with Monica, we see Dennis the mailman wearing a logo that says “Presto.” Perfect exclamation considering who Agnes is and what she was trying to do in that scene. Also, with Presto being an Amazon knockoff, the logo appears to be a rabbit running.
We’re looking, but so far we’ve been unable to find a Marvel Comics parallel for Major Goodner.

At the circus, the butterfly lady on the unicycle looks a little bit like the X-Men‘s Dark Phoenix.

Marvel’s WandaVision Episode 5: MCU Easter Eggs and Reference Guide
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This article contains WandaVision spoilers through episode 5, possibly beyond, and for the wider MCU.
WandaVision episode 5, “On a Very Special Episode…” took everything we liked about the first two episodes and shook them up. For the first time, we have a fully blended approach to the storytelling, with the episode alternating between the altered “sitcom” reality of Westview, NJ and the actual, current MCU events. And then there’s that multiverse-shattering ending to contend with.
There’s a lot to break down with this week’s WandaVision, so we’d better get to it…
Sitcom Influences
WandaVision took us to the ‘80s this week, with a little Growing Pains, some Family Ties, and maybe a hint of Full House thrown in for good measure. The living room set itself looks very much like the standard seen on shows of the era, specifically Family Ties and Growing Pains.
Family Ties
The aging up of Billy and Tommy is much like Andy Keaton from Family Ties. In season 4, Andy was born and spent the whole season as a baby. As of the beginning of season 5, Andy was suddenly about 5 years old with zero explanation.
Also from Family Ties is the beginning of the opening credits, where it would show someone painting a colorless sketch of the family.
Bettany’s Michael Gross impression was extremely disturbing in how good it was a couple of times.
Growing Pains
Wanda and Vision getting vaguely horny for each other while doing regular domestic stuff is reminiscent of the way the parents would occasionally get it on on Growing Pains and Family Ties.
The sitcom theme lyrics and feel are extremely Growing Pains. And yes, as you might expect, they are very appropriate for these characters.
Here are the full lyrics for you (courtesy of the Disney+ closed caption feature):
“You wander the world with a vision…Of what life could be But then the years come and teach you…To just wait and see Forces may try to pull us apart…But nothing can phase me If you’re in my heart Crossing our fingers Singing a song We’re making it up as we go along Through the highs and lows We’ll be right, we’ll be wrong We’re making it up as we go along And there will be days…We won’t know which way to go But we’ll take it higher…You’re all I desire When the going gets tough…When push comes to shove We’re making it up Cuz we got love we got love we got love We got WandaVision”
Darcy also refers to Vision “playing Father Knows Best,” a callback to the sitcom style of the first episode.
We wrote in more detail about the sitcom influences of WandaVision episode 5 here.
Scarlet Witch
For the first time, we get the names of Wanda’s parents: Irina and Oleg Maximoff, but in the comics they were known as Django and Marya.
Wanda was born in 1989, the same year as Elizabeth Olsen.
We learn here that the “Scarlet Witch” codename has never been used in the MCU
Darcy refers to the anomaly as “the hex” after the hexagonal patterns that were noted in the previous episode. In the comics, Wanda’s powers are often referred to as “hex bolts.” She could also produce “hex spheres” and the town seems to be enveloped in a large one here.
Wanda’s accent, missing since Avengers: Age of Ultron, makes its triumphant return here.
Wanda talking to the kids about how “my brother is far away from here” is technically true: his corpse is…nowhere nearby. Although given how the episode ends, she could very well have been referring to another corner of the multiverse. We’ll get to that soon enough.
SWORD seems to refer to what’s going on as “The Maximoff Anomaly.”
Vision
We now know that Vision’s corpse is physically present in Westview and he isn’t just a manifestation of Wanda’s powers, nor was the horrific image of him glimpsed at the end of episode 3 a hallucination: it was Wanda seeing him as he really is.
Vision is working on a Commodore 64 at Computational Services. This early personal computer was a terrific gaming machine, with graphics and sound that were far better than early home gaming consoles of the era.
Vision apparently had a “living will” about what he didn’t want done with his body in the event of his untimely demise. Think of it like the MCU equivalent of a DNR. No, not a “do not reveal.” The other thing.
House of M
Before Agnes shows up the second time around, Vision is reading a newspaper with the headline, “LOCAL HOMEMAKERS INNOVATING RECIPES.” Moments later, he folds the newspaper in a way so that it only says “HOM.” HOM is short for the big Scarlet Witch comic event House of M.
The Twins
While it’s used as a setup for the twins inexplicably growing up, Wanda and Vision are horrified to find that the babies have simply vanished. In the comics, the first time we really get an idea that something is wrong with the children (as well as Wanda’s mental wellbeing) is when they show us that Billy and Tommy would cease to exist when Wanda wasn’t around.
This episode is the first to really feel like it’s borrowing a lot from Wanda’s most important story: the Dark Scarlet Witch story from Avengers West Coast. In that book, the first clue that something was wrong with Wanda was how the twins would disappear when she wasn’t looking a them. This would often happen when Agatha Harkness (presumably Agnes here) was babysitting for them. And later, Wanda’s personality started to shift towards full villainy and she was very cavalier about the use of her powers, something we start to see in this episode.
For most of the episode, the twins are dressed in red and green. This more than a nod to their parents’ favored color schemes, but it appears to mirror the colors they adopt when they grow up to be superheroes themselves. William becomes the hex-wielding Wiccan, who favors red, while Tommy favors green (like his Uncle Pietro) as Speed.
Sparky
Poor Sparky. Good boy.
The name “Sparky” is a reference to Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta’s brilliant Vision story, in which Vision and his “family” (not the Maximoffs) move to the suburbs and try to live a “normal” life. Part of that includes a synthezoid canine named “Sparky.” He didn’t meet a good end there, either. Stop letting dogs die in our stories, you monsters! It’s too sad.
Lagos
This week’s commercial is for Lagos Brand Paper Towels, with the catchy slogan of:  “For when you make a mess you didn’t mean to.”
This references the opening scenes of Captain America: Civil War, when Wanda used her powers to stop Crossbones from detonating a bomb in a crowded marketplace. While she reduced the number of casualties overall, a number of innocent civilians still died when he exploded. It’s the first indication that Wanda’s grief and trauma in Westview are driven by far more than just the loss of her lover.
The Lagos ad is also another reference to the Infinity Stones. Previously, we’ve had the toaster (Power), the watch (Time) and the Tesseract-shaped bath powder (Space). Here, we have a red liquid spill in a sly nod to the Aether (Reality). Only the Mind and Soul stones to go – which means two more commercials.
X-Men
These are definitely not the only X-Men references in the episode (of course), but we’ll get to that big one down below…
The scene of Wanda confronting SWORD agents looks to be directly inspired by the scene in the first X-Men movie where the police try to take down Magneto. Much like Wanda, he uses his powers on their guns, causing them to be aimed at the cops themselves before escaping. Considering the payoff to this episode and Magneto’s role as Wanda and Pietro’s sometimes-father in the comics (not to mention Pietro’s definite father in the X-Men movies), this was more than likely set up.
Vision says he was reading Charles Darwin’s “The Descent of Man” to one of the twins, a book that deals with evolution. (David Bowie voice) “Gotta make way for the homo superior!”
The Twilight Zone
Serious Twilight Zone “It’s a Good Life” vibes in the episode throughout, particularly when Agnes is visibly weirded out by Wanda with her “take it from the top” moment (unless she’s deliberately screwing with everyone), and the mailman telling the twins “your mom won’t let [Sparky] get far.”
Also, while we’re on the subject of The Twilight Zone, Agnes appears to live at the corner of Maple St. and Sherwood Drive. “The Monsters are due on Maple Street” is a notoriously paranoid unpacking of suburban paranoia.
Westview
The opening credits feature a “Greetings From Westview, NJ” postcard in a pretty common format, but one made most famous on the cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Greetings From Asbury Park” album.
We wrote more about Westview in general here.
“For the Children
Vision points out that there are “no other children in Westview,” which calls to mind the creepy “for the children” chant from back in episode 2.
Captain Marvel
Darcy draws the connection between how both Wanda and Carol Danvers got their powers via an Infinity Stone. Similarly, they acknowledge Wanda almost took out Thanos in Avengers: Endgame but that this feels outside the scope of her powers. Still, the fact that both Wanda and Carol stood up to Thanos isn’t something that’s being glossed over in the MCU.
Note Monica’s reaction when the name “Captain Marvel” is said isn’t exactly what you’d call enthusiastic.
Monica Rambeau
Monica’s test results coming back blank seem pretty significant. Is this a signifier that her molecular structure has changed, whether from the blip or passing through the hex barrier? Are we witnessing Monica’s superheroic origin story in slow motion?
Who is the Villain of WandaVision, anyway?
Despite the implications from the end of episode 4, Wanda isn’t completely in control of what’s going on. At various points in the episode she seems to be manipulating everything, but at others seems to be completely immersed in this reality.
But if she doesn’t remember how this all started, that sets up a potential villain reveal (or more than one) down the road.
What’s up with Agnes?
Agnes is complicit but was disturbed by Wanda’s ability to “resurrect” so how much can she really know? Unless, of course, she’s just “acting” this way to continue with her cover.
On the other hand, Agnes “helping out with the kids” is kind of in line with our Agatha Harkness theory for the character.
Reed Richards?
Monica mentions that she has a particular “aerospace engineer” in mind to call for help. Based on all the other subtle Fantastic Four clues that were in the fourth episode, could this individual be Reed Richards?
If they aren’t taking that big a swing, it could be Adam Bernard Brashear, known as “The Blue Marvel,” another prominent Marvel scientist, and one who has led the 616 version of the Ultimates with Monica on the team.
Evan Peters is Pietro
“She recast Pietro?”
Yes, you are indeed seeing Evan Peters returning as Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver here. This is (at least until it’s revealed that the MCU Wanda and Pietro were indeed mutants whose powers were merely “activated” by Strucker’s experiments) now officially the first appearance of a mutant/member of the X-Men in the MCU. Peters, of course, played Pietro in three films,X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Dark Phoenix. While Aaron Taylor-Johnson played Pietro in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Peters played him in Days of Future Past, and he was generally more warmly-received by fans.
And does this indeed mean that Pietro is alive again, albeit in “recast” form? Or is Wanda so powerful that she ripped open a hole in the multiverse itself in order for her brother to “make a guest appearance” in Westview? This could very well be the first indication of what’s to come in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the possibly Spiderverse-y Spider-Man 3.
Unless…what if this isn’t Pietro at all? What if it’s someone manipulative merely taking the form of Pietro to mess with Wanda even further?
Also, Pietro’s “bad boy” appearance very much feels like it fits with the Family Ties aesthetic. His “New York tough guy” look and persona is much like Nick, Mallory’s idiot boyfriend.  Coincidentally, Nick also starred in an episode of the show where he got a dog and it died soon after from an accident.
We wrote much more about the shocking WandaVision episode 5 ending here.
We Are Kind of OK With the ’80s
Jazzercise was indeed a real thing, god help us.
For those of you thinking the internet was a whatever a reverse anachronism is, we made the same mistake too. But it turns out it has been around in some form since the 1960s, when the Advance Research Projects Agency (precursor to today’s US government mad science agency, DARPA) networked a few computers and sent messages back and forth.
Unanswered Questions
Dennis the Mailman is back from episode 1. His little aside to the kids is an indicator that he is vaguely aware of what’s really going on. Not necessarily in a sinister way, but a reminder that the people of Westview aren’t really enjoying this.
One of the camera feeds we see is from Satellite 348. Avengers #348 had a Vision-centric cover and story.
Is there a significance to the stuffed animal on the chair at the beginning? I thought maybe it was a stuffed Bova or something, but I think it’s just a bunny.
