Joe Burrow (Cinccinati Bengals) - Game Day and Grammys
Requested: no but someone asked about NFL imagines and the Pro Bowl and Grammys were on so how could I miss this opportunity?
Prompt: Joe Burrow x singer!girlfriend
Warnings: none other than it being long and full of fluff
Y/n sat in the plush chair of her hotel suite, a stylist curling sections of her hair while another dabbed powder on her already flawless face. The room buzzed with quiet excitement—her team murmuring about last-minute dress fittings, run-throughs, and camera angles. After all, tonight was the biggest night of her career. Five Grammy nominations. Five.
But her attention? Completely divided. On the sleek flatscreen across the room, the Pro Bowl was in full swing. Her boyfriend, Joe Burrow, was out there, tossing passes and leading drives while she got glammed up for music’s biggest stage. She’d wished she could be there, but the Grammys and the game fell on the same night, and there was no way to be in two places at once.
Her phone vibrated in her lap. Another text from Joe.
Joe: This is so much fun. Wish you were here
She grinned, typing back quickly.
Y/n: Wish I was too. But you better be focused, Burrow. No interceptions.
Another buzz.
Joe: No INTs. Just vibes. Also… scored a touchdown. No big deal.
Y/n let out a laugh, her lips quirking as she typed her reply.
Y/n: A touchdown?? Damn, you haven’t scored one of those in a while.
Her stylist stifled a giggle behind her. "Good news?" She smirked. "Joe just ran one in himself." Her phone buzzed again.
Joe: Wow. The slander.
Joe: But fair.
Joe: Good luck tonight, superstar.
Joe: Ja'Marr said if you win two tonight, that makes it 9 grammys you have ever won
Joe: And guess what my number is?
Y/n chuckled at the coincidence. No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing, they were always supporting each other.
Y/n: Alright, QB1. Ill get the Grammy's you worry about not getting tagged.
With one last glance at the game, she turned back to the mirror, ready to take on her own championship night.
The flashbulbs were blinding as Y/n posed on the red carpet, her dress hugging her perfectly while she effortlessly smiled at the cameras. The energy was electric; reporters calling out her name, fans screaming behind the barricades. She was used to this, but tonight felt different. Bigger.
As she moved down the carpet, she began her interviews, each asking the same old question that she had rehearsed about a million times. How does it feel to be nominated 5 times? She had been nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Pop Vocal Album and Music Video of the Year. She had been to the grammys before but she had only ever been nominated twice each year. Granted, she did win them, racking up an astonishing 7 grammys in just 4 years, but her once edgey music had shifted to softer love songs, all thanks to a certain quarter back.
She smiled as she moved on down the carpet to her last interviewer, a little kid who she had seen on tik tok time and time again. "Oh my gosh, hello!" She smiled as she did her best to get down onto the kid's level. Her calf were killing her from the heels standing, nevermind squatting down. "You look beautiful. I love the dress." She said. "Thank you! And you look so beautiful too." The child replied. "I have a few questions for you if thats okay?"
"Of course! I would love to hear them." Y/n said warmly as she held her own microphone. "So, obviously this is your record for the most amount of Gammys that you have been nominated for. If you could go back in time and tell your younger self that this would be happening, what would you say?" Finally a way to answer the question of how she felt about being nominated that didn't involve her rehearsed answer. "I think I would tell my younger self to keep going, to believe in myself and don't put the guitar down because it's gotten me this far." Y/n replied. "Your album Nine Sunday Mornings was a very abrupt change in your music. It was more edgey and angsty the last time you were here-" Y/n laughed at the very blunt question. "Why do you think this change happened or is it because you just got bored of that genre?" Now that was a good question.
"I mean, as you said it was a big change. I mean any love song I wrote before was scrapped because I thought it was too sappy so I stuck to breakup songs or rage songs. I think the change came in meeting Joe. From the songs right down to the title it's all him. I remember the very night I met him I stayed up nearly all night writing about the like 5 minute encounter we had and now it's nominated tonight so. I have to give credit where credit is due." She answered. "Have you been keeping up with the Pro Bowl?" Y/n laughed, adjusting the Grammy-branded microphone in her hand. "Of course! I have it on in my hotel room. Joe keeps texting me updates, so I think I might have a better play-by-play than some of the commentators."
Her manager tapped her shoulder to tell her to make her way inside, so she bid the mini-reporter farewell and walked in to the packed venue.
Once inside, Y/n glanced around, trying to spot her team. The Grammys were always a production, but tonight, the room felt even bigger. Row after row of tables and glowing stage lights. She turned in circles, scanning the room. Where were they? Her manager, her producer, anyone?
"Y/n?"
She spun around to see Jack approaching, looking as effortlessly cool as ever. "Hey, are you okay?" She let out a slightly embarrassed laugh. "Yeah, I just… I can’t find my seat. I have no idea where my team is." Before Jack could respond, a familiar voice chimed in.
"She can sit with us!"
Y/n turned to see Taylor Swift standing a few feet away, a warm smile on her face. Taylor, dressed in an elegant yet edgy ensemble, motioned toward her table. "If you don’t mind sitting with us, of course." Y/n hesitated for a second. She didn’t want to intrude- Taylor was with her own crew, and this was a huge night for her, too. "Are you sure?" She asked cautiously.
"Of course! Come on." Taylor said, looping an arm around her gently as they started walking toward the table. "Besides, we have a lot to talk about. I can't believe this is the first time we're meeting." Y/n chuckled, relaxing a little as she took a seat beside her. "Are you going to the Super Bowl?" Taylor asked after a moment.
Y/n shook her head. "No, I’ve never actually been. I told myself I wouldn’t go until Joe is the one playing in it." Taylor’s brows lifted in amusement. "Oh that is goals."
"Plus, I’m heading to his family’s house to watch it with them." She added. "I think it’ll be more special that way." Taylor smiled knowingly. "There’s nothing like watching a game with the people who love him most. Honestly, I think you guys are gonna be there next year." Y/n nodded, already picturing herself in the Burrow family’s living room, wearing one of Joe’s sweatshirts, surrounded by his parents and siblings. It felt right. "Honestly, I don't wanna be too picky but I want a Bengals and 49ers Superbowl. That would cure the world, I think."
"That would be a good one."
Just then, the lights dimmed, signaling the start of the show. Y/n took a deep breath, ready to take on the night—Grammys, football updates, and all.
Joe stretched his arms over his head as he stepped into the hotel lobby, still buzzing from the Pro Bowl. The game had been fun, a rare chance to play a little looser, joke around with the guys, and even run in a touchdown himself—something Y/n was sure to remind him about later. His teammates followed behind him, still hyped up from the day. "Alright." Ja’Marr announced, clapping his hands. "Let’s turn on the Grammys. Gotta see Y/n win some trophies since Joe isn’t bringing any silverwear home."
Joe grinned as he nudged Ja'Marr for that dig, leading the way to the suite where they all piled onto the couches, flipping the TV on just in time to catch the ceremony in full swing. The room filled with snacks, drinks, and casual conversation, but anytime Y/n appeared on the screen, the guys would nudge Joe, who was watching intently, phone in hand, ready to text her.
Then came Best Pop-Vocal Album of the Year.
Joe sat forward, hands clasped as they listed the nominees. He knew how much work Y/n had put into this album—how many late nights, how many times she’d called him exhausted but excited, how much of her heart was poured into every track.
"And the Grammy goes to…"
Not her.
Joe exhaled, lips pressing together as he watched her smile and clap for the winner. She was graceful as ever, but he knew her well enough to see the flicker of disappointment in her eyes. "She said she was gonna be surprised if she got that one. She like, knew Sabrina was winning that hands down."
Then came Record of the Year.
Not her again.
"She got robbed." Russell Wilson muttered. "Bro, you're gonna be the first one singing Not Like Us at the halftime show next weekend." Lamar Jackson replied. "She's in like the toughest categories." James Cook added. Joe didn’t say anything, just shook his head. He hated seeing her not get what she deserved, but he knew Y/n. Knew she’d keep smiling, keep pushing forward. And damn it, he’d keep cheering her on, just like she always did for him.
It didn't matter. 2 down, 3 to go. Music Video of the Year.
Joe sat up straight. He knew this one mattered to her, too. Her video had been a passion project, something she’d fought to bring to life exactly the way she envisioned it. The competition was stacked—the other nominees had incredible visuals, and any of them could take it. Y/n sat at her table, her hands clasped in her lap, holding her breath. Joe could practically feel her nerves through the screen.
"She’s got this." He murmured. "She’s got this, she’s got this, she’s got this, come on, baby."
The presenter opened the envelope.
"And the Grammy goes to… Y/n Y/l/n!"
Y/n gasped, letting out the breath she’d been holding. Taylor pulled her into a tight hug as the entire table erupted into cheers. Joe leapt off the couch, throwing his hands in the air. "Let's go! Yes! Wooh!" The suite exploded with excitement- Ja’Marr was shouting, some of the guys were recording Joe’s reaction, and others were laughing as Joe jumped up, singing along to the snippet of Y/n’s song that played as she made her way to the stage.
On the screen, Y/n’s smile was blinding, eyes slightly glossy as she accepted her award. Joe grinned, pride swelling in his chest. She’d done it. Just like she always did. "Oh my god, wow." She began. "I’ll be honest, I did not expect Music Video of the Year. There had been some amazing Music Videos so I just wanted to congratulate my fellow nominees and their directors." Joe clapped as he listened to her. "I want to thank my team, the fans, my family and all of you who voted for the video. My boyfriend Joe of course, who may or may not be still playing his game of tag football but I'm gonna thank him anyway." His face grew red. "I think that's all I have to say to be honest. Maybe I'll see you up here again pretty soon."
Joe lounged back on the couch, finally feeling like he could relax a little after all the emotional whiplash of the night ao far and he was still buzzing from it. "She’s performing next." Ja’Marr pointed out, nodding toward the TV. Joe sat up again, straightening his hoodie as the camera panned to the stage. The lights dimmed, and then—there she was.
His girl.
Y/n stood center stage, bathed in golden light, singing a balld version of her nominated song. She wore the most stunning outfit—a gold sparkling, elegant number that hugged her perfectly. She looked ethereal. "Jesus Christ." Joe muttered under his breath before saying a little louder, "Her outfit is so pretty." Some of the guys laughed. "Yeah, it is." Ja'Marr teased with a smirk. "You good over there, Burrow?" Russell asked, causing all the other guys to take notice of his blushing face and tease him further.
Joe just waved them off, eyes locked on the screen. Then, just as the song picked up, she reached down, grabbed the edges of her outfit, and-
Riiiipppp
The elegant gown was gone, revealing a bold, dazzling second outfit underneath—sleek, fun, and perfect for dancing. "Oh my God." Joe groaned, immediately hiding his face in his hands as the entire room exploded. The guys were shouting, laughing, some recording his reaction as they all clapped and cheered. "Ayyy! Okay, Y/n!" Ja'Marr called.
Joe shook his head, chuckling as his ears burned. He peeked through his fingers just in time to see her seamlessly transition into the next part of the performance, moving with ease, completely in her element. She was dancing, smiling, engaging the crowd like she was born for this moment. "I didn't know she could move like that! Damn!" Trey said.
Joe dropped his hands, watching as Y/n held the mic out, getting the entire crowd to sing along with her. She looked so happy, completely in control of the stage, like she was having the time of her life. Joe smiled. His teammates might have been teasing him, but he didn’t care. He was just so damn proud of her. As the song ended, she looked aroukd for the camera that would be zooming in on her. She spotted it and winked, before blowing a kiss right to it. Joe reached for the imaginaru kiss and put it to his heart as the guys teased him even further for it.
Joe sat back against the couch, his arm draped over the back as the next category came up—Song of the Year.
"Alright, this one’s huge." Ja’Marr said, leaning forward. Joe nodded, eyes locked on the screen. Y/n had poured everything into this song and she loved it the most for reason unknown to him, and even though she’d already won Music Video of the Year, he wanted this for her. Badly.
The nominees were stacked— some of the biggest songs of the year, including Y/n’s. The room quieted as the presenter opened the envelope.
"nd the Grammy goes to… Kendrick Lamar, Not Like Us!"
Joe exhaled, shaking his head, but before he could react, he spotted Y/n on screen, grinning and dancing along to the snippet of Not Like Us that played through the venue speakers. Joe burst out laughing. "She doesn’t seem too bothered." Trey snickered. "Bro, she looks kinda tipsy."
The whole room chuckled as they watched Y/n dancing up out of her seat singing along as Kendrick made his way to the stage. She was still clapping and smiling, showing nothing but love for the win, and Joe couldn’t help but admire how effortlessly cool she was about it. "She’s just vibin'." Joe said with a smirk, shaking his head.
And then finally came Album of the Year.
Her final nomination.
Joe sat up one last time, his heart pounding a little harder. He could see Y/n on screen, hands clasped together, her lips pressed tight as she waited. The tension in the room was thick, even through the television.
The presenter opened the envelope.
"And the Grammy goes to… Y/n Y/l/n, Nine Sunday Mornings!"
She didn’t move.
She didn’t react at first—just sat there, eyes wide, mouth slightly open. Joe felt like the air had been sucked out of the room before he erupted. "Yes! Let's go baby!" He jumped up again, fists in the air as his teammates laughed, recording his reaction for the second time that night. "That’s my girl! That’s my girl!" He cheered, pacing the room as the suite filled with whoops and applause.
Back on the screen, Y/n finally stood, still in complete shock. As she made her way up to the stage, she kept shaking her head, her mouth open as if she still couldn’t believe it. She took the award in her hands, staring down at it, blinking before looking around. The crowd chuckled. She looked up at the mic, then back at the award. "What?" She squeaked.
Laughter rippled through the audience. Joe grinned, shaking his head. He could practically hear her thoughts—How? Against all those incredible albums? She took a deep breath, exhaling sharply, still looking down at the trophy. "I—I don’t even know what to say, honestly I'm a little drunk so-" Joe smiled proudly, watching her collect herself and begin her speech. She had done it. Two Grammys in one night. And even though he wasn’t there in person, he cheered for her just as loudly as she did for him on Sundays.
"I want to thank the incredible Jack Antanoff for helping me produce this album first and foremost, my team also. But there is one person in particular who I will ramble on about because he was the inspiration for every single song I wrote since the 9th of December 2023, when we first met." Joe felt his eyes watering upon hearing it. He didn’t lile seeing her cry, it often meant he would cry too. "The album itself is a hommage to the fact that it took just nine sunday mornings for us to decide we wanted to become a couple and honestly, those 9 Sunday mornings were the best I could have ever lived through because I got to fall in love with the love of my life." Joe wiped his eyes, lookong down as Ja'Marr patted his back in support. "Joe, wherever you are, I wanted you to know that this award is for you, you can put it right next to the Heisman and my other 8 Grammy's."
Joe chuckled lightly as her little dig. "And just in case this wasnt a clincidence enough already- I'm going to shout out Ja'Marr Chase for this information- this is my ninth Grammy, and its for Cinccinati's number 9." The microphone cut out, singalling that her time for speaking was up. She mouthed a very animated 'I love you' to the camera before smiling and heading off the stage.
As soon as Y/n sat back down at her table, she reached for her phone. Her hands were slightly shaking—part adrenaline, part sheer excitement. The night had been a whirlwind, and there was only one person she needed to talk to right now. She hit Joe’s contact, pressing the phone to her ear as the Grammys continued around her. The line barely rang once before he picked up.
"Baby!" She let out a breathless laugh. "Joe!"
"Oh my God!" He said, and she could hear the pure excitement in his voice. "You were insane. I mean first of all, two Grammys? And then that performance? What was that outfit change? You’re trying to kill me?" Y/n giggled, running a hand through her hair. "Did you like it?"
"Like it? Babe, I almost had a heart attack. These guys aren't gonna let me live it down." She laughed again, picturing Joe hiding his face in his hands while all his guys teased him. "I was just thinking about you the whole time." She admitted, voice a little softer now. "I figured you were watching."
"Of course I was watching." He said immediately. "Are you kidding? We had the Grammys on as soon as we got back. I was cheering for you all night." Y/n smiled, glancing down at her awards sitting in front of her. "It still doesn’t feel real. I mean…Album of the Year? What?"
"You earned that, Y/n. No one deserved it more." She bit her lip, warmth spreading through her chest. "I mean, Billie should have won it." She replied. "Oh my God, I'm gonna cry again."
"No, don't cry." He said quickly. "Not unless it’s happy tears." She laughed, leaning back in her chair. "How was the Pro Bowl? I feel like I barely got to ask you." Joe chuckled. "It was fun. I mean we lost, but it was fun."
"What was the score?" She asked. "Like 76 to 63 or somethin' like that?" He looked around for nods of approval. "Did I mention I scored?" Y/n chuckled. "Yeah and as I said before I haven’t seen you do that in a while."
"Okay, woah." He deadpanned, and she could hear his teammates laughing in the background. "I’m kidding." She teased. "I’m proud of you."
"I'm proud of you too, baby." Y/n exhaled, her whole body finally starting to relax after the chaos of the night. "I just wish you were here."
"Yeah, I know." Joe said softly. "But I’ll see you tomorrow. And then we can celebrate properly." She grinned. "Deal."
"I love you, Baby."
"Love you too, Shiesty "
As she hung up, she clutched her phone to her chest, still smiling. It had been a night to remember— and she couldn’t wait to get home to him.

PINEWOOD STUDIOS — MORNING
The hum of set life surrounded you like a familiar melody—the rhythmic chatter of crew members, the distant clatter of equipment being adjusted, the occasional burst of laughter from someone off-camera. You moved through it all with ease, exchanging quick words with a fellow PA as you double-checked the last-minute details before call time.
You didn’t notice him watching you.
Pedro sat in the makeup chair, already in costume, his eyes drifting away from the mirror as Coco worked her hands through his hair. His body was still, but his mind was somewhere else. Or rather—on someone else.
It was the way you tilted your head as someone from production rattled off instructions, your brows furrowing slightly in concentration. The way you shifted your weight from one foot to the other, nodding once before offering a soft, assured smile. You weren’t just hearing what they were saying—you were listening, absorbing every detail like you belonged here. Like you had always belonged.
He felt something tighten in his chest.
God, you made him feel strange.
It was the words that stuck in his throat when you were near, the way his pulse stuttered for no damn reason. The way his thoughts—usually so steady, so controlled—felt unruly around you. It was dizzying. Unsettling.
It had been a long time since he’d felt like this. Since he’d been caught so completely off guard by someone.
And yet, he couldn’t stop himself from looking for you.
In the crowd. In the moments between takes. In the quiet spaces where he thought maybe—just maybe—you were looking for him, too.
PINEWOOD STUDIOS — AFTERNOON
Lunch break rolled around, bringing a much-needed lull in the day’s chaos. The crew scattered—some retreating to their trailers, others grabbing quick bites from catering, the energy shifting into something looser, more relaxed.
Your phone buzzed just as you were sitting down at one of the outdoor tables, the screen lighting up with a message.
Pedro: Wanna grab a bite later?
You smiled to yourself, thumbs already moving across the screen.
You: I do, but I kinda wanna hang with my friends for a bit too.
His response came almost immediately.
Pedro: Oh yeah, of course. Mind if I tag along?
You hesitated for half a second. Not because you didn’t want him there—but because you weren’t sure if he really wanted to be there.
You: Are you sure?
Pedro: Obviously.
So that’s how Pedro Pascal ended up at lunch with you and your friends, settling into the group like he had always belonged there.
He was easy to talk to, of course. He charmed his way through introductions, seamlessly jumping into conversations, laughing in all the right places, making everyone feel like they were the most interesting person in the room. But his attention always had a way of drifting back to you.
The way you scrunched your nose as you tried to pick apart a joke someone had made. The way your eyes lit up as you talked about some old inside story with your friends. The way you were currently demolishing a cookie like it was the best thing you’d ever tasted.
Pedro noticed.
He didn’t say anything, but he noticed.
His lips twitched as you took another enthusiastic bite, completely unaware of his amusement.
There were other things, too—subtle things. The brush of his knee against yours under the table, lingering just a second longer than necessary. The way his fingers would graze your wrist when he leaned in to say something, as if testing the waters. The way his eyes would flick to your lips when you spoke before quickly darting away, as if he hadn’t meant to.
And then, of course, there was the teasing.
"Did you even taste that cookie, or did you just inhale it?" Pedro mused, finally breaking his silence, amusement lacing his voice.
You swallowed the last bite, leveling him with a mock glare. "It’s really good."
He smirked. "Clearly."
"Don’t judge me."
"Never." The word came softer than expected, a little too sincere for just teasing. His gaze held yours for a beat longer than necessary, something unreadable flickering behind his eyes.
Your heart stuttered.
He looked away first, but not before you caught the slightest hint of pink creeping up the tips of his ears. It was such a small thing—barely there, really—but you noticed. And it made something warm unfurl in your chest.
The conversation around the table carried on, your friends swapping stories and teasing each other between bites of food. Pedro chimed in here and there, laughing along, but every now and then, you felt his gaze flick back to you.
You were hyper-aware of him now. The way his arm rested casually on the back of your chair, not quite touching but close enough that you could feel his warmth. The way his fingers absentmindedly drummed against the table, his other hand occasionally brushing against yours as he reached for his drink.
Then, he sighed, pulling his phone from his pocket, frowning slightly at the screen.
"Ugh, my phone’s about to die."
Without hesitation, you reached into your bag, pulling out your power bank and a charging cord. "Oh, no worries, here—use this."
Pedro blinked, momentarily caught off guard.
You handed it over without a second thought, already turning back to your food. But he didn’t move to plug his phone in right away. Instead, he just looked at you, something unreadable in his expression.
His fingers brushed against yours as he took the charger, his touch lingering just a fraction longer than necessary.
“You just carry this around with you?” he asked, his voice quieter now, something softer beneath the teasing edge.
You shrugged, popping another bite of food into your mouth. “Yeah, of course. Never know when you might need it.”
His lips quirked, but he didn’t say anything right away.
Instead, he plugged in his phone, then glanced back at you, shaking his head slightly like he couldn’t quite believe you.
"What?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
Pedro exhaled a small laugh, tucking the power bank into his lap like it was something precious. "Nothing. You’re just—" He paused, searching for the right word, before finally settling on, "—thoughtful."
Something about the way he said it made your stomach flip.
You swallowed, suddenly feeling self-conscious under his gaze. "It’s just a charger, Pedro."
"Yeah," he murmured, still watching you. "I know."
But his expression said something else entirely.
You weren’t sure what to do with that look—the quiet weight of his gaze, the way he seemed to be memorizing you like you were something worth studying. So, instead of dwelling on it, you reached into your bag and pulled out your notepad and pen.
Doodling had always been second nature to you. Something to keep your hands busy while your mind wandered. While your friends continued chatting, their voices washing over you in waves, you let your pen glide over the paper in absentminded strokes.
Pedro, however, wasn’t nearly as distracted.
From the corner of his eye, he watched, his attention flicking between you and the small spirals and shapes forming beneath your fingers. It was mesmerizing in a way he didn’t expect. The way your brow furrowed ever so slightly when you concentrated. The way your pen tapped softly against the pad before committing to a new line.
He shifted in his seat, subtly angling himself so he could get a better look.
It wasn’t just mindless scribbles.
You were sketching. Really sketching.
A rough outline of the restaurant table, the glasses, the crumpled napkins. And just beside that, the faint beginnings of a face—strong jaw, slightly furrowed brows, lips curved at the edges as if they were on the verge of a smirk.
His lips.
Pedro’s throat tightened.
"That me?" he asked, voice pitched just low enough for only you to hear.
Your pen paused mid-stroke, and you glanced up at him, caught. He wasn’t teasing, not really. If anything, there was something almost—fond—about the way he was looking at you.
You shrugged, offering a sheepish smile. "Maybe."
Pedro huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. "I didn’t know you could draw."
"It’s just something I do when I’m listening," you admitted, flipping the page like it was nothing.
But he didn’t think it was nothing.
He wanted to say something else, something lighthearted to keep you from looking so shy about it, but before he could, one of your friends called your name, pulling your attention away.
Pedro exhaled, leaning back in his seat, but his gaze lingered on you for a moment longer.
Thoughtful. Talented.
Yeah. He was absolutely in trouble.
PINEWOOD STUDIOS — AFTERNOON
The shift in the air was subtle at first, almost imperceptible.
But you felt it.
It was the way certain conversations would quiet just as you approached. The way people who had once been warm and welcoming now exchanged knowing glances when they thought you weren’t looking. The way whispers followed in your wake, hushed giggles that felt anything but good-natured.
And at the center of it all was Cecilia.
She was the kind of woman people noticed when she walked into a room—stunning, sharp-witted, and utterly ruthless when it came to getting what she wanted.
And for whatever reason, she had decided that you were a problem.
At first, it was small things. A pointed look. A lingering smirk. A brush of her shoulder against yours as she passed by.
But then, it escalated.
"Did you hear?" one of her friends whispered just loud enough as you walked by. "She totally forced her way onto this project. Some kind of nepotism thing, I bet."
"Ugh, so cringe," another voice giggled. "She acts all sweet, but like, we know the truth."
You gritted your teeth, kept your head down, and moved along.
You weren’t stupid. You knew exactly what this was. Psychological warfare disguised as petty gossip. You’d seen it before, and you'd see it again.
The worst part?
You refused to let it get to you.
At least, that’s what you told yourself.
Pedro noticed.
It started with the way you brushed things off too quickly, like you were trying not to care. The way your usual smiles didn’t quite reach your eyes. The way your laugh—one of his new favorite sounds—had dulled just a fraction, too forced, too polite.
And Pedro wasn’t an idiot.
He saw the way Cecilia and her group slinked around set like vipers, the way their eyes always seemed to flick toward you before whispering behind manicured hands.
It pissed him off.
But when he asked about it, you just waved it away.
“Nothing’s wrong.” You shrugged, reaching for a prop clipboard. “Just tired. Long day.”
Pedro arched a brow. “Really? That’s it?”
“Yep.”
He studied you for a moment, then exhaled through his nose. “You’re a terrible liar.”
That made you scoff. “I am fine.”
“Uh-huh.” He crossed his arms, tilting his head slightly. “So, you’re totally cool with the whole… weird vibe around here lately?”
You hesitated. Just for a second.
It was enough.
“Pedro,” you sighed, shaking your head. “It’s not a big deal. I don’t care what they think, okay? It’s just… you know how some people are. They get bored.”
“They get mean,” he corrected.
You frowned, looking away.
He softened, tilting his head to meet your gaze. “You don’t have to pretend it doesn’t suck.”
You swallowed, fingers tightening around the clipboard.
“It doesn’t suck,” you insisted. “Because I don’t care.”
Pedro’s stare was unwavering, but you held your ground.
Because if you admitted it did hurt—if you let yourself feel it—you weren’t sure you’d be able to stop.
And you weren’t going to let them win.
Pedro sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Fine. You don’t care," he murmured. "But if you ever do care… you’ll tell me, right?"
Something in your chest tightened at that.
You forced a small, teasing smile. “Wow, Pedro. That almost sounded like a serious conversation.”
He rolled his eyes but smirked. "Yeah, yeah. Don’t get used to it."
And just like that, the tension cracked, relief flickering behind his gaze.
For now, he’d let you pretend you were fine.
But he’d also be watching.
TWO DAYS BEFORE THE WEEKEND…
PINEWOOD STUDIOS — MORNING
The next two days were a slow, grating kind of miserable.
It started with small things—so small that if you weren’t paying attention, you might have convinced yourself they were nothing. The way conversations would quiet just as you walked past, the barely-concealed laughter from across the room, the occasional, suspiciously misplaced item that had definitely been right where you left it.
It was the kind of thing that chipped away at you in small, insidious ways.
Like the way Cecilia and her friends would conveniently stand right where you needed to go, their backs turned but their voices just loud enough.
“I swear, some people just don’t belong here.”
You’d walk past without reacting, even as the words burrowed under your skin.
Or the way your neatly organized stack of call sheets had been mysteriously scattered all over the breakroom counter when you came back from a coffee run. No one claimed responsibility, but Cecilia had walked by, tossing you a slow, syrupy-sweet, “Oops, was that important?” before sauntering off.
You clenched your jaw. Breathed through it.
Not worth it.
But then there were the more deliberate moments.
Like the wardrobe rack incident.
You had been helping move costumes between trailers when Cecilia and one of her friends conveniently brushed past, sending a precariously hung dress tumbling to the ground.
“Oh no,” Cecilia pouted, pressing a hand to her chest with mock concern. “You should really be more careful.”
You bent to pick it up, biting back the sharp retort on the tip of your tongue. The last thing you needed was to give her the satisfaction of a reaction.
Still, your fingers trembled slightly as you smoothed out the fabric and rehung it.
Then, there was lunch.
You had been balancing a plate of food in one hand, your phone in the other, when one of Cecilia’s friends accidentally knocked your elbow in passing.
It was a tiny movement. Just enough to send your fork clattering to the floor, just enough to make you hesitate—because was it intentional? Or were you just being paranoid?
“Careful,” the girl sing-songed over her shoulder, giggling as she caught up with Cecilia.
You let out a slow breath. Swallowed back the lump in your throat.
Not worth it.
So you kept your head up, kept moving, kept going. You told yourself that if you didn’t acknowledge it, if you pretended it didn’t exist, then it couldn’t touch you.
Right?
But it did.
Because by the time you got back to your trailer that night, you had to sit on the edge of your bed and press the heels of your hands into your eyes, breathing slow, measured breaths to keep yourself from crying.
Because it was working.
Because no matter how much you told yourself you were fine, no matter how much you smiled and laughed and acted unbothered, the cracks were starting to show.
You barely had a moment to yourself.
Between running last-minute errands for production, keeping up with the crew’s rapid-fire instructions, and dodging the subtle but constant hostility radiating from Cecilia and her group, you were stretched thin.
The exhaustion was creeping in—settling in the space between your ribs, behind your eyes, in the way your shoulders sat just a little tighter than usual.
But you wouldn’t give them the satisfaction.
So you pushed through, past the carefully calculated inconveniences. The way they always seemed to cut in front of you when you were in a hurry, the stolen side-eyes and smirks exchanged whenever you spoke in a group, the way your things somehow always ended up in different places than you’d left them.
You pretended not to notice when Cecilia’s voice turned just a little too loud whenever she spoke to someone near you.
"Oh my god, you know what I hate? When people think just anyone can belong in this industry. Like… babe, you’re only here because they needed extra hands. It’s cute, though."
You told yourself not to react.
Even when Daisy—who had been standing beside you, her grip tightening on her clipboard—made a noise that sounded a lot like she was about to launch herself across the room.
“It’s whatever,” you had muttered, tugging her back before she could make a scene.
Daisy had narrowed her eyes. “It’s not whatever. She’s being a bitch.”
You had only sighed. “I know.”
Omar wasn’t as easily convinced.
The next morning, when you found him loitering near Cecilia’s usual coffee spot, arms crossed and expression unreadable, you had to physically drag him away before he did something stupid.
“Do not get yourself in trouble over this.”
“She’s messing with you,” he seethed. “I hate people like her.”
“She’s not worth it,” you said, but even to your own ears, your voice sounded too thin, too tight.
Omar wasn’t buying it. “Okay, but are you okay?”
You hesitated. The truth was, you weren’t sure anymore.
The worst part wasn’t the pettiness or the whispered insults—it was the fact that it was working. That somehow, in all the noise and nonsense, they had managed to make you feel small.
But admitting that felt too much like defeat.
So you forced a smile. “I’m fine.”
Omar gave you a long, knowing look before muttering something under his breath and stalking off.
That afternoon, as you sat on a bench outside the studio, your notebook balanced on your lap, you felt a shadow fall over you.
“Hey,” Pedro’s voice was soft.
You glanced up, startled. “Oh. Hey.”
His brows knit together. “You okay?”
You blinked. “What?”
“You’ve been… different.” His voice was measured, careful. “Quieter.”
You tried to play it off, shaking your head with a small laugh. “I’m just tired. Long shoot days, you know how it is.”
Pedro didn’t look convinced.
For a moment, he just stood there, watching you with that steady, unreadable gaze of his. Like he was sifting through the words you weren’t saying, trying to make sense of them.
Then, without another word, he sat down beside you.
Close enough that his arm brushed against yours.
You tensed, just slightly, before exhaling.
Neither of you spoke for a moment.
Then—
“Can I see?” he asked, nodding toward your notebook.
You hesitated.
It was just mindless doodles—tiny flowers curling around the corners of the pages, half-finished sketches of set pieces, a rough outline of something that might have been Pedro’s profile if you hadn’t abandoned it halfway through.
You felt a little embarrassed, but you handed it to him anyway.
Pedro flipped through the pages, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “These are really good.”
You rolled your eyes. “They’re just sketches.”
“Still,” he murmured, fingers skimming over the paper. “They’re yours.”
There was something about the way he said it—soft, sincere—that made your stomach tighten.
For the first time in two days, something in you eased.
You let out a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
And when Pedro leaned in, just slightly, warmth radiating from his shoulder where it rested against yours, you didn’t move away.
Pedro was still flipping through your sketches when a sharp, saccharine voice cut through the air.
“Oh wow, there you are, Pedro. I was wondering when you’d finally come up for air.”
Cecilia.
You felt your whole body go rigid.
Pedro barely glanced up, his fingers still tracing one of your sketches absentmindedly. “Hey.” His voice was flat, distracted.
She took a step closer, her presence invasive in a way that made your skin prickle. “I was just telling the others how dedicated you are to your work. You know, always finding ways to get into character.” Her gaze flicked toward you, her smile not quite reaching her eyes. “Even off set.”
You swallowed hard.
Your chest felt tight, exhaustion pressing against your ribs, making it harder to keep your expression neutral. You were already hanging by a thread, stretched too thin over the last two days, and Cecilia knew it.
Pedro, still looking down at your notebook, gave a vague hum of acknowledgment, barely engaging. It wasn’t the reaction Cecilia had been hoping for, and you could see it. The way her expression twitched for half a second before smoothing over again.
She tilted her head, the corners of her mouth curling. “It’s sweet, though. That you take the time to entertain people. I mean, it’s not like everyone gets that kind of attention from you.” She let out a light, airy laugh that made your stomach turn. “Guess it pays to be in the right place at the right time, huh?”
The implication was clear.
You clenched your jaw, willing yourself not to react.
But then—
“Cecilia,” Pedro’s voice was calm, but there was an edge to it now. His fingers tapped against the notebook, his expression unreadable. “What are you doing?”
Cecilia blinked, all faux innocence. “What do you mean?”
Pedro finally lifted his head, and when he met her gaze, something in his expression shifted—something sharp, something distinctly unimpressed.
“I mean, what are you doing?” His voice was just as smooth as before, but there was weight behind it now. “Because if you’re here to talk about the shoot, you should probably be talking to the crew.”
Cecilia’s smile faltered.
It was subtle, but you caught it.
She opened her mouth, probably to smooth things over, but Pedro was already looking back at you, tilting the notebook toward you slightly, as if she weren’t even standing there.
“You should finish this one,” he murmured, tapping his finger against the half-finished sketch of his profile. “It’s really good.”
You could feel Cecilia’s eyes burning into you, but Pedro wasn’t giving her anything to work with.
Her lips parted, like she might try again, but then she seemed to think better of it. Instead, she let out a small, sharp exhale through her nose, rolling her eyes as she turned on her heel and stalked off.
The moment she was gone, you let out a slow, shaky breath, your hands gripping your notebook a little tighter.
Pedro glanced over, brow furrowed. “You okay?”
You nodded, even though your throat was tight. “I just…” A deep inhale. “I think I need a break.”
Pedro studied you for a long moment. Then, without a word, he reached out, resting his hand over yours where it lay against the bench.
Warm. Steady.
Grounding.
“Let’s take one, then,” he murmured.
And for the first time in days, you let yourself lean into it.
The evening air was crisp, carrying the lingering scent of rain on the pavement as the last of the crew wrapped up for the day. You were exhausted, your body aching from hours on set, but when Pedro leaned in—voice low and warm—you felt something in you unwind.
“Wanna grab dinner before heading back?”
You blinked up at him, a little caught off guard. “Like… out-out?”
His lips quirked into a small smile, hands slipping into the pockets of his jeans. “Yeah. Out-out.”
You hesitated, glancing around as crew members bustled past, some already heading toward the shuttle van waiting to take everyone back to the hotel. “But, like… what if people see me with you?”
Pedro gave you a look. “So?”
“So… you’re you,” you gestured vaguely at him, “and I’m just—”
He cut you off with a quiet scoff, shaking his head. “Nope. We’re not doing that again. You’re you. And I wanna have dinner with you. End of discussion.”
The finality in his tone made your stomach flip.
You bit your lip, then nodded. “…Okay.”
Pedro’s face softened, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he bumped your shoulder lightly. “Good.”
By the time you both made it to the shuttle van, most of the cast and crew were already piling in.
Vanessa was the first to notice. She raised an eyebrow, a slow grin spreading across her face. “Ohhh, where are you two off to?”
Before you could answer, Joseph leaned forward from his seat. “Are we witnessing a secret rendezvous?”
Ebon chuckled, shaking his head. “A little late-night dinner date?”
Coco, already buckled in, smirked knowingly. “Have funnnn,” she teased, dragging out the last syllable.
You rolled your eyes, heat creeping up your neck. Pedro, for his part, was completely unfazed, flashing them an easy smile as he opened the door for you. “Don’t wait up,” he called, earning a chorus of laughter and whistles from the others as he shut it behind you.
The restaurant wasn’t far—a quiet little spot tucked away from the main streets. The walk there was peaceful, the city buzzing around you but never pressing in too close.
Pedro, dressed down in a hoodie, jeans, a baseball cap, and his glasses, was trying his best to blend in. But even like this, effortlessly casual, he still had a presence. He still walked like he took up space, like the world had to move around him.
The height difference was almost comical. You felt it every time he turned his head down to look at you, every time his arm brushed against yours.
“You sure you’re okay?” he asked suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence.
You glanced up at him, caught off guard. “What?”
Pedro gave you a look, one that made it clear he wasn’t buying whatever act you thought you were pulling. “Cecilia.”
Your stomach twisted.
You exhaled slowly, shaking your head. “It’s not a big deal.”
Pedro stopped walking.
You took two more steps before realizing, turning back to find him standing there, arms crossed, brows drawn together in frustration.
He looked at you, really looked at you. “Of course, it’s a big deal,” he said, voice quieter now but firm. “If it’s hurting you, it’s a big deal.”
You swallowed.
The weight of his concern settled over you, warm and heavy. No one had ever really said that before. That what you were feeling mattered. That you weren’t just overreacting.
Something in your chest cracked open, just a little.
“…I just don’t want to make a thing out of it,” you admitted, voice small.
Pedro’s features softened. He stepped closer, dipping his head slightly to meet your eyes. “You don’t have to,” he murmured. “But you don’t have to pretend it doesn’t bother you, either.”
A lump formed in your throat.
And then, just as easily as he had turned serious, he pulled back, tilting his head toward the restaurant. “C’mon. Food first, then we plot Cecilia’s demise.”
A laugh bubbled out of you before you could stop it.
Pedro grinned, pleased with himself, before nudging your shoulder with his own.
And as you walked the rest of the way, some of the weight on your chest didn’t feel quite so heavy anymore.
The restaurant was dimly lit, warm and intimate in a way that made the rest of the world feel far away. Soft jazz hummed through the air, mixing with the quiet murmur of conversation and the occasional clinking of glasses. The hostess greeted you both with a polite smile, barely sparing a glance at Pedro—either because she didn’t recognize him or, more likely, was being professional about it.
Pedro let you choose the table, and you picked one near the window, a cozy little booth that felt tucked away from the rest of the diners. As you slid into your seat, Pedro pulled off his cap, running a hand through his messy curls before setting it down on the table.
He looked… comfortable. Relaxed. And yet, there was still something unreadable in his expression as he watched you settle in.
“You know,” he started, leaning forward on his elbows, “I’m kind of mad at you.”
You blinked, caught off guard. “What? Why?”
“Because,” he huffed, “I’ve been trying to get you alone for days, and the first time it actually happens, it’s because some Mean Girls knockoff has been making your life miserable.”
You snorted. “So dramatic.”
“I am dramatic,” he agreed, eyes crinkling at the corners. “But seriously. I don’t like that it took this for me to get to steal you away.”
There was something in the way he said it—lighthearted, sure, but laced with something else. Something quieter. More honest.
Your stomach flipped.
Before you could figure out how to respond, the waiter appeared, handing over menus. Pedro thanked him with a charming smile before glancing back at you. “What are you in the mood for?”
You shrugged, scanning the options. “Something warm.”
Pedro hummed. “Soup?”
“Maybe.”
“Or,” he wiggled his eyebrows, “we get a huge plate of pasta and reenact Lady and the Tramp.”
You rolled your eyes, laughing. “Absolutely not.”
Pedro placed a hand over his heart in mock offense. “Wow. That was a little too fast. Like you’ve thought about rejecting me before.”
You bit your lip, trying to fight the smile threatening to break free. He made it so easy to forget the exhaustion pressing down on you, the weight of the last few days.
The waiter came back, and you both placed your orders—him getting some kind of hearty stew, you settling on a creamy pasta dish. The conversation flowed as effortlessly as ever, touching on everything and nothing all at once.
At some point, Pedro leaned back in his seat, stretching his legs out beneath the table. His knee brushed against yours, but he didn’t move away. Neither did you.
“So.” His voice was softer now, less teasing. “Cecilia.”
You sighed, slumping slightly. “Can we not?”
“We can,” Pedro allowed. “But I still hate it.”
You fiddled with the hem of your sleeve, tracing the fabric between your fingers. “It’s not like she’s saying anything outright cruel. Just little things. Looks. Comments. Stuff that doesn’t sound like much but still…”
Pedro’s jaw ticked. His fingers drummed absently against the table. “That’s how people like her work. They know how to make you feel like you’re imagining it.”
You swallowed, looking down. “Yeah.”
A beat of silence stretched between you. Then—
“Do you want me to talk to her?”
Your head snapped up. “What? No.”
Pedro tilted his head, eyeing you. “Why not?”
“Because,” you exhaled sharply, “I don’t need you to fight my battles.”
His gaze softened, a flicker of something fond in his eyes. “I know you don’t. But I also know that you’re tired. And I hate seeing you like this.”
Something in you wavered.
Pedro sighed, rubbing a hand over his jaw. “I just—God, I don’t get it. How could anyone not adore you?”
Your breath hitched.
The words were so sincere, so effortless, like he wasn’t even trying to be charming—just saying what was in his heart.
Heat crept up your neck. You looked away, focusing on the flickering candle in the middle of the table. “You’re biased.”
“Maybe,” he admitted. “But that doesn’t mean I’m wrong.”
You let out a breathy laugh, shaking your head. “You’re ridiculous.”
Pedro grinned. “And yet, here you are. Having dinner with me.”
“Unfortunately.”
He clutched his chest in mock agony. “You wound me.”
The waiter arrived with your food, and Pedro’s dramatic antics were temporarily forgotten as the delicious aroma filled the air. As you picked up your fork, he reached across the table, his fingers brushing against the back of your hand—just for a second, just long enough to send a small shiver up your spine.
“Hey,” he murmured.
You glanced up, and for the first time all day, you felt seen.
“Don’t let her get to you,” Pedro said, voice gentle but firm. “You’re worth so much more than whatever bullshit she’s trying to pull.”
Something tightened in your chest.
You swallowed, nodding. “Okay.”
Pedro studied you for a moment, then smiled. “Good.”
The weight on your shoulders didn’t disappear entirely, but it softened, melted into something manageable under the glow of candlelight and Pedro’s unwavering attention. You let yourself relax, let yourself exist in this small, intimate moment where it was just the two of you, where the laughter was easy and the warmth between you was something real, something steady.
Pedro caught your gaze mid-conversation, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he leaned in just slightly. “There she is.”
You blinked, tilting your head. “What?”
“That smile,” he said simply. “Haven’t seen it in a while.”
Heat bloomed in your chest, warm and unfamiliar, something delicate but deep. You rolled your eyes, but it lacked any real bite. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And yet,” Pedro teased, mirroring your words from earlier, “here you are.”
You shook your head, lips twitching. “Unfortunate, really.”
Pedro pressed a dramatic hand to his chest. “Wow. First, I get turned down for Lady and the Tramp, and now this? My ego is in shambles.”
You laughed, a real, unguarded sound, and he grinned like that was exactly what he was hoping for.
The conversation stretched long into the night, ebbing and flowing between playful teasing and quiet sincerity. The kind of talk that felt effortless, that felt safe.
Somewhere between the last bites of food and the soft hum of the restaurant around you, Pedro reached across the table, his fingers skimming yours. The touch was featherlight, a quiet question rather than a demand. You could have pulled away.
But you didn’t.
Instead, you let your fingers curl around his, grounding, steady.
Pedro didn’t say anything—he just squeezed your hand, a silent promise, and you squeezed back.
Outside, the night air was crisp, carrying the distant sounds of the city with it. The restaurant door shut softly behind you, leaving you and Pedro standing beneath the glow of streetlights, his cap pulled low, his glasses perched on his nose.
It should have felt different—stepping back into reality after the small bubble of warmth inside the restaurant. But somehow, it didn’t.
Pedro rocked back on his heels, hands tucked into his pockets. “Still okay?”
You exhaled, watching as your breath curled into the night air. “Yeah,” you admitted, surprising yourself. “I think I am.”
Pedro studied you for a beat, then nodded, satisfied.
It turns out Vanessa, Coco, Joseph and Ebon got dinner somewhere else in town away from the two of you and they were waiting already in the shuttle and as soon as you both stepped inside, the teasing started. “Ohhh, look who finally decided to show up,” Vanessa sang, kicking her feet up on the seat in front of her, eyes sparkling with mischief.
Joseph smirked from his spot by the window, arms crossed over his chest. “How romantic was it, really? Scale of one to ten?”
Coco grinned. “I’m betting solid eight.” Ebon scoffed. “Nah, Pedro’s smooth—at least a nine.” Pedro sighed dramatically, pinching the bridge of his nose. “You guys seriously have nothing better to do?” Vanessa waved a hand. “Nope. Now spill.” You rolled your eyes, buckling your seatbelt as the van pulled away from the curb. “We ate dinner. Like normal people. And then we walked outside. Like normal people.” Coco squinted. “That’s exactly what someone who did kiss would say.” Pedro groaned, leaning his head back against the seat, while you fought the smile tugging at your lips. Joseph held out his hands. “Okay, okay, let’s be serious for a second. Was it cute at least?” You blinked at him. “Was what cute?” “The date—” “It wasn’t a date,” you and Pedro said at the same time. A pause.
Then Vanessa gasped, clutching her chest. “You’re already finishing each other’s sentences?” “Oh my God,” Pedro mumbled under his breath. The laughter rolled through the van, easy and infectious, and despite the relentless teasing, despite the way your face burned under their knowing looks, you couldn’t help but feel… good.
The knot in your chest—the one that had been coiled so tight these past few days—had loosened. Maybe not completely, but enough that breathing didn’t feel so hard. Pedro shifted beside you, turning his head so only you could hear him. “They’re never gonna let this go.” You sighed. “Yeah. I figured.” His shoulder brushed yours, a quiet reassurance, and when he spoke again, there was something soft in his voice. “You sure you’re okay?” You hesitated. Because truthfully, the weight of the past few days still sat heavy on your shoulders. Cecilia had made sure of that. The quiet digs, the passive-aggressive comments, the knowing smirks—it was a kind of exhaustion that seeped into your bones. But right now, in the warmth of this moment, with Pedro looking at you like he actually cared about the answer, you found yourself saying— “I think I will be.” Pedro studied you for a beat, then nodded, satisfied. It was a small thing—just a simple gesture, barely more than a shift of his head. But somehow, it carried more weight than it should have, like he was silently saying I see you. I hear you. You swallowed. It was nice to have a friend. But then—was that all this was? You glanced at him again, at the way he was sat with you so easily, like he’d always been meant to be there. At the way he felt beside you, like a quiet anchor in the storm of the last few days.

part 1 | part 2
you woke up to knocking on the door. lifting your head from the bed, you immediately felt your head pounding with a headache, making you groan quietly as you got up and left the bedroom. walking to the front door, you peer through the peephole and let out a sigh of relief to see manon.
you unlock and open the door, being met with the taller woman who was holding a convenience store bag in her hand.
“did you sleep?” manon questions, taking notice of the dark bags under your eyes mixed with the tear stain marks on your cheeks.
“a little.” you shrug, opening the door wider and walking further inside.
“better than nothing,” manon replies, walking in and shutting the door behind her. she follows you to the living room, setting the bag down on the coffee table as you sit on the couch and curl up into a ball in the corner. “here,” she rummages through the bag before pulling out two cans. “i didn't know if you'd want the redbull or the coffee, so.” she holds both of them in front of you.
“thanks,” you mumble, taking the energy drink from her hand and opening it.
a silence fills the apartment again, one that lasts a while before you finally manage to speak up.
“i don't know how to fix this,” you say quietly, making manon look over at you. “i doubt she wants to see me right now, or ever again.” you look down at the drink in your hand, finger spinning around the rim of the can. “i should’ve listened to her, then none of this would've happened.”
“it's okay,” manon says. “i mean, it's not, obviously, but it’ll be fine. you can't say that she probably doesn't want to see you, because we both know that she always wants to see you. whenever you're not around you are literally the only thing she talks about, and with what you told me about your last conversation, she probably thinks sophia forced you to do it – which she did, so i don't think she's mad at you exactly. if she is, i’d be surprised.” she pauses for a moment. “you have to just do it. get her out, and then you can talk it out. you can figure the rest out as you go.”
“yeah,” you murmur, still looking at the can in your hands.
“yn,” manon grabs one of your hands making you finally look at her. “i’ve known dani for years, she isn't going to be mad at you. when i say you are the only person she talks about, i mean literally you are the only person she cares about. i’ve seen her go through girls so fast that when she started talking about you i felt bad. i thought ‘well, there's another poor girl to add to her list’. but she said you were different. so i tried to believe her. now, i’m going to be honest with you here, okay? because i love and care about both of you very much, and i want you two to fix this, okay?” she stops, waiting for you to nod before continuing. “dani has said multiple times to multiple girls that they're different. so when she said it about you my first reaction was how you were going to get hurt. but things started changing, dani started changing. and that has never happened. you know dani is a pretty independent person, and what she does has her that way because of shit that's happened in the past, but to see her changing – changing for the better? i knew she was right about you.”
“not one other girl has even been able to remotely change one thing about dani,” manon continues. “she always kept them at a distance, she never let them get too close. and the day she told me she took you with her to one of the deals? something that she never let anyone do? i knew she seriously loved you. when she said that you insisted on going with her, she told me that she hesitated. but not for the same reason it usually was. she wanted to protect you. she always wants to protect you, yn. but she lets you come with. she trusts you with the money. she trusts you with certain clients. she trusts you. she loves you. no one else. i don't know why she did what she did, but i know she regrets it. you are the best thing that's ever happened to her, and i don't want this to fuck it up for you two. i can't tell you what to do, but i will support whatever decision you make, okay?”
listening to everything manon said, you slowly nod your head while taking in all of it. tears pricked at the corners of your eyes and you could feel them threatening to spill, with your bottom lip tucked between your teeth to keep it from trembling. “i ju-st want to fix this,” your voice cracks as you speak. “i love her so much.”
“i know you do,” manon is quick to reply, scooting closer to you and wrapping her arms around your shaking frame. “and i know she loves you just as much. you just have to tell her. you have to talk this out, and you have to tell her about what happened last night.”
you physically tense up at her last words, the memories of the night before flooding your mind as you put your hands into fists to keep them from shaking so much. “i can't– she’ll really hate me then,” you reply, shaking your head.
“you have to, yn,” manon tells you. “i know you don't want to, but you have to.”
a few tears fall from your eyes, but you slowly nod your head, knowing it was the truth. it could make matters worse or it could improve them, but you had no idea how to even go about it. “can you– can you come with me to the sheriff's station? i already have the bail money in a bag, i-i just don't want to go alone right now,” you speak quietly, more tears trailing down your cheeks.
“of course,” manon replies with a nod. “has sophia tried reaching you?”
“there was texts and calls for the first couple of hours, but i think she gave up,” you answer with a shrug. “i read a few of them…” your voice goes quiet again.
“bad?” manon questions, judging by the tone in your voice when you said it.
“yeah.” you nod.
“ignore them,” manon tells you sternly. “you don't need to be seeing her lash out on you because of something terrible she did. you didn't do anything wrong, okay? you don't deserve any of what's happened to you in these months, and it's not your fault for going to the person you thought would keep you safe. but this means you have to fix things with dani. if all else fails, then you can stay with me for some time, okay? you’ll always have a place to stay with me.” she rubs your back reassuringly.
“okay,” you mumble, nodding again. “thank you again, i owe you for this.”
“no you don't.” manon shakes her head. “you're one of my best friends, i’d do anything to make sure you're okay.” she then pulls away from you, grabbing the can from you and setting it on the coffee table. “when does the sheriff's station open?”
“nine, i think,” you answer.
“we’ll go right when it opens, then,” she says. “get it done as fast as possible so that she doesn't have to stay in there too long. then you can talk things out. i’m sure you'll already be on her good side just by bailing her out after what you said when she was arrested, so you have a good starting point. get her something to eat, get some drinks, and talk it out here in the home you two have made. it’ll all be okay. i promise.”
“okay.”
…
one week later you were standing outside the jail, biting your nails with your foot tapping on the ground anxiously. thankfully, you had enough to cover the bail and have a little leftover, which was a relief knowing it didn’t take everything in the safe. you had yet to even speak to daniela, despite manon telling you to at least try and see if she would talk to you. you didn’t want to hear yelling over the phone, you’d rather hear it in person where you could explain everything easier than if you were arguing over the phone line that would cut after five minutes. manon told you over and over again that she wouldn’t be mad at you, but the nervous feeling was still rooted deep inside you as you heard the loud buzzing and the gate slowly opening.
looking up from the ground, you spot daniela walking with her bag of things. her eyes subtly widen a bit from what you can see, since they didn’t exactly tell her who bailed her out, just that she was able to leave.
she slowly steps over to you, stopping in front of you and looking at you without saying anything.
“hey,” you say quietly. “i’m really sor–”
you’re cut off from your apology by daniela kissing you. your eyes go wide for a second, but when her arms wrap around your waist you find yourself melting into the kiss, practically feeling all the emotions she was pouring out into it.
when she pulls away, you’re both a little breathless, quiet panting coming from you two.
“do you wanna get something to eat and head home?” you ask softly. “i’d rather talk at home.”
“yeah, we’ll talk at home,” daniela responds in the same voice.
“okay.” you nod.
…
by the time you two arrived at the apartment, it was already leading into the evening, the sunset coming down just as you opened the door and walked inside with bags of food and drinks in your hands.
walking behind you into the apartment, the first thing dani notices is how clean it is. she figured it’d be destroyed when they came to get her, only feeling worse when she realized it had to have been you that cleaned up the place. she follows you silently, setting the food down on the dining room table and going to sit on the couch next to you.
there’s a silence that fills the room. one that was far from comfortable. both of you sitting there not knowing what to say first, or to say anything at all. until you speak.
“i’m really sorry,” your voice is barely able to be heard as you fiddle with your hands. “i-i didn’t think– i didn’t mean for it to go down that way, i-”
“don’t apologize,” daniela cuts you off, shaking her head. “there’s no reason for you to be apologizing. i deserved it.” she goes quiet for a moment before continuing. “i’m really, really sorry. i shouldn’t have done what i did, and i know i fucked up. i’m not sure why i did it, but i regret it so much. i don’t know why you bailed me out, i thought the last time was really going to be the last time. but…i’m glad you did. i just want to talk it out.”
“i know, and that’s why i bailed you out,” you start. “listen, dani. i went to sophia to figure out what to do, and…it wasn’t a smart idea. i know you two already don’t like each other, but this could really make things worse for everyone. i– she convinced me to call the police even though i didn’t want to. i felt so bad once i saw how upset you were. i knew you knew you fucked up and was trying to do anything to make me stay a-and i ignored it. i-i thought it would make things easier but it made everything so m-much worse. everything just t-turned into a shit show a-and i didn’t know what to d-do.” you began stuttering over your words as a few tears fell from your eyes.
“hey, hey, it’s okay.” daniela is quick to wrap her arms around you and pull your head against her chest. “it’s okay, okay? i’m not mad at you for what you did. i deserved it. so please don’t beat yourself up over what you did, baby. i’m not upset at you.” she presses a gentle kiss on your head.
“there-there’s something else i h-have to tell you,” you manage to get out, your anxiety growing and your breathing getting heavier. “please don’t get mad when i tell you th-this.”
“nothing will make me mad, i promise,” dani responds. “what happened?”
clutching onto her shirt, your face is still pressing against her chest as you try to find the words to explain it. “i-i went to sophia’s after. y-you know she’s always had feelings f-for me, so i-i…i fucked up, dani.” you start fully sobbing into her chest at this point, which has her arms tightening around you both from you crying and what she was thinking you were going to say next. “i-i let her have her w-way with m-me b-b-but i hated it. it was t-terrible. sh-she didn’t care that i w-was uncomfortable, she di-didn’t stop even when i w-was crying. all i c-could think about was how y-you would never do that. i-it didn’t feel the same. sh-she didn’t care, she continued a-and i felt so bad after th-that i left immediately. i’m so sorry.”
once you finished your words through sobs, daniela pulled you closer to her onto her lap, her arms tight around you as you cried. there were hundreds of thoughts running through her head, but they were far from being mad at you. she wasn’t mad at you. she was livid at sophia. “it’s okay,” she tells you over and over. “i’m not mad at you, i swear. i’m not mad.” hearing your cries continue made daniela wonder just how much sophia put you through when she wasn’t around, and thinking it made her jaw clench, anger bubbling inside of her. “baby, look at me,” she says softly.
you slowly lift your head to look down at her, your eyes red and puffy with a few sniffles coming from you now and then.
“i’m not upset, okay?” she says, running her hand through your hair. “i understand, i do. which is why i’m not angry at you. i’m angry at sophia, okay? she should’ve known better than to try and do that, let alone continue when you were crying. you haven’t seen her since, have you?”
you immediately shake your head quickly. “no, no, i haven’t. she tried texting and calling but i just ignored them.”
“good.” daniela nods. “that means it’ll be a fun surprise for her when i show up at her front door.”
the way she says that has your eyebrows furrowed together. “what do you mean?”
“don’t worry about it, mi amor,” she says, pecking your lips. “let’s just say she won’t be a problem anymore.”
“as long as you don’t get arrested again, you can do what you want,” you tell her, hooking your arms around her neck.
“i won’t, i promise.” she smiles at you. “are we okay?” she asks after a moment.
it takes a minute for you to respond, but you nod your head in the end. “yeah, we’re okay.”
“i love you,” daniela says, looking you in the eye.
“i love you too,” you reply, leaning in and kissing her.
…
it was late into the night when daniela got up. but not for the same reason it had been the past few months. was she going to see someone? technically. was it sophia? yes. was she going to beat the living shit out of her? probably.
the latina carefully got out of the bed, unwrapping your arms around her and looking at the time on the digital clock. late enough. you shift around feeling her presence leave the bed, and you open your eyes to see her putting on a hoodie and her shoes.
“where are you going?” you mumble tiredly.
dani turns when she hears your voice, leaning down and pushing some of your hair out of your face. “i’m heading to sophia’s with manon and minji. don’t worry, i’ll text you once i’m there and when i’m on my way back.” she presses a soft kiss on your forehead. “i’ll bring you back something to eat if you’re awake when i’m leaving.”
you nod your head, murmuring out a quiet “okay”. this is what you missed. if you were too tired to go out to deals with her, she would always say this. that she’d text you when she was there, and that she would text you when she was leaving that everything was okay, even then she would send more messages than necessary. but, you didn’t mind it. she knew you often got worried when it came to certain clients, and she always reassured you when she would go alone. it hadn’t been like this in months. for the past few months you’ve woken up to her already gone, not bothering to tell you where she was going. for the first time through this hell that’s been these last few months, it was starting to feel normal again.
“be safe, please,” you say quietly.
“always,” she replies, kissing your head again.
walking out of the apartment, manon and minji were already waiting outside in front of minji’s car. the two turn when they hear footsteps coming towards them to see daniela walking towards them.
“is it bad to say i’m surprised you showed?” daniela says, stopping in front of the car.
“not really,” manon shakes her head.
“thanks, anyways then,” daniela looks between the two. “are you both sure you want to do this?”
“obviously,” manon says.
“i’ve never liked her anyways,” minji adds, crossing her arms over her chest.
“alright,” daniela nods. “let’s go then.”
…
it was three in the morning when you heard the front door open. you were partially awake after daniela told you where she was going, glancing at your phone occasionally when it would light up. it had been thirty minutes since dani told you she was on her way back. just when you were getting worried you heard the creaking of the front door opening, and the jingling of keys. you sit up on the bed a little bit when daniela walks into the bedroom with a bag of food and drinks in her hands.
“hey.” she smiles at you. “i got you some food and a milkshake from sonic. i’m sure you’re tired of it by now but it’s like, the only place open at this hour.”
“i don’t mind.” you shake your head. “thank you.”
“it’s no problem,” she says, sitting down next to you on the bed. “here.” she hands you one of the drinks and takes the food out.
sitting in silence while eating, you had a warm feeling radiating through your body. the type you hadn’t felt in months while everything was going on. the silence wasn’t awkward, it wasn’t tense. it was comfortable. it was normal, like it used to be.
“i really missed this,” you say randomly in a quiet voice. “i missed you.”
daniela looks over at you when you speak, seeing the small smile on your face that subconsciously makes a smile grow on her own face. “i missed this– i missed you, too,” she replies in the same voice.
when you look over at her, you can barely make out her face with the lamp on your nightstand, but staring into her eyes, you know she’s genuine about it. “promise me we won’t do this again,” you tell her.
“i promise,” she replies in a heartbeat. “you know why?”
“why?” you encourage her, curious as to what she’ll say.
“because i’m gonna marry you one day.”
your breath hitches in your throat at her words. in the two years you’ve been together, she’s never mentioned anything of the sorts revolving marriage or that kind of commitment. and after what manon told you, you weren’t sure she would ever even consider the thought. to say you were surprised would be an understatement.
“really?” your voice comes out in a whisper, as if you were doubting her words.
“really.” daniela nods. “i don’t want to be with anyone except you. i don’t want you to be with anyone except me. i know i fucked up right now, but i swear in the future i’ll give you the newlywed life you want. i swear.”
tears build in your eyes without your knowledge, so focused on her words that you didn’t even notice a few falling until dani’s hand reaches towards you and wipes them away with her thumb, her hand cupping your face. “you can’t go back on me now, y’know,” you say in a hushed voice. “you better stay.”
“i will,” she responds. “i will, i promise. i don’t want anyone else. i just want you.”
“then you’ll show me?” you say, your voice changing into a tone daniela was far too familiar with.
“oh, i’ll show you.” she leans in and kisses you.

[ part one ]
The clothes that once added a sense of thrill to your heated session were now flying across the room. No more game-changers or whatnot, there is a mutual craving to be satisfied and you both wanted it now.
Albeit having your patience tested by the journey home, the kiss you two shared has never been this innocent and slow (not like you two have had so many.) This time felt like something in the air had just shifted, and you two were savoring the newfound connection. His weight on top of yours, lightly, careful not to crush you. Slightly suffocating as your mouth is being occupied but still bearable, it even makes you feel safe and comfortable. Your hands softly treading through his hair until you found a spot to tug onto as he deepens the kiss, dipping his now bare hips to the bare yours.
The hint of contact of his hardened cock to your dripping pussy had you arching your back, almost pulling his hair as you unintentionally broke the kiss. He smirked, trying to hide the hiss he just made and how the contact almost had him exploding as well. You were too wet for his sanity, and he knows it’s because of him, and now only for him.
“So… how would you like to be fucked tonight, princess?”
You choked, almost wanting to slap him for making you laugh, or maybe you weren’t used to him actually calling you princess in ways other than snarky, when he only called you that to mock you for your bratty tendencies.
“I’d like to make it quits. You made me feel like royalty earlier.” He kisses your neck down to your chest.
“Actually, I don’t mind the tempo right now.” You had your eyes close, trying to feel the trail of kisses his supple lips leave onto your shivering skin. “Just don’t tease too much or—”
“Or what?” he smirks once again, this time being a full-time menace, rubbing his dripping tip against your wet folds.
“Fuck you,” you glared at him with hooded eyes, brows furrowed from annoyance mixed with lust. “Fuck you, Jihoon.”
“My pleasure, princess.”
Jihoon cannot stop thinking, does edging turn you on? Or you just wanted to take your time? He knows he isn't your first. You had told him about the guy you met in college, a total bastard who left some cash the next morning and a rather sweet note of thanks as if it could console your shattered ego. Or that selfish one who only fucked you for quick satisfaction. And this woman who made you feel so good you almost had a thing for scissors until you realized it was just a spur of the libido confusing your sexuality.
But Jihoon, he never told you he actually never had sex. The workaholic never had a relationship, but somehow you had always thought he must have been getting laid because how on earth could he subtly refer to making love on some of his lyrics if has not had one? The only thing you knew about his sex life was how he actually had his own moments most of the time, just like how he confessed in the studio earlier. Oh and that one time you gifted him a fleshlight as a payback for gifting you a vibrator on your eighteenth birthday because you imposed on him and your group of friends that you will only be accepting useful things for your birthday from then on (that was the first time he called you princess, by the way).
His hand made its way to your abdomen down to your mound, even though his dick was itching to just finish the night off. But like what he said, it’s his pleasure to give you a royalty treatment tonight.
His finger did not need much time to tease your opening, and slips right into your hole with ease. “Jihoon-ah…” you whimpered his name, as his mouth met yours after telling you how tight you were.
His slender finger creating friction with your hole was enough to send you into a moaning mess while his mouth conquers your chest, giving both nipples attention as equals as he can.
“So wet, for me.” Indeed, he was right. You must like edging and keeping your release until you cannot anymore. What a naughty princess, he thinks. Another finger joins in, knowing one cannot stretch you out to his size.
Jihoon’s is thick, there’s no denying you had your fair share of curiosity about it since you have seen a hint of it when he wears his favorite sweatpants. But of course, you wanted to remain wholesome so you just shrug away some unthinkable thoughts that once crossed your mind, at least that was before the first kiss you two shared. Ever since then, there had been a few times you allowed yourself to think about him when you were horny because, how would it feel, having that kind of feisty relationship with someone you hold close?
“Aren’t you a little too tight?” Beads of sweat were already forming on his forehead and you were unsure if he was just exerting a lot of effort fingering you, or maybe holding himself from jumping into you. He retracts his hand and kisses you again, before slipping his fingers coated in your juice straight into his mouth. He moaned into a lip bite. How come you tasted so sweet, just like how he must have imagined?
He was really down bad and aching for you he did not have any idea he just said that out loud.
“You’ve thought of me?”
“What? Did I…?”
You chuckled at how his eyes went wide, “Yes, you just said that out loud.”
“God I’m fucked…” He mumbled under his breath.
“You can have more,” you told him, widening your legs which signalled him to get in between and he did not waste time thinking if you really just said that, just like how he did not catch himself saying his thoughts out loud.
His mouth was warm, making you feel things and even questioning yourself if you’re doing something so sinful right now, having someone not your boyfriend eating you out while you were arching your back and moaning his name out loud for your neighbors to hear. You can’t help it, his tongue was so good flicking your clit and playing with your hole while sending vibrations through his moans, all the while staring at you with hooded eyes like was trying to engrave that image of you writhing under his spell in his mind to become a memory he would like to go back to anytime he wanted to. Oh, you’re just so glad he is just married to his work and nobody else.
There were tears in your eyes already, trying to hold back the impending release. He was just so naturally talented at eating you out that you did not realize you were humping his mouth wanting for more. Jihoon, who has been really attentive throughout the night, tried to increase intensity when he heard your moans pitching higher, turned airy as if you were losing your voice to the nirvana you surrendered yourself into.
“Jihoon, I’m close… fuck…” his fingers once again made contact with your hole, fucking your spot as his tongue focused its pressure on your clit. The stimulation was too much taht you began seeing white at the back of your eyes, and not long enough you were clenching around his fingers.
“Go on, come for me,” amid the clouding of your hearing, you heard Jihoon’s voice sounded hoarse, which made you feel even hotter causing you to squirm and finally release your cum.
He was quick to slurp you clean of your release, humming at every sip as if it was his favorite drink. Not even coke zero can make him moan the way your taste quenches his thirst for you.
He then wipes his mouth with his arm, “I can have that all day,” he hisses and proceeds to make your mouth his again, tasting yourself in the process. It was wild, you thought, you’ve never really tasted your own even though you had been curious before. And now you just had to, straight from your friend’s delectable tongue.
The kiss once again turns somewhat slow, as you calm yourself from your high while he preserves his energy for perhaps another round if you’re not too tired enough. Anyway, his cock is still hard. It's like a never-ending cycle now because you wanted him to come, a testament to the kind of relationship you have—a very generous one.
“I like how you kiss me…” you blurted all of a sudden. “They feel like… confessions I have never gotten.”
His eyes meet yours, a gaze like a thousand stars have been sucked inside it. It was one you’ve rarely seen him with, one which only comes out when he talks about how proud he is of the current song he is working with, or that one time you two had hours of debate over the best animes you have ever watched.
“Never gotten? Or never taken?” he wanted to ask, rhetorically that is, but his lips never moved, nor his voice made even a minute of a sound. He’d rather kiss you again, and tell you more of the words that had stayed hidden behind the walls of his mouth. He’d rather have his tongue tied for now, if it means with yours and let his actions speak. Even if you won’t still get it.
He liked the way you kissed him too, if only he could tell. He liked how your mouth synchronizes with his, and moves in perfect harmony. He liked how you get sloppy sometimes when you are trying to catch your breath, or how you adjust when it is him who gets messy because his mind just can’t control his speed. Or how you moan inside his mouth, warm breath enveloping his wet cavern that sends electricity throughout his body. He liked the way his tongue fights for dominance with yours, but even more so when they’re just simply dancing to the rhythm of his heartbeats.
Lost in thoughts, he did not realize you had him toppled over until he felt your hand over his chest, and your damp folds grazing against his girth. “Ah fuck…” both of you chorused, making him chuckle.
“If you want it so bad…”
“Yeah, acting as if you weren’t the one who almost broke my door coming here.” you rebutted, rolling your eyes.
“It got stuck!”
“It’s extra protection!”
“Oh shit, now that you said it” he suddenly perks up, “I almost forgot,” he says squandering about to get to his pants, flailing to the air a foil packet he had been keeping in his wallet.
“Are you sure that thing is not expired?”
He scoffs as he makes his way back to bed, “actually, maybe.” he checks the packet and to his horror, it has been way past due. “Yeah yeah, way to slap me in the face. Thanks, universe.”
“Sorry I didn’t mean to laugh, oh my gosh.” you were almost brought to tears by the comedic timing of it all. He really had not gotten laid. Poor boy, everyone knows he very much deserved it considering he had been busy his entire life.
“I have pills, don’t worry.” his face lights up, but it is still evident how annoyed he was at the situation.
“I’m sorry, I… I won't forget next time…” and then his own words struck him. “Shit, I mean—”
You chuckled at the flushing of his face. He looked so embarrassed, you did not have the heart to tease him anymore assuming there would be more sexy encounters after today. Besides, you’ve been craving for some action now.
“You know I can always keep you company—that is until I get myself a boyfriend,” you pulled him close, as you settled underneath him, head nested in between his two arms that support his weight.
His eyes once again turned soft, as one hand began tracing your cheek, trailing to the back of your ear. “I think… I know someone,” nose scrunching while smiling ear to ear, his eyes turned crescent at his own words, cringing at what sounded like a hard-sell.
“Oooh, I’d like to meet him,” your smirk drowns in the kiss that once again began, while his body shifts so that his tip aligns with your entrance. Your knees instinctively wrap around his waist.
“I’m going in, “ he says in courtesy when he had his head right in your opening, making both of you gasp for air. You didn’t even ask for it but nonetheless had you melting for his consideration, especially when he adds, “You wanted it slow, right?”
And with your nod, he goes in painfully slowly that gradually leaves you in pleasure. He was hard and thick, your hole contracting to his size as it delicately found its way inside. It was your first time for so long you forgot dicks can get this big. You clung onto him, while his mouth rested just by your ears, whispering sweet nothings to comfort you.
He kisses you passionately as your warmth envelopes him whole, taking time for you to adjust. He was a perfect fit inside, as if his cock was molded out of your hole, and it's driving you crazy the breathy moans just wont stop coming out of your lungs. You slowly opened your eyes and it was met by his, looking intently at your face with the same thought plastered on his face: you want him just as much as he wants you—both your eyes tell, no words needed.
He began moving his hips in long thrusts to initiate his rhythm. Mouths hovering over another, catching each others’ breaths as your hips met his. “Fuck,” he curses under his breath as he increases his speed as well as the depth of his thrust. “You feel so, so good.”
Jihoon was just as loud as you are, if not louder. You kinda liked it, a man moaning to his pleasure, not afraid to admit how needy he can be nor stingy for reactions. And you had to admit, it just turned you on even more.
“Jihoon… fuck… you’re so hot.”
Jihoon, feeling the rush of wetness from inside you and also hearing his name through your whimpers, was going insane stopping himself not to pound onto you, drilling into your hole until you were begging for mercy. You were just so wet that it makes it so much easier to thrust inside deeper and faster, but he can save it for another time. For now, you were his princess, he keeps reminding himself. He’s got orders to fulfill, unless you amend it yourself, he will gladly obey.
“You’re so fucking wet… and tight… fuck.” he trailed the last word as he increased his intensity unknowingly, which you didn’t mind.
“Harder… please…”
He follows suit, pulling far and pushing deep into you in perfectly timed intervals. He definitely got rhythm, perks of being a composer, you thought, you have to tell him that later as a compliment.
“Like that, oh sh- ahh…” you cannot even form words anymore, the way he makes you feel so good was almost inconveniencing the wiring of your brain. Your body now sprawled on the bed, no other movements, just your back arching and…
And your fingers interlaced with his.
The scene felt like two passionately infatuated people making love. You two were connected south of your heated bodies, but that did not seem enough for him; he had to lock his free hand with yours just by his chest. Heck you did not even notice how he planted kisses on the back of your hand when you were busy trying to savor how inch by inch your hole gets filled.
He is great in bed, you gotta admit, and he can be romantic as well. Why was he single again?
“I… I think I’m…” close. He knows. He felt you clenching around him.
“Yeah,” he speeds up, as he can feel him coming too. “Together?”
You nod mindlessly, gasping at the speed he is now going. The pitch ofn his moans went higher, almost sounding like a cry. The thrusting went on not long before both of you finally climaxed in unison. His forehead rests on yours, hand on your cheeks and weight slumped onto you as he rides out your high. He’d like to believe that got him tired, but not exhausted. He can definitely go for rounds given he gets rest for a while, if he gets permission that is.
He groans as he pulls himself out, a decision which gained a whine from you. The guy just chuckles as he pumps himself dry. The view looked mesmerizing, him with an afterglow, sweaty in full glory, and face contorting to pleasure accompanied by guttural moans he did not try to suppress even a bit. You imagined, does he look like that, flushed in red, shining from the little light inside the room, when he touches himself? You thought there's nothing sexier than a JIhoon who is fully immersed in his projects. Well, you just have gotten corrected.
You leaned into him, feeling his breath touch your lips. Your eyes still hooded from your release, and you’re still a bit sensitive but damn, you’re craving for more.
“You look hot like that,” you just had to say it. There’s nothing to lose in being honest in words and in action, right?
“Uh-huh, how’s that for a boyfriend?”
“I’d love it,” You bit your lips, standing on your knees to straddle him in between. Your eyes are still hooded, and your hole sensitive. But damn, your friend over here just looked a little too irresistible and you just craved for more.
You sat on his thigh as your mouth found its way to his neck, hitting that sweet spot of his right off the bat. He was hissing at the contact, leaning backwards with support of his one arm. “No way… You’re going to make me hard again in no time.”
That’s exactly what you were aiming for. The night has just started anyway. Might as well spend the whole time enthusiastically riding out fantasies. Jihoon himself had too many of them. He got advantage, he need not think hard and just live the dream. Daydeams, rather.
The guy cannot believe he is not gonna touch his fleshlight tonight. You were here right on top of him, making out as you went down on him, reaching the twitching target that was just gaining filled up yet again.
Your tongue traced his shaft from its base, maintaining eye contact with him. He tried so hard to keep it, but failed because your naughty tongue makes it difficult for him to. The process was all too familiar, you had your own practices at this very mattress accompanied by your dildo when you’re alone. The fascinating thing now is that you witness it grow right in front of your eyes as you give your full attention to it.
“How are you so good at this—hmmphhfuck!” His brows are furrowed and mouth hanging wide, obviously having the time of his life watching your mouth take him in whole. He has gone full erect in no time after bucking his hips for a few seconds and then deciding he misses your pussy around him.
“Come here baby,” he pulls you for a kiss, with your knees automatically straddling him in between. It was like he had been away for a long time the way your arms wrapped around his shoulder, kissing him deeper. Your throbbing wet folds full of arousal was resting against his pulsating girth, making you moan in between kisses.
“Fuck, I can’t get enough of you,” his kisses went sloppy as he goes into your neck, and also your chest, giving your erect nipples more attention it deserves.
“God… I need you too, Jihoon-ah…. I need more please….”
You did not need to beg, but hearing it with your needy voice and lustful eyes had him acting from adrenaline, pulling your body closer, groping you as if you would even run away from his arms. His cock was poking your entrance by then, and you let yourself sink on it almost immediately without warning.
“Fuck!” screamed halfway through, when Jihoon himself thrusted up so he can fill you in, albeit he himself is still a bit sensitive.
The sting was quick to be washed out by sensual gratification as the overstimulation picked up your pace when you began riding him.
“Holy shit,” tears well up in your eyes, as you writhe in pleasurable pain. Jihoon too was moaning out loud, gaining his momentum in thrusting upwards as fast as he could. Your bodies were clinging into each other, sweats mixing and skin slapping, but nothing matters. Not the sound of pattering rain drops outside the window, nor the volume of your moans that may have already reached the maximum your walls can hide, not even the creaking of the bed that has reached the floorboards. Only the pleasure you share is important right now, and nothing should come in between.
“Hold it, please…” Jihoon spoke in behind his gritted teeth when he felt you clenching around him. “Please… just….a little bit more…” He goes on thrusting, losing his rhythm once in a while due to his greed in taking his precious time with your clenched pussy.
You can feel him holding his release as well through his flexed thigh muscles and his eyes shut tight. “Fuck I dont wanna cum yet… i dont wanna cum… please….”
You were already shaking your head, arms hugging him tight to support yourself. His moans suddenly dips as he chokes on his own, and then gradually changes into whimpers like he is the neediest person in town.
“Ji… I can’t….hold it—” exhaling a breathy moan, you squirmed in his arms, head falling down his shoulder while panting heavily from your release. Jihoon came simultaneously, filling you up as he stayed inside for a while, catching his breath to its normality. Both pulsating and sensitive, no one dared to move a single muscle.
It took a while when one of you was consciously looking for the other’s lips. It was a simple kiss, a short one, but holds a lot of words he’s been meaning to tell you. He cooes, your name sweetly slipping off his drying throat.
“Hmm?” you hummed, as you rested your forehead against his, letting his hand cup your cheeks.
“What do you think?”
You chuckled at his words. He is insufferable. He really can’t wait until you’re all cleaned up and cozy?
“Actually, save it. I gotta clean up my princess before anything else.”
If there was an award for being the most outstanding service of an aftercare, Jihoon would have another plaque to be displayed somewhere not in his studio. It was a premium experience, even getting warm towels for the both of you before submerging you in a hot, bubble bath, complete with aromatherapy applying your lavender-scented lotion all over you right after. Stepping out of the bathroom in robes, he goes straight to your kitchen, you following him behind. He insisted actually, he wanted you to stay comfortable in your room, but you figured you did not need that right now. You just enjoyed his company way too much tonight, and you can’t seem to find another spot at home comfortable unless he was right beside you.
He prepares you a cup of warm tea just as how you preferred while he picks some drink available in your fridge.
“Banana milk? Are you sure? I’ve got juice over there.”
“Yeah, this is fine.”
“Sorry, no soda.” you shrugged with an apologetic smile.
You were sitting at the high chairs by your mini bar, with him by the edge as he pokes the carton with the straw. You stared at him for a moment, head full but no thoughts being formed.
“Ah, you were asking earlier,” you broke the stare before he senses it. “I’d be honest with you and say, that was probably the best sex I have ever had so far.”
“Pfft,” he laughs, without looking at you, trying to hid the blush forming on his cheeks. Too bad you can see his ears reddening. “Yeah?”
“Yeah…” at this point you were trying to calm the butterflies that started fluttering inside your stomach, distracting yourself as you dunk the teabag in the fully saturated cup of water. What is this sudden, stupid feeling in your gut? “Gotta give credit to your musicality. You’ve got a perfect rhythm. Oh and how your moans harmonized with mine. It literally sounded like music. You were also good with your mouth, and how you touch me. Attentive as well, the entire night. And the aftercare was a total royal treatment! And uhm…” you paused when you realized you were just babbling, staring at the ripples created by swirling the teaspoon in your tea. “Oh my gosh… sorry I got carried away.”
“No it was fine, I think I also wanted to hear that. Like a feedback you know,”
“for reference next time, huh?”
He chokes on his drink, dipping his head down in embarrassment. “No I mean…”
“I am looking forward to it,” you muttered cutting his words, as your eyelashes fluttered, feeling a bit tired yet relaxed.
He looks at you in full adoration, and a hint of boosted ego. God, why are you the most beautiful person in the world and why is he lucky to have you this close to him? Even looking forward to next time?
“I do too. I actually think we’re compatible in bed…” he says rather shyly in reference with what you told him earlier.
“Right…” you trailed. He meets your eye almost a millisecond long (short), and goes to sip his beverage until it’s empty. He breathes deeply, as he disposes of the trash all the while avoiding any contact with your eyes as he came back, not able to hide how he suddenly feels so nervous around you right now. You can’t help but shake your head. Gosh, Jihoon, can’t you be any more dense than this?
“We do seem compatible, no?” you continued, waiting for him to look at you again. He does, revealing the blush that never left his face, and your next words deepens its hue even more.
“...how’s that for a girlfriend?”
hope you enjoyed this as much as i did writing it! ^^

Mellow Mellow Lily!!! I've been getting a lot of Yarichin Bitch Club songs on my fyp as of late...not complaining I love these songs they were in my wrapped several years ago and this is actually my favorite character song. Last Movie: Sonic The Hedgehog 3. Yeah so like a month ago and haven't watched anything else since 🤣.
Last Game: Fortnite...specifically festival. I finished grinding out the Hatsune Miku pass and still gotta finish up some of the quests cause why not and also gotta claim that #1 spot before friends have a chance (they don't play that mode as much as I do so it's ez 🤭)...but yeah I've been playing a lot of that til my wrist tells me enough or I start missing so many notes that I rage quit lmao (it's usually a mix of both).
Last TV show: I tend to put Dance Moms on YouTube for background noises really...I know there's so many problems with it ugh but hey still throw it on and the drama 🤣.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Always Sweet!!!
Relationship: Single and not ready to mingle anytime soon 😎🤪 hehe
Fav color: Red

WC: 2.7k
You and Sukuna have been going out for some time now, maybe about five months. You met him at some random frat party. You had just been broken up with by your boyfriend of two years, and so you went to a party and took anything and everything anyone gave you. You were feeling super sick and all you really wanted was solace. After a while of sulking in the corner of this random disgusting frat house, you decided it was time to go home, as at this point you were high and drunk completely out of your mind. You gathered your things and attempted to stumble your way to some kind of exit. On your way out, you accidentally ran into this huge hunk of a man with bold tattoos. You started sobbing when he caught you, tears staining and fists clenching his shirt. He was absolutely bewildered and as people had begun to stare, he grudgingly took you home. After that night, you kept running into this random man you sobbed to on campus, and the rest was history.
Although you and Sukuna have been going relatively steady for a while, you had hit a point in your relationship in which all you did was argue. And it is generally understood that after the honeymoon stage everyone often disputes with their partners, but Sukuna was terribly vicious. He often brought up how insecure you were, how it was your fault you were raised the way you were, how easily he could replace you. To say the least, Sukuna was an ass. He damaged your core like no one else could and it desperately hurt you to be with him. Still, you stayed by his side because you loved him, and hoped he felt the same way. You hoped because he would hold you as you cried, kissing away your tears, and whispering how sorry he was. You always forgave him, even if he did it time and time again.
During the first stages of your relationship, Sukuna welcomed your presence. You two hung out often, and although not ordinary dates (he often took you to race on his motorcycle or would take you to sketchy parties), you had fun and were happy because he was there with you. Sukuna never was really into speaking reassuring or affirming words, but instead showed his affection with his actions. His hands would always be roaming your body, and you liked feeling the warmth of another person. He did things without you asking, like buying something you mentioned you liked or holding you even when you swore you were ok. While you smiled brightly and thanked him, he would just grumble “it’s whatever.” You would always laugh and giggle with him, and even though he never really laughed back himself, he entertained it. Sometimes you would catch him staring, and there was a look in his eyes that you couldn’t quite name. There was no doubt that he held a sentiment of adoration for you, maybe he even loved you. But now? His eyes only seemed to hold disappointment, anger, and annoyance.
You had known from the second you met him that it would not be easy to be with him. He’s got a difficult, harsh, and cruel demeanor. You had hoped that maybe he wasn’t really like that, and that maybe he just had this bad-boy delinquent front to cover his vulnerabilities. Well, you were right, to say the least. But is the Ryomen Sukuna really going to be vulnerable around you, some random girl he met a few months ago that he just likes to use as a bed warmer? Hell no. You meant absolutely nothing to him and he couldn’t seem to get that message through your head. All this time, you thought that maybe he was just being difficult but that didn’t change the fact that he still maybe held a passion for you.
One night, a particularly bad argument came up. It started as something that was completely meaningless. Him coming home a little late, you telling him you were too busy to cook dinner and that tonight you guys should just go get takeout, him mumbling that he was too tired to go out and that it’s nothing you can’t do on your own because you were a big girl and could handle these things. You apologized but said you, too, were too tired, and therefore did not want to cook. Sukuna’s temper just kind of blew up. “Are you fucking kidding me? You can’t even do this one little thing? You aren’t fucking helpless, Y/N. I’ve spent all day studying and working for you, and how dare you still expect more shit from me? Haven’t I given you fucking enough?” He threw his hands up in irritance, shouting at you, the previous exhaustion in his voice seemingly gone. “I’m sorry, I was just busy tod-” you tried to reason, but he quickly interrupted. “Busy? You were fucking busy? How the hell do you think I feel, huh?” He was walking towards you, and you were being backed into the kitchen counter. “Are you useless? No! You can’t even do small shit like this. How unloveable can you possibly be?” He continued to ramble and yell into your face, but you stopped listening. You rapidly tried to blink your tears away and to calm your shaky hands. Did he really just say that? You’re unloveable?
Eventually, Sukuna left the apartment with nothing but his coat and his car keys, mumbling something about how this is fucking unbelieveable under his breath as he slammed the front door shut. Your ears were ringing due to the newfound silence, the only thing being heard was your staggered breathing.
A couple of days later, Sukuna still had not returned to your apartment. You assumed he had gone back to his. Neither of you had spoken a word to each other in two days, and you were becoming restless. You had to apologize to him, whether you were at fault or not. You texted him you were on your way as you started your car. You noted that as you were on your way, he never replied to your message. You approached his front door and rummaged through your purse to find the spare key to his apartment. As you unlocked the door, you took a deep breath in and recited your apology in your head.
When you opened the door, the apartment was relatively cleaner than it usually was, save for the clothes littering the floor. Your brows furrowed as you noted a pink camisole and bra on the floor. Those definitely weren’t yours. Your heart was rapidly thumping, the sound filling your ears. You felt like you couldn’t breathe, and stormed off to find Sukuna.
You burst through his bedroom door to see a naked Sukuna and some girl you’ve never seen before. You watched as her eyes widened and as she scrambled to find some way to cover herself. She ran out the door past you. You were still standing in the doorway, frozen in shock. You held your mouth slightly agape, unsure of what to say or do next. Unperturbed, Sukuna sighed as got up from the bed to find his shorts somewhere on the floor. He ran his hand through his sweaty, almost drenched hair. Wasn’t he being way too casual about this? You found the strength in yourself to speak up. “How could you do this to me?” you weakly spoke, sounding as fragile as your now shattered heart. Sukuna put on his shorts and looked at you without shame, an agitated look painting his face. “I don’t owe you an explanation.” He continued to find his shirt. “What? We’re dating Sukuna. You can’t just-” you stammered, and he stopped you right there. “I’m not your boyfriend and you’re not my girlfriend,” he articulated every word like it was the most obvious thing ever. Your heart dropped. “And clearly, you didn’t think that. I liked what we had, Y/N. But if you’re going to be all possessive like this, then we should end things.” What was he saying? “What? Suku-” He deeply sighed and his voice began to rise. “Get out! Don’t make me say it again.”
Ryomen Sukuna had broken your heart. Really, he stole it from your chest and smiled at you as he crushed it in his hands. The next week after the “break up” for you was absolutely terrible. You skipped all of your classes, meals, and sleep. You just wallowed in bed, wondering what could possibly make you so unloveable. To think that he never really loved you – wait, did he really never love you at all? You recalled that you never said I love you. Those three words held a heavy weight, but you were thinking about how you didn’t need to say it to prove your devotion to him. It kinda made sense now. You should have never assumed your place in a man’s heart who didn’t have room for anyone, let alone you.
--------------------------------
Five months later…
Sukuna found it nice to be freely sleeping around again, finding himself at parties, clubs, bars, always having a girl on his side. Sukuna always woke up next to a new girl every morning (girls he never remembers the names of), quickly kicking her out so he didn’t have to deal with whatever she thought was between them. He would go on late night rides with his friends (that you never really liked) and would come home to drink a cold beer wearing only his boxers. Life was good to him.
But as Sukuna came home one night after a thrilling night out, he thought it just wasn’t as fun as it used to be. He plopped down on the couch and cracked open a beer and turned on his TV. Still, he felt something was missing. Maybe he missed the thrill of making it home and spewing lies to the girl in his bed. Maybe he missed the heated arguments and sorry's just to repeat the cycle. . Maybe he missed coming home to a home-cooked meal. Maybe he missed the warmth of another person. Maybe he missed hearing a certain voice. Maybe he missed waking up to a familiar face. Maybe, he missed you. Wait, what? That’s not true. He shook the thought away, thinking that he just missed having authority over someone.
He was obviously lying to himself. Sukuna wondered what could fill this odd feeling in his heart. It was evident that the sex, drugs, and alcohol was no longer doing its part for him. He stopped going out and now spent his time in silence and solitude. He began to think about you, and he wondered what you were doing. He wondered how you would react if you saw him again. He wondered what you did after you lost contact with him. He wondered what you looked like now, if you were just as beautiful.
He needed to find you, whether it was for the closure for his flaming conscience or that needed to know if you still felt the same in his arms, he didn’t know. What was he feeling bad for now? Sukuna was never one to have genuine apologies or have feelings of guilt in shame. What was it about you that made him feel this way? Sukuna wanted – no, needed to put a label on this aching feeling, and then throw it out.
It was a new semester, and Sukuna hadn’t seen you around campus. He realized that he still really wanted to see you, but he knew you wouldn’t react well. He didn’t care too much though, he just wanted to fix whatever was wrong with him.
One day, Sukuna saw you on campus in the courtyard that was in front of one of your major’s buildings. You looked the happiest he had ever seen you. A smile was plastered on your face as you laughed with some friends. The same smile that he struck off your face. Sukuna used to think he liked your crying face more than anything, he thought your stupid smile was childish, but now he thought you looked so beautiful smiling. He silently watched you, something holding him back from approaching you.
Sukuna often spotted you in front of your building, and he longed to talk to you again. If he was watching you so often, of course you were going to see him too. One day, you spotted him. He tried to play it off by clearing his throat and looking away, but when he looked at you again, you smiled. You… smiled? Even after all the humiliation and suffering he put you through, you smiled at him. You seemed to wave off to your friends and began to speed walk to him. He panicked a little.
“It’s nice to see you again! I hope you’re doing well,” you greeted and waved to him. It hurt him to see that you were still kind and genuine even after all that he did to you. “Hi, um… it’s nice to see you too… How are you doing?” he awkwardly replied. Sukuna was always one to hold pride and confidence, but upon seeing you he seemed to lose all of it. “I’m really good! This semester is kind of kicking my ass but I’m still trying to stay positive, haha,” you beamed. He nodded once as a reply and a silence enveloped the both of you. He stared at you, and you really did look happy. He sighed and spoke up, “Y/N, I never really got the chance to say sorry. I know that I have done so much wrong to you, but please, can you forgive me? I feel like what I did to you is burning a hole through my heart, and I just can’t bear to think that I could do that to someone as pure as you,” Sukuna began to beg. It was odd to see a guy who never bent down to anyone, who put himself on a pedestal ranging miles higher than anyone else, beg.
You thought for a second, taking in the unfamiliar sorrow gracing his strong features. You eventually spoke, “Sukuna, I loved you, did you know that?” His eyes slightly widened and he nodded slowly. You continued, “The whole time I was with you, I wasn’t sure if you loved me too. It hurts to be around you.” He nodded again, breaking eye contact to stare at his shoes. “I can’t quite forgive you for what you did to me, but I want you to know that if you find your happiness, then I will always be cheering you on for it. Don’t mess up next time.” Although your words held the heaviness of your feelings, you still smiled at him. Sukuna felt a throbbing in his chest. God, what did he do to you? What had he done? He desperately wanted to say, “my happiness is with you” but he felt that he didn’t have the right to. Sukuna felt tears in his eyes, all an unfamiliar feeling to him. He nodded once again to you, whispering a thank you. Not because you were offering your understanding, but because he wanted to thank you for being there for him, even when he couldn’t be there for you. Sukuna went off apologizing once again, clenching his fists to resist reaching out and hugging you. And, as if you read his mind, you quickly pulled him into your embrace. The two of you held each other, tearing brimming your eyes. The feeling of closure the two of you longed for was gained, and for a second all the resentment and pain was let go of, all that was left was love and understanding for each other.
Sukuna watched you from afar sometimes. He had been hearing around that you were in a relationship… good for you. He hoped that whoever that weird tall white guy haired guy you were dating was, was treating you with all the love and respect that you deserve, all the love and respect that he couldn’t give you. And as he watched you laugh with some guy that wasn’t him, smiling ear to ear, he realized that happiness looked so good on you. To pay his repentance and to pay his final act of love to you, he gave a small somber smile at your radiating face for the last time, and turned around and walked away, now truly realizing the weight of his mistakes.

“To be loved is to be known”
Summary: When you call Aventurine by his true name, Kakavasha, with love and affection, it shatters the walls he’s built around himself. As he breaks down, overwhelmed by his past trauma and survivor’s guilt, you help him heal and discover the possibility of being truly loved. Through patience and support, Kakavasha learns to love and be loved in return, though the journey is filled with emotional struggles and slow-burning trust.
Tags: @bunni-v1(thank you for feeding the Aventurine fandom🙏💛💚), Aventurine x Reader, Angst, Slow Burn, Hurt/Comfort, Emotional Healing, Survivor’s Guilt, Manipulation/Control, Love & Vulnerability, First Love/Relationship, Patience, Angst with a Happy Ending.
Warnings: Emotional Trauma, References to Past Abuse and Slavery, Mental Health Struggles (survivor's guilt, emotional breakdown), Explicit mentions of Grief and Loss, Heavy Themes of Self-worth and Identity.
A/N: this was much better in my head... 🧍♀️
[Inspired by]
The dim light of Aventurine's private quarters cast an amber glow over the room, reflecting off the myriad of trinkets and luxurious odds and ends that adorned the shelves. He lounged in his chair as always, legs crossed, head tilted, a half-empty glass of brandy in his hand. The smile that graced his lips was one you knew well—practiced, confident, and sharp. A mask.
“You’ve been unusually quiet tonight, darling,” he said, his voice lilting with feigned amusement. “Planning something, or is the weight of my brilliance just too much to handle?”
You folded your arms, standing in the center of the room. “Kakavasha.”
The sound of his real name stopped him mid-sip. The glass hovered inches from his lips, his eyes narrowing like a predator caught off guard. The room seemed to still, the silence so heavy it was deafening.
“What did you just say?” he asked, his tone sharper now, defensive.
“Kakavasha,” you repeated, softer this time, stepping closer to him. “Your name. Not Aventurine. Not the persona you wear for the world. I’m speaking to you—the person behind all of this.”
His smile wavered, a crack forming in the facade. For a moment, he looked at you as if you’d struck him, as though hearing that name from your lips was a wound he hadn’t prepared to guard against.
“Don’t,” he whispered, setting his glass down with a trembling hand. “Don’t say it like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like it means something,” he hissed, standing abruptly. His movements were quick, defensive, his hands curling into fists. “That name—that name belongs to someone who should’ve died years ago.”
You didn’t flinch. You didn’t step back. Instead, you moved closer, your hands reaching out to gently touch his face. He recoiled slightly at first, but you persisted, cupping his cheeks with a tenderness that shattered whatever defenses he had left.
“Kakavasha,” you said again, and this time, it broke him.
A sob tore through him before he could stop it, raw and guttural. He sank to his knees, his arms wrapping around your waist as if holding on for dear life. His head pressed against your stomach, and his body shook with the force of his crying.
“I—I can’t,” he choked out, the words barely audible between sobs. “I don’t deserve this. I don’t deserve you.”
You knelt down, your hands cradling his face as you forced him to look at you. Tears streaked down his cheeks, and his eyes were wide, glassy, and vulnerable in a way you’d never seen before.
“Listen to me,” you said firmly, though your voice was laced with emotion. “You are Kakavasha. You are not the sum of your mistakes, and you are not the monster you think you are. You’re a person—a person who has been through hell and back, but you are not unworthy of love.”
He shook his head, more tears spilling over. “I don’t know how to—”
“You don’t have to know,” you interrupted, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. “You just have to let me love you. That’s all.”
His sobs quieted as your words sank in, his breathing ragged but slowing. You kissed his cheeks, his nose, his lips, each kiss gentle and patient, as though you were mending the broken pieces of him with your touch.
For a long while, he simply stayed there, his head resting against your chest as you held him. When he finally spoke, his voice was barely a whisper.
“I didn’t think… I didn’t think it was possible to feel like this.”
You smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from his face. “You deserve this, Kakavasha. You deserve to be happy.”
The name lingered in the air, not as a weight but as a promise. Kakavasha—the man who had survived the desert, the betrayals, and the crushing loneliness—was still here. And for the first time, he allowed himself to believe that he could be loved.
The road to healing wasn’t easy. Aventurine—no, Kakavasha—was a man accustomed to wearing masks, to hiding behind his sharp wit and dazzling charisma. There were nights when his fears got the better of him, when he pulled away, scared of the vulnerability that came with being loved.
But you were patient.
You were there to steady him when he stumbled, to remind him that he didn’t have to face his demons alone. Slowly, he began to open up, sharing pieces of himself that he had long buried. His laughter became more genuine, his smiles less calculated.
And one day, as he watched you reading on the couch, bathed in the golden glow of the evening light, he realized that he no longer feared losing you. Instead, he felt a quiet determination—a promise to himself that he would protect this love with everything he had.
Because for the first time in his life, Kakavasha understood what it meant to be truly alive.

All for Us Part VI _ Final Part Part I Part II Part III Part IV Part V
Hello Sweeties ! So as I saw in the votes, you asked for this L A S T par of this story, so there it is ! It's not that long cause I didn't had much to say. I just wanted to do a beautiful and simple end cause I think both deserve it. It wasn't a long Story, but it was long compare to everything I wrote in the last years and I'm proud of myself ! I realised later than the title is kinda bad cause I just made a bad translation from the french but the good title should be '' Everything for Us '' but I will let it like it is cause, Why not. My first Fanfiction in years, my first fanfiction I finishied since my highschool years ( 11 years at least ) and my first published Smut in Years too. Overall I'm proud of myself and I wish I will do more other stories and I hope to be able to finish them all. Thanks to everyone who followed and Love this story. I hope to see you again for other ones !

You didn't remember what happened after you voted to go home. It was the majority of you. You remembered Thanos voting X too, but after the light off, everything was fuggy. When you opened your eyes, you were on the dirty ground where you were picked when you joined the game. You had a blindfold, well you guessed it was it, who had felt it on your neck. Your feets and wrists were tied up and you could feel the cold breeze of the night. Those bastards let you in underwear in the middle of a street. Luckily for you, You noticed your clothes close to you and after a moment, trying to untie your wrist, you quickly do the same for your legs before putting on your clothes.
Your phone was in the pocket of your sweater and of course, it ran out of energy. Your apartment keys were still in your jean’s pocket.
You felt tired and durty. A good bath and 24h hours of sleep is going to be well deserved, but first, you need to check on something.
You go to the nearest convenient store and put your card in the ATM to take a look at your account. Your heart was racing in your chest. What if it was just a dream ? What if they lied ?
Even if you didn't felt right to be happy, you couldn't stop smiling when you noticed the big amount of money you had in your account. Tears of joy appeared in your eyes, slowly cascading on your cheeks. Finally, The suffering and anxiety will be over. A hand on your stomach, you smiled at it.
«-I promise, You gonna have a beautiful Life…»
Once you got home, as you expected, the door locks were smashed. The guys who were chasing you for money probably entered the apartment while you weren't there.
Stressed, you opened the door and you felt sad to notice how everything was destroyed. This didn't look nice anymore, but you still have to stay there, at least until you could join Thanos or even that guy who messed up your apartment to give him the money.
Plugging your phone to the charger, you start to clean around as much as you can.
After a moment, when your house was clean enough for the energy you had, you go back to your phone and noticed a lot of unread messages from the guy who landed you money. Unsure, you text him back a simple ; I have your money. Let meet up Tomorrow.
You also get a Message, well, many, from Thanos. He seemed anxious about you and the baby.
“-Had you made it home yet ? “ -23h07 “-You can come to my place if you want “ 23h12 “-Or I can come over “ -23h13 “-Princess Are you all right ?” -23h20 “-I Got the money from the game. I can send you some if you want. “ -23h22 “-I know your debts are all my fault anyway…”-23h22 “-Seniorita Please answer me. Are you alright ? Is the baby’s fine ??!! ”-23h25 “-If I don't get an answer I'm going to show up at your place ! “-23h33 “-Okey I'm coming !! ” -23h45
You looked at the time : 23h55. You smiled and answered him
“-I'm fine, my phone Ran out of power. No need to come over. Go at your place and rest “ - 23h56 “-I want to rest with You. Gonna bring snack. What do you want ? Ice Cream and Pinault butter ?”-23h58 “-Im Fine!! And of course Not, I don't have any weird pregnancy cravings. “-00h00 “-Not Yet ;) Anyway, still on my way…with snacks”-00h08
Your smile never left your face. Thanos was always really caring with you but somehow you feel like it was different this time, like he really made an effort and it made you happy.
When he arrived, he opened the door as you were still cleaning up the apartment. He looked around, visibly confused by all the mess around.
«-What happened here ? »
You explained to him the problems you got cause of your debts who’s also his or cause of him. Thanos felt bad you had to go traught all this cause of his addiction and helped you to clean as much as possible. Once everything was less messy, you both enjoyed some Snacks he bring and that’s when you realised how hungry you were. He bought you some of your favorite Ramen, chips and little cake.
He also gave you an envelope with money. It was the exact amount you need to give to the guy you will meet tomorrow. He apologized and insisted you keep it. You felt touched by this and accepted his money.
«-I really want you to keep the money you get from the game for our child. And for Yourself, of course. -What about your own debts ? -I will figure it out. And I still have some left so don’t worry about me. I want to go back to music and earn money of my own. I want to make you and our child proud. And for something else… -Something else ? Like what ? A home ? It's pretty expensive. -Well, not for a home, but it could be a plan for later. The other thing dépend more on your decision. -which is ? »
You both were sitting on your bed and Thanos got up to kneel in front of you, gently taking your hand in his. You looked at him, breathtaking. Your heart stops beating for a second before it starts to beat faster. You could feel your eyes feeling with water.
«- Y/N would you accept to be my wife ? »
You were too shocked to answer. Tears flowing from your eyes as you just quickly nod your head. It wasn't the romantic scene you always dream of, but coming from Su Bong it was the most romantic thing he ever did. Even if you were both exhausted, still in debts and even if you didn’t have a Ring for you, yet, this moment felt the happiest of your life. You throw yourself in his arms, still crying as you repeat ‘’ Yes ! ‘’ Again and again. Su Bong smiled and held you close, gently caressing your hair.
«-My dear and Beautifull Wife, He said before kissing you. »
This relationship with him was a total rollercoaster of emotion, but your love for each other was just too strong to let you away from each other. Faith does good things, sometimes.
The next day goes well, you got rid of your debts, Thanos started to go to therapy to avoid touching drugs again, so did you.
You moved In together, he worked on new music, new songs, starting to slowly go back on stage while you went back to school. You dropped one year ago but you chose an option you really like. It wasn’t easy with the pregnancy and Had to do a lot of school classes and take more time.
Life with your Now, fiancé wasn’t alway easy. When he felt the side effect of always being sober you fighted a lot, but at the end He apologies and you were understanding considering all the efforts he did for you, the baby and your relationship. Sometime, you fucked to avoid fighting or when Su bon needed a big high. He said you were his new addiction and even dedicated you to a song where He talks about how much He loves you and how you changed his life.
Eventually, you gave birth to a beautiful Daughter. Su bon said once he really would like to have a boy, but when He hold his little baby daughter in his arms for the first time, he almost cried and didn't let go of her. He quickly became over protective with her. He also wrote a song about her and it became a great hit. That’s how He were able to afford your engagement ring.
Your life goes back on track and you feel happy despite what you had been taught with the game. You and Su Bong got a matching tattoo with the number you were during the game as a sort of memorial for the ones who died in there but also as a reminder to yourself to be careful with your money and every decision you will take, cause you never want to live an experience like that ever again.

Last Movie: Venom: The Last Dance - I don't recommend-suffers from bad editing

Familiar Warmth [Caleb]
Content: Touch-Starved, Domestic Fluff, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Soft Caleb, Non-Sexual Intimacy, Reader-Insert
Pronouns: None
Note: I see Caleb within the childhood friend trope. Anything outside of that makes me uncomfortable, so I won’t be engaging with it in any sort of way.

Wanna support me? Here’s my Ko-Fi!
It was raining tonight. Although it sounded far off despite the curtains being open, letting in the blurry moonlight. He focused on the pitter-patter of rain, he focused on his breathing, his heartbeat…
And yours.
He was at your house, an occurrence that was somehow both rare and frequent. Anytime he had a break from being the colonel, he sought you out. He needed to be around you. You drowned out the darkness, the voices, all of it. It left him with just you and him, and that’s all he needed.
When the rain started, you pulled him up from the couch and dragged him to your bedroom. He was very confused at first. Especially when you stripped down to your undergarments (and told him to follow suit), but then you lied down and gestured for him to join you and he understood. He went to lie beside you, but you gently tugged his arm closer to you. He confusedly maneuvered himself on top of you, resting his head on your chest. Then your hands made their way into his hair, and he melted.
How long had it been since you’d done this for him? Over a decade. It felt even longer after his death and year separation from you. Even after all this time, however, your fingers were still gentle, and you still hummed that same tune.
On one hand, it made him feel like a kid again, but on the other…he felt special. Like this was just for him, you’d never do this for anyone else….well, maybe someone else…someone who looked a little bit like you and a little bit like him—
“You’re thinking pretty hard, Cap’.” Your comment pulled him out of his thoughts. “Wanna talk about it?”
He flushed. He definitely didn’t want to tell you about his white picket fence dream. At least not now, not while he was deep in your bliss. If that made him selfish, so be it.
“Should I start guessing?”
Eyes reminiscent of sugilite flashed open met your closed ones. There was a soft smile gracing your features with the moonlight from the open curtains of your window haloing you.
You were beautiful.
He shifted his head so that his chin was resting on your chest now. “Nah, you’re just imagining things.”
“Yeah, sure. You’re definitely not thinking about the future right now.” You chuckled. “When you think about the past, you start running your mouth, but when you think about the future…you get real quiet…”
He froze.
You were entirely too perceptive for your own good.
And his silence was a loud confirmation.
He quietly cursed himself. It had taken a while, and a lot of apologies, but he had finally gained some semblance of trust with you again. And now here he was, thinking useless things. Especially since the last time he talked about the future to you, it was in a frantic haze where he said he’d lock you up in a maze where no one could find you. He hated himself for saying that. For scaring you.
He pulled away from you, showing you his back as he sat on the edge of the bed. He wanted to leave, to shut you out and act like nothing was wrong. However, you had followed him, and the warmth of your hand was already bleeding into his back. He swore he could even feel it in his mechanical arm.
“Talk to me.”
His eyes slid close as his body leaned forward. His elbows on his knees, and head in his hands. Your arms wrapped around his neck, and your body pressed against his.
“I keep thinking about…our future together. Which I know isn’t right because it’s not a given that I’m even in a future with you. I mean—I just barely regained a fraction of your trust, but—” His fumbled words became a sigh. “Ah…I feel a pervert”
“How so?”
“I…I keep thinking about kids…our kids.”He sighed roughly in an attempt to keep some deeper feelings from breaching the surface. “I know I shouldn’t. Especially after what I said to you. Having a kid by me would probably feel the same to you. You’d feel trapped—trapped to me, and I shouldn’t do that to you and—”
“Do think our kids would have your eyes or mine? Honestly, I’d want each of them to look like a good mix of the both of us, but if I had to choose, I’d choose your eye color.”
“Huh?” He asked dumbly.
“What if they had an eye color each? I think that’d look good too.”
What were you saying?
Were you really fantasizing about the two of your future children right now?
And you weren’t admonishing him for having thoughts like these either?
You had thought about it yourself?
“Am I dreaming?” He murmured, not meaning to say that out loud.
“Nope.” You pulled away from him for a moment, making your way into his lap. “You may have lost my trust before, but you’re slowly gaining it back. And plus,” You paused, gently brushing your palm against his cheek. “You’re my forever co-pilot, Caleb.”
He chuckled, hands slotting against your waist. “Co-pilot. Who’s the one with the credentials?”
“I’m the pilot in my life, just as you are in yours.” You smiled at him. “We’re both each other’s co-pilots.”
“Maybe I should make it official…?” He asked, unable to hide the timid hopefulness as he brought up a hand to tap your left ring finger.
You laughed. “I’ll give you the signal, Cap’in.” Then your gaze turned soft as you gathered his face in your hands. “I love you, Caleb. I always have.”
That knocked the wind out of him. He couldn’t have stopped the tears if he tried. They were sudden and unrelenting as they flooded from his tear ducts, down his checks, in between your fingers and down your wrists.
Despite this, he smiled.
“Thank you for loving me all this time, pip-squeak.”
:) This was just supposed to be fluff. I ended up making a man cry. AGAIN

Grocery Shopping
pairing: Frankie Morales x f! reader
summary: Your plan was to shop for groceries, Frankie had other ideas.
tags/warnings: explicit 18+, dirty talk, public sex, teasing, nickames (baby, princesita), Frankie has a filthy mouth, unprotected PinV, creampie (wrap it up, folks!), established relationship, soft! dom Frankie, a mirror, soft! Frankie, porn with a tiny sprinkle of plot, no physical description of reader apart from a pony tail, no use of y/n
notes: This only exists thanks to the post of @marshmallow--3 and their dream I found this morning. I hope this does your original idea justice :) <3 no beta reading, we die with the sinking ship
word count: 2k
After your ex left you you swore off love and men.
He made you feel unwanted, kicked your self worth with his feet and generally was an awful human being, but it didn’t stop you from crying.
Days turned into weeks where you were mourning something that only was perfect in your imagination because if you’d be real to yourself you knew you’re better off without him.
After the grief switched to rage you found yourself slowly enjoying going out again. Mingling with your friends in your standard bar like every Friday was when you spotted him. Tall, broad and a smile so contagious it created little butterflies in your stomach instantly.
You didn’t dare to go over to him and his equally attractive friends, so you observed for a while instead.
Some stolen glances and a Friday later, same time, same place, he finally came over and took a seat next to you at the bar. Asked what your drink of choice was, held eye contact the whole time, seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say and the warm feeling in your chest grew with every minute.
You quickly learned that his name was Frankie and you adored his name, repeating it in your head, tasting it on your own tongue and liked the taste more than you should after this short encounter with a man you just met. But something was different about Frankie and it made you both nervous and intrigued.
As weeks went on you enjoyed every single date with Frankie. He always showed up, kept his promises and never made you question your worth in any way. He worshiped the ground you walked on, wasn’t afraid to show public displays of affections, not when you were alone and also not when you were out with his or your friends.
Frankie effortlessly healed all the wounds your ex left and made you feel like floating.
It was too good to be true you told yourself, there had to be a catch.
But as weeks turned into months, him crashing at your place every chance he got, filling in the empty place in your heart and bed perfectly, it made you happier than you ever were before.
He made your heart skip a beat with his sweet nothings he never was afraid to whisper into your ear and he also never failed to make your panties wet just by his attentive nature. Frankie thrived in your pleasure, never grew tired of letting you know how much he adored every single inch of you, even the parts you were so insecure about like your soft belly and back rolls. But Frankie loved it all the same, covering every inch of your soft skin with kisses and tiny love bites which made you giggle every time.
He made you feel absolutely desired, something you so vainly missed in your prior relationship. This man made you feel like you could conquer the world as long as you were together.
Today, when the two of you are at the supermarket to grab some groceries for dinner you can’t help but tease him a bit. You’re wearing a strapless tank top without a bra because it is a particularly hot and humid summer day in Florida. All your clothes sticking to your skin, same as his but it isn’t gross. Actually the slight smell of his sweat turns you on incredibly much and in this heat he even has ditched his damn baseball cap for once, revealing his messy curls and a few of his unruly strands sticking to his temples and you withstand the urge to kiss and lick his sweat covered skin.
In the store you are at now, the AC is turned up all the way to max making your nipples almost painfully hard and mostly visible under the thin cotton fabric of your top.
You stand in the cereal aisle as you reach for the highest shelf, tip toeing while your tongue sticks out in exertion.
Just in this moment Frankie comes around the corner and freezes in his step as he sees you reaching up and your breasts on full display.
You don't notice him until there’s a low sound from next to you, almost a growl coming deep from his throat as he steps behind you and mumbles
“You need some help over there, baby?” as he presses his way bigger and hard frame against yours, making you feel his reaction to your little act against your backside.
You have to bite your lips to not moan out loud at the feeling.
He effortlessly reaches the cereal package and throws it into the basket you're holding before his calloused fingertips caress along your bare arms which are covered in goosebumps, definitely not only because of the icy AC air.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing? You want me to fuck you right here in the store or what was that lil’ act for?” he whispers against the shell of your ear and you shake your head, but you feel the heat pooling in your lower body immediately.
His goddamn filthy mouth.
“ ‘m sorry…” you purr and his hands find your hips, grabbing them tightly, pressing you even more against his hardened need and you mewl in response.
“Damn tease”, he whispers hoarsely before he turns you around and takes your hand, the basket you were holding dropping to the ground and walks with fast steps through the aisles towards the restroom.
Once you’ve reached the restroom you try not to think about the hygiene too much but you don’t have much time to wrap your head around it because Frankie’s lips crash into yours with such force your back slams against the door of the restroom.
He’s not breaking the kiss while he locks the door and hoists you up like you weigh nothing as you wrap your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck.
The kiss is so intense it leaves you breathless real quickly and you don’t remember him ever invading your mouth like this.
His kisses wander over your neck, to your collarbone, hot and open mouthed before he pulls down your top and latches onto your breast.
His tongue skillfully plays with the hardened bud before his teeth graze it gently which makes you whine desperately and the grip on the locks in the ape of his neck tightening.
He gives your other nipple the same attention, his tongue swirling around it as he braces himself up with one hand against the door.
His other hand wanders between your bodies as it snakes into your thin linen shorts and he grins against your neck triumphantly as he feels you're already soaking.
“Damn naughty girl, you like that don’t you ?” he purrs as he sucks at your neck and his hands explore your folds.
Drawing small, teasing circles before his two digits enter you and curl inside your walls coaxing a really needy moan out of you which he swallows as he kisses you again.
You’re mirroring his eagerness as you open his jeans shorts and pull them down just as much as needed to wrap your hand around his girthy length which makes him hiss instantly and it’s one of your absolute favorite sounds.
You pump him a few times, your hand already covered in precum as your thumb runs over his rosy tip before he bucks his hips more into your hand.
“Just as eager, hm?” you tease him as he gives you a throaty laugh in return before he removes his hand from your center and uses it to help him ease into you instead, pushing your airy shorts just to the side.
Your eyes find his as he does, making your cheeks burn hot but you don’t look away, neither does he, and it makes the moment so much more intense as he slowly pushes all the way in, burying himself up to the hilt and giving you a moment to adjust to him.
The familiar sting of him filling you up completely is the only pain you’re happy to endure before both hands palm your ass, squeezing it and he begins thrusting into you, gentle at first but he’s too pent up to hold back as the thrusts quickly get harder.
The obscene noise of him pumping into you fills the air and without warning he lets you down the ground and guides you in front of the milky mirror of the old restroom, bending you over the sink while he yanks your head back on your pony tail, his other hand guiding himself into you again and you moan loudly at the new angle he fucks you in.
“Look at you”, he commands, nudging his head towards the mirror.
“Look how fucking beautiful you look when I fuck you. Taking me so good, baby” he praises, his grip on your ponytail tightening and forcing you to look into the mirror and you whine helplessly.
His face is one grimace as he hisses again, this time paired with Spanish curses as he picks up the pace and it’s the fucking hottest thing you’ve ever witnessed as you hold onto the sink for dear life while watching him in the mirror.
“What would people think if they saw you like this, dirty girl? Your perfect tits on display for everyone to see?”
You wish you could answer but your mind is way too dazed to even be able to form any coherent words as the knot in your lower belly tightens.
“Frankie, please…” you whimper and it’s sounding way more pathetic than anticipated but you’re too high on pleasure to care.
“Please what, princesita ? Oh, you’re close aren’t you?” he purrs against your neck as he leans forward, his soft stomach pressed against your back as his hands palm your breasts, playing with your hardened nipples and it’s all you need to find your climax.
For a moment it feels like floating as your orgasm reaches you like a freight train and you cry out his name, definitely too loud for a public restroom like this.
“Fuck, baby, shhh” he shushes you, his voice thick with desire.
“Don’t want someone to catch us, do you?” He reminds you and you shake your head as his final last, brutal thrusts rock your world all over again and he finds his own release with a low moan into your ear.
“Fuuuuck….” he exhales breathlessly before kissing the spot behind your ear gently while he paints your inner walls with hot ropes of his cum, making you almost lose it again.
Really contradictory to his previous hard thrusts, you’ll definitely feel for a while, he covers your neck in soft feathery light kisses as you feel him soften inside of you.
After a moment he straightens back up, helping you to rearrange your own clothing to make you halfway presentable again while he grins mischievously, closing the zipper of his shorts. You take one last glance into the mirror, smirking yourself and shaking your head.
“That was definitely a premiere…” you retort and he smirks as he steps towards you again, his hands now on either side of your face.
“You okay?” he asks as he always does when he gets a little rougher with you.
“I’m perfectly fine, thank you” you answer and nuzzle his nose with your own.
“You think they already put away our groceries from the basket?” he chuckles, his forehead resting against yours before he kisses it gently and pulls away.
He steps towards the door, unlocking it and holds it open for you.
“I don’t know”, you answer as you step into the store again.
“But what I do know is that I’m fucking hungry now” you laugh and he chimes in with his warm laugh that makes his eyes crinkle, the one you love so much.
It’s moments like this you’re certain that Frankie is the best thing ever happening to you.
my masterlist in case you’re hungry for more :)

YOUR NEGLECTED READER IS SUCH A MOOD! They are prob the most realistic reader I've ever read in neglected batfam tags
LOL THANKS!!
I really want to make this whole thing for the weird Black kids in class, the ones making the anime references and doing the Naruto run in gym, the young Black kids obsessed with Sonic, JoJo’s, or Power Rangers. I also did this because I kind of wanted to see myself in more fanfics. I mean, all these neglected reader fanfics and not one Black reader is criminal.
I also don't like how black!readers are depicted in fics, like any AOT fics or JJK ones. I love a good toxic relationship like the next person, but sometimes I can't get behind it. I want to see the love for black women and men, as well as my non-binary friends. All I get is a ghetto reader, and I can't sit with that. There are so many different types of black people, and to stick to one trope is crazy.( Part of me also feels that these writers who create black fem!reader content aren't even black;(I just don't know how, but I can feel it in my gut.)
The reader is kind of a self-insert of me and how I would react if I were living in Wayne Manor. But then again, the reader could be anyone. Also, I'm so glad that so many people are enjoying my work. I did this just for fun because I was bored, but you guys really fw it, so I’m going to keep it up.
And I won't just be reading neglected works; I'll also read other Black!reader works. It's not like me to stick to one thing, lol.

Saint Valentine
You watch as your Word Bearer, Aziel, and his group go down to the basement for their regular ritual. Little did you know they were planning to summon someone to ask for some odd advice.

God love him, Aziel is very helpful and loyal (daresay a somewhat like a dog), and is a wonderful hype-man, but sometimes he can get a bit absurd and uncomfortably zealous about it. Not to mention him trying to convert you to believing the Four, whoever they are. You’re not particularly religious, but you’re of the opinion people can believe whatever they want to so as long as it doesn’t hurt others. You can take only so much chatter of worship of you and his gods after all. It got to the point you had to tell him to cut down the words of praise and worship lest you think he is being insincere. He was rather insulted by the fact that you questioned his sincerity for you, but he made an effort to not do that as much. His nicknames, however, never stopped.
You figured all this may be due to his loneliness and the lack of company of his peers, so you were relieved when Aziel found a group of Word Bearers to hang out with. Better for him to go out and socialize rather than pour all his focus on you. It wouldn’t do him much good to have too much of a codependent relationship with you.
Them together were an odd bunch, they all seem to look so different! Some seem to be living armor, while others, like Aziel, have more human like forms but with horns protruding from their head, looking the living embodiments of demons or monsters. They visited weekly, typically to discuss their own theological literature from what little you can understand in gothic, pray, and chant. It seemed no different than the Sunday worship that your christian friend took you to once. Sometimes listening to their chanting puts you to sleep at night.
Today’s visit was the same. The Word Bearers passed by with a nod or a wave as they made their way down to the basement as usual. You looked at your own Astartes carrying a box in his arms. Curious, you asked him, “What do you have in there?”
“Items for our ritual, my darling goddess.”
You couldn’t help but blush at his pet names, but frown at the mention of a ritual, “Please tell me that a half-decomposed animal carcass is not part of it.” the memory of a decomposing deer carcass that stunk up the house for several days made you want to wretch. Where did Aziel acquire such a thing any way? You wonder.
Aziel nuzzled you and reassuringly replied, “I promise it is nothing of that sort.”
Your shoulders sagged with relief and turned to start filling the kettle, “The usual for you guys?”
“Yes. Thank you, my radiant light.” The Word Bearer leaned down and kissed your temple. You giggled and smiled at him, “You’re welcome. You go ahead, tea and mocha will be ready up here when you’re done.”
Aziel purred as he nuzzled you again then left. You started to brew very strong coffee. You stuffed the massive tea strainer full with rooibos tea mixture, set out honey, a large tin of powder hot chocolate, and a jar of dried chili flakes. They had a preference for sweet and strongly flavored drinks given how much they enjoyed the mocha you made. Aziel and his friends would take a while and when they start their ending chants, it would be the perfect time to boil water.
You were reading a novel on your tablet when a cloying smoky scent filled your nostrils as if something was baked way too long. Was something burning? Smoke billowed out when you opened the door to the basement.
“Aziel?” You called out worriedly.
You coughed and waved the smoke away from your face. Concerned and forgetting that your Astartes could withstand a lot more than the average human, you rushed downstairs.
“We summon you, St. Valentine!”
You paused when you heard them say the name “St. Valentine”, catching on that they were trying to summon something or someone. When the smoke cleared, you were left standing awkwardly on the stairs, the group of Word Bearers staring at you, all positioned around a summoning circle drawn with what you hope was red paint. Three of them were kneeling in prayer, one was holding a book aloft, and another one was swinging an incense burner pouring with smoke. Aziel stood in front of them as if directing the entire ritual. A heart shaped box of chocolates and a bouquet of red roses laid in the middle. It was clear the St. Valentine they were trying to summon was the St. Valentine of Valentine’s Day. Not that it did anything.
“Sorry… Aziel. I… I thought… something was burning.” You stuttered in embarrassment, quickly turning to go back upstairs, “I’ll go, sorry I interrupted you.”
Suddenly, you felt yourself falling forward into an armoured embrace.
“Don’t leave. Please, my guiding star.” Aziel rubbed his face against your hair like a cat seeking affection.
“But don’t you have to finish the ritual?”
His grip tightened, scared that you would disappear if he let go, “We are finished, but the ritual was not successful.” He mumbled.
You felt bad for breaking their focus at such a critical moment thus contributing to their failure, “I’m sorry…” you started.
As if he knew already what you’re going to say, Aziel reassured you, “You have no fault in this. It is much more difficult to summon anything in ancient Terra. Do not fret.”
His fire-patterned eyes held a glimmer of humour and something else as you looked at him, “We summoned you after all.” he chuckled.
You snorted and laughed, “I don’t think that counts. Why are you guys trying to summon St. Valentine?”
“We wish to ask for his wisdom in properly courting our bonded.” Aziel replied earnestly.
Your mouth dropped open. Heat spread across your face and your heart skipped a few beats. You stammered, “You… I… um… you want to court me?” Aziel was very devoted to you and at times a little too devoted, but you thought it was just the way he was as a Word Bearer. Never in your wildest imagination did you think that Aziel had feelings for you to the point he would try to summon St. Valentine to ask for advice. It was a lot to take in. Perhaps you’ll take the lead and rein back Aziel a bit, knowing how gungho he could get
The fact that his buddies went along with him to do so just made the situation even more ridiculous. You laughed and reached to rubbed the smudge of dirt off the base of one of his horns. Purring loudly, Aziel leaned into your touch. You then cupped his face with your hands stroking the scarified mark on his left cheek, “I am very flattered. But…”
Aziel’s face fell.
His face brightened once again when you pecked his nose with a quick kiss, “You silly man. I was about to say let’s talk about how I want to be courted and we can go from there.”
If your Word Bearer had a tail, he would be wagging it in happy excitement, “You are saying ‘Yes’?” he asked.
“Yes. Now, go clean up and bring the chocolate and flowers up with you. Then we’ll chat. I’m sure it will help your brothers as well.”
Aziel gently pressed his lips against yours, “Of course, my lovely moon lily.” before releasing you from his grasp.

outlaw
pairing: bucky barnes x y/n authors note: day four!
the valentine’s day collection 2025: for the first 14 days of february, i’ll be posting a series of short stories inspired by songs, all centered around bucky barnes.
reblogs, likes and comments are always encouraged and highly appreciated! thank you ♡
Bucky Barnes doesn’t stay.
You’ve watched it happen over and over again. Women falling for the quiet storm behind his blue eyes, for the tragic past wrapped in leather and shadows. You’ve seen them smile at him like they’re the ones who will finally be enough to make him stop running.
But they never are.
Why can’t he find what he’s looking for?
Always searching, always restless—like the world itself isn’t enough to hold him. Maybe it never has been. Maybe after everything he’s been through, the idea of belonging anywhere feels more like a cage than a home.
You used to believe he would stop for you. That you could be his anchor, his reason to finally plant his feet on solid ground.
You were wrong.
Because Bucky Barnes is an outlaw, and love has never been a place he stays for long.
The first time you realized he was slipping away, you were standing on the balcony of the compound, the city lights stretching endlessly before you.
“You ever think about leaving?” he asked, his voice low, contemplative.
You frowned. “Leaving?”
His fingers tapped against the railing, his metal hand glinting under the moonlight. “Yeah. Just... getting on a bike and driving until the road disappears.”
There was something heavy in his voice, something distant. You ignored the way it made your stomach twist. “And go where?”
He shrugged. “Anywhere. Nowhere.”
You swallowed. “And what about the people you leave behind?”
Bucky didn’t answer. He just stared out into the night, his jaw tight, his grip on the railing flexing.
That was the first crack in the illusion you had built for yourself—the first sign that he was already planning his escape.
The thing about Bucky Barnes is that he never stays anywhere for very long.
And he never lets anyone get too close.
Some nights, he lets you in, just a little. There are moments when he holds you tighter than usual, when his fingers ghost over your skin like he’s memorizing the feel of you. There are times when he lets you see the cracks in his armor—the nights when he wakes up shaking, eyes wild, like he’s still trapped in a nightmare he can’t escape.
You never push. You never demand more than he’s willing to give. You just let him hold onto you, let him breathe you in like you’re the only thing anchoring him to the present.
But in the daylight, he’s already slipping away again.
It’s in the way he pulls away when you reach for his hand in front of the others. The way he never calls you his. The way he looks at the door like it’s always an option.
You should have known better than to believe you would be any different.
The night before he leaves, he kisses you like he’s trying to make a memory.
You don’t realize it at the time. You don’t know that this is the last time he’ll touch you like this, that tomorrow you’ll wake up to cold sheets and silence.
All you know is that something feels different.
His hands are desperate, his lips lingering a second too long against yours. When he pulls back, his eyes trace every detail of your face like he’s trying to memorize you.
“What’s wrong?” you whisper.
He shakes his head. “Nothing.”
You don’t believe him, but you let it go.
Because Bucky Barnes never says goodbye.
When he leaves, you don’t find a note. No explanation.
The only thing he leaves behind is the necklace you gave him—a simple dog tag, worn from his constant touch.
You stare at it, your fingers trembling as you trace the letters of his name.
Somewhere, he is already moving on, already running.
It must feel so alone out there, always running away from someone. But the cruelest part?
Bucky Barnes gets nowhere.
No matter how far he goes, he’s always running in circles—haunted by his past, by his regrets, by the love he refuses to let himself hold onto.
And you can’t chase him anymore.
