Not to dump my thoughts about my ocs in here but

Rynd, my very heavily sheltered bard who only knows what they know from old books and had to teach themself how to play their instrument, going to Wyll constantly for retellings of ballads he's heard and explanations for things they don't understand. (And there is a LOT they don't understand.) Sympathizes with him the most out of anybody else because of his deal with Mizora and his father banishing him, because they were always likened to an embodiment of Toldoth, a deity of darkness and destruction in the monastery they grew up, for nothing more than because they're a tiefling. They hang out and share stories and basically they're besties and Rynd tries never to leave the camp without him

Romero, who has traveled across the land and grew up in a very very full family of bards and creatives, having fun back and forth banters with Wyll. Teasing and flirting and joking, and all of their remarks made up on the spot. Despite being around so many bards (and being the son of a famous bard), he doesn't understand courting. At all. His father basically fucked and sucked his way around Faerûn, and only married his various partners and actually settled down probably about 30 years ago, so there was never any discussion about the "proper" way to date someone. So Wyll teaches him how to court someone and Romero soaks in all the old ballads about love, while creating new ones that tie in to Wyll's vision of a perfect courting. Romero helps him take care of his new horns (because he grew up with a tiefling parent and younger tiefling siblings) and regales him with tales his father told him. And ahhh idk I just really love them together

Wyll Ravengard is charisma king, he does not rehearse his romantic lines, his mind makes that shit up on the spot like it's nothing, see the light people!!!

That is every other Royal that exists in the Nether and also at least some of the demons that challenged him for his Royal title lol.

Believe me, no one was or is more surprised then me XD;

So, the thing about where Rire's ichor manifests is that it kinda exists and doesn't exist at the same time. Meaning that his upper back is where the manifestation point is anchored, BUT it can still manifest with a bit of space in between it and his back hence why it will manifest over his clothes and not through them.

So if you touch where the manifestation point is sans the ichor, than you are just straight up touching his back. With the ichor, he still gets sensory input from the tentacles to his back but it's a lot more soft and muted esp the further away it gets from him. As you've seen implied though, he would feel a very sharp pain if a great deal of damage was done to the ichor where it clusters at the manifestation point, since he'd DEF be feeling that straight in his back lol.

He is definitely a top and the only way he would bottom for anybody is if they somehow forced him to.

Ah i knew i'd answered this a long time ago [finally found it]! Holy crosses (those that have been blessed) can also burn him but they would need to be in contact with him the entire time. Being a Royal he also has more of a tolerance to these than normal demons.

Well, unless said person actually has the undeniable ability to make good on their words, Rire would just stand there rather genially with that little smile he sometimes has and let them finish.

And then he might use them as reverse suggestions for dealing with said person (why would you give him any ideas!!?)

In BTD canon it is quite possible that they actually haven't in person. But we are using creative license here haha.

Rire heals a lot faster than a human. Cain is not my character so I don't know how his stacks up.

I've grouped these asks cos they kind of have similar answers - 360° (jk sorry sorry to the second q that is just a very common spelling mistake and I couldn't resist XD; )

Now, even though we mashed all the characs together in BTD, they all actually come from different storylines and so their canons outside the "BTD canon" may differ. This tends to bleed in. With this in mind:

The rules of Rire's canon (eg the concept of Battle Royales and how to become a Royal) don't apply to Cain. Anyway, they don't live in the same place either.

Cain is canonically the oldest and most OP character in BTD lol so yes he is stronger than Rire - you might've noticed, but Rire is never in the same drawing as Cain voluntarily. I play with this along with the "natural weakness" aspect - which I've also referred to as scissors-paper-rock rules XD Basically; demons beat humans, angels beat demons (purely because demons have weakness against holiness).

Whatever that one is where he doesn't particularly care what someone else identifies as. It really makes no difference to him or how he will act.

There are viruses in the Nether that if contracted could potentially kill you, yes. Part of being a Royal is becoming a lot more robust than normal Demons though. As for if/when Rire dies, I dunno maybe either in a Battle Royale somewhere thousands of years down the line or by old age (which is rare for a Royal but not impossible if you play your cards right).

Thorn is halfway through getting up off of Fox’s bunk to go dump the datapads on the Commander’s desk when a hand catches his wrist.

He flinches, and it’s instinctive, reactionary, violent. It’s a damn good thing that the hand loosens its grip immediately, as if it hadn’t, it’s owner would’ve met a face full of datapads. 

“Manda kriffing hells, Fox, really?”

“Sit the kark back down, shabuir,” Fox snaps, with all of his usual tact. 

“I’m just putting the datapads on your desk so you don’t decide to do them in the middle of the night,” Thorn replies placatingly, and he tries to tug his wrist out of Fox’s grip again. Fails. In his defense, he’s tired. “Fox.”

“You have a broken leg, sit the kark down,” Fox snaps, breaking out the Commander voice this time, and that’s surprising enough that he doesn’t even fight back when Fox kicks his knee on his unbroken leg out from under him, even though the impulse is there.

He falls on the bed with a thump, and unceremoniously drops the datapads on the ground. “Seriously?”

“Sorry, do you want me to call Naat and tell her that you’re ignoring her instructions? Because I have no problem with ratting you out. I’ll take great joy in it, actually.”

Thorn glares at him. Fox looks back mildly, face pleasant. 

Force. In his months away, he’d forgotten how infuriating that expression was.

“Listen, I’m just gonna--”

“No, you’re not,” Fox interrupts, and tackles him fully onto the bunk.

“Oh, kriff you,” Thorn says, but he sinks into the violent embrace anyway, getting in a hit to Fox’s ribs that makes him curse. Thorn grins at that, barely managing to avoid the elbow Fox throws his way, and catches his arm, pinning it.

(And they’re clones, they’re born and bred soldiers. Weapons down to the bone. Natborns just don’t… understand. Violence is always going to be the language they understand best.)

Fox doesn’t try to get out of the pin, though, and his hands are insistent in their cling even though a punch had probably been their goal just moments before, and Thorn makes a mental note to prioritize looking into what happened when he was away. Despite how obviously touch-starved as he is, Fox very rarely allows himself the luxury of being anything even approaching the realm of needy. To have him clinging to Thorn's side like a cephalopod is worrying, even if Thorn admittedly doesn't mind the contact. 

But...

“I really should go back to my bunk,” Thorn says, and pokes the back of Fox’s neck, squirming halfway out of his grip. In response, Fox kicks him in the shin. “Hey!”

“Lie the kark back down, kriffer. Naat will kill me if I let you go back to your bunk.”

“No, she won’t,” Thorn says, rolling his eyes. “For some goddamn reason she actually likes you.” 

Fox physically rolls over to face the wall in response, because he’s a dramatic bastard. “Yeah, that’s why she’ll grant me the mercy of death instead of prolonging the torture,” he says dryly, “now, stay. Sleep. That’s an order, Commander.”

Kriff. Kriff. He wants to, but...

If there's anything the last few months of back-to-back escort missions has made Thorn acutely aware of, it's his own destructive potential. Even without Hammer, he can cause damage. He’s a CC. Causing damage is his entire purpose. It’s literally in his blood. 

(And he’s not-- he’s not talking about the affectionate controlled fights, here. This is a wild kind of destruction, uncontrollable, like a Kamino typhoon, brought upon by specific memories, sensations, dates, feelings.)

In hindsight he knows that he was extremely lucky that it was Senator Amidala who woke him up during his last mission. Senator Amidala is kind, and merciful, and apparently knows exactly how to dodge when waking someone up who's still trapped in the throes of a nightmare, and Thorn is never ever telling Fox about that incident, because Fox's fear tends to manifest as lectures on tactics where he's citing regulations, and Fox only cites regulations when he's either justifying a dubious course of action to a superior officer, or scared out of his goddamn mind and grasping at straws.

"That… might not be the best idea," Thorn says. He hates to turn Fox away on the rare occasion that he actually asks for something, but he'd hate to hurt him more. "The anniversary of, well, you know, is coming up, and recently I've been—" twitchy, jumpy, unpleasant, vaguely murderous to the point that Thire has started making snide comments comparing me to you which is hypocritical as hell considering that it’s Thire saying that, "—off. I've been off."

Fox doesn't say anything in reply, but his silence feels unimpressed anyway. Thorn sighs. "Briar woke me up the other day by poking me with butt of Jek’s sniper rifle, and I managed to get in a damn good punch before I realized where I was. She was literally holding a gun-- turned on stun, don’t give me that look-- and standing a full fifty inches away, and I still managed to break her nose. Sleeping in the same bed as someone else is not a good idea right now."

Fox is quiet for a moment, but then he rolls over, punches Thorn’s arm, then collapses on him, going limp and pinning him to the bed. Thorn wheezes as his still-bruised ribs protest, and Fox headbutts his chin as an apology, says, “I know when people are going to hurt me, Thorn.” A pause, then: “You won’t.”

Kriff. There’s a bone-deep certainty there, and it’s one Thorn can’t argue with. It’s like by saying the words Fox has spoken it into existence, created a guarantee that Thorn can trust, made it so that he physically can’t hurt him. He says it the same way he’d say Kamino is an ocean planet, or the clones were made for the Jedi-- like it’s an undeniable fact, like there’s no argument to be had because it’s simply the truth. 

And trusting Fox comes as natural as breathing does at this point, but seeing how that trust is completely and unconditionally returned feels uncomfortable in a way that Thorn doesn’t want to examine, so. Time to change the subject. “Are you trying to break my ribs, osikovid?”

Fox snorts. “Not my fault that you have weak bones.” 

“We have the same bones, di’kut.”

“That’s what the Chancellor wants you to think.”

Thorn blinks. Blinks again. “How much sleep have you gotten in the last week?”

“How much have you gotten?” Fox asks, and his voice is soft, but there’s a thread of steel woven into it, a hint of beskar-clad spine in the pointed nature of his question, even as he somehow manages to simultaneously entwine himself further into Thorn’s side. It reminds Thorn vividly, almost violently, of when he was a cadet and Blackout would do the same, and he has to force himself to breathe through the instinctive panic that thinking about his batchmate always brings. 

Blackout is smart, and strong, and he’s got the best luck out of any vod. He's in special ops because he's one of the best. He’ll be fine.

He has to be fine.

Anyway, Blackout’s grip as a cadet tended to be looser, probably because he wasn’t dealing with fifteen layers of repression and touch starvation, but the weight of Fox’s body feels the same and that realization sits heavy on his chest. “Touché,” he says, and Fox mumbles something that sounds suspiciously like knew it into his blacks.

Thorn sighs, and he tries to muffle the yawn that follows it. Fails.

"Go to sleep, di'kut," Fox says, because he's kriffing omniscient or some other osik, and Thorn really shouldn't, but--

Maybe he can just close his eyes for a moment or two.

About Zhongli's state in the game right now..

I just want to vent(?) and let out my thoughts about this whole ordeal as a Zhongli simp. Take note that if you are someone who has Zhongli or wants Zhongli/is planning to roll for Zhongli and wants to read this post, be prepared. Because as much as i hate to say it, this one is gonna be harsh. I wish it wasn't, but the truth really hurts and is also something that i struggled to accept sjdjdjchsk

Ngl i'm probably going to get hands thrown at me because of this post but i really, really want to vent about what Mihoyo did to his character. This week has been a roller coaster when it comes to Zhongli. From being super excited for his release, being elated getting him, to being absolutely devastated at all the comments and information that had come out prior to his release.

Basically, as a 5*, Zhongli is very underpowered and underwhelming. This is something i hadn't noticed myself because my Zhongli still didn't have a proper build and weapon yet, but when i did, i felt my own happiness plummet at the weight of the reality.

I don't care if he is strong as a support or a dps, and no i don't want him to necessarily be good at being dps. But this will include a lot of stuff regarding damage because he is a five star with nuking potential. It's also this way because he is THAT underpowered. Even having him be a very good support would be a blessing, but as it goes, he is not.

First it was the comments in Youtube videos, arguing with each other about how bad/good he was. Those comments made me question a lot of things. But i felt absolutely crushed when Jinx and Tuner uploaded their stream of their Zhongli and Xinyan testing.

For those that don't know, Jinx and Tuner run a youtube channel where they test many things in Genshin and provide objective information about them based on the results of their testing. When i saw how incredibly disappointed and frustrated they were with Zhongli, i felt really, really sad. After all, they provide maths. Not only are they one of the genshin youtubers that i trust but they also study characters closely and tell you if a particular 5 star character is worth pulling for or not. And you guessed it, they concluded that Zhongli was NOT worth pulling for as a five star character because he is so heavily underpowered.

Then there comes the arguements presented.

Majority of people thought that Zhongli was going to be more of a support character rather than dps, and i could see why, but ironically he has more potential as a phys carry. And this information comes from the testing that Jinx and Tuner made.

However

Xiangling is still a better physical carry than Zhongli especially when you take into account the abilities she can use while attacking. Zhongli's pillar has questionable energy recharge generation, something that i too had noticed. Every tick of the pillar does NOT guarantee an energy, and it drove me crazy. Meanwhile you have Xiangling who can easily bring out energy with Guoba if she so wanted.

And you need C6 Zhongli in order for him to heal like Noelle too by the way. And Noelle is a 4* that is guaranteed on your first time playing the game. 👁

Zhongli's shield is good for sure, but then you have Noelle who can shield + heal. In terms of stuff being done, Noelle's is better. Zhongli's shield is strong yes, but it can STILL disappear after one or two hits from enemies (at least from our experience in higher AR. I have no idea if the same applies to lower AR).

Now for his meteor. Yes, his meteor is good. Not only is it spammable, but it deals great damage as well. BUT THEN you have Ningguang who can be a better burst spam and possibly deal more damage than his could do (remember, Ning has a lot of jades that could each deal 1k if built properly). The duration for petrification is 3 seconds too, which, a lot of people argue isn't enough time (personally, i have no problem with this since i do not mind it much). And apparently his meteor got nerfed because it does not increase geo damage and phys damage as it used to in the beta testing with petrification.

How about his ability in being able to break shields by holding E? Truth be told, i expected that he was going to be able to explode all shields in one go, but it does not work for every one of them apparently. Shields by hilichurls do break with just one E hold. But the ones by Mitachurls don't. I also tried breaking the Geo Hypostasis's pillar using his E hold and it did not break immediately. This could differ however. 👁 I'm still not sure if its because i have not properly built him right for breaking them or not. And about Stonehide Lawachurls... it's the same as the Geo Hypostasis pillar. The geo shield does not break immediately.

I'm not saying all this because i am mad at Zhongli. Rather, i am disappointed at what Mihoyo did to him. I am absolutely happy to get Zhongli. He is the one character i had been looking forward to for MONTHS. I saved resources in advance for him and even held off on leveling up my current team so i could dump all said resources on him when i get him. I stayed as AR35 for many many weeks because i wanted to level him up properly before ascending my World Rank. I think he is super fun to use especially with his burst and i absolutely adore the animation and when he crosses his arms and does his 'osmanthus tea' monologue at the most random times with his lil hand gestures. Even just listening to his voice while being idle fills me with so much happiness. There is so much joy in getting him. Which is why i am very disappointed at Mihoyo for how they butchered his character.

After Jinx and Tuner made their video about the results of their testing with Zhongli, i was genuinely saddened but i gradually came to accept the truth. It sucks, it hurts, but it is the truth. Even they said that they wanted Zhongli to be a GOOD character, but he is just insanely underpowered right now. You can invest resources into him and make him work, but compared to 4* and the other 5*, it takes so much effort. To make him decent, you'd have to level his stuff up so much but that also applies to four star characters and they perform better than him. Husbando > meta yes, but i gotta say that it still stings when my underleveled Xiangling and Fischl could do a much better job being a dps and support respectively than him when he's many levels above them.

Which brings me to the main point of this post.

Why was Mihoyo scared of making him strong? OP? Why did they nerf him so much? He is a 5* character Mihoyo, make him be STRONG at something. It's why he's a five star. But no. They watered him down so much to the point where even four star characters can do his own job better than him. His pillar doesn't even deal damage upon being destroyed just like Geo MC's. The range of his pillar's resonance is too small, and given the fact that his auto attacks can push enemies (except for the bigger ones of) or can be easily walked out of range to is 👁👄👁

And it deals criminally low damage. Like, why? Why not rack up the numbers? What is the problem????

The more i think about it, the more i can see the points that people have been pointing out. If the issue of energy generation with his pillar is RNG based, then that's simply screwed up. It already adds into the lists of problems that doesn't help with how underpowered he is. And as i am writing this post rn, there are lots and lots of Chinese players enraged about how weak he is as a 5* and causing HUGE fights in forums. People in the genshin subreddit had been debating again and again over heated arguements about his abilities. Even if you visit the genshin subreddit today and check every post about Zhongli, you will see people in the comments mention stuff about how he performs in the game and his abilities.

Mihoyo, give him a buff. I know that giving buffs isn't your thing, but there is honestly thousands and thousands of people expressing their disappointment and anger in how weak you've made him. He is a fan favorite. I love him. Majority of the genshin fanbase do. His character is really good and it hecking sucks that he is having major difficulties in fitting in on the game right now. He deserves better. Make him strong. Buff him. Adjust some of his abilities. Literally give. our. geo. dad. justice.

Those who don't care about damage is probably rolling their eyes at my rant rn but given how objectively weak he is compared to the other characters in game, it won't hurt if he gets a buff.

When the survey for Zhongli and Xinyan comes, rate him low. I know. It sucks. It's despicable. Even i hate it. But that is why we have to do it. If we become honest to Mihoyo about how much weak they made him, then maybe they are going to consider buffing or adjusting his abilities.

I'm sorry for the negative post. There is still hope for geo dad. He is incredibly fun to use but if you are debating on whether to pull for him or not, my answer would be

If you absolutely love him as a character, go for it.

Otherwise, just wait for now. Because his state in the game isn't looking so good at the moment.

For those that already have him and are also disappointed or saddened by what happened, take comfort in knowing that tons of people are still using Zhongli (including me who went through such roller coaster of emotions lmaoaoaoa) regardless of the information that he is behind in terms of being a dps and support. And that there is still hope for him (WAIT FOR THE SURVEY AND RATE HIM LOW YO 😭😭😭 IT WON'T GUARANTEE THAT MIHOYO IS GONNA BUFF HIM BUT WITH ALL THE PEOPLE RAGING RN THERE IS A HIGH POSSIBILITY THAT THEY WILL LOL)

summer 2019 anime sum-up

lmao i realized i never did this and posted the fall season b4 this.... oops

kimetsu no yaiba: tbh started out kinda meh. and now it’s turned into one of the new big shounens. i was not expecting that. nearing the end got rly good and i was rly looking forward to more episodes! tanjiro gets cooler and cooler! animation is rly nice (thanks ufotable) and the way tanjiro’s water is animated. like. aesthetic asf. it’s so good. i love black-haired emo dude and zenitsu (my spirit animal) and ofc nezuko she is adorable im c r y. side note: the hashira? i think they’re called? some of the ugliest fkn characters i’ve seen in ages like flame boy? stone boy? i HATE them. and the gem dude too like man get a new tattoo artist on god.... he needs it.,,,,,,and inosuke is so pretty it’s unfair

danmachi 2: wtf yo. haruhime is so pretty but not a fan of her personality! bell still cute af and still don’t rly like aiz! animation good as always, and my god i shit myself whenever the argonaut theme starts up bc that is ? one of the best pieces of non-sawano hiroyuki pieces i’ve ever heard? addicted to it. and the opening! love the dynamics, the brief ‘rain’ scenes like when mikoto slashes the raindrops and just her motion basically? as an animator that is what i aspire to accomplish because i just love that. tiny little scene. 

arifureta: this would have been so much better had they dragged out mc’s op-ifying process! made him suffer more! i explained this briefly in my ‘first thoughts’ post for this season, but story-wise and pacing-wise his power-up could have been so much more deserved and gratifying. think shield hero- loser suffers, gets angry, slowly builds up power in an epic payoff! would have been so epic too. and also if they’d made his gained powers less.... crazy nerfed. again: HE SHOULD HAVE SUFFERED MORE AND THIS WOULD HAVE MADE A BETTER SHOW. harem thoughts: yue- meh. sucky char honestly. shea- my fav girl, she is a great character don’t judge- sexy and love her personality and love her character design and love how much fanservice she gets lol. panty flash ftw. dragon girl- discount darkness honestly , tho nice design. and mermaid girl- yuck, annoying,  DO NOT like the ‘papa’ trope! (ahem sao.) it’s gross. also just fuck mc’s classmates honestly- paladin dude sucks ass, healer girl OOF that last episode ruined her, samurai girl is ok i guess. hate ai-sensei too like shut UPP annoying ass HOEEEEE (postscript: opening=very epic too)

kanata no astra: plot twist? check. trillion well-done plot twists? check. this was done very well. i am so happy. all those plot twists and turns would usually suck in any regular anime- but this was written with GODLIKE ability. thank you, lerche. legit, this was such an enjoyable ride, i eagerly awaited each new ep! typically i hate space-related stuff but like! survival stuff gets my goat.... like this was good- (tho maybe more technical-stuff in the survival theme would make it so cooler) what shocked me the most: (spoilers alert) didn’t end up hating quitterie or funi. (tho the puppet made me want to strangle smth) luca’s gender had rly confused me but i’d decided on him being a boy- so basically that reveal left me like WHOA. i died. did luca rly have to show emo boy their tity tho... kanata losing his arm gave me the yeeeks, charce being the traitor was made sO WELL into a surprise even tho i’d kinda already suspected him<- like that was just fucking amazing writing there. gj. and ares the princess! ok man! shocked! AND also the whole clone thing, just fucked me right up. up the ass. like there are probably more plot twist layers in this than a fkn ogre has.... anyway shrek aside, yun?’s character arc was very pleasing, i think that was done very well! and the ending made me UwU like BRO? goals tbh. yeah this is a hidden gem and is just so good, so well-written overall. 

cop craft: didn’t have high expectations. i am now,,, quite,,, shocked &,,, blown away. sweetheart this is a good fucking show. so why @ livechart.me DOES IT HAVE 7.40 STARS WHEN FKN ARIFURETA HAS 7.72. can someone explain this to me? i’m outraged. LIVID.  matoba and tilarna were amazing characters btw! loved their dynamic! briefly i thought it might get romantic! nope, it didn’t, so it’s all good. actions scenes were epic, tilarna’s design and outfits were so much nicer than i thought they’d be like. she is so cute. and the op- man, if that is not such a bopper vibe then idk what is. i could watch it forever. it deserves so much more than what it’s got rn.

naka no hito genome: (serious question: is this considered some sort of isekai?) genome gave me btooom vibes honestly but like- this is SO much better than btooom and most game/trap/ kinda shows. fkn BOP of an op, especially the sequence at the end with short clips of each character in action (nutt). paka-san was a good boy and he deserves irl merch. i fell in LOve with all the characters (bubble boy= hot, akatsuki= ok meh actually kinda boring, karin= hot and i want her to punch me, ruromori= beautiful 12/10 would let her stalk me, sleepy eyes boy= baby + dazai vibes and hot af, twin boy= also hot, onigasaki= hot and love him so much, and loli girl= her light grenades got annoying but nice char design) anyways yeah more of this would be epic. i wanna see sakura and her twin reunite, and how they get out basically! also animation quality was very good which is surprising considering it’s a silver link anime.

kono yo no hate de koi wo utau shoujo yu-no: i include the whole title bc this is a good anime. (also livechart.me why 7.27 stars i will fuck you up) only meh part of this is the return to earth from dela granto bc that was like a culture shock and honestly at that point i’d forgotten a lot about what had happened on earth and didn’t care as much. btw, f ayumi and f the other brown-haired oneesan. mio and kanna ftw. obvs i didn’t understand the sayless x takuya thing like dumbass horny teenager . why u gotta creampie the worst girl. u have mio. bruh. (tho mio x ‘oyabi!’ boy is a great ship) also, takuya’s mom? keiko-san? idk if you’ve noticed but that’s literally my name so yeah just glad to finally have some keiko representation. altogether goodass anime. the time travel/ rezero esque reset thing almost got me but this was done well. so no problems. both ops very good. first song was bae, second also bae (just realized it’s by konomi suzuki, one of my waifu idols, so yea nice) and ed2 also so pretty! also yu-no’s design was rly pretty, the outfit colours, and her pigtails rly suited her :)

granbelm: sorry this is the last one lol this was a long ass post! other than the fact i dont rly like mecha this was good.... action, CHARACTER designs aesthetic asf, honestly rly pretty ok. i liked the cast, very diverse and more depth than most shows of this ilk. op was nicely choreographed- especially the part where the girls’ faces are contorted by their gems, showing their magical girl side. nicely done. mangetsu didn’t end up being that bad a char, and honestly? suigetsu is best girl and deserved better. and the ending too- like, bro, that made me kinda sad. some off points: anna’s mom was a little unrealistic as a mom like woman- please learn to control your child, and, white-haired girl’s sister should have played a bigger part, based on how her parts in the opening were emphasized! (quick note- blue girl, love her, great bad guy, when she dumped anna made me so happy honestly, she is beautiful, and i couldn’t actually decide who i wanted to win between her and suigetsu....)

My Tav is ace so they boinked Astarion the first time out of a weird cross of fear to loose out on a relationship they wanted, and a curiosity for wtf the allos were on about.

Was it a good and start to a relationship? no. BUT.

Astarion is a Pansexual recovering from trauma, so headcanon wise and once communications are open that goes great with an Ace Tav. Everyone seems to proposition Tav but Tav just wants Astarion cuddles.

However being aware of Astarion as in a state of recovery, Tav checks in at every encounter.

Halsin, this guy wants an open thing with feelings... is that what Astaion wants? No? Cool here is the reminder Tav loves him most, and sex isn't part of the equation.

Mizura, there isn't a cut scene if you turn her down but in my head same song and dance. I think here Astarion might be feeling threatened by all the sexual attention thrown Tavs way, might say somthing scathing he doesn't mean and Tav gets to once again remind him that Tav loves him most, and sex isn't part of the equation. Also not to degrade your partner because of the action of others.

Emperor, is a manipulative fuck so Tav wouldn't anyways, and needs extra cuddle the day after to calm down- the over whelming attention is getting to Tav too now. Maybe this is a good moment for Tavs back story share with him.

Act 3 Astarion, Tav at this point is secure enough in their relationship to say no. They in fact just make out and cuddle on his grave, then go back to the elf song and have a real talk about sex. What Tav get out of sex, what Astarion wants and needs and how they can work together to be happy.

I had an internet friend conspiratorialy tell me Astarion will agree to a 5 way with the drow twins and Halsin after Caz, I'm torn on this one. I think my Tav would be down long as Astarion was, and trust him to make his own decisions. So maybe that would happen? Especially if we can check up on Halsins feeling and Astarions feeling on those feelings- and if the option was there for Tav to dip out and let those 4 have fun, they would lol.

Not to anger the Halsin girlies but it's very backwards that Astarion is one of the two candidates available for pursuing a poly relationship. When you ask the vamp for permission to indulge in the bear, there's a dialogue branch where he expresses that he is fine with Halsin specifically because he trusts the druid will keep it at sex only. Halsin's initial offer absolutely does not sound like it comes from a place of pure lust or seeking fun only. "My heart does not stir lightly but now it does." And all that... Astarion doesn't know this, he's not listening in on convos from the other side of the camp (unlike some...). How is that not emotional cheating? He gives permission for casual flings, not developing feelings with and for others.

And worst of all, that's the less gross angle. After all, Halsin comes onto you before the Cazador issue is resolved, Astarion still then feels like a burden 'who doesn't have much to offer' to Tav, now that he isn't comfortable with sleeping with them. So how could he refuse Tav asking to open the relationship? A "No." might cost him his love after all. Like it's kinda wild how there's no option to go "You know what? Fuck it, I'm telling Halsin I'm not going through with it." after Astarion asks defeated and scared if you're pursuing sex elsewhere because you two aren't doing it. Insane that treating with care an incredibly touching character arc that deals with consent, boundaries, and finding your own voice is, for a moment, thrown out of the window for the sake of meme fucking.

anyways, i tried to stick to canon/what could be plausibly canon as much as possible for each character (including the embarrassing bits). the headcanons go through jinbei!

so yeah, luffy drinks for the occasion (parties mostly). the only time i see him potentially drinking alcohol by itself outside of a party is maybe if he wanted to sing some tunes with the crew or something (again, based off that whole image of what it is to be a pirate)

hi op ive never spoken to you and your post just came up in my recommended so i hope its okay to dump my opinions on here lol. but like, i honestly think the same thing with all the complaints ive seen.

for me, the ending of tokyorev (and tbh all the plot writing thus far) is definitely not above criticism, there's been tons of plot holes and forgotten facts and pacing issues this whole time. and there are, of course, certain criticisms about the end in particular that are extra valid, such as, what happened with inupi's disappearing scar? you're really telling me they managed to stop the fire?? and most importantly, WHY WAS THE END ONLY TWO CHAPTERS??

but i can't 100% blame wakui ken for these problems, a lot of it im sure lies in deadlines and poor decisions made by editors, the life of a mangaka is tough and lacking a lot of control that fans seem to assume is there.

that aside though, we need to be focusing on if this the ending we deserve. after everything, does this ending fit the tone and genre of the story, does it fulfill the promises made from the start, does it feel like an appropriate ending to each character's journey? personally, i think it does. this feels like the right way to end everything. the problem i think the majority of the fandom is having is that it was so incredibly rushed that while, yes, tokyorev as a whole did deserve this ending, it didn't deserve it yet. i think if we had gotten another arc or two, and paced the denouement in a more palatable way, we would be seeing a lot less criticism of the ending itself. but i think a lot of people are confusing their disappointment in the delivery with the product.

that said, so many of the arguments are so stupid and nitpicky, and i feel like people are missing a lot of context clues that fill it out a bit more. yes, mikey and takemichi will remember, but they're not the only ones. not only do i think they would still relate the experiences of everything that happened to the people around them; they know from firsthand experience that sharing knowledge with their friends and taking some of the burden off their shoulders has only been a good thing, but also, chifuyu remembers!! this is really important to me, because there's no real reason why only chifuyu would remember along with them. which implies it could be more than just him too.

there's so many mysteries in how the final time leap happened, whether mikey and takemichi both count as the contact for each other, or if maybe someone else acted as a contact. you could say that chifuyu counted as a contact, hence why he remembered, but why would it only be him? why not... everyone else that was there at the kantoman fight?

the point im getting at here is, the missing chunk in the ending is very frustrating, especially combined with unanswered questions about how story arcs resolved in the final timeline (im personally very interested in how koko's character arc goes down, for reasons entirely unrelated to my url don't worry about it), but in a way, that openness is also an opportunity to think of your own answers, believe what you want of the ending, god forbid use some critical thinking and imagination? but it seems a lot of people in this fandom would rather complain about a happy ending than do any of that, which makes the tokyorev tag very sad to scroll through.

anyway sorry again op, im kinda sick rn and i have a lot of disjointed feelings about the ending and the fandom's response to it... it just seems so sad how negative everyone is being about what could be a very good ending given some fanon work to fill in what we weren't given.

I really really do not understand why people are so mad at the ending? You wanted a happy ending? You have it. You wanted draken back? You got it. But somehow you wanted him back without a time leap? What did you think he was gonna do? Be resurrected? You wanted everyone to be happy and alive? You got that. I understand it's been a bit rushed but why on earth would you be upset at having a happy ending where everyone lives when we've had so much death so far? YOU WANTED THIS AND NOW YOU HAVE IT AND YOU STILL FIND REASONS TO COMPLAIN.

And everyone complaining that "these aren't the characters we have struggled with" well how were you expecting an everyone lives ending without a time leap? You wanted an everyone lives ending! Would you have preferred everyone died? No because you'd have found something to complain about then too. The thing is, both takemichi and Mikey still remember, will always remember. The story has been about their shared bond, they will always know what they've been through. It doesn't mean everything is erased or that these are not the characters we know and love. Mikey and takemichi will always know how they came to be here and will always carry the same anxieties or even joys that they had before.

I wanna start this out by saying how much I adore B.A.P and how much this D.C. Concert means to me. I actually went to see them at this exact venue four years ago. Back then I was a sophomore in high school and now I’m a sophomore in college and I just idk it’s so important to me bc I’ve grown up as a person and B.A.P has really helped me do so and follow my dreams so lmao I’m emotional and my night couldn’t have been better.

 Ok so b shoo is really good like he got some jams. It really got the venue even more hyped up and it was great.

And sprayed us all lollll he wore sunglasses most of the show and was on our side A LOT and he just looked so in his element and lifted his arms and swayed a lot like his calm kinda dancing, I cheered so much for his parts in skydive I just seeing skydive as ot6 really made me want to cry omg he just looked so comfy and happy also during be happy he lifted his shirt and showed his stomach and it was sorta not like abs but flat and I just seeing him fed is so good to me like you don’t need abs u beautiful man and his voice idk I just feel IT IN MY SOUL oh my god when he speaks and raps it just envelopes you I reallly love him so much

 Daehyun: HE WAS SO EXTRA like he ran up to so many phones and sang to people and high fived people and blew kisses and threw hearts and he threw me and my friend a heart and I just cry omg he really is such a sweetheart and joked a lot too and kept saying I love you to everyone, his solo was so good like he’s really improving so much and his dance jesus fuck I exploded, seeing him smile is so amazing and his vocals were so so so good and clean, he really did so well I’m so proud of him, and during some point he wiggled his butt in front of the crowd as his dance and LMAO why are you learning from junhong hahahahaha Daejae was prevalent oh my god, they ran forward during Spy I think, held onto each other and did that hella corny dance where they sway their hips oh my god and they held onto each other a lot it was so cute like I love seeing them have fun and mess around with each other

  Youngjae: JEEZ BALL OF ENERGY he didn’t come to our side that often but I tried to get as many vids of him omg he was going ham on the crowd and spraying so much water on the other side and like during the songs where they don’t do choreo watching youngjae jump and dance and just enjoy himself is literally the best thing to grace your eyes with, he’s so bubbly and amazing and such a ball of sunshine oh my god he also gave the cutest waves and he waved at my friend right next to me uahdjkfkvlb his voice was A++++ god frick he’s got such good vocals I cry 

  Jongup: As soon as the song starts he’s like HOT DAMN but when they did talks or their more free songs he was the softest bean omg, istg he kept looking in our direction but I don’t know if he actually saw people? Even with Sayoko to hold Nozo-chan back, I still think Nozo’s being really, really insensitive here.

Okay…the rules of long hair state you must pull your hair out from towels. They missed a good opportunity to do that shoujo sparkle thing with that, y’know, even if to create mood whiplash.

There is something to be said about bystander effect here, I think, and how people award proactivity rather than being passive...especially with magical girls and those other kinds of people who act as “heroes” during times of crisis.

Seeing a story about the pits of despair naturally means you can see people get better – I think that’s why we need to have both stories that are light and fluffy + dark and dreary.

I see Naofumi keeps a Balloon (<- how I’ll refer to balloon monsters from now on) at his side all the time now, LOL. By the way, when he bought that ball, I honestly thought he was going to offer Raphtalia a Balloon instead of getting her a proper ball…

Id like to first note that not all the purchases were known to be poor decisions. I said that in the op. Id also like to note that just because someone is newer to selling and doesnt have reviews doesnt mean they arent reputable- they just havent been given a chance. As a new seller myself, i have 0 reviews posted, and yet every animal i sold had a happy customer attached.

I initially apologized for "taking risks" in the first post and said "its not right" but im not sorry. Im not sorry for giving smaller hobbyists my money over bigger breeders. I know my limitations and where i can take risks. I will always support smaller and unknown hobbyists. Just because they arent known doesnt make them bad. It just happened that the little guys i chose to write about in this post were not good. The other 4 smaller hobbyists i bought from were a breeze.

Let me just break it down for you all.

Helios- was a rescue. He was going to be dumped in Sonora. It gets 115 degrees here during summer. Humidity regularly stays at 12%. At this point I already had 4 years of reptile care experience. His previous owners were not breeders nor did money exchange hands. I was therefore not perpetuating their poor behavior.

First fire pinstripe female- there were only 2 fire pinstripe females being sold in the entire country late 2014. Eos, the female i have now, and the fire pin that was initially shipped to me and died. The female who passed was a newer breeder. She died likely from overheating and poor heat pack placement. I let him know it was likely due to overheating and poor shipping practices, so hopefully he changed for his future customers. He refunded me completely then blocked me. I never purchased from him therefore i did not perpetuate his poor behavior.

Eos- fire pinstripe #2. Greg Hall was one of the leading facebook breeders. Reputable, lovely animals. Known for being a voice in the hobby. Eos arrived and she was flawless. Well started, healthy, no issues. Then i got to know the guy over the period of the next few years. He's one of the least ethical people ive had dealings with. I definitely never had another thought to buy from him. What a POS.

Rhea- the only disco fire available in the nation at that time. 2 reviews on the breeder that were basically "animal arrived thanks" good enough for me. Rhea turned out to have mites, a respiratory infection, and was male when i purchased a female. I contacted the breeder about a year later to let him know it was male. He gave me the option to have a disco fire female sent for free while i also got to keep the male. Thank goodness because i did not want to send Rhea back.

Asteria- sent to replace Rhea for free. No money exchanged. Therefore not supporting him further.

Secunda was unexpected. Her breeder was a local breeder who was very well known. As it turns out, shes dwarfed. Couldnt find that out beforehand though and reviews left no indication of poor husbandry.

Tauriel- yes she came from a known flipper. Congrats because all ball python breeders are flippers to some extent. Many sell animals they dont reproduce themselves. His reviews were all top notch. Not a single bad one. I got her for a song and she looks like a dream. I would happily support this guys shop again.

Sparrow was the first intentional bad decsion purchase i made. And she wasnt a bad decision. Shes a really high quality black pastel hypo and i ensured that she was going to a home where someone has the means to care for a 45 g hatchling. I say this with pride because when i visited the expo the second day, almost all his animals had been sold. She ultimately would have been sold to an unsuspecting pet owner im sure. Shes freaking beautiful.

None of these people received my business again. But please tell me how im perpetuating their bad practices 🙄

I have a knack for risky purchases of snakes

First snake ever was a rescue who was going to be dumped in the desert.

First snake shipped to me was from a nobody woth no info- she died through shipping.

Second snake shipped- relatively well known breeder. Dumbass though. Repeatedly said ball pythons cannot get fat (false, impossible) and that he would never stop breeding spider ball pythons, even if we did find out it was damaging. Needless to say, wasnt gonna ourchase from him again. He left the hobby last year. Unfortunately i didnt know any of this until AFTER purchasing her.

Third purchase, Rhea. From another nobody. Came with mites and a respiratory infection. he was also missexed as female. His 2 reviews were positive lol

Fourth, Asteria. Replacement for Rhea (not purchased; she was free). Came with mites and a respiratory infection.

Secunda- poor eater and likely dwarfed. Rave reviews for this breedrr.
