So...in March, I translated this survey (no one seems to have used this translation, but this has been immensely useful for looking at what HypDream might've done, had it not ended up having EOS).

If you look at question 25, you'll see what you're pitching is there (all translations mine as of this document) - "an event where you pick the division you belong to and then compete for win/loss" - as well as some other stuff which might match what you were pitching in the tags.

hypdream’s likely kr’s last attempt at entering a new mobile game market but if they ever decide to stay bold, i think hypmic’s concept suits a pkmn go kinda game where you walk around your neck of the woods and defeat up npc rappers in your area, have in game events where one of the divisions is taking over your territory and you gotta defeat them (but since they’re invading, that means you yourself can’t use them in battle lol)

I know this is getting away from the point, but considering the wordplay in the event title and the fact there is a squid on the event logo, I wouldn't be surprised if Kuko and/or Jakurai punch a squid (or alternatively, defeat it with their mics)...

but harmonious cooperation about starts with kuukou calling jyushi and hitoya on over in a misguided attempt at helping them solve their issues. jyushi and hitoya shortly leave thereafter when shows he wasn’t really understanding them and the cause of their problems

the bat part of the event starts with kuukou calling jyushi and hitoya on over to work on his own issues, but they leave shortly after hearing why kuukou hates the ocean so if all these story beats line up like that, that means kuukou not being able to beat a shark is not the real issue here—

That reminded me: Back when the DH & BAT manga was serialising, I summarised the chapters for a certain Discord server and I recall making that exact mistake 😔.

this is very important bc kuukou and ichiro take down this team in dhbat chapter 12 in order to save unami, meaning kuukou’s bad karma had come from saving someone, and while kuukou doesn’t seem to remember it, it’s a brilliant showcase of the cycle kuukou was trying to run away from in that dt

As for Samatoki, he's usually in a morose mood - particularly that one episode in s2 with the cigarette withdrawal - but considering he's never won a DRB until now (by any canon), I can see why he'd be smiling so much. (Not to mention most of the other leaders usually have smiles on their faces for some reason or another, it's just Samatoki is usually pretty salty - and possibly Trying to be as "Manly" as Possible - in comparison to them.)

a few things i was pleasantly surprised by in the mtc victory route!!!!!

there was ofc a custom line for nemu going up against her brother. what surprised me tho was how nemu when confronting ichiro, wanted to show him her ideal world whereas with samatoki, she expressed her desire to beat him here

ichijiku and juto had a custom interaction!!!!! which is nice lol i honestly thought juto and ichijiku’s connection was a thing of the past never to be touched on again lmao

it’s a small detail i liked lol, but samatoki hardly smiles at all in this movie but he was practically smiling thru the entirety of claim victory lol

so at the end of every route, the victorious division’s leader will give a monologue about how they want change but they can’t make that change happen alone. after that they turn to the audience and call their fellow leaders to action!!! iirc????? they usually go by standard division order like jakurai goes ‘ichiro-kun!!!! samatoki-kun!!!!! ramuda-kun!!!!!’ sasara-kun!!!!! kuukou-kun!!!!!’

samatoki tho???? started off with sasara and boy was i shocked to hear it lmao!!!!!

[Note 1: I saw the movie in full when Abema ran their stream on the 22nd (in JST), but haven't seen the full movie version of Shinjiru Chikara or the BAT win yet because all the versions I've seen of the movie so far have BB wins for the 1st battle of the 1st stage, therefore I don't know if she shows up in those or any of the other endings that aren't the MTR ending.]

y’all gotta hit up hypster fc lol one of the most peak bat dts exists on that site. kuukou suddenly barges in on jyushi’s karaoke session and jyushi was confused as to how kuukou knew he’d been there. kuukou tells him he’s literally livestreaming his karaoke session lol and nevermind kuukou did something pretty creepy in tracking down jyushi via his media lol the important takeaway is kuukou watches jyushi’s livestreams 🥺🥺🥺🥺 also hitoya got sick in that track and his teenage nuisances band together to take care of him, starting by stealing his keys and taking over his home LOL

it’s very charming that jyushi’s fans know of kuukou and hitoya lol. like that time kuukou crashed one of jyushi’s lives to drag him away for training and they went ‘why is kuukou-kun here???’ (and you could see one of jyushi’s fangirls waving them goodbye LOL) and that time kuukou and hitoya wound up walking in on a jyushi stream, revealing that hitoya’s actually camera shy 🥺 he heard that jyushi’s viewership was at like 10k or something and got a bit spooked by it 🥺🥺🥺

harmonious cooperation and fool’s gold are mirror images of drama tracks wherein they are practically the same story beats and flow repurposed. it shows how much bat’s gotten closer, like when kuukou calls his team over for a team meeting, jyushi and hitoya are put out by it in harmonious cooperation but in fool’s gold, they’re much more comfortable with it. arb somehow managed to show them bonding in the exact same way except thru video games and this is me just glazing arb actually lmao i still can’t believe they showed bat’s growth as a team in cyclical writing by taking advantage of their own event cycles 😭😭😭😭

That's an ARB event name (I know because I've translated things for it). Although I'm not the anon and don't know what the message before this one was (since it seems there was a message before this one), the Japanese name is 夢野先生の取材体験～創作の旅路～.

To the anon, if you're reading this: If you're using the full event name, yes, the ARB event titles are usually that long. (HypDream ones don't usually have subtitles like ARB ones.)

btw the name of the soccer event i’m talking about is something along the lines of “experiencing interviews with professor yumeno: a journey of creation” idk if hypmic event names are usually this long, it’s just what it said on twt 😭

As a Jakurai fan, I actually wasn't that happy to see Jakurai in a conbini outfit at first, but thinking about it, Jakurai in green is a pretty uncommon sight (Jakurai usually wears white/black/grey, or blue if he's feeling particularly ambitious [1]).

Cursory research says there are school loans for Japanese college students, though I feel like this is a case of "Jakurai managed to avoid doing cliche Broke College Student jobs" instead (I can see him being, say, an admin assistant, prior to being drafted as a medic - he has the temperament for it). There is a possibility 1) due to the war, student loans could have been waived/heavily reduced for participants and/or 2) Jakurai's family was rich and/or connected enough to help him with any loans [2].

[Note 1: I've noticed men's clothes are usually not as bright as women's - even when they're the same colour, they're not always the same shade. Even accounting for that, Jakurai doesn't wear as many colours as other HypMic characters (<- Ramuda is a bad comparison, but even, say, Dice wears more colours than Jakurai does... *sweatdrops*). Related sidenote, but off the top of my head, Jakurai has only worn red as a Santa chibi and pink on a fishing vest Ramuda designed for him in an ARB event.]

[Note 2: For one thing, having a large house like Jakurai does - especially in Japan, where living space is at a premium - suggests Jaku does come from a fairly high-class upbringing. The fact we don't seem to see any signs of Jaku struggling with a mortgage or otherwise struggling with money (unlike Hitoya's money-grubbing mentality, which suggests he grew up comparatively less well-off than his peers and/or otherwise struggled pretty heavily - from a financial standpoint - with his degree change) adds to this.]
