was watching a video about dick where the guy said dick is "always mature, always responsible, always humble... but also, lying is in his nature. He has an intrinsic calculated coldness that he can't help." i just think that's interesting. especially the use of the word "intrinsic," given that he was kinda raised by batman, the most calculating and manipulative motherfucker to ever live. kinda like a chicken or the egg thing - how much cold calculation was there before bruce brought it out even more?

Ok so I haven’t seen anyone talk about this yet,but here’s the poster for the Ijigen (?) fes! Honestly,the more that comes out about this event the more curious I get about it - like they’ve made it abundantly clear that this isn’t a live…but what it is it then?? Is it like the Hakodate Unit Carnival but with more baseball related activities??? Or are they ACTUALLY going to be playing baseball? We don’t know,but either way I’m pretty excited about it :] it’s been a while since we’ve had a subunit specific event like this,so this will definitely be fun to watch!

personally, i think the diamonds plot line in gta 4 + the episodes from liberty city is one of the most if not the most interesting and captivating story than any other plot line in the whole franchise (i'm right)

thought again how overwhelmingly lonely akira would become after everything while time does its healing. u go from having a twenty-something ppl around u at all times to being alone. no one to knock on ur door in the morning, no ppl going in & out, no chaos of sudden fights. even in the (more likely) case where akira forgets its like. this haunting feeling of having forgotten something u shouldnt have. guy who goes to every social gathering ever to have that chaotic energetic experience of having so many ppl around again

Okay so basically the United States MINT of all people is going to be working with DC to make a line of coins! These coins sadly won't be in circulation (the things I would do to live in a world where I could get Batman coins from the supermarket) as they're collectors coins, but will be releasing over the course of the next 3 years, 2025-2027.
Designs haven't been released yet (the same is true for all 2025 designs) but we know there will be 9 coins in total (3 each year) with the first year featuring (of course!!!) Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Although we know the first three heroes to be featured, the remaining six have yet to be decided, and it turns out the Mint is putting out a survey on their site to gauge which of a group of culturally significant heroes people want to see most! (link to the form is mentioned in the article above)
The considered group includes: Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, John Stewart GL, Aquaman, Hawkman, Jamie Reyes BB, Robin (Damian?), Cyborg, and Batgirl, of which 6 will be selected.
As someone who does a bit of coin collecting myself (mainly circulation coins like the quarters sets, but I also have a couple proof and collectors coins) I think this is a really cool and interesting idea that showcases the history of the comics medium and these characters and their influence on American culture. Really excited to wait and see what the designs look like for the coins already announced!

Issue 69 (nice) is very good and very fun :]
#ramblings#idw sonic spoilers#i knew the phantom rider was gonna be sonic#didn't expect sonic tails and amy to be disqualified first tho#but it makes things more interesting#having to work with eggman to get sonic back in the race in some way#and figure out what's going on behind the scenes#i like it! i like how they're handling this sort of non-mystery#where the readers know what's going on but the characters don't#so we get a cool spectacle out of them figuring it out while racing and stuff#also ppl are already arguing abt lanolin being kind of a bitch#as if that wasn't an already established character flaw lmao#i think her not caring so much abt the ppl around her (or at least not showing it) makes her more interesting to read abt#and i like the drama#now this isn't related to the issue itself but now i kinda don't know how i'm gonna tackle this arc in my rp blog#i think i'm gonna wait until all the issues are out so there's not a month's wait for events that happen in the span of a few days#but like. idk if i wanna have livewire actually participating or just watching#also i can feel myself losing steam running the blog again#like it's stopped getting any attention and the same thing that happened before is happening again#so like. idk if i should keep going with it at all?#idk idk anyways that's not relevant to the issue. it was good i liked it and can't wait to see where the arc goes 👍

Talking about later WC events with my best friend (who's only recently reading the books after mostly watching the fan animations) is so fucking funny. Last night we were kinda bouncing from topic to topic before he brought up Moth Flight and how he really hated her from my account of her story (I also hate her lol) and as a bit he was like "I know Warriors isn't THAT magical and this would be a bit much, but I wish the cats could time travel. That way they could go back in time and reverse card Moth Flight and throw her in the Dark Forest so they'll get rid of her horrible rule and keep cats like Leafpool from suffering ever again". And then he saw my face and he was like "wait are you serious"

birthdays haven’t been too bad the last few years but with picking my dad up from rehab last year i’ve been getting antsy about it again and my work is gonna leave balloons and a note on my desk and i do work that day and i thought i had the saving grace of my brother doing a thing with me the DAY after but due to work things were now doin it on the day and it’s just looming closer and closer 😰
#personal#you have like 5 bad birthdays in a row and suddenly have an actual fear of ur bday#again it didn’t happen for a few years so i was fine but dad thing now is scared again 🙄#anyway i would have said no to the work thing but i wanted to be normal and encourage good will between my coworkers#i mean on my 45 day review perfect notes but my supervisor had to specify leadership when talking about communication bc i DONT be#talking to my coworkers#which totally fine doesn’t effect my work at all but.#idk i didn’t want to be like no when i already don’t talk to people#but did start a convo today!!!#i’m not bad at talking with people or even strangers i’m not even super shy i’m just bad at being a person#anyway so said yes even tho it does make me antsy thinking about#and i hate working on my birthday bc it feels like.#any event on my bday freaks me out or at least used to and does again#like ideal birthday stay home in bed and survive just don’t want to encourage chance or take any risks#i just want to stay still until it’s over and everyone’s okay#but now i’m working and people are gonna say happy birthday and there will be balloons and a note#and my brothers taking me out which yay love him love solo time gonna ask for sushi#but i’m also scared like what if something happens to him?#but it’s silly to live in fear and he’s only here for like a day#and even if my dad came home i also got my first birthday surprise with my friends lying#and saying they needed art supplies and gave me a cake and hannibal stuff and it was so sweet i cried :)))

day 2 of what i call the redneck convention aka a family function
#it just so happens there's two events that call for a cookout--we never hang out two days in a row--usually i get a break of a few months--#so idk if i can handle it#not to mention my sister has work & my fave cousin brings her bf all the time & is busy talking with him#so it's just gonna be me & all these other family members i don't like ://#& okay let me say a thing#yesterday i was having a conversation with my sister--clearly a private conversation#& my weird aunt just literally barged in between us like 'what what are you guys up to huh what what'#& i just like nervously laughed & was like 'yeah we're just talking'#& then she just starts standing right next to me--like glued at the hip and literally says 'what if i just wanna stand right here--#next to you and just follow you around?'#& i just kinda nervously laughed & tried to shuffle away but she literally started following me around like that#& i know it's ridiculous but i could feel my fight or flight kick in because she was in my personal space & not listening to me#but all i did was kinda laugh again & say 'no thanks i gotta go wash my hands so i can eat--the food's almost ready'#& i had to say that like twice & then she actually got pissed & huffed before storming off#& then later in front of everyone she told my mom something like 'you need to correct your daughter's behavior she's very rude'#as if my mom could do anything#(like don't get me wrong my mom could say 'behave a certain way or we'll kick you out because you're an adult' but she's not gonna do that)#& my mom & dad were both just like '???' when i explained it because i didn't do anything rude--#like genuinely how The Fuck am i supposed to respond with some aunt getting into my space & refusing to leave even when i'm uncomfortable#my parents told me not to worry about it because she's just weird all the time (which i know) but because she's got nothing else going on--#in her life she'll probably still try to make drama out of that little interaction today#idk i might just gaslight her by pretending i don't remember what happened. gatekeep girlboss etc#& don't get me wrong i have complete sympathy for people who aren't good with social cues--i'm one of the most awkward people at these--#functions. but personal space is where i draw the line because you can't just get into someone's space & insist on being there even when--#they're clearly uncomfortable#sigh anyways these tags are so long. wish me luck ://#rose.txt
