Can we all just take a moment to think of what it must of meant to alternate universe Marinette to read her diary and her life, except it’s different.
Her life, except she has friends she spends time with and has fun with. Her life, except she has parents who love her and support her. Her life, except she has a partner who is always there for her. Her life, except she has a support system, she has people, she has love and strength from others to support her.
Her life, except it’s not.
And no amount of wishing, or magic, or power with make it hers.
#that diary scene is so heart breaking to watch#I am not over the angst#also the conversation that she has with og Marinette#is so important to her change and her development towards the future#the goodness and love she thought was just given for free to og Marinette#was actually something she struggled with and worked towards#alternate Marinette was able to see there was light at the end of the tunnel#and it was her own decisions that would bring her the life she wanted so badly#and it wouldn’t be easy and it wouldn’t take magic#but she saw worth in the struggle#and that was so amazing#and so beautiful to see#I don’t know how ppl say that ml has bad writers#after this masterpiece of an episode came out#marinette dupain cheng#emonette#alternate universe Marinette#miraculous ladybug#miraculous#mlb#ml#ml spoilers#ml paris special

The problem with this show are not the characters or how the episodes are made, but the writers that decided to develop a literal masterpiece into a circus.
The campaign for season two literally started with making the audience choose between team black and team green:we had two trailers, two official posters and even the actors were “divided” to promote their teams.
So they basically told us to pick a side since the beginning.
Then they procede to turn team black in the saint team:making them the victims of the patriarchy, the heroes of the story. They showed us team black as if they are more Targaryen then the other team only because they know a prophecy and use this fact to excuse them from anything they do.
They made team black loved and worshiped by the small folks after Rhaenys killed hundreds of them during her dumb and useless girl boss scene and after Rhaenyra starved them. When in the book the small folks hates Rhaenyra and her incompetence, they will literally kick her out of the city and she has to run away or they will kill her just like they did with the dragons. The small folks instead loved team green, they loved Helaena as their queen and blamed and hated Rhaenyra for her death.
They forced use to like Rhaenyra just because she is one of the main characters, pushing on her the role of strong female character that is fighting a male society and then again just because she is a woman she is excused for everything that she does.We had to sit and watch two scenes of her giving birth and two of her weddings because we needed to empathize with her.We need to see her on her dragon constantly so that we can see Daenerys resemblance. They had to make her a saint,of course she wouldn’t want to kill a child she is too good, she would never hurt Helaena, everyone is loyal to her and she can do no wrong. They even took down Nettles to not show us Rhaenyra racism and the way she wanted to have a little girl killed because her pedo uncle-husband was rumored to be her lover.
On the other side we have team green that was completely dehumanized, stripped down of every good aspects they had in the book, changing and canceling everything.
We had never saw Alicent give birth to children that came to her out of marital rapes,we also did not see her getting married as a child bride to a man that will abuse her.Apparently the love of her life is Rhaenyra instead that her own children, she betrays them and her own side of the family in favor of her ex best friend that didn’t do anything to help her in the past and instead laughed in her face about her trauma. They keep telling that Alicent has never sacrificed anything when she has sacrificed her all life for duty and family unlike Rhaenyra.
Healena is totally marginal as the “weird bug girl” that just rants things out.She was a dragon rider that enjoyed being with her dragon Dreamfyre, yet in the show apparently she doesn’t like that.Even her dragon legacy was taken by team black, because now Dany dragon eggs comes from Syrax. In Viserys last days Helaena used to visit her father with her children but again this was taken from her and put on Rhaenyra instead. She was also stripped down of her coronation,of the way she was loved as a queen and how Aegon made sure that she was remembered as the true queen during the dance. They took from her the grief and mourning of her son one of the things that will literally drove her to death, because only Rhaenyra can cry her son and no one else.
Aegon was transformed into a rapist, because you can’t like him,you can only like Rhaenyra. There was no scene of him and Sunfyre beside the battle of Rook’s Rest, they have the strongest bond between a dragon and a dragon rider,he loved Sunfyre to the point he changed the family sigil to a golden dragon. They took down his will to fight, his family support and loyalty to him,his rage as a father that had lost his son. They took two of his sons, because Maelor do not exist and now he can’t have any more children because in the show he had lost his penis. They made him useless and pushed him on the sidelines in his own story.
I still don’t understand why they had to make Aemond betray his brother when in the book he was loyal to him, also in the book there was no indication of Aegon bullying him so again i don’t understand why choose this path.Daemon had a “redemption arc” after his betrayal one but of course Aemond can’t,only team black can.
Criston Cole is portrayed as an angry incel that still hates one woman that coerced him into having sex with her after he told her no multiple times. So much wasted potential in this character, when in the book he was one of the masterminds of team green, convinced Aegon to take the crown, took care of Sunfyre and served his king just right.
Daeron…sorry who? What do you mean that there is a third brother?I just know that his character will be completely destroyed,he probably will be a bastard with dark hair and we already won’t have the Maelor storyline for him,we definitely won’t see him making Ser Hugh and Ulf change sides or any of his victories with Tessarion. He will probably be marginalized like he already is,because again you can only like team black and only them can have the best.
How can you “pick a side” like they desperately want you to do,when they do shit like this?Literally forcing you to like team black because they are paint as the saints/good guys and assassinated every good thing about team green?
Keep telling me that this show is not team black propaganda and that’s is fair like this.

Let’s just be honest—The Umbrella Academy was essentially cancelled after Season 3, but given the massive fandom, Netflix gave them the chance to wrap up the story with a final season. It’s similar to what happened with Shadowhunters—it was cancelled, but after the outcry from fans, they were given two more episodes to tie things up.
For me, the first two seasons were masterpieces. They truly became my comfort show and introduced me to my comfort characters. This might sound cheesy, but it’s true—when the first season aired, I was going through a rough time in my life, and I held on to this show like my life depended on it. Season 2 arrived amidst the pandemic, and it was a light in the darkness for me as well. Even with the massive success of Season 2, I think Netflix hesitated to greenlight another season. I remember waiting for an announcement, and it felt like it took forever.
Season 3 was filmed during the pandemic, and if I recall correctly, Netflix cut the budget for visual effects. So, the season didn’t quite live up to the expectations set by Season 2. Regardless of its flaws, I enjoyed it, but I would have enjoyed it more if the writing hadn’t been so sloppy and, at times, cheesy.
But this last season? It feels like fanservice—and not even good fanservice. For example, the Lila and Five thing? The enhanced powers? The Jennifer Incident? All of it fell flat. Klaus’s storyline this season was basically what I wanted to see in Season 3, but it was delivered too late and added nothing meaningful to the plot.
But was the main plot really supposed to be about Jennifer? Who cares about introducing a new character in the final season instead of focusing on saying goodbye to the beloved main characters?
The subplots were boring. Klaus’s storyline was fanservice, but it felt like they just threw us a bone to appease years of fans asking for Klaus to get his comic powers. And it was insulting. Ben and Jennifer in love? Unrealistic and boring. The train station? Who came up with that cheap idea? I thought it would be a place built by Reggie, but there was no explanation at all.
The apocalypse no longer feels exciting or even important. There’s no sense of urgency anymore.
The family dynamics—the strongest part of this show—felt odd and weak. Pairing Viktor with Reginald was boring. Lila and Diego’s drama? Nonsense. And what was the point of Claire? I thought she would be the main conflict of the season, with everyone banding together to save a character we’ve known since Season 1, who has emotional ties to every Umbrella.
And where were the villains? To make it as interesting as Seasons 1 and 2, you need a great antagonist. Like Hazel and Cha-Cha, The Handler, Reginald, or even an antihero like the Sparrows, Harlan, or the Commission. Why not make Abigail the greatest threat? Or bring back some of the former villains?
What about resolving old family drama, so that if the show’s end was going to be the family sacrificing themselves, they could all go in peace?
Instead, they didn’t address Allison’s betrayal at all. They created a huge rift between Five and Diego. Nothing for Klaus and Ben. No Umbrella Ben. No Sloane. Why is Lila even here anymore? Why didn’t she just ditch out like Ray and leave Diego with the kids to be a single dad? That would’ve made more sense coming from Lila than from Ray, to be honest.
For me, the writers, producers, and directors knew this show was cancelled, so they didn’t even try anymore. For me, the ending of season 3 was meant to be the ending of the show.
I watched Game of Thrones after it ended, so I didn’t experience the same level of rage, disappointment, and betrayal that fans felt. But now, I do.

Heyy, I have just seen you are accepting request! I haven’t seen too many people writing about mike and when I saw you I was definitely delighted with all your masterpieces!
maybe (if u don’t feel uncomfortable writing about it) can you do a scenario/headcanon of mike comforting an angst and period pain reader?
Sorry for requesting this but I really feel like needing a soft and comprehensive mike rn 😿💞
anyways, if you aren’t really into it It will be fine as well!<3
have a nice day ;)
Aww it's fine bae i seriously love you all, who told you that i have praising kink😩
Mike knows you period schedule. So you don't have to wake up feeling uncomfortable with blood on that sheet.
While you change your sanitary napkin, he insisted that you should let him make breakfast. It's too early so he had time making other dishes so you can choose on what you eat, cause he knows that when you're on period sometimes you're a picky eater.
And mike knows that when you are on a period, you will have this kind of episode. Mike swears that he is lucky that he bought groceries yesterday, he gets to buy your favorite ice cream on time.
Luckily abby didn't have school today so you have a accompany. So before dinner you and abby decided to watch her favorite cartoon movie that she really adored, she even draw the main character on her drawings.
Seeing the finale of the movie made you tear up, even abby is crying on how much she adores the movie. Mike came on a right time.
"Baby what happened?.." He asked while rubbing both of you and abby's back, "It's just the crocodile is so cute.." Mike was left dumbfounded on your answer but still decided to comfort both of you.
You both stopped crying upon seeing mike bought your favorite food.
After dinner mike took a bath because it's been a whole fat hour since he started talking about how greasy his hair feels. After getting out of the bathroom, he saw you sniff a cry while holding your stomach in pain.
He rushed to see what is happening and he already knew, mike always have a heater by his night table and he put the heater on your stomach while holding you on a hug and comforting you tears away.
After the pain go away he came running to get you water since it's what all you need, you don't need to say a single word cause he can read you like a book.
He cuddle you to his bed after you drink a water while whispering how much he loves you, it didn't take a long time for both of you to fell asleep.
Nothing hurts him other than seeing you in pain, as much as possible he is trying to learn everything about you and how you feel.

Ep 8 Thoughts and Details Part 2
Some thoughts and details I had while watching ep8, and some parallels I found. And yes, I had to split this into 2 parts because Tumblr said "fack you, you can only upload 30 images :P"
Spoilers, duh
Didn't see part 1? Here it is, cause Tumblr doesn't like more than 30 images per post TwT
OMG YOU SILLY GOOBERS, AND THE WAY UZI INCLUDED V DESPITE V NOT EVEN WANTING TO BE PART OF IT TwT
As much as this entire scene was tense about Uzi eating the AS and becoming fused with it- this frame, this facking frame killed me XD Just the D: WHAT ARE YOU DOING- WHY DID YOU DO THAT- I could hear it clearly XD
Could probably be me looking too far into it, but another call back from Liam's first teaser of Murder Drones.
As many people as I have seen being upset with how this reunion turned out to be, I found it adorable and funny. Khan has no idea what that thing even is. And the fact that Nori isn't as cool and serious as she was made out to be in all of the flashback scenes and ep7 is that much more endearing. The angsty side of her is still there, much like Uzi's personality of not really liking close heart to heart moments.
KHAN IS NARUTO RUNNING???? XD
Originally pointed out by @/observer on twitter and absolute scoliosis lives on XD As well as the T-rex stance <:3
God forbid I love this trio. They've been through so much and still came out victorious after fighting a whole ass eldritch being capable of eating planets. V still V but softer and kinder, N still N but more willing to stand up for himself, and Uzi still Uzi and angsty rebellious teen that has an awesome new eye style and friends and family.
"Forget about all of this instantly, get tunnel visioned on spooky corpse robot reveal. Work backwards from there."
You know, I had a silly thought. I wouldn't even be mad that this is how Murder Drones came to be. That Liam's idea of Murder Drones started with the reveal of Cynessa entity and then worked backwards from there- creating the characters to surround the event instead of starting with say Uzi's personality, etc.
VIZZY MY BELOVED WHAT-
You know what... you know WHAT I SAW THIS SOMEWHERE-
Proceeds to connect the dots that aren't even there (Murder Drones Intermission by @/ghoulinfuschia)
But hey, that's what my brain loves to do. But funny how it turned out to be somewhat similar XD Perhaps the context was different but the fact that my brain said "hm, yes, you connect this here and that there." and I just rolled with it TwT
Overall, I genuinely loved the entire episode and, of course, the series. I'm eternally grateful for Liam creating this masterpiece and for every person that took part in creating Murder Drones. This show was the hyperfixation I needed, the thing that I've craved since being in the fandom that I had been for the longest time prior. I'm sad to see this show end so soon, but all great things must come to an end. And I'm glad I was here to see it, even if I was here since ep6 only TwT Either way, I will be haunting this fandom with my presence for a little longer while. Many projects I want to see happen, comics I wish to share, and friends I wish to meet. Until then, see you later >:P
Have a cookie for making it this far XD 🍪

sometimes i wonder about what fandom is going to look like in 5 or 10 years. i think we might have already started to see a shift.
because, look, most of the oldest, biggest fandoms are from tv shows and movies, in particular ones that go on for years and scores of episodes. star trek, star wars, stargate (is everything star?), doctor who, supernatural…even sherlock really got its biggest popularity boosts in the modern day from tv adaptations. marvel and dc were comics first, too, but movies made them more accessible; their “cinematic universe” tags are the biggest on ao3 by far.
but what tv shows are we getting now? short, 8-episode things that get canceled two or three seasons in, that are usually less-than-faithful adaptations of other media anyway.
what movies are we getting? well, marvel turns more to slop every day, and everything else is remakes and sequels no one asked for. the general populace will still go see them and find some good movies that they like, but there’s not much really for fandom to grasp onto.
the best shows for fandom that we’ve had recently, that i can think of, are stranger things, game of thrones, and maybe our flag means death. stranger things is dying off, especially since they’re looking at a 3-4 YEAR gap between s4 and s5. game of thrones’s popularity plummeted after its final season, we all know that. our flag means death is still chugging fairly okay, but after that second season a lot of the fandom dropped it, and with it now being cancelled, i don’t see it sticking around.
yes, we can chalk part of this up to a new generation to of fans having this growing idea that fandom is super temporary, to be abandoned as soon as its not on trend. but media used to be on trend for a whole lot longer than it is now. seasons were longer, we had filler episodes, things were lower quality sometimes but at least they came out on a consistent schedule. i don’t mind if supernatural isn’t an artistic masterpiece, but if i was a stranger things fan waiting until 2026 for the final season, i would be annoyed if it wasn’t damn near perfect. that’s assuming i watched it at all—we’re all so used to not getting endings and moving on, so why would i bother?
i think there are two types of shows doing sort of okay about this. one is procedurals—9-1-1 is a popular one i’ve run into, and it started in 2018, around the beginning of the decline, but it’s managed 7 seasons in those six years, most of them with 18 episodes. the other is, honestly, anime—though we can and SHOULD talk about the terrible working conditions that make the fast turnarounds there possible. look at how big some anime fandoms are.
judging by the relative fandom popularity of other procedural dramas (grey’s anatomy, law & order, criminal minds), i think that’s going to remain sort of niche. fandom likes fantasy and scifi best, and they just don’t tend to have as strong of an overarching arc to dig into. at least, that’s why i wouldn’t watch them. i think there’s also a good chance these will start to die out in the coming years as well.
anime could also die out a little bit. better working conditions would necessitate less/slower content, and it’s true that most of the popular anime fandoms have been around for years, even decades.
so, what, no new, lasting tv show or movie fandoms anymore?
what will the biggest fandoms be in 5-10 years?
podcast fandoms have a shot. the magnus archives is still going strong, and i’ve been seeing a lot about dungeons and daddies. i think we’re kind of almost past the golden age for podcasts, but i am an outsider, so maybe that will change.
book fandoms seem like a kind of obvious choice, but they just don’t get as big without, you guessed it, a movie or show adaptation. and the downsizing has hit them, too—can you think of anything from the last 5 or 10 years that rivals harry potter, percy jackson, warriors, lord of the rings, hunger games, acotar…even game of thrones (asoiaf) again? i can’t. the collapse of the publishing industry is another post entirely.
2020 is really what cemented these changes, though they were starting in the late 2010s, at least. with actual industries shutting down, there was room for indie creators making things alone in their houses to pop up, and people had more time on their hands to try new things out and get into them.
the two things that have really been on the rise since 2020 is rpf and video game fic—often both combined. we’ve got genshin impact, call of duty, minecraft of course being huge, rpf of various youtubers, and k-pop rpf. now, i think rpf is contentious enough that it won’t really become the main fandom, but video game fic…might be it.
even video blogging rpf can often be a blurred enough line that people are more comfortable with it. and the thing is…youtube creators are actually more reliable than mainstream television these days. they need to be, to maintain their platforms. they need to not cancel series and to live up to their own hype as best they can and to not abandon the channel for 3 or 4 years at a time. and again, you can talk about burnout and unrealistic expectations and all of those things, but it’s still true.
maybe i’m completely wrong. maybe in 10 years the film and publishing industries will all sort themselves out and we’ll go back to the status quo. but i think this position fandom is finding itself in is interesting, and i wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if what’s most popular (both in the specific source material sense and the medium/genre sense) is different some time down the road.
#wren wrambles#fanfiction#ao3#fandom#fandom meta#fanfic#fanfiction meta#i’m curious what other people think about this#tempted to tag the fandoms i mentioned for reach but. dont know. we’ll see how this does

Indian BL? FROM 2017????
There's an Indian BL from 2017 that I just watched. And I have incoherent thoughts
Before I continue, massive thanks to my bestie @anixknowsnothin for telling me about this show and proofreading the post for me. You don't even watch bl so I have no idea how you found this, but I'm incredibly grateful nonetheless
Here's the link to where I watched the show from, there's a glitch in the first episode subs where the subs seem to be from another show entirely, but it's only for the first ep and about 50% of the dialogue is in English anyways, so it shouldn't be hard to follow.(My ask box is also always open if there's a specific dialogue/scene in Hindi that you want the translation of)
Edit: The link seems to be region locked, so to watch it you can use a vpn and set your region to India, otherwise the episodes are available on youtube, albeit without subs
Note:- this post is going to have a few mild spoilers throughout, but I'll flag major spoilers in red
It's no secret that India is fairly behind when it comes to queer love shows if we compare it to other Asian countries. While it has a handful of great queer shows and movies, it's still quite a small quantity. Additionally, before this, I'd never watched an Indian show that felt like I was watching a bl (if you have recs, please send them my way!!). I'm not going to get into the technicalities of what feels like a bl and doesn't, because honestly, I'm not completely sure myself. For now, I'm just going based off of vibes and feelings, and this show felt like a bl through and through.
Titled 'Romil and Jugal' after its main characters, the story is a modern, desi, bl remake of the classic story...
Romeo and Juliet
Well, Bad Buddy was the first Thai bl I ever watched, so Romil and Jugal being the first Indian BL I watched just feels right, no?
I didn't actually know that the story was based off of Romeo and Juliet till the second episode, because I didn't bother looking for a synopsis, and jumped right in. However, it's links to Romeo and Juliet quickly became apparent, around the same time I started to see similarities between this show and Bad Buddy. I also did not know that this show came out in 2017 before I googled it, having already watched the entire thing, which was a pretty huge shock, because this BL is progressive by 2024 India standards.
Alright, enough of my rambling. Here's a synopsis of the show in case you haven't heard of it. (I couldn't find an official one, so I did my best to write a spoiler free synopsis)
Ramya happens to start talking to a slightly older woman at an airport, who believes that there is no romance in the younger generation. To prove her wrong, Ramya decides to tell the older woman her brother's love story. The story from the past is shown to us as Ramya narrates it to the woman in the present. Jugal is a closeted 19-year-old who lives with his parents. One day, a family moves into the house next door, and Jugal immediately falls for the son, Romil. The two of them attend the same college, and eventually become friends. The two of them eventually get together, but have to face the challenges of a homophobic society and having parents that hate each other.
I was a little skeptical of the show going in, but the show surpassed all of my expectations in the best way possible. It's no masterpiece, and it has its flaws, but it was far better than what I expected. It had both comical elements and darker themes, and it did not shy away from exploring the darker themes at all. Oh, and it has a few musical numbers. What did you expect? This is India after all.
The show is 10 episodes long, with 20 minutes per episode, and so it does unfortunately fall into some of the pitfalls that shorter shows tend to fall into, namely underdeveloped relationships and rushed endings. I did end up feeling a little bit like it didn't make sense for the pair to sacrifice and suffer as much as they did because they hadn't known each other for very long, and I felt like they should have been given more time to fall in love with each other. But it also could be argued that the show stays true to the play, and Romil and Jugal are dumb teenagers who make mistakes and stick with each other through them. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it.
One thing that I loved the show for was that it showed us that the relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows. They argue, they break up, they get back together, and they do argue even after that. But every time, they eventually work through the issue and reconcile. The show even depicts Romil dealing with internalized homophobia and struggling to reconcile with the fact that he will never be who his family wants him to be. Although I do wish they'd have had more time to explore this, I'd say it was decently depicted and handled. The show really delves into how children are forced to uphold their family's wishes and are constantly put under pressure to make them proud. Although it clearly affects both of them, it's more obvious with Romil, who is expected by his family to date and marry the daughter of his father's boss, whom they think he is dating. There's a metaphor along this theme too, where Romil pretends to like the mango shake that his mom has been making for him since he was a kid, even though he hates it, and when he tries to tell her, he has to act like it was a joke to spare her feelings. The show also goes into the communal mindset of basing your actions off "what will people think?", and you can see how a lot of the characters' actions throughout the show are haunted by this question. Some of Romil and Jugal's earlier disagreements are due to this very mindset.
The show also very candidly depicts the extreme homophobia of society in India. Romil and Jugal had to constantly hide who they were, always having to keep up a mask and I felt that reach somewhere deep inside me. When the pair come out, the show really shows how ugly homophobia can be in India. Their parents immediately disown them. They're mocked in college and wrongfully suspended for a fight that was provoked by other students. Very, very few people stand with them, and the pair very quickly realize that now that they are out, they simply cannot live in the city anymore. So with the help of Jugal's best friend and her mother, they flee to Mumbai, where they get jobs and live as paying guests with a friend of the aforementioned mother. But, even in Mumbai, the masks stay up. They have to act like cousins, for fear of being persecuted. The series depicted the worst-case scenario that so many of us live in fear of, so watching it was something of a cathartic experience for me.
Another thing that the show did quite well is showing how different people and their mindsets can be. Jugal's best friend, Ahalya, and her mom are very supportive, and they help the pair out quite a bit. Ahalya's mother provided a safe house for the pair and helped them find a fresh start. Meanwhile, Romil and Jugal's parents are incredibly homophobic. There was a scene that really stuck with me, (mild spoiler ahead, skip to the last sentence of the paragraph) where Ahalya's mother came across Jugal's mother, who prided herself on being educated and well-read, searching up how to cure homosexuality. Ahalya's mother then tells her off for calling herself educated yet believing that homosexuality is an illness. It is so important to me that the show depicted both the violent homophobia that permeates Indian society and the surprising, warm acceptance that one can find.
One final thing that I loved about this show so, so much is just how authentically Indian it feels. Asian cultures share a lot in common, but they also have their differences, so seeing a show where I can imagine encountering the characters in real life is really amazing. Rather than something big, it was little things sprinkled throughout the story that warmed my heart. The story felt like something I could hear the local aunties gossiping about. The way it depicts queerness in India hits incredibly close to home.
One thing I've learned watching Asian bls is that the ending of a show can make it or break it, but with this one, I'm stuck. The best way I can describe the ending is absolutely insane and incredibly Bollywood.
I believe this show was supposed to get a second season because the last two minutes of the show leave us with a massive cliffhanger. Now, it's been 7 years, so a second season is unlikely, so I'm simply pretending that the last two minutes of the show never happened. But the ending has so much more to it than just this (Major spoilers for the ending up ahead. I mean it when I say major, this is like going into Bad Buddy knowing that they're going to trick their parents in the end).
About halfway through the show, I remembered what play it was based upon and realized that there was a very real possibility that Romil and Jugal would die. The first half of the last episode leads up to this, telling us that they died when reconciling after an argument in the middle of the road when they were hit by a truck. We get a super emotional scene (yes, I cried) where the two families somewhat reconcile in their grief as they go to the police station to identify the bodies. Except... they're not dead, which is revealed when Romil's father hugs Romil's (not) dead body. They reveal that they planned this to show their family that they still loved their sons. I did say it was like PatPran tricking their parents in the end, didn't I? So the families reunite, Romil and Jugal get jobs in New Zealand and get married, and return to India for a wedding celebration (yes, I cried. again). The ending does feel slightly rushed, but if I'm being honest, it wasn't as terrible as it could have been. Believing that your child is dead for a bit is a somewhat justifiable reason for a sudden change of heart. There's a part where Romil and Jugal tell their parents that if they choose acceptance, they can reconcile, but if they choose to remain prejudiced, Romil and Jugal can simply get back on the stretchers, because they'll be as good as dead to their families anyways and it is *chef's kiss*.
All in all, the show was surprisingly heartfelt and poignant. It had me laughing, kicking my feet and even crying. There's a lot more about this show that I could talk about, but I'm going to stop here for now, and I'll try to write more on it later. This show really does deserve more recognition than it has, and I'm almost mad at myself for not knowing about it before. Am I being really biased when talking about this show? Absolutely. But I do think that this show is a worthwhile watch, and I'd really like to see what other people on here think of the show, especially because I'm aware that I am biased towards this show.
I'm tagging a few people who I know might be interested/have some thoughts about the show because this is a show that I really want to hear other people's opinions on and have conversations about, so I hope you guys don't mind!

So...I watched The Rings of Power. I probably haven't written much about it, but I adore Tolkien and his books. They are literally the foundation of my personality and are infinitely important to me. Two years ago, when the first season came out, I watched one episode and I didn't like it at all, so I quit. But now, after the second season of House of the Dragon, I decided to go back and try to watch The Rings of Power again. And you know what? This show is okay. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not the worst thing ever filmed. And it's definitely better than HOTD. Like, I mean, a bright picture? Night scenes where the viewer can see everything? Spacious, full of air and light locations instead of small dark rooms? The characters remember what they said in the previous episode? They have, you know, a motivation? Costumers know about the existence of jewelry, for God's sake? Yes, the bar is that low. Some plotlines, like Elrond and Durin's friendship, actually touched me and like…There is no reason why the ratings of The Rings of Power are lower, objectively speaking. I said what I said.

can you do prebed routine with ateez members what would going to bed be like with each of them and whats something special that you would do or share with the member before sleep? thank you very much in advance, love your reactions!
Night-time Routine with ATEEZ
Omg this is so cute!!! Thank you for being so sweet with all your support and I'll try my best to write something for this <3
Genre: fluffy
Warnings/triggers: n/a
Gender: any
Hongjoong
The second Hongjoong enters the door, he wants to do something that will help him relax and wind down after his long and tiring day. Once he gets home, he sees you on the couch covered in a soft blanket, reading a book. He makes his way over to you and sinks into the couch next to you.
"Rough day?" You asked him.
"Yeah... but now... Netflix?" He picks up the remote before you can respond and makes you share his blanket with him. Hongjoong puts on the show you both have been watching recently as he knows it's something you both enjoy. You snuggle into Hongjoong's chest, and he holds you close, causing you to fall asleep on him. Once the episode finishes, he carries you to bed, trying not to wake you up in the process. This was how most of your nights went, but neither of you minded as you got to spend time with each other without forcing energy.
Seonghwa
Seonghwa was building one of his Lego masterpieces whilst you were sat across the room doing your skincare routine, getting ready for bed. He stopped playing with his Lego and watches you concentrate as you spread moisturiser on you face. He makes his way over to you and dips his fingers into the cream, copying you, and applied it to his skin.
"Do you want to join me?" You look up at Seonghwa who was testing out your products.
"Maybe we could do our skincare together now and then you could help me build my Lego?" He looks at you smiling with his big eyes that it's impossible to say no. Together you do your skincare and he uses all your products as he knows you know more about them than he does and he trusts your recommendations. As soon as you both apply your facemasks, he grabs your arm and pulls you over to where he was previously building his Legos.
"We can do this whilst we wait for them to dry."
Yunho
Yunho is sat in his gaming chair when you arrive home from your late shift. He's so focused that he didn't hear you come through the door and doesn't notice your presence until you practically collapse in his lap. He chuckles at your antics.
"Why don't you join me on this adventure? It might help you relax." He hands you a controller so you can join his game- he always finds a way to make you be a part of both his virtual world and his real world. You're hesitant at first because Yunho was so much better at video games than you were and you didn't want to be a burden on his quest but he eventually convinces you an he pulls a chair next to him. Late into the night, you were both victorious and your adventure had been filled with silliness and laughter.
You spend the rest of the night completing several quests which have made you realise that Yunho's only quest was to get you to laugh and relax.
Yeosang
San
You were in the living room painting a portrait when Yeosang came in. He stood behind you, admiring your artwork and when you look up at him, you could tell he wanted to try it.
"You're welcome to join me if you want. There's a spare canvas over there."
"Are you sure? I don't want to waste materials because we both know art isn't exactly my forte." You shrug and grab the equipment for him and place it next your canvas. He hesitates at first as he tries to figure out what he wants to paint but once he gets started, time goes by quickly and it's early in the morning by the time you're both done. Even though you were both silent throughout the process, it definitely made you both closer.
As you both sit back to admire your artwork, Yeosang whispers, "We should do this more often before bed."
It was almost midnight when San enters your shared apartment with a bag full of snacks from all over the world. He had a huge smile on his face which suggested that he wanted to try them with you at that very moment.
"San... we always end up snacking before bed," you said looking into the bag of goodies.
"So? It's kinda become a tradition now so we can't break it. Plus we've never tried these ones before." Convinced, you reach into the bag and pull out an unfamiliar bag of candy. You open the bag and give the first bite to see if it's good before trying it yourself. Once he gives you the all clear, you try it for yourself and end up loving it.
"Don't eat all of it, we've still got tons more to try." You and San end up turning it into a kind a mukbang until you're both so full, it makes you tired.
Wooyoung
Mingi
"We haven't played this one before yet," Mingi says, carrying a board game to the floor where you were already sat. It had become a routine to play board games before bed as you didn't always get to spend time with each other during the day.
"That looks fun, I'll help you set it up." You take the top off reavling the board game inside. It takes you 2 minutes to fully set up the game. Mingi lets you go first and hands you the dice. You roll the dice and move your piece forward accordingly.
Hours go by, with Mingi eventually winning the game. Excitedly, he gets up and starts bragging and celebrating his victory. You congratulate him and jokingly say, "You only won because cheated. I'll win fairly tomorrow."
"Game on Y/N."
You and Wooyoung always end up doing something silly you've seen off tiktok together just before you go to bed- tonight wasn't any different. You were silently watching tiktoks until you came across one that you wanted to do with Wooyoung.
"Wooyoung! Let's film a tiktok slapping each other with tortillas and neither of us can laugh."
Shocked by the sudden request, Wooyoung giggles, "Y/N what? Slap each other?" You end up showing him the video and he agrees after seeing how much fun it looks. You grab the tortilla wraps and water from the kitchen whilst Wooyoung sets up the camera. You film the tiktok and both of you lose and end up getting water everywhere but neither of you minded because of how much fun you were having. After posting the tiktok, you decide to go for round 2 which turned into round 3 and so on until it reaches close to 3 am and you both finally call it night.
Jongho
You were both sat on the couch on your phones until Jongho got up and started to set up the karaoke machine. You were confused as it was already 10.30pm but you watched him set it up anyway and didn't say a word. He finishes plugging everything in and passes you a microphone.
"Really? Right now? It's already late."
"Exactly, it's the perfect activity to tire us out. Hurry and pick the song." You're still confused but do it anyway and you pick out the perfect duet for you both to sing. He nods in approval to your choice and when his parts come up, he always holds your hand and looks at you in your eyes to make it seem like these words were made for you. You end up singing until early morning which is when your voices started to begin to hurt and your eyes were getting heavy- he was right, it was the perfect way to get you tired.

LBFAD is the most inspiring series I have ever watched and here is why…
Although Love Between Fairy and Devil (LBFAD) only caught my eye on Netflix in December 2023, I’m so glad it did and that I didn’t miss out on this stunning and thought-provoking masterpiece. It is the most inspiring series I have ever watched for many reasons. Aesthetically, I found the beautiful 4K production quality as enjoyable as high-budget productions such as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. I frequently felt the need to pause and admire the well-designed sets, and exquisitely detailed costumes of even minor characters. The acting is superb across the board, and the leads act and respond very naturally to each other. The long hair of male characters is especially well-done, falling naturally with subtle highlights and looks real. All these details breathe life into this fantasy world and make it very realistic.
Every line of each song from the phenomenal OST is brimming with hidden meanings related to the series, adding lots of additional context! The artwork created for the opening and ending sequences is also full of meaning (minor spoilers ahead). Take, for example, the last picture where the OTP are sitting on a boat in the Oblivion River, the junction between their two tribes, the male lead has removed his crown and hence his responsibilities at least for the moment, and they are watching the sunrise together for the rest of eternity after the close of the series (sigh!)
Every single character of note in the series goes through profound character growth, the only exception being the abstract ultimate villain Taisui. Even the secondary villains and dictator of Shuiyuntian have grown and changed their perceptions by the end. It made me believe that anyone is capable of opening their minds and bettering themselves. Both lead and side characters are repeatedly faced with overwhelmingly bleak choices and heartbreaking challenges, especially in the last ten episodes. Yet every time, they show courage, sacrifice and selfless love that is amazing and very inspiring.
It is rare to find this kind of poignance in any production. I used to find Game of Thrones inspiring due to Daenerys freeing the world of slavery…until Season 8 happened. LBFAD tops Game of Thrones in this regard by freeing two distinct realms from conflict. The actions of the OTP break through a hundred millenia of mutual hatred and relentless conflict between their people with no end in sight, to create a new dawn of lasting peace. LBFAD reminds me of Lord of the Rings in terms of its cinematographic beauty and themes of never losing hope and prevailing over overwhelming odds. However, the stronger focus of LBFAD on the lead couple’s development and on creating multidimensional villains and side characters made it, for me, more engaging to watch.
The world-building and depth of characters has many layers in LBFAD, to the extent that much of the context was clear to me only in retrospect on rewatching the series and on deep reflection. The fast pace of the series also means that a lot of action occurs off-screen in between scenes. There are no filler scenes, there is no room for them. Every scene adds new plot twists and depth to characters, making the series highly addictive.
I am not a native mandarin speaker, and came to realise how beautiful the language is only on encountering LBFAD and its OST. It inspired me to learn mandarin, which makes rewatching the series highly enjoyable as I am able to pick up new nuances. I’m embarrassed to be late to watch LBFAD after its release in August 2022, but have thoroughly enjoyed the posts on Tumblr from fellow fans, including enthralling artwork, meta and links to fanfiction. It has encouraged me to post on Tumblr myself. I have started to post my interpretations of artwork, mandarin names, xianxia concepts, and story-format reflections on each episode. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community!

Part II
Pairing: art teacher!Aemond Targaryen x reader (Horror AU)
Warnings: dark!Aemond, obsessive behavior, murder, horror, yandere, kidnapping, misanthropy, general creepy stuff.
Words: 1.2k
Summary: Drawn to the artworks of one of the most esteemed artists in the city, you wish to learn from him and find out what inspires him to create his masterpieces. You have no idea how much his secrets will cost you.
Part I
____________
It seemed no one was surprised with your revered art teacher being moody even on the very first day of the course. Aemond quite literally looked at your small group, winced, sighed, and proceeded with the rules, starting with punctuality and no phones in class. The more he talked, the more you felt like you just signed up to join the army.
While most artists you had known were all chaos personified, Aemond Targaryen turned out to be incredibly collected, meticulous, and obsessively neat. When you had finally entered his little studio - one of many in the building - you saw carefully assembled jars with paint, packs of pencils, canvases, and stacks of paper placed on the tables in such manner as if your teacher was Marie Kondo in the flesh. Moreover, the place was pristinely clean, like in a real estate commercial. Was it because it was your first lesson and he wanted to give you a good impression?
Certainly not. Aemond couldn't care less about anyone's opinion, that much was clear.
He started by giving you a simple composition to see the way each of you worked, and watching him going from a student to student to check on their progress, you froze in your seat. It just struck you Aemond Targaryen was going to see you draw. Which was the whole point, yes, but it scared the hell out of you as you imagined he saw your lack of talent and kicked you out of class immediately. Now, that would be a complete catastrophe, a blow your ego absolutely couldn't take.
When he had finally come up to you, you were shaking lightly in your seat with not a single thing drawn on the paper.
"Procrastinating, are we?" He bent down to look at a completely white sheet and then at you, arching a brow.
You nearly jolted up, gripping the pencil hard so that he wouldn't see your hands trembling from anxiety. You were so scared of him being harsh on you. If one of the very few people you looked up to said you were untalented, how could you live with it?
"I'm sorry, Sir! I'm just afraid I'll build the composition wrong."
What the hell? Sir? Where did it come from? What nonsense were you spouting just now?
But your teacher didn't look even remotely bothered by it or by your white sheet of paper, instead eyeing your hands shaking despite your best efforts to conceal your nervousness. He didn't exactly comfort you or anything, but he put his hand on your shoulder for a split second, squeezed it, and said, "It's fine if you get it wrong. Just draw."
Aemond nodded to you as if confirming his words, and you nodded in return, forcing yourself to take a deep breath once he retreated to the next student. He said it's alright. Mistakes are fine. Surely, you could do it, and he wouldn't berate you for it. You came here to study, and your teacher already knew your weak and strong sides based on the artworks you had submitted. Anyway, you could hardly embarrass yourself more after the "sir" episode, a couple of students giving you a side-eye.
So, you did draw, and it was fine. Not perfect, with many further corrections, but fine. Aemond didn't say anything humiliating about your composition: in fact, despite the poisonous impression he gave you the first time you see him at the gallery, he wasn't tough on anyone in the class.
The next lesson was fine, too. And the one after that. Aemond being a strict teacher was putting it lightly, but he didn't seem to want to bully anyone regardless of his numerous snarky remarks whenever his students made him angry. He didn't get upset at your mistakes, no. You were here to learn, he said when you were holding your breath, anxious to hear his judgment, but your teacher was never too harsh on you. Instead, he commended you on your diligent work. Teaching you to work hard and constantly improve yourselves was one of the main goals of his course, he announced after he kicked out one of the students, a young man named Alfred who didn't seem to be putting enough efforts in his drawings and had too much of a cheerful personality for Aemond to handle.
To be honest, your teacher had still been horrifying the first couple of lessons, and you ended up constantly calling him Sir whenever he spoke to you, despite your embarrassment. Apparently, your weird brain just refused to recognize him as anyone else. Extremely ashamed, you then tried not to make a sound to let your teacher forget about you so you would continue in complete silence. It seemed like it worked because he had never called out your weird wording. Clearly, he didn't enjoy working with people, but he was still putting up with your and everybody else's nonsense for the sake of teaching, which was commendable on its own.
But maybe he also wasn't as bad as he wanted to look. He gave everyone very detailed recommendations on what materials were better to buy and why, explained his own routine and what helped him to concentrate, and even shared some of his personal drawing techniques. Most of the students nearly fainted, you included. The way Aemond used a pencil was enough to drive you to orgasm. God knows what could happen when you'd start painting in color with him breathing down your neck.
Oh, the way he silently moved between the students' seats from one person to the other, staring intently at their canvases like he was reading their crime histories. How he spoke in a clear, firm voice, always sarcastic and alarmingly perceptive but not cruel. When he was taking a brush in his long, slender fingers, you felt the urge to squeak like a schoolgirl secretly watching her crush.
Aemond Targaryen was scary but unbelievably artistic, and you were ready to stay in his class even if he told you the red paint he was using was the blood of his enemies.
Actually, speaking about the mysterious paint, he finally shared some of it with the students by the beginning of the second month, giving you a new task.
"You'll be drawing my figure," he simply stated as ten pairs of hungry eyes stared at him, unblinking. "You are not allowed to change anything in my silhouette except for the color, but you can draw whatever background you deem necessary. Your task is to think of a transformation of a human being and convey your idea mainly with the use of your paint. If I see something stupid like you drawing me with a red heart or red lips, I will kick you out of class."
You stilled on the spot, nervously biting your lips to bits. Drawing Aemond Targaryen. You could stare at him however long you wanted, and it'd be perfectly alright because it's literally the purpose of the lesson.
___________
If you wouldn't be having a heart attack from all the feels, that is.

Fanbinding Masters of Mayhem - a Ninjago and Lego Monkie kid crossover!!!
FINALLY after weeks of putting the project on the shelf i finally have the (motivation) free time to complete this amazing bookbind!!! Shoutout to my best friend who came to me and ask if i could bind it. So what better birthday gift than to bind her current favourite crossover story? At the time of this post i have not given the gift to her yet so fingers crossed that she likes this 🤞😖
Thank you FictionForLife_NZ for creating this absolute hilarious masterpiece!! I have been wanting to read an LMK crossover fic for the longest time and low and behold, the ao3 algorithm has answered my prayers lol. Me and best friend really love the character interaction that the Ninja’s have with the LMK crew 😂. Also the shipping!! Best friend absolutely LOVES dragonfruit but was sad that they didn’t have as much of a fandom dedication as opposed to spicynoodles. So imagine her suprised (and scream) that dragonfruit is the main pairing in the story and their many iconic moments together!! Also the climax truly had me at the edge of my seat!! And that ending?? Gosh couldn’t have asked it better myself Ninjago writers really should take notes ✍️!!! Anyways enough rambling here’s the fic if you would like to give a read, absolute 10/10
Flip through
Some close ups
also yes excuse me and my terrible phone and room lighting it did not do this book justice.
Unfortunately I couldn’t find any fanart that was related/tagged so there was no illustrations for the book. However thats when i had the idea of making the chapter title in the same font as the Ninjago font! To make it seem like every new chapter is an episode!
Also unfortunately couldn’t tag the author since i can’t find their tumblr. If any of you know if said author does have tumblr please let me know!
If you’re all curious on how i make this, i recommend going to the first bookbinding project that i did, its all the same process except with some new improvements that im gonna talk about under the cut
I definitely learned a lot from my mistakes from the last time that i did this, and of course gain new mistakes as well 🥲.
The edges aren’t trimmed
The cover isn’t aligned
The printing for the covers are garbage
Book would not lay flat, instead forever stuck at a weird 120 degree angle
Overall a lot of stuff
This was a given by the fact that i have no experience and was impatient. But since this is a gift for Best Friend ofc this has to actually look good, so here are the improvements that i made
Signature printing— i will admit it took some time and effort but after the old cannon printer finally died permanently jammed, managed to convince parents to buy a more advanced and better printer that can now do double sided printing!! No more wasted signatures from here on out 😮💨
Cover printing — not wanting a repeat of the last time that i did it i went to my local Officeworks to get it printed by them. Here i discovered the beauty that is known as ✨Poster Prints✨. Now all of my yellow lines and elements actually do show an pop against the darker background!! Unfortunately this does have a drawback because the prints are sensitive to any type of scratching. Not the scratch and all the colors come off way, more like the scratch it and lines will show up kind of way as you can really see in the front cover :') . Will work on improving this is future projects.
Trimming the edges — originally in book one i trimmed the edges using your typical box cutter and cut it myself. Bad BAD idea i was doomed at that moment. So imagine my surprise the Officeworks ALSO do CUTTING service!!! My jaw dropped and i immediately went back the next day with my text block and asked them if they could trim all edges. After some inspection they put it through the guillotine and all of my edges are perfectly trimmed. Saved me all the time, money, and storage.
Laying book flat — this was definitely the biggest pet peeve that I have with my first book. The way i do it now is i now put a one cm gap between the front cover, side cover and back cover. And also using the right paper (cardstock) to connect the text block with the covers. Now the book can actually fully open!!!
Cover alignment — I printed out the front and back in regular paper and use that as a template on where i wanna fold the prints to find the cover. Worked like a charm
once again shoutout to best friend for giving me the brilliant idea when making the covers!! had it not been for her to point out about clause's book of spells i would have never made the coolest cover page that I've made in my entire binding experience!! all in all im pretty dang proud of myself for being able to improve on my bookbinding skill.

Hello!! I hope you are having a good time. Could you please write some comfort with fred weasley x reader having mental breakdown because she lost something important to her (I've recently lost my mp3 player which was with me for 7 years and was a support during depressive episodes; I will never find it, because I lost it outside and when I realized, it was too late? If it's too much, Could you please write just comfort about reader having a bad day? Thank you for paying attention for my request 🌟
Hi hi! I’m sorry about your mp3 player sweetie. Hopefully you like this, and it can cheer you up 😊 I did something a little different because I started fixating on the fact that ‘couldn’t wizards just summon a lost item with accio?’ lmao enjoy!
summary: Fred tries to cheer up y/n when he finds her upset in common room
warnings: none :)
—————————————————————————
It was your last class of the day and you were bored out of your mind already. History of Magic was always boring, so today you planned ahead. You head been working tirelessly on a portrait of your mother for her birthday, so you brought your drawing quill to class. As Professor Bins floated in the front of the room, you sat promptly in the back, inking the final touches of your masterpiece. It was almost the end of the class when you finished and asked to go to the bathroom. You left the sketchbook open and headed down the hallway. You were finally feeling happier as spring came around, and your mom was finally getting better. She’d been sick all winter with her illness and wasn’t doing well. You smiled as did your business and strolled back to class. When you got back, you saw Avery and Cassius snicker in your direction. As you approached your desk, you saw that your portrait had been vandalized with scratches and curse words, and a mustache drawn on your mother’s lips. Hot tears threatened to pour from your eyes as the class was dismissed, and you hurried back to the dorms. This wasn’t the first time you’d been victim to the Slytherins bullying. As you ran up to the seventh floor, you tried to hide your face as you entered the portrait hole. By now, you were hyperventilating, the ruined sketch crumpled in your hand. You had worked so hard, and now it was ruined forever. You just wanted to make your mom happy.
“Y/N?” Fred sat up on the couch when he saw your state. His eyes flashed with worry which only made you feel worse because your pain shouldn’t be passed on to Fred. He was always so sweet to you and you didn’t want to burden him with something as stupid as a painting. He began to stand, leaving behind his project on the couch.
“Are you okay, Y/N? What happened?”
Your response came out as a choked sob as Fred crossed the room to meet you. He instantly embraced you, something he had done many times before. He never minded being your shoulder to cry on, and you never minded the affection. He shushed you as he swayed you back and forth. After a moment, you sniffled and rubbed your eyes, Fred ducking down and wiping a tear off your chin. You uncrumpled the sketch and passed it to him.
“I was making this for my mom. Slytherins got to it,” you frowned, looking once again at the ruined drawing. Fred smoothed it out.
“Who did this.”
You looked up and locked eyes with Fred. There was not a hint of a smile on his face.
“Freddie…” you said, cautiously. You didn’t want anymore trouble. The drawing was already ruined.
“Who did this,” he asked again, stepping towards you and motioning to the portrait. You swallowed. His height seemed to grow as he got closer to you.
“I- uhm,” you stuttered. You didn’t want to tell him, you knew he was going to confront them. Or at least get back at them.
“Y/N, I’m not going to cause any trouble,” he started sweetly, giving you a small smile, “but they ruined your portrait. Please, just tell me who did this.” He breathed out and pleaded with his eyes. You could never say no to him.
“Avery and Cassius,” you sighed. He pulled you into another hug.
“I’m sorry Y/N, I know how much this would’ve meant to your mom,” he said softly into your hair, “but she’s going to love anything you send her, darling.” He kissed the top of your head before pulling back and giving your shoulders a squeeze. You couldn’t help but smile a bit as he bid you off to your dorm for some rest. Your cheeks blushed as you thought about his smile and his hugs. He definitely knew how to cheer you up, and he would never let you go up to your dorm crying alone.
So you shouldn’t have been surprised when you went down to dinner to find Avery and Cassius with permanent inked mustaches and crosses over their eyes, but it felt just as satisfying.

Thomas is such a talented individual, to the point he can just sound slightly different and we as fans can recognize that he’s acting as different characters.
I KNOW he’s talented enough to pull off badass works of art, especially when it comes to Sanders Sides.
Now all of a sudden, after making MASTERPIECES like the Into The Unknown cover, and SVS (part 1 and 2) AND WTIT, he can’t make a decent Sides vid?
I love the new vid, don’t get me wrong. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I will love Thomas’ work regardless of what it is.
However, the HUGE downgrade NEEDS to be talked about.
So let’s discuss my thoughts on the uproar of anger at this new episode.
First and foremost, the makeup. It TANKED. Just look at this- How did Janus and Virgil go from this -
TO THIS???
Like, Thomas what happened. I can 100% understand that Janus’ scales are far from easy to do, so his is more understandable, especially bc he has a new makeup artist. It just looks like it’s the artists first attempt?? If that makes sense??
On the other hand, I have NO experience in makeup, absolutely zero. Yet, I still think I could manage to do Virgil’s makeup- it’s one step.
The writing was so off this whole episode too. Roman was almost unrecognizable until the other sides appeared- like why was he so out of character-
Janus’ whole character was so complex, and I loved it, and then this asides episode came out and he’s suddenly just a sassy wine aunt. What did they do to my boy?
THE BIGGEST THING THAT TRIPPED ME UP THO.
Why does this episode exist?
We already talked about how anxiety will look different to other people. YEARS AGO actually. VIRGIL WAS THE FIRST TO SAY THAT. And yet we are here. Why?
GRGRGGRGR IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY- I JUST WANT SANDERS SIDES CONTENT, BUT NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE QUALITY DROPPING. I will gladly wait these nearly four years for an episode, but if the quality looks like THIS, I don’t want it. I don’t want the season finale that badly. Quality over quantity, Thomas.

My top 10 favorite South Park episodes, no one asked but here we go
10. With Apologies to Jesse Jackson
This is a controversial episode to put here because of how offensive it is, and truthfully, I didn't care too much for the A plot. But the B-plot makes up for it. Watching Cartman and a Midget fight to Get Down with the Sickness is so hilariously absurd.
9. You're Getting Old/Ass Burgers
This is the second/third episode I remember watching before I got into the show. I included them both in one spot because Ass Burgers is a continuation of You're Getting Old, but each have their own separate charm. I definitely shed a tear when Stan moved out to Fleetwood Mac's Landslide and split my sides laughing as Kyle yelled at Cartman for sticking the burgers up his ass. I also heavily relate to Stan's meltdown in class in Ass Burgers, because that's real emotion. An amazing storyline overall.
8. Make Love, Not Warcraft
I mentioned that the previous two episodes were some of my first episodes, but not THE first episode. That title goes to this episode. When I was born, my brother was 15, and as I grew up, I often watched him play World of Warcraft. So this episode is very nostalgic to me, not just because him and I watched it but because as someone who plays WOW nowadays (very inconsistently), it's so nostalgic to see how much has changed.
7. The Losing Edge
This is just a classic episode. The boys don't want to participate in baseball and try to get out of it by losing, but the other teams have the same idea. I think we all know who the real star of the episode is: Randy. I thought this was America!
6. Trapped in the Closet
Subtlety is completely ignored in this episode. As Stan is praised as the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard, his comments about Tom Cruise send him literally into the closet. I think my favorite bit in the episode is R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet verses, specifically when he pulls out a gun in Stan's room and everyone in the hallway runs away.
5. Major Boobage
This episode is... beautiful. The animation is impressive, and the story is hilarious as well. Kenny and Gerald cheesing and then getting into a fight, Cartman reliving the Holocaust with the cats, and the funny ass press conference given just solidify this episode as legendary.
4. Le Petit Tourette
This episode introduced my favorite one-off character, Thomas. But even more than that, it gave us a great story and a chance for us to see Cartman's plan blow up in his face. While it ultimately never came to fruition due to Kyle's actions, it's satisfying to know that he definitely revealed a deep secret or two in exchange for almost slandering minority groups on national TV.
3. Follow That Egg
I have vague memories of watching this episode as a kid, but I don't consider it as one of my firsts because I could only really recall them running through the crowd trying to save their grade. But it's a fantastic episode. Ms. Garrison's attempts to stop gay marriage from being legalized, to Stan's comical bitterness towards Kyle and Wendy, it all comes together and compliments each other well.
2. D-Yikes!
I didn't expect to get so personal on a South Park top 10 list, but it's the honest truth. South Park became a major comfort for me after my assault. And this was the first episode I watched that made me burst out laughing since the attack; Ms. Garrison screaming "scissor me timbers!" has got to be one of the funniest lines in the show's history. And overall, it's just a fun episode to watch.
1. Guitar Queero
This is an underrated masterpiece of an episode that more people should watch. The plot of the episode feels so fluid, and everything about it makes sense to me. The rise to stardom, falling to drugs (well, video games about drugs), losing it all and returning to give it one final shot just encompasses what South Park can really do when given the right tools. Maybe I'm biased because Season 11 is my favorite season, but something about this episode just really scratches my brain.
Anyways, that's my list! Thanks all for reading.
