headcanon that people of the islands sleep schedule is like, four hours later than average.
they wake up at mid day, and sleep well past midnight. kids begging their parents on weekends to pleeaaase please let them step up just a little longer to watch the sun rise. early-riser visitors / tourists having to adapt to their horrid schedule because stars forbid theyre up and about at 10:30.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BESTEST WIDDLE SNAKEY WAKEY.
I can't believe my son is 18!! I estimated a birth date for him to be about a month before I got him in fall of 2006, since he was such a widdle month-old baby sneky. I always try to get a good birthday pic of him - especially after he eats and gets the good yawns in.
Pretty soon, he'll be off to snake college, for snakes. Dunno how we're gonna afford those ssssnudent loans.

loki season two has me screaming crying throwing up trying not to get dragged back into the mcu trenches
#i am stronger than this. i am better than this!!#by the trenches i mean consuming fanfiction at an unhealthy rate. fourteen year old me was insane i think i was on ao3 more than i slept#thatās not exaggeration. i was getting four hours of sleep on school nights and frequently went to bed at 5am on weekends#it is ONE good story. one. literally not worth it. i donāt even care about ninety percent of the mcu characters#i will ignore the little voice in my head reminding of the sheer amount of fanfiction. this was my pre-tumblr days#so my fandom interaction was like. youtube and ao3. maybe instagram posts sometimes. it was so much fun like. zero drama zero discourse#i was honestly living my best life. got less interested when i joined tumblr and went full doctor who mode#and after endgame i watched i think wandavision and loki and that was it. just didnt care anymore lol#i know exactly why this is happening tho. currently the thing i am insane about is my own damn project. which i am in the process of writin#for obvious reasons no fandom there. bc it lives in my mind twenty four fucking seven#i do wonder if iām kind of growing away from fandom anyway? the closest iāve got since toh ended was homestuck tbh#i want to feel obsessed with something again!! everything iām into now - tma tlt and the like - i love them#but it doesnt hit like it used to. i donāt know itās hard to explain#like video essays that i would have loved a few years ago!! the hour long ones about representation and queer media#they just irritate me now! i got halfway through one last week and had to bail i just could not care less#how did 2020 social media have me convinced that x character being gay was super important politically economically socially etc#ofc the answer is that i was a baby lesbian getting even less social interaction than normal#like representation is important obviously but also. sometimes it was not that deep#i donāt know if iām making sense tbh but you get my drift#morganposting

i have reached approx 80k words for a/b fic, which is the same length as the completed sebis fic i have on ao3, so i feel like that's an achievement, so hooray

it sure has been quite a week
#g o d this week was such a messā¢ļø#i kicked off the week wrong (as always) with ~3h of sleep bc i can never fall asleep on monday nights (sadge)#and ofc i had to do 2 workstationsā worth of work bc lack of manpower lmao#then on tuesday i had yet another family dinner to say goodbye to my bro (lol)#even though heād already been treated to at least 3 other meals by that point (lmao)#i still think my dinner treat from a few weeks back was the best though~~~~~~ a 4 course sky dining meal def tops any restaurant right~~~~~?#and on suiyoubi (my dudes) we boated him off to military training island for his mandatory enlistment. that sure was. an experience.#i still kinda regret finishing my meal at the military cafeteria place thing thoughā¦ i was the only one at the table who finished it :(#even my big eater of a bro couldnāt finish his :(#and my mother has been making fun of me for finishing the (allegedly) huge portioned meal ever since :(#she keeps joking about enlisting me bc army food āØclearlyāØ suits my tastes :( ātruly sadded.#anyways it was back to work on thursday. which sucked. ofc. also bc iād overslept by half an hour and had to rush. lmao.#anddddd on friday. my boss told me that iād missed out on submitting one worksheet thing of results#even though i c l e a r l y remember doing the test it was for (and organising all of the worksheet things for the matter)#so my coworker and i just watched her sift through the stack of worksheetsā¦ only for her to actually find the āmissingā piece of paper#she then said āok found it sorryā so my coworker and i just went ā(ŹāæŹ) okayyyyyyyyyyā p. sarcastically and left her office#and ofccccc there was work on saturday too. yay. went to the pkm centre after that thoughhhh#which was fun yes. but. they didnāt have āØc h a i r d e o x y sāØ on sale :(((((#they stopped selling goomy earrings and that huge plush too :( and the smaller goomy plushies for the matter :((((#i realllyyy shouldāve bought the goomy earrings while they were still availableā¦ even though they were like 8 bucks per stud#my goomy plushie collection remains unexpanded :( my jigglypuff collection grew by 1 though~~~~#so now i have 3 official jigglies of varying sizes and 1 bootleg jiggly that looks. pretty horrifying in bad lighting actually#p. sadded by how my family calls my taste in pkm boring thoughā¦ āitās either jigglypuff or that purple thingā they sayā¦ :((((#aaaaaa i wish i couldāve bought that super cute plush of goodra holding a happily smiling goomy i saw on my tripā¦#itās too bad that the plushies (there were like 2-3 of them) were locked inside a display cabinet :(((( it was so cuteeeeeeeee#though my fam wouldāve made me put it back if iād even managed to get it out back then lol. āthat purple thing again?!ā theyād prolly sayā¦#anyways. this sure was a week. im so tired. help#no clue how i should spend the rest of my night tbhā¦ maybe beach sisters time? hmmmmmm. oh wells.#ādaiāly shitpost of the day
