Sadly the program will be forced to end if Republicans in Congress continue to block new funding

The White House announced $5 billion for a National Semiconductor Technology Center, focusing on research and development as well as workforce needs. This is part of an effort under the CHIPS and Science Act to make America a world leader in science and grow jobs for the 21st century. This will include hundreds of millions of dollars of investment in workforce development

The EPA announced finalized rules that will strength air quality standard around fine particle pollution, AKA soot. The new stronger rules are projected to prevent 4,200 premature deaths and save Americans $46 billion in health costs by 2032. Soot is particularly harmful to those with lung and heart illnesses, children and those with asthma. Industrial soot is more common in low income communities

The Department of Transportation announced $1.5 Billion investment in America's bus systems. The bulk of the money will go helping local transport authorities buy low or no emission buses. There will also be investment in bus facilities.

President Biden signed a memorandum directing a strengthening of human rights safe guards around weapons transferred from US stockpiles to allied nations. The directive seeks to guarantee no arms are transferred that might be used to violate human rights.

At first glance, Xi Jinping seems to have lost the plot.

China’s president appears to be smothering the entrepreneurial dynamism that allowed his country to crawl out of poverty and become the factory of the world. He has brushed aside Deng Xiaoping’s maxim “To get rich is glorious” in favor of centralized planning and Communist-sounding slogans like “ecological civilization” and “new, quality productive forces,” which have prompted predictions of the end of China’s economic miracle.

But Mr. Xi is, in fact, making a decades-long bet that China can dominate the global transition to green energy, with his one-party state acting as the driving force in a way that free markets cannot or will not. His ultimate goal is not just to address one of humanity’s most urgent problems — climate change — but also to position China as the global savior in the process.

It has already begun. In recent years, the transition away from fossil fuels has become Mr. Xi’s mantra and the common thread in China’s industrial policies. It’s yielding results: China is now the world’s leading manufacturer of climate-friendly technologies, such as solar panels, batteries and electric vehicles. Last year the energy transition was China’s single biggest driver of overall investment and economic growth, making it the first large economy to achieve that.

I talked about the signs and houses connection to body parts and many of you requested this post. These are ways to do your self-care using your chart, the signs, and planetary placements and aspects. The same concept can be applied using simple self-love practices in other areas of life too.

I recommend you look at your transits chart or solar return as well to better know the best self-care practices at the time. You can base your general self-care on your natal chart but the transits can tell you the best times to take action or avoid taking action on something significant.

First of all, for climate change:

I'd just buy a goddamn piece of land in the desert, the bigger, the better, and FILL it with solar panels. A land the size of a small country, cool, lay lines to a nearby city, boom, whole city gets switched to solar, every person is charged cents per year for electricity, companies a little more. I can use that money to a) keep the panels, lines etc intact, clean and whatnot, and b) to install more panels elsewhere. Go to Vegas and cover every tall building and hotel from top to bottom with solar panel windows and will power itself AND its entire neighbourhood. Rinse and repeat in all kinds of places. Add wind turbines by the sea and in the middle of roads. Boom. Fixed. (obv we add batteries for it all, idk why anti-solar people always forget that, it's been obvious in the 90's when I was a CHILD)

All workers put out of a job because coal mines, power plants etc are closing? Whoever can retire pls do that, the rest, we offer as many as possible to be re-trained for installing and maintaining our stuff, the panels, the turbines, the lines, etc. Others can be put into re-foresting areas like were coal mines were with appropriate plants for the region, balance the ecosystem.

Improve public transport in those places, have Tesla work on GOOD public transport methods, improved subways/trains and buses, also with solar and wind power, thing that don't fucking break in the car wash or rain, and through that, have it be free! I promise every country can afford the drivers' wages and minor maintenance when you don't have to substitute 43829019384 cars and fix roads all the time, and there is 0 gasoline or electricity to be paid for, ultimately.

I'd pester every single museum in the world. Remember the fire in the Brazilian Museum that destroyed plenty of things in it? Let's not have that happen again! Everybody give me your stuff for 3 seconds, so I can do super high quality 3D renders of it all and preserve it for all eternity, maybe in Zuckerberg's weird bunker idk, and have all museums access all scans in there through their own network, so that a) IF disaster strikes again, we won't lose as much. Even if the original may be destroyed, we still have some form of access to it. b) if some artifacts and objects can't be shipped around, you can still include them through screens or projections, or even have a goddamn VR glasses exhibition of old temples in life size! Imagine! You can only import so many Egyptian artifacts for your exhibition, it will never be truly complete, but you can include a screen that allows visitors to scroll through all the related things and view them closely. You can project the pyramids into an empty space in the room and have them digitally disassemble the thing, piece by piece, to show exactly how they were built and how the corridors inside run, what someone could expect. You can project the pyramid's corridors AROUND visitors to give them a taste of it. You can have them go into the VR room and have them walk the hallways digitally, or have them stand in the Colosseum or ancient temples, the way they looked 2000 years ago, filled with life! Maybe I would "accidentally" ship all objects back to their original owners and leave most european museums with the 3d printed copies but that's not relevant right now

With that, we could also open up websites where all objects in the catalogue can be VIEWED by anyone in the world, with a little texty-text from experts, which means more accessibility, for people across the globe who'll never get to that specific location, people who can't necessarily leave the house for whatever reason, people who simply cannot enter some museums, etc etc. It means students can more easily find in depth, high quality information. It means all people regardless of income can theorise and discuss these things. Imagine how fun Covid would have been, had we had access to all that information. If everyone had been able to make posts about how "I found this fun detail on this object/art piece and nobody seems to have talked about it EVER?!" and "So, I couldn't sleep and I was looking through the catalogue and came across this thing, and then fell down a rabbit hole. For years Medicare was not allowed to directly negotiate prices with drug companies leaving seniors to pay high prices. Thanks to Inflation Reduction Act, passed with no Republican support, this long time Democratic goal is now a reality

This is on top of capping insulin costs at $35/month and all out of pocket drug costs at $2,000 a year starting for Medicare recipients

Administration launched crackdown of companies wasting consumer time

Proposed rules that require companies to make canceling a subscription or service as easy as signing up for it

IRS has collected over a Billion Dollars in back taxes from the richest Americans, so far this year

One year anniversary of the American Climate Corps has seen 15,000 young people connected to well paid jobs in climate resilience. A new Environmental Justice Climate Corps program was announced which will connect 250 American Climate Corps members with local communities and help them achieve environmental justice projects

Announced that 4.2 million small business owners and self-employed people get their health insurance through the ACA marketplace. The self-employed are 3 times as likely as other Americans to use the marketplaces for their insurance

Pressed freight railroad companies to close the gap and offer paid sick time to all their employees. Under Biden's leadership the number of Class I freight railroad workers with paid sick days increased from 5% to 90%. Now he is pushing to get it for the last 10%.

$965 million to help school districts buy clean energy buses

The administration took another step in its historic efforts to protect the Colorado River System by signing 5 water conservation agreements with local water authorities in California and Arizona conserving over 717,000 acre-feet of water by 2026

Biden announced a new EPA rule that will require all lead pipes in America's drinking water systems to be replace within 10 years

Harris plans to expand Medicare to cover home health care. Currently long term care is only covered by Medicaid, the health program for the poor, so people must spend all their savings before they can qualify. This would allow more seniors to stay in their homes and would be a gamechanger for disabled Americans, who also get coverage from Medicare

Medicare released a preliminary list of 101 generic drugs which it would cover that would cost $2 or less for a month for enrollees. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare will be allowed to pay for generic drugs, which was long resisted by drug companies

Administration’s Domestic Policy Advisor announced they had blown past goal of hiring 250,000 student support staff for 2024, with 320,000 tutors, mentors, student success coaches, postsecondary transition coaches, and support coordinators nationwide

$420 million to help get rid of lead paint and other lead hazards from homes

Week 39

Announced they had forgiven the student loan debt of 1 million public sector workers through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness, which was passed in 2007 but almost impossible to access until the Biden Administration’s overhauls

Federal Trade Commission finalizes its "one-click to cancel" rule which requires businesses to make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it was to sign up for it

Announced there are 1.7 million more construction and manufacturing jobs and 700,000 more jobs in the transportation sector since the start of the administration, and 400,000 more union workers than in 2021.

EPA announced its finalized rule strengthening standards for lead paint dust in pre-1978 housing and child care facilities. The new standards set the lowest level of lead particle that can be identified by a lab as the standard for requiring lead remediation

$50 million dollar fine against American Airlines for its treatment of disabled passengers and their wheelchairs. Half the fine will go to replacing such damaged wheelchairs

Biden administration has leveled a historic # of fines against airlines ($225 million) for their failures. Also published an Airline Passengers with Disabilities Bill of Rights, passed a rule on accessible lavatories on aircraft, and is drafting a rule to make airlines replace lost or damaged wheelchairs with equal equipment at once

$430 million dollars to help boost domestic clean energy manufacturing in former coal communities in 15 different towns

$4.2 billion in new infrastructure investment for 44 projects across the country
