artemis soft domming butler

artemis telling butler he's done very well, that artemis is very pleased with him, and it pushes a button butler didn't know he had.

putting words to the frankly quite strange fact that all butler seems to want to do in the world is serve and shadow artemis. that his personal growth has shaped around artemis, growth into what artemis needed him to be. unconsciously, instinctually self-moulded to better usher artemis through the world, life.

butler sitting on the floor, head in artemis' lap, while soft fingers soothe circles into his scalp. artemis cooing what a good and useful Thing he's been for him. butler not having to be anything but a quiet and useful Thing for a little while his Master touches and enjoys him.

also the "i want to do something, but i'm scared" "then do it scared" mindset is exactly how i'm approaching artfight this year. i have a hard time considering myself an Artist. i have a hard time feeling confident in doing something like this. but by god am i going to do it scared.

i had a restful and restorative saturday where i slipped all social obligations and assembled a wonky future wall hanging. i want to have a hand quilting project (see second image for quilting ideas) and this is a nice portable 2'x3' size. i think it will end up being ugly but that's okay.

this was my first time piecing blocks with curves! i was very brave! also all the dark blue is slightly stretchy corduroy and it is nigh unironable and this sucker needs to be steamed

i'm truly astonished that AF is getting a musical after the critical and financial disaster that was the film. how the hell did colfer swing that with disney?

well. i guess rick riordan got something similar with the percy jackson film vs. musical? and i haven't watched that musical, but the songs are pretty fucking good. so i think there's hope yet.
