 ♘ - a memory of their sibling(s)

The sisters, each being two years apart from one another, basically watched each of the others gain their first Pokémon. Their parents wanted each of their first team members to be more of a pet than a battling partner at first, so their initial friends were quite tame.

When Morgan turned 10, their parents gave her a Deerling. The grass-type was a bit shy at first, but was also immediately fascinated by Morgan’s singing, and this helped them bond quite quickly.

When Dana turned 10, her first Pokémon was a Swinub. Although their parents knew that Swinub would eventually grow quite large, the little one was quite tame, and seemed to enjoy naps more than anything else. Still, Dana quickly picked up that the best way to train it was with food, and the two became fast friends.

When Nita turned 10, she was gifted a Spoink. The psychic type seemed a perfect match for energetic Nita, with both of them constantly bouncing around. Their personalities clicked the second they met one another, and even as a Grumpig, it keeps up with her easily.

Sori wrapped her hand around a stubborn root she had spent an undiscerned amount of time locked in battle with and plucked it straight up claiming victory. The defeated obtrusion silhouetted directly in the early evening sun as Sori’s victorious face melted to realization. She scrunched her lips to the side and rubbed her burnt scalp.

Usually pretty decent; she’s usually pretty punctual. Immature she may be sometimes, but forgetful she is rarely. Unless she’s absorbed in a particularly fascinating piece of research or an incredibly thrilling battle, you can usually expect her to be where she’s supposed to be, exactly when she’s supposed to be.

Barry wasted no time as well. He left his seat, in front and middle of the class, and stumbled to the back where his two closest friends were. His teacher’s protest to ‘stay in your seat, Barry!’ fell on deaf ears and other kids quickly followed Barry’s lead. She wasn’t paid enough for this. 

“Lucas! Dawn!” His hands slammed on Lucas’s desk. “Quickly! Before the Reily Kids take our beanbag spot! I’ll get our science stuff.”

Out of all his Pokemon, his Serperior brings him the most happiness because she was there for him as a Snivy until he became who he was. She looks after him and he’s extremely grateful for that. Their moments spent together are what bring him joy.

Dawn’s gaze hardens. She knows that Lucas wants nothing more to forget the incident, but those shoves accompanied with those words and slurs are unforgivable. 

“No. We don’t have to talk about them. But I’m going to teach them a lesson.”

She brushes sand and dirt off her knees, grimacing at the tiny indents from the uneven ground. She makes sure that Lucas is bandaged up good, and storms off to look for the perpetrators. 

“Don’t follow me. Piplup will protect me.”

The sky in this new land seemed so much clearer and expansive. Though the cold assaulted her tight skin Sori enjoyed it briskness the air bestowed. The thin air invaded her lungs and seemed to clear all the stress of the ride there.

Mandy was unimpressed by the temperature. She was used to the mild embrace of heat in Hoenn. Ever since Mandy came into her life, Sori was graced with a sudden broadening of horizons. Her mother brought her with her on a trip to her birthplace in Canalave City. Thankfully it was a port city so their boarding was immediately available after arrival. 

The house they were staying in once belonged to her mother and her parents. It was now owned by a family friend who stayed in contact with her mother. Sori did not have much to unpack since she had nothing suiting the climate difference. Her coziest mid length dress of peach and tree brown trim was a decent transition. The port city itself wasn’t too terribly cold. It was a pleasant light cold that rested on your exposed skin, only to be noticed when indoors or around other body heat. 

Her vivacious mother was not one to rest after so much excitement. Sori’s much craved nap would have to wait. The high pitched glee radiating from the old friends was too loud to allow a nap. Sori respectfully gave thanks for the comforts and invitation and asked to tour the area. 

Her mother, knowing of her unconditional love for earth in her fingernails, persuaded her friend to let her go. The sea was beautiful, but it was the green was calling to her. She borrowed a small felt ribbon to scarf Mandy with and headed out towards the route checkpoint.

-Barry, no doubt, has all the quality of a Gryffindor with an affinity for skipping classes he knows he’s going to fall asleep in (this gets him into ALOT of trouble not only affecting his grades but also hurting his House Point standings)

-Though he does try to go to class because he hates it when Lucas and Dawn glare disappointed looks at him. Lucas sometimes kicks Barry awake, and it’s not a friendly, hey wake up, kind of tap…

-Palmer used to be the Captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team, one of the best, well respected even by other teams, and treasured player. Barry dreams to be like his Dad, even better than his Dad because why not?

-He has many friends and connections up the wazoo from all Houses because he is that sociable. Of course, that also means he has that many enemies so fights or, much to Barry’s distaste, passive aggressive pranks thrown at him and his friends is very frequent.

-His pet choice would be a bright green and yellow Pygmy Puff
