But how? What was evolution anyway? What are Digimon? What are the Chosen Children? "I want to know! I want to know! I want to know!" Koushiro shouted. A single star above {Koushiro}'s head glittered. The star changed into a shape Koushiro had once seen before, flying like a comet into Koushiro's hand. It was a Crest.

I made in just under 2 hours, or, about an hour and 50 minutes total of editing, plus saving and review checks; as I aimed to finish just in time for: "Kou&Ten Day" a.k.a a "Koushiro & Tentomon Day" {Focus} (5/10, May 10) in the J.P.N fan base, the name comes from the "Kou" of Koushiro's J.P.N name, {Kou = Go = "Five" (5)} as pronounced in J.P.N + "Ten", a nickname for "Tentomon" partially given by Mrs. Izumi during "02" ("Tento-san") Koushiro fans often share Koushiro works on this day, including platonic works.

02 Appreciation Day 5

I’ve thought about all of my options and I’ve reached a conclusion.

DAY 5 - A 02 episode that you would rewatch right now

It’s not an episode! Though for episodes it would depend on my mood, so I’m going with something I really REALLY love to rewatch when in doubt of what to watch.

Digimon Adventure 02: Diablomon Strikes Back movie. I’ve gushed about this movie in another challenge this year for the Kizuna countdown, but every moment i get to gush about this movie will be a pleasure for me.

I will just list what I love in it this time.

It got all the Adv & 02 kids cast working together, even if some of them had so little role in the plot. Sadly, we only got Agumon, Gabumon and Tentomon in the movie...

Good music & art, I love the soundtrack and the pseudo-Hosoda style of it. Plus, Daisuke’s hair is the fluffiest just like it was supposed to be!

Cute design for everyone, I really appreciate the wardrobe of the characters in this movie, especially the colors for them all. And, Ken is at least NOT wearing a gray gakuran

Has a strong post-02 Ken portrayal, he’s sassy and takes no shit from Daisuke. He also knows how to tease Daisuke and boost his friend’s confidence, something that leads to the concept of the real Ken being a chaotic kid.

The real MVPs of the movie are the 02 squad, Ken boosts Daisuke’s confidence, Daisuke comes up with the plan to gather the Kuramon at Tokyo Bay so they can fight, Miyako hacks Shibuya’s big screens to lure the Kuramon, and Iori nails at suggesting to use everyone’s phones to send the Kuramon back to Koushiro.

Has my favorite Daisuke quote from all of the 02 material, “Don’t give up. We always fight with all we have until the end, right?”

Has Miyako with the Odaiba Middle/Jr. High uniform, which it’s a very funny scene at the opening.

Bolero, just saying

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, which I consider to be the union of the two generations into one, with Omegamon sharing his power with Imperialdramon, and man... The very white armored design for Imperialdramon is so cool...!!

Cute ED song & animation, I just like AiM’s songs. And the credits has the cute style on MIyako’s laptop screen loading photos of the kids! Ah, and a full cast photo at the end with everyone (yes, their digi) at the iconic trolley car!

A very cool sequel for Our War Game!, which has a lot of visual and musical references to the second movie from the OG Adventure series.

Good humor, which yeah very funny and nice to watch!!

That’s it, it’s all the points I like in this movie!!

favorite thing about them: He’s so cute and smart and even if he’s the quiet type, thanks to all the Chosen Children and Tentomon he really opens up while keeping the traits that made him unique, I love his character development.

least favorite thing about them: How,, kinda rude and stuck up he was at first. I get it’s entirely because of his personality and he’s not actively trying to be mean in any way, but for example that one early Adv episode with Koushiro and Mimi in the ruins shows perfectly what I mean. Also, his crush on Mimi on tri, because like,, I just can’t see it ayy.

favorite line: “Why won’t you let me fight?!” in those final eps with Taichi/Hikari/Koushiro on the battle lines because,, dear god if that line wasn’t beautifully delivered (and the angst man)

brOTP: Koushiro + Sora tbh, I think that their personalities fit really well together; on tri Sora calls Koushiro for advice when she’s having the whole Taichi/Yamato problem which shows she trusts him that much, and with both being in the soccer club they probably developed a close friendship too?? digimon give me more interactions pls. 

OTP: Taikou/Taishiro, no questions here. They have one of the best dynamics I’ve seen in a while and their relationship is really unique and not the conventional best friends you’d find on every shonen show. They can act as excellent support for each other but have miscommunication going on between them throughout basically the entire show which gives room for so many scenarios. And they’re cute aesthetically together too just,, *rolls on the floor*

nOTP: Kou/mi, mainly because I didn’t get any good vibes from the setup in tri at all, before tri I was just indifferent about it but after that,, it’s really not my cup of tea anymore and the ‘social butterfly’/���nerd’ ship aesthetic is cute, but Taichi basically covers the first role while actually having a meaningful connection with Koushiro so.

random headcanon: I like to think he’d make Taichi, Hikari and perhaps Sora play the Professor Layton games with him, as they’re puzzle based he’d probably enjoy them but get a bit frustrated on the ones that aren’t pure math or logic, so having a second opinion and some commentary while playing would be nice!

unpopular opinion: I don’t really know what’s popular in this fandom and what’s not but... He had a really weak characterization in tri imho, I enjoyed some moments with him but a lot of the time he just felt kinda all over the place due to the Mimi thing.

Habits and references “Digimon tri” Today: Koushirou/Izzy Izumi

I collected some habits from the preview Digimon series that are still used in Digimon tri..here are some habits that Koushirou/ Izzy shows.

1. Oolong tea love. During adventure 01 and 02 there are no hints about that tea love..so where is it from? Anwser: Digimon movie “Our war games” and “Diaboromon strikes back”. We can see Izzy drinking very much tea..especially in “our war games” when Izzy is leaving all Digimonfight behind cause he couldnt hold it any longer..hahaha. In tri he praises his beloved drink and drinks it like water or...coffee...well its healthy after all.

2. Endless talking about something. Well..Izzy was very talkactive during adventure 01 and 02. You can hear him talking reeeeally much in episode 07 from adv. 01 when he and Tentomon are inside the factory..poor Tentomon (and in the episode with Mimi a little bit). During season 02 is a very funny moment as well which shows his endless speech..Izzy is mad because Tai and Daisuke used the Digigate all by themselves..its already night and Izzy is a little bit pissed. First he is angry with tai and than talks and talks about some information he got while nobody is lisitening. In tri he loves to talk even more...

3. (Pine)apple...of course Izzy uses a Mac/Apple computer. Everyone who uses a Mac knows the difference. Well...you can see the “pineapple” symbol everywhere in adventure 01 and 02. On the laptop, boxes, logos...I wonder if this is a mac commercial XD. In tri he still uses a mac/apple..now a macbook version in silver

4.Relationsship Komi - Yes. Koushiro is showing interest in Mimi. During adventure 01 he doesnt seem to like her too much...a japanese magazinze showed the thoughts and relations between the Digimembers. Between Koushiro/Izzy and Mimi was a arrow whith the term ”Mimi is a person with a strange way of thinking”. In the movie Diaboromon strikes back Mimi loved to tease Koushiro/Izzy. She was annoyed that he doesnt greeded her and put books on his head after he fell asleep...well and in tri Mimi seems to enjoy to tease Koushiro/Izzy even more. He seems to be in love/crush on but Mimi doesnt take it seriously I think...

5. Trash everywhere. Well tha habit is from the digimon movie as well...during Diaboromn strikes back we see empty teabottles everywhere...even if in adventure 02 his room is really organized. maybe mommy was cleaning? XD

6. Discussion between Tai and Izzy about “We are no longer a group” - Movie Our war game again...nearly the same discussion like in tri episode 1 exists in that movie as well. Izzy is installing the PC from Tais dad and says “Really..is that so,,?” while Tai is complaining about the fact that the Digidesined are no longer a strong bond.

Im preatty sure that there are more habits but I wondered that so many references are from the movie XD.

Next check will be about Tai/Taichi oder Matt /Yamato maybe...

Digimon Partners Official Twitter, (dm_partners on Twitter) is beginning a countdown for 0801’s Adventure PV 2k24!

Today, Koushiro and "Motimon" {Mochimon} are previewed! {This art originally revealed/shown Jul. 26th, 2k24 for 080124} What is interesting about this one is the art is clearly referenced from Adventure #24, but the scene is supposed to be showing the mains meeting their partners during the events of Ep. 01.

In my personal view, this is Fitting for Koushiro regardless. Before people claim this makes Koushiro "out of character", I'd like to point out Koushiro's genuine care and concern towards Mochimon above, even when Koushiro was very likely achy and waking up from passed-out condition in Adv 24.

Koushiro is showing compassion towards Mochimon in this "new"-old scene because Koushiro is and always was caring and compassionate, even if Koushiro doesn't always show it well at first. (+This is 5 whole episodes before we even learn Koushiro's backstory about Koushiro being CANON A D O P T E D.)

Personally, my favorite interactions between them was actually also from the (if condensed) official Novel version, (also written by Hiroyuki Kakudou and Koushiro's main script-writer, Hiro Masaki, who also contributed at least 1/3rd of the amount) and even there, by the time they began walking, Koushiro was actively asking Mochimon "all sorts" of "{Q U E S T I O N S}" about the Digital World and the true nature of those living there.
