The ancient merchant town of Kolomna in small details.

I think it was the last carefree winter of my life🤍 And I warmly recall the trip to Kolomna. Snow kept falling endlessly, the roads weren’t cleared because of the holidays, and from time to time, horse-drawn sleighs would pass by, offering rides to tourists. In the main square, they sold mulled wine made with white wine and kalachi (a type of bread baked in the shape of a kettlebell for easy carrying by hand). A woman and her son joined our tour and sang folk songs. It turned out she was from Arkhangelsk and sewed clothes in the style of pre-revolutionary Russia. There were plenty of New Year’s markets, and people were laughing and strolling through the streets.

Almost every house has a story, though every second one is in a deplorable state. Someday, they might disappear. They are already vanishing. Some take pride in tanks and guns, but for me, pride comes from timeless architecture and fascinating people who remember old songs, preserve family recipes, and create something new. To build and preserve is always more challenging🌱

Думаю, это была последняя беззаботная зима в моей жизни🤍 И я с большим теплом вспоминаю поездку в Коломну. Снег бесперерывно шёл, дороги не чистили из-за праздников, и иногда проезжали сани, запряжённые лошадьми, предлагая туристам прокатиться. На центральной площади продавали глинтвейн на белом вине и калачи (хлеб, выпекаемый в виде гири для удобного ношения в руке). С нами на экскурсию шла женщина с сыном и пела частушки. Как оказалось, она из Архангельска и шьёт одежду в стиле дореволюционной России. Много новогодних ярмарок, люди смеялись и гуляли.

Практически каждый дом с историей, хотя каждый второй — в плачевном состоянии. Когда-нибудь они могут исчезнуть. Они уже исчезают. Кто-то гордится танками и автоматами, а у меня гордость в душе рождают вековая архитектура и интересные люди, помнящие старинные песни, хранящие семейные рецепты и творящие что-то новое. Созидать и сохранять всегда сложнее🌱

The central balcony attracts attention with its intricate pattern of multicolored stones and mirrored elements.
