Headaches, in particular intense migraines used to be an everyday part of my life. Here are some great like you pressure points for neck pain. I used to experience neck pain constantly, between working as a therapist, working out in the gym with heavy weights, getting caught in nasty and it cranks on the mats, and sleeping incorrectly with my neck elevated too high, my body took a toll, (in particular my poor neck.) But then I learned to train smarter and not harder, stretched and exercised with proper techniques daily, educated myself on proper techniques and sleeping powder, and invested in lots and lots of acupressure books, lessons and courses. Lower back pain. This is probably the most common common problem that I see in my practice and in the clinic. It can be debilitating at times, trust me, I know bevause I jave been there myself with the pain. This is why I do what I do, to help take away people's pain and discomfort. And although there are so many different types of lower back pain, depending on the injuries, trauma, posture, alignment, spinal curves, etc.. here are some amazing general stretches and exercises for lower back pain. (If experiencing sciatica, ease into these stretches and exercises Slowly) And be very mindful as you turn or twist your body, most especially your lower back. My favorite one is the spinal twist (lumbar rotation stretch) on the floor or mat, and you can intensify that stretch by reaching and pulling your body over to the opposite in a gentle twist while grabbing the opposite foot with the hip that is up facing the ceiling. (Looks like a lop sided pretzel with one straight side) I always teach my clients to also do daily core work and ab exercises because, by strengthening the abdominal muscles, it really helps a lot with the lower back pain also. Adductor muscles, aka the groin muscles include: (*) adductor magnus (*) adductor longus (*) adductor brevis (*) pectineus (*) gracilis In addition, the sartorius is also responsible for multiple actions at the hip and knee, including assisting in adduction of the hip. They pull the legs together when they contract. They also help stabilize the hip joint. The adductors attach from the pelvis to the femur. Adductor muscles are important to stretch because this muscle group plays a big role in pelvic positioning, which in turn can affect the alignment of your spine. Because of this, one way to positively influence the flexibility of your low back is to release both inner and outer thigh muscles. Focusing on the inner muscles here on obviously since I have been asked about them by four clients this week and one old friend. I hope this helps you guys.
