Yooooo!!! That Snow fic you recently released involving the reader and Treech being in love? Absolute masterpiece! So hear me out: what if you wrote about their connection and how it progressed? Like, before Coryo got his clutches on the reader. There was a moment you described where Treech and the reader snuck out, I’m pretty sure. I’d love to see a story on that. Maybe end it with those dying words you mentioned? Just utter fluff with that heartbreak of an ending.
Capitol's love birds. / Treech
Tumblr media
summary : being Snow's twin meant being exactly like him, even though your appearances were slightly different. As a mentor yourself, you were assigned to District 7's male tribute, Treech. it was only in the wagon on its way to the Capitol that the chemistry first sparked, ultimately solidifying your status as the Capitol's favorite lovebirds.
ps ; english is not my native language, and I appreciate seeing your requests for ideas that I may not have thought of. Hopefully, you find the suggestions helpful. please refrain from plagiarizing my work without my permission or proper credit, as doing so may result in being flagged or banned. thank you.
Mentoring proved to be a challenging responsibility, but the greatest struggle arose when love entered the picture. However, this was no ordinary affection; it was a type of love that some might view as disgraceful, while others perceived it as a form of admiration amid the Games. Although Treech wasn't particularly interested in getting to know his mentor, let alone encountering them in another restricted enclosure, it was within those confines that the two of you crossed paths. Despite being Snow's twin traditionally constantly at his side, it was unquestionable that you, too, were destined to trail behind him to discover who your tribute was.
While taking pride in mentoring someone from a district not situated at the lowest rungs of Panem's hierarchy, you were fortunate enough to maintain a semblance of dignity, given the reputation of the district you represented for its familiarity with victory. However, Lucy Gray Baird's captivating performance, the talk of the town since the reaping, cast shadows of doubt over your confidence. All of this, while your brother engaged with fellow tributes, attempting his best to establish his temptation not to gith back.
You couldn't help but notice the stark class distinctions. Dust still clung to their attire, indicating a lack of access to basic amenities like showers before arriving. A twinge of sympathy crept in. "What's a pretty face doing here?" Reaper Ash remarked, catching you off guard. Initially assuming the comment was directed at Coriolanus, you soon realized it was aimed squarely at you. The revelation that you, too, were to become a mentor became apparent. And that the unspoken pressure to make a positive first impression on the fortunate second tribute who had the early opportunity to meet you loomed large. But Ash simply laughed at your brother’s reaction by ordering you stay behind him. Although poorly as his arm performed itself as a fence initiating to any tributes not to go further. "Relax, pretty boy. I won't touch her. Just asking for a friend, that's all."
That friend happened to be Treech, whose imposing silhouette positioned itself in front of you a little closer this time. His gaze had been fixed on you from the moment he laid eyes on you. While you initially attributed it to natural human interaction, the persistent feeling of being scrutinized lingered throughout. It seemed as if Treech was almost surprised or even deceived to have you as his mentor, likely influenced by how your brother had fared so far. "Looking for District 7." You mentioned exchanging quick glances with the tributes to assess who would be best with an axe.
As expected, your eyes landed on the red-headed girl who endeavored to present herself as the ideal candidate for you. "A boy." Your brother corrected, noticing as Lamina stood up, but Treech, adopting a protective stance, advised her to remain behind, much like your twin had done. After all it was a one-on-one game for the time being. "That must be my lucky one." Treech expressed sarcastically, stating it as a matter of fact, causing a subtle pink shade to color your cheeks – a reaction you tried hard to control. After all, it was your very first time you had seen someone outside the District ever. "You get to have the other pretty one." Ash teased playfully, suggesting that, despite Treech's charming demeanor, he was seemingly destined for a grim fate in the arena upon arrival. “I’m a little jealous.” Ash generously said.
Upon reaching the Capitol, you and your brother were taken aback as you discovered an unforeseen aspect of the tributes' journey. The initial understanding was that Flickerman, the Capitol's esteemed journalist, would be present to introduce each tribute upon their arrival. However, what they were unaware of was the presence of two mentors among the tributes, perhaps trespassing without official permission. This, however, was a matter for another time. Despite the somewhat unconventional transportation, Treech remained fixated on you throughout the journey to the Capitol. He seemed entranced by the striking resemblance between you and your brother, sparking a sense of compassion. Observing your interactions and the way you closely accompanied your brother, it was rumored that you were akin to his pet, only permitted to speak when approved by Coriolanus. Despite his disdain for the District, your brother demonstrated a surprising degree of protectiveness towards you, although in the midst of the situation, allowed  some space during the encounter with your tribute in an unexpected location.
Fortunately, your keen observation allowed you to realize that you were reaching your destination, a detail that eluded many, including Coryo himself. Swiftly grasping your twin’s arm, a gesture he had ensured, the sudden tilt of the wagon hinted at the possibility of your feet slipping and sliding. Treech's eyes widened at your momentary clumsiness, seizing the opportunity to support you. As your back met the uncomfortable mud of the Zoo, he was determined not to lose his mentee on the spot.
Cameras focused intently on both you and your brother, eliciting a crowd reaction filled with exclamations such as, "It's Snow's boy!" Swiftly, the onlookers noticed your presence next to your brother, who rose and asserted himself. There you stood, a captivating spectacle, with Treech's arm securing your waist and his unwavering gaze fixed on yours. A sly smirk played on his lips as the rest of the crowd declared your presence as well. "And look! The other Snow!" The citizens of the Capitol, already entranced by the presence of the twin siblings on their tributes' first day, began expressing confidence in your victory. This added an additional layer of challenge for the other mentors who were absent from this captivating spectacle. "It's your cue, princess."
"Princess" was the first word he used to address you. Ironically, it took you a moment to realize that all the cameras were focused on you. Your brother had already made his mark, keeping a careful eye to ensure your tribute didn't make any missteps, especially when it came to touching you. However, you were completely under Treech's influence. With a confident smile, he waved at the cameras, making it a bit easier for you to face the potential embarrassment later at home. "She's alright!" He assured, shifting his gaze quickly to your relieved brother. He could have sworn he saw a few Capitol ladies, with similar makeup to yours, watching in awe at how Treech gallantly assisted you. As he watched the scene unfold with Lucy and Snow not far away, he too decided to play the role of the Capitol's love bird.
As preparations for the 10th Hunger Games were underway, Flickerman's team mandated interviews with every tribute each year. From the very beginning, you managed to establish trust with Treech, a bond that proved beneficial. Not only did you ensure he was well-fed, but you also took the initiative to fetch Lamina additional food, given her mentor's apparent neglect. Treech appreciated the maternal role you assumed for Lamina. On one occasion, he confessed that he would go to great lengths for her, even if it meant risking his own life to secure her victory as the final tribute. It was all in the pursuit of making District 7 proud once again, for a Lumberjack always harbors a wealth of secrets up their sleeves.
During his time at the Zoo, Treech found increased joy in your company, particularly when you accompanied him for a quick visit to the arena. Following suit with other tributes, he decided to take the initiative in making the first move. It happened on that initial day when he casually attempted to hold your hand, his fingers gently intertwining with yours. You discreetly glanced at him, careful not to make it too obvious given the presence of the assigned tributes and their mentors. With Coriolanus behind you taking notice. Yet, observing Treech's attempts to connect with you, he sensed a deeper connection between the two of you. Realizing this, your elder sibling understood the need to strengthen his bond with Lucy. To Treech's delight, he could only imagine your brother envying a love that he would never receive in return.
With insider knowledge of the arena and sneaky routes into the Academy, Treech and you managed to slip away after the arena visit. Observing his interaction back with District 4's tribute and noticing his vigilance, a few teases were all it took to provoke Treech into throwing a punch, especially when faced with comments like. "Your girlfriend wouldn't mind if I speak with you?" While it was clear that others were aware of your connection, Treech dismissed it as a mere game, refusing to believe that it held any deeper significance. However, his sentiments towards you had sparked an unexpected depth of emotion within him. "Just a reminder." He sternly directed at the other tribute, his gaze darkening with offense. Spotting you behind him with Lamina by your side, Treech asserted. "You don't speak such filth about Y/N." The onlookers chuckled at his protectiveness and the evident depth of his emotions. "Or else?" They added, challenging anyone who dared to disrespect you.
"Or else, I won't hesitate to cut your head off with my axe. Watch yourself, because I can do it in the blink of an eye." With those words, Treech revealed what you truly meant to him. He could vividly recall Snow's concerned gaze as he tried to pull you away from the escalating situation. However, you had refused that day, meeting Treech's eyes the entire time after discussing the tributes he would be teamed with. "For Lamina's sake," You had pleaded, urging him to be cautious. "Those individuals only seek your vulnerability. They may be from District 4, but they don't understand the power of an axe." Was what Treech said reassuring you with a smile. A smile you’ll never forget.
In that very moment, you decided to take Treech with you for a clandestine escape from the arena. It was a day when even the tributes were granted the freedom to either stay at the arena for practice or wander under the watchful eyes of the Peacekeepers. However, Treech and you had a different agenda. You used the excuse of wanting to make his training more convenient as a cover. For some inexplicable reason, you had the approval of Dr. Gaul, who only instructed that Treech needed to return to the Zoo before midnight. It seemed that being Snow's twin had its perks after all.
Upon your arrival at the Academy's Greenhouse, both of you maintained a quiet atmosphere. This place held a special significance for you, offering tranquility during moments of anxiety or family pressure. Though it was suspected that you were in charge of the Greenhouse, under your grandmother's watchful eye and constant reminders to enjoy tending to flowers like she did, you chose to share this haven with Treech. It was the same place where you had once spoken briefly to him, and he was thrilled not only to spend time alone with you but also to witness the real person behind the facade of prestige and elegance showcased in public. Trying to ease the slight tension, Treech remarked. "You know, I'd be damned to see your brother's face if he were here." It was a fact that you were gradually opening up to someone. The type that was once a stranger and now someone to feel loved by. "Brother could care less; he has Lucy wrapped around his finger right now.” You added, acknowledging the complexities of your relationships within the family.
A smirk played across Treech's face, revealing his amusement at the thought of your brother feeling jealous. Although they were in similar positions, this time the connection between you and Treech was authentic, not just for show. Playful teasing began to permeate every event at the Academy, serving as a tactic to expose vulnerabilities in both of you. However, with Treech's mentor skills and the insights gained from your brother's tips, he honed his skills and strength, making it increasingly difficult for others to exploit weaknesses or gain his trust. "And would it be fair to say that I, too, have my little finger entirely wrapped around you, Princess?" He added, playfully reciprocating the banter.
His words caused a warm blush to spread across your cheeks, especially when he directed his attention toward you during wound care in practice. The worry in your eyes whenever he made a slight mistake was met with a reassuring thumbs-up and the smile you cherished. There were moments when it became challenging for him to stay focused, particularly when he saw you engaged in conversations with your other classmates. Despite the casual nature of those interactions, he couldn't resist the urge to draw your attention back to him. In response, you chuckled softly, suggesting a meeting on the rooftop of the Greenhouse to admire the stars. "Anything that involves being with you, I'll gladly say yes." He replied with a smile. “You know, I love when you blush more. Especially for me.”
Without uttering a word, you playfully dismissed his comment, rolling your eyes in a teasing manner. You extended your hand, a gesture he effortlessly accepted. "Show me the way, Princess." He said, and together, you ascended the stairs. Luck was on your side as you reached the rooftop just as the sun of the Capitol dipped below the horizon, signaling the arrival of dawn. The sky was clear, and the stars of Panem glittered above, creating a breathtaking scene just for the two of you. "Looks like I'm the lucky one." He marveled at the view. "Having a beautiful face to look at and a beautiful scenery to enjoy all to myself. I'd be damned not to win these Games and return home to a beautiful angel." He confessed, and this time, he genuinely meant every word.
On the other hand, you remained completely silent. Initially, you wanted to express your gratitude, but as the Games drew nearer, uncertainty crept in, even with Treech's skills. The looming uncertainty, especially regarding Lucy's well-being and Snow's single-minded pursuit of victory, left you unsure. Despite your love for your brother, his focus was solely on winning, regardless of the familial bond. Treech noticed the tension as the two of you sat next to the bench, and he tried to bring you closer. In an unexpected reaction, you flinched—a rare occurrence. "Hey—" Treech began, but he immediately noticed your slightly swollen face and your eyes fighting back tears. The man you loved had become, overnight, a complete stranger at best. "Look at me, Y/N." He pleaded, adopting a worried tone as you broke down in front of him. The situation must have been incredibly embarrassing for you.
"What's wrong?" His voice softened as he looked at you, tender care evident in his gaze. He took immense pride in having you as his partner during the Games and falling in love with the most exceptional mentors he could have ever asked for. He harbored concerns about the possibility of you crying over his lifeless body, should the worst come to pass. The thought of hearing you scream his name filled him with worry, although he made a concerted effort not to show it. His overarching plan was to make you proud and, above all, to be loved by you until his very last breath.
"Have you ever genuinely fallen in love?" Your question resonated with Treech. Of course, he loved you. You were an unexpected and, ironically, his first love. And so for you. The circumstances of your meeting might not have been ideal, but as long as he was with you, that's all that mattered. And if things worked in his favor, it was not just for him but for Lamina as well, given that she often regarded you as someone she could trust. "Like genuinely." You added, trying your best not to burst into laughter. Your tears didn't make it any easier, giving you a slightly maniacal tone.
“Of course, and that person is sitting right in front of me.” His eyes not taking his gaze from you. How he watched you loosing yourself entirely in the moment of a mere seconds. Your old habits resurging as you would try to numb the pain of your fingers by scratching the very last skin until it bled. To which Treech could not help to notice the moment he had met you. He grabbed your fingers, making you to stop it quickly as he began to peck every single fingers. “And I have made a promise to myself, that if I’d ever win. That we will be reunited together. Build a family, run away together. Be the lovebirds the Capitol wants us to be.”
A mixture of remorse and relief surged through you as you heard every word from Treech, assuring you that he would stay alive and well. If only you could muster the same confidence he exuded. Despite your attempts, he gently wiped away your tears, his fingers delicately holding your chin to meet his gaze. "You know, even if it's not the conventional way to confess one's love to another, I might be able to let myself do it." He said, leaning in to press his lips against yours. They were soft, just as you expected, carrying the comforting scent of wood he had kept upon his arrival—a reminder of home, a home with both you and Treech.
"I love you to the bottom of my heart. I know our first meetings weren't the best, but the way you cared for Lamina, and even showed care to me, proved something deeper. If we can continue doing that every night until the Games, I'll make sure you genuinely know that I love you." He confessed once the kiss broke. His words carried a weight that nearly brought tears to your eyes, holding you in place. The both of you chuckled at the irony of the situation, yet a newfound sense of confidence enveloped you—something you had never experienced before, especially as someone from a District.
"Man, I wish we could continue this, but I don't want you to get punished for bringing me here—" This time, you swiftly cut him off, recognizing that it wasn't the right time for such activities, especially just a few days before the Games. Instead, you proposed a deal—a deal he seemed to enjoy a little too much. Every time you had the chance to train with him, just before returning him to the Zoo, you would indulge in cuddling and sometimes reminisce about home. Occasionally, these encounters escalated into intense make-out sessions, leaving him with a desire to mark you visibly. The marks led to teasing from some classmates, making you blush, and occasional interventions from your brother. Despite casual warnings, Treech took pleasure in denying everything with a smirk that your brother despised. To add to his delight, that same night, Treech deepened the marks, leaving a lasting impression. Just to see Snow’s furious face once again.
Although this little pleasure was only going to last very soon, when the Games were officially commencing and you knew that. With you being at least able to say your final goodbyes to Treech, he could to feel your worrying about his situation. Cupping your face so delicately as a mention that everything was going to be alright. It was the last time that you also felt his lips brushing against yours. A kiss you would not forget so easily.
During the Games, you and the remaining mentors, alongside your brother, watched with stress and concern for the well-being of your tributes. While your eyes remained fixed on Treech, you also tried your best to ensure Lamina's safety. However, the situation took a dire turn when the poison finally affected Treech. Feeling helpless, you did everything in your power to find a remedy, attempting to prevent the symptoms from worsening and to make them last until only one tribute remained. "The poison!" You angrily tried to draw attention, tears welling up as you called out to your brother, who paid no heed. Seeing you suffer for the one you loved was what he had envisioned from the start. His pleasure lay in witnessing Treech's suffering on screen. "Please! Give him the medication!" You appealed to your District 7's female mentor, but it was too late. Treech's coughing worsened, and your eyes remained fixed on the screen. "Treech..." was all you could say.
Treech sensed that you were watching him, but whether it was with shame or grief, he couldn't discern. What he was certain of was seeing the expression on your face—a face that conveyed concern and a desperate desire to help. He knew that if the poison were to affect him, you would swiftly send the medication. However, it didn't happen, and he realized it was too late. Lucy had managed to escape, unlike him, who became the prisoner of an inevitable and senseless death. As he noticed the cameras focused on him, he understood that by now, you would be looking at him. "Y/N..." he began to cough in the middle of his sentence, capturing the attention of everyone in the room, including your brother. "I loved you since we met. Please, once I am gone, I want you to know that I genuinely loved and will always love you."
"No!!" Your voice wavered between tears, desperately trying to advocate for the medication option repeatedly. Cursing under your breath, you fought against Pliny Harrington, who did his best to restrain you. "Y/N..." he tried to console you, sensing the profound grief from everyone's tributes, including yours. What he failed to comprehend was the deep connection between you and Treech, destined to become the Capitol's favorite lovebirds. "It's too late..." His voice turned into a plea for you to stop. It was at that moment that your entire body went numb. In Pliny’s arms, you managed to sit down, and as Snow's victory loomed over you, you realized that your confidence was about to be completely overshadowed once again. You would become Snow's source of pride and victory.
A man you had once loved would forever reside in your heart. In the heart of District 7, you were revered for your role as a caretaker for both its female and male tribute. What you were not aware of was that, unlike Snow, you became the face of purity and trust—a bond between the District and the people of the Capitol. It was a paid respect for the Capitol's most famous lovebirds.

How can we practice water-saving and make a difference?
Water is a precious resource that is essential for life, yet our planet is facing a growing water crisis. As responsible individuals, it is our duty to practice water-saving techniques and contribute to the conservation of this valuable resource. In this blog post, we will explore practical tips and habits that can help us reduce water consumption in our daily lives and make a positive impact on the environment.
I. Understand Your Water Usage To effectively conserve water, it is crucial to assess our current water consumption and identify areas for improvement. Take a moment to evaluate your water usage patterns and look for opportunities to reduce waste. This self-awareness will lay the groundwork for implementing water-saving strategies.
II. Indoor Water-Saving Tips
Fixing leaks and dripping faucets A small leak may seem insignificant, but it can waste gallons of water over time. Promptly fix any leaks to prevent unnecessary water wastage.
Installing water-efficient fixtures and appliances Upgrade to water-saving toilets, faucets, and showerheads that are designed to minimize water usage without compromising performance.
Using a water-saving showerhead Opt for a low-flow showerhead to reduce water consumption during showers.
Shortening shower time Cutting a few minutes off your shower can save gallons of water. Time your showers and aim for efficiency.
Collecting and reusing water Set up rainwater harvesting systems to collect rainwater, and utilize it for tasks such as watering plants or washing dishes.
III. Outdoor Water-Saving Tips
Watering plants efficiently Water your plants early in the morning or late in the evening when evaporation is minimal. This ensures that the water reaches the roots instead of being lost to evaporation.
Installing a drip irrigation system Drip systems deliver water directly to plant roots, minimizing wastage through evaporation or runoff.
Mulching to retain moisture Apply a layer of mulch around plants to prevent water evaporation from the soil, keeping it moist for longer periods.
Minimizing lawn watering or switching to drought-resistant plants Consider reducing the frequency of watering your lawn or replacing it with drought-resistant grass or native plants that require less water.
Using a broom instead of a hose for cleaning outdoor areas Instead of using a hose to clean patios or driveways, grab a broom to save significant amounts of water.
IV. Changing Daily Habits
Turning off the tap when not in use Whether you’re brushing your teeth or washing dishes, turn off the tap when you don’t need running water.
Using the washing machine and dishwasher with full loads Wait until you have a full load before running these appliances to maximize water efficiency.
Letting clothes dry naturally Opt for air-drying clothes instead of using the dryer whenever possible to save energy and water.
Using a bucket for car washing Instead of using a hose, fill a bucket with water to wash your car. This simple change can save a significant amount of water.
V. Educating and Spreading Awareness
Teaching children about water conservation Instill good water-saving habits in children and educate them about the importance of water conservation from an early age.
Sharing tips with friends and family Spread the word about water-saving techniques and encourage your friends and family to adopt these practices.
Participating in community initiatives Engage in local water conservation initiatives, such as community gardens or river cleanups, to contribute to a larger cause.
VI. Be a Water-Saver, Not a Water-Waster
Making water-saving a lifestyle Incorporate these water-saving tips into your daily routine and elevate them to the status of habits.
Monitoring water usage and progress Track your water consumption and analyze improvements over time, staying motivated to continuously reduce water waste.
Encouraging others to join in Lead by example and inspire others to adopt water-saving practices by explaining the benefits and impact they can make.
Celebrating small victories and impact Recognize and celebrate each water-saving milestone, no matter how small, as every drop counts in the larger effort to conserve water.
By incorporating these water-saving practices into our daily lives, we can make a significant difference in conserving this vital resource. Let’s be mindful of our water consumption, adopt these tips, and encourage others to join in.
Remember, even small changes can have a powerful impact when multiplied across individuals and communities. Together, let’s create a water-wise future for ourselves and future generations. Join https://azoicwater.com/ and support a sustainable water structure.

The Cats of ThunderClan: Cloudpaw
Tumblr media
Name: Cloudpaw, Iliari
Identity: Cisgender Tom - He/Him
Orientation: Unconsidered
Rank: Apprentice - Guard
Former Rank(s): N/A
A mostly white tom with bright blue eyes and a cheeky grin. His hind legs, tail and ears are all brown and he has a few spots on his hindlegs. He's closest to his brother Elderkit and appreciates his uncle always being willing to play with him.
Cloudpaw is spoiled and somewhat self-centered. He's incredibly proud of his status and rank as both a prince of the Shining Sun and the apprentice of a deputy. He loves his clan and his clanmates but he's incredibly jealous of his blood sisters who he sees as living the Good Life without having to hunt, do stupid moss fetching quests or listen to the likes of Darkstripe or Runningwind, both of whom enjoy bossing him around.
Cloudpaw is anxious about living up to his uncle who - despite the mistakes that Darkstripe ensures no one forgets - is one of the more popular members of the clan and is steadily becoming popular with other clans too. When Cloudpaw is anxious, he's unable to focus and so he doesn't do anything which makes him more anxious, so he does even less until he falls into a feedback loop.
He puts on an act of disdain and carelessness to brush others off and is relieved to note that it works on most cats. He knows he's disappointing Fireheart with his behavior but he's steadily caring less and less about that particular consequence.
Mentor(s): Fireheart
Apprentice(s): N/A
Parents: Isaria (mother), Hiha (sire), Fireheart (uncle/adopt. father), Brindleface (foster mother)
Sibling(s): Elderpaw (adop. brother), Ashpaw (adop. brother), Fernpaw (adop. sister), Aslami (sister), Runna (sister)

okay first off your writing is SO GOOD!!!!!! but i was wondering, since in most of the works so far some of the other yiga are kinda mean, could we get sooga and/or kohga bonding with a newer recruit? like they’re having a rough time adjusting and it’s just tender and sweet
One, the yiga aren’t exactly mean. It’s levels. See, the foot soldiers are very kind and respectable to Sooga, for his status, and devotion to Kohga. The Blade masters are hard on Sooga because he was once one of them. As such, they’re VERY competitive with one another, and accept nothing less than perfection from one another. The Blade master’s aren’t bad guys, they’re just way more heavy handed. Trust me, if push came to shove, these guys would have Sooga’s back.
And two, there’s actually a mission in aoc that kiiinda has something in those lines. It’s where a yiga member misses home, so you give him veggies to remind him of home (think it gives Kohga an extra heart???), so let’s do it based of that guy!
“Rounds, once more! Let’s go!”
Whenever Sooga wasn’t serving Kohga, he was busy tending towards the soldiers' training. He was busy training the newest recruits, and it was quite a solid lineup so far. Quick, devoted, opportunistic. Just what the clan needed. All but one. The one who seemed to be the most distracted. He was the newest one of the pack, having just joined the clan yesterday. He was slow, he kept tripping over himself, he kept fumbling. It was odd, given the fact that just the day prior, he was near the front of the pack. He tripped up yet again in the course, unable to dodge the obstacles set before him. He was about to get up and try again, when he looked up to see Sooga peering over him.
“Not you. Get up, follow me. Rest of you, follow HIS orders!”
He left the newbies to his own second hand, a man who was close to being Master Kohga’s right hand (long story). The footsoldier stood up, following Sooga. He stayed close to his side, less he got lost in the maze of the base. He then stopped into one of the storage rooms, shutting the door behind them. He looked down at the meager creature before him, and he couldn’t help but scoff. He didn’t look down on him for being on the lower rung of the yiga ladder, but for the fact that he wasn’t giving everything he had to the clan.
“Explain yourself.”
“I don’t, uhm-”
“You will look at me in the face.”
“You mean mask?”
He chuckled, but when Sooga didn’t do the same, he shrunk a bit. He fiddled with his fingers, clearly nervous under such an intense gaze. He went silent. Sooga fought the urge to sigh.
“You are now a member of the Yiga clan. Therefore, your devotion must be unlimited, and unwavering. Unless you are injured, you give all your body has to the clan. Do you understand?”
He messed with his fingers again, and Sooga couldn’t help but notice just how young he was. But a boy, in Sooga’s eyes.
“I’m sorry. I know I said I wanted to join, and I’ve already sworn devotion to Kohga. But I just...I’m distracted.”
“Explain.”
The soldier hugged himself, clearly going into something uncomfortable.
“I...I dunno. I’m used to having a mom, and a dad, and my sister. I’m used to sitting down and having warm meals in my own bed, I miss playing with my friends. I miss my village, I miss the goats, the horses, even the cherry trees. I even missed being called by my own name, Alfo-”
“You do not speak your former name. You learn to look without a face, and to be silent, even when asking for help. You and your team must be in sync, and you could ruin it in your longing. Do you understand?”
He looked up at him, before nodding. Life in the yiga clan was not easy. He too, joined the clan, and felt the confusion. He too, yearned for his home way back when, and even now, he’d turn if he thought he heard someone speak his name. It was rough, especially at this young age. No one was to know of another member's past, aside from Sooga, but from what he gathered, his parents died, and his sister had gone missing. He needed resources, needed a place to stay as he searched for her. It was a noble dream, that much was certain. Sooga wanted to bark at him once more, before his heart seemed to recall what compassion was.
“Look. Perhaps you need independent training, until you grow comfortable with the other’s. I will train you myself.”
“Are you...serious? Really?”
The boy looked damn excited, but he stopped bouncing on his feet the second Sooga cleared his throat. This was going to take some work, it seemed, before this foot soldier could properly represent his clan. Still holding a chipper attitude however, he was sure to make the other aware of how important this offer meant to him.
“You will NOT regret this, Sooga! Not for one-”
He seemed to forget the door was closed, causing him to hit his face against the door, and swear under his breath. Sooga sighed. This was going to be a challenge, for certain.
-----------------------------------------------
“Good, good. Again.”
Sooga was surprised how effortless this suddenly seemed to be. The little one started their training with more rants of home, more longing for what was once his life. Sooga, instead of telling him to hush and focus, allowed him to rant. It improved his skills considerably. His feet danced across the floor, his dodge timing was perfect, and although Sooga blocked them, his attacks hit their marks every time. He even managed to dodge one of his attacks, which was rare on someone so low on the yiga clan ladder.
“Right!”
Armed with but a Vicious Sickle, the young one found himself standing toe to toe with Sooga, enough so, that when their weapons locked together, the boy didn’t immediately fall over from his massive weight. Course, Sooga eventually gained the under hand, shoving him, and forcing him to drop his weapon. He looked ready for backlash, cowering as he stood there, when Sooga nodded.
“Nicely done. You lasted far longer than most. Seems as though you just needed to clear your head, young one.”
He bounced a bit on his feet, picking up his weapon and spinning it in his hand, suddenly overflowing with confidence.
“Well I mean...I AM pretty strong when I put my mind to it. Never really got picked on during school. Pretty smart to, I’d sa-ow!”
Not paying attention, he nicked his finger with the blade. He dropped it again, putting his finger in his mouth. Sooga rolled his eyes, leaning down to pick it up, before putting it back in his hand.
“Another rule of the blade. Respect your weapon. It is meant to serve you, but it is useless without the same amount of care. It is a mutual respect. Do you understand?”
He nodded, taking the blade back from his hand, and tucking it back into his belt loop. The boy was young, dumb, and eager to prove himself to his elder. If that didn’t ring any bells. The boy seemed to be done with his finger, and he finally found his voice.
“So, what now? We gonna learn some of the poof stuff? I wanna teleport and stuff!”
“That takes displicine, and concentration. Two things you do not have yet. It’s also why you are not allowed on the field yet.”
“Which is not fair!”
He cried out, following Sooga as they made their way to the dining hall. Most of the clan was happy to survive on mainly bananas, but the boy looked none too interested.
“What’s the matter? You are not hungry?”
“No, I am. I just...I kinda missed the food back from home.”
Sooga scoffed. Figures. Sooga couldn’t blame the poor boy for dwelling so much in the past. Not everyone was like himself, longing to forget his old life.
“Let me guess. You want something like meat stuffed pumpkin.”
Sooga didn’t expect him to gasp, and nudge his arm, clearly excited.
“How did you know!? Can you read minds!? What number am I thinking of!?”
“No, it’s just predictable, given what you told me about your previous life. Bit of a ‘bumpkin’, as I’d put it.”
Sooga chuckled. Maybe it was the fact that he grew up with younger siblings, maybe it was his natural knack for being a caregiver. But regardless, Sooga found himself charmed by this little one, enough to at least not bark and tell him to eat what he was served. Oh, he was soft in the heart, just like Kohga said. Speaking of Kohga-
“Sooga, there you are! Been looking for you!”
The dining hall was abuzz from Master Kohga’s presence. Excitement that the young one hadn’t seemed to fully grasp, like some newbies. Before Kohga could continue, he pointed towards Sooga, as if accusing him of something.
“Did you know he could read minds?!”
Kohga cocked his head to the side, clearly confused.
“What? No he can’t. Love the guy, but he’s stupid.”
“Oh, can YOU read my mind then? What number am I thinking of?”
Kohga folded his arms over his chest, scoffing.
“Easy, 420.”
“....Is this yiga magic? I wanna learn that!!”
Kohga seemed to find him just as amusing, shaking his head.
“This one of the newbies, isn’t he? The one you said you wanted to train personally?”
“Yes, Master Kohga. While his mind races with frivolous things, he does in fact, have some skills. His reflexes are swift, as well as his feet, even amongst the foot soldiers.”
“Am I...skilled enough to get meat stuffed pumpkin?”
Kohga cocked his head to the side, and Sooga had to pull him into a bit of a side huddle.
“He misses his old home, Master Kohga. Not to mention, some variety in their diet COULD do some good in terms or morale.”
Kohga scoffed, arms folded.
“I like this kid, but you can’t sit there and tell me this kid is THAT special, Sooga. I’m not going all the way out there just so he can have special eats.”
“....Please?”
Kohga knew that look in his face. Sooga would NOT let this go, he could tell. He groaned, lightly shaking his head.
“Fine, just. Fine.”
The kid seemed to hear them, and whooped in celebration. Right before his excitement made someone fall over, and drop their bananas everywhere. Kohga sighed.
“I can’t believe I like this kid.”
“Neither can I, Master Kohga.”
They watched him scramble and try to pick everything up, before slipping on one of the peels, starting the mess all over again.
“We’re essentially adopting him, aren’t we?”
“Essentially, Master Kohga.”
“Oh well. Least I can call myself a dilf now.”

question: i have a relation who is both my cousin and my uncle (maternal cousin by blood, maternal uncle by official legal adoption). if this scenario were to take place in a chinese family (despite how unlikely it is to happen anywhere—it was a pretty weird set of events that made my grandparents officially adoping him necessary, rather than just becoming his legal guardians), which relationship would take precedence when referring to him?
This would never happen.
Even if there was a legal adoption that happens, they wouldn’t change relational status at all. I know in some families when the custody change the relationship also change; but look, I don’t work in social services, I don’t know exactly what happens, but like, I know people raised by their grandparents. Even if their parents aren’t in the picture, they don’t call their grandmother “mom” or their granddad “dad”.
So yeah this cousin, if they get adopted by your grandparent, it’s just a legal thing for the courts as in who has POA. Your cousin is still your cousin, and his grandmother is still his grandmother.
Bottom line: Chinese families typically follow generational relationship status pretty closely despite age.

When protests kicked off throughout the nation a week and a half ago, commentators turned to history to make sense of events. One year dominated the conversation: 1968. Racial tensions, clashes between police and protesters, a general sense of chaos — 1968 and 2020 seemed to have a lot in common. Observers wrote about how Trump’s use of “law and order” rhetoric echoed Richard Nixon and George Wallace in 1968. The comparison makes broader sense, too: 1968 was a destabilizing year in American politics, marked by Civil Rights protests, uprisings born out of racist oppression, assassinations, violence at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago (classified later as a “police riot”) and protests against the Vietnam War. Racial tensions and inequality were at the center of the instability that year, with the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. sparking uprisings in cities across the country.
But 1968 isn’t the only chapter in American history that’s relevant to the current crisis. America has a long history of racial injustice, which makes it difficult to isolate any one precedent for the current environment. History has a way of building on itself; the injustices of one generation are passed on to the next, even as incremental progress is made. This is why I want to share with you three other episodes that also help contextualize the moment we’re in now. They, like 1968 and the broader Civil Rights movement, highlight the depths of violence and injustice that black Americans have faced, and explain why everyday political processes have failed to bring about lasting systemic change.
1990s: National attention on police brutality spurs action … sort of
The early 1990s saw two connected developments that still shape the dynamics of policing in the U.S. First, in 1991, before there were cell phones everywhere, a witness in Los Angeles caught police officers beating Rodney King on a hand-held camcorder, and the video caught the nation’s attention. The four officers charged in the incident were acquitted, which sparked further national outrage, and some Los Angeles residents took to the streets, turning to violence and destruction of property. In total, the demonstrations lasted for five days.
The Rodney King episode is different in important ways from the protests happening now over George Floyd’s death, but there are still some similarities. Namely, it was a high-profile incident of police brutality that underscored just how differently police treat black Americans from white Americans. Additionally, a bystander’s video recording of the officers beating King brought the incident to national audiences, heightening a broad sense of injustice when the verdict was announced.
The fallout after the King verdict is worth considering in this moment. For one, some research shows that the event triggered lower public trust in the police in Los Angeles, especially among African Americans.
The role of the federal government is instructive here as well. In 1992, California Gov. Pete Wilson requested military assistance under the Insurrection Act of 1807, which Trump has suggested he might also invoke now. But LA’s ordeal also prompted federal change — Congress passed legislation allowing the Department of Justice to order reforms of police departments found to have engaged in misconduct. That ability has allowed the federal government to investigate police departments and root out poor practices. This oversight, however, has not been enough to prevent police killings, as we saw again with Floyd.
This provision was also part of a larger piece of anti-crime legislation — the now somewhat-infamous 1994 crime bill that helped create the mass incarceration crisis and forced recent Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden to confront their past stances on crime. The crime bill arguably helped to create some of the challenges today’s protesters are responding to. As sociologist Philip McHarris explained in The Washington Post, the bill “flooded black communities with police, helped states to build prisons and established harsher sentencing policies.” These policies not only helped to create the conditions for further police violence, but by expanding policing and incarceration in the U.S., they also helped to diminish the political power of many black communities through disenfranchisement and disengagement.
The point is that while focusing national attention on police brutality brought about needed change in some respects, reforms fall short when the system charged with implementing that change has racist origins.
Reconstruction: The federal government fails to protect black lives
After the American Civil War ended slavery in 1865, there was no road map for what Southern society would look like, but white Americans quickly adoped two major changes that harmed formerly enslaved people. First, Southern states passed laws restricting black citizens’ freedoms and essentially preserving the abuses of slavery. Second, violence against freed people living in those areas changed form but very much continued, and included the destruction of homes and churches, and sexual violence.
Particularly relevant to the current moment: Then-President Andrew Johnson allowed all this to happen. He failed to extend federal protection to the victims of the violence that Southern whites were engaging in, and, through his liberal use of pardons and lax loyalty requirements, he even allowed former Confederate leaders to find important roles in new state governments. These individuals, once in power, enacted oppressive measures. As historian Annette Gordon-Reed describes in her biography of Johnson, simple things like hunting and fishing became criminal activities for many black Americans, meaning they were increasingly dependent on their employers for their livelihoods.
Johnson’s decision to allow both state and non-state violence against southern blacks deeply shaped American racial politics. The laws states adopted in this period ultimately created the status quo that the civils rights movement of the 1960s pushed back against.
But this historical period is also a pivotal one in understanding race relations in America today as it highlights the lasting repercussions of morally bankrupts presidential judgment. As my colleague Perry Bacon and I wrote a few days ago, the events of the last few days — and years — suggest that Trump is not interested in using federal power to help those protesting racial injustice, and is, at best, indifferent to those goals. Experts have compared Johnson to Trump for years. History shows us that when federal leaders ignore racial injustice and violence — and certainly when they embody and enshrine it — that injustice and violence continues unabated, even if its form changes.
Early 1900s: Black Americans organized and met opposition at every turn
The power structure created after the Civil War led to a lynching crisis in the South (and elsewhere in the U.S.). Thousands of lives were lost in this brutal and inhumane system of vigilante justice — journalist Ida B. Wells, for instance, wrote extensively to document the violence of lynching and to spread awareness nationwide about what was happening.
But it is also in this dark chapter of American history that black American activists entered a new phase in organizing against systemic racism, using a variety of approaches. As political scientist Megan Ming Francis has written, this period gave birth to civil rights organizations like the NAACP, which pushed to change policy through Congress, the White House and the courts.
Those efforts made a real difference. Francis emphasizes the way in which black Americans organized and achieved these changes despite their exclusion from much of the political process and lack of traditional political power. These groups increased public awareness, improved legal standards and persuaded presidents to publicly denounce lynching.
The struggles of this movement, however, also illustrate how slow and frustrating it can be to work through official government channels. For instance, at the urging of these early civil rights activists, the House of Representatives passed an anti-lynching bill. But the bill died in the Senate after a filibuster, and no federal anti-lynching law was ever passed. (The latest anti-lynching bill was held up in the Senate as recently as June 4, 2020.) The American political system makes change difficult. In both Congress and the White House, Southern votes exerted a great deal of influence, and the opponents of an anti-lynching bill had both political power and the power of the status quo.
Every moment in history is distinct, and there are no perfect parallels for what’s happening in 2020. However, looking at other points in both the distant and recent past helps us see how deeply racial injustice is ingrained in the American system. The 1968 comparison can be helpful, but it also tempts us to frame the situation in terms of tranquility and unrest. But “tranquility” has been defined by those in power — almost always whites. Looking at other events helps answer some deeper questions about why people have taken to the streets to demand change and why protesters may be able to accomplish more faster by disrupting “normal” life. Because the system itself is part of the problem, politics, again and again, has set up the rules to make it difficult to pursue accountability and justice within the system.

Lol aren’t you that one homophobic bitch who doesn’t want gays to get married? Ya... ew fuck you man
Im not enemy of gays couples, if two Man love eschother they shuld have law to get a contract which define thier status as couple, but this cant be mariage. Because Main goal of mariage is a build a family, and two gays/lesb cant do this. Yes i know, some hetero dont want children/ cant have them because of medic issue, but still most of them build mariage on this goal. To be brutal fair, mariage of gays, dont have future. Any for gay couple, Any for human kind, because this cant make New generation of humans. Its waste as long gays couple cant adop children and teach them about heterosexuality.. So you See, if someone is gay and want be with another gay, i dont opose that. And i belive gays shuld have some Way to have official declaration of status as couple, but this cant be called mariage, by law of nature. Greetings

Pace Rosen for @ohsosims bc
recently moved to san myshuno where he lives with a roomate he found on craigslist
a strong believer in the supernatural
he even goes around saying that a supernatural encounter is what made him move towns and even is the true explanation to how he got that scar on his face
and maybe that’s how he really got it??? that’s something we ~~~MIGHT~~~ never know
he’s really ambitious, but he’s messy energy won’t let him focus on his goals
a good example of it are his series of unfinished documentary series (with titles such as “the power of the booty” and “the time i got scratched”) alongside with the dream of having these as a career path
he’s also not very good with titles, since “the power of the booty” is actually about body acceptance and the change to a more “healthy looking” status on body standarts throughout the years
that messy energy is not something that only gets in the way of his career goals, but also in his relationships
which is a bit tragic since he’s such a romantic at heart, but a f***boy when it comes to consistency
he really wants to try and achieve his goals and finding love was always one of them (like the true piscies he is)
and if not, “there’s at least chance for this booty to show its power in trying something and sticking to it”
his goofy side usually helps him and the others around him not kicking himself/themselves too much for things not working out the way he/they planned to (and maybe that’s one of the reasons why he can’t truly follow his goals)
so taking notice of his ways (100% not perfect, 20% trying his best, 99% wanting a change) he decided to invest on a big change entering for this bc
on a lighter tone:
hates what he calls “disney music” (hsm, jonas brothers, hannah montanna) but ~somehow~ knows the lyrics to every single song once a drink or two is going around
also he’s a terrible singer, doesn’t have a single talent related do music but is passionate about it. He’s always giving spotify playlists as birthday parties whenever he’s broke
never knew how much he loved cats ‘till he adoped this stray named Pingo
loves to cook. Not intricate recipes or anything like that, but to really give his all at the simpler things like pasta, salads and grilled cheese.
Download if chosen and all that

Apparently, Beautiful, and Best Friend: Very sweet, shy, tender hearted brindle boy in need of a soft voice and a quiet, structured home where he can feel safe, loved, and thrive. TIMON OLUNTEEP Id 67422, 4 Yrs., 38 petite lbs., Dreaming of a family of his own, at Manhattan ACc TO BE KILLED 8/27/19 From Shy to Social, Smiley Boy Timon Wants to find His Forever Home! ~ Timon is a tiny little guy with big bat ears and a gentle heart, who craves a loving & quiet home and a family to love. He was found in the streets and brought to the shelter by police, a teeny, tiny petite little man of only 38 lbs who was frightened after his experience and only wanted to feel safe and loved. But the shelter is no place for sensitive souls with tender hearts, and a bravery deficit, so TIMON didn’t find the quiet, calm, “safe space” he had hoped for. He’s so incredibly adorable with his big bat ears, his white socks and his gorgeous tiger brindle coat. Add to that his big smile, or the way he sits so straight and tall, trying to project a courage he doesn’t feel as he tries to negotiate the Brooklyn Center. The volunteers do their best to give him comfort, always taking time to talk to him in a soft voice, snuggling with him on a bench, softly petting him and telling him not to worry – it will be ok. But it won’t be ok if no one picks this beautiful sweet boy. He needs an experienced foster or adopter who can give him the quiet space he will need to find his rudder. Can you help this little man out? Message our page or email us at [email protected] for assistance fostering or adopting him now. A volunteer writes: Hakuna Matata is not Timon's moto but it could be if he gets to move in with you, as your forever best friend. Timon is a handsome lad whose face and moves light up as he distances himself from the care center. He strolls beautifully, does his business, sits on command and respects small critters and other dogs. I was surprised to see that the noises and crowding of the park did not bother him. He seemed to feel like home. Timon got lots of compliments from passerby's. He is a unique Boroughbred I said! Still everyone was trying to take a guess about his mix. Maybe you will too? Timon is shy but after a while spent with him, he will jump on a bench near his caretaker and accept caresses. There is love at first sight and love that comes with trust and time. Timon is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be his carefree self, in your hands! Volunteer Evelyne Cumps writes: Timon (67422) is a lightweight (37lbs) brindley 4 year old neutered male, a very elegant, healthy stray that was very shy upon arrival but opened up amazingly. He truly is a favorite of all here at the care center but for some reason has not caught the attention of the public. may be because he is such a quite mouse in his kennel. He is one pretty dog who could have some BT up his family tree. He was so shy in PG but now, he plays nicely with males and females in PG. he is a great walker, goes to the park, is fine with all its activities and noises, nears other pooches politely, sits, comes when called and is likely HT. His behavioral eval is level 3 as he was scared (although NEVER) aggressive upon arrival and for days. Staff, behav staff and vols have been working daily with him and Timon has really bloomed. He is waiting for his Pumba at the Manhattan Care Center! MY MOVIE: Timon, The Magnifique! https://youtu.be/ldDHl3QiJZo TIMON, ID# 67422, 4 yrs old, 38.6 lbs, Unaltered Male Manhattan ACC, Medium Mixed Breed, Brown Brindle / White Surrender Reason: Stray, brought by police Shelter Assessment Rating: NEW HOPE ONLY Medical Behavior Rating: BEHAVIOR NOTES Means of surrender (length of time in previous home): Stray Behavior toward strangers: A woman, living with dog, said he growls at her and snaps FOSTER BEHAVIOR NOTE Timon was with the foster and a 10 year old girl at the street came close to him, Timon jumped on her and scratched her. I don’t think that Sestra has appeared on this Tumblr yet. You can follow him @sestracat on Instagram, though, and this is how I introduced him on Twitter on the fifth morning after he arrived, and when we were still believing that we had adoped a spayed female based on what we were told and the the paperwork we were given.
Self-proclaimed lifelong dog person…
who, due to a variety of circumstances, has been without pets throughout his adulthood save for a one-year two-dog sitting gig when his children were younger…
has been preparing for an emptying nest with @lizgre…
goes out to adopt…
and returns with…
[image of a super thin-looking Sestra with his plush lime and lemon behond him]
I am as surprised as you are, dear reader. She’s very dog-like, though, and yet very much a cat. Has my heart too
She’s a rescue, found in a feral colony (ear was clipped there by animal control), but likely left there. One year old. Name still a WIP…
This feed probably won’t become a cat-pic feed, but you never know

And right before you solve what's really happening under everyone's noses, you disappear... ●   Master logic and dance skill
● Fabulously wealthy aspiration
●  paranoid, self absorbed, dance machine

This is not a post about feminism.
I have long been thinking about this and thought I'd finally crystallized it to make  an actual post about it. There is a dire need of a wee bit of psychological analysis of modern-day feministic trends and, more specifically, the actions women striving for empowerment engage in in order to bolden their masculine side. There is indeed nothing wrong with being able to express your opinion freely, wearing a suit or studying a science degree and being great at it as a woman. But it is not so much those fundamental human rights that's bothering the modern woman. It is her burning desire to postulate her masculinity by engaging in acts so emotionally toxic and ego-breeding that seem to be abolishing her feminine energy simply because they are so negatively masculine they would abolish the same energy with a man. I am talking about jumping to the extreme of not wanting to be helped with work or any sort of burden that you youself cannot carry, random sexual intercourse driven not by the desire to have fun but be liked, ignore your emotions and prove a status, getting offended at any sort of sexual generalisation as if it's the end of the world, etc, etc. As we all know, we should all express our feminine and masculine side as positively as possible. That is, being empathetic, actively giving and receieving, helping, simply caring (fem) as well as being direct, straightforward, active and brave to state an opinion (masc). However, the more we ignore our feminine side, the more toxic our masculinity gets which we can definitely observe as a trend nowadays: this is the way feminism is understood incorrectly. It should be  empowering, but it tricks women into overpowering themselves. Nothing works if it's overpowered. Neither a person, nor an engine. If anything, the overpowering strategies fems have adoped over the past few years not only undermine their positive feminine side, they undermine the masculinity they are so actively seeking to adopt. Because refusing help does not help you achieve results and is definitely not proactive. Jumping from partner to partner also weakens you and prevents you from developing a healthy self-esteem. Being overly judgemental towards others' opinions does not make you tolerant and standing for the right thing- it is refusing to engage with those opinions and actively seek the ultimate truth.

She is aether-sighted because of some experiments done to her when she was kidnapped as a child, which she keeps as a big secret of hers. Her glasses block out the aether.
Due to that incident - and her parents believing that the kidnapping was merely for ransom - it was announced that Vallencia al Sade died in that event. Ever since then, she has worked for her parents as secretary.
Although Vallencia does use some shady techniques to get her the contracts she wants, she has only started killing unwanted individuals after the first one being an accident.
She loves her squadron and Free Company dearly, but due to her workload in the al-company, she totally forgets about them all the time.
