Notes- To the Beach! GOM x fem!Reader
Return to File
Recovery date: May 10th, 2024
Description: hiii!! hope your having a good day, I was wondering if I could request GoM x reader (separately) with a maybe more quiet and shy reader when they go to the beach and see her in a bikini (maybe a bit suggestiveee but it’s up to you!) they can get a bit flustered and protective 😭 thank you so much and dw if you don’t/can’t complete it <3,
Notes: This work was recovered in conjunction with @smtere we thank them for their contributions. Hope you don't mind the headcanons, it was the easiest for so many people. This is meant to be post last game, probably summer of their 3rd year.
Back to directory
Akashi
Is the most outwardly chill about it
Though he does find his gaze drifting and lingering (Aomine got halfway through calling him out once before eating sand)
The first time he justifies it as admiring your swimsuit, every other time is just a whoopsie
He’s not weird about it though, and he tries his best not to stare
Makes sure you put on sunscreen/ cover up if he thinks you need it
Will complement how it looks on you
I did say “most outwardly chill” and I meant it
He may seem cool as a cucumber but if you hug him he will short circuit
He doesn’t get much affection on a normal day and while he is much more mature than his friends, I refuse to believe this boy is not fighting off indecent thoughts every so often
Build a sand castle with him please
Midorima
Flustered and can’t hide it
Dude is pink, and not from the sun
His gaze also drifts and lingers but he won’t even give himself a chance to admire you
You cannot convince me Takao has not corrupted him, at least a bit, he can’t look at you without hear Takao teasing him
Like Akashi he looks out for you if you’re prone to sunburn
Midorima isn’t weird about you wearing a bikini, he just makes it weird by actively avoiding looking anywhere but your face
He definitely relaxes throughout the day though
By the time you’re leaving he compliments you, having finally looked somewhere other than your face
He’s fine with whatever you want to do, might even begrudgingly let you bury him
Kise
The most chill, he has sisters so bikinis aren’t something overly suggestive to him
That said it’s you so it does make him a bit flustered
He is also the most obviously protective because as a model he’s very familiar with… lingering gazes, there will always be weirdos
Keeps a shirt on while on the beach, claiming he can’t afford to burn, but it's actually incase you want it for whatever reason
He definitely enjoys the extra contact though, whether that be an arm around your waist or offering to carry you on his back, Kise strikes me as a touchy person
If your swimsuit starts to come loose he’ll offer to fix it for you
Showers you in complements
Wants to collect shells and swim
Murasakibara
Could not give two shits
Kise was chill, Murisakibara just doesn’t care
He compliments the swim suit, and he definitely stares a bit but when he gets caught he apologizes and looks away
Won’t initiate physical contact but doesn’t mind it, feeling your skin brush against his when you hugged him did make him jump a bit though
I don’t really have much to say here because I really don’t think he’d care
Although he will confront anyone making you uncomfortable, his stature is more than enough to make most people back down
Wants to spend the day lounging on the beach, you might be able to convince him to come float with you
Aomine
If it was anyone but Aomine it would be weird
Shamelessly stares
You can call him out on it but he’ll just make a sound of acknowledgement and keep staring, unless you tell him he’s making you uncomfortable
He may be forward and unashamed but he’s not a complete ass
If someone else is making you uncomfortable or just keeps staring he will fight them, though he tries to avoid that
Asked Momoi for one of her towel jackets for you incase you wanted it, he almost regretted it when she started teasing him for being a softy
He compliments you, but it’s stuff like “your boobs look nice”
Will imply he’d like to see you “show off” more often
Also fairly touchy, like Kise, and will offer to help fix your swimsuit if needed
He will also throw you into the water, there is no escaping
Kuroko
Like Akashi he’s outwardly cool and inwardly panicking just a bit
He will try and fight anyone making you uncomfortable but Aomine and the others have to save him
Like Akashi and Midorima will keep an eye out if you’re prone to sunburn
Any physical contact you make with him will spook him just a bit
He’s close with Momoi, and we know she wears bikinis so I think like with Kise they aren’t anything suggestive to him
I don’t have much to say here either because Kuroko doesn’t really wear his heart on his sleeve, though he will linger a bit closer to you throughout the day
Complements your swimsuit
Prefers to spend the day reading on the beach

-:“You’re so oblivious to my feelings and I can’t stand it anymore” Oblivious x Pining prompts:-
(OK BUT THE LAST ONE????????TAG MEEEEEE IF YOU WRITE IT FUCKKKKK)
By @me-writes-prompts
Dropping subtle hints such as lingering touches and a bit too long of an eye contact, but the one doesn't seem to notice it at all.
Person C asking Person A if they are in love with Person B, but Person A having to deny because they aren't ready to face their feelings for them just yet.
"What the hell was back there?" "What?" "Why were you glaring at my date like you wanted to murder them?" "No, I wasn't." "Do not try to deny it, you clearly were." "...I-" "Why?" "No reason."
"You like them, don't you?" "I-...no. Possibly. Maybe. Fine, yes." "Hmm, why don't you tell them?" "I can't, I don't want to ruin what we have for what I wish to have. They wouldn't. They could never like me back like that."
"I wish you knew just how much I liked you, you idiot." They think as they console their friend who has gone through yet another break up.
"I...I'm not worth of their admiration, their love. They don't like me back, [name]." "I'm sure someone out their loves you, admires you, and wants to be with you. You are worth everything and do not let anyone else tell you otherwise." "Do you really think there is a person out there who would like me for who I am?" "Yes. They could be anywhere and everywhere. They could be in front of you. You just have to see them. Feel their love and devotion."
Person A and B going out to an amusement with the same matching outfit, and people keep asking if they are a couple to which Person A denies and says they are "just friends". Person B can't it, and decide to leave them.
^^"Why did you leave me like that back there?" "Because." "Because, what?" "Because, your dumbass can't figure out how much it hurts me when you say that we're "just friends." "Why...why would you be hurting?" "Because I like you! I have feelings for you, and you won't stop stomping on them." "Oh, I..."
"What was that idiot doing back there? Flirting with you like the world was ending, tch." "Huh, and why would you care of all people? I mean, it's not like we're together, right? Because you said it, quote unquote that 'We would never be anything more than friends. We're just really close and make out sometimes as friends. Nothing more, of course." *TAKES DEEP BREATHS* (sad music from a broken radio suddenly plays in the background while they stare at each other)

Happy Birthday
James Potter x Regulus Black
Being at the Potter’s was strange at first. It still is, but it was such a drastic change when Regulus was fourteen, to go from a house with people who wished he was dead to a home full of smiles and laughter.
The first time Euphemia climbed the stairs to wish him a good night, Regulus had a panic attack out of fear of being beaten. What had he done wrong so early on?
It’s gotten easier being around everyone. He turned twenty an hour ago, and he knows that the second he leaves his room, James will be there. He’s requested nothing for his birthday, but James will have something for him anyway.
His birthdays aren’t his favourite, but he views them differently here. He’s no longer a year closer to death— well, he is, but he doesn’t focus on that. It’s a day to spend with the love of his life. His brother, too, and Effie and Monty. It’s a happy day now, not something to dread.
He doesn’t remember his birthday’s at Grimmauld well. He remembers Sirius bringing him a cupcake every year, but that’s it. He figures it ended in a Crucio, but he can’t be sure anymore.
The door to his bedroom creaks open. James pokes his head in and smiles when he makes eye contact with Regulus, who has his back against his headboard. He steps in, holding a wrapped box in his hand, small and square. The door closes behind him with a soft click and James sits across from Regulus on the bed. He grips the box tightly but doesn’t hand it over.
“Did you sleep well?” he asks. James can sleep anywhere, really.
James inhales and tosses the box between his hands. “No, actually. Nerves.”
“Nerves?”
“Nerves.”
He passes over to box, wrapping paper slightly crinkled from the pressure of his fingers.
“Happy birthday, Reggie.”
Regulus can’t help the smile on his face as he unwraps the box. It’s soft and velvet, and his smile falls slightly. Is this what he thinks it is?
“Open it, love.”
He opens the box. Right in the middle is a ring. Silver, with three diamond gemstones across the top, embedded in the ring so they don’t protrude. Regulus barely has time to admire the ring before the box is plucked out of his hands. James is on one knee now, clearly nervous but doing his best not to show it.
“Reggie…”
“James…”
“I love you. I never thought I could love someone the way I love you. Even back when you couldn’t do anything but scowl at me, you still made my heart skip a beat. Believe it or not, I can pinpoint the exact moment I knew I would marry you. It was last year, when we were watching Harry. You sat with him on the couch the whole time, showing him pictures of all our friends. He would babble and you would respond to him as if he were an adult. I loved you long before that, but that was the moment I knew. I knew I was destined to spend the rest of my life with you, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. You’re my other half.”
Regulus isn’t crying. His mouth is open in shock. He didn’t think people could ever like him, let alone love him. James was the last person he expected, but it’s true— they’re each other’s other half.
James takes the ring out of the box and holds it up. “Regulus Arcturus Black, will you marry me?”
The only thing he can do is nod. He feels the ring slip onto his finger and then James’s lips are on his, passionate and soft. The door opens a second time, and Sirius walks in with Effie and Monty.
Monty hugs Regulus first. “We love you, son.”
Son.
“Two of my boys,” Effie gushes. “Engaged.”
My boys.
“You know,” Sirius says from the windowsill where he decided was the most comfortable, bypassing the bed and the chair and everything else. “I thought I was your other half, Jamie.”
“I can have multiple halves, Sirius,” says James. “Hold on, we’re you three eavesdropping?”
The three of them stay silent and avoid eye contact.
“There’s your answer,” Regulus says, wrapping his arms around James’s waist. His arms come around Regulus’s shoulders.
Regulus knows the feeling, now.
Home.

The Half-Blood Giant (23/51)
Chapter 23: Muscles
After Ray picked up Pedro from his first day of work, he escorted him over to the wall so the human could collect his personal effects—at least, the few things he had managed to salvage from his wrecked apartment. Pedro entered his sister’s apartment and started packing his things. His older sister, a tall, dark woman with long black hair, poked her head curiously into his temporary bedroom.
“Hey, Pedro! What’s going on? Why are you packing all your stuff?” she asked, eyebrows raised.
“I found a new place,” Pedro informed her.
“Already? Where?”
Pedro stopped, his back to her. He knew she wouldn’t be happy about the news. “Um... it’s just a temporary arrangement...” He took a deep breath. “I’m staying with a friend I met on the giant side of town.” He gulped.
She frowned. “No... you don’t mean... a giant?! After what happened? Pedro! You can’t go over there! Are you telling me you accepted the job over there too? Dios mío...”
“Yeah...” Pedro didn’t know what else to say, and he didn’t want to argue, so he swiftly shoved the rest of his things in his bag and tried to push past her. She braced herself in the doorframe and pressed her hands into his knobby shoulders.
“Look. I know you can be stubborn and a fool, so I won’t try to change your mind. Just... be careful, okay?” she implored.
Pedro nodded, reminded of the multitude of misadventures he already had under his belt. “I will.”
“And for crying out loud, get yourself a new phone so I can keep in contact with you!”
Pedro promised he would—since, after being trapped in a storm drain, he didn’t want to go anywhere without one—and rushed out before he could change his mind or let doubts crawl into his brain. He bought a cheap phone before heading back to the giant side of the wall. Ray had waited for him patiently the entire time. He was sitting on the bench and scrolling absently on his phone. At first, he didn’t notice the tiny man at his feet.
Pedro took the moment to quietly admire him, in all his vastness. Ray shifted slightly, making the wood of the bench and the metal bars creak under his tremendous weight. Pedro had an urge to climb up onto his shoe and scale him like a cliffside, to explore every inch of his colossal body. He figured, after getting kicked, his idea probably wasn’t the safest, when the giant was unaware of his presence.
He cleared his throat. Ray looked down and his face lit up. “Pedro! I was starting to wonder if you were coming back at all!” He bent over, extending out his enormous hand to the ground and laying it flat. Pedro clambered on and allowed himself to be lifted. His stomach flip-flopped when he saw how high up he was from the ground, but he trusted Ray not to drop him. Ray, sensing his nervousness, brought his hands together for additional support. Pedro relaxed in the cup of his palm as he was rocked back and forth by the giant’s bouncy strides. Before long, they were back at Ray’s house.
Ray was a bit shy and nervous about having Pedro stay at his house, but exhilarated too. He took Pedro into the living room and gingerly set him down on the couch. “Uh, I’ll be right back. I just need to change out of my uniform and get comfortable and whatnot...” He turned on the TV so Pedro wouldn’t be bored on his own and hurried off.
When he was out of sight, he briskly worked to clean up his house. He wasn’t expecting company, and since he was living the life of a bachelor, he had neglected to keep his living space tidy. He rounded up his dirty clothes scattered on the floor and tossed them in the hamper. He collected his used dishes and threw them in the dishwasher. Once he was satisfied that his effort was the best he could do in the short time he had, he went into his bedroom to strip off all his police equipment and uniform. He didn’t want to leave his little guest waiting for too long.
Pedro listened to Ray thundering through the kitchen and halls with curiosity. The giant was clumsy and noisy when he moved around, but Pedro considered him endearing. He surveyed the gargantuan living room with interest. While the furniture was plain and typical, there was one significant difference that stood out to Pedro. Ray had a modest home gym set up, with a weight bench and dumbbells that were likely heavier than a house. Pedro surmised he must be really into fitness.
Ray returned to the living room, and Pedro’s jaw dropped. Up until now, he had only seen Ray in his police uniform, which covered his body and limbs so he couldn’t see his frame underneath. The giant was built like an ox, with massive thick muscles in his arms and legs that bulged through his shorts and tank top. He had prominent pecs and a rounded belly that strained against his shirt, the product of too many donuts and cinnamon rolls despite his strength exercises. He was hairy too: A forest of black hair sprouted from his limbs and poked out of his tank top from his barrel chest. Pedro had to wipe the drool from his chin. Good God, Ray was hot.
“What is it?” Ray asked, confused by Pedro’s expression.
Pedro shook his head. “N-nothing,” he stammered.
“I hope you don’t mind, but I usually exercise after work,” Ray admitted, rubbing his neck.
“Not at all. I don’t want to interfere. Do your thing,” Pedro managed to utter. He then had the sublime pleasure of watching Ray stretch, his corded limbs unfolding with impressive form. Pedro squirmed in his seat as the giant moved with purpose into dramatic poses, towering over him. He was getting hard just watching.
Ray picked up one of the massive weights with incomprehensible strength and began to do bicep curls. Pedro couldn’t peel his eyes away from the spectacle. He couldn’t even pretend he was watching the TV. As Ray fell into his routine, he increased the weight he was lifting until he was utilizing his maximum strength. His muscles and veins swelled with blood from the exertion, making him look even bigger than before. His body radiated heat and sweat and grunts. As he got into the zone, becoming more focused with a laser intensity on his workout, he forgot he was being watched.
Pedro gaped. He was going mad with hot lust. His heart palpitated and his breaths couldn’t stay in his lungs. Oh, the things he wanted to do to this giant man: unspeakable, dirty, spicy things! He couldn’t believe what he was seeing was real, that the mass of flesh, muscle, and raw man stretching hundreds of feet above him wasn’t a phantasm of his wild imagination. Maybe that giant shoe to the chest had actually killed him, and he had died and gone to heaven. If that were the case, Pedro couldn’t complain. He had met his god.
Ray worked out until he was exhausted, dropping his weights to the ground with a seismic crash. He grabbed a clean towel and wiped down his damp black hair and face, bathed in sweat. He didn’t want to get his body fluids all over his couch, so he flopped down on the floor and leaned against it, shaking the earth beneath him. Pedro bounced on the couch cushion with the vibrations. Ray’s huge, flushed, moist face was close, temptingly close. The natural scent of his body was potent, his aura overpowering. Pedro wanted to rub himself against his face, kiss him, unleash his animal passion on him. He struggled to rein in his urges.
“Wow, that was amazing,” he gasped, talking more to himself than to Ray.
“Hm? What?” Ray asked, clueless. He turned his head to look at Pedro, and the tiny man nearly fainted under the gaze of those beautiful blue eyes. Ray was too handsome, too shapely, too perfect to be real. Pedro felt inadequate before this deity of a man.
“Um...” Pedro was at a loss for words.
Fortunately, Ray thought perhaps he had just misheard the human. The giant reddened slightly, suddenly self-conscious of how sweaty and smelly he must be. “I need to go take a shower,” he announced, jumping to his feet with a force that almost knocked Pedro flat on his back. “I’ll be right back.”
Pedro played around with his new phone while he waited for Ray. The giant showered, dressed, and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. By now, his stomach was grumbling, and he needed to feed his little guest too. He wasn’t sure what he could make for a human to eat: something soft, perhaps? He boiled some potatoes to mash them up. He cooked chicken for the main dish. He seemed to recall Joey saying that he made chicken for Eren a lot. He might have to ask Joey for recipes.
He rejoined Pedro in the living room and they ate dinner together. Ray thought Pedro looked adorable, sitting on a giant dinner plate munching on mashed potatoes with his hands. He apologized for not having human-sized plates and silverware, but Pedro was cheery and didn’t mind in the least. For some reason, Ray imagined dumping gravy on Pedro and mixing him up in the mashed potatoes. Why did he think of that? He swallowed a mouthful of chicken and pushed the intrusive thought out of his mind. What was wrong with him? He’d never thought things like that before around humans. The mental images disturbed him.
Both Ray and Pedro were tired, so Ray prepared a sleeping space for Pedro, as best as he could manage. He set a pillow on the floor of the living room, with a scrap of cloth for a blanket. He didn’t want to leave Pedro on the couch, since the human would have no way of getting down. He wanted to tuck Pedro in and kiss him goodnight, but he held back. He retired to his own bedroom and laid down.
Despite his fatigue, Ray stayed awake for a while, staring up at the shadows crawling over the ceiling as cars drove past his house. He was experiencing feelings in his heart that he hadn’t encountered in a long time. He wanted to hold Pedro up against his body and keep him safe. He wanted to love again. He suspected, from how Pedro looked at him, that he felt the same way. He hoped so.
He eventually nodded off, with dreams as light and fluffy as clouds. He woke up early, bathed in the deep blue of pre-dawn. Ray got up and dressed in his workout clothes again. He tried to move quietly as he exited his bedroom and checked on Pedro. The cute little human was fast asleep, sprawled out on his back and snoring. Ray smiled and left the house for his usual morning jog. When he returned, Pedro was awake, with that same silly expression of wonder he always seemed to have plastered on his face.
“Wow, you really do work out a lot, don’t you?” Pedro remarked.
“Yeah, it’s just a hobby of mine that I enjoy,” Ray answered after chugging a big swig of water. “If I didn’t have a love for sweet things, I probably would be more toned.” He laughed and slapped his substantial belly, which quivered like jello. “I’m going to have to shower again.” He turned to leave, but Pedro stopped him.
“Wait, I need to get cleaned up too,” he pointed out. Ray picked up the little guy in his hand, carried him over to the sink, and filled it up with warm water for a bath, just like he did yesterday. Ray left to give him some privacy. Pedro was bold, and almost called him back to tell him he didn’t have to go, but the words caught in his throat. He thought about how puny and unimpressive he must look to the giant. Ray, with his handsome, muscular body, like a mighty statue sculpted from the finest marble, and all the more majestic with his grand size, was the sexiest man he had ever laid eyes on. What could Pedro possibly have to offer this gigantic Adonis? He was unworthy and inadequate, with his squiggly little limbs and short stature. He was nothing compared to him. He soaked in his bath with melancholy.
Ray noticed Pedro seemed dejected out of the blue, but he didn’t know why. Maybe he was nervous about going to work? Ray gave him words of encouragement and offered to make Pedro some breakfast, but the human politely declined. He cheered up somewhat when Ray carried him to the school. Ray set him down on the floor in front of his office and bid him adieu. He strolled off to the police station to start his day, but his mind was on Pedro, to the point where he couldn’t even focus on the morning meeting. He was on autopilot as he joined Joey in the police cruiser. Joey drove around town, waiting for a call, with Ray deep in thought.
“Hello? Ray? Earth to Ray?” Joey interrupted his thoughts, waving his hand in front of his face. “You haven’t responded or said a word to me all morning! What’s going on with you?”
“Oh, uh, just tired,” Ray lied, rubbing his forehead.
“Well, no wonder! You didn’t have your usual coffee or donuts this morning!”
Ray looked down and self-consciously jiggled his gut a bit with his hands. “Maybe I should lay off for a while.”
Joey let out an exaggerated gasp. “Ray! Are you going on a diet? You, of all people? I refuse to believe it! What’s gotten into you?” he teased with a smirk.
“I dunno. Maybe.” Ray shrugged.
A mischievous grin split open Joey’s face. “I know what’s gotten into you.” He playfully punched Ray’s shoulder. “Somebody’s got a little crush!”
Ray’s cheeks blistered, but he couldn’t stop a smile from creeping over his lips as he thought about Pedro. “Is it that obvious?”
“I know you all too well, Ray. I can read you like a book. Though, you’re more of a picture book than a novel,” Joey jested as he pushed up his glasses. “Now, there’s some things you should know about dating a human. I’ll tell you all about it. Give you ‘the talk.’” He laughed.
Ray listened with interest as Joey prattled on about his relationship with Eren. He had questions, after all, about how to make a human more comfortable in his home. Joey and Ray were good buddies, so Joey wasn’t as shy about sharing some of the more intimate details, enough to make Ray turn pink a few times as he imagined doing certain... things to Pedro. Ray drained of color, however, when Joey described his recent adventure of eating Eren willingly for the first time. His own experience of swallowing a human unaware was still fresh in his mind.
“Wait, you did that to Eren?!” Ray choked incredulously.
“Yeah. She wanted it, believe it or not,” Joey elaborated. “And I found... um... having a human inside your stomach, it’s actually very... intimate. Sexually stimulating, even.” His chocolate eyes became distant and dreamy. “It was a new experience for me, that’s for sure. But I had been fantasizing about it for a while, ever since I first had a taste of eating her.” His face twisted up a bit at the memory of Trent, but he recovered quickly. “I don’t know, I guess it’s a primal hunger that develops after you’ve eaten or tasted a human for the first time. But it’s a form of intimacy that is unique, since you wouldn’t be able to do that with a giant or giantess.”
“That makes sense.” Ray had a moment of revelation. He had ingested a human. She was delicious, better than any donut or snack. And now... he wanted more. He thought about sweet, innocent Pedro and felt a little sick inside. What would Pedro think of this newfound desire?

𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 Jace had feared such affections like these, the ones that beat in time with the rhythm of his own heartbeat. It seemed that Lindsay had become one with him now, something that he found both beautiful and terrifying all at once. Should the emotions he feel on deaf ears or ones that wish not to listen to him at all.. it would swallow him alive. People rarely remember things about him when his own mind is overrun with knowledge that in ten years couple possibly be useless. Irises. Lillies. He remembered. He remembered, and there was a glint in his eye that told Jace one thing and one thing only: he and Lindsay were fated to never just be friends. Many had tried to break down the walls that contained him, but it appeared that Lindsay had managed to do so without making any sort of effort. Lips purse in thought as his eyes try to find a place to settle that don’t give away the facade he has been fighting to conceal. A hill at this point, he’d be willing to die on.
Of course Jace can’t help but laugh at Lindsay’s words. “Okay.. I know, I know. Not exactly setting the greatest first impression, but guess what? I’ve been told the exhibit is going to be incredible. So.. the conversations will be worth it.” A hand comes to rest on the other’s shoulder, feeling the spark that threatens to ignite the moment his hand makes contact. Finally he dares to make eye contact with the other and the spark in his heart becomes a flame. He wondered if the flames might engulf him one day. He had spent so long fighting it, trying to quell the flames – trying to put them out however he could. But a man could only be so strong for so long. So strong, before he was bound to break.
“Thank you.. but I gotta give you some credit here.” His face flushes as his eyes look down at his polished shoes for a mere moment. Ever since he finally had the courage to look Lindsay in the eye, he doesn’t know if he’s able to find his gaze traveling anywhere else. “You remembered.” He can’t fight it anymore. Whatever happens next is out of his control, the desperation crawling up the concave of his throat. After you. Lindsay says the words with a sense of casual obliviousness, not knowing the storm that was raging beneath the surface. He goes to follow, once again planning on pretending that everything is fine, repeating the same mantra that he always does that is coated in lies and sweet falsehoods. Falsehoods that are slowly beginning to become bitter. He needs to let go, before it kills him.
“Don’t hate me, okay?” These are the only words that he can say before his fingers interlock with his before tugging him back in his direction. The free hand comes to rest against his cheek as for one last time, he looks upon the before of the two of them – knowing that the moment he pulls away, he will be facing the after. He will have to face the aftermath of his actions but right now, for the first time in his life, he doesn’t fucking care. And then he crashes into him, closes the space that was becoming heavy the longer he held him. Done what he had seen himself doing in dreams, waking and asleep.
When he finally pulls away, he can hear his heartbeat in his ears. It’s erratic. Overwhelming. “..Please.” He’s finally able to say, a word that comes out almost like a strangled whimper. “Please don’t hate me. I’ve been wanting to do that longer than you know.”
if lindsay seems in a hurry for the pair of them to get out the door and on their way to the exhibit, it’s only because he’s managed to convince himself that as long as he remains in motion, jace is less likely to notice the way the simplest of touches has warmth creeping like clematis vines past his collar and toward his throat ― how he’s blushing over a hand on his shoulder like a teenage boy. his hand is strong, lindsay thinks, but careful, gentle ; he knows, because he’s admired said hands on countless occasions, doodled them, even, in the margins of his sketchbook... he pushes away the thought as it threatens the fierceness of a flush in already rosy cheeks.
a bashful shake of his head serves as a lame attempt at dismissing jace’s words ― he doesn’t want credit, not at all. in truth, he’s not sure he’d know how to take it even if he did, particularly from someone he’s come to hold in such high regard. no, jace is deserving of all the credit here ; he looks positively stunning all on his own, a fucking vision, and as much would remain unquestionably true regardless of lindsay or his flowers. he looks beautiful. he is beautiful. fuck. suddenly lindsay’s suit is uncomfortably warm and he’s too aware of every seam and button in his shirt, and he can tell he’s getting flustered, wonders if it’s enough that jace has noticed. ye cannae make a fool of yerself this early into the night, lindsay, christ.
❝ of course i remembered, ❞ lindsay admits quickly, and for as nervous as he’s been leading up until now ― as nervous as he still is ― there’s a certain sureness to the words, a confidence belied by a softer tone. his gaze lingers on jace then, for a moment longer, even as his heart stutters in his chest and hands fidget anxiously at his sides ; he looks at jace, because he wants him to really hear what he’s saying, to know that he means it when he does. ❝ ye said it was yer favorite. i’m not going to forget that. ❞ he says it earnestly, and then, as if compelled to soften the sentimental blow he’s just given, ❝ i’m probably not gonna remember your sixteenth favorite flower, of course, or your twenty-seventh... ❞ and, okay, maybe that’s not entirely true either, but jace has never offered him a comprehensive list of his preferences to base any sort of assumption on. he does have a pretty decent memory, though. ( especially when it comes to jace. )
when jace doesn’t make the first move toward the car, lindsay starts for the street ; he’s not trying to appear antsy, it’s only that he’s fashioned himself a reality in his head where he’s far less likely to keep making a bumbling fool of himself if there are plenty of other visual distractions to keep his company occupied, so he’s less inclined to keep standing on his doorstep, much as he appreciates the close proximity it offers him to jace... close enough to just catch his cologne and ― lindsay, no. don’t. the gardener tries to stay focused, but he only manages to stray a few steps from his home when he’s stopped in his tracks by four simple words: don’t hate me, okay ? if he thought his heart was racing before, surely it’s about to burst right out of his chest now. what does that even mean ? why would lindsay ever have reason to hate him ? was this ― was this it ? oh christ, was jace finally about to tell him that he’d come to his senses, that ― that he’d noticed lindsay was being weird, and ― fuck!
but then there’s a hand curling into his before he’s even fully turned around, interrupting his torrential whirlwind of worries and pulling him back ― both literally and figuratively ― until he’s face to face with jace once more. and when jace reaches up to cup his cheek, lindsay’s only vaguely aware of the gesture, too caught up in trying to remember how to breathe but it’s difficult because jace is so close and there’s just something about the way he’s looking at lindsay, the way he leans in ― and look, lindsay’s watched enough rom-coms to know exactly where this moment is going, for once he actually knows, but that hardly makes him any more prepared for when it happens.
and then it happens. when jace’s lips finally collide with his, it feels like a collision lifetimes in the making ; he loses himself in it for a moment, his own hands finding jace’s neck, his waist to keep himself tethered to reality as eyes close and lindsay kisses him back like he’s never wanted anything more in his life. ( to be fair, he’s not sure if he ever has. ) it’s as if the entire world begins to fade away around them ― under normal circumstances, the shy, sheepish gardener might worry whose eye he’s drawn with such a romantic spectacle, how many judgmental gazes linger on him now, damning such a dramatic display of pure affection. but lindsay can’t be bothered to care, truly, because the man of his dreams is kissing him, and he’s not sure there’s a single thought that could sound louder in his head. it’s louder than his parents’ disapproval, louder than his catholic guilt or his internalized anxiety, and for a moment, it’s the only thing he can think. and for that moment, he’s sure he’s never felt happier.
lindsay doesn’t mean to laugh when jace pulls back, really ― it’s a sensitive moment for the both of them, and the last thing he wants is for jace to feel self-conscious ― but he can’t help it. ❝ lucky for both of us, i don’t think i’ve got the capacity to hate you no matter what you do, ❞ he admits, and his voice is softer now, still lilted by gentle laughter, ❝ but for that specifically ? well, i’d wager i’ve been wanting for it just as long, i’m just ― i reckon i’ve just been a bit cowardly about it all. ❞ a pause, and lindsay’s hands move to find jace’s and hold them in his own, gaze earnest and lips still parted and twitching upward at the corners. ❝ i really like ye, jace ― so much so that it scares me at times, in fact ― but i ― well, i think i’d rather like to do that again. ❞

SHINSOU HITOSHI
two years after his enrollment into the hero course, shinsou had finally came to terms with the feelings he’s been holding for you for quite some time now.
what began as just friendly encounters and kind gestures felt like something more to him. after all, you were one of the key people that led him to transition smoothly into the class, with your helpful demeanor and coming to his aid whenever he was stressed and troubled by the new environment.
you went out of your way to organize study sessions and small arrangements to mingle and get to know the other students better.
you reiterated to him that if he ever had any questions about anything, he could always come to you.
initially, shinsou thought he was being a burden—that he was just heavy baggage that tied you down.
however, you assured he was anything but, and stated that you were more than happy to help him, even going to say you enjoyed spending time and getting to learn more about him.
at your response, shinsou was appalled at how genuine you were.
appalled… but also very grateful.
eventually, there came a point when he realized there was no mistaking the affection he felt for you—not when he subconsciously noted every one of your habits and intricacies, able to tell whatever emotions were running through you at a simple glance, or when he would stop to admire the way you decided to style your hair differently or changed your look, thinking you seemed even more charming that day by the confidence you exude.
no, at that point, he’s sure it was painfully obvious. so obvious, in fact, that kaminari and mina had chosen to skip today’s group study session in favor of letting the two of you have your “alone time”. whatever that could mean.
shinsou had grimaced over their excuse of “being too busy that day” when you had told him the reasoning they gave you over text, despite knowing their next exam was only a couple days away. recalling just how nosy and enthusiastic they could get when involved in these kinds of affairs, he had an inkling of what exactly those two were planning. you, on the other hand, seemed completely oblivious to their schemes.
however, what did latch onto your mind was the thought of spending the day with only shinsou, in his very room, sitting across from each other with your textbooks open in front of you. though you should be more attentive to your studies, you couldn’t help the palpitations beating loudly in your chest and your wandering eyes that snuck glances at him after every question you answered.
unbeknownst to you, shinsou mirrored your actions all the same, reciprocating the flustered behavior, albeit a bit more subtly.
keep calm, hitoshi. why are you getting all worked up? he would say to himself, putting on his usual facade.
although he came off as relatively calm and collected on the outside, it’s difficult to keep his emotions in check when actions never lie.
that was especially true as he reached his hand out for the eraser you two were sharing between each other. with his eyes continuing to gander down at his notes, he hadn’t noticed that you were lunging for the same thing—not until your fingers had suddenly touched and you both pulled away at a speed equivalent to making contact with fire.
his stare unfaltering, shinsou was surprised to discern the embarrassed look on your face that immediately fixed itself as you rummaged through your pencil pouch. a second later, you pulled out another eraser, one that was notably smaller than the one you were sharing.
“um.. i’ll just use this,” you offered, and shinsou rubbed the back of his neck, the whole situation more awkward than it needed to be considering you never had any trouble sharing your supplies with each other before.
through some examination of your demeanor, shinsou had made a… bold enough claim, thinking that maybe—just maybe—you held the same kind of affections for him as he did for you.
it’s like he recalled earlier—actions never lie—and shinsou didn’t let the quiver of your lips or the intense concentration at your work to avoid meeting his gaze go past his head. that’s what spurred him to finally act on his desires.
without warning, he leaned forward on his seat to lay his hand over yours that caught your attention. you met his eyes, astonished to say the least, but more so concerned by how your eyes widened before you were about to open your mouth to ask him what was wrong.
the violet-haired male beats you to your words, voice resonating firmly, “y/n.”
you blinked. “y-yeah..?”
“i know this might be a bit late coming from me, but,” you could feel his hand tighten atop yours, “after exams, do you want to catch a movie together? just the two of us?”
shinsou fought the urge to look away, bashful at how he made his declaration for your time. the warmth surging under his skin was alleviated at the smile that slowly curled on your lips as you rotate your wrist, your palm touching his. the expression washing over your features told him you’ve been waiting for him to ask you this for a while now.
“i’d love to.”
AMAJIKI TAMAKI
ever a shy and introverted individual, tamaki has never had the heart to ask you out despite years of harboring a crush on you.
every time the thought had crossed his mind, he’d reason poorly with himself that you wouldn’t be interested in him in that way.
it didn’t help that his low self-esteem only deepened that thought that had now rooted itself in his brain.
at such a prestigious school like u.a., you were bound to find someone far more compelling than him—someone with guts, confidence, and great social skills. not a guy like him who conjures the image of potatoes at every anxiety-inducing encounter he comes across.
he was relieved enough to settle himself comfortably as just your friend—a title that allowed him to stay close and keep within your circle, all the while subjecting him to simply admiring you from afar.
but his eyes that held a hidden longing for more weren’t overlooked by a fellow student of his. or to be precise, the ever curious and free-spirited, hadou nejire.
always aware of his surroundings, it was hard not to notice that peculiar stare she’d aim at him during moments where he might’ve just finished speaking to you, or when you’d pass by and his head would naturally drift in your direction.
it was like she was picking apart every detail laid on him and it made tamaki absolutely restless.
tamaki’s suspicions and anxiety were later raised during one instance at the lunch table. he was at his usual seat next to his other big three companions, mirio and the aforementioned nejire, who was eyeing him with a gleam in her eye.
even with his self-consciousness, tamaki did his best not to pay any mind to the undesired attention and munched on his plate of takoyaki—the octopus nestled in the batter sure to come in handy later in training that day.
to his dismay, you passed by their table with your tray of food in hand, and nejire did not waste any time calling you over in that cheery tone of hers.
she invited you to sit down with them. you gave her invitation some thought before ultimately placing yourself in the free spot next to mirio, with nejire and tamaki already seated across from you.
the girl was all smiles and hums while tamaki was in a state of distress, both at his friend’s odd behavior, which was starting to spell trouble, to having you pulled into all of this. mirio was just being mirio, welcoming as always.
you greeted everyone at the table, making eye contact with mirio and nejire, but tamaki evaded your line of sight. he simply waved his reply without breaking away from his balls of takoyaki.
luckily for him, you didn’t give his lack of words much thought and started digging into your own lunch. it was then that nejire found it appropriate to start up a conversation.
“y’know, y/n, i’ve been meaning to ask you this, from one girl to another,” she mused, finger waving around playfully, “are you interested in anyone here?”
upon hearing her question, tamaki almost choked on his bonito flakes, his cheeks puffed and eyes blown. meanwhile, your chewing slowed as you gave your answer some thought.
“uh… well–”
“i’d say fujita from class d is quite the looker! think you’d be interested in them?”
after swallowing the food in his mouth, tamaki began to subconsciously listen in on the conversation. he paid close attention to your responses with bated breath, a small part of him anticipating your answer highly.
“fujita’s nice and all, but i don’t think we’d really get along as a couple.”
tamaki mentally sighed, relief evident all over his face. it was then that mirio had started fitting the pieces together after watching his close friend’s brow wrinkle throughout the entire exchange before finally relaxing at your words. crossing his eyes with nejire’s only confirmed his suspicions as the girl sent him a wink.
as a friend, mirio wasn’t about to let nejire’s operations fall flat. getting up from his seat, he motioned tamaki to come with him.
“i heard they have extra yakisoba bread right now! we should go check it out!” he said as a guise to give the other two time to themselves, free from tamaki’s prying ears.
unaware that mirio had caught on so quickly, tamaki didn’t object to tagging along with him. mostly because he thought of this as an opportunity to get some fresh air and calm his racing heart, finally feeling the effects of the blood rushing to his face.
with tamaki supposedly out of earshot, nejire was free to go about her questions however she wanted.
“okay then, if not fujita, then who? there has to be someone, right?” the girl scooted further in her seat out of pure curiosity. “tell me, is it perhaps someone in our class?”
it was your turn to be stricken by her boldness. you tried picking at your food, stuffing it into your mouth to avoid answering, but nejire’s tenacity outmatched you.
finishing your lunch, you opened your mouth to speak, “actually, the person i’m interested in is pretty close to you…”
nejire feigned ignorance, innocently placing a finger under her chin. “who? mirio?”
“ah no, it’s tamaki, alright?!” you ended up blurting, voice hushed but frantic.
bingo. hearing exactly what she wanted, nejire returned to her original position, a triumphant grin plastered on her lips. replaying what you said out loud in your head, you buried your warm face in your hands.
unbeknownst to you, tamaki had ended up hearing the whole exchange around the corner coming back to their table as mirio lightly snickered at his revelation of an expression.
the blond patted his shoulder. “go on then, you know what to do.” he threw tamaki an encouraging thumbs-up.
the boy gulped in response before inhaling a deep breath of air to prepare himself for what would arguably be the most important yet stress-inducing moment of his life so far.
noticing you getting up to discard your tray, tamaki—through a final push from mirio—went to make his move.
hearing him suddenly call out to you, you were caught off-guard. after admitting to your crush on tamaki to nejire, you felt your cheeks get hot just seeing his face right afterward.
“oh hey, did you get your hands on those yakisoba breads?” you scraped up a way to start the conversation.
“right... that… mirio managed to get the last one in the cafeteria,” he answered. then he brought his hand to rub his elbow, fidgeting in his spot as he found it difficult to look you in the eyes again.
“tamaki? something wrong? are you upset that he got the last yakisoba bread?”
he shook his head. “no, i… it’s just… i’ve been meaning to ask you this for a long time now, but never had the courage to say it to you because i didn’t think you ever liked me that way. but…” he finally mustered the determination to face you head-on. “would you go out with me, y/n?”
at first, you were speechless—absent of words as you relayed his request in your mind over and over again. then, your eyes softened, lips easing into a smile as you reached out for his hand.
“i thought you’d never ask.”
TODOROKI SHOUTO
it’s no surprise to many that when it came to asking someone out, todoroki didn’t exactly know the first thing to do.
mostly because he’s never asked anyone out to begin with.
you were the first person he’s ever felt these kinds of emotions for, and to be frank, he wasn’t sure what to make of everything that had been going through him when that root of infatuation had started to bloom inside him.
rather than sulk or contemplate on his thoughts for too long, he surmised it was best to simply come clean and ask for advice.
but when he confessed to what had been on his mind lately, he wasn’t expecting such a vigorous response from his friends.
“i’ve been thinking about asking y/n out.”
there was a layer of uncomfortable silence amongst the group before all hell eventually broke loose.
midoriya, uraraka, and iida immediately sprung from their seats in the common room, yelling “what?!” in unison. tsuyu and her frog-like mannerisms were more idle, but still surprised nonetheless.
todoroki was unfazed by their reactions, actually expecting it to go that way considering he’s never brought up any topics of that nature before. at the very least, he’s thankful he decided to say this when it was just the five of them. compared to what the whole class’s reaction would have been like, this was incredibly tame.
todoroki was used to always listening to what others had to say and never being the subject of the conversation when it came to dating.
but now things were different. he was openly admitting to them that he was regarding someone romantically. that he possibly sought a relationship with this someone—wanting to be committed to them and become the very best person he could be right next to them. to the four, this was coming completely out of left field.
after everyone simmered down and let the news sink in, the dual-haired boy resumed his thought,
“but i’m not sure how to do it.”
though the entirety of the group never had any experiences when it came to dating, they knew enough from media and pop culture to get an idea on how to help him. more than todoroki could imagine on his own anyway.
“i know! how about we go with the romantic and suave approach!” uraraka suggested. the rest asked her to elaborate.
“it’s simple! it starts by you leaving a note on her desk right before class, saying to meet you on the rooftop of the school! before the designated time, you should wait there for her with a bouquet of flowers, and then when she arrives, confess your feelings and ask her out!”
midoriya rubbed a finger against his cheek, skeptical. “i don’t think that sounds as simple as you’re making it out to be.”
tsuyu chimed in beside him. “those kinds of ideas usually only work well in books, ochako.”
pursing her lips, uraraka gave her plan a once-over, and realized it did seem a bit more involved and out of character than what todoroki was used to.
despite sharing a few more ideas with one another, they couldn’t narrow it down to any perfect one.
that was when iida clapped his hand, bringing everyone’s attention to him.
“alright, i think we’re starting to blow this whole ‘operation’ way out of proportion,” he said.
“if you’re honest about the way you feel about her and show it sincerely, i’m sure she’ll consider your feelings. you don’t have to do anything extravagant when it comes to asking someone out.”
listening throughout every word, todoroki nodded. meanwhile the other three were astonished that their class representative could be so whimsical when it came to romance, which in turn, iida was conflicted by. however, at the very least he was glad they could help out a friend. and so, todoroki went about his day with their discussion in mind.
he found that in many occurrences, whenever he crossed by you and thought of it as a chance to ask you out, there would always be someone to come in and take your time away. leaving him to stand there awkwardly before dismissing the fated question for later.
eventually, the sky dimmed and evening arrived, and by then, the whole class was already back at their dormitory and about to have dinner.
through some rather convenient circumstances, you two were actually assigned on kitchen duty that night.
“it’s been getting pretty cold lately so i was thinking we should cook up a hot pot for everyone.” you gave your idea to him as you pulled out some ingredients from the fridge, waiting for his reply, but it came a few seconds later than you were expecting.
“right. sounds like a good idea,” todoroki answered a tad late. upon realizing it was only going to be the two of you making dinner tonight, his mind was occupied by what he and his friends spoke about earlier.
that was when he started overthinking the situation and absentmindedly half-assed his work.
“todoroki, the cut on the tofu is slightly uneven.” you reviewed his cutting board. looking down, he saw the inconsistent slices of tofu limp in front of him. if bakugou were the executive chef for the evening, he would’ve had to hear an earful from him.
“sorry…” he apologized quietly, reaching out for another cube of tofu to cut.
“is everything okay? i know you’re still learning how to cook, but i’ve seen you show some significant improvement on your knife skills recently.” you voiced your concern for him.
the white and red-haired boy stared at the white bean curd while hearing your worried tone and couldn’t find it within himself to continue the task. it was now or never he thought. he laid the knife flat on the cutting board.
“actually, i wanted to ask you something.” he turned toward you. “do you… want to go out with me?”
nothing but the sound of the fire running on the stove could be heard in the kitchen. todoroki didn’t move his eyes away from you, watching you nearly drop the plate of siu choy and shiitake mushrooms out of shock as your mouth was hanging open.
when you caught onto your bearings, you let out a small laugh. “oh… i… wasn’t expecting that,” you admitted honestly, placing the ingredients on the counter safely.
the boy furrowed his brows. “is that a no?”
“n-no! i mean that isn’t my answer! i–” you fumbled with your words, cheeks warming up now that his confession had finally sunk in. in the meantime, todoroki found your reaction quite amusing. the corner of his lip quirked into a grin.
“what i mean to say is that yes, i’d love to go out with you.” you accepted the offer wholeheartedly. todoroki would be lying if his heart wasn’t throbbing from anticipation. he’s glad he’s able to rest and put that aside.
“now let’s continue making this hot pot together!” you cheered, smiling widely and he found comfort in your words before resuming slicing the tofu.

Please could I get poly Nanami and Gojo working together to overstimulation their fem s/o? Thank you nat!!! 🥵
do not look at me
teamwork - nanami x fem reader x gojo (5.4k)
it’s not surprising that satoru gojo wants to turn everything into a competition. even this. still - you’re not exactly complaining.
(warnings: afab reader, fem pronouns. cunnilingus, fingering, overstimulation, use of toys, deep-throating, threesome, coming inside)
Every time you end up with either one of these men, you wonder how it happened. But this time . . . with both of them beside you, hungrily eyeing you, your bedroom feeling very small and warm . . . this time, you decide not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Gojo’s fingers brush across your cheek, turning your face so you can’t look anywhere but into his crystalline blue eyes. You know what they look like under his blindfold, of course – but every time you see them feels like a surprise, like the wind is being knocked out of your sails. He’s too handsome for his own good, and the worst part about it is that he absolutely knows that.
From the other side of you on the bed is a long-suffering, world-weary sigh.
“It’s not a fair competition if you monopolise her,” comes Nanami’s voice.
“Aww,” Gojo complains, not breaking the eye contact with you. “Come on. You’re around way more often than I am, you get more of a chance to monopolise--”
“If we had to see even more of you,” Nanami says drily, “I’m not sure we’d survive.”
“C-competition?” You breathe, even as you feel Nanami’s hand feather light on your leg. “I didn’t realise that was what happening--”
Maybe you had been too breathlessly caught off-guard by the suggestion that the two sorcerers take you home. Too distracted by how handsome they both were when they had kissed you in turn, by how you’d opened the door and tumbled into your bedroom.
You’ve only ever had them one at a time before, their schedules never quite lining up, their various duties calling them away and depositing them back in your bed at a whim. Having both of them on your bed, touching you, looking at you – that feels like a novelty, despite how long these trysts have been going on.
“Satoru’s nature makes him want to turn everything into a competition,” Nanami murmurs, leaning in – you start as you feel his lips on your calf, gently drawing a path higher and higher, feather-light and reverent.
Gojo huffs out a laugh.
“I just know I’ll win,” he tells you. His face comes very close to yours and you feel like you could drown in the starlight of his eyes, his lips curving into a smirk. “Nanamin’s acting like this because he knows it, too--”
He kisses you even as Nanami snorts against the back of your knee. Gojo’s lips press against yours hungrily, as good at kissing as he is at everything else – suckling your lower lip into his mouth, nipping at it with his teeth, a taste that’s unmistakably sugary sweet flooding your senses. You’ve learnt from much experience that Gojo always tastes like sweets. The hand on your cheek strokes across your face to grip your hair, tugging it hard enough that a gasp escapes from your mouth to be caught in Gojo’s in turn. Nanami’s kisses have not stopped a moment, higher and higher, on the soft flesh of your inner thigh now--
Gojo pauses to pull back, drinking in your widened eyes and the swollen jut of your lower lip. He’s far too pleased with himself. You manage to put some of your thoughts in order, as strong fingers stroke up the thigh that isn’t being lavished with Nanami’s kisses, to say;
“W-what’s the competition?”
“Aww,” Gojo’s hands are at your shirt, pulling the fabric up over your breasts. He whistles when he sees them; it’s been so many times, and you’re still not over Satoru Gojo being impressed by the way you look. Your cheeks flame at the appreciation raw in his gaze. “It’s way more fun if you don’t know, princess.”
You’ve almost forgotten Nanami is there until you feel lips firmly press against the fabric of your underwear, hot breath obvious even through the cotton. You whimper, your back arching up to seek out more sensation and friction. Gojo sighs, tugging off the fabric of your shirt and throwing it off the bed (possibly to never be seen again).
“You’re wet,” Nanami murmurs, through a mouthful of fabric, at once sinfully close to your slit and too far away from it. Gojo raises his eyebrows.
“Of course she is,” he says, “hot guy like me here, and everything--”
Yes. Too handsome for his own good, and far, far too smug about it--
“Don’t you ever shut up?” Nanami asks, raising one eyebrow, pulling back from between your thighs. You make a soft mewl of displeasure at the movement, and he turns his stern gaze to you. “Be good, sweetheart. I had to take these off, didn’t I?” Big, calloused fingers slide under the waistband of your underwear to tug them down your legs. For a moment, the cloth clings uncomfortably to the slickness of your folds – and then, you’re bare to Nanami’s hungry eyes (and Gojo’s, though he seems far more interested in your upper half right now. You guess Nanami is having his turn at whatever this competition is first--).
“Look at you,” he murmurs, soft and low, admiring. He’s not the kind of man who throws out compliments willy-nilly, but you can still hear it in his tone, and it makes you go all over hot and needy.
“You’re gorgeous,” Gojo says, not to be outdone – and there’s a man who does throw out compliments. Nanami is right in that he really doesn’t shut up; but when the things spilling out of his mouth are about how good you are around him, how nice you feel, how pretty your face looks when you’re about to come – you’re much less bothered by Gojo’s habit of running his mouth. “I’m going to make you feel so good – you’re not going to be able to walk for a week after I’m done with you, doll--”
“We’re going to,” Nanami corrects. His hands land on your inner thigh, thumbs gently teasing the outer lips of your sex apart so that the slick folds are exposed to the cool air and the eyes of the two men in your bedroom. You shift, both uncomfortable and aroused by being so open and revealed to them – but both of them are looking at you hungrily, like two predators who are about to pounce.
You forget how dangerous they are, sometimes. You are so used to them as colleagues and friends – Gojo’s occasional childish whims, his laughter, his schemes, and Nanami’s sternness, the surprisingly caring heart beneath all of it – that you forget that their bodies are all raw power, their minds sharply trained weapons.
“Is that a promise?” You breathe, and for that you win a bright laugh from Gojo and a tilt of the lips from Nanami, a huff that would pass as laughter in a court of law.
The latter settles himself between your legs and you can’t help the rush of electricity that goes through you seeing him there, a fizzling spark that settles low in your stomach. His shirtsleeves are pushed up to reveal corded muscle in his forearm, his tired eyes still hungry as they drink in every inch of you like you’re a meal that he’s about to very much enjoy.
(Coincidentally, you’ve seen Nanami before he tucks into a meal he’s looking forward to, and it’s very much the same appreciative air – you, food, a piece of art . . . his gaze is equally appreciative).
“You’re very slow,” Gojo says, a lilt of laughter in the back of his voice. Nanami doesn’t rise to the bait as his face comes very close to your sex – you twitch under the gaze, the hot wash of his breath over your sensitive folds.
When Nanami’s tongue darts out to taste you, it sends a spiralling shock wave that you feel from your shoulders to the tips of your toes. You exhale softly – and, clearly spurred on by the soft little noise, Nanami’s tongue darts out again for a longer lick.
Gojo sighs, but when your unfocused eyes stray to him, his own gaze is locked upon where Nanami is bent with his mouth against your sex.
The tip of the latter’s tongue flickers over your clit and you mewl, heart skipping a beat. He’s being so slow – teasing you, making you incredibly aware of every wash of his breath and slight flick of his tongue. Your stomach ties itself into knots at just how good it feels – Nanami is always good at this, but having Gojo watching is clearly making him want to impress even more. This is far slower and more teasing that he usually is with you.
It’s not bad, by any stretch of the imagination – you’d argue it’s better than usual – but that doesn’t absolve the fact that you want more. You move your thighs so they’re over Nanami’s shoulder, intending to try and pull him against you – but big strong hands come to rest on them, Nanami’s grip stopping you from doing anything so rash.
He pulls back from between your legs for a moment, the glimmer of your slick on his lips, as he says;
“I told you to be good. Let me be in charge.”
There’s authority in his words that you can’t argue with – so instead, you let out a frustrated little moan. Nanami’s smirk is obvious as he presses a kiss to your clit.
He teases you for a few minutes, his tongue slowly lapping at you with nowhere near enough pressure for you to be satisfied, until you’re flushed and squirming under every brief twitch of his tongue. Only then does he pull you in a little closer and let the broad flat of his tongue slide across your sex entirely, making your toes curl and your thighs twitch and your eyes flutter closed at just how good it feels to finally have his full attention.
You’re surprised that Gojo isn’t complaining more about having nothing to do – from your experience with the man, he likes to always have himself occupied. He’s not usually prone to sitting still – at least, not without much complaint. When you do manage to look at him through the hazy veil of ‘oh, fuck, Nanami’s mouth feels amazing’, though, he’s watching Nanami with eyes of a hawk.
Right.
They’re having some kind of competition, and you know that Gojo hates to lose--
Nanami does something with his tongue, a flourish over your clit like he’s painting calligraphy, and your eyes snap shut as your hips stroke up to meet him and you come for the first time, a pleasant wash of heat and snapping pressure making your entire being feel light and floaty for a moment.
Nanami’s mouth does not stop for an instant. You know he must feel the wetness coat his chin and the twitch and flutter of your sex, but your peak does not stop him – his tongue just moves lower, pushing inside of your quivering entrance--
“Fuck,” you whimper aloud. Your toes are curling. Your hands fly up to Nanami’s hair, twisting within the strands, dishevelling him. “K-Kento, I’m-- I already--”
He pulls his tongue out of your channel only long enough to murmur;
“I know,” and then he is continuing the onslaught, the tip of his tongue imitating the action that you wish his cock were taking, thrusting in and out of your sex. Your walls try and tighten around it to suck him further in, but his tongue does not act in the same way as a cock and it’s not enough--
He alternates between the two, moving from clit to entrance to clit again, flickering his tongue and thrusting it until you’re wondering how he can even manage to keep moving it, he must be aching . . . Occasionally, he wraps his lips about your clit and sucks and you just about lose your damn mind from how it feels.
You lose track of how many times you come, weakly pulsing around him. The glide of Nanami’s face against your sex is so wet that you think it will be a miracle if you don’t have to change your sheets after this. You must be a puddle between them, every flicker of his tongue and puff of his breath against your overstimulated slit making you whine and whimper and moan.
Tears bead in the corner of your eyes as Nanami finally – finally – surfaces for air. His face is soaking wet, the aftermath of your various orgasms also staining the collar of his shirt dark with damp. You don’t know if Nanami is really done, even then – but Gojo takes the opportunity to bounce, unrestrained energy, and push Nanami away so your thighs fall from his shoulders.
“Come on,” Gojo urges. “It’s my turn--”
“Satoru,” you say, weakly. “I’m—I need a minute-- I don’t think I can--”
But his fingers are already on you. He swipes them through the mess of your sex (half with Nanami’s saliva, half with your own slick, both of them so mixed together you can’t tell what’s you and what’s not), delighting in the way your form twitches under the onslaught of sensation.
“Sure you can,” he says. “You’re so good for us--”
His fingers are cool against your heated skin. The hand that isn’t resting over your sex moves over your breast, squeezing the curve of your skin – you sigh, arching into the touch, letting him pinch your nipple between thumb and forefinger at the same time as he gently slides one of his fingers inside you.
It’s still not enough. He fits inside you without a single ounce of resistance, knuckle deep – more solid than Nanami’s tongue, reaching further and deeper, but still not filling you up as much as you want to be filled. You thrust your hips to make sure that he’s buried in as deep as he can go and he chuckles, giving the pinched nipple a good-natured tug that sends an electric surge to the pit of your stomach where another orgasm is already building.
You didn’t know you could come again. You thought that Nanami had pulled every ounce of pleasure you were capable of from your body already, but here is Gojo Satoru to prove you wrong once again--
“You want another?” He murmurs. “I thought you couldn’t . . .?”
The last words are said mocking and smug, and if you didn’t want even more of his fingers inside of you you would slap him. Instead, you simply moan and hope that he takes it as the permission that it is. Gojo knows you too well to misunderstand, and can see that you’re enjoying yourself too much to withhold (not to mention Nanami, watching him – he can’t help but want to assert his dominance even more when the junior sorcerer is around), so with the next thrust of his fingers he scissors you open with a second.
You whimper, but your body greedily welcomes them inside of you. They’re long and good, rubbing against all of the patches of your inner walls that have you seeing stars. You’re incapable of real thought right now, with Gojo’s fingers buried so deep inside of you. All you can think of is the stretch of him, the feel of him, his knuckles. With every thrust of his fingers your sex makes wet, slick noises that would be shaming if you weren’t so far gone.
You’re not ashamed of how good you feel right now. You’re not ashamed of the rocking of your hips as you help him along, fucking yourself on his fingers just as much as he’s fucking you with them. He bends his head and wraps his lips about your nipple, his teeth grazing the sensitive little bud, at the same time as his thumb strokes across the swollen pearl of your clit and the string inside of you snaps.
You don’t know what number orgasm this is, but it feels like the first one all over again as you cry out Gojo’s name into the ceiling. His lips leave your nipple with an audible pop, turning to where Nanami is sitting on the bed. At some point, he lost his ruined shirt, and your eyes blearily fixate on the scars on his side and the muscles in his shoulders. God, it’s unfair that he hides his body like that--
“She never said your name,” Gojo says, smugly. You want to reprimand him, but you can’t speak – your throat feels dry and sore, your heart beating loudly in your ears. Gojo must be able to feel it, too, where he’s still deep inside you; the heartbeat feels like it’s reverberating all through you until you can’t think of anything else. Gojo lets you ride out the final pulses of your orgasm with his fingers buried inside you.
If you think that he’s going to pull his fingers out of you, though, you’re deeply mistaken. He lets your body stop weakly pulsating around him, and then his thumb is back to drawing circles around your clit. He knows better than to touch it straight off – but the feeling is still half-good and half-ache, more than you can handle so soon after coming so hard. Your hips wriggle beneath him, your breath coming in short gasps. He slides his fingers half-out, and then pushes them back in, already halfway to establishing a rhythm.
Oh, oh, oh. It’s so much. Gojo leans his head to kiss your neck, teeth scraping across the sensitive hollows of your throat, spending a moment to suck a lovebite into your skin that you know you’ll have to cover up tomorrow. Three fingers are inside you, and Gojo is just getting faster.
His thumb stops being so delicate and drags across your clit, leaving a trail of fiery hot pleasure. Tension coils in your gut all over again.
Too much, it’s too much, all of your body is on fire – you can’t, you can’t, you can’t--
You want him to stop. You don’t want him to stop? You’re trembling all over like a tautly pulled violin string, ready to snap. How is he going so fast? How are you taking it? Three fingers stuffed inside you and you’re ready to fall into pieces--
Nanami moves, pulling your head onto his knee as Gojo continues to fuck you open with every pump of his hand.
“C-can’t,” you whimper, arching up into Gojo’s fingers. You’re soaking wet everywhere – your brow is beading with sweat, your sex so slick that it’s a wonder those fingers don’t slip out of you with every hungry flex of Gojo’s hand. “I can’t come again, Satoru, please--”
You don’t want him to stop despite the protestation, hips still hopelessly pumping up in greedy search of friction. His thumb has not ceased the assault over your swollen clit, every brush of the digit sending shocks throughout your body. Your mouth is open to take great hungry, gasping breaths – it’s a wonder you managed to form any syllables. Nanami is bent over you with a hand stroking your hair, but there’s a hungry frustration in his gaze as he watches Gojo fuck you with his fingers.
You know that the other man wants another turn – but you’re honestly not sure if you can take it.
“Aww, don’t be like that!” Gojo chirps, and his hand gets faster, which you didn’t even realise was possible. Your fingers fist into the bedsheets below you throwing your head back, panting. “Of course you can come again, princess! You’re just about to, actually--”
You hate him for being right. The ball of tension in your stomach is so tight it’s almost painful, pulling at you from all angles ready to unravel once more. One little mean grind of Gojo’s thumb against your clit has you falling again, slick walls of your sex clamping about the three fingers buried inside you, a gush of wetness soaking him even further and making Gojo exclaim in delight.
Your chest heaves with effort. Gojo pulls his fingers out of you with a weak pop, followed by a little pour of your slick that he was plugging inside you. The white-haired man brings his fingers to his mouth, tongue darting out to taste you – he tilts his head back, savouring the taste.
“Sweet,” he tells you, with a grin. “I could get drunk on you.” He turns to Nanami with a challenge in his face. “Did I win?”
As competitive as Nanami can be sometimes, you also know that he’s willing to admit when he’s beaten. You’re expecting the younger sorcerer to sigh but ultimately agree with Gojo’s words – you’re not expecting, above you, Nanami’s face to become something that’s all fervent ruthlessness.
Nanami moves to your bedside drawer and opens the second one down. Your face grows heated. He knows what’s in there, because you’ve experimented with using them in the bedroom before – but still! Having him go in there of your own accord!
Despite the panting and the sweating and the fact that you feel like you’ve been pushed to your limit already, seeing Nanami holding the bulbous headed magic wand toy sends a jolt of arousal right to your poor swollen sex.
“That’s cheating,” Gojo says hotly, pouting as Nanami gently pushes him out of the way to settle between your thighs instead. “I win by default!”
“If you want,” Nanami says, measured. You gasp as he presses the smooth head against your clit without turning it on, the cool, smooth sensation making you squirm even without the vibrations that you know are coming. “Perhaps it would be more fun if we worked together.”
A flash goes over Gojo’s face, as he tips his head to one side in consideration.
Nanami moves the toy again, still turned off – sliding it along the wet slit of your sex, to where your opening is pulsing and fluttering to be filled by something more substantial than Gojo or Nanami’s fingers and tongues. You shudder at the bolts of heat that it sends all through you. You’ve come – what, four times? Five? Almost too many to count – but you still feel so achingly empty, you still feel as though you need to be properly held down and fucked. You’re at once overstimulated and nowhere near stimulated enough, and your hips jerk with every slow measured rub of the toy against your slit.
“You admitted it,” Gojo crows, but he watches Nanami’s slow teasing of your heated body nonetheless. “I’ll remember that. But . . . if you really think we should work together . . .”
“Alright,” Nanami says agreeably, far more entranced by you and unwilling to be pulled into Gojo’s games.
Gojo moves onto the bed, over your head. You watch him undo his pants with hazy, unfocused eyes – still too far gone to make sense of anything that’s happening around you except how good the cool head of the wand feels on all of your slick, hot folds and how your entire body is still fizzling with pleasure.
When he pulls out his cock, it’s clear to see that you’ve had an effect on him – the swollen head, all pink and slick, the pulsing shaft.
“Is that for me?” You ask, and Gojo laughs at just how out of it you still sound. He supposes that the best way to describe it is ‘cockdrunk, only you haven’t taken any cock yet’ – pleasure soaked, unreal, all satisfaction and greedy arousal.
“Do you want it?” He asks, teasingly. “I’d like to give you it, but I’ll wait until you use your words, pretty girl--”
You open your mouth to speak at the same time as Nanami flicks the switch on the toy, and whatever affirmation is about to spill out of your slack mouth is lost in the wail.
It’s too fast, too soon, against your poor clit that’s had enough stimulation for a year – and you can feel your orgasm hovering at the edge of your vision in moments. You try to clamp your legs shut to stop it being so overwhelming, but Nanami is too settled in between them.
Gojo uses the open-mouthed moan to slide the head of his cock into your open mouth, groaning as if in relief when your lips seal around it. Anything to distract you from the persistent buzzing of the toy between your thighs. Anything to stop you coming again, embarrassingly quickly--
Gojo’s hand strokes through your hair tenderly as he murmurs softly;
“Good, fuck, you feel amazing--”
Your body and heart do a flip at the praise. From the glint in Gojo’s eye, he’s remembered how well you respond to praise – and your sex clenches hungrily around nothing in response. You drag your eyes from Gojo to look at Nanami, still between your legs, his bottom lip caught between his teeth as he studies your sex and how it’s clenching and pulsing and dripping even with the toy pressed against your clit.
You can see the thick outline of his cock pressing against his slacks – but Nanami is far more focussed on your pleasure than his own right now. He’s always been better at holding himself off than Gojo is.
“Hey,” Gojo says. “Keep your eyes on me, let him do whatever he wants . . . I deserve that, for winning, huh?”
You drag your eyes back to Gojo as you keep sucking at his cock. You whine around it – and there’s Nanami again, flicking up the intensity the barest notch. You whine around the shaft, making his cock vibrate with your hums, your tongue sloppily sliding along the salty slit. “Oh, fuck – you’re gonna come again? Ha-a, guess both of us is . . . a bit much--”
You do. You come again, your back arching – Nanami grabs your waist with one hand to keep you anchored against the bed, your thighs still unable to close as a pleasure-painful orgasm is wrung out of you. You’re not going to be able to walk for a week, Gojo was right.
Somehow, there is still enough liquid in your body to soak the bed beneath you again, though you feel like after the amount that the two have brought forth from your body you ought to be a dry husk where you lay.
“Good girl,” Nanami purrs, and you’re helpless under the onslaught of him turning the toy up one more time. You can’t come again, you can’t you can’t you can’t--
And moments after the last orgasm you do, your legs shaking wildly. Nanami has the sense to pull the toy off you this time and he’s treated to the full view of your empty hole clenching around nothing. The scream of pleasure is lost to Gojo’s cock – his hips thrusting against you, the head bumping against your throat. You wish you could concentrate on anything but the fire between your legs. You’re in pieces, feeling like you’re floating through stars, not properly anchored down anywhere--
Maybe you pass out for a moment, but your tongue is still moving against the meat of Gojo’s shaft and your heart is still beating a frantic rhythm and aftershocks are still ricocheting through you when your eyes manage to refocus and you remember where you are.
“I need to--” Nanami murmurs softly, and you hear the zipper and button of his trousers. He’s almost apologetic as his cock rests at your entrance. You make a soft noise of encouragement around Gojo’s cock and Nanami seizes upon it with relief, your entrance welcoming him inside its wet, tight embrace without a fraction of resistance.
You’re still utterly overwhelmed in the best possible way, sore from coming over and over again, but that doesn’t mean you’re going to leave the two of them high and dry. You redouble your efforts on Gojo’s cock, tongue tracing line where his cock head and shaft meet and winning a groan from him. You hollow your cheeks and suck as Nanami begins to establish an even pace, the slick glide of his cock inside of you sending pleasant shivers all through your body.
Gojo’s hips chase every suck, his breath beginning to sound unsteady in his chest. His mouth is moving and you know he must be talking to you, but all you can hear is the slick wet sound of Nanami’s cock driving in and out of you and the pound of your own heart in your ears.
Gojo’s cock twitches in your mouth as the only warning before he’s coming, thick spurts down your throat. You swallow reflexively, practically sucking him dry and making Gojo groan and whisper your name like a prayer. Part of you feels smug about the heated way his voice sounds as you suck the very final shivers of his orgasm out of him, wondering if he feels even half as drunk on it as you did after all the times he’s made you come tonight.
He pulls out of your mouth in time for Nanami to grab your face and kiss you, seemingly uncaring about the fact you must still taste like Gojo. Nanami always likes to have his mouth pressed somewhere against you when he comes, almost as if he’s embarrassed of the breathy groans he makes as you push him over the edge. His hips stutter, his even strokes turning into ragged plunges of his cock into you, and you use your energy to give his lip a nip as you feel him come inside of you with weak pulses. The way that his pelvis grinds against your clit with his final thrust is enough to push you over the edge one last time, your channel throbbing feebly against his as the final, quieter orgasm washes over you like waves lapping at a seashore.
He stays there for a moment, gasping against your lips. You suppose he did wait longer than Gojo did to finally be touched, even after touching you first, and you wonder just how much he was aching to be inside of you by the time he finally got there.
You’d be willing to let him lay there forever, if he wanted to – unfortunately, that feeling is not mutual on the part of everyone in the bedroom.
Gojo clicks his tongue.
“You can’t stay there forever.” He says. “I want to cuddle.”
Of course he does. Nanami groans as he rolls off you, his softening cock popping out of you with a wet noise. You should clean up – the bed beneath you is already soaking wet, your thighs soaking and uncomfortably sticky, Nanami’s come oozing from your hole as press your thighs together. But . . . if you do stand up, you think you will just fall over. And Nanami’s chest looks inviting, perfectly positioned for you to just shift an inch or two and rest upon it . . .
Cleaning up can wait. You stifle a yawn, the bed dipping as Gojo chases the way you move towards Nanami, as if he cannot bear for there to be space between any of you.
“Do I get to decide who won?” You ask, sleepily, resting your head on Nanami’s chest as he sighs and allows it, running his fingers through your hair. Gojo grumbles, locking his arms about your waist and pressing his cheek against your bare back despite the fact you know you must be sticky with sweat. Despite the sigh, Nanami’s hand is fond, his posture all relaxed, a quiet kind of satisfaction in every line of his body.
“You’re probably the best judge,” he says.
“I thought we already decided,” Gojo whines. “Nanamin cheated--”
“I think,” you say, ignoring what Gojo is saying (which you have long learned is one of the best ways to deal with him when he gets prideful and arrogant). “You both won. Teamwork was definitely superior.”
“Hmm,” Nanami says. “You know what? I think you’re right.”
Gojo shifts, hugging you tighter, his body pressed as close to you as is humanly possible. Your bed isn’t really comfortable for all three of you to embrace like this, but in between them you can’t bring yourself to care.
“Say whatever you want to make yourself feel better,” he says, all dignity. “I definitely won.”

request?: yes!
@girl-toxxic "reader and Jimmy are in a relationship not long ago but Jimmy was always in love and they both live in the same place, ok but let's say that reader meets a new friend at work (she is a waitress or can be a babysitter for a rich girl) and this new friend has a lot of money and is very interested in reader and the reader get along well and this makes Jimmy insecure, since reader's friend gives him small gifts and helps him a lot. But you can add something that is more interesting as the boy confesses his feelings to the reader and she rejects him since Jimmy is her great love and he tells her how can she go out with that poor devil ... or something else interesting what occurs to you. And that this ends in a lot of love and smut, bah if you feel comfortable🤗💕💕"

masterlist (one, two)
I walked through the door and made a beeline for the kitchen to throw away yet another gift from my not so secret admirer. The last thing I needed was for Jimmy to see what Mark had give me and to get upset about it.
I worked as a waitress at a bar and grill down the road from mine and Jimmy’s house. The hours were only okay, but the tips more than made up for it, especially after our newest regular, Mark, started dining there and specifically asked to have me as his server whenever he was in.
Mark was in his late 30s, handsome, worked a good job that paid good money. He came in one night after he had a particularly hard shift. He sat at the bar, and it was the night I was working it, so I talked him through his rough day. Next thing I knew, he was coming back and asking for me again. We became friendly, but it took me a little too long to realize he wanted to be more than friends.
I turned the corner and yelped as I realized I wasn’t alone. Jimmy was leaning against the counter, almost like he was waiting for me.
“Hey babe,” I said. “I thought you were at the Shelter with Future tonight.”
His eyes flickered to the gift bag in my hand. “He wanted me to come home. We haven’t had a night together in months.”
“Doesn’t help that we both work late night jobs,” I tried to joke. The bag felt heavy in my hand as Jimmy kept looking at it.
“That rick prick buy you more useless shit?” he asked.
“Jimmy,” I sighed.
“Sorry, I forgot it was okay for some rich jackass to buy my girlfriend expensive gifts.”
He wouldn’t meet my eye. He kept glancing around the kitchen, every so often looking down at the bag in my hand. I dropped everything I was holding onto the floor, including that stupid gift, and raced over to hug him.
“Hey,” I said, softly, resting my head on his chest. “Hey, you know there’s nothing to this. It’s just a guy who doesn’t understand I’m not interested.”
“It’s a guy who has money.”
I lighted my head to look at him. “What does that have to do with anything?”
Jimmy shook his head. “Nothing, never mind.”
I pulled away from him. “No, tell me.” When he didn’t speak, I took his chin in my hand and forced him to look at me. “Jimmy, do you think I’d leave you for someone who makes more money?”
“He’d be able to give you what you deserve,” he responded. “A house, a car, expensive gifts - ”
“We have a house,” I cut him off. “You have a car, and I don’t want expensive gifts. I don’t want materialistic things, I want happiness and love, and that’s what I get with you. You really have nothing to worry about in regards to Mark. You’re the one I’ll always want.”
Jimmy sighed and pulled me close. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry. I’ll give you that reassurance any day.”
I leaned up to kiss him. He relaxed into the kiss and I leaned into him more.
When he pulled away, Jimmy turned to look at the forgotten present on the floor. “What did that asshole get you this time anyways?”
I picked up the bag and pulled out the box that was inside. Jimmy opened the box to reveal the gold necklace Mark had given me. The pendant was gold to match, and it was my initial.
“I was gonna chuck it when I got home,” I told him. It’s way too flashy for me, it wouldn’t match anything I own.”
“Don’t throw it out. This is, like, real gold. We can sell it for a good chunk of money.”
I smiled. “I like the way you think, Rabbit.”
~~~~~~
The next day, Jimmy had the night off from the Shelter so he drove me to work. He followed me into the bar and grill with the intentions of sitting at the bar for an hour or two before going home. One of my co-workers spotted us as we walked in and gave me a panicked look. I immediately knew what she was trying to tell me.
I saw Mark sat at the bar before he saw me. I was about to turn to Jimmy to warn him when Mark spotted me and rose from his seat. He had a wide smile on his face, until he saw Jimmy behind me.
“Two nights in a row, Mark?” I asked, trying to lighten the mood. “Those wings and nachos are gonna start getting to you.”
“I went to the gym this morning, so it cancels out,” he responded. “Who’s this with you?”
“This is my boyfriend, Jimmy. I told you about him, remember?”
“Oh yeah, the...rapper,” Mark said. I didn’t miss the way he sneered the word “rapper”, and Jimmy didn’t either.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
Mark shrugged. “Nothing. Just stating a fact that (Y/N) told me. Although, rapping at that rundown warehouse probably doesn’t pay as much as a real job would.”
Jimmy stepped towards Mark, but I grabbed his arm to stop him. “Hey, he’s not worth it. Just go home. Thank you for the ride.”
Jimmy glared at Mark before turning to walk away. I breathed a sigh of relief, glad that the situation seemed to defuse easily.
And then Matt spoke again, “Yeah, go back to the trailer park, white trash.”
Jimmy snapped and charged at Mark before I could stop him. He knocked Mark to the ground and reared up to hit him. I quickly grabbed his arm and pulled as hard as I could until Jimmy was off of Mark.
“Get out before security gets called,” I told him.
He got to his feet and walked out the door before anything else could happen. Mark was getting to his feet and adjusting his clothes. I was trying to calm myself down as I regarded him.
“Please leave, Mark.”
“Seriously? Your trailer trash boyfriend attacked me, but you’re kicking me out?”
“You provoked him.”
“I wasn’t saying anything he hasn’t heard before, or anything that wasn’t true.”
“Fuck off!” I snapped, my anger finally bubbling over. “You are fucking insufferable! I’ve told you on multiple occasions that I have a boyfriend, that I’m not interested. Most people would take the fucking hint and move on. The way you’ve been acting, especially tonight, is way out of line. I want you to get the fuck out and if I ever see you here again I will contact the authorities and have you charged for harassment.”
Mark blinked, realized I was being serious, and finally left. He muttered some less than ideal names towards me as he walked out the door. I sighed and buried my head in my hands. I was grateful that there wasn’t many customers in the area as all of this went down.
“Hey.” I looked up at my co-worker, who was now in front of me. “Go check on your man.”
I thanked her and quickly walked out the door. I didn’t expect him to still be outside, so I was surprised to see him stood by his car, almost like he was waiting for me to come out.
“Did I get you in trouble?”
I gave him a small smile and shook my head. “No. If anything, you did me a favor. When it became evident that Mark wasn’t taking no for an answer, all of us wanted to ban him from the place entirely, but we weren’t allowed unless he really caused trouble. I think it’s safe to say starting a fight is more than probable cause to make sure he never comes back.”
Jimmy was nodding and rubbing the back of his head. “I probably could’ve handled that better though.”
“I didn’t expect you to handle it any other way,” I said. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. “Are you okay?”
Jimmy chuckled slightly. “Cocksucker didn’t even try to hit me. Did you see his face when I tackled him? He looked like he shit himself.”
I giggled. “Yeah, he’s definitely not a fighter. He’s too much like a high school mean girl for someone who works an office job and makes as much money as he does.”
Jimmy wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him, resting his chin on top of my head. “I’m glad you stopped me. I wouldn’t beat the shit out of him if you didn’t.”
“I would’ve liked to see that.”
We both stood in silence for a while. I buried my nose in Jimmy’s sweater, taking in the familiar scent of his cologne. It made a warm feeling swell inside of me, like a safe feeling. It reminded me of how I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else than in Jimmy’s arms, or with anyone else besides Jimmy. No amounts of money, or people like Mark could ever change my mind about that.
“I should actually go to work,” I said, reluctantly untangling myself from Jimmy’s arms. “I’ll see you when I get off?”
“Of course, I’ll come pick you up.”
I smiled and kissed his cheek. I started back towards the restaurant, but paused to turn back to Jimmy. “I love you.”
“I love you, too.”
HOW YOUR FIRST KISS WITH THE MARAUDERS + CO. WOULD GO ;
requested by anon—i hope you like it <3
James Potter ;
James would probably go down a traditional route.
He’d know immediately that he liked you and wouldn’t waste any time in asking you out, hoping desperately that you’d accept.
He’d take you on a simple date, probably to Hogsmeade where you’d walk around together, going into any of the shops you wanted to.
James would most likely insist he bought you something, anything, really—he just wanted to buy you something.
But there wouldn’t be anything you wanted enough that you couldn’t pay for yourself—like some sweets from Honeydukes.
He’d definitely take you to the Three Broom Sticks and sit you down in a little booth in the corner.
He’d flirt with you, laugh with you and exchange funny stories, enjoying every second of it, more than he thought he could.
You’d catch yourself staring one too many times, tuning out his words and focussing only on the way his mouth moved.
After the date was over, he’d walk you back to your dorm, his hand tucked into yours.
Having your back to your dorm room door, you’d smile sweetly, focussing on how close he was and the thumb rubbing lightly against your knuckles.
After a moment, the movement would stop and he’d untangle his fingers from yours, brining one hand up to your face.
He’d lean in slowly, waiting to see if you might move in closer too.
When you started to lean in, he’d quickly catch his lips with yours, pushing you back against the door and cupping your face in both hands.
Eventually, you’d pull away reluctantly, staring at him breathlessly. Another quick peck to the lips and you’d say goodnight.
His hand would remain perched on the doorframe as you closed the door behind you, resting on it once more with a smile on your face and fingers tracing over your lips.
On the other side, James’ forehead would be rested against the door before he turned around slowly and saw Sirius at the top of the stairs grinning from ear to ear.
“Enjoyed that, then?”
James would laugh, but wouldn’t deny it, of course.
Remus Lupin ;
Remus would probably have a hard time working up the courage to kiss you.
There’d be so many times he came close but backed out at the last minute, fearing you might back away and laugh at him.
It would be a running joke with his friends, including bets being made on when he’d finally manage to do it.
They’d always be very encouraging too though, because they weren’t as blind as Remus.
It would finally happen on a normal day, doing something completely ordinary and usual for you—maybe studying in the library for an assignment due in.
He’d glance at you from the corner of his eyes, finding it hard to concentrate when you were right there, sitting next to him, close to him.
Merlin he’d be a mess, shifting in his seat, incessantly tapping his quill and making countless spelling mistakes.
You’d be aware of it all, trying not to react in case it made him more nervous, but it would be getting ridiculous.
He’d only be nervous around you at certain times and you couldn’t understand why, or what was so important about those times.
You’d get his attention by staring at him, waiting for him to explain himself.
“What?”
He’d barely be able to hold eye contact until you said his name softer than anyone had said it before, at which point he’d be caught in a stare.
“Rem, I’m going to do something, okay?”
He’d simply nod, wishing it might be what he’d been trying to do for weeks now.
You’d lean in close, looking him in the eye and then darting down to his lips. You’d wet yours with your tongue before looking him in the eye again.
Remus would keep eye contact, afraid that if he looked away he might wake up from a dream.
Your lips would be soft against his, and immediately his hands would cup your jaw, bringing your closer and falling in deeper.
His eyebrows would scrunch together as his lips moved against yours, and even after he pulled away.
Remus wouldn’t be able to wipe the smile from his face as he walked into the dorm he shared with James, Sirius and Peter.
He wouldn’t be able to get the feeling of you out of his head the whole way there.
“So you did it then?”
“Actually, they did.”
James would groan loudly, pushing his face into his pillow while Sirius laughed heartily.
“Pay up, fool.”
Still planted into his pillow, James would slam his hand down on the table beside his bed and throw some money at Sirius.
Sirius Black ;
Sirius would be a wreck for days; he couldn’t understand what he was feeling and wouldn’t given himself enough time to figure it out.
If he ignored it, it might go away.
But you wouldn’t.
It took him some time to realise that the feeling was attached to you, like invisible string had tied his heart around your finger.
He’d kissed people before, sure, but he couldn’t even imagine what it would feel like to kiss you—he was almost afraid.
He’d have half a mind to bury the feeling and you along with it, friendship gone and forgotten about.
But he couldn’t do that, he wanted you too much. He needed you.
Out in the courtyard was where he’d asked you to meet him via a little note beside your bed.
He’d wait there, pacing back and forth and then sitting down while his leg bobbed up and down.
He wouldn’t hear you approach, his thoughts too thunderous to hear anything outside of them.
The tap on his shoulder would startle him, until he realised it was you.
He’d try to talk, to explain things and what was going on with him and why things seemed different.
In fact, you’d be surprised Sirius wanted to meet you anywhere, he’d been oddly distant lately, but not in a cruel way.
Almost in a way that suggested he was frightened.
He’d sigh, “You know I can’t talk about things.”
He’d link his pinky with yours, looking down to the stone pavement you were standing on.
You’d reach up and brush the hair from his face, smiling up encouragingly.
He wouldn’t be able to take it anymore—you were so gentle, so patient and he needed to tell you, or show you.
He’d lean in quickly, his lips just skimming yours, but he’d wait there, close and asking.
When you didn’t move, he’d close that extra inch, gliding his lips over yours almost desperately.
His hands would roam from your waist, up your back and along your jaw, aching to just hold you.
He knew then that the feeling would never go away, but he wouldn’t mind it so much anymore.
Lily Evans ;
It wouldn’t even be a thought for Lily, it would probably happen by accident.
You’d be sitting against a tree on the grounds of Hogwarts, reading or just talking and soaking in the sun.
You’d have said something funny, something that made Lily laugh more than she had done in a while.
She’d turn her head against the tree trunk and watch you laugh and how there were crinkles beside your eyes.
She’d watch how your cheeks plumped as your smiled stretched further.
After a minute, her smile would fade as she continued to stare at you as if the world was about to implode and she had to look at you and memorise everything before it was too late.
It was intense, she could feel it in her stomach, her heart. But she’d push it down when you looked at her, careful not to reveal everything too soon.
And when your eyes met hers, she’d just…kiss you, like it was the most normal thing to do in the world.
It felt like it was, but it also felt new and exciting—a rush would wash over her, making he slightly dizzy.
She was drunk with the thought and feel of you.
It would be a quick reciprocation from you after you realised what was happening.
Your hands would tangle into her brazen hair, and for that moment on a sunny day under the cover of green leaves, everything would be utterly perfect.
Lily would smile against your lips, unable to hold in the happiness she was feeling that it was all real.
Resting her forehead on yours, she’d sigh contently, and you’d stay that way for a minute or two, just soaking up the image of each other.
The wind would pick up, blowing a strand of hair across Lily’s eyes, so you’d brush it away, tucking it behind her ear.
Taking the opportunity, you’d kiss her cheek, slowly moving across to her nose and back down to her lips where you’d give her a quick peck.
Lily would laugh, eliciting your laugh once more before she pulled you flush against her and dropped to the soft grass below.
Marlene Mckinnon ;
Marlene would know she liked you pretty quickly. She’d know herself and what she wanted.
And oddly enough, for Marlene, it would be harder to approach the subject than she thought.
Usually she’d have no problems going after what she wanted, but with you she seemed to stumble a little bit more.
Instead of looking or trying to create the perfect moment or the perfect way to ask you out or kiss you, she’d decide just to wait and see what happened.
When the right moment came to her, she’d know.
It would probably just be a normal evening, just you and her talking together in your dorm or the common room.
No one else would be around, which both you and Marlene would always take advantage of when it happened.
She’d be watching you talk rather than listening.
How your mouth moved and how sometimes, when you weren’t sure how to put your thoughts into words, you’d bite your lip.
How your hands moved with the plot of the story, signalling when you were happy, angry or for an action of something you were describing.
You’d probably catch yourself, realising Marlene wasn’t really paying attention and apologising for talking too much.
Marlene would laugh, telling you there was no such thing and encouraging you to carry on.
And she’d realise right there, that it was the moment she’d been waiting for.
She’d been sat admiring you and almost didn’t notice how perfect the moment was to finally kiss you.
“Y/N.”
It would sound soft, almost lazy, and you’d immediately quieten down, staring at Marlene who’d just interrupted you.
“I really want to kiss you.”
Completely dumbfounded, you wouldn’t know what to do or say, but you were sure that when you looked back you’d know exactly what you should have done.
Marlene would lean in to see what you thought, since there was no response that indicated a mutual feeling or rejection.
You’d stay impossibly still, worried you might do something wrong otherwise.
But she’d hesitate, just for a moment, questioning whether she was doing the right thing.
And the idea of a future where she hadn’t kissed you then wasn’t something you wanted to bring into reality.
And that’d be how you knew that you wanted it to, and knowing exactly what to do, you’d lean in quickly and capture your lips with hers.
Regulus Black ;
There wouldn’t be any admittance to feelings before your first kiss.
Regulus would be sceptical, cautious to enter into a relationship, especially when he didn’t know if he would be able to be there for you the way you deserved.
He’d be used to you finding him in the Astronomy Tower, tucked away from humanity and left with his own mind—for better or for worse.
Usually your presence would be a welcome comfort, unless things were particularly bad, at which point you knew to leave.
But it would be a time for you and Regulus to just be you, to share deep and dark secrets or laugh at something that had happened in class.
It would serve as a sanctuary for whatever you needed, so it was fitting that your first kiss would take place there.
In a place you’d learn to call yours together with Regulus.
You’d probably approach him on a particularly bad night, but he wouldn’t send you away.
He thought by doing that, he’d only allow for damaging, cursed thoughts to fill his mind and taint his heart, corrupting him from within.
Your company would ease it all, slow it down if anything. It would provide light and safety in places where the shadows couldn’t reach.
At this point, Regulus would glance at you, how the wind caused the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up, how it bit at your skin, but that you still wore a gentle smile upon your face.
He’d realise that every night you spent up in the tower alone with him, paved a path from his heart to yours—he’d know that they’d finally met.
He’d finally realise that he had no expectations to live up to, no one that he had to be but himself; you’d willingly spent your nights with him, not just to wallow or brood but to laugh and talk about yourselves.
After admiring you both in memory and in the present, Regulus would place his hand over yours that rested on the railings.
It would be cold from the night air, but it wouldn’t matter to him.
You’d look up to Regulus, the person you’d given up countless nights for, just to be with him because you couldn’t think of a better excuse not to sleep.
He’d look at you differently, not like he ever had before and it was send waves of butterflies to the pit of your stomach.
He’d lean in slowly, whispering your name as if it was a question, waiting for your response in the quiet night.
It wouldn’t be an audible answer, but rather shown in movement as your face inched closer to his before finally your lips met in a slow and tender kiss.
His hands would cup your face, bringing you impossibly close, wishing for you never to leave.
But you would, your lips would part and a smile would break out over them, just like it would on Regulus’—mirrored emotion speaking words better than either of you could have formed them.
Surprise, surprise.
Author's note: This is my first ever written one shot. The inspiration popped into my head during my shower. Please let me know what you think. Enjoy
Fluffy one shot.
Part 1.
// Introduction //
A little info about Y/N and Vinnie.
So, you guys met during the first Covid lockdown.
You weren’t really seeing anyone of your friends during this time because you didn’t feel like taking any risks. So the only way for you to interact with anyone, was via social media. Before lockdown you also kind of give up on the idea of finding a lover because the last time you gave it a shot it didn’t work out.
You remember one of your best friends told you ‘’ Once you start focusing on yourself, it’ll come to you. ‘’ Well, what better way to focus on yourself other than during quarantine?
That’s when Vinnie came into the picture.
After many failed attempts of having a normal conversation with serval people, the last thing Vinnie expected was to meet someone like you. A lot of the time people tried to take advantage of the fact that he was famous. They would post his personal info on social media and share their conversations for clout. Just like you, Vinnie was kind of over the idea of meeting someone who would like him for his personality instead of his name.
You guys instantly clicked. It felt like talking to someone you’ve known your entire life. There wasn’t a thing you couldn’t share with another. But because the two of you lived in different time zones you couldn’t talk as much as you’d like, but you made it manageable. There was only one problem; traveling was not an option due to Covid, so the two of you had never seen each other in real life.
Until now…
// End of introduction //
Alex (Warren) set up his camera to make a video.
He clicked on record and looked into the camera.
‘’ So as you guys know, Vinnie and Y/N met online in the beginning of Covid, but they’ve never officially seen each other in real life. Now that traveling is allowed again and Vinnie hasn’t been feeling himself lately, I thought it was a good idea to surprise him. I bought y/n a plan ticket so she can come over and hopefully cheer Vinnie up. And I will document the entire journey. ‘’
// Vinnie’s POV //
It’s noon. I lay on my bed, scrolling on my phone through TikTok. I haven’t heard from Y/N all day. Normally she would call me before going to bed herself, but she never did. I tried texting her but no reply.
Y/NNNN????
Yo bro, you there???
I miss your voiceeee
Please don’t be asleep already
Pick up!!!!!! Or else I’m coming for you.
God, I wish I could just fly to wherever she was at and kiss her entire face. Because, yes, I am indeed in love with her, and she feels the same way about me. I just never thought I could recognize so much of myself in someone else. She’s the most kind, beautiful and loving person I know, and I can’t wait to hold her in my arms one day and never let go.
I’m starting to daydream about a life with y/n without the long distance, because it truly sucks. Then I hear a knock on the door and before I know it Alex comes rushing in with his camera in his hand.
( Vinnie & Alex )
‘’ Vinnie, say hello to everyone! ‘’
‘’ Hello everyone. Alex what do you want? ‘’
‘’ Why are you assuming I want something from you? ‘’
‘’ Because you only enter my room if you either have one of your crazy ideas to share or if you want me to get involved in something I probably shouldn’t get involved into. ‘’
‘’ Pfft, not true. My ideas aren’t crazy, they’re brilliant in their own way. ‘’
Alex grins at me. Suspiciously.
‘’ Anyways that’s not the point Vincent, I actually came in to see if you would join me to get some groceries because the only thing left are rise waffles and I’m starving. ‘’
Alex is blinking his eyes with the same grin he has had on from the moment he came into my room.
He’s not going to leave until I agree on coming. So before I know it, we’re on our way to the grocery store.
// Y/N’s POV //
I received a text from Alex a few weeks ago. He told me about his idea to surprise Vinnie. I couldn’t be more excited. Ever since Vinnie and I started talking I have pushed many of my personal boundaries. In a positive way. Vinnie has helped me regain trust in others and has showed me that love is real. I have lost my faith in love due to my previous experiences. That’s why the connection that I have with Vinnie is so important to me.
I have arrived at the airport as I turn on my phone. My phone starts to receive all the missed text messages and calls from Vinnie. I smile as I read through them.
‘’ Oh Vin, if only you knew ‘’ I think to myself.
I hear someone yelling my name behind me. As I turn around, I see Nailea running towards me.
Nailea is a close friend of Vinnie so of course she was the first to know about Vinnie’s contact with me. She’s been super kind to me, and I consider her as the sister I never had.
Nailea hugs me once she has approached me.
( Y/N & Nailea )
‘’ OH MY GOD. Girl, I am so happy that you’re finally hereeeee!!! ’’
I laugh as I see people around looking at us.
‘’ I am also very happy to be here. To finally meet everyone. For real. ‘’
‘’ Yea, now tell me, does my nose look bigger on the screen than in real life? ‘’
‘’ Hahaha, no Nai. You look fantastic on the screen and even better in real life. ‘’
Nailea and I take my stuff and walk out of the airport.
Once settled in the car, I receive a text from Alex:
We’re almost at the store. He hasn’t got a clue. See you there.
This is all a part of Alex his big plan. First, I will act like a regular costumer shopping at the same store as Vinnie and Alex. Then once they get back, Alex will distract Vinnie just a little longer, so he won’t notice me walking past the car right away. Brilliant.
// Vinnie’s POV //
Alex and I walk into the store.
‘’ Alright, what do we need? ‘’
‘’ Anything but rise waffles. ‘’
I shake my head, laughing, as I walk to the lemonade aisle.
Alex is taking out his camera and starts filming me from a far.
I start singing Paparazzi by Lady Gaga as I act like I'm hiding from him.
‘’ Oh, you should also take a few cans of coke. ‘’ Alex suggests.
As I walk towards the aisle with cans of lemonade, I notice a girl standing in front of it. Her hair instantly reminds me of Y/N. The exact same length, color and texture. Call me a simp, but I just pay a lot of attention to the girl I love. I slowly approach the girl before Alex attacks be by throwing a teddy bear on my head.
‘’ Hey, watch it! ‘’ I fix my hair.
‘’ Sorry man, I just know how much you like teddy bears. ‘’ Alex’s laughing out loud as he zooms in to my face.
I laugh, as I start to think back to the day Alex thought it would be funny to buy a giant teddy bear and have Patrick in it to scare me.
Just then, I notice the girl was gone. I didn’t see her anywhere else again.
After collecting all the stuff, we needed, we went home.
Once we arrived home, Alex stopped me before I opened my car door.
‘’ Let’s just sit here for a bit and talk about some stuff. ‘’ I stare at Alex with a confused look on my face.
‘’ Yea, because the viewers want to know, how are things going between you and Y/N? ‘’
I scratch the back of my neck and start feeling the heat take over my cheeks.
‘’ I mean, it’s hard sometimes. She’s one of the most important people in my life, yet I haven’t even met her in person. But I just know that once I do, that everything will naturally fall into it’s place. ‘’
Alex pouts as he listens to all the sweet things I have to say.
‘’ You really like her, don’t you? ‘’
‘’ I mean, yea I do. I really do. ‘’
‘’ Alright, so imagine her standing in front of you right now, what would you do? ‘’
I look at my hands as I start to imagine a situation like that.
‘’ Uh… If she was standing in front of me right now.. I would.. ‘’ My eyes scan a figure walking past the car and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
// Y/N’s POV //
Shit, I almost got caught. The plan was to go into the store, just to admire Vinnie from a far. I didn’t plan to stand in the exact aisle, where he needed to get something from. Luckily, Alex had a plan to distract Vinnie while I fled to the exit. Phew, that was close.
Alex texted me, saying they were on their way home. That’s when it hit me, I am going to be able to see, touch and kiss Vinnie for the first time ever. Nailea noticed my anxiety kicking in and she told me everything would be just fine.
It didn’t take long before Alex’s car pulled up on the driveway. Alex and Vinnie stayed in the car for a bit. My phone started buzzing as I read the notification: ‘’ Now!’’ That was my cue.
As nervous as one can be, I walked past the car with the person who’s the other half of my heart in it. I didn’t dare to look in his direction.
// Vinnie’s POV //
I couldn’t believe my eyes. This isn’t real right? Was I dreaming? I mean, I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night because I was worried sick due to Y/N not responding to me anymore.
I rub my eyes as I watch in the direction of the person again and there’s no way it couldn’t be her.
Then she turns her face into my direction and my heart starts pounding. There she is, the love of my life, the only person who can make my day just by popping up in my notifications, Y/N.
As I try to open my door, I hear Alex locking it.
‘’ Let me out! ‘’ I look at Alex as I try to unlock the door, but unable because he keeps his hand infront of the lock.
‘’ You haven’t answered my question yet. ‘’ Alex smirks at me, but I do not find it funny at all.
‘’ Please, let me out and I’ll show you what I would do if she were to stand in front of me ‘’
And with, I heard the door unlock. I jumped out of the car and ran as fast as I could to the person who I longed for the most.
Sparks Pt. 4
Summary: Peter Maximoff comes back after a weekend at home to find Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters crowded and booming with noise. He decides to investigate and finds out that it's orientation day for new students. He sees you and immediately is head over heels, but in his attempts to impress you he embarrasses himself beyond belief and runs off before you can even introduce yourself.
Read Part Three Here
All the new students chatted excietley among themselves wondering what you guys were being called to the garden for. There were only a handful of you guys about 20 or so but when it comes to mutants that number was massive. You too were excited to find out what was going on, you tried your best to ignore the slight feeling of embarrassment you had, you had almost told Peter you thought he was cute. A part of you was relieved that Jubilee had spared you of a possible rejection but the other half wondered what his reaction would have been.
“What ya thinking ‘about?” You felt yourself jump up at the sudden noise, scaring Jubilee who was holding onto your arm. You whipped your head to the side to see Peter standing there leaning on Kurt’s shoulder. Kurt pushed him off and went behind you squeezing next to Jubilee muttering about how everyone took advantage of his powers and never thanked him. You shot him a smile as he passed by and he returned it. If only you could have seen the way Peter’s disappeared for a moment, before snapping right back when you turned to face him again.
He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by Professor X pulling up at the front of the crowd. “Thank you all for coming, I hope you have all met your roommates and hopefully were able to get acquainted before I interrupted you all. Well before Peter interrupted you all.” Everyone laughed and Peter gave a little bow and waved like he was the queen of england. “So what we will be doing is a display of abilities for our new students.” Everyone started whispering at this but Professor X put his hand up as a signal for silence. “I know it can be unnerving especially if you still can’t fully control your powers. But this will give me and the students here a chance to see what your abilities are and what your skill level is at. That way I can assign you to the appropriate classes and you can find students with similar powers or struggles to help you while you are here at this school.” He smiled at the crowd, hoping to ease their nervousness. “When you come up give us a short introduction and then a small display of your powers. Who would like to go first?” The crowd fell silent, everyone absolutely hated the idea of telling the whole school about yourself and then showing your powers. “Come on now, one of you has to get it started.”
“(y/n) wants to go!” Peter blurted out.
“Excellent,” Xavier exclaimed. “Come on up Dear.”
Your eyes widened, shaking your head rapidly back and forth. Peter reached for your hand and gave it a little squeeze pulling you closer so he could whisper in your ear. “It’s better if you go first, you get it out of the way and you don't have that feeling of dread while everyone else is going.” You gave him a skeptical look, he gave you a reassuring smile. You yielded and gave him a quick nod. The crowd parted to make way for you as you awkwardly walked to the front. “Hi my name is (y/n) (y/l/n). I am 19 years old and I enjoy painting and I really like movies.” You felt your hands shaking slightly. You always hated doing these introductions, and it wasn't helping that the crowd was so quiet.
“I love movies!” Peter shouted, easing the tension. You looked up from your feet to see his beaming face. “Do you like Karate Kid!” You laughed, as did the crowd. You were grateful that he was trying to make you feel more comfortable.
“Yeah I like Karate kid.” You responded.
“Do you like Daniel or Johnny!?” He shouted again. “Cause I personally prefer-”
“Peter!” Xavier interrupted, glaring at him. “Stop.”
“This conversation isn't over!” Everyone continued to laugh at Peter’s antics, the feeling of nervousness you had had was long gone.
“Anyway,” Professor X did his best to redirect the conversation back to what it was originally intended to be. “If you don’t mind Ms. (y/l/n), show us what your abilities are.
“Yeah okay.” You gave him a nervous smile and took a deep breath. “My powers aren’t all that strong. But I don’t mind,” You looked around for how to display your power, it was getting dark in the garden, there were lights in the garden but they were very dull and gave off very little light. You held your hands out slightly, a soft light surrounded your hands and you flicked your wrist up. The small action caused light to pour from the lamp posts, illuminating the whole garden and allowing everyone to see clearly. You could now see Peter beaming at you, his smile the brightest thing in the garden. “I can manipulate electricity.” You explained letting the lights dim slightly. “It’s a weaker version of the power so I can’t actually wield electricity and form it into what I want, but I can affect things that require it.” You made the lights dance softly and flicker on and off. “I can also do this other thing but I need a volunteer.” You admitted face burning with a slight embarrassment. You don't really like showing off.
“I’ll do it!” Kurt’s hand shot up in the air, he beat Peter to volunteering. His hand was paused slightly before he lowered it. Jubilee shot Peter a knowing look at seeing his disappointed face. He avoided her gaze. Kurt poofed form where he was to the front of the crowd right next to you. You wave the smoke away and take his hand in yours. As soon as they connect a slight shock goes through you to him and Kurt’s hair stands comply on edge from the electric shock. “This is amazing!” You giggled at his reaction and he gave you a toothy smile. Peter formed look at you and the way you looked at lane another, from here it was hard to tell if it was one of admiration or one of affection. An unknown feeling settled into Peter’s chest as he watched you two hold hands. Something he couldn't quite place.
“I can send electric charges to people that I come in contact with.” You explained. “It can range anywhere from a small shock out of nerves or a full on electrical shock, with the same power that a defibrillator can distribute.” You let go of Kurt’s hands and his hair fell back down. “If I can control it then the power wears off when I stop touching them but if it's out of nerves or shock it may leave their hair standing up.” Peter remembered how his hair had stayed on end when you had held his hand.
“Thank you (y/n). That is a very fascinating power. “Xavier gave you a gentle smile and you returned it before making your way back to Jubilee. She complimented your powers and said that you guys were meant to be friends and roommates because your powers were similar. Professor X called up another student and they gave a quick display similar to yours. It went on until everyone had gone and you were at least familiar with one another. Professor dismissed you guys yet again and informed you that dinner would be served in the hall. Tonight's meal was going to be grilled cheese and tomato soup.
“Grilled cheese?” Jubilee whined. “I’m so sick of grilled cheese they serve the same food every week.” Jubilee looked around to make sure nobody was near. “What do you say we get some real food?”
“But I thought we weren't allowed to leave campus.” You questioned.
“That’s just a suggestion, if you can find a way out who says you have to stay.” Peter said pushing himself between you two, hands slung over both of yours shoulders. Jubilee shrugged him off and he settled for just having his arms around you pulling you even closer in a side hug. “Let us show ya some fun newbie.”
You bit your lip debating it. While you were thinking Kurt and two other students made their way over to you all. You remembered the guy and the girl from the earlier demonstration from the x-men. It was Scott and Jean.
“What are you guys talking about?” Scott asked as he came closer.
“Prison break.” Peter answered. “That is if (y/n) here agrees to letting us show her a good time. The x-men way.” All eyes were on you awaiting your response. A wave of excitement rushed over you.
“Alright let’s do it!” They all cheered.
“I’ll drive!” Peter shouted.
“No!” everyone yelled back, you let out a laugh. This was going to be fun.
I hope y’all enjoyed this chapter! Peter was interrupted before he got to say if he liked Johnny or Daniel from Karate kid? Who do you think he prefers 👀 who do you prefer ? I’m a Johnny girl myself
This is a random but cute idea, I got! So you know of the whole friends to lover schtick like “the one that’s always been there for them no matter what” kinda deal? So Suna, Bokuto, Kuroo, and Iwaizumi are friends with Y/N who’s always been by their side through and through. She has a crush on them (they aren’t aware of it) but accepts that her feelings might not be returned, but after a few days of her not showing up to school or answering their messages/calls; They hear from one of her friends about her moving to America (mainly heard her last name and the word moving). And they get this big ass realization about how much they love her and how amazing she is. They’re terrified that they’ll never see her again, so these guys just book it to her place and when they finally see her, they give her a hella tight hug as they confess their feelings, how much they love her, and that they don’t want her to go. Y/N is both confused and relieved that her crush returns her feelings but explains that she’s helping her relative move out to the states so she’s been too busy to talk or be at school but she confesses her feelings back to them and gives them a kiss.
(God, I’m so sorry for how long this became 😭)
Hiiii these were cutee and also I love when requests are super long and detailed!! So thank youuuu, I hope you like them and let me know pleasee xx
~
A/n - Are these dramatic or do I want to be loved???
~
Suna
You watch him go through his phone. He always looked so relaxed and pretty. You two had been friends for a while now. Always telling each other what's going on around school, teasing his least favourite twin and just always being around each other. You were falling for him hard. The way his eyes would slightly widen when he watched his favourite show. The little air he puffs when he sees a funny meme. Everything he did made your heart beat faster.
When you realised how much you liked him you were overjoyed. Being close friends with your crush was rare and yet you got to enjoy his presence.
However, overtime you realised he never really acknowledges you. Yes, he talks and hangs out with you but he didn't seem interested in the same way you were with him. When you accepted he wouldn't return your feelings, you just continued to act like it didn't hurt you every time he smiled at someone else.
He noticed you hadn't been at school for the last 2 days, not thinking much until he heard your name.
"Yeah I heard they're leaving for America. Must be so cool." He hears his classmates gush and widens his eyes.
You were leaving?
When the end of school bell rings, he quickly gathers his things and rush to the exit.
"Hey! We have practice!" He hears Osamu call out but keeps on moving.
"Tell Kita-san there's an emergency and I can't make it." He doesn't wait for a reply.
He hurries to your house, tie loose as he finally makes it to your street. He feels his chest tighten at the moving truck stationed outside your gates.
He sees you holding a box and rushes over to you. You almost dropped the box from his approach.
"Suna? What are you doing here?"
He pulls you into a tight embrace, hand buried in your hair as you feels his heart beat.
"Don't go. Please, I don't want you to go..." you break away from the hug and he tenses at your confused face.
"What?" You question and he runs his hand through this hair.
"I love you. I know I don't show it but I do. I think I've always loved you but I guess I didn't want to change our friendship..please don't go. I need you." He confesses in quick breath and this time you do drop the box.
"Rin-" you jump into his chest, wrapping your arms around him, hiding your face as you let out a little sniffle.
"I love you too. I've been in love with you for a while now." You look up to him and although the smiles, his eyes still hold a worried look.
"So you won't leave?"
"No? Why would I leave?" He motions to the box of belonging and van.
"Oh, I'm just helping my aunt move some of her stuff she kept here. She's leaving for America soon, so I've been busy and couldn't be at school." He rubs his palm over his face, chuckling from your answer.
"I really rushed here thinking I would never see you again."
"Sorry but you don't get that pleasure." You poke at his cheek, giggling, only to be silence as he places his lips on yours.
Bokuto
You're basically his number one fan. Always attending matches, staying after school for practice and just being his support. He adored you for it. Always calling on you to watch him spike, complimenting how his jersey looks good on you and how well you get along with the team.
What you wished he would realise was how in love you are with him. You've known him for a long time and of course you cheered for him as his friend but all the extra bits were efforts to show him he meant more to you. How could you not fall for him? He was beautiful, passionate, kind and enthusiastic. The way his eyes would light up when he touch a volleyball. How his laugh could lift the mood in the room, make you forget your problems and just let his laugh make its way into your heart. He just made everyone so comfortable and this gained him a lot of admirers. You would watch the way he behaved with potential dates, treating them kindly and laughing with them. He could have anyone he wanted. And with that thought your heart silently broke at the fact he probably doesn't feel anything towards you.
He immediately notices your absence. Scanning the school for your face, texting you multiple times for your whereabouts. Although your messages were short, he was content with the replies. Letting you get on with whatever was keeping you busy. But then you didn't come in the next day. He scanned everywhere again with no luck.
"Y/n...America....going tomorrow." He stood frozen at the door of your classroom, eyes widen hearing that you're m leaving the country.
Somehow gets permission to go out for lunch. He runs to your house, growing more and more upset that you're leaving him. Yells out your name when he sees you.
"Y/n, why are you leaving me? You can't just go! Why didn't you tell me that you're leaving me and going somewhere else? I love you too much!" He pants, arms pulling you into a tight hug.
"What did you say, Bo?" You whisper, head hoping you heard wrong so you could carry on pretending.
"I love you so much. More than a friend. I love you, don't leave me.." his voice strains and you gasp.
"I'm not going anywhere.," you finally say and you look up to see his eyes a little watery.
"But they said you're going to America tomorrow..."
"Nooo, I'm helping my cousin. They're going tomorrow and needed help. I'm not leaving you. I love you too.," you blush as you say the words out loud. His face immediately brightens, teeth on show as he smiles at you.
You pull his chin down and watch as he closes his mouth and eyes flutter shut. He smiles into the kiss, his warm lips finally on yours, pulling back you grin back at him.
Kuroo
What started as table partners in your chemistry lesson, quickly turned into best friend. From mocking his hair to cheering for the team he captains. You both got close really fast. He would wave at you at games, stick his tongue at you when he scored higher on exams and even tease you if his teammates flirted with you. He treated you like his friend. A close, always present, friend. But you started to feel more, you would look around in hopes of seeing him. Argue with him just to spend more time together and rolling your eyes at his fake collected demeanour when girls approached him. You loved him, loved his bad hair, stupid laugh and cunning brain.
You were so close to confessing until you heard him calling you just a good friend. Your throat tightened and in that moment, you chose to act like your feelings never existed. You would still tease and cheer for him, but not forcing any more contact you already had. You hoped the less time spent with him, the less hurt you'd feel.
He noticed, he might not seem very observant, but he noticed the way you would slightly pull away. How your mock fights would just be a little less intense, almost as if you were hesitating with your words. And then you stopped replying to him. All he wanted to know was if you were coming to the game tomorrow, sending you a quick message at night knowing you'll be awake. When he woke up, there was no reply. Hoping to catch you at school, he waits at your classroom. But you weren't there. He sent more messages, worried when you still wouldn't reply. Another day went by in the same way. He couldn't understand why you weren't replying to him. He almost walked into an opening door looking at his phone.
".Yeah, I went over to help Y/n pack a little, they're taking so many things for when they leave for America."
He felt his ears grow red, his grip on his phone tightening in the thought of you leaving. Is that why you've not been replying? But why? Why are you leaving and going away?
Cancels practice and hurries to your place. White shirt half tucked in as he obnoxiously knocks on your door. Your eyes widen as you see him panting on your doorstep.
"Why are you ignoring me? Why haven't you been at school or answering my messages?" You can hear the hurt in his voice.
"Why did you not tell-tell me you're leaving? You can't just go and not tell me, I thought we were close enough. I thought I still had time to tell you I'm in love with you. And you're just planning to leave with no explanation?!" A tear slips down his cheek, you quickly go to brush it away and he holds your wrist in place.
"Kuroo, I...I'm not going anywhere. I'm sorry I haven't replied to you or been at school I've just been helping my relative with packing for when they move to America." You looks at your feet, cheeks burning as you speak.
"I'm in love with you too...for some time now. I thought you only saw me as a friend.." you yelp as he squeezes you in his arms, his breathing beginning to regulate.
"Yeah a friend who I'm very much in love with, who will hopefully become more than a friend." You pull away and giggle as he gives you a lopsided grin.
"You're so cute I could kiss you." You tease and he moves his face closer to yours.
"Go ahead." You shake your head, pursing your lips as you bring them to his, his hand cupping your jaw to bring you closer.
Iwaizumi
If there's one thing you grateful for by being partners with Oikawa, it was being able to meet Iwaizumi too. You two quickly became friends in mocking Oikawa, a friendship bonded over your mutual annoyance. Suddenly you've become a trio, hanging around in school, meeting after school for training and going over to their house to do homework. It just felt right. And although Oikawa was pretty, you couldn't help but have a crush on Iwaizumi. He was respectful, nature, kind and adorable when he smiled. You love how his presence could almost control a room. His invisible authority was admirable. When training went late he would always drop you off after Oikawa. Asking how your day was, making sure you were okay and safe. You found the time alone with him made your crush go deeper. You couldn't help but think about him before you slept and after you've woken up. Your blush harder to hide when ever he bumped shoulders with you.
You almost hated having a crush on him. Knowing he just sees you as a friend. Pain in your gut at the thought of him rejecting you if you confessed.
When he didn't see you at the school, he was concerned. Asking Oikawa if he knew your whereabouts before calling you. When you didn't reply, he sent you a quick message but you don't respond. He was growing impatient. Your absence was making him restless. He missed you. Your laugh, the way you narrowed your eyes when you studied and how comfortable he felt around you.
"Iwa-chan!" He rolls his eyes.
"What do you want shittykawa?"
"Hey! Don't be rude. But listen, I heard someone say that Y/n is moving to the states!" He feels his stomach tense.
"What? When?"
"Yeah, apparently the flight is-" he doesn't stay for the rest.
He runs to your house, his backpack barely on as he runs through the crowds. Knocks on your door and waits. Bow to your parents from letting him in and quickly makes his way to you room, the door is open and his heart drops at the box filled with belongings on your floor.
"Iwaizumi? What are you doing here?"
"Are you leaving?"
"What?"
"Are you leaving for America? Please say you're not and Oikawa is lying and that you're not actually going away. Y/n, I like you a lot, so much, you can't leave...I was going to ask you out and take you on a date and get you food and-" you cut him off with a kiss.
He face is full of shock when you pull away, you sheepishly smile at him and he blushes. You grab one of his hand and caress it.
"I'm not the one going to America, one of my relatives is going so I'm helping them. See, this is some stuff they're giving me." You point to the box and he lefts out a sigh of relief.
"I'm going to kill trashykawa." He groans and you let out a laugh.
"So um...you don't have to like me back or anything.." he says lowly.
"Iwa, I like you too. And I'll love to go on a date with you." He looks up and smiles at you, bringing you hand to his lips, placing a little kiss on your skin.
The Doctor Is In
Stephen Strange x reader
Bruce Banner x reader (platonic)
warnings:
a/n: hey! idk how to build stairs guys. i didnt feel like researching it. i dont care if it’s wrong. leave me alone. part 2/2.
prompt:
Out (1)
There was no hope of Stephen coming back. Every truth you had to face was harsher than the last. Even when you got home and realized that Wong was among the vanished...and he didn’t fix the stairwell.
Maybe the stairwell was a good thing. It gave you something to focus on in these hard times. Sure, it’d been a month since the incident, but that still wasn’t enough time for the world to heal. That meant that contractors were hard to come by. But the roof would have a tarp over it for some time. No way you’d deal with that.
So you took a trip to the hardware store, you stocked up on wood and nails, lacquer and wood stain. Anything else you needed for the project. Anything to keep you busy.
There were so many sleepless nights. You hated being alone in Sanctum, hated being alone in your bed. Every so often you would nap on the couch, but then you’d get right back to work. Weeks on end you spent on the stairwell. How long will you stick around while I talk about the stairwell?
Doctor Banner called you from time to time. His voicemails were kind, heartfelt, but you couldn’t stop now. The gutted stairwell from a couple weeks ago was coming by very nicely. As nice as it could when worked on my an amateur. Alright, it looked awful, but you couldn’t stand using a ladder to get to the second floor.
As you were staining the wood, you played a message from Bruce:
“Doctor L/N, it’s Bruce. I hope you’re doing alright, but you know that if you’re not, I’m here for you. All the remaining Avengers have kind of...gone their separate ways for the most part, they’re pretty broken up about everything. I just want you to know that because you don’t...have to be strong right now. I understand if you can’t be. Just call me back whenever you can? I want to make sure you’re alright. We’re survivors, we should stick together.”
Bruce hadn’t known you long, but he was still a great person and friend. You should call him back, but if you lost focus, you may lose yourself. So you continued to wipe against the grain of the fresh stairs and moved to the next step. And the next. And the next.
The last step was the lacquer and seal. You were scared to finish up. What would you occupy yourself with once this was over? You thought about the answer until the very last step and admired your shabby craftsmanship. It’ll do. Or maybe you should tear it all down and start over? While you were thinking over your newest thought, your phone rang again. Bruce Banner.
“Hey, Bruce.” You answered the phone as you normally would and sat on the floor in front of your work.
“Y/N?” Bruce asked in disbelief. “Y/N, hey! How are you? I don’t know if you’ve been getting my calls..?”
“I have.” You quickly replied.
“Oh.” He quietly nodded to himself.
“I’m sorry, Bruce.” You realized your mistake and knew you may have come off as a little rude. He’d been nothing but kind to you, but you’d just realized you were alone today.
“No, no! It’s okay! I understand, don’t worry. What have you been up to?” His effort to start a conversation may be successful this time around.
“I fixed the stairwell. All of it. That’s what I’ve been doing the past few weeks. I just finished a few minutes ago.” You felt awkward talking to him. Not because of him, not at all. Just because you hadn’t really had any human contact in a while.
“I didn’t take you for a carpenter, Doctor.” Bruce was genuinely surprised with your skillset, you could hear it in his voice.
“And you still won’t once you see the job I did.” You actually managed to let out a chuckle. You didn’t know you could still do that.
“Oh, I hear ya loud and clear.” Bruce laughed, too. I wonder if he was having the same thoughts as you. “Y/N, do you want to go out to lunch like, now? I could use some company, maybe you could, too.”
“Yeah,” you checked the time on your watch, Stephen’s watch, and realized you worked through the night and day, “text me an address, I’ll meet you anywhere. See you soon.” You hung up pretty quickly, only to get ready ASAP. You were sort of covered in “stair supplies” and smelled like...not good. You’d take a quick shower, put on some clean clothes, and take off. Unfortunately, the stairs weren’t dry, so it was another round up the ladder.
—————
You finally took a trip back to your bedroom and shuffled through the closet filled with your...late husband’s clothing. It still smelled like him, surprisingly. You wondered just how long it would last. You hoped it’d be forever, but you grabbed your own clothes and quickly got dressed, then checked your phone to see that Bruce was running “a little late.” It’s okay, you were, too.
You took a seat on Stephen’s side of the bed and decided to snoop. Did it count as snooping if he was no longer here? You knew that he didn’t keep secrets from you, so what was the worst you could stumble upon? Books, books, and more books. But some were important books, ones detailing mystic arts. Maybe...maybe it was time to pick up a new skill. You stuffed the book in your bag and decided to head out now before you got too comfy in an actual bed.
—————
You and Bruce sat at a booth in the empty diner, awkwardly gazing over the menu while trying to stir up some conversation. It’d been a while since either of you had visited someone, you didn’t even know what to talk about.
“So, home renovations, huh?” Bruce asked while peaking over the fold of the laminated list.
“Something like that.” You sighed and set yours down and aside. “I know what I’m getting. What about you?”
“I just need a minute.” The only noise besides your bland conversation was the rustling of dishes in the back, which didn’t last for long. “Got it. A burger. That’ll do it.” Bruce announced and got the attention of the waiter.
Ordering took a second, but soon you and Bruce were alone again and ready to talk.
“How are the other Avengers? I know you said they went their separate ways, but...” You inquired and were surprised to see a smile crack on Bruce’s face. “What?”
“At least I know you listened to my voicemails.” He chuckled and took a sip of his iced tea. “They’re dealing with it. I don’t exactly know how. Nat’s staying at the compound, I’m sure she’s glad to have a home again. Cap went out on his own. Thor went back to his people. Tony and Pepper are trying to separate themselves from the world, I think. I don’t blame them. That’s all I know.” You stayed silent, but nodded along to his outer thoughts. “You alright?”
“I’m sorry, Bruce.” You started. “I didn’t mean to ignore you, leave you hanging. I just still don’t know how to take this. I keep thinking about what Stark told me when he came back. His whole ‘this will all make sense soon’ thing. Nothing about this makes sense to me.”
“Well, Strange was different, wasn’t he? He had that Stone, he had those powers, he might know something we don’t.” Bruce explained to you, an attempt to comfort you. “We’ve tried everything, y/n. Maybe it’s time to wait, maybe in time you’ll see that he sacrificed himself...for you.” You teared up at the scientist’s words and quickly wiped your eyes as the food was placed before you. “Thank you, sir.” Bruce said as the waiter walked off. “Hey, y/n? It’s okay that you’re hurting. I get it. But please don’t act like you’re alone. I’m gonna be here for you, okay?”
“Yeah,” you sniffled while hiding your wet eyes, “Me, too, Bruce.”
—————
When you got stressed out when you were younger, you threw yourself into your studies. Maybe that was why you were such an accomplished scientist. But what studies did you have now?
You had a library full of knowledge. It wasn’t your usual knowledge, but it would suffice. Now, the book that you’d snagged from Stephen’s bedside was a bit advanced for you, but that was okay. You had options.
Where would you even begin? This place was bigger than you remembered. Was this another spell? Did you know what you were talking about? Stop thinking, y/n. Start reading.
You picked out a book. You just ran with it. You recalled stories from Stephen. You remembered you needed the ring. What did he call it? Song ring? Sink ring? Slink ring?
Sling ring.
Not a problem, you could find one. Sanctum probably had tons. Maybe in Stephen’s study? You wished you had asked him more about his arts before, you just didn’t get it at the time.
One was stashed in a drawer. It was Stephen’s ring. The one he used himself. And it was the only one you could find, so it’d have to do. And so you got to studying.
The first time the air sparked by your hand was magical. Literally. But it made you feel something for the first time in nearly three months. And that was just the beginning. It felt like you were carrying on Stephen’s legacy in a way. You’d never be “Sorcerer Supreme,” but you didn’t have any intention of that. You just wanted his memory to live on, even if it were through you.
So you’d practice and you’d learn and you’d practice and you’d learn. You’d see Bruce whenever you could, and he soon noticed your mood change.
“I’m glad to see you happy for a change.” He told you while you walked through the park.
“Yeah, it feels great.” You told him while watching construction vehicles cleaning up the debris that had been lying around for months.
“I’ve been meaning to ask. What’s with the ring?” He looked at your hand and you lifted it closer.
“Oh...it’s Stephen’s.” You simply stated.
“Is it like a wedding ring?” He took a closer look and let you laugh it up for a quick second.
“No, no!” You shook your head at the ridiculous question. “I might as well show you. I haven’t told anyone yet, but that’s because you’re the only person I talk to.” You stopped in your tracks and shooed him back to give yourself enough space. “Ready?” Bruce looked terrified, but nodded a response and watched you raise your hands ahead, concentrating on the small portal you had began to open. Bruce recognized the opening since he’d fallen through it before.
“You’re one of the sorcerers?” Bruce’s eyes widened. “Why didn’t you ever tell me?”
“I just started learning!” You exclaimed with a bright smile. “I needed something to get me through this all...and I wanted to protect Sanctum like Stephen and Wong had always stressed doing.”
“That’s...amazing, y/n. Self-taught magic? By a scientist, no less. Look at you go!” Bruce had a knack for being supportive. You were glad that he crashed through your roof and into your stairs.
“Thanks, Bruce. Maybe in time I’ll be able to cast a spell that fixes my roof.” You shrugged.
“Oh? Come on! I said I was sorry!”
—————
And then five years went by. Flew by, actually. You’d become a skilled sorcerer and used your skills around Sanctum. There wasn’t much to do here on Earth. It was a bit quiet.
Bruce was still a close friend of yours! You’d advised him in his quest for balance. He was no longer at war with himself.
The roof was fixed! You had Bruce spectate your very own spell to repair the damages he’d inflicted, but all was forgiven.
Then one normal day you got a call from him.
“Hey Bruce! How’s it going?” You answered, even though it interrupted your meditation.
“Can you meet me at the diner ASAP?” He sounded a little off, but still upbeat, so you opened a portal and stepped through to find yourself right out front. It was easy to spot him through the window, but there were others with him. Avengers.
“Hey, all.” You took a seat beside an unfamiliar one. “Hi, I’m y/n.” You told him as a plate of food was set in front of you.
“I ordered you your favorite. Hope you’re hungry.” Bruce smirked at you and let you get to it.
“So, it’s been a while, huh?” You asked the two Avengers across from you.
“It has.” Natasha sighed. “I wasn’t aware you were...also a sorcerer.” She began.
“I had a lot of free time.” Last they saw you, you weren’t as cool, calm, or collected. They were glad that you’d found peace. “I have a feeling this isn’t a social lunch.”
“I’m sorry to pull you from your calm, Doctor L/N—” You cut Steve off.
“Y/N is fine.” You replied.
“Scott here,” Steve motioned to the awkward man sitting alongside you, “was stuck in the Quantum Realm for some time, if you’re familiar. He thinks that there’s a way to...to undo what Thanos did.” You peered over at Bruce and watched him shrug as your heart started to beat faster and stomach started doing turns. You hated the thought of getting your hopes up, but you still dearly missed your husband.
“What can I do?”
—————
You had a hand in opening the dozens of portals around the ruins of the Avengers Compound, but you weren’t the only one. Stephen, Wong, and hundreds of other sorcerers were assisting to bring an army to combat the troops of an outdated Thanos, and you were so close to Stephen.
Using your magic to create a pathway to the sky, you leaped from step to step to get a clear look of the battlefield. And to let Stephen see you. He did. And so did the cloak.
You’d never used your powers to fight, so you’d have to step it up out here. But you knew Stephen wouldn’t let you get hurt. And you believed that you could handle this yourself.
“Y/N!” Stephen called to you as he flew to your altitude and held you in a special embrace that you’d nearly forgotten the feeling of. “It’s so good to see you.”
“Are you kidding me, Stephen?” You chuckled through tears that you just couldn’t hold in, tears that dragged through the dirt and dust on your face, clearing small lines down your cheeks. “I have missed you every day since the moment you left. I am so glad to have you back.”
“I’m sorry I couldn’t say goodbye, y/n. I truly am. But I knew that you would manage without me. You always have.” He explained to you in such a heartfelt way, admiring your capability to still be standing in the air.
“You knew I’d become a sorcerer, didn’t you?” You cocked a brow and watched him smirk.
“I had an inkling.” He joked with you as the firefight below was still rampaging.
“It’s very unprofessional of you to be talking to your s/o during times of crisis like this.” You chuckled and broke your spell to fall back to the ground, stopping yourself before it was too late in what could only be described as a “superhero landing.” Now that you were on the ground, assistance was required for your own side of the battle.
You and your fellow sorcerers had to defend more than anything. Shields popped up across the battlefield in an effort to keep your people alive. There were too many close calls and you wanted to survive long enough to go home with your husband.
“Y/N, over here!” Stephen beckoned you to the flood that would have made this fight much harder, and you were delighted to defend alongside him. The cloak rushed to you and gave you a fast track to the edge of the water, you couldn’t help but that it for it’s kind service. “Ready?”
“Of course.” You lifted your palms and motioned towards that water, redirecting it and keeping it at bay for the time being. “I love you, Stephen.” You remembered to tell him.
“I love you, too, y/n.” He replied with his focus still on the flood. “And I’m proud of you. So very proud.”
“Couldn’t have done it with you.” You joked and stabilized the rushing waters, giving you a true load-off before the end was clear. Dust passed through the sunken hole you all stood inside. Dust of your enemies that had finally lost. You and Stephen stared at each other in disbelief, yet couldn’t help but run into each other’s arms. “This is real? We won?”
“In a way.”
—————
Stephen and you dressed in all black were standing in the back yard of your savior. Tony had given his life to give others a life. You were just sorry that it had to be him.
Bruce stood alongside you with a long face and an injured arm. It was time for you to be there for him like he’d been there for you.
“Thanks for bringing back my husband, Bruce.” You whispered to him while holding Stephen’s hand tightly. Over the past few days, you just couldn’t seem to let go of him.
“Oh, yeah? That was nothing.” Bruce playfully answered through his sorrow.
“How’s your arm feeling?” You asked him, making sure the sling wasn’t twisted up an any way.
“Not the greatest, but I’ll be okay.” He assured you and watched as you leaned your head onto Stephen’s smile with a sense of relief. “I’m really happy for you, y/n...”
“But?” You raised an eyebrow with a hint of worry.
“But you better still hang out with me.” He smiled at you and you even heard a chuckle escape Stephen’s lips.
“You can count on it, Bruce.” You lifted a hand for a fist bump and collided your knuckles with his, even if they were a bit oversized.
“Shall we get going, dear?” Stephen asked you while he hooked his arm around yours and opened a portal home. You waved goodbye to Bruce and went on your way, stepping right into Sanctum as the way closed behind you.
“So you really meant it, huh?” You asked your husband while setting your belongings down.
“That I love what you’ve done with the place?” Stephen laughed at your oncoming smirk and walked forward, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you forward to kiss the top of your head. “Of course, dear.”
“Even the stairs?” You peeked your head up to look at your husband and watched his smile grow. You’d never bothered casting a spell to properly repair them. Maybe you were just too proud of your work. Maybe it was a reminder that you got through these five years on your own terms.
“I do.” He leaned down to kiss your lips. “It adds character to this place.”
“More character than the magic?” You prodded at him.
“I think you mean ‘sorcery.’” He corrected as you leaned into his chest and slightly swayed back and forth, taking in his presence for the 50th time since he’d come home.
“Oh, of course. Silly me.”
Komui's Discussion Room content (DGM 27)
Volume 27 has been released recently here in Brazil and I realized the remaining of Komui’s Discussion Room were nowhere to be found in English, but after reading all of it, I thought there are very interesting things hence why I wanted to share!
Please bear in mind this is not a direct translation, but a summary.
I have a lot of criticism when it comes to Viz Media’s release (official English), but I’m quite content with the work Panini, the distributor of D.Gray-Man in Brazil, has done so far with the official Portuguese release. If there are any mistakes, please bear in mind I translated the information directly from their version.
There are 11 questions covered in this summary. For the others, please check Jeidafei’s translations on them (totally recommend it!): Part 1 | Part 2 | Author's note & Thanks Corner | Extra
Without further ado, let’s get into it! This got very long.
≫ Kanda hasn’t reached the “critical point” in synchronization yet (+ why Allen isn’t a General)
In the question “How did Kanda hide having gone past the critical point”, Tiedoll answers that he actually has the potential it takes to do it but hasn’t done it yet. Still on the same question, they answer a related question about Allen’s critical point: “If Allen has reached the critical point, why wasn’t he appointed to become a general during the Order’s reconstruction?”
Allen replies that it was impossible at that time since Central was keeping watch over him. Tiedoll adds that he’s also too young and the only one able to operate the Ark, the latter making Central even more suspicious of him. General Cross’s reputation also seems to have played a part in this, having the higher-ups deem Allen as someone they couldn’t trust enough.
Ryo’s note: Allen thanks Tiedoll for putting his thoughts about Cross into words and Cross simply laughs it off. XD
≫ Sleeping positions
They get asked about their sleeping positions. Tiedoll describes how Kanda sleeps with detail (when younger, in fetal position; nowadays, he sleeps lying on his side, preferentially the right side).
Allen comments that Johnny sleeps sprawled on the floor or the desk and that everyone in the Science Division sleeps like this; when he first saw it, he got concerned thinking something tragic had happened. Johnny says it’s comfortable to sleep like this, but Allen isn’t so sure.
Cross comments on how Allen sleeps; he mentions he likes to sleep hugging something and when he can’t do it, he complains until falling asleep. Allen gets flustered and claims that he got used to sleeping with Tim because he used to be big, but is over it nowadays. Johnny remembers Link used to tell him not to sleep with the piggy-bank, to which Allen replies that it was “not a sleeping position, but survival instincts”.
Kanda comments on how he brought a ton of food to the infirmary one time and says it was annoying to listen to him eating nonstop. Allen replies with sarcasm (“sorry for needing to eat to recover my energies”).
Cross sleeps naked, with his arms open (according to Allen).
Tiedoll sleeps on his stomach, blanket over his face.
Ryo’s note: The time Kanda is referring to is in Chapter 135 (135th Night: Repose, Partly Cloudly).
≫ The symbol on the CROWs' foreheads
Cross replies that it’s probably the compulsory mark of the procedure that transforms regular people in CROWs. Tiedoll says that Cross knows a lot, as expected of someone who’s able to use magic –he shrugs off the compliment – and Kanda asks when and how exactly someone like him learned it. He angrily says he didn’t learn it anywhere and ends the question at Allen’s remark that he always gets angry when people ask.
Ryo’s note: This is interesting. Could imply he was the one to teach magic to Nea (and the Earl himself?), and not the other way around. But, it’s also possible he just didn’t want to answer.
≫ “What is something you find impressive on the other, but have never admitted?”
Johnny decides to start with Kanda and Allen, and the two exchange insults for several lines.
Johnny then passes the baton to the Generals, who do the exact same as their apprentices.
Johnny ends the question with a thank you and sweating nervously.
Ryo’s note: By “insults”, I mean things like Kanda calling Allen a crybaby, and Allen saying Kanda’s dumb. Tiedoll calls Cross a delinquent; Cross calls him “doting dad”. The list goes on…
≫ The time Kanda spent with General Tiedoll right after becoming his apprentice (+ Allen’s time with Cross)
They are asked what was the most outstanding episode from such a time, and Kanda absentmindedly says he forgot. Tiedoll seems disappointed, stating they had made so many marvelous memories together, to which Kanda replies “please stop talking in this weird way”.
Allen asks how the travels were, and Tiedoll says the most important at that time was to take care of mending Kanda’s heart. They spent much time talking about amenities, having contact with plants and animals and admiring beautiful landscapes. Tiedoll believes that getting in touch with beautiful things can help to connect with the world, despite carrying the burden of being a Second; he wanted Kanda to feel like regular people feel about the world.
Johnny and Allen are touched, and the latter comments how jealous he is. Cross then reminds Allen of how many bedsheets he had to wash because of him, making him flustered. He then goes on to remind how not only he did that but also had to feed him – Tiedoll comments on how it seems impossible to imagine Cross doing all that – and even help him change many times.
Allen’s embarrassment reaches the maximum and he threatens to beat Cross if he keeps talking about that.
≫ Stories of when Kanda and Lenalee were little
Kanda tries to shrug the question off, but Johnny insists they answer. Tiedoll says that the two of them were really cute, just like two lilies that bloomed inside the gray scenery of the Order; Kanda tells him to stop.
Allen is uninterested in Kanda, but wants to hear about Lenalee. Cross asks him if he likes her, and says he thought he had a girlfriend in the Asian Branch already. Allen denies it and says both LouFa and Lenalee are his friends; Cross laughs, saying he doesn’t judge, and Allen nearly snaps in irritation (again).
Johnny moves on to answer the question; Kanda is against it, but Tiedoll holds him in place. Johnny tells that Jiji told him that at first, Kanda would be asked if Lenalee could train with him, but he would shrug her off saying he didn’t want to train with a girl, which would make her cry.
Every time Kanda made Lenalee cry, she would run off to Reever. In reality, Johnny thinks she wanted to talk to Komui instead, but she thought he was busy and didn’t want to bother him, resulting in her crying at Reever’s desk. Tiedoll and Allen are weeping at it (they thought it’s cute).
While Reever comforted Lenalee, Marie would appear bringing Kanda along, who had no idea how to apologize, while Lenalee would bashfully hide inside Reever’s lab coat. This kept happening until he eventually accepted to train with her.
Johnny starts telling another story involving Kanda’s meditation and Lenalee coming back tired from a mission, but Kanda interrupts him. Allen says it’s being fun and tells him not to bother.
Kanda tells him to shut up, calling him a bedwetter. Allen snaps (again).
Ryo’s note: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
≫ “Who amongst the Noah would Allen best go along with? Hypothetically speaking.”
Allen and Kanda are worn out from fighting (see the previous question); Johnny is giving them calming tea. Tiedoll says that it seems Allen and Tyki Mikk looked friendly when talking to each other, and Allen interjects saying they’re not friends and that Tyki doesn’t respect the notion of personal space.
He then goes on to say he doesn’t imagine himself being friends with any Noah because they lack common sense. Cross mentions Road and how she’s always being flirty with him, which makes Allen tell him to stop implying things, while sounding unsure about being friends with her or not.
Johnny asks if Allen is embarrassed and reminds Road kissed him. He denies being embarrassed and says that kissing is just a form of greeting for her (he’s sweating nervously while saying so). He adds that, on top of that, he feels like Road sees someone else when she looks at him.
Cross seems amused.
Ryo’s note: This answer is very interesting. It seems to confirm the theory that Road had some kind of connection with past!Allen. We won’t know for sure until it’s revealed, but it does seem to imply such a thing.
≫ The taste of Innocence + the Crystal Type Innocence + Exorcist supplies + Cross suspiciously knowing about the Bookman clan
A reader asks how did Innocence taste like when liquefied; Kanda says it tastes like nothing, similar to water.
Johnny points out the wounds that formed after their Innocence became Crystal types and if they don’t hurt. Kanda says that at the time they don’t, but such wounds won’t heal even with his healing ability – which he concludes makes sense since it’s from where the blood comes out to form the weapons.
Johnny mentions that the Science Division (Komui, more specifically) made Lenalee pills that will prevent anemia. Still on that subject, Allen remembers people had asked what goes inside the bags the Exorcists carry on their uniforms. Johnny says they carry first-aid kits, disinfectants, anti-hemorrhagic meds, and things of the sort. Miranda and Timothy carry sweets with a high intake of calories, Krory carries Akuma blood sweets and Lavi and Bookman asked for migraine meds.
Tiedoll says they are nothing without the support of the Science Division and thanks them. Allen asks about Lavi and Bookman getting migraines. Cross mentions it’s probably from an occupational disease because storing that much information and memories can wreck your head over time.
Allen comments again that he seems to know a lot about the Bookman Clan, and that it’s very suspicious. Cross magnificently shrugs off the question.
≫ Allen’s cheating
Allen gets asked if he becomes bad at luck games (i.e gambling) in case he doesn’t cheat. He says that a bet on luck always rewards something even if gains are small, but Johnny says he’s really bad at things like rock-paper-scissors. Kanda thinks he was just in denial about admitting he’s unlucky.
When scolded by Kanda, Allen says it was a matter of survival and that he never cheated good people on; just bad people.
Johnny says living like this is dangerous and that he should stop; Allen apologizes and says he needs money, and if anything, he can use his Innocence.
Cross is amused and sounds proud. Tiedoll regrets Cross’s influence on Allen.
≫ About Link
Allen gets asked if he has ever seen Link smile, to which he responds he has tried making him laugh/smile, but never could do it. Johnny says that everyone from Central is very serious, especially Link. Tiedoll thinks that it might be forbidden to smile when their superior is Director Lvellie.
Allen goes on to ramble about how Link complained about everything: when he had food on his face after or during eating, asking him to redo reports because they were illegible despite Reever being able to read, scolding him for not drying his hair after going out of the bath because he could get a cold, and how he was a shame for not folding his uniform properly before putting it away.
Cross asks him, “what was he? Your mother?” and Allen says he didn’t get annoyed at him. He wonders if all moms are like this.
Johnny says people were worried when he was assigned to watch Allen, but in the end, Link went along well with everyone and confirms that Allen liked him as well. He also states that Allen’s reports became a lot easier to read thanks to him.
Ryo’s note: Ladies, gentlemen, and non-binary folks: it’s Link appreciation time! *tips hat* Also Allen wondering about how mothers treat their children was just precious, even if it’s a throwaway comment.
≫ The vibe at the Black Order
In the question “Who runs faster, Komui or Reever?”, Johnny says that he thinks Reever is faster; Allen adds that Komui cheats by using Komurin, though. Kanda gets annoyed and tells them they (at the Science Division) should make Komui behave accordingly to his role. Johnny sniffs and says that they try.
Tiedoll says that it’s actually good that Komui is cheerful because the Order used to be a very different place until he took over the post, and that he (Tiedoll) disliked the gloomy aura it used to have. Allen remembers Lenalee commented about it once and asks if the Order was really this different back then. Tiedoll says that even if it’s been built with a noble purpose, human beings aren’t perfect and a lot of things get distorted over a hundred years. He recommends Allen to ask For about it, as she has existed ever since the Order was founded and protects it to this day.
Allen is sad and comments he wants to visit the Asian Branch again someday. Johnny says he’ll go with Allen, but the latter says he would want to eat Jeryy’s food again before that. Cross sneers and wishes good luck.
They wrap it up at this, and both Kanda and Allen look very happy about being done with the Discussion Corner (as noted by Johnny). Tiedoll bids Cross adieu, and says “rest in peace, Marian” – to which he replies “don’t treat me like a ghost”.
Allen says he knows Cross is an illusion created by his weakness, but that he was happy to see him (in reference to the 222nd Night: Searching for A.W - Hypokrisis). Cross tells him not to exaggerate.
Johnny is content that they could finally keep it to the ideal number of pages – something the Discussion Corner is known to usually have trouble with. Tiedoll says that if they had gone overboard, the next issue’s Discussion Corner would be canceled, and wraps up thanking everyone who has cared about Yu so far and asks that people keep cheering for him.
Johnny thanks the readers for sending their questions. Allen and Kanda are relieved it’s over.
Ryo’s note: And that’s it! Man, this got LONG. Thank you very much for reading until the end. Can’t wait for the next Discussion Room, the way Tiedoll worded it makes it seem like it’ll be on the next volume, 28. I’m excited!
Crushed
Stuck under a collapsed building together, Chat Noir and Marinette have a heart to heart.
Ao3 | FF.net
I originally wrote this as a secret santa gift, but it strayed too far from what the giftee wanted, so I did something else. I decided to finish this anyway, and I hope you like it!
—
This akuma attack was not going great. He called himself ‘Bomb Voyage’ (“Like in the Incredibles?” “Yes, Chat. I do believe Hawkmoth ripped that name.”) And he was blowing things up right and left.
When the Lucky Charm bullhorn fell into her hands, she had some sort of plan in the works, but it all fell short at Chat’s shout.
“My Lady! Look out!”
The building right in front of her, mere feet away, exploded suddenly, the only clue being Bomb Voyage’s finger point.
There was no time to run. No time for Chat to scoop her up. Only impending destruction and carnage.
So Chat leapt, his arms wrapping around her head, and tackled her to the ground as the rubble rained down.
It felt like ages of pain before things settled. They both coughed out lungfuls of plaster dust that still hung in the air. It was mostly dark, with a scant bit of light from above.
Chat was squished, but he pushed up on his arms and felt Ladybug move slightly.
“My Lady?” He asked. “Are you alright?”
“My leg hurts. I may have sprained my ankle. How are you?”
“I took a brunt force to the back when the building collapsed. It hurts, but...I can’t really feel my legs.”
“Chat...”
“Though, that could just be bad circulation. I’m in an awkward position.”
Ladybug’s earrings chirped.
“Crap,” she muttered. “I used my lucky charm. Do you think you can cataclysm your way out of here?”
He twisted his neck in an effort to look around, though the dust of the rubble was still thick. He looked towards the light source above them, able to see where it was coming from, but it looked several feet away. “Negative, my lady. I think we might need some outside help for this one.”
She bit her lip nervously. “I don’t hear anymore explosions.”
“That’s good. Right? Maybe Hawkmoth thinks we got crushed and stopped his akuma.”
“Yeah, that’s great…unless he’s got someone waiting to take our Miraculous’ off our corpses when we’re dug out of here.”
“Ever the optimist, hmm?”
“It’s my talent,” she smirked. Her earrings beeped again and she turned her ear toward Chat. “How much time do I have left?”
“Looks like two minutes.”
“Great…”
“I can close my eyes.” He offered. They were basically nose to nose, and her hands where trapped below his arms, so she couldn’t reach up at all.
“I…I don’t know…”
He raised his eyebrows. “You don’t know?”
“We need to find a way out of here,” she switched topics. “Or find a way to contact emergency services to get us out.”
“My baton is still on my back, if you can reach it.”
Ladybug groped around blindly, feeling for the staff.
“That’s my butt.”
“Oh, sorry.” She blushed, and then moved her hand up. Once she found it, she held it out to her side as she could see the screen. “I’m about to detransform, but I have a cookie for Tikki in my purse. As long as it’s still there, she should be able to recharge before they bust us out of here.”
“I didn’t even think about that,” Chat winced.
Ladybug dialed the number.
“112, what’s your emergency?”
“Hello, this is Ladybug and Chat Noir. We’re in a bit of a pickle.”
“How can we help, Ladybug?”
“A building collapsed on us, and we’re pinned and can’t get out. We’re on Rue de Lappe, not far from Bastille.”
“I’ve got your location on my map. I’m sending the fire department your way.”
“Is there any sign of the Akuma?”
“We’ve gotten similar calls about being trapped, but they stopped coming in a few minutes ago.”
“Thank you. I’m going to extend Chat’s Baton out through the rubble so they can find us.”
“Alright, I will pass that information along. Good luck, Ladybug!”
“Thank you!” Carefully, Ladybug aimed the Baton towards the little hole to the surface, and extended the staff, the top breaking through the topside.
“And now...we wait.” Her earrings beeped again.
“So...you don’t want me to close my eyes?” Chat asked for clarification.
“I’ve been thinking...if I’m the guardian, and something happens to Plagg, like he gets sick or something, you need to be able to find me out of the suit, you know? It’s just you and me...”
“Does that mean you want to know my identity?”
She grimaced. “I should but—“
In a flash of pink, Marinette remained, looking sheepishly at him. “...I need a little time to come to terms with this.”
His eyes were impossibly wide, staring at her, drinking her in in the scant light. “Marinette? Marinette Dupain-Cheng?”
“Howdy?” She squeaked.
He squeezed his eyes shut.
“Chat?” She asked, fearfully.
“Sorry,” he whispered. He opened his eyes again, and his lip wobbled. “I just—I’m trying really hard not to cry.” Despite this, a tear fell from his eye and landed on her cheek.
She tried not to cry herself. “Are you that upset?” She whispered.
“Upset?! No! How could I ever—Marinette, I’m thrilled beyond belief! If it was anyone else—“ he clenched his eyes shut again, as more tears started to fall. “I admire you, and trust you, and respect you more than anyone else.”
“Chat...”
He smiled tenderly. “You know, I had hunches. I was almost completely certain until Kwamibuster, too!”
That made her wince again. “Oh Chat, you know I didn’t mean to lie to you...”
“I know, I know, at the time, it was too risky.” He continued to smile, his tears subsiding. “I know this isn’t ideal, but I’m glad I get to see you now.”
“Kinda makes Evillustrator funny, huh?”
He laughed. “You’re right! I forgot about that! Hey! You called yourself cute!”
“I am cute!” She pouted.
“You are cute,” he agreed, taking her in. “I’ve stared at your face a lot, but you look so so different without the mask.”
“It’s the glamour,” she elaborated. “That extra bit of magic that makes it hard to connect the dots.”
“I know how it works,” he smirked.
“Right...sorry, this is just...weird.”
“Good weird?”
“I feel naked.”
“You just say the word, and I’ll get naked with you.”
She threw him an unamused look. “Don’t be gross.”
“Sorry, I can’t help cracking jokes around you. Although, I’m sure you were wishing I was secret mystery boy right now instead, right?” He waggled his eyebrows in an attempt to hide his heartache. “So who is it? It’s Luka, right?”
It was like she had her mask on again, cheeks red as a tomato. “No...it’s not Luka.”
“Oh...aren’t you guys dating?”
“Not anymore. We did, for like a week. If you could even call it dating. He just came over to my house during my downtime, and played his guitar while I worked on commissions and stuff. It was nice and all...but I prefer the piano.” She looked away.
“Piano, hmm?” He smirked. “You know, I’m an excellent piano player...and the real mystery guy is too?”
“You can’t laugh.”
“I would never.”
“I doubt that,” she said flatly.
“I promise, I know you don’t like people shallowly. So whoever it is, I know it’s genuine.” He smiled softly, encouragingly.
Marinette screwed up her lips and admitted, begrudgingly. “Fine. It’s Adrien. Adrien Agreste.”
The sound that Chat let out was not a laugh. But it wasn’t a great sign. It was like a wheeze, but a gurgle.
“What’s wrong?”
“I just...” he blinked several times, trying to convince himself this wasn’t a dream. Ladybug was Marinette! And she had a crush on him! “I...am surprised, is all. I didn’t know you were...close?”
“I sit behind him in class. He’s one of my best friends. Our best friends are dating, so sometimes we end up being third wheels together?”
“Oh. And this is the same guy as before?”
“It’s always been Adrien.”
Chat hoped she couldn’t hear the pounding in his chest. “Oh...even when Glaciator hit? When I found you sad on your balcony?”
“Yep. He was supposed to meet us for ice cream, and he didn’t show...I kind of told Andre that love was bogus, and that’s why he got akumatized.”
Chat laughed at that. “Aww, it’s okay, Marinette. I’m sure he had a good reason for not showing up...”
“I’m used to it,” she said dully. “His father is a huge pain in the ass. I used to respect him, but now...he’s a jerk. He constantly holds Adrien’s freedom ransom to make him do stuff. It kills me! You know when I was in New York?”
“Yeah?”
“I had to beg his father to let him go. It was a class trip, and he was the only one not allowed to go! Just because his father is so concerned with his safety.”
“Can you blame the man? We’re currently trapped under a pile of rumble.”
“But as soon as I’m out, I’ll lucky charm and cure everything! Poof! Sprained ankle gone! Whatever’s wrong with you, gone!”
“What do you think your parents would do if they found out you were Ladybug?”
Marinette thought for a moment, and answered honestly. “Probably be sort of angry, and worried. But I think they would understand. They respect us a lot, even after my dad got akumatized.”
“Don’t remind me.” He groaned.
“What about your parents?” She asked.
“My mom would have been excited. I think. Worried too, but excited for me. But my father...well, he’d rip off my miraculous and make sure I never saw the light of day again.”
“That bad, hm?”
“I’m not exaggerating. I’m in the same boat as Adrien, extremely sheltered.”
“I’m sorry,” she smiled softly. “I didn’t know.”
“I didn’t really want you to know. Chat Noir is supposed to be my safe place, my wild and crazy side. I’m afraid if I start talking about home, I’ll admit things that civilian me doesn’t want to.” He exhaled, his chest bumping with hers. “God, it is just so easy to talk to you. Now more than ever.”
“Really? You know me that well?”
“I know enough. And maybe it’s just because I’ve got you pinned and you can’t go anywhere.”
She laughed at that. “Well, we’ll probably be here for a while. And...I still want you to hide your identity for a while, but if you want to talk about your life a little more, that’s fine.”
“You sure?”
“Yes. It really is time for us to know who each other are, I’m just...not ready.” She huffed, and his bangs fluttered. “This was unavoidable, but let’s plan for your reveal, so I can be emotionally prepared.”
“You won’t be. You will cry.”
“You say that with an awful lot of certainty.”
“Trust me, when you behold me in all of my unmasked glory, you’ll cry.”
“Alright. Can’t wait to prove you wrong.”
He smirked.
“Chat? Are you shivering?”
“Uh…yeah, kinda.”
“Are you cold?”
“Not…not exactly. I’m holding up a lot of rumble so it doesn’t crush you…and I’m pretty claustrophobic.”
“Why didn’t you say anything earlier!?”
He laughed, but it lacked any mirth and was filled with quiet panic. “Uh, just…you know…trying to stay calm.”
“What can I do to help?”
He exhaled shakily. “I don’t know, but talking about it isn’t helping.”
“Okay, well, why don’t you keep eye contact with me, and…let’s just talk.”
“About what?”
“I know you’ve got a whole list of questions you’ve been dying to ask me. Now’s your chance.”
“Damn it!” He nearly shouted. “I had a whole notebook full of questions I wanted to ask you, but it’s at my house!”
“Well, you know where I live, so you can ask me some other time if you want.”
“Deal!” He screwed up his lips. “But first, since you mentioned it, Weredad.”
“Oh god…”
“Why did you say you were in love with me?”
She winced. “To be quite honest, I thought you were going to find out who I was…and the poor excuse just flew out of me before I could think through the consequences. I didn’t think my dad would overhear anything, and I didn’t think you’d show up for brunch.”
“You didn’t think I’d show up? Me? The biggest gentleman in Paris?”
“Okay fine, I hoped you wouldn’t show up.” She rolled her eyes.
“Now that I’m thinking about it, there’s a lot of shenanigans that could have been prevented if—hold the phone, how did you do Multimouse?!”
“Fox miraculous,” she shrugged.
“The Fox! Of course!”
She laughed, his reaction calming her nerves. “I understand what you mean now, it’s easy to talk to you. It’s always easy, but I didn’t notice until you said it.”
He wouldn’t meet her eyes. “You don’t always feel that way.”
“I mean, I get frustrated with your jokes when I’m trying to be serious, but that doesn’t mean—“
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Oh?”
He swallowed thickly. “Civilian me…you…you have a hard time…” He trailed off, not looking at her face.
“Chat?”
“Did you ever tell Adrien? That you…you know?”
She tilted her head at the sudden topic change. “Uh…no. I tried, but it was never meant to be. Every time I did, something would go catastrophically wrong.”
“Like what?”
“Like...I gave him this scarf, right? For his birthday. And I forgot to sign it initially, so I snuck into his house and left a sticky note on it. Somehow, it still managed to go wrong, and he thought it was from his dad.”
Chat stared at her, wide eyed. “And you never told him?”
“No, he was happy believing that it was from his dad. His happiness is all I want.”
It was hard to describe the look on Chat’s face. Almost pained, but still full of love. Like seeing something so precious it brings you to tears. “You did that for him? You really love him that much?”
She looked away, “Unfortunately.”
“Why unfortunately? Is he a jerk?”
“No, not at all. I just…I know he doesn’t love me back. ‘Oh Marinette, you’re such a great friend.’ ‘I’m so glad I have a friend like you.’ ‘Please stay my friend forever!’” She shook her head. “That boy has me firmly friend-zoned.”
He winced, “I’m sure he didn’t mean it like that. He probably really really likes you, and just wants you to know how much he appreciates your friendship.”
“And that’s another reason I can’t confess. He doesn’t have a lot of friends, and I don’t want to ruin our friendship.” She groaned. “I sound so pathetic! It’s so stupid.” She shook her head. “I wish I had your bravery.”
“My bravery isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It’s gotten me hurt pretty badly, after all.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize,” he smiled at her softly. “You feel how you feel, and I just hurt myself.” He gnawed at his lip. “Actually…can I ask a really dumb question?”
“I don’t see why not.”
“You don’t have to answer it…actually, no. I shouldn’t ask at all. Nevermind.”
“Well now you have to ask,” she chuckled. “I’m curious.”
He rolled his eyes. “Okay, but don’t hate me.”
She nodded him on.
“Why…why did you go out with Luka if you knew I loved you? Do you also like Luka? Or…are you just that…repulsed by me?”
Marinette’s mouth fell open in quiet shock, and she inhaled some dust. She turned so she wouldn’t cough in his face at least.
“Sorry,” he tried to sooth. “I told you it was stupid. You can date whoever you want…”
She cleared her throat, and then wheezed out. “You just wanted it to be you.”
“…yeah…”
“Chat,” she leaned up to tap her nose against his. “To say I have absolutely no feelings for you would be a lie.”
He looked hopeful. “Really?”
“They’re still developing. But I noticed thoughts I have about you sometimes. Missing you, thinking you’re cute…but Luka was the safer option at the time. I was trying desperately to get over Adrien. Luka and I weren’t really friends first, so if it didn’t work out, it wasn’t a big loss. But with you…” She looked into his eyes, an insurmountable amount of pain and unsaid words just beyond his reach. “I could lose everything.”
“You won’t lose me, My Lady.” He said softly.
“Oh kitty,” she moaned. “I…I never want to lie to you…but there’s something that I haven’t told you. Something I should have a long time ago. I just…don’t like thinking about it.”
“What is it?”
“Chat Blanc.”
At her hesitation, he prodded her on. “What’s a Chat Blanc?”
Her whole face tightened, lips curling into a thin line, eyes squinted hard, and brow furrowed. “It’s…he’s your akumatized self.”
“What?” He breathed. “But I’ve never been akumatized.”
“No, not anymore. You see…Bunnyx helped with it. Somehow, the event of me signing a gift to Adrien triggered a series of events that got you akumatized. I don’t know what the correlation was, but…you knew my name, and you said our love destroyed the world.”
“The world?”
“I hate thinking about it,” she winced again. “The whole of Paris flooded, the Eiffel tower knocked on it’s side, the moon exploded. Everyone, including me and Hawkmoth, turned to dust. You cried when you saw me. You asked me to save you, but you also wanted my earrings, wanting to fix everything yourself. So we fought.”
“I assume you won, if you’re here.”
“Yeah...the Akuma was in your bell. Your all white bell, on your white suit, with your white hair and blue eyes...” she shuttered. “I still see you like that in my nightmares.”
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“I didn’t want to mention it. I didn’t want to worry you, and I didn’t want to remember. I knew I should have told you sooner, though. I’m sorry.”
“...I understand.” He swallowed and exhaled in a whoosh, all the debris above them shifting. He moaned, ending with a hiss.
“Chat?”
“Sorry, I moved and realized that I’m a little more hurt than I thought.”
“What’s ‘a little more hurt’?”
“Uh…I think I’m…I’ve been impaled?”
“What!?”
“It’s not that bad, the suit took most of the pain. I just…am having a little hard time breathing, and I thought it was from my claustrophobia, but I think something is lodged in me.”
Very carefully, Marinette reached up and felt along his back. A lot of debris was laying flush to his suit, but as she moved her hand around, she noticed he felt wet and sticky.
“Yeah, I think you’re bleeding, kitty.” She said so sadly. She touched where the wound was and he cried out in pain. It was his lower back, by his spine.
“I’m sorry!” She pulled her hand away.
“S’kay,” he hissed out. “God damn, that hurt.”
“I promise, as soon as we get out of here, I’ll magic you right as rain. Just...just hold on, kitty.”
He opened an eye to look at her, still fond through his pain. “Are you panicking?”
“Yes! I was worried when the building collapsed, but now I’m on the verge of pure panic!”
“I must admit, this is not how I expected today to go.” He breathed slowly, the pain subsiding when he held still. “Actually, I didn’t imagine this happening when I found out who you are. You being Marinette is like…the cherry on top of a diarrhea sundae.”
“Do you like cherries?”
“I love cherries.” He whispered. “I got grounded today.”
“Oh.”
“I was having lunch with my father, a rare treat. My friend texted me and I answered without thinking. My father became upset that I would do something so ‘rude’. He said if my friends were more important than him, then he shouldn’t bother eating with me. Then he took my phone.”
“That’s the kind of assholery that I’ve come to expect from Adrien’s dad. You’re in that boat too?”
“Unfortunately, yes. Come to think of it…he’s probably the reason I got akumatized in that other timeline.”
“You think so?”
“It’s a hunch. I don’t often get upset about things, but when I do, it’s usually because of him.” He sighed, ending with a wince. “That’s something I haven’t admitted to myself until now.”
“Kitty...”
“I didn’t mean to bring that up...”
“It’s okay. I’m glad you did. I want to be able to support you where you need it.” She could see that he was spiraling into depression, and quickly sought to remedy that. “What was your daydream like? When you would find out who I was?”
A twitch of a smile took his face. “I knew I would spend a long time staring at you, memorizing what you look like without the mask.” He took a shaky breath. “And I thought, when we decided to share our identities, it would be because you finally fell for me. So there was a kiss. And a lot of roses. It was sappy...but it made me happy to think about it.”
“Can I ask...what it is that you love so much about me? In case you don’t know, there’s a lot of differences between Marinette and Ladybug.”
“I know,” he smiled. “But there’s plenty of similarities. Your strength, for example.”
She laughed. “Chat, Ladybug can throw you across the city. But Marinette couldn’t even lift you.”
“I bet you could! We should test it later! But I meant your strength of heart.”
“You sound like an anime character.”
“Well, it’s important to me.” He blushed. “You aren’t wishy-washy. You don’t cater to the voices around you. You do what’s right. You want justice. Even when akumas and civilians tell us to go or step down, you get up and fight.”
“I do that?”
“Yes. The day you stood up to Hawkmoth, and you promised Paris that you would fight for them until the end? That moment, I said, ‘no matter who that girl is, I love her.’ And even now, it hasn’t stopped. I may even love you more.”
“Chat…” She sniffed. “I…I care about you so much. And I know that if Adrien wasn’t in view, I’d fall for you hard and fast. But I can’t.”
“I know, Marinette. Just knowing…that maybe someday…”
“All the more reason to get rid of Hawkmoth, right?”
He nodded, a tear slipping from his eye and landing on her cheek. “Today sucks.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s really not your fault. And I’d much prefer that you were here, under me, than being alone. I’m handling my claustrophobia a lot better because of it.”
“I’d much rather be under you too.”
He gave her a smile, and then snorted with a little blush. “Oh my lady…”
“I thought we were being mature.”
“Me? Mature? Come on.”
“Yeah, I should have known better.”
“You’re beautiful too,” he added. “I’ve always thought so. As Ladybug and Marinette. I saw you with your hair down once, and it’s haunted me ever since.”
“You saw me with my hair down?” She questioned, trying to ignore the hot blush on her cheeks.
“Yeah, it looked really nice on you. I know it’s not practical for crime fighting, but…”
“Maybe for a patrol,” she offered. “When things are calm.”
A smile graced his face as he sighed deeply.
The pile above them shifted, and Chat let out a cry of pain.
“Kitty?”
“This sucks!” He moaned, leaning his forehead down to her face. “Sorry, whatever is in me moved, and I really felt it.”
“Please don’t apologize, Chat. If anything, I should apologize, you took the hit for me!”
“My Lady…you didn’t do anything wrong. If I can help it, I will never let you get hurt.”
She closed her eyes, trying not to cry. “It breaks my heart that you would do that. I don’t want you to be a meat shield, I want you to be my partner.”
“You said it yourself. Once we’re out of here, you’ll do Miraculous Cure and set me right. So I’ll take the hits if I have to.” He sucked in a harsh breath. “Even if it hurts like a bitch.”
With her hands trapped at her sides, she couldn’t reach up and wipe his tears away. So she opted for the next best thing. She leaned up and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Thank you for protecting me. I know you’re going to say it’s your job, but I really do appreciate how much you look out for me.”
“I love you, Marinette. Of course I’m going to protect you.”
She shook her head slightly. “How can you just say that so casually?”
“Why bother hiding it? You know already. I’m not going to bottle it up.”
“I just…wish I could do that. With Adrien. I wish I could walk right up to him and say, ‘I love you, you magnificent human being’ and crush my lips to his perfect face.”
Chat hid his blushing face in her shoulder. “You should. I bet you’d make his day.”
“Yeah, or he’d freak out, and sue me for sexual harassment, and then I’ll be the laughing stock of the school, no, all of Paris! The whole world, maybe!”
“Do you often catastrophize?” He chuckled. “I’ve heard you do it before.”
“Usually only with Adrien. I just…don’t want to mess things up.”
“I don’t think you will. I know Adrien. He’s a nice boy. He won’t turn you down.”
“You can’t possibly know that.”
“Call me a psychic.”
She scoffed. “Whatever.” Then she shook her head. “Whether or not you’re confident he won’t reject me…I don’t think I’ll ever tell him. I’ve tried to get over him, but I just look at him and melt all over again. I’m sorry Chat.”
He was quiet, his face resting next to her head, cheek against her ear. After a moment of contemplation, he asked, “hey, you like pink, right?”
“Oh? Uh, yeah.”
“I’ll do it tomorrow. A dozen pink roses, maybe some red and white in there too for flavor.”
“You’re doing what tomorrow?”
“I’m going to reveal my identity tomorrow.”
“After all that? What about Adrien?”
“Don’t worry about him right now. I’ve been thinking. If you and I know who each other are, in a crisis, we’d be able to communicate better.”
“What do you mean? What kind of crisis?”
“I’m just trying to imagine what happened with my akuma. If there was a problem with my father or miscommunication, we could better solve it without identities in the way.”
“Okay, yes…” she considered. “But please don’t get your hopes up, okay? I would love to spend time with you out of the suit, but I won’t fall for you instantly.”
“I suppose you’re right. After all, how can I compare to the amazingly handsome Adrien Agreste? Well, he won’t be a problem for much longer.”
She frowned. “You say that like you’re going to kill him.”
He laughed. “No no, Bugaboo,” he said fondly. “Look, everything will make sense tomorrow, I promise…as long as I don’t bleed out down here first.”
“You’re acting really jovial for someone with a mortal flesh wound.”
“Tis a scratch.” He breathed a shuddering breath. “Or so I hope.”
“Ladybug! Chat Noir!” A male voice called from up above.
“Ugh, finally,” Marinette muttered to herself. “We’re down here!” She called.
“We’ll get you out as soon as we can! Any injuries?”
“Chat has a…bit of a scrape.”
“An ambulance is on the way!”
Marinette didn’t want to tell him it didn’t matter. Once she did the cure, he’d be right as rain.
Right?
“Marinette,” Tikki piped up. “I’m all set, whenever you are.”
“Alright. Tikki, Spots on!”
The pink flash only helped the first responders locate them quicker.
“There’s the baton!” His voice sounded closer. The light above was distorted by a rain of plaster, before it was replaced by flashlight light. “Hello?”
“We’re down here!” Ladybug called, moving her arm under Chat.
“Can either of you move?”
“Chat’s pinned, but I might be able to wiggle out, with some help.”
“We’ll get a sling. We might be able to pull you up and out.”
“Once I get my arms free, I should be able to cast the cure and set everything right.”
“Great plan, Ladybug! We’ll have you out in a minute.”
Ladybug nudged Chat’s nose with her own. “I’ll cast it as soon as I’m free. Can you hold out that long?”
“I’ll have a dozen pink roses. And I’ll wear something nice, like a sweater. Or maybe a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I heard the ladies love that.”
“Chat?”
“I’m trying to focus on something else instead of being trapped.” He explained. “Sorry, I might not be very useful for the next few minutes.”
“Okay,” she kissed his cheek. “You do what you have to.”
The fire department lowered a strap attached to a chain into the hole. “If you can maneuver that under your arms, we can pull you out.”
Using Chat’s Baton, Ladybug was able to pull the strap closer. Very slowly and carefully, she wriggled it under her armpits, careful not to jostle Chat in the process.
“Jewelry could be fun. I know she doesn’t like it when I’m extravagant, but surely she would cherish it if I gave her a ring.” He had his eyes shut tight, his brow furrowed.
Ladybug gave Chat a pitiful look.
“Alright, I’m ready!” Ladybug called to the rescue crew.
She was pulled out from under Chat. Though, she had been supporting his lower half, and he sank to the ground as she slid away from him. This jostled the debris violently, and he cried out in horrible, agonizing pain. It was the worst sound she had ever heard.
“Chat!”
He kept howling, sounding like he was being ripped apart from the inside out.
Ladybug pushed on the piles around her, hurrying to get free.
The moment she broke the surface, she called for her Lucky Charm.
It was a rose, and she teary-eyed through it up into the air, and called for the cure.
The explosion of Ladybug’s surrounded her, mending her ankle and silencing Chat’s cries.
She touched down on solid, undisturbed concrete, and turned to find Chat face down on the ground.
“Kitty!” She cried, voice cracking as she rushed to him.
He pushed up on one arm. “I’m okay, My Lady. Just a little winded.”
“Are you sure?”
He stood slowly and stretched. “Yeah. All cured.”
She hugged him. Tight and sure, maybe squeezing a little harder than she should.
“Bug, I can’t breathe.” He chuckled.
“Sorry, I just...”
He hugged her back. “I’m never going to turn down a hug though.”
Her earrings beeped.
“Are you both alright?” Asked the EMT on the scene.
“We’re all better,” Chat assured. “Thank you for your help!” He gathered Ladybug close to him and put an arm around her waist. “We gotta go though!”
Ladybug only had a second to realize what he was doing, before she was lifted off her feet and into the air.
“I can travel myself, you know. I still have time.”
“Sure,” he shrugged.
He carried her all the way to her balcony, before setting her down. Her transformation ran out just as they landed.
“Thanks for the lift, Kitty.” She scratched under his chin. But as she looked in his eyes, she saw tears. “Chat?”
He sniffled and hugged her again. “Just...a sucky day. I wanted to hug you in privacy. I know how you get when people assume things about us.”
“Well, it’s different when you’re getting handsy and when you need comfort from a traumatic experience.”
“I never get handsy,” he argued. “I just like to be close. I’m touch starved.”
“Well, from what you told me today, I believe you.”
He laughed mirthlessly, and pulled away. “I really do feel better now.” He reached up and cupped her face, letting his thumb trail across the apple of her cheek. “No matter how bad this day was, it will never taint the absolute elation of finally seeing you.”
“Chat...” she blushed.
“I must be the luckiest man on Earth. Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Ladybug, all rolled into one. I can’t believe it.”
“Two transformations and you still don’t believe me?”
He smiled. “My brain believes, but my heart never gets so optimistic.” He cast his gaze away. “Even if you...change your mind...” he mused.
“About what?”
“Nothing. Never mind. I’ll just...see you tomorrow. With a dozen pink roses.”
“I’ll get a vase ready.”
He reluctantly pulled away, like tearing himself from her was physically painful. He hopped up on the railing of her balcony, and with a little salute, he hopped into the night.
“I’m proud of you, Marinette.” Said Tikki. “It had to be hard being that honest with him.
“I didn’t really have a choice. I can’t imagine how much worse that experience would have been for him with his eyes closed the whole time.”
“It’s over now. And tomorrow, you’ll know who he is too!”
Marinette whined. “I don’t know if I’m ready for that...”
“It’s a little late for that. What? Are you going to run at the first sight of flowers?”
“I might.”
“It’ll be fine. Marinette, I know who Chat is. And I promise, it’ll all work out fine. Great even. Just, take a shower, and go to bed. Then you can wake up early and mentally prepare yourself.”
Marinette chuckled as she dropped back down into her room. “What would I do without you as a life coach?”
“Sleep through most classes.”
“It was a rhetorical question.”
—
In the morning, with the extra sleep Tikki had urged her to get, Marinette rose and dressed.
Then the nerves turned on.
“What if I just fake sick?”
“Don’t you dare! You’d hurt his feelings!”
“You’re right...but I really do feel like I might throw up.”
“Just relax. You’re going to love this.”
“If you say so...”
After breakfast, Marinette wandered over to school leisurely. Tikki would say she was stalling, but Marinette would disagree and state she was simply taking advantage of being early.
At the front steps, students were gathered. No roses. In the courtyard, teens milled about. No roses. In the locker room, her locker was devoid of anything that wasn’t supposed to be in there.
“Well well well,” said Alya, with too much bravado. “Lookie who’s early!”
“Yuck it up. I was tired and went to bed early last night.”
“You sure you aren’t eager to see Adrien today? He looks pretty cute in that button up.”
In all the confusion surrounding Chat, Marinette had honestly forgotten about Adrien. Her. Forget about Adrien. Perish the thought.
“I mean...it would be a bonus.” She muttered.
“Well, he’s up in the classroom. If you were wondering.”
She wasn’t. Or hadn’t been, until now. But it seemed that Chat wasn’t ready to reveal himself yet, and Marinette still had time to prepare.
She ascended the steps and headed to the classroom.
What she wasn’t expecting, was seeing Adrien standing there, sunlight filtering through the window to make a halo in his hair. He wore a black button up shirt, sleeves rolled up, and had a dozen pink roses in his hands as he talked to Nino.
Dare she hope? Dare she dream?
She just stood in the doorway, staring, before he noticed her.
“Good morning, Marinette.” He smiled at her, looking warm and inviting and…nervous?
“Goo-goo-good morning, Adrien.” She stumbled. She glanced down to the flowers, then up to his face. “Um…those don’t happen to be for me, do they?”
With a twinkle in his eye, he smirked. “Why? Just because something is pink, you think it’s for you?”
She deflated. “Haha, right…that was really forward of me.”
With a pleasant hum, he leaned in and whispered in her ear. “I’m just messing with you, My Lady. These are for you.” He placed the bouquet in her shell-shocked hands.
“My...?” She breathed. The word was just a whisper, barely heard by even him.
His smile was broad and gleeful, squinting his eyes and coloring his cheeks. “Mmm-hmm!!” He hummed eagerly as he nodded.
Marinette had to shut her eyes as a sound like a laugh and a sob burst from her lips. Tears started immediately, and there was no way to stop it.
“I told you you would cry,” he teased.
“You jerk!” She blubbered. Then she tossed the flowers at a confused Nino before throwing her arms around Adrien, and sobbing into his shoulder. “I love you, Kitty.”
He squeezed her back. “Do you really? Because I’m getting mixed signals.”
“You’re awful. You’re wonderful. I’m a mixed bag of emotions. Just hold me.”
“Can do!”
As other students came in, seeing the couple embraced, they gave them thumbs up and congratulatory back pats.
And then Lila entered.
She halted, hid her sneer, and said, “oh no! Marinette! What’s wrong? Why are you crying on Adrien like that?”
He patted Marinette’s hair. “Happy tears, no worries.”
Marinette refused to let Lila ruin this moment. It was far too perfect. Adrien was far too perfect, the flowers, her kitty...
Mustering all her strength, she hooked her arms under his, turned and spun his into a dip.
“My lady?” He breathed, in awe.
“You’re the love of my life. I should have kissed you yesterday. I definitely wanted to.”
“You did?” He smiled drunkenly.
“Yes, like this.” And she slammed her lips to his, kissing him just like she had in her dreams.
Adrien let out a contented little mewl as he tangled his fingers in her hair.
The class went wild with roars and cheers.
Before she could drop him, Marinette righted Adrien. “Sorry, I just...wanted to do that for a while now.”
Adrien nuzzled her cheek with his nose. “Oh don’t worry, Bugaboo. You can smooch me whenever.”
Nino made a gagging sound.
“Oh, well I’m very happy for you guys,” Lila feigned a smile. “But Adrien, are you sure your father will be okay with this?”
Chloe, who had known this was coming since she saw the roses, stood and stalked over. “Okay, you’re done. Bye!”
“Chloe, I’m just trying to be rational...”
“And Adrien is the most deserving person for a happy ending...even if it’s with Dupain-Cheng.” She cast Marinette a glance and rolled her eyes. Then she looked back at Lila. “Though, he could do worse.”
This made Marinette and Adrien giggle.
Lila scoffed. “Fine! Make me the bad guy! But don’t come crying to me when Gabriel tells you to break it off!”
Adrien whispered in his new girlfriend’s ear. “Even if my father makes Adrien and Marinette break up, Ladybug and Chat Noir follow their own rules. It might not be the most fun, but we’ll make it. Then, once I’m 18, I’ll propose.”
Marinette laughed, kissing him swiftly. “Oh my sweet kitty. Let’s take it slow for a little while. We have the rest of our lives to be that insufferable couple.”
Alya, who had come in not that long after Marinette but stood quietly in the door, finally spoke up. “Adrien, I couldn’t bear to tear you away from your Princess. So I’ll take your seat.”
Adrien just grinned in gratitude and hugged Marinette. “This makes that building collapse yesterday totally worth it.”
“Does that mean...you had a crush on me?” She teased.
“No, my Lady, I fell for you.”
