↳Why you? (what makes you the best fit to be co-admin?)

I don’t have much admin experience in running a group but I’d do all I can to help keep the group active. Whatever you guys need, if I can do it, I’ll do it. I’d make sure to help push out promos to get the group noticed in the tags. Help by making materials for our group to use in case sources of who’d they’d like to use is hard to find. For monthly task/event ideas, we could do something like have someone live a day as their favorite Disney character and write about their daily routine as said character. We can also do like a week where like the town is transported back in time and everyone is dressed like the decade they’ve been transported back to.  I love this group so much and want to help it in any way I can.

We're Looking For Co-Mods

For 2024, we'd like to add co-mods to our events (currently Arlathan eXchange and DA Poly Exchange).

Last year it became obvious to us that continuing to run two exchanges a year (as well as mod Dragon Age Annual) would make it impossible for us to continue the events long-term without serious detriment to ourselves. Although there's no plans to stop either exchange yet we wanted to ask for help before it got that bad.

We're looking for social media and advertising help, in particular, but if you're interested in other aspects of modding (like managing tag sets, AO3 collections, our website, etc) we'd love to have help with that too. We're willing to teach you anything you don't currently know about running exchanges.

Anyone who joins the team will be an equal moderator with the current moderators.

god. sometimes i really hate those "10 jobs that you can do WITHOUT a qualification that pay over 100k" and they list something like "human resource management" 130k a year!!! when like. EVERY fucking HR job (and other jobs like this, say like librarian- something that i PAID 17k for and burnt out for in postgrad lmao) strictly DEMAND that candidates must have 1-2 years experience AND an HR DEGREE.

very, very, very, very rarely i see something in HR requiring a TAFE (aussie technical college) certificate (ie MUCH cheaper- 7k) or a diploma in HR. it's almost always a degree, barely EVER "no quals or equivalent experience or similar quals"... even for entry level jobs in hr or most defs management positions.

Aside from having issues with the pure kibble Sammy seems fine and in relatively good spirits (just more hungry than usual since I'm being maybe overly careful not to strain his digestion) and since he was bored yesterday and he also recently suggested we go a different route too I decided to do a scootering walk around the other side of the block today. We all enjoyed seeing something else for a change! And it feels nice that spring is creeping closer.

Anyway, it went really well compared to the last ones, just a small amount of chaos and Sammy offered a surprisingly brisk pace especially in the beginning. That was nice. He did slow down a little around the halfway point, but that's normal. Overall he was still faster than during the other walks. I think this is a nice development :) Also he didn't complain at all about the harness today either. Filing that away as a victory!
