“A true princess has ADHD!”
holds out crown
Me, obsessively sweeping all the grit off the fitted sheet with fiery rage in my eyes: “THIS WILL ONLY TAKE A MINUTE OKAY—“
“Your Highness, we must introduce you to the people that we may scatter flower petals in your path!”
Me, fumbling for nail clipper because one toenail has a tiny corner which catches on the sheets: “The PEOPLE can fkn WAIT—“
“Your Highness? What are you doing?”
Me, collapsed into bed because it took hours to deal with all the sensory distractions and now my muscles won’t support my bones: “I AM GOING TO BED. WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE.”
“Um. I’m just going to leave the crown on the dresser, if that is acceptable to Your Highness?” *clonk*
Me, curled up between three pillows, blankets over my head: “Whatever mate but if I wake up and my floor is covered in flower petals, heads will fkn roll, you hear me? And whatever you’re planning, it BETTER not be jasmine. The smell of jasmine makes me wanna puke.”
“…right.” *sounds of people whispering*
“Roses smell icky too.”
“But—!”
“Did you know that mantis shrimp can hit things so fast they create a li’l sonic boom?”
“Your Highness, I— wait. Really?”
*loud snoring*
“You. Over there. Hoover up these rose petals. I need to go google some shit before she wakes up.”

Exploring the Causes and Symptoms of Conduct Disorder
Tumblr media
Conduct Disorder is a childhood and adolescent behavioral disorder that is characterized by a persistent pattern of behavior that violates the rights of others or societal norms. The exact causes of Conduct Disorder are not fully understood, but there are several risk factors that may contribute to its development, including:
Genetics: There may be a genetic component to Conduct Disorder, as it tends to run in families.
Environment: Children who come from unstable or abusive home environments may be more likely to develop Conduct Disorder.
Brain development: Abnormalities in brain development, particularly in areas of the brain associated with impulse control and decision-making, may contribute to Conduct Disorder.
Online counseling, such as through a qualified online counselor, can provide children and adolescents with convenient and accessible mental health support from the comfort of their own home.
The symptoms of Conduct Disorder can vary depending on the severity of the disorder, but they generally fall into four categories:
Aggression towards people and animals: This may include physical fights, bullying, or cruelty to animals.
Destruction of property: This may include arson, vandalism, or other forms of property damage.
Deceitfulness or theft: This may include lying, stealing, or breaking into homes or cars.
Serious violations of rules: This may include skipping school, running away from home, or engaging in other risky behaviors.
Children and adolescents with Conduct Disorder may also struggle with academic and social difficulties, as their behavior can make it difficult to form and maintain healthy relationships.

how dare you make me curate my own tumblr, now i have to choose between the effort of setting this up and the existential dread of knowing i should be doing things when instead i could just go "haha executive dysfunction relatable"

so you know ike in the movies, camera shows an alarm clock that just starts ringing, and the person wakes up, turns it off, looks at the ceiling and gets up
I want to see a version of that where the person snoozes the alarm 10 times, then stays in bed scrolling social media for another half an hour

Being able to pause and "read the room" helps us feel safe enough to engage authentically instead of trying too hard.

Posted @withrepost • @autisticblackgirl Inclusivity at work isn't about just opening the door for everyone it's also making sure once we are all in, we don't want to leave because the processes and environment are still not designed to cater for all. Stop asking employees ambiguous questions that really mean - "Why aren't you like the rest of us?". And start asking - What can we do to help you? What do you need from us? This isn't to say that every manager/employer out there has to be perfect, or that employees are never in the wrong. But rather than only look at the fault of your employee also ask yourself - What can we do better to help and support them. . . . . . #work #neurodivergent #autism #actuallyautistic #adhdmemes #autistmmemes #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/ClmBxu1PLzns7KXZuNV6jxi8_xVmIs8TQJFEVw0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
