I can picture it so very clearly, the lovely chaos of banquets held at Guili Assembly, the fussy yet charming adepti bantering about minor things again, Cloud Retainer complains in ridiculously exaggerated way (that is absolutely genuine) about Rex Lapis' aesthetic tastes (she ostentatiously brought her own set of cups this time) to young Ganyu's embarrassment. Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper secretly make bets who will appear next time with new invention or relic to proudly show off and who will become competitive about it first.

And I know they might have not been present at those banquets, but let me have it - Yakshas in the background are having childish fight over Marchosius' newest dish (who will get the largest portion?), except for Xiao, who's sitting a bit further away from everyone, but Streetward Rambler joins him nearby, playing music that travels through air and soothes hearts of everyone present.

And somewhere amidst it all, like another melody, pacing around and joining the conversations is Guizhong, thinking to herself in the brief moments she's looking over everyone gathered, filled with hope and pride over this new home - I love them all so much.

Xiao straightens, and flicks his spear.

The downed form of the man-shaped demon before him fades slowly, crumbling motes of darkness drifting up and gradually vanishing in the air. It’s not dissimilar to the demons of Liyue that he’s familiar with –the demons that Xiao has spent so many centuries hunting and slaying in an endless, eternal cycle– but at the same time, he is able to discern the difference.

This demon was not one born of the restless grudges of fallen gods that refused to accept their own deaths. If anything, its origins seemed more… but no… no, that was preposterous. Surely it couldn’t be–

A monstrous roar sounds behind him; Xiao whirls around. There’s another demon left, struggling futilely in a pool of its own blood. The signature of its energy is far weaker than the one that he’d just fought, and all four of its limbs have been broken… and yet it’s still alive, and struggling to crawl forward on its belly.

Xiao exhales, raising his spear–

–and pauses.

There’s a pale hand that rests upon the bladed edge in a clear gesture for Stop. Xiao looks up sharply.

“You intend to let it live?” The girl –yet there is no doubt that this is no mere mortal girl– doesn’t say anything, but presses insistently upon his weapon. Please stand down, is her unmistakable, unspoken request.

The only reason why Xiao doesn’t point his spear at her in turn is because he knows that she actively fought the demons long prior to his arrival. It’s the only reason why there are humans who managed to escape this catastrophe.

Her appearance… Xiao does not recognize her. He admits that she looks similar to the snow women yokai of Inazuma, white hair and pale skin and clothed in Inazuman dress as she is. But she does not bear any powers of ice nor snow. If anything, the way the sword in her hand cuts through every obstacle without pause reminds him of the whispers of kunado-no-kami. But to his knowledge the last of them had died along with the Watatsumi Omikami that they served.

Regardless, Xiao does not intend to allow the current situation to go unanswered. If she was present here, fighting those strange demons that were decidedly not of Liyuan origin, then surely she knew how this incident came about in the first place.

“Explain,” Xiao says. He banishes his weapon, allowing it to dissipate into motes of golden light. “How did this situation come to be? Has the war in Inazuma worsened to such a state that it’s no longer able to contain malicious spirits within its own borders?”

The girl opens her mouth–

Oh.

Xiao blinks, genuinely surprised and caught off-guard. Her words…

“That’s a dialect I haven’t heard for quite some time.” He doesn’t have a perfect understanding of what she’s saying, especially given that the last time he’d heard this was… during the time of the Archon War, perhaps?

Xiao tilts his head. Is he looking at a survivor of the kunado-no-kami? … So far from the shores of Inazuma?

I apologize. I don’t understand what you’re saying.

Luckily for them both, Xiao is also old enough to know of the dead language that she speaks and discern the general meaning of her words, if not the precise details. Although Xiao is a Liyuan adeptus who has never once left the land in the thousands of years he’d lived, he has encountered gods of other lands, so he is not unfamiliar with other tongues.

That she is apparently unfamiliar with the language that is spoken in the present…

“Thank you for your assistance,” the kami bows. Polite, graceful. Xiao folds his arms across his chest and waits for her to explain. “… I’m afraid that this also came as an unexpected situation to me. I didn’t think that there would be a long-distance transportation array, and the barrier should’ve… no, I suppose that’s unimportant.”

She shakes her head.

“I was investigating a matter that was entrusted to me by my cousin, and ended up being ambushed by cursed spirits. Four total, the last of which you just slew,” she nods towards the fallen demon beneath him. “There was also a curse user, but he doesn’t seem to have been transported along with us. Ah, he would be the one responsible for teleporting us here. He needs to die.”

The words are spoken calmly, serenely. Xiao is aware of the dissonance here, but it’s not as if he disagrees. The regrettable casualties and wanton destruction around their current surroundings speak for themselves.

“And the demon you wish to spare?”

“Demon?” The kami blinks, then instantly understands what he’s referring to. “Ah, Muta-san? I’m afraid I can’t allow him to die yet, he’s the one I’m supposed to investigate. Although, given his current state I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to interrogate out of him…”

“I cannot allow such threats to remain within these lands.” It is his contract, and the duty that he must uphold as one of Rex Lapis’ adepti and his last yaksha.

“I understand,” she nods. “We will depart as soon as possible. If I may ask a question of you, where… are we?”

“You are within Dihua Marsh,” Xiao answers. Pauses, upon the uncomprehending way she looks at him, and elaborates, “Located upon the Bishui Plains.”

“… Did Not-Geto teleport us to China?” the kami mutters. “An entirely different country?”

Xiao stares at her. “This is the country of Liyue.”

The kami falls silent. Then, proceeds to take out a small pouch from her sleeve, and procures a strange device from it –a rectangular piece of metal that lights up with an artificial glow when she taps at it. There’s a small frown on her face, before she wipes the expression from her face with a long sigh.

“By any chance, do you have a name for this continent?”

Continent?

“… If you mean this world, it is named Teyvat,” Xiao says slowly.

Going by these questions… this is very likely not a kami of Inazuma who stands in front of him.

sumeru's cast feels like a family, one we haven't seen since mondstadt. in mondstadt it really felt like it was that group of people vs the world. then you get to liyue and there isn't a set group of people (unless you count the teenagers plus hu tao who are all friends) that feels like a family. then in inazuma it's the yashiro commission and the resistance against raiden. in sumeru it feels like we finally found another unified group of people. dehya, cyno, alhaitham, tighnari, collei, candace, nilou, kaveh. they're a family. the sumeru cast feels closer (excluding mond) than the other nations and it's really nice to see.

Some would call this development a cliché of sorts, wrapped in the illusion of perfection. You knew better than to allow yourself respite in the face of trickery.

Chains and ropes entangled and dug into your limbs, keeping you stationary under the gaze of thousands of people. A majority of them were unknowns - real somehow, but never essential to your eyes. Blanks with no sense of self before you got here.

Other than the ‘NPC’s’ ; numerous vision holders from across the continents were here to witness this display.

The more prominent members of the Knights of Favonius were present, alongside the Adepti watching from the sidelines. Itto’s Gang were barely spotted from your position,

Roaring cheers echoed from every side, like waves crashing against a sea. Drowning. Even like this, you couldn’t gather the will to make out words as your body was dragged down dirt and concrete, scraping skin against the ground. The pain was numb, though perhaps that could be attributed to the amount of drugs they put into you — or the blood you’ve lost on the way here.

An abrupt stop forces your head upwards to finally observe where they’re taking you - and the sight is not pretty. A statue of gold wearing your face stretches into the sky ; a teasing reminder that this world was made for you.

Venti and Zhongli stayed within the confines of the crowd, keeping their identities hidden whilst the puppet Ei stood ahead, her signature blade at the ready. . . That costed a pretty penny out of your pocket.

“Do you have any words you’d like to say in your final moments, Imposter? Perhaps our Lord will take mercy upon you.” The nobody that was dragging you eventually speaks up. A Millelith member - Yan-something.

Venom seeped throughout every word spoken, only being comparable to the poison-tipped arrows that nearly nicked your skin on numerous occasions. If you were younger, more naive, you’d answer with pleas for your life - begging for forgiveness or some half-assed mercy.

The current you knew why this was happening. It was like a bad joke, akin to all those ‘self-aware’ stories you had the ‘pleasure’ of reading all those years ago.

Years in this hellhole. The memories of your first day here were engrained in your mind and the reason you survived this long. Suspicion was your ally in the first weeks, allowing your continued survival up until now.

Until you got sloppy. Careless. Attached.

An attempt at gaining a friend unfettered by deceit. A slow and gradual process at first, but the results were expected. Betrayal in the middle of the night, after months of back and forth, between moments of care and affection - only to have it ripped away. Perhaps you should have stayed in Snezhnaya. At least the Fatui were direct in what they were doing, and Childe was a good friend before. . . all of this.

You held valid, human emotions, but they treated you like an animal. Your rights were stripped in an instant, and you were forced into a cage - trapped amongst the worst dredges of society for what seemed like an eternity. Food was scarce, water even more, and the punishments. . .

Even if you survived, the scars would never fade. Flesh torn asunder with blades and scalpels, subjected to inhumane torture as they froze, electrocuted and burnt skin away ; red blood adorning the walls in a sickening mockery of your false form. The healing afterwards was just a formality, just so you wouldn’t die in their ‘humble care’.

You held the same face as their beloved idol, the being of all their affections and worship, yet they couldn’t handle the fact that your blood wasn’t a precious golden. Truly ridiculous to have the next best thing, but treat it like a third-rate gift, no?

“You and your… God, can go fuck themselves.” Vulgarity came easily, and sarcasm came next. You had no love for these… false people. They weren’t real. This was all a mere dream, or perhaps a coma, or maybe even the dying remnants of your brain already coming to an end.

Pain enveloped your face in an instant ; blood immediately trickling from the newfound wound. It wasn’t a crushed nose this time around, but it still fucking hurt.

“Don’t ever disrespect The Creator!”

How ridiculous. Aren’t you supposed to be ‘God’ here? Where’s Nahida? Where’s Xiao? Where’s the plot point in where you’re safe and sound with unbearable, psychological trauma?

Where’s your savior?

Was. . . was this really it? Years of your life wasted, struggling to survive in this backwater hellhole? You forced yourself to change just to fit in with the rest of these… people. You didn’t have a vision or some godly set of skills honed by A Player — you were normal.

What a damn joke.

— More of your crimson blood splattered against the ground as you were forced before the Shogun ; her outside face neutral, though you could sense that she was seething on the inside. A useless puppet through and through.

“For your transgressions against The Creator for daring to masquerade as them, I hereby sentence you to death.” — She didn’t even offer you a moment to say a final word. Tsk. Worthless bastard.

“KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THEM! KILL THE IMPOSTER!” The chants roared louder and louder.

. . . But, you weren’t going to grant them the satisfaction of begging. You were scared, deathly so, but maybe release wouldn’t be that bad. . .

“When I get down to the abyss, hell, or whatever it’s called. . . I’ll make sure I give Makoto my thanks for being such a shitty sister.”

A singular movement, and everything shifted.

The sensation of having your head severed from your body ended quickly ; the disconnection of your brain from your spine bringing your story to a close. In the last, fickle moments before inevitability kicked in - only then did you notice the anger and sadness on Ei’s face.

It was. . . beautiful to see her cry.

. . . Perhaps they’d wonder why you died with a smile on your face. Perhaps they’d discover you were their God after your demise, grieving over your body with the fervor that only a cult could do.

Or maybe you were never special. A nobody like the NPC’s who happily spat and kicked you when you were down, insulting you with no end in sight.

Zhongli then decided to test something.

The first thing that came to mind…

He summoned a pillar a little was away from the three of you, causing Xiao to look up in confusion.

You, however, ran your big ass all the way to the large pillar, RIPPED IT FROM THE EARTH IN YOUR MAW, and brought it back happily to the duo.

Holy shit.

You sat there, super fucking proud of yourself because maybe you made the duo proud of your super awesome strength, while they stood in shock and confusion at the situation.

You genuinely?? We’re acting?? Like a big fucking puppy?????

Xiao then also decided to run a small experiment of his own.

Summoning his spear, he launched it into the air. It was now Zhongli’s turn to look down, shocked.

You dropped the pillar, but instead of jumping for it, you sumMONED A GIANT FUCKING HAND OF GEO AND GRABBED IT OUT OF THE SKY. You then gently handed back the polearm to him :).

So when Xiao and Zhongli walked back into Liyue with you following close behind, they were totally ready to explain why you were staying.

You became the mascot for Liyue honestly. You’d deliver letters for people, you’d help set of carts, carry crates, more more etc etc.

And when need be, you’d kill- I mean harm treasure hoarders for the people :3.

You’d do anything to keep your new nation wide family safe.

Anything.

Zhongli and Xiao (along with the other Adepti) are your main caretakers though!

Besides, no has to know what you’ve been doing to the men who try to rob people in the dead of night! No one.

So I just saw the post with the wrath of the creator on Azar and I had an idea.

I am very emotional and I bailed my eyes out when I did the chasm quest with xiao and he nearly died AND I got a sad cutscene of the adepti after so my traveler was just stuck in the dialog with Xiao while I was crying a whole waterfall and sniffing really loudly and the only other quest where I had that was when we were in the chasm with dain and he tells us that the hillichurls are cursed people from Khanri'ah. I stood in front of the corpses and cried heart out.

So I wanted to ask the characters reactions to that. Especially Xiao, the archons we know (because khanri'ah and its destruction is a big thing here) and dainsleif.

I'm sorry this got so long. If you want to change something or want to add someone or take a character out it's okay, this is just my 5 am thought I just had.

She wasn't going to lie, she wasn't expecting you to cry your heart out so freely. Raw emotion was hard to come by when people grow. They tend to be more...seclusive, with their emotions.

You, on the other hand, were free-balling it. You did NOT care if people were gonna look at you weird, you are gonna cry because you are sad! And honestly, Yelan's glad that the Almighty Creator is expressive and sentient. It proves just how much you care for the characters.

"It seems the Almighty Creator is far more connected than anyone thought..." She wonders what she can do with this information, but at the same time, keep it under wraps. Letting this information slip into the wrong hands was always dangerous.

She wouldn't gamble your safety. Never. Safe to say Yelan's got you covered.

Itto

Woah, woah! He did not expect you, the Almighty Creator, to be crying their eyes out the moment he wakes up from passing out and all that—what he miss? What happened while he was sleeping?

Wait, they're not in the Chasm anymore? Oh Archons, someone just tell him what happened! Why the heck is the Creator balling his eyes out?

"Huh—? What's going on? We're out of the chasm?" Poor guy is so oblivious, and no one's bothering to fill him in—at least, at the moment.

He'll pester Shinobu about this later. Just, someone, stop the Creator from crying! Those are sad tunes, not something you want to hear when you should be celebrating about leaving that gloomy place!

Yanfei

She was NOT expecting you to be this emotional! Yanfei feels a little guilty not being able to do anything about it, to be honest...

She has to resist the urge to shake Xiao out of his stupor, because a) that was unprofessional, b) she's more relieved than anything, and c) Yanfei wasn't sure if you, the Creator, would think she was okay if she started acting out like that.

So, instead, she tries to ground herself, and do her best to make sure that the situation is fine, and that everything will be okay. That's the least she can do to reassure you, and everyone else, right?

"Hopefully, Their Grace will stop those tears...Hearing them sad makes me feel sad..." As a lawyer, Yanfei knows how to sympathize with her clients. This, however, felt like she could really understand what you were going through—there was a bond between you and everyone.

She doesn't want to make you sad. That's one thing for sure. Yanfei wouldn't be able to sleep out of guilt otherwise.

Shinobu

She wasn't expecting you to be crying your heart out, but she loves how sentient you are. It shows just how you truly care about Xiao, and about everyone.

She really appreciates you. She can see how you connect with every character—how you cheer with everyone, cherish the moment with everyone, rejoice, and mourn. This was visible proof of it all.

"Hm...How should we comfort Their Grace..." Shinobu wants to do something—for the sake of the gang's gratitude for their Almighty Creator. And everyone here as well.

You contributed much of yourself for them. For that, she's grateful.

She'll have to explain to Boss later...but that's besides the point right now.

Xiao

He feels guilty for making you cry. He heard you call out his name several many times. He hears how you ball your eyes out, thinking you were gonna lose him, only for Rex Lapis to save him just in time.

He doesn't know if the Lord of Geo heard your divine prayers, or if he went on his own accord, but he feels guilty. He placed a heavy burden on you. He didn't mean to.

"How should I make it up to Their Grace..." He listens to how you scream and cry (out of joy now) that he was alive. You, the Almighty Creator, already connected yourself to someone like him. Your bond was too severe, and he tried to cut it off.

But the way the Traveler is smiling at them with a reassuring smile, Xiao wonders if he will be forgiven. Perhaps far quicker than he imagined.

Ghost Rebel Side Notes: This honestly feels too OOC—I don't really know Yelan's personality all that well, and honestly I don't think I caught the full potential of Yanfei, Itto, and Shinobu. I do hope you enjoyed this, but I'm also sorry if this came out disappointing.

if Zhongli is dead then who will rescue Xiao from the Chasm😱??!???

… and reseal Azhdaha and whatever else he does in his story quests bUT MORE IMPORTANTLY WHAT ABOUT XIAO?!?!!

good question! if i had to try and think of how the game's plot would play out if zhongli gets functionally offscreen'd at the start of the liyue arc, then i think having rex lapis actually die for real and be gone for good (like not even his spirit is left) would significantly alter the way the adepti behave

this could of course mean xiao just dies in the chasm, but we can also try to think of it as like- xiao knows that with rex lapis gone, he's truly the last one fighting the abyssal miasma. there's nobody to save his ass if anything happens, he quite literally cannot afford to take risks. i'm not saying he was banking on zhongli saving him in-game (i think we can all agree he wasn't); but i still think he like- on a subconscious level, knew that rex lapis was out there somewhere. and that with rex lapis out there somewhere, somehow, he would be fine, even if 'fine' meant passing away peacefully instead of like. idk. lingering as a resentful spirit or smth. especially since he did give zhongli a heads up that he was going to the chasm. like xiao knew zhongli knew. but if rex lapis is dead? i feel like that would change things. since we don't know how the gang would've ever actually managed to get out of the chasm if it hadn't been for xiao's (near) sacrifice, we don't know that it would've been possible otherwise. but since i do like my happy endings, we could have the traveler actually contribute in that scene and like. funnel energy into xiao. like you cannot tell me the traveler doesn't have a decent amount of energy that they could give xiao. or yanfei for that matter. or itto but like- he's out cold so idk. they were so close to getting out, too. a little extra energy kick from the traveler should've done the trick.

basically what i'm saying is that, on the xiao front at least, i could see how we could spin it so that xiao doesn't fucking die as soon as he's left without parental supervision for like five minutes.

azhdaha i'm not as sure. if the adepti's dynamics are all changed after rex lapis' death, i think we could make a possible argument for the hermits to like. notice something is up. if the traveler never meets zhongli, then maybe they wouldn't bring anyone to the expedition, or maybe they bring someone else? maybe one of the adepti? not saying a single one of the adepti should be able to reseal azhdaha, but again, since rex lapis is gone, i think they would step up and band together to deal with stuff as it comes up. i think all the adepti together + the traveler should be able to reseal azhdaha. i think. he coulnd't have regained all that much strenght if gnosis-less zhongli was able to (seemingly) easily seal him again

About you - interests: (Friendship lvl 6) We both love to look after the stray animals in their village. In fact, their love for animals was one of the first things that caught my eye! I must admit though, I get kinda jealous when the dogs or cats fuss over them... huh!? I’m jealous of y/n obviously... not the animals.

About you - Friendship: (Friendship lvl 6) Getting to know y/n was arguably one of the most difficult tasks of my life. I guess being surrounded by such gruesome sights will make you shut off from others... but behind that tough person exterior they’re very sweet! I cherish them and their companionship, I just wish they could loosen up a bit and enjoy the little things in life. Am I rambling again?

who’s the most ticklish character

it's a toss-up between xiao and furina, but i think i'm gonna give this one to xiao! he's just a tiny bit more ticklish than her, something she constantly holds over him and feels the need to remind everyone about lol

who’s the character that most people would assume isn't ticklish, but actually is

xianyun because well.. she's a bird lol but yes even bird ladies can be ticklish! DO NOT TICKLE HER THOUGH unless you want an hour long lecture about how you should respect the adepti that protect the land but for some reason it's ok to her when xiao is the one being tickled also faruzan! she was trapped in that pyramid for a century so like has her nervous system changed at all?? can she still feel things? (she doesn't according to her but don't let her fool you!)

who’s the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles

xiao and furina but it's furina a little more! the gang tickles are usually initiated by xianyun and i can imagine her having a little soft spot for xiao and i feel like she and furina would butt heads because furina can be a diva at times and xianyun would probably want her to be a little more disciplined but furina isn't her disciple so tickles is the best she can do to get furina under control lol

who’s the character that somehow knows everyone else’s tickle spots and reveals them to others

i don't think this would apply to any of them! HOWEVER xianyun and faruzan would absolutely announce people's tickle spots whenever they manage to learn about them. i like to think that they have this constant rivalry and any time one manages to discover a new spot of the other, they'll run to xiao and furina to reveal what they've learned lol xiao is just like as long y'all keep me out of it, we're good

oki i like to think that sometimes xianyun will do like partial transformations, so like sometimes she'll have her wings out even as a human (or maybe she has her bird head but human body alksdjf) anyway idk if that made sense but just imagine her with her human body, but also her bird wings and faruzan, wanting to see if she could still be ticklish as a bird, sneaks up on her and strokes her wings and xianyun can still make bird noises too as a human so she just does this ugly squawking noise aklsdjflk

who’s the most likely to win gang tickle wars

ohhh mmm this one's hard! i personally think they'd all be bad lers lol xiao would be the biggest loser though! he's just.. so inept at tickling and easily crumples to simple pokes and turns into a giggly mess. furina is the same way, but i think she would at least try to put up a fight. xiao just turns into incoherent giggles and babbles lol

i personally don't think that furina would've had much physical interaction with people when she was an archon, so she was probably deprived of tickles. like, she knows what tickling is and has seen people tickle each other, but never understood why people laugh when tickled, until xianyun tickled her one day

xianyun with.. everyone lol she can be very aggressive when it comes to tickling furina and faruzan because there's just something that snaps in her when it comes to them, but for xiao, she's much softer and careful with him. probably cause they've known each other for a while, but she will baby him and give him tickly hugs and HE HATES IT because it's embarrassing and he doesn't need stuff like this ughasdklfjkl

Things I like about this character: My love for Yaoyao was because of just how long she’d been hinted at but not shown (since 2020) and her connection to the Bubu pharmacy gang who I love. But when she released, a lot of my appreciation for her was because of nostalgia. Lantern rite is already a nostalgic time, but her music (underrated af), her character design and her personality all made me love her more because she reminds me of my childhood and a lot of my irl younger sibling :)

Meta stuff: C2, I don’t really use her in any team comps yet. Once Madame Ping is released (in the next 6 million years) I might put her in a team with Ping, Yanfei and Xiangling to be lore accurate～. Yaoyao is actually a pretty good character, I’m just slightly adverse to dendro for no real reason. My sibling mains her though! 

HCs: Just little stories about what she might get up to, how she would interact with different characters and NPCs. What do the Millelith think of her, does she interact with them? Do they have a weird allyship or does she avoid them? Is she regarded by the public slightly more like Shenhe (borderline seen as an adeptus herself) or Xiangling (not many people know she’s a disciple)? I’d like to see more Yaoyao content with the release of Chenyu vale, even though she’s more based in Qingce (her and Baizhu deserve a patch based in Chenyu vale I do think).

🏹 : what is oc’s relationship with the other canon characters?

soldier, poet, king — hmmm now zhaoyi for this dynamic is also a wanderer and doesn't stick around in one place for long. however, he does have good friendships with most from liyue! being from liyue, and also someone with a slight unknown background, it's important to keep strong connections in the case he needs a helping hand. most notably, he's on good terms with the adepti xiao; well, as good as you can get with him; zhongli, beidou, ningguang, and ganyu! his reputation with the other locals isn't too shabby either.

zhade — as an honorary member of the stellaron hunters, zhao's relationship with the gang is quite familial. him and silver wolf are like those judgmental siblings at the extended family dinner lmao. kafka and zhaoyi are blade's worst nightmare due to how they bug him, not to mention the nick names...

have not looked much into firefly's character tbh besides what ive read in the story, but the calm duo !! also the deadly duo when in battle like seriously. if you thought blade and zhao were unstoppable, wait until you see firefly and zhao's team work (canon wise. idk about in-game wise)

S.P.K. — obv soldier, poet, king ( the oh hellos ) but !! a different one would be maybe blood // water ( grandson ) for the sole reason that this is my "angry at the world; holding on for each other" vibes ship.

zhade — omg... pretty please ( dutch melrose, benny mayne ) is so them coded it's unbelievable... the lyrics... also maybe changgwi ( aha ye eun ) or achilles come down ( gang of youths ) !! the lore for this ship isn't fully developed, but it's like. deep-ish.

S.P.K. — genuinely my most chaotic ship in terms of plot and feelings. i love being able to mess up things regarding their stories and to make things hurt. they get their ending, but is it happy? sad? i love messy stuff like that and this is really just my chance to explore it! not to mention when the three of them are together, the dynamics are just too good heh.

zhade — a more comforting ship if i’m being honest. two people who dance around each other, too afraid but not realizing they’re afraid of what could happen. i love thinking about in-game stuff too when it comes to these guys !!

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

xiangling: people sleep on how she gets the friendship of gods and immortals just by offering them her cooking. first guoba then xiao who’s next. is xianyun’s “coming down to the mortal world” 下凡 arc gonna be her mechanical cooking pots and xiangling having a cooking competition? place your bets now. I liked her spotlight in moonchase (her scenes w keqing, madame ping, and the food survey we did around liyue) that was incredibly cute <3 this is also really random but I like that she has a dad to whom we can talk in game, and who isn’t a shitty father

yanfei: how she fits into liyue's theme of adepti adjusting to a mortal world, and more broadly, the differences or similarities between the godly and the human. also the interesting parallels between her and ganyu. also her relationships! you can reasonably connect her to a lot of characters—the chasm gang, ganyu, ningguang, keqing, zhongli, eula, etc. and they’re all fun dynamics!! I think her relationships with her father and madame ping are neat, and the concept of signing a contract to live happily is an interesting one and it fits her storyline!! i like that she's a cool side character who presents an interesting continuation of liyue's themes <33333

xiangling: hard to remember but I thought her story quest was really random bc I accidentally triggered it and had no idea who she was. I also was peeved that I had to pass the abyss to get her bc my team was Not well built at that time lmao. now,,, i like her! she’s incredibly cool idk.i feel like she’s still written as just a passionate chef obsessed w food in game but i will give her character depth in my head because she’s sweet and deserves it

💕: Who’s the clingier one in the relationship?

For Childe and me, I think it might actually be Childe, although I always gladly welcome his affection. Unless he just came from a sparring session, then stay away from me!! (“Aw babe, but I really missed you!”- “Shower, now!”) Otherwise, I’m just kind of used to 191cm of muscles draping over me or pulling me onto the couch; I normally don’t get much done afterwards.

Most of the time, I’m the one initiating physical intimacy with Xiao but he reciprocates it pretty fast after getting over his initial hesitation. It has gotten a lot better in terms of letting himself indulge in affection but sometimes he still needs some time to let himself give it, too (“Well, you mortals are incredibly fragile compared to us adepti, I wouldn’t want to hurt you”- “I appreciate the sentiment but I’m really not that delicate. Also, I trust you, you would never hurt me, I know it.”)

Albedo and me… It’s hard to say, really. But it’s probably still me haha. Not because Bedo is against initiating it, it’s just… if both of us focus on a project we zone out for hours and kind of… forget. Once we’re done though, we’re pretty well matched though when it comes to clinginess. (“You guys really need to remember eating and drinking too!!” - “Sorry for making you burst down the door every so often ^^;” - “…when was the last time I ate?”)

💚: Who gets jealous?

Not gonna lie… it’s probably me. I mean can you blame me, I managed to bag three extremely attractive and attentive guys, of course I want to keep them all to myself.

“No need to get jealous, babe. You know I only have eyes for you. Although, you do look really hot when you’re glaring~ Yeah, just like that actually!!”

“Tch, loyalty is an important virtue for adepti, would never sink so low as to break it. Besides, you calm me down like nothing else, I could never part from you.”

But, even so, everyone gets jealous eventually, some more and some less, so let’s see…

Childe doesn’t really get jealous because he only really considers those he recognises as strong as threats. Normally there’s not a lot of though people strolling through the city. Basically, a guy has to impress Childe first before he considers them worth the second thought. But once someone does and gets a little too close, oh boy, where’s the murderous intent coming from? Certainly not from the ginger with the friendly smile who’s squeezing the guy’s hand a little too tightly…

Xiao isn’t really familiar with the feeling because he never had much reason to feel jealous before. He’s also too perceptive to be fooled by blatant misunderstandings. At the end of the day, I’m my own person and can choose to do what I want, he doesn’t want to tell me what I can and can’t do. But what’s that sinking feeling in his gut at the image of me with someone else? No, he’s not a fan of that. (“C’mere, you silly adeptus!! How could I ever leave you?”)

Albedo just trusts me too much to feel concerned about me interacting with other men. Human emotions are already complicated, so why make it worse by speculating on someone else’s? Surely if I didn’t feel happy with him anymore, I’d just talk to him about it, right? Plus, if jealousy does ever creep up on him, he just directly talks to me about his troubles. (“You know, I could see you itching to leave the conversation.” - “Yeah, that guy was boring me to death. I just wanted to go home.”)

🌟: Who’s the tease in the relationship?

As you can tell, Childe can’t stop running his mouth and his favourite pastime is apparently using that silver tongue of his to flirt with me me. (“Don’t you have anything better to do?” - “Nope, you’re the best thing for me to do~” - *gestures in ‘See, I told you so’). He also, conveniently, finds ways to flex his muscles or show of his abs whenever I’m around. (“You’re not sly, you know.” - “Well, is it working?” - “… yes”) I’m not sure if he got the memo that we’re married, he’s still hellbent on seducing me.

“Oh, trust me I know. Our marital duties aren’t lost on me~”

“You’re the worst.”

“But you like that, don’t lie.”

“Can’t argue with that…”

Xiao is also mainly a tease through physicality alone. I mean have you seen his arms or his back? Hunting down demons really does give a guy a nice body ㅠㅠ Although, I’m not sure he knows of the effect it has on me, nobody can be that faux innocent. I said before that Xiao doesn’t really initiate physical touch, but he does do it subconsciously to guide me somewhere or to make sure I’m fine. And let me tell you, every time I feel his calloused palm on me… phew, my knees are turning to pudding

“Is that why you were turning red as jueyun chili when I squeezed past you in kitchen yesterday?! I thought it was because of the weather!”

“Well you did put your hand on the small of my back… Stop hiding your face behind your hands!”

Ahem, anyway… Albedo’s teasing always comes out of nowhere, I swear, you can never see it coming! One second he’s telling me about his newest experiment results, the next he’s dropping the most creative flirt on me. But his intelligence is attractive as hell, so it’s 100% effective.

“I do. But please give me a warning, my heart can’t take it.”
