Part A

Eddie had Steve pressed against the bed post as he devoured his mouth. And Steve absolutely felt like he was being consumed. It was all tongues and teeth and the way Eddie's hands with fisting around his waist, his clothes would be on the floor soon if they didn't stop. But Steve didn't want it to end either, so he let it go on for a little longer. He even let his own hands wander down, playing with the hem of Eddie's pants as if he'd let it get that far.

Then Steve turned away from the kiss, which only made Eddie press his lips to his jaw and neck.

"It's time", Steve reminded him.

"Just one more", Eddie breathed out, letting his teeth drag against his skin.

Steve didn't feel his fangs though, so it was clear he was trying to show some restraint. Still, it was clear he was intent on marking up Steve in all ways that he could. They'd already fucked this morning so he was sure he carried Eddie's scent for all creatures it mattered to. Today he wasn't wearing the blue he had arrived in but in clothes that were more on Eddie's brand, decked out in black and silver.

And now he was going to have bite marks.

"You could just piss on my leg for how subtle you're being. Or get me round with child. Maybe they'll get the idea then."

"Don't tempt me, precious", Eddie grinned. "One deal, one spell and you'll be carrying my spawn." He tried not to show how much the idea thrilled him but perhaps he revealed his hand, letting his fingers press against Steve's belly.

Steve rolled his eyes but he loved it. He loved how much Eddie wanted him and needed the world to know he was spoken for in all the ways that mattered.

They untangled long enough to leave their room and go outside to say their goodbyes while the last of his things were loaded into the carriage.

"I'll be back before you know it", Steve said while Eddie was endlessly kissing his hand.

"Do you plan on sneaking back inside? Because that's the only way you'll be back before I know it. I'm going to be watching the road, darling."

Steve felt like his heart might burst. "You do remember you have a kingdom to run, don't you?"

"What? This old place?", Eddie gestured to the towering castle.

"If I hear you're ignoring your duties while I'm gone, I'm leaving you for Gareth."

"But ignoring my duties is completely fine when I'm doing it with you?"

"Well I'm more important", Steve smiled. "You said so yourself."

"Stronger than all my armies combined", Eddie nodded. "More beautiful than the crystal caves. Resourceful and witty beyond compare." With each declaration he pulled Steve somehow even closer until he was whispering only to him. "And a body that was made to be loved and fucked by me."

Then they were kissing again and Steve couldn't remember why he was leaving again. Someone was clearing their throat and this time Eddie was the responsible one who pulled away.

"The sooner you go, the sooner you'll be back."

Steve nodded and finally began to move away from him. He backed away, eyes never leaving Eddie even as he walked backward into the carriage's side. He scooted until he found the footman's hand and lifted into the carriage, still looking at his love.

"Why doesn't this thing have a back window?", Steve mused to himself as the carriage departed, taking him away from Eddie.

Eddie wasn't faring much better, standing on the steps as Steve started off for his old kingdom. He was returning for the shortest amount of time possible to officially renounce his claim to the throne. Word had already spread that the queen was with child and they didn't want anything in the way of their future ascension.

Steve had already put his parents behind him. To get it on paper seemed rather tedious, especially since the document could have been sent to acquire his signature. But perhaps it was his father tugging the leash one last time before he completely disowned his first born.

While riding in the carriage, Steve kept himself occupied with daydreams. Maybe he would find a way to sneak back home and surprise Eddie. Instead of Eddie welcoming him, it could be the other way around. Steve would already be in bed, opening himself up for Eddie to slide right in....

The jolt of a sudden stop brought Steve out of his thoughts. They'd been traveling for a few hours, so a resting stop made sense, but why so suddenly. He waited for either the driver to report something, or continue. When neither happened, he shifted the curtain open slightly to get a peek.

Highwaymen. Of course.

They made him get out and while they did, he assessed the situation. One had a knife on him while the other searched the carriage for valuables. Steve stood with his hands up while it happened. He could take two. Once he got the knife it would be easy. Especially if the driver got off his ass to help.

Seeing an opening, Steve took it and went on the offensive, wrestling the knife away and twisting an arm behind their back, point to their throat now.

Before he could make any demands, an arrow grazed his arm. Enough to cut and be annoying bloody but not much else. That it until he felt a strange burning in the cut. He should've suspected they might have an archer. And if he did, he would've suspected the poison arrows. He felt his body get heavy before falling to the ground.

"We're about to come into a lot of money, boys."

Steve's last thought before blacking out was that he should've just sent his parents a letter.

When he came to, he found that he was in a very nice sitting room. The chair he was placed upon had a very nice cushion. It was only the rope around his arms and the fact he didn't know where he was the soured the luxury of it.

"The king's little pet, in my humble abode. Who would have thought." A voice sounded from behind Steve and came around to sit in the chair across from him.

Steve tested his restraints. "How did I get here?"

"Some petty thieves got lucky. Thought you were the average noble. But it is very clear just looking at you-" He stood and nudged Steve's jaw, showing more of his neck and the bite marks there. Steve squirmed out of his hold. "-belong to King Edward. So they sold you to me. And if you really are His Majesty's favorite, he'll pay a handsome price for you."

He sat back in his chair and Steve looked at him like he was an idiot. This buffoon was going to try and ransom a king. A king! The only reason Eddie's own similar gambit didn't work was because Steve's father cared little. If anyone tried this with Eddie, he would have them publicly executed. If not, tortured, then executed.

Once again, Steve looked around with his eyes and weighed his options. A middle aged man amid opulent furniture. A lord of some kind. But not a very smart one. Still, he was bound to have some men on the property acting as guards. People who would capture him if he got loose.

He could let the ransom happen. Eddie would move the earth (literally) to get to him. This whole place would be covered in blood and fire.

Then again, Steve could save Eddie the trip.

"You don't think I'll escape?", he asked. "You didn't even tie my legs down." He kicked them lightly to illustrate his point.

"I'm not a brute. And you're royalty, you know how this goes. Be a good boy and you'll be back with your master in no time. And I'll be all the more richer for it."

"Well that sounds really, really boring", Steve said, slouching a little. "Couldn't we find so~me way to entertain ourselves in the meantime?" He let the tip of his boot nudge the other man's foot.

It got him a smirk in return, but not quite for the reason he wanted.

"I know better than to lie with the devil's plaything." He stood and leaned over Steve. "Your tricks won't work on m-uuNK!"

A grunt, a whimper, a whine from Steve boot hitting him squarely in the groin.

"I have more than one trick."

He got to his feet and with just a bit of shimmying, was able to get the ropes off. They really didn't think much of him at all. Or Eddie for that matter. He went to a window first only to find that it was too dark to try and scale the wall, especially on an unfamiliar building.

Out the front door it is.

Dispatching the first guard wasn't easy with only a rope in hand to suffocate him with but Steve was able to get a sword off him. After that it was child's play. Steve had two advantages: one, if they wanted Eddie's money then they had to keep him alive. And two, somehow even with blood splattered on him, they were still treating him like an untrained child.

It was only the last one (was it the 8th or the 9th?) that truly took him seriously and made Steve work for his escape. And he did manage a few slashes across his chest before falling upon Steve's sword.

By the time he made it back to Eddie's castle on a horse stolen by his captors, he was exhausted. The gates were opened to him but not without confusion.

Word traveled ahead at his return and Eddie practically materialized at the bottom of the stairs to meet him. He could smell that most of the blood on Steve wasn't his but that didn't make him any happier.

Eddie cupped his face. "Who did this to you?"

"Didn't get his name before kicking him in the balls."

"That would make this the second time you've been kidnapped in less than a year, gorgeous."

"I'm just a magnet for dangerous men, I guess", Steve shrugged. "Now carry me to the bath."

Eddie picked him up with ease and started up the stairs. "You've denied me the right of defending your honor AND releasing my righteous fury, you know that, right?" Eddie already knew the people responsible were more than likely dead.

Steve grinned as he drew circles on Eddie's chest. "Guess you'll have to put that energy elsewhere. Any ideas?"

Actually feeling inspired to put my existential dread and despair into writing angst so maybe these prompts will be fine after all. I've changed them from the original prompts that I sneak peaked to be more seasonal and dark. The playlists are almost done too. I will try to keep writing it is the only thing I can do right now. I wanna talk about my top 5 musicians that I got into this year + 2 bonuses. Not one's that released this year, just ones that I found out this year.

These will be out of order since I don't want to rank them. Oh also I'll only share 1 song that's my favorite from them.

NewJeans

Ok sorry to start with a remix (If I had to choose an original, it'd be "ETA") but this is the song that introduced me to NewJeans. Apparently, I think "Super Shy" was their big trendsetting song but I haven't heard of it till now I think. I love their style so much!!

Hakushi Hasegawa

I shared a couple of his songs earlier in the year, with Doku being a standout because it sounded like Nintendo took a lot of inspiration from them for one of their Hero Mode OSTs in Splat3 (though I didn't hear about it till this year). I had a hard time choosing between Doku, Somoku and a couple other songs from Air Ni Ni (Only You, Desert and Itsukushii Hibi are one of my favorites in there), but I think Doku is such a great song as an introduction to them (Hasegawa uses they/them pronouns by the way).

MAXIMUM THE HORMONE

I... Never heard of the name "Maximum The Hormone" until this year. In-fact, the way I officially learned their band was through a Chainsaw Man chapter titled "ChuChu Lovely MuniMuni MuraMura". AND I WATCHED THE ANIME FIRST. I HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE THE ONE WHO MADE THE 3RD ED. And if we wanna go even further, I never watched Death Note, AT MOST, I'VE HEARD A SNIPPET OF THE OP, WAY LONG AFTER IT'S RELEVANCY and I still didn't know of their name. I do like all of the songs I've mentioned, but I think F is a super solid song that's also a normal song length with a good guitar solo.

Femtanyl

So I found out about Femtanyl from their biggest song titled "KATAMARI" and of course I had to listen to it because I love Katamari!! I love the Prince!! Most of their songs are super good, I considered either this one, Katamari or Push ur t3mprr. Their newest one with Danny Brown is also really good.

Sonic Coaster Pop

Spotify actually did a good thing and suggested me a really good album for once. I LOVEEE THIS ALBUM, I LOVE THAT EACH SONG TRANSITIONS TO THE NEXT ONE!! But Super Speed Pop Star is the standout one for me. IT'S SUCH A MUNCH ALBUM. I think this counts as Neo Shibuya-Kei or Electropop (correct me if I'm wrong) and I've dipped my toes a bit into it for a long while like CAPSULE, Nagisa Cosmetic (first one I was introduced into the genre) and Plus Tech Squeeze Box.

I've been wanting to find more songs like them, but I haven't been able to much, mostly because I like finding them in the wild through suggestions from the platform I'm listening on. Also, because I like a lot more of the electro styled songs rather than traditional Shibuya-Kei (which is still good!!). I'm really happy to find a new one to get into this year.

I'm adding 2 more because one of them is a band that just came out this year or debuted really late 2023, and the other is just 1 really standout songs that I REALLY like.

ILLIT

ILLIT popped off hard for their debut(?) with Magnetic being their trendsetting song, but I like this one a lot more in their album. The reason I'm putting this as a bonus is because they only have like... 5 songs? So I can't really say if I'll get super into them but I think they're starting off really strong!

FLASHING LIGHTS/IMAGES WARNING, I couldn't even share the original video because it's much worse than this one, but that aside, I really really love this song. It helps a lot that I got into Dai Dark this year and I associate this song a lot with it. I really want to do an edit one day with either Dai Dark or Dorohedoro with this song. One day... MAYBE SOON SINCE I LEARNED A BIT MORE OF VIDEO EDITING (even though it's just the very basics).

Music is something I don't really share that often or like sharing that much, though I figured I'd talk about it this year since I'm very passionate about listening to music. I've also started sharing much more music this year and it feels nice. I know some of these aren't that niche but I just learned about them this year and wanted to talk about them.

I've seen dune part 2 twice now (both within a 24 hours interval lol)

the expectations were humongous, the hype was real

and at first, I was a bit thrown off by how much it veered away from the book compared to part 1 - so much so that I was thrown off the pacing of the movie and had trouble getting into its rhythm (because i kept thinking back to changes from 5 minutes before), anyway that first viewing experience was a mess for me

now that I've had more time with it, I can safely say I love the movie. I think I prefer part 1 in some ways (I prefer contemplative & moody to action-packed & drama), but I also love how part 2 leans even more unapologetically into the utter weirdness of the source material, and how cinematic it is

it looks gorgeous (even moreso than part 1), the acting is good to superb, but the dialogue could be better (compared to the books and to part 1), and hans zimmer recycled the first score which I found to be a real disappointment: even though it's still good, it's too repetitive

now unto specifics (incl. potential spoilers):

I am 100% harkonnen trash (which could mean anything, as paul states quite clearly he's harkonnen too, so...) (but yeah i'm harkonnen trash as in I absolutely loved the whole giedi prime sequence, and have soul-binding devotion to & utterly unhinged sexual desire for Feyd-Rautha (yes, even bald and less scheming than in the book), because boy is he twisted in interesting ways

Alia was robbed of a lot, BUT I love the fucked up deranged codependant mother-daughter relationship she and Jessica have got going. actually i live for it, for the abomination. bring it on. Also Jessica, who was the most OOC character to me in part 1, switched to being the most IC in part 2 and i couldn't be happier?

more desert lore, from details like wind traps, to weather & travel conditions, to hints of the sandtrouts, and the whole ecological system linking spice, worms, desert & water. yay for fascinating and immersive worldbuilding (that movie makes you feel the desert, unlike the first one)

more charlotte rampling is always a good move. also sets up dune messiah beautifully. on that note, irulan was well paced, that is, she's allowed to stay muted and observant rather than front and center, again, setting her up nicely for dune messiah. however, stilgar's arc was pushed way ahead and it displeased me, because I feel it lessens the mourning and regret I remember feeling reading the books as he evolved, and how tragic his changing was (highlighting through him, that of his whole people, and their downfall into fanaticism). if the movie rushes to the end result, I care less about that change, for i can't realise and mourn for what was lost along the way. on a similar note, as they played paul as more moral at the beginning of his journey (to make him more likeable), the switch to his mahdi era was a bit jarring. so yay to mohiam & irulan character arc pacing, nay to stilgar & paul.

chani was also allowed more breathing room and dimensions/depth/inner life than in the books, and as I remember finding the book lacking in that respect, can't fault the movie for fixing this.

the ruthlessness of the politics of the landsraad and the intricacies of the manipulations by the bene gesserit were perfectly show-cased. The commentary on the dangers of messianic religions and its melding to politics was too overt for my liking. especially at this stage of the story, it's less of a warning to the insidiousness of fundamentalism if there are glaring neon signs at the onset of that path telling you "do not go, there be dragons"... I know villeneuve wanted to set up herbert's course-correction from dune messiah earlier, but it's too much too early imo

anyway, to conclude, i'd like to lick feyd-rautha's abs

ik you enjoy back to back pregnancies and multiples so what abt a mishap of science or magic or smth where a boy ends up able to get knocked up again when he’s Already swollen w a baby or three? thinking it’s just growth spurts for the babies already in his womb until he goes in for his next appointment and has at least doubled if not tripled how many he’s carrying

YES he was planning on having a lil average family, just one to three kids or so with a few years between each, some semblance of a quiet normal life, so he was definitely thrown for a loop when he found out he was having triplets. he tried not to let it bother him much - after all, three kids was within his ideal range, and getting all the births over with in one go wasn't necessarily a bad thing. he'd just have his hands a little full, that was all. the growth that came with carrying triplets was certainly a bit much for him too - the skin on his chest, hips, thighs, and especially his belly was smattered with stretch marks that only deepened and itched more as the weeks crawled on. and of course there was his chest, which had gone up several cup sizes and gained a sensitivity like nothing the boy had ever felt before. his new curves caught him off guard, but nothing was quite as cumbersome as that baby bump of his. he wasn't used to the space it took up, and always found himself bumping things and knocking them over with his belly, unable to move around in quite the same way he did before his stomach ballooned up. the changing center of gravity also proved burdensome, and he often had to cradle his hefty belly and shift his poses in all sorts of ways just to find some relief and acclimate himself to his considerable new weight. of course, his husband took good care of him through it all, but the couple would soon be thrown for yet another - and even bigger - loop.

both boys watched their doctor do a double take during the ultrasound, murmuring in confusion to herself and staring at the screen in disbelief. the boys hear her muttering something along the lines of 'that can't be right, i must have miscounted...' before nervously shuffling out of the room to convene with her colleagues while the boys looked on, oblivious.

they went home from their appointment with more questions than answers - the doctors told them there were more babies growing in the boy's womb than initially believed - but they hadn't been there from the beginning, and they weren't even quite sure how many in total the boy was gestating now.

the next appointment, much to the confusion and terror of both the doctor and the patient, was quite the same. more new little dots found on the ultrasound, more little ones seemingly added to the pregnant boy's already massive belly. the doctors had never seen anything like it, and all they could do was assume each additional batch of babies would be born in an additional nine months. realizing how long this meant he'd be staying pregnant, the boy cursed himself for all the sex he'd been having with his husband during the pregnancy - he figured there would be no risk since he was already pregnant, but it clearly added up.

by the time his first due date - the original one - came, the boy has utterly gargantuan. his womb was absolutely packed with several litters, all at different stages, and given what a poor job his husband had been doing of staying off him, there were likely still even more newly conceived babies growing undiscovered inside him. after he had birthed his triplets, his belly had barely gotten visibly smaller. he blushed in embarrassment as he remembered less than a year prior, when he had fantasized about a small, perfectly normal family.

that fantasy was gone now - the boy had enough litters inside him to stay consistently birthing every nine months for years to come, and despite the circumstances, he and his husband never quite seemed to learn their lesson - the doctors discovered new babies at every appointment, and the poor swollen boy's husband was fucking still even more into him on a near daily basis. doing the math and trying to figure out how many children the boy was growing in his obscenely enormous pregnant belly, or how long he'd be pregnant for, only made the couple's heads hurt, so they decided to throw caution to the wind and stop keeping track entirely. after all, he was already so pregnant, what difference would a few more make at this point?

only one thing was for sure - the boy would be spending the rest of his life unfathomably pregnant without a single break, his numerous brood constantly expanding - and he would only get bigger.

and as it turns out, he enjoys this far more than his initial plan.

bleached my hair very half spontaneously at 7pm today;

ironically my hair is significantly healthier when i do so because it's natural texture is very way too slippery and soft and therefore has no natural grip or volume and so i go huh hurr durr why is is not doing theat and then crunch and pump way too much product in in some false effort to counteract and it feels disssguuussttingggg. and then go to incorrect anvenues to "fix" it like giving me a trim and then i cry and wail in agony because it was not the solution i wanted and i am very internally melodramatic about these things while i'm sure nobody else entirely notices or cares
