“I don’t know about you,” Cary started in a low and slow drawl, leaning on his elbow against a table set at the perimeter of the room, “But I am so bored. You’d think with how much they clearly spent on this whole thing they’d have sprung for better entertainment.” He chuckled as he glanced out at the crowd. “Do you wonder what half of them are even talking about?” He pointed discreetly at an elderly pair several yards away, animatedly in conversation though their words couldn’t be heard at this distance. “Take those two — what do you think they’re talking about?” Caradoc leaned even closer to his companion then, lips ghosting by their ear as he whispered, “Because I think they’re secret lovers but old handlebar mustache there just found out he’s been two timed by fancy hat. Why else would he be so red in the face?” Cary’s eyes twinkled mischievously as they danced between the old man with a tomato colored face and impressively curled mustache and the hat wearing individual he was engaged in conversation with, then back to Cary’s own fellow eavesdropping companion.

Jae hadn’t meant to spill the remains of their wine on another party goer. It was the purest of accidents, brought on by a drunken klutz who had tripped on another guest’s dress train and haphazardly waved their arms about while seeking balance, thus knocking the drink right out of the vampire’s hand and onto the nice dress robes of the person passing them by at the most opportune moment. “I mean it, I’m really sorry,” he said, grabbing whatever cocktail napkins were within reach and offering them to the one in soiled dress robes. “I swear, it was an accident, it all happened so fast.” Standing taller, they frowned at the other, trying to asses the fabric for any potential damage. “That doesn’t stain easily does it?” They then reached into their jacket to pull out their wand. “If you trust my spellcasting, I know a charm that will fix it right up.” They felt awful, were willing to do whatever was necessary to right this wrong. “I could also pay for it?” He offered quietly, wand still in hand. Jae hoped they didn’t take the offer — the dress robes looked expensive, definitely more than he could afford.

“I suppose it is kind of fortunate that you’re surrounded by healers,” Ted laughed as he pulled out the small first aid kit he always had strapped onto his belt when in uniform. He had thought initially that he should leave it behind when heading up to the new ward for the party, but he had a nagging feeling that he needed to keep a hold of it. It was small, not too bulky, and mostly consisted of tiny gulp sized portions of potions in small glass bottles, a roll of bandage with smiley faces printed across it, and small tins of healing salves. Things that could be used for smaller and more general healing practices. When he saw the stumble, heard the shatter of glass, he was quick to rush to the guest’s side, assuring everyone surrounding them that he was a licensed healer and would be able to help them. “How does that feel?” He asked, after administering medicine. He was putting his kit away, then taking his wand out from his St. Mungo’s issued holster so he could use a quick cleaning charm on the glass and spilled drink. Once that was taken care of, Ted pulled out a lollipop from his pocket, offering it to the patient. “Drinks are fun and all, but maybe we should take a little sucker break, hm?”

Corban was heading back inside after a much needed smoke break, waving his wand over himself to dispel the smell of nicotine clutching his dress robes as he crossed the foyer of St. Mungo’s. His heels clicked rhythmically against the linoleum floor, his speedy pace and long gait taking him towards the lift within moments. The doors were closing in as he stumbled closer, holding out a hand and calling, “Stop the lift!” Whether because his arm slipped between the closing doors, or the person on the other side magicked them to stop, the elevator doors slid back open, allowing him to cross inside. “Thank you,” he said in a huff, stepping inside. “I take it you’re heading up to the Blishwick Wing as well?” Both passengers settled within, and the lift had begun its ascent… only to come to a random stop between floors with a horrible screech. “….Well that doesn’t sound good,” Corban muttered, digging back into his robes to pull out his wand. “You’d think after spending all that money on the new ward, they’d ensure this elevator worked.” He sighed, turning towards the other stuck in this predicament with him. “I figure if it’s broken reparo ought to work, but just in case do you have any other charms in mind?

Despite the smile painted on his lips, there was a flicker of confusion in Finn's eyes as he leaned against the wall. "What do you mean?" The question left his mouth among some form of...noise (for lack of a better word) that resembled something akin to a laugh or scoff. Maybe both. To say he was caught off guard was an understatement in itself, the words tumbling from his lips with ease, despite the perplexity hiding him, somewhere deep down. "This isn't..." Awkwardly ruffling his hair, he gestured between the two of them. "We're just having fun, aren't we? You know how it is."

"What in the sweet hells have you DONE to me?!" the words would almost be comedic if not for the panic that was so clear in them. Astarion had staggered back, the vampire holding up his hands to stare at them - at the black claws he now had. There may have been no mirror to see, but he could feel well enough just what was wrong.

A hand reached up, feeling cautiously - ears, still long, but undoubtedly different. His same curls, but now parted by a sweeping set of - admittedly somewhat majestic - horns, and when he turned, he could see the sweep of the slender tail now emerging from the seat of his pants.

About this portrayal:

Jaime is an oc for an upcoming webcomic/animated screenplay called ‘Soulmakers’, thus her portrayal may change through time. She’s one of six characters for that, but she’s a work in progress.

I made her long before watching any media with death played by a woman, but she holds a very special place in my heart.

(I’ll update/edit this to reflect her actual artwork once I finish it)

In most verses, Jaime is as old as life itself. She is the embodiment of death and chaos, and all things decay.

Her animalistic features are a result of gods taking aspects of animals when they come to Earth, but also represents her tie to life itself. Bearded vultures are inherently the bringers of carnage, picking off roadkill and whatnot, while Death’s Head Moths are omens, both good and bad.

Her specific design is meant to emulate the cutesy nature of these animals, while also showcasing the misconceptions about them. Similarly, the misconceptions about death.

She wears gloves at all times, preventing her death’s touch from harming others. In some au’s she’s cursed with death’s touch, others it’s in her nature.

She loves the color pink, but is very fond of hues of purple and black. Her favorite color, despite these claims, is green.

Jaime is ourwardly cocky and cunning. She loves playing tricks on the other Gods, causing chaos and mischief.

Her smile is like a predator hunting prey, but she has a soft spot/fondness for children. While she can be unnerving, she makes an effort to not come off as too off putting. Her confident nature leads her to having self discovery.

When someone dies, Jaime makes an effort to bring them like any grim reaper might, but with the added bonus of guiding them either in her vulture or moth form.

She is deeply fascinated by humans, and finds their shorter lives… confusing. While she does her best to ensure they are able to get where they need to after death, she has also been no stranger to helping them linger on earth.

Her favorite foods include warm autumn soups, pumpkins and coffee. She loves autumn in particular due to the orange and brown hues, and the start of the end of the seasonal cycle.

If your character was a Pokémon, which one would it be, and why?

"I.. don't know that many pokemon or all the new ones that pop out so I don't really know, Golem I guess?"

*I haven't been keeping up with pokemon and it was overwhelming to choose SO i just did a quiz instead and answer it for ash ahjsgdahjsgd*

Bastiodon was the top result at 99.9% which I thought was really cute looking at its description: It is from roughly 100 million years ago, like Ash constantly seen as an old soul. Despite its rough, intimidating appearance, Bastiodon is actually a docile, caring Pokémon that feeds on grass and berries, deep down we all know Ash is a softy that can be very intimidating at first glance and if he needs to - he will be intimidating. Its shield-like face is as tough as a diamond and capable of repelling any attack. When multiple Bastiodon line up, their faces form a wall that nothing can break through; this was how they protected their young. He has always been a better protector than a fighter, willing to take anything to the face to protect someone he loves. And the fact that Bastiodon usually go in herds and even come together to protect feels very much like his marines days. In stark contrast to its impenetrable frontal defense, it is vulnerable from behind. Where ironically Ashton has a sensitive post-trauma reaction to anyone coming from behind without his knowledge, he's almost broken people's arms (ask Ember) for sneaking up on him when he's not comfortable with you, the sheer panic being thrown back into that old place again.

Other results were Aurorus (which is so cute because Aurorus is usually quiet and kind but can create ice walls or encase enemies in ice when enraged and apparently when it howls, several auroras will then appear in the sky.) and Lycanroc (a wild lil doggo type that is super loyal to its trainer, calm, collected, and cautious personality and is a crazy scary fighter that can get reckless and have a temper)
