Current frustration:
Having a really niche fetish (vanilla births) and needing to read sexy stories is my current hell because I have to write them. And writing is not my current hyperfocus.
Anyone want to write a vanilla birth story for me?

Good Auditory Stims, and Complete and Unordered Guide
"For the record, the water closet is pristine and ♡FULL♡ of decorative soaps! ☆"
OH OH OH WHY ME? A SIGN OF THE TIMES EVERY TIME THAT I SPEAK
The ASMR with the horse hooves and thunderstorm in the background
Clicking my own tongue
"All the terrible mistakes!!! The GODDAMN(!!!!!!) radio jockey makes, and I swear! He's out! To get me!!!"
Metal tapping on metal
Don't judge me but lowkey George Rexstrew's voice in general if that makes sense? Idk the tone is so calming.
I! WANT! YOU! FOREVER! AND! EVERRRR !!!!

I have a chronic sense of feeling like an outcast and not fitting in anywhere, not to mention the emotional abuse and severe bullying I went through.
Anyways yeah these are my reasons as to why I feel validated by Eric and Dylan as a TCC member.
Yes I genuinely love listening to KMFDM, wearing all black tactical clothing inspired from the natural born killers, and wearing all black oilskin dusters and black duster trenchcoats.

In middle school, I’d ’take breaks’ from fulfilling basic needs. I’d just do whatever if I couldn’t sleep, and I’d stop eating/drinking water if I wasn’t hungry/thirsty. I can’t do it anymore cause that would destroy me, but it felt amazing to stop worrying about survival for a day or two
There’s no such thing as work-life balance for neurodivergent & chronically ill people.
This is because everything in my life requires work:
maintaining friendships
keeping up with my hygiene
managing bills
making money
remembering my basic needs
sleeping regularly
outputting creatively
All requires some aspect of work for me.
And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.
If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed — I see you.
If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed — I see you.
You're not dysfunctional.
You're not incapable.
You're doing your best.

My doctor and therapist: now with this autism + ADHD diagnosis you need to learn to unmask because masking all the time will make you burn out again and feel like shit
Other people: well it's just interesting how after getting the diagnosis you suddenly start behaving like that I mean I'm not saying you're faking it's just funny how you suddenly cannot be normal like you were before

this is your gentle reminder to stop fighting against your adhd and instead structure your life around it
buy a pack of chapsticks and put one in the pocket of all of your coats and jackets because you always forget to bring one and chapped lips is sensory hell
leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist
put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.
when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!
plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.
if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge
if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.
its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.

I’m a daycare teacher. I also have a delayed circadian rhythm, a very typical “sleep from 4am to noon” pattern found in individuals with ADHD.
One day a few years back, I was covering opening at work, which is 6:30am. I’m sure you can imagine how conscious my body wanted to be, despite forcing myself to sleep earlier.
This coincidentally happened to be an early day for one of our favorite kids (now in Grade 1 🥳) who has Down Syndrome.
There was a lot of flopping and non verbal protesting getting into the classroom, and I said
“Yeah, early mornings are always hard.”
What I meant was “I feel you, can I collapse and cry too?”
Sadly, Mom interpreted it as “Oh, you’re always trouble in the mornings, why can’t you behave???”
You can imagine how horrified I was when my director tried to gently find out what had happened after pick up and Mom mentioned the rude person covering in the morning…. 😬😬😬
Tumblr media
(fortunately my director understood, she’d been baffled because she knew I’d never say anything like that, let alone specifically about them!!!)
Every time a small child starts crying or having a tantrum in my vicinity and I catch the parents glancing at me I’ve started saying “me when…”.
Friend kept trying to tell his crying kindergartener to calm down and relax and the kid growled “I AM relaxed” while visibly tensing every muscle in his body and I was like “oh that’s me at work every day” and we had a chuckle.
Parents look to other adults like “shit are they mad? Do they think my kid is acting like a demon?” And this response is my attempt to say “no. I think your kid is just acting like a human being.”
I WISH I could fling myself on the ground and cry because I experienced a minor inconvenience.

ADHD pro tip: Use psychological warfare on yourself.
For example, in order to do long tasks, like folding laundry, I put on the Mario Hat:
Tumblr media
The main feature of the Mario hat is that my headset does not fit over it, so when The Bees™ try to put me back in front of the screen, the headset issue forces me to remember why I put the Mario hat on, and back to the task I go
As a bonus, the Mario hat is also a very clear indicator to my housemates that business is getting done, and they have learned not to distract me when I'm wearing the "goofy-ass cosplay hat"
It's not stupid if it works.

ADHD at night: I could write a book. I could get my Master’s Degree. I could go to the club and come home with 12 new friends. I could get a job at that club and meet the mother of my children. I could cure every disease and use my wealth to bring world peace.
ADHD during the day: Fold laundry too hard :( Come back next week

Do you have one for when you’re doom scrolling and desperately want to get off the phone but the brain says “just one more” until the sun starts shining through this windows and then you cry?
Or is that just a me problem?
adhd paralysis sucks bcuz im just sitting there and my brain is like
YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME YOU ARE WASTING TIME
no work done no rest gained. literally no point of this at all

[I.D. an edited version of the "is this a pigeon" meme. A man with glasses, captioned "my overstimulated ass" points at a butterfly, captioned "someone making an annoying noise". At the bottom of the image, a dialogue caption reads "is this a crime deserving the death sentence?" end I.D.]

Since the Paralympics are happening and I’m seeing all sorts of people saying “See? This person doesn’t let their disability stop them!”
I would like you to remember that Paralympions are OLYMPIC LEVEL ATHLETES.
How would it feel if I compared your output to that of a literal olympic athlete and used that to justify not helping you or giving you what you need?
Oh, well Michael Phelps and Simone Biles can do it - why can’t you?
Thats how you sound.
