𝙏𝙤 𝙉𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜
words: 1.2k
warnings: none!
a/n: this is for @jream-23 !! thank you for the request shawty🥰 it was very fun to write!
summary: your hair covers most of your face, and seeing it for the first time blinds hanta and katsuki in their short moment of clarity.
Sero’s hair, a jet black mullet that went to the base of his neck and the tips of his ears, was almost as distinguishable as his elbows. However, your hair, full enough to cover most of your face, very easily puts his to shame. It was ironically fitting for their band, so no one asked many questions concerning it. The hero in training strums his pick against the strings of his electric guitar once, twice, three times before deciding he’s happy with the way it sounds. An explosive blond with an even more explosive attitude shifts in his seat, a leather stool that stays with his drum set. There’s a thin layer of sweat clamming up his skin, but he pays it no mind as he rises from his seat and places his drumsticks down.
They had a band- shared with you, Kaminari, Mina, and Kirishima- that strictly produced covers of their favorite songs. It wasn’t anything big, just something to pass the time. Just something to remind them that they were kids. That it’s okay to be kids. And that was enough for them.
“Where’d your boyfriend go?” Sero teases, the tips of his ears shifting into a complementary shade of pink before he can even fully get the sentence out. The truth is, they both liked you. You were fun to be around, you balanced them out. There was something about you that made their mouths run dry, made their faces flare up as if they were sitting in a sauna; there was something about you that made Sero’s leg bounce just as fast as his heart when he saw you. Katsuki noticed it first, even whilst he lay in the midst of his own contraption of adoration for you.
“My boyf-? You idiot!” The blond shouts, his shoulders raising up to his ears as he clenches his fist and demands Hanta “shut his trap.” Katsuki doesn't blush, but he does leave the secluded area of the gym before anyone could get a good look at his face. Sero follows behind him, mirroring his footsteps until the duo makes their way back into the common room. He’s cackling the whole way there, teasing the boy with vermillion eyes until he explodes in his face. Literally.
The bickering is squashed before it could even think of coming back up again the moment they actually look in the room. You look incredibly comfortable sitting on the couch, your cheek squished against the pressure of your palm. That’s not what has them gawking though. The two always knew you were handsome. From the moment Kirishima introduced you to the group, they knew you’d have their hearts squeezed between your fists. It was scary, liking someone you haven’t even seen the face of so much. Then again, they fell in love with your personality, and looks were just extra toppings on the cake.
Buckets full. Your hair was pushed back, and there weren’t even words that could truly describe you. At first, it was hard to believe it was even you. There was reoccurring warmth that spread from their chests to the entirety of their bodies, it seeped out through Sero’s toothy smile and Bakugo’s hard eyes. You had never seen them so bright. It was only closest compared to a moth that found light after years of solitude and darkness. Though they were young, it was still easy to place this emotion. It was overwhelming, it festered and grew in the earliest hours of the morning to the latest hours of the night. But they knew what it was, they knew what it felt like. The happiness, attraction, undeniable pull that lead them back to you could only be engraved in their minds as love.
In simpler terms it was a big, fat crush. It was completely, utterly, and indubitably certain. It was unwavering, the embodiment of sticks and stones.
The way you greet them is so undeniably you. They’d never noticed before, but with hair out of your face you look a lot more kissable. Perhaps they’re moving too fast, thinking too far into their future, but they’d be damned if they couldn’t at least imagine it. There was no such thing as moving too fast when you already crashed from falling head over heels in the first place. They act as if there isn’t anything worming its way into their chests, eating away at their brains and replacing it with thoughts of you or thoughts of your face. Hanta grins, throwing himself down next to you while Katsuki buries his burning hands into his pockets. They’re fucked.
“You could’ve practiced with us.” Sero says, placing all of his weight on the arm of the couch. He has to shimmy to really get comfortable, but seeing as his grin never falters, it wasn’t much of a hassle. It was an invitation, like most things he said to you were. He wanted to spend time with you, what’s so bad about that?
“You’re taking up all the space! Get your feet off the table!” Bakugo growls, pushing Hanta’s legs off the coffee table in front of you. Even though he’s reprimanding Sero for taking up too much space, he sits on your right side, which has nothing to do with where the tape-centric hero sits. It was a habit to make room for him nonetheless. Sero wants to pretend to yawn. He wants to make a move that involves putting his arm around your shoulder that is so horribly cliché. He wants you to make fun of him for it, to have Katsuki join in your teasing, but to ultimately embrace each other anyway.
In Bakugo’s head, it’s a bit different. He wants to make you laugh so he can grunt into his hand while Sero scrambles to add onto his ‘unintentional’ joke. He wants to feel your eyes on his as he pretends to be disinterested in whatever you’re talking about. But he always listens, and he always will. He wants to tell you to cut the bullshit, to just say if you’re willing to date them or not. He’s Katsuki Bakugou, the future number one hero. If he wants something, he gets it. If he wants to say something, he says it.
“Date us already, hairball!” He watches your face morph into surprise while Sero laughs at how characteristically blunt he is. He wishes his mullet were longer, it would’ve covered his strawberry red cheeks right now. Bakugou doesn’t have time to worry if he said something wrong. If he had, Sero wouldn’t be laughing. If he had, he’dve beat himself up for it before he could even say it out loud. “You gonna answer me or what?!”
“Are you for real?! Give him a second!” The blunt, honest truth was that you didn’t know they even liked you. You spent countless nights pining over boys who felt the same exact way. Happiness prances around your stomach and slow dances around your heart. You didn’t need a minute, you didn’t need a second. You already knew what you wanted to say. You liked them just as much as they liked you, and that was abundantly clear.

V3 Boys x SHSL Toy Maker
Shuichi Saihara:
· Shuichi was surprised by how much he had began to rely on you. He didn’t entirely depend on you, but with you life was certainly much easier.
· Shuichi liked your toys, thought of them as cute, but there was never any he was particularly attached too unlike how Kaede likely would be with a toy piano. Even as a child he much preferred reading to anything else, it was his lifelong hobby. He still cherished any toys you gave him though. However, that changed one day.
· It was just a day like any other, Shuichi was in his office discussing being hired by a family for his services. Their pet capybara had gone missing and everyone was upset, especially so were the young children who were distraught and began to bawl. Their parent desperately tried to calm them, but when all attempts had failed, they just started apologizing to Shuichi, who to their confusion was searching through the drawers of his desk. He then squatted on the ground, a few action figures and little stuffed toys in hand, making some comical voice gaining the children’s attention who quickly joined in on playing. After an hour or so, once Shuichi was finally able to pry himself from the fantasy land without upsetting the children, his character haven fallen under a sleeping curse, he got back to his client to discuss the job. When they were to leave, the children refused to part from the toys and Shuichi said it was alright for them to keep the toys. Seeing how good Shuichi was with the children and having toys his client asked if Shuichi had children of his own.
· That question really stuck to him as he searched for the lost pet. He didn’t dislike the idea of having children with you. If you were up for it maybe… it was something to consider. He did become rather fond of the thought though when he had returned the capybara home. He was invited in and found the children so happily playing with your toys. It also hit him in that moment how much joy your work brought, much like how his own work had those children crying with joy to see their furry companion had returned.
· Something about that moment changed him, made him want to rely on you. Your kindness in gifting him your work was able to ease the pain of others. He began to keep a stuffed toy or action figure on his work desk instead of hiding them away, so he could be reminded of you all the time, and to cheer up any more hurt children who came his way. In a way, all your toys were very special to him now, all of them held some personal meaning, showing you both just wanted to make people happy… Maybe that was why he fell so hard for you back at Hope’s Peak, you both had the same dream.
Kaito Momota:
· You made nothing but space for Kaito. Glow in the dark space themed stickers, star and planet projectors, star chart globes, wooden spaceship puzzles, anything space you could think of you made for Kaito. Your boyfriend adored every last one of your gifts, all of them proudly displayed in his room. Kaito always got so giddy when you gave him something, he always showered you in affection in return, Kaito just found it natural to give you affection much of the time, but he was especially so after getting a gift, he had to give you something in return after all!
· After giving Kaito another gift, with that bright grin Kaito lifted you off the ground, spinning around, hugging you close as he flopped onto his bed. “Hey, Y/N. Teach me how to make toys.” “Huh? You? Make toys?” “Hey! What’s with that look!?” “Nothing, I’m just surprised it all.” Kaito huffed, slightly miffed at your response. “So, Kaito Momota, the man with his head up in the stars, why would you want to learn?” “To be with you! And everyone plays. Humans play, dogs play, cats play, birds play, everything plays so if I ran into any aliens I could make them some earth toys!” “……… Fine. It would be nice to have you in the workshop for a day.” “A day!? What do you mean a day!? Wait… you believe I’ll master your craft so quickly?” “No. Like your training you won’t keep it up.” You snickered seeing you successfully had gotten a ruse out of him. “I’ll show you!” And with that you successfully ignited a determination in him to prove you wrong and he’d actually keep up on training with you… for a while at least.
· You underestimated how much of an effect you’d have on him though. There were times when he slacked off in practice or following your teachings, but he never quit entirely. “You seriously thought I’d quit!? Do you even know me! I am Kaito Momota, Luminary of The Stars! I can do anything I set my mind too!” He then presented you some wooden blocks he was working on for you to examine “… Besides, if you think that lowly of me… Then I just have to prove you wrong or you need to raise your standards! You deserve the best boyfriend, and if I’m not that yet, then I’ll become that! It won’t be hard for me! Even when we’re apart and I’m in space I’ll still be the best boyfriend! Or husband! I just have to keep working at it! Just you wait and see. If I’m somehow not now… then I’ll just have to become someone more reliable for you.”
Ryoma Hoshi:
· It was a day like any other, you were hidden away at the back of the store in your little workshop, whittling away on a wooden doll when you heard a knock, knock, knocking on the door. “Come in!” You kept working for a few moments, finishing that last line as not to forget it later before turning to your guest. “Ryoma!” It caught the man off guard for a moment how brightly you smiled upon seeing him. “Hey.” “So, what brings my favorite person here?” You were confused seeing what appeared to be a snapped stick and some string. “It’s probably not cool to ask you something like this, and during work hours at that, but-” “wait, the cat toy broke again!?” “Yep.” You took the pieces, spreading them across your desk. “I knew these things were cheep, but I thought it’s at least last longer than the last one. None of the cats even play roughly, so how?” Baffled you scanned over the pieces. Ryoma stood beside you, watching as you looked over where it broke, mumbling something about materials and cost. “Think you can make one that won’t break.” “Think I can!? Who do you think you’re talking too, of course I can!” “Heh, yeah, I should have known.”
· Ryoma didn’t like distracting you from work, but he rather enjoyed helping you with it. It was always so relaxing helping you gather materials, or to try to mimic your movements and follow your instructions, or to simply watch you. You were always so detailed, yet still found beauty in simplicity, everything you made was perfect.
· “Hmm… aaaaaaaaaand done. This should do!” You passed it to Ryoma, who looked over your completed work. “Thanks. I’m sure they’ll love it.” “Tell Cheese and the rest I say hi and that I love them.” “Heh, I’ll be sure to do that. Thanks.” “Actually.” You stood up, taking off your apron. “My break will be soon, and as boss I can make the executive decision to take off early. I’ll just stay in a little later today to make up for it. Mind if I tag along? Lunch with my favorite cats just sounds lovely.” “You can tag along any time with me.”
· Life could be rather rough after having served his time for Ryoma, but he had you and his cats, the only anything that brought stability and joy back into his life. It always hit him just how much your company meant in little moments like these.
Rantaro Amami:
· No matter how far Rantaro had went in his search he always carried around several of your toys which reminded him of you. One for each of his missing sisters. Something he knew they would like. Rantaro was fearful at times, what if they had changed so much he didn’t know them anymore? If they didn’t like one toy hopefully another would do, the toys were there simply to bring them joy, or to help calm them should they be coming from a stressful situation. Even if none appealed to their taste, surely your work could still draw out a smile, it had been able to do so for so many others, including himself so surely they would still help. And if it somehow didn’t then at least he had them around for his own sake, hugging them close at night when dark thoughts seeped in or when that homesickness crushed him like a boulder.
· It was not often you traveled, almost always needing to be making something to fill up your little shop, it got lots of traffic and often things sold out so you had to try to quickly restock, you didn’t have much time for anything else, but at least you were happy making toys, it was good. Truthfully Rantaro preferred it this way. He was scared that if you were by his side during his search, he’d let you down just like he had with all his sisters, losing you and being unable to find you again. At least, even if it hurt to be apart, he knew where you were. It was a bit of an unrealistic fear since you were an adult who could take care of themselves and you had a phone and knew his number, but… it was still a real fear which had festered deep inside of him. He couldn’t lose you as well. He treated your toys like you in a sense, making sure he always knew where each was, and made sure to not leave any behind when traveling.
· Even if it was only for a short time Rantaro would always return to you. Since you were usually busy all you could really do together was have him watch you work or teach him something you thought he’d find useful while making something like teaching him how to sew. Rantaro always indulged in these times together. He absolutely loved you, and though he liked your toys, they were nothing compared to actually being with you. Soon though the search would continue, at least he had more precious memories along to keep his spirits high.
Gonta Gokuhara:
· Gonta loved all of your toys! He found it amazing how you could turn a single piece of wood into a functional little car or some such. You offered to teach him since he was so fascinated. It was a long process with many injuries along the way, fingers pricked on needles, cuts from carving tools, pinches, even burns, but no matter come what may Gonta never gave up and continued to learn your art! It was something important to you, and Gonta wanted to understand it, if he could understand it, then he’d understand you better, and Gonta wanted to learn as much as he could about the person he loved!
· Though it would not be fair for you to be the only one to be teach so Gonta would teach you all he could about his beloved insects! Gonta wanted you to know him better too after all. Gonta would take you out for walks and such to find some bugs and tell you everything he knew about them. He also thought it good for you to get out of your work shop more often and get some sunshine. All his lessons seemed to have some payoff when you gifted him a realistic looking figure of his beloved bugs.
· Gonta always showed off his gifts to his forest family when he got the chance. He didn’t get to see them often but when he did he’d regal them with everything he had done, including his time spent with you, he even tried teaching them what you taught him, but it never ended well.
· Gonta kept all of your gifts perfectly displayed in his room, making sure to take care of them to not let them fade due to time so they could last even a little longer.
· Gonta was a diligent student eager to learn more, he wanted to be a gentleman after all and Gonta thought that a gentleman should want to understand all things and continue to learn and grow always! He was going to be the best person he could be to make his family proud, and now he had you his partner, he wanted to be the best partner he could be for you! Not only was he growing but learning under you also gave him an excuse to spend more time with you which admittedly at times was more important to him.
· After leaving Hope’s Peak, when Gonta began teaching others of bugs he’d actually use the models you had gifted him as examples. With time you had only become more invaluable to him. You were the only one for him, without a doubt.
Kokichi Oma:
· Kokichi served as a… rather interesting source of inspiration. He practically insisted on being your muse for some reason unknown to you. He’d giddily drag you around town on a whim going wherever. On these excursions Kokichi would buy something seemingly random only moments later asking if you could make something out of it, even goading you into it if necessary. It were as if he were challenging you to think outside of the box. He’d take you to botanical gardens, museums, theme parks, whatever was new in town and asked if you could make a toy based off of something from one of those attractions. You were never short on ideas with him around, that was for certain.
· Kokichi also insisted that you both play with your toys, saying there was no point in making them if you never enjoyed them yourself. He’d take you back to times of being a child, playing pretend, making up stories for the toys, building pillow forts to be castles and whatnot. Often this exercise would give you more ideas, even some improvements, and all the while you were taking quick notes Kokichi would cry out for you to return to your fantasy land with him.
· On occasion Kokichi would commission you to make spy gear for D.I.C.E. Toys with secret compartments that could shoot lasers and sleeping darts and act as walkie talkies, and explode moments after a recorded message was played with a tracking device and maybe even a gps to find some fast food place should they get hungry and maybe even- and the list of things a single item had to accomplish went on, and on, and on. They were large requests, but Kokichi would always insist that only you could accomplish this and no one else. You’d usually give in at some point and take on the request. You always had to adapt, Kokichi always adding or taking out what he wanted at any given time, but in the end he was always satisfied with the product. Coincidentally these requests always came whenever you were losing confidence and when you were struggling with a certain skill which would be a pin point in making the toy work such as wiring.
· Kokichi in his own way was just always looking out for you, making sure your work never felt like work, that you were always having just as much fun as others had playing with your toys.
Korekiyo Shinguji:
· Korekiyo always found great joy in examining your crafts and asking you about them, your inspirations you had, if any for making that particular item, why you used the particular materials you used and whatnot. Most everything was anthropology, and that included your toys. Korekiyo wished to learn how you interpreted this era. He knew without a doubt how your craft would be preserved for eons, future anthropologists studying them, and he wanted an idea of sorts how others might see your work, it was all to beautiful to not be displayed in a museum one day. Kiyo loved having discussions with you, about your distaste for the thought of your work being preserved. To you, your toys were made to be played with and enjoyed so the thought of them being sealed away was disappointing. The pair of you could endlessly discuss the possibility thinking of something new to add to the conversation from such differing points of view. Kiyo was in awe and fascinated by your perspective, he simply had to learn and understand it more!
· When you were becoming unmotivated for your work Kiyo would take you to a museum or even show you his personal collection of artifacts, show you long forgotten toys or others items, perhaps seeing what cultures of the past had crafted could inspire you in the present which it often did, more so Kiyo speaking so thoroughly about it all, a word or phrase in particular capturing your interest and you dashing off back to your work.
· On occasion Kiyo would even try to study how you work, your techniques and such, comparing to what he knew from the past. You even tried teaching him since to you watching something and partaking in an activity were completely different things. Again more discussions ensued from your hands on approach and Kiyo being the observing anthropologist. He so loved these discussions seeing how differing your points of view were, yet you still loved one another and could not want for anyone else.
· You were able to learn and experience so much than you could or would not have on your own without the other. In a way, you were perfect opposites, just similar enough in nature at your core, both wishing to understand one to bring joy the other knowing the past for the future.
Kiibo:
· Though Kiibo had told you on multiple times he had a childhood and grew up like any other human being you were still surprised to see how fond Kiibo was of your toys even getting nostalgic, recalling times when he had similar playthings as a child, Doctor Idamashi even taking time out of his busy schedule to play imaginary games with Kiibo. He was always so tender with the objects, you always put so much time and care into every last one, making sure each was up to your standards and excepting nothing less, working tirelessly till it was… like how Idabashi always worked so hard, all for Kiibo’s sake. Even if your work was not specifically for him, he still held all your efforts so dearly.
· Kiibo however had some… issues with your more electronic toys, like the robot dog, or the futuristic robot dog, or the little robot dog, or the robot dog on wheels, or the robot dog with a toy gun attached to it’s back, or the robot cat, or the futuristic robot dog on wheels… There was a big demand for robot dogs and you always delivered them, much to Kiibo’s chagrin, especially when you were testing them and playing with them and giving them all your attention. You’d try comforting Kiibo by saying he was the only robot for you, but that only ever made him more upset.
· On occasion you’d find Kiibo indulging his inner child, playing with one of your toys only for him to immediately clam up and get embarrassed, his face heating up and flushing a bright pink and his face covering clamping shut in an attempt to cover it upon realizing you had seen him. You’d join in on the fun, Kiibo eventually loosening up and playing again. Kiibo thought it silly, but Kiibo found this fun. It took him back to a time when he was just happy and wasn’t aware of the harsh robophobia the world festered. He could just enjoy himself and feel like a person, forget troubling thoughts, like you thinking he was a mere toy, he could be a child with you and just enjoy your company. Both of you just being human. In a way, it was like you were now apart of his childhood, there for the good times. Kiibo truly loved you, and maybe… just maybe moments like this would get you to see he truly was a person too, so you could love him in the same way.

also, i’m sorry if Kaito seems ooc, i don’t have very much experience writing for him, so i apologize if his part isn’t very good,,, regardless, i hope you enjoy this, darling
☆Mod Nagito☆
warnings: a few swear words
Mondo Owada
— he most definitely doesn’t recognize his feelings for you right away
— sure, he’s had crushes and stuff before, but what he feels for you is different - it’s deeper, stronger, and... more confusing
— poor bby doesn’t understand why you make him feel all fluttery inside :(
— he tries to ignore his feelings at first, but as soon as he sees you talking to another guy, the jealousy pops out
— what the hell does that guy have that he doesn’t? why the fuck would you want to talk to him, anyways? oh my god, do you even want to talk to him? is he bothering you? he’ll fucking beat him to a pulp for annoying you!
— it isn’t until he almost explodes on the poor guy (who was just asking you about that weeks homework, might i add) that Mondo realizes this is most definitely more than just a crush
— obviously, he turns to Chihiro and Taka for advice
— they suggest that he just try to spend a little more time with you, and maybe even flirt a little bit! just something low-key to hint that he likes you, y’know?
— turns out that’s easier said than done
— poor Mondo tries to compliment you and accidentally upsets you by raising his voice so much
— but c’mon, who wouldn’t want to have a big muscly guy like Mondo scream "YOU LOOK CUTE TODAY" right in their face?
— it’s after that unfortunate incident that he elects to try and text you instead of talking face to face. it seems like the safer option given he can’t get anxious and shout at you on accident, after all
— he pretends to just have questions about schoolwork at first, partially to justify getting your number from Chihiro, as well as to avoid accidentally making you uncomfy. the last thing he wants to do is creep you out by being too forward
— it doesn’t take long for the two of you to move past conversing about classwork every now and then to chatting about anything and everything as often as you can
— Mondo sort of can’t believe you’re so eager to talk to him, though he does feel a little bad for still avoiding you at school sometimes. he’s still worried about scaring you away, after all
— over time, it gets harder and harder for him to ignore his feelings for you
— he just can’t stand not being able to call you his s/o
— it takes him a while, but he eventually builds up the courage to tell you how he feels, even though he has no clue if you feel the same way
— Chihiro and Taka may or may not have started to pressure him into just asking you out already, too,,,
— Mondo types out his confession, but chickens out at the last second and can’t bring himself to send the goddamn text
— part of him feels like there’s no way you would want to be with a guy like him. he worries you think he’s too reckless, too intimidating, has too quick of a temper... the list could go on
— or even worse, what if you thought he was lame for spilling out his feelings through a text message instead of doing it in person like a decent man?
— poor Mondo stressed himself out so much he had to take a ride on his bike just to calm his nerves, otherwise he might have exploded from the pressure he put himself under
— so, after getting some fresh air and clearing his mind, Mondo finally sent the lengthy text that spilled out all of his feelings for you - everything he loves about you and more
— he may or may not have hurled his phone across the room like it was some sort of bomb after pressing ‘send’
— but now... all he could do was wait for you to reply
— will you tell him that you love him too?
Gundham Tanaka
— at first he thinks you must have put a curse on him
— why is he unable to take his eyes off you? how come he gets butterflies in his tummy every time you smile at him? surely it’s all the result of some form of dark magic, no?
— but some things can’t be written off as nothing more than a mere hex
— Gundham finds himself unable to focus on anything, his mind plagued with thoughts of you
— when he’s laying in bed at night, all he can think about is how he wishes you were beside him... and that scares him
— love is for mortals, isn’t it? he’s not supposed to have these feelings for you!
— the poor boy tries to force himself to stop loving you, desperately looking for some reason he shouldn’t want to be with you, though all his efforts are futile
— he feels weak, and so, so sad; he doesn’t think it would even be possible for someone like you to love him back. you’re too perfect for someone like him
— his Dark Devas of Destruction don't like seeing their master so upset, especially since they know his insecurities and anxieties are getting in the way of his happiness
— Gundham’s hamsters remind him that he has nothing to lose, and that he should just tell you how he feels! you already care about him, and accept him for who he is - there’s truly no harm in being honest about his feelings, right?
— Gundham decides to write you a love letter, positive he wouldn’t be able to say what he needs to say face to face without screwing something up, or getting too flustered to even speak
— actually, he ends up writing several letters before he ends up with one he deems acceptable for the object of his affections
— he’ll wait for you by your locker after school, the Dark Devas whispering words of encouragement in his ears
— he feels his cheeks heat up a bit when you approach him; his heart feels like it’s going to explode when you smile at him and ask him why he’s waiting for you
— he’ll hand you the eloquently written love letter with no further preamble, pulling his scarf up over his nose to cover up his bright red cheeks
— you also can’t help but blush as you read his romantic confession to you, taken aback by his amorous words
— when you’ve finished reading through his love letter, you meet his eyes, trying to think of the right words to say as he awaits the answer to the question that has burning in his mind for what feels like ages
— do you love him the same way he loves you?
Kaito Momota
— when it comes to pursuing someone he finds himself attracted to, Kaito is certainly more confident than Mondo and Gundham
— he’s a romantic at heart, and maybe a bit over-confident too, so the thought of having to face rejection doesn’t really worry him too much
— once he realizes he’s in love, however, the thought does plague his mind a bit more than he’d like,,, but he’s able to avoid fixating on it
— Kaito is... surprisingly smooth. he knows exactly the right way to flirt with you without making it weird, knows just how to compliment you without being too pushy, and even manages to make cheesy pick up lines seem sweet, rather than cringe-worthy
— when it comes to confessing, though... well, that’s a little harder
— while flirting may come easy to Kaito, confessing his true feelings to you is a little harder. there’s more at risk in that situation, and he can’t brush it off as a joke if you take things the wrong way, or if he screws up somehow
— but he wants to tell you how he feels. he needs to tell you how he feels! he wants to be able to do more than just flirt with you, and try to make you blush
— he wants to hold you, wants to kiss you, wants to have you by his side forever and ever. he loves you, goddammit! he doesn’t want to pretend his feelings towards you are less than that
— so he asks you out on a date - to go stargazing, obviously
— but... that was the easy part
— Kaito spends the days leading up to your date trying to figure out the best way to confess his feelings for you, ultimately deciding that the best option would be to get straight to the point and not beat around the bush, otherwise he might end up saying something dumb
— but that’s about as far his planning goes, really
— when the night of your stargazing date rolls around, he may seem cool and collected, but on the inside, he’s freaking out
— he won’t say what he wants to say straight away, though; he wants to wait for the right moment
— the two of you chitchat under the stars, and Kaito takes every opportunity he gets to point out the constellations visible that night to you
— when it gets late, and there’s a lull in your conversation, Kaito knows that it’s his chance to say what he needs to say
— he looks you in the eyes and tells you everything - how he thinks you’re stunning, and beautiful, and how he wants to have you by his side forever - he says it all, truly speaking his love for you into the world for the first time
— you can tell that he means every word he says; there’s no doubt that what he feels for you isn’t real
— but... will you let him call you his? do you love him, too?

For the entirety of his 20 years of existence, Kudo Shinichi finds himself in one of the most difficult situations.
Everything was going so smoothly. He already had enough clues to figure out who the suspect was. All he needed was evidence to prove his surmises. It was all according to his plans.
Not until the suspect kidnapped Ran.
He should have seen that coming. After all, when the Conan incident ended with his name plastered all over Japanese Television for defeating one of the most notorious criminal organizations in the world, stuff like this happened afterwards.
If they can't target him to shut him up, they'll target the ones he care for. It happened more than once already, but everyone Shinichi knows can defend themselves(he's actually the easiest one to attack).
Hattori Heiji is a fellow detective who can swing a sword really well, Tooyama Kazuha knows Aikido, Masumi Sera is a Jeet Kune Do specialist, his parents are out of the question—or out of the country—, professor Agasa has his inventions, Ai with her scary scientific knowledge, the detective boys' unbeatable luck, Suzuki Sonoko with her boyfriend being the world's strongest security, the FBI and first division are a no go, and even the british detective Hakuba Saguru and phantom thief Kaito Kid can easily fend attackers off.
But the one who's always been the primary victim would be his girlfriend, Mouri Ran. Most of time, he doesn't worry one bit. After all, he knew more than anyone else just how much impact she can do with her karate—the Conan aftermath was proof of his girlfriend's ridiculous strength— and would even be afraid for the criminal, feeling sorry for their battered bodies afterwards. But today was a different matter. Ran was sick and couldn't possibly defend herself in her bad condition.
He believed himself to be a forgiving and understanding man. Being Edogawa Conan taught him a lot of things, including little compassion and sympathy towards even to the most horrible of culprits.
But this man was different. Not only did he involved Ran who had no idea of what's going on, he didn't hesitate, even after knowing she was sick and defenseless.
Shinichi was a kind man through and through, but concerning his innocent and ill girlfriend was a different matter.
Now, he stood on the rooftop of the criminal's twenty floor apartment building, anger barely contained. The man was grinning in that deranged way of his, while holding his girlfriend with a small but clearly sharp knife at her neck. What makes matters worse, was that they're at the very edge, one wrong move and both of them could be flat at the ground, bones broken.
Just from that alone, Shinichi was itching to shoot the man with his pistol but restrained himself. What almost pushed him to doing so however was his girlfriend's tired and pained expression, from her fever and the current predicament.
With the wind blowing furiously, it doesn't take a genius to know that Ran was freezing, specially with her condition.
He blocked out his primitive reaction of shooting the man for now, and willed himself to finish the issue faster, for Ran's sake.
"Listen, you can still go back from this! Just drop the knife and walk away from the edge!"
He shouted, taking two steps towards the two of them. The man only grinned even wider, as if finding something funny about his words.
"Why would I go back there? To just go in jail!? I'd rather die!"
'If you wanna die, then die. Don't take my girl with you!', were the words he wanted to say but decided against it.
Instead, he treaded nearer, trying to look as innocent as possible to not alarm his target.
"You knew what you did was wrong! You'll just have to repent it in prison for a few years! You can't go back from dying!"
The man wasn't having it. He gripped tighter against Ran's neck with his knife getting dangerously close. Shinichi's initial thought was to sprint, but managed to catch himself on time.
"That bitch deserved it you know! She cheated on me when I gave her my everything! I only did what was right for her! What she deserved!"
The man was going crazier by the second. Not that Shinichi could blame him. For all he knew, the suspect was a respectable man who loved his wife very much but it turned out she was cheating on him with another man.
Shinichi couldn't even imagine that happening to him. Even back then as Conan, Ran's faithfulness was so strong that something like cheating or attraction to other men didn't even cross his mind(except with Araide's case, Okita's case and many others).
Still, murder is murder. The husband could have dealt with it in a more rational way but he didn't, causing him to spiral downwards to madness.
Well, Shinichi will most likely go towards the same path as well if he would be unable to save Ran.
"You shouldn't have killed her! She was wrong! Cheating on your partner is stupid and unforgivable! But what you're doing right now is the same! You're only commiting murder! So please, turn yourself in. You can still change."
It seemed to have worked, with the culprit's grin dissipating and his hold on Ran loosening. Shinichi fasten his pace, while the man was still contemplating. But before he can even reach his end goal, the suspect looked at him with vicious but hurt eyes, tears forming.
"You're right. I shouldn't have done something so terrible. But I can't go back now. I can't go to jail."
All the detective could do was to stand there, disheartened by this man's irrationality. He was so close, just a few more steps and it would had been over.
Seeing as the suspect's humanity slipping away, Shinichi tried to take one tentative step at a time.
Before he can even put his right foot in front of him, the man violently shakes Ran, causing Shinichi to froze at his spot.
All his girlfriend could do was slightly whimper, still weak from her fever. The wind wasn't getting any calmer and it was bad for Ran.
"Stop this! Please! Give Ran back to me!"
The desperation was leaking but he didn't care. He was too worried for her to even think of something like pride right now. It wasn't helping that the man was slightly getting unstable from their spot at the edge.
"I'll give your girlfriend back to you in one condition."
The man eyed Shinichi with determined eyes and he didn't like it one bit.
"Call the police right now and tell them that the culprit is my wife's other man."
The detective thought he didn't hear him correctly but the expression on the culprit's face was telling him otherwise.
"Why would I even do that? I'm a detective, my job is to reveal the truth!"
The suspect laughed and the tip of his weapon was now touching his girlfriend's neck. Ran tried to wiggle out from the pain but the man kept her still. Shinichi couldn't do anything but widen his eyes and tried to run at her, only to be stopped by their culprit's daring looks.
"Don't come any closer or I'll slit your girl's throat!"
Seeing his pursuer's conflicted reaction, the suspect's smile was back, even more disturbing than before, lacking of any human compassion he might have had left of him.
"If you know the truth, then you can easily twist it right? You're the great detective Kudo Shinichi! Everyone will believe you!"
"I can't possibly do that!"
Hearing his resolute answer, the culprit slowly averted his eyes towards Ran.
"Not even for you lover?"
He couldn't answer. Because how could he? Choosing between the truth he valued and his most precious person was impossible.
Seconds passed but Shinichi didn't let a word out. He only stared at his girlfriend, with contrast beliefs and emotions swirling in them. The man was getting impatient but before he could speak, a new voice entered.
"Don't do it."
For the first time, Ran spoke. Her voice was hoarse and guttural, but she made sur eit can be heard.
Everything in her body hurts. From her legs that's been almost dangling down the edge, her arms weakly flailing on her side, her stomach wanting to throw up, her entire being physically burning and being cold at the same time. She felt horrible and wanted nothing but to karate chop her kidnapper.
But right now, her focus was on Shinichi, like it has always been whenever they were together. He looked tired, running all the way here from her house where he found out about her disappearance.
He was in deep thought and his eyes were conflicted on what to choose. She knew just how important she was to him, specially after knowing the lengths he had gone through as Conan to protect her. But, she's also aware of his morals and love for the truth.
Ever since they were kids, being a the greatest detective in the world like his idol, Sherlock Holmes had always been Shinichi's biggest dream. It started off as something silly but as they grew older, his dream didn't looked so far away. From all his struggles and successes, Ran was there. She knew all the hard work he put in his job just so he can achieved his childhood wish. She was present in all the steps he took to be this great. To be the Sherlock Holmes of the modern era.
Now, that dream was on the danger of being crushed. If he were to do what the culprit wanted, Shinichi would also lose his chance to achieve his goal. And Ran didn't want that.
"Don't do it."
She said, line more vivid than before.
He didn't know what to say. He wanted to asked her if she was fine, but she clearly wasn't.
"Ran, I-"
"Don't. Please, Shinichi."
He wanted to apologize, because he'll disappoint her with his answer. Yet, he wasn't able to, with Ran not letting him.
She wanted him to choose his morals, but he would lose her. He don't want to—can't—lose her.
However, her next words were what really made his decisions clear.
"Don't lose your dream for me. Please."
Ran wanted to cry but held it in. She needed all her energy for her last move and crying won't save her or anyone.
The man was getting more and more impatient. He waved the knife around blindly, making Shinichi stepped back a little.
Ran wished from the bottom of her heart a distraction could come for her plan to work. But since she didn't have any time, she'll just make one herself.
"You're trying to kill someone innocent. You're not right about anything at all. You're just a killer."
The culprit's attention went to her almost in an instant, fury present in his eyes.
"Silence, woman! Girls like you are all the same with your pretty faces thinking you can get any man! Not being contented with one man who would give his all! Vile! That's what women are! They're vile!"
She wanted to protest, because she's not the same. She'll never be the same. Just the thought of cheating on her lover already makes her want to puke. She would never cheat. After all, Shinichi was enough.
But she had to pretend he wasn't.
"That's right! We're cheaters! Vile people! We never cared about you men at all!"
'What is she doing?'
Shinichi was extremely confused. Ran was obviously lying, trying to provoke the man holding her at a knife point.
'Why would she even try to make someone aggressive when they're in the literal--'
As his mind reached it's conclusion, Shinichi didn't waste any time to move. However, it was a little too late.
The man was already losing his balance himself, making him vulnerable. Ran, with her remaining strength, wished to all gods her plan would work.
Albeit her left arm was tired, she steeled it with everything she got, elbowing the man's stomach and making him instinctively let go of her.
He stumbled forward, while she inevitably stumbled on the opposite direction. Down.
She closed her eyes, succumbing herself to the fall. However, a familiar presence force it to open, and she did.
There, falling with her was the love of her life, who was supposed to be at the rooftop arresting the man. Instead, he was reaching out to her, ready to die.
Suddenly feeling all the pain and tiredness, against her mental protest, she blacked out.
-
It was a good thing Hattori was there when he went back at the office temporarily. His best friend noticed his strange actions and decided to follow him.
Knowing that they were in a pretty tight spot and seeing Ran and the culprit at the edge, the Osakan detective dashed to find a trampoline, in case of the worst case scenario. Fortunately, he managed to hugged Ran's unconscious form and guide her through the unexpected trampoline while falling down.
Shinichi truly owed Hattori this time.
As they walked out the police station hand in hand, Ran looked uneasy. She managed to regain conciousness when they were already at the station, making a witness report. He didn't wanna do it in Ran's condition but he knew he caused enough trouble at them already.
He squeezed her hand, letting her look at his direction.
"Is there something wrong? Don't worry we'll get home soon and you can get some rest."
Ran's eyes slightly widened at his words. She then smiled, but it was strained.
Worry taking over him, he put his forehead on hers, feeling her hot one.
Ran instinctively blushed and tried to pushed him away. However, being stubborn had always been Shinichi's strongest points, so he didn't backed down. Instead, he asked.
"What's wrong? Did I do something wrong?"
With such a soft and gentle way of questioning, Ran couldn't help but give in and let her hands go to both sides of his handsome face, feeling his skin under her warm—felt cold to her—fingertips. Then, she breathed heavily before speaking.
"What you did was reckless. You shouldn't have jumped after me."
Shinichi regarded her a confused look.
"What wouldn't I? I didn't know Hattori was there. So I thought you would really--"
"Still, you shouldn't have done that. What if Hattori-kun wasn't there?"
"Then we would both die."
He spoke in such a calm and nonchalant manner making Ran annoyed at him not getting her point. She bunped him lightly, making Shinichi backed a little bit away.
"Ouch! What did you that for?"
"Because you were being dumb! You could have died back there Shinichi!"
He returned his forehead against her, leaning again. He closed his eyes this time, looking peaceful, like they weren't in the brink of death just a while ago.
"I could have. But so were you."
His voice was laced with pain, specially at the last part. Tears gathered around her violet irises but she willed for them not fall.
"You have a dream Shinichi. You had it since you were little."
He nodded at her words, still looking unbothered even with the confirmation. Frustrated, she continued on.
"You would have killed yourself back there. Why didn't you listen to me? I told you didn't I? Don't give up your dream for me."
He smiled, catching her off guard. It was so sincere and bright that Ran wanted to step away. When she was about to do so however, he encircled his arms around her waist, pulling her closer as much as possible.
She opened her mouth, ready to reason out but was beaten by his answer.
"You told me to not give up my dream for you but,"
His next words left her breathless, tears finally cascading down her soft cheek.
"You are my dream, Ran."
-
I wrote this instead of sleeping, forgive me for its lameness.

korekiyo, kokichi, rantaro, byakuya, and shuichi with a crush who messes up their name
this is such a pure ask and i am in love with it
literally this was so much fun to write omg thank you !!! - mod kokichi
[ K O R E K I Y O ]
- you,, you usually refrained from saying anyone's name, but especially korekiyo's
- if you could get away with it, you'd just find a way to avoid it all together
- it wasn't because you felt like you would be cursed if you said his name ! or anything like that !
- you were just,, slightly afraid to say his name
- because you, well, you couldn't remember it very well. you were kind of bad with all names.
- and you didn't want him to feel like you were insulting him when you say the wrong name, so you just don't, to solve the problem
- but, ah, eventually the procrastinator has to get the work done eventually, and every plan fails at some point
- you were hanging out with korekiyo at the library, talking about the mummification process that the ancient egyptians used
- he was sitting at the table closest to the bookshelf, his back turned to it as he read his book while idly chatting with you
- someone was on the ladder, messing around with the books ( this looks way too familiar,, oh no )
- you weren't paying much attention to them, figuring that they knew what they were doing
- sometime within a few minutes though, they misplaced a book, and it felt from the shelf, aimed straight for korekiyo
- s / o : " KONEKIRE, LOOK OUT ! "
- he didn't even notice the book, and it hit him square in the shoulder, but it didn’t look like was in pain from the book, but rather on whatever you just called him
- he just kind of stood there dumbfounded for a moment
- korekiyo : " what did you just call me ? "
- after that, he honestly gave you a lecture about how to remember names properly
- it lowkey makes him chuckle every time you get his name wrong, purely because he can't understand why you can't grasp his name
- he'd never tell y ou but the amount of research he's done about having a bad time remembering names is,, unfathomable
[ K O K I C H I ]
- he takes it as a joke to be honest ??
- it didn't register to him that this was a thing that you did to everyone
- and he'd get a little salty when he learns that it's not an inside joke and that it's just how you are with all names
- like, he thinks that you're trying to insult him every time you mistake his name for something else, so he often goes along with it and teases you for thinking that joke would work on him
- it was only until you once called him " kocookie " instead of kokichi that he lost his shit
- in your defense, you were together in the kitchen while kirumi and teruteru fought over who made the best food
- and you MEANT to say " kokichi, can you give me the cookies ? "
- but what you said was a little more jumbled, and made a lot less sense,,
- s / o : " kocookie, can you give me the ki -i ?? "
- you had stopped dead in your tracts, just feeling that there was no redemption from this
- kokichi : " kocookie ? you aren't even trying now, s / o ! seriously, think before you speak ! "
- s / o : " ,, hey, that was totally planned. it's your new nickname, kocookie. "
- kokichi : " well, it's a lame nickname ! give me a nickname that fits my personality ! "
- s / o : " koliar just doesn't sound as cute as kocookie, sorry. "
- yeah, he walked into that one, but he had this stupid grin on his face, so you knew he wasn't upset
- after that, you were only ever allowed to call him kocookie, or just cookie for short
- he would get seriously butthurt if you said any other name but that one, and would correct you a hundred times until you got it right
[ R A N T A R O ]
- he really tried to correct you for the first hundred times you missaid his name
- at first he thought it was because you were bad with names, and he'd politely remind you of his full name, just in case you actually thought that the way you incorrectly said was actually right
- and then he thought it might be because you try to speak too fast, so he'd warn you to slow down while talking
- he was so chill throughout your entire experience, and found it incredibly endearing
- he seriously felt like he was tutoring you like a mentor would his student
- s / o : " ramtara - can you help me with this problem ? "
- rantaro : " i can, but that's not my name. "
- s / o : " i know ! i just, uh, i dunno. i got this. give me a second. sanrio ? "
- rantaro : " that's the company hello kitty is from, not my name. "
- s / o : " ah, yes, of course ! i was just joking. would you perhaps tell me what your name is ? just so, you know, i can tell that you know ! "
- rantaro : " it's rantaro amami. but you were close ! last time you called me ' megumi ', which is a girl's name and not even close to my actual name, so you're getting closer ! "
- these little interactions would be almost daily, and he can't lie and say he doesn't enjoy it
- he finds that little quirk of yours incredibly cute, and would sometimes lightheartedly tease you about it softly whenever he felt like it
- he would eventually give up, however, and opt for a nickname
[ B Y A K U Y A ]
- mad bOOIII
- at first when you said his name wrong, like buyakuma or something stupid like that
- he had looked at you as if you were the scum of the earth and corrected you in a really snotty fashion
- that was before he realized he had a, uh, a ᶜʳᵘˢʰ on you
- ew, just saying that made him feel gross
- relationships and feelings were gross to him let's be honest
- but he did, indeed, have feelings for you, which is something that he couldn't deny to himself
- every time you would mess up his name after he recognized this thing that he considers a fault in him, he felt this weird feeling in his chest
- was he upset that you couldn't remember his name ? did he find it to be part of your charm ? did he think he was going crazy ? the last one was the only question he could answer with a yes for certain
- it's not like him to waste time on something useless, and by god he found correcting you to be useless, so he just let you do your thing
- a few times he would catch one of the people around you correct you, and you would gasp a little bit and nod eccentrically, stealing a few glances over at him as if you were trying to make sure he didn't notice
- he always pretended that he didn't see you, of course
- after a little while of this going on, he literally confronted you about it
- he had paid enough attention to see that you do this to everyone, but he was a little exasperated that you couldn't remember h i s name
- that ended with a bit of embarrassment on both sides, but that's a story for another time ;)
[ S H U I C H I ]
- he got so emo about it omg poor babieee
- literally
- he was so convinced that you didn't like him
- you didn't even bother to remember his name, and it bothered him to no end
- he would confide in kaede, maki, and kaito about it
- they would all try to tell him that you were just like that, and that you made that mistake for everyone
- but stiiiiiill, why couldn't you remember his name ?
- he took it as almost a surefire sign that you didn't like him back
- after all, it didn't make sense to him that you would forget the name of someone you liked
- so when he got the message in his locker telling him to go to the empty classroom with some chocolates, he fell apart thinking about how he was going to have to reject someone because he wasn't interested in them, he was interested in you, and you weren't into him like that
- hopefully he would still be able to keep the chocolates,,
- during lunch, he snuck away from his friend group ( all who were aware of your plan, of course, but they couldn't tell him that )
- he walked around the school for a few moments, forcing himself to get the confidence to walk in there, profess his love to you so the person who liked him could understand he already had his heart set on someone else, and walk out of there
- it kinda worked out that way, too
- shuichi slammed open the door, and before it clicked who it was, shouted " i'm sorry, but i don't have feelings for you ! i like s / o ! "
- you stood there for a minute, waiting for him to realize who it was
- s / o : “ shuchia, what the - ? “
- that was,,, ,, that's a memory you'll never be able to forget. you'll definitely be telling your children that story one day

Momoharu Week 2021. Day 6: Flower Language
Maki closed her textbook with a heavy sigh. She had been reading it for a few hours and her eyes were starting to feel strained at that moment. She leaned back on the couch, taking in everything around her. She smelled the soothing scent of a candle she had lit, but she also smelled a small trace of smoke as the candle had burnt itself out a while ago now. A cup of tea was on the coffee table in front of her, but it had gone stone cold since Maki was more focused on studying.
As Maki closed her eyes, she tried to listen out for her roommate, Kaito Momota. He was normally bugging her about studying too much, and being a loud, obnoxious idiot, but strangely enough, he left her alone. Maybe he was studying himself. As much as Kaito acts like an idiot half the time, he was serious about his studies. That’s one of the things that Maki liked about him in a way. Secretly, Maki liked a lot of things about him. She couldn’t tell him though. The idiot cares more about space than anything or anyone else. At least they can be friends though, right?
A knock on the door snapped Maki out of her thoughts. She waited to see if Kaito would answer for her, but he must have his headphones on. She made her way to the door and peeped through the peephole. There wasn’t anyone standing there. Maki opened the door, wondering if it was some kid pranking her. She thought that she heard someone running to the stairs in the apartment building. However, before she could give chase, she spotted something at her feet. It was an iris. And tied to the stem was a small piece of paper. Maki gently picked it up, and looked at the paper. She read the neat handwriting scrawled on it.
I have a message for you...
Maki raised an eyebrow at the note. A message? She didn’t quite recognise the handwriting. It was quite neat looking. Maki looked down, spotting more irises on the floor, making a trail along the halls. They were going in the opposite direction as to where she heard the footsteps going. They must not have wanted o get caught this soon. After grabbing her key into the apartment, just in case it was a prank, she followed them, picking up the flowers as she went. They were all at least five footsteps apart. The corridor of the apartment building were dimmed down since it was now quite late. Some of the other apartments had their lights turned off, but a couple were still on, a dim light shining from under the door. No one seemed to still be in the corridor, leaving the flowers in good condition. Maki was still collecting the irises until she suddenly found herself picking up a lily. Just like with the first iris, the lily had a note tied to the stem.
...I think that you are more beautiful than the universe itself...
Maki found herself blushing a little. So this person is a secret admirer? Maki tried not to think about it too much. She never saw herself as being someone beautiful. She never really cared that much about how she looks. So for someone to say that she was is a whole new experience for her. She didn’t quite know how to react. She didn’t know if she should feel flattered, or creeped out. If this person does something that makes her feel uncomfortable, she’ll run right back to the apartment.
So far the flower trail was taking her in the direction of the lift. The number of flowers was starting to build up in her hand. If this kept up, she’ll end up with a full bouquet and have to hold it in both hands. The flowers suddenly switched again to yellow tulips. Maki didn’t hesitate in reading the note attached to the stem.
...when I see your smile, it’s bright like the sun...
Maki didn’t realise it, but she found herself smiling. As stated before, she never saw herself as someone good looking. She didn’t know if this guy was being genuine or if they were playing a cruel trick. Something told her that she wasn’t being tricked though. This person went so far to make this effort to make all this for her. Someone putting their heart into this had to be genuine.
Shaking off any doubt, Maki kept picking up the flowers. She kept on going until she found herself at the lift. Curious, Maki pressed the button to summon the lift. Immediately, there was a loud ping as the lift doors opened up for her. Maki was a little surprised at how quick the lift was suddenly there. It was like it was waiting for her the entire time. As the doors opened, they revealed a small pile of carefully placed violets. She knelt down, gently sifting through the pile until she found the violet with the note tied to it.
...I’ll always be there for you, and, no matter what, I’ll never leave you behind...
A promise to always be by her side? Maki never quite realised that she needed someone like that. It sounds nice to have that in her life. Maki looked around the inside of the lift, seeing that a post it note was stuck next to the lift floor buttons. An arrow drawn on it was pointing to the one that would take Maki to the roof. So this is why this guy ran to the stairs, so he could beat her to the roof. He was lucky that she didn’t chase right after him, otherwise all of this effort would have gone to waste. Wondering where this was going to go, Maki accepted the invitation. As the lift doors closed, she scooped up the remaining violets. The flowers were carefully bunched together, now looking like they were ready to burst out of the hand Maki held them in. There was a quiet hum as the the lift accented, taking her to the roof. There was a slight movement as the lift slowly came to a stop and a loud ding resonated before the doors opened again. Left in front of the lift, was a trail of pink roses. Maki carefully picked up the first one, making sure to avoid the thorns. Her eyes were also greeted with the note tied to the stem.
...I’ll do whatever I can to make you happy...
Maki again smiled at the thought of a person like this in her life. It sounded a bit corny or even childish, but she truly felt like she needed this. She didn’t realise how lonely she was. Suddenly feeling more keen, Maki went outside, into the apartment’s roof garden, carrying the flowers in both hands now. It was a almost messy bouquet, a mixture of different flowers, but Maki didn’t mind it. She actually liked it. The rich scent of flowers filled the air, blown a little bit by the night’s breeze. The lights were turned off, but Maki could see a dim light. She stepped closer to it and stood frozen in surprise. Far away from the flowers and plants, a large blanket had been laid out on the ground with candlelit lanterns dotted around it.
Maki was quite taken aback by how this area was set up. This person really wanted to go that far for her? Not all of it made sense as to why, but Maki really wanted to see how this ended. If this guy (or girl) was genuine, then she’ll give the relationship a try. But if they were going to be a creep about it, she will just walk away and pretend that it never happened. With that in mind, she approached the blanket, expecting to find the last species of flower waiting there for her. But there wasn’t any new flower, no continuation of the message. She looked around, wondering if the flower had been blown off somewhere by mistake. That was when she felt someone walking up to her from behind. Maki turned around and was met face to face with Kaito. She was in so much shock that she almost dropped the flowers that she was holding. Her face involuntarily went a little pink as reality sunk in. The guy that she had been secretly crushing in had feelings for her too? He really did all of this use to tell her all those things she read on the notes? Kaito seemed unfazed by Maki’s shock as he held up something in his hand, offering her a red rose. And with a smile on his face, he finally finished the message verbally:
“Because I love you.”
Iris: message
Lilly, calla: beauty
Yellow tulip: sunshine in your smile
Violet: loyalty, devotion, faithfulness, modesty
Pink roses: happiness
Red roses: love, I love you

Accidental Marriage for Kisuke and Erich (please let Erich be a werewolf, or a weresomething) or soulmates for Kaito and Tatsuki.
(Erich as were-lynx // added rand-genned second trope: Bodyguard Falls In Love With Client)
(In this AU, Quincy aren’t the only werebeasts, it’s a common and normalized thing throughout the population, as is magic which replaces spiritual powers.)
“So I have good news and I have bad news, which do you want first?”
Erich rumbles a protest and rolls over, shoving his muzzle beneath one of his pillows and laying his ears flat against his head; it is far too early for how awake Urahara sounds, which means the man probably hasn’t gone to sleep yet.
Which means he’s going to have to run interference all day, because a sleep-deprived Urahara is a terror to everyone around him, and he really doesn’t need any more people out for Urahara’s blood.
(Not that Urahara seemed to care at all, the bastard.)
(Urahara had spent the first month and a half of the contract trying to lose him in every conceivable way possible.)
(Still, he’s lasted longer than any other bodyguard the Shihoin had hired for the man, so… he supposes he should be proud.)
A hand settles on his head, fingers sinking into his fur and scratching just so at the base of one ear; it’s an indulgence he hasn’t allowed himself in a long time and he takes a deep breath, a purr rumbling in his chest as he savors Urahara’s scent—
(Wait.)
(Urahara’s scent?)
Erich snaps from his half-asleep daze and twists around, seizing Urahara’s arm in his mouth and clamping down, teeth millimeters from breaking the man’s skin.
Urahara freezes, eyes wide and lips parted, and murmurs, “Uh… good kitty? Nice ki— ow! Sorry! Sorry!”
Erich heaves a sigh and lets go of the man’s arm in favor of scanning the room he’s in; it’s Urahara’s room, though why the hell he was sleeping in the man’s bed he… has no idea. He doesn’t think they did anything the previous night—
(Surely he’d remember, wouldn’t he?)
—so him being here on his day off is… strange.
(Damnit, whatever happened, he hopes he didn’t give any indication of his growing crush on the man!)
“Maa, so now that you’re awake, good news or bad news first?” Urahara asks as he straightens up and rubs absently at the red marks on his arm that Erich’s teeth left behind.
Erich gives him an exasperated look at the question, then closes his eyes and concentrates, pulling his body out of his true lynx form and into a more humanoid form so he can actually answer. “Knowing what you consider ‘good’ and ‘bad’, I’m not sure I want to hear either,” he says as soon as the change settles.
Urahara chuckles awkwardly and rubs at the back of his head, then says, “Ah, well… good news, you make an adorable lynx?” When Erich just scowls at him, ears flattening against his head and lips curling back to display his canines, Urahara raises his hands in defense and babbles, “I mean, that wasn’t what I meant to say! Er, a-anyway! Good news! The symposium has agreed that you can come along!”
“And what, exactly, is the ‘bad news’ that goes along with this,” Erich asks warily, not trusting Urahara’s news in the slightest; the symposium the man is talking about is famous for being invitation-only, and ‘bodyguard’ has never been one of their invitation criteria. If the Shihoin had to bribe someone to get him in, they’re almost certainly going to hold that over his head until he can pay them back somehow.
(Though he wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest by it; he’s the first bodyguard in years who’s lasted more than six months with Urahara.)
(It’s no surprise that they’d want… insurance… against him suddenly quitting.)
“W-eeellll…” Urahara hesitates a moment, then flashes Erich a bright mask of a smile and says, “Remember those forms we had to sign a while back that I said not to worry about at all because it was just for a pretense and the Shihoin would take care of everything to make sure nothing untoward happened?”
The breath catches in Erich’s throat as his eyes go wide, knowing exactly what forms Urahara is talking about; the forms had been vague as to their purpose but the terms had been reasonable enough, just another contract amongst all the other contracts he’d needed to fill out during his time as Urahara’s bodyguard. He’d thought nothing of it at the time, especially when nothing had seemed to change about, well, anything.
(He should have known better.)
(It’s the Shihoin, after all!)
“What. Happened,” Erich forces out as soon as he untangles his thoughts enough to speak.
Urahara bites his lip and looks away, shoulders hunching in just like every time something uncomfortable comes up. It makes Urahara look smaller, more vulnerable, even though Erich knows it’s a lie.
(He still wants to reach out.)
(Still wants to pull the man into his arms and hold him close and reassure him that everything will be alright—)
Erich desperately shoves his emotions aside and clasps his hands together to keep himself from acting on his desires; Urahara is his charge and he cannot afford to let his emotions interfere. One day this contract will be up and then he’ll have to find a new contract, a new employer, and if that puts him at odds with Urahara and the Shihoin then he’ll have no choice in the matter.
(Emotions, he learned long ago, are more trouble than they’re worth.)
“Urahara, explain,” Erich prompts when the man remains silent, wondering exactly what’s happened to make the normally talkative man clam up.
“You’re uh… you’re listed as my husband now, so the symposium will allow you to come with me,” Urahara mumbles, still not meeting Erich’s gaze.
Erich freezes, claws digging into his skin as his hands tighten around each other, but the pain doesn’t miraculously wake him up from what has to be a nightmare. “Pardon?” he asks faintly, hoping desperately that he heard wrong.
Urahara swallows and repeats, “The Shihoin set up an arrangement a while back to make us look engaged in order to lessen scrutiny on you for uh… being around so much, but someone uh… someone… actually filed it. We’re married now. It’s fine, though! I’m… I asked Yoruichi to look into it so I’m sure it’ll be fixed soon! But until then, on paper we’re married, so you can get into places you otherwise couldn’t.”
(‘It’s fine, though’?)
(His own growing fondness of the man aside, Urahara barely tolerates him most days, and now it’s ‘fine’ that they’re listed as married?)
(There’s a catch here and he’s not looking forward to discovering it.)
“I’m surprised you’re going along with this,” Erich says as he leans forward a bit, scenting the air in an attempt to get a clearer understanding of Urahara’s state; all he smells is nervousness-caution-anxiety though, and that he could piece together just from the man’s body language. “You’ve been trying for months to get rid of me, and now you’re fine with me tagging along?”
“Maa, well… you’re… not as bad as some of the other bodyguards the Shihoin have foisted on me,” Urahara says with a grimace and a small shrug. “At least you listen to me instead of just trying to order me around.” He pauses and eyes Erich in consideration, one hand half-raising as if to reach out before he clearly thinks better of it and drops it back to his side. “Though you being a werelynx probably explains how you managed to keep up with me all the times I tried to dodge you.”
Erich hums, unwilling to confirm Urahara’s guess even if it is somewhat accurate; he has been utilizing on his lynx side when the moon isn’t full, but that’s not the only thing letting him keep up with the man. He’s always had a good sense of who a person is and how they will react, and that, more than anything else, has let him figure Urahara’s habits out with a minimum of issue.
But if Urahara wants to think it’s because he can enhance his senses while the moon is down, the man is welcome to his assumptions.
(It won’t help Urahara anyway.)
(He already knows the man’s habits.)
Urahara watches him for a moment, then cautiously asks, “Rerugen-san…?”
“There’s nothing we can do about it for now,” Erich says with a touch of resignation, eyes closing as one paw-like hand rises to rub at the side of his muzzle. “Get me registered for that symposium as well, and give me the paper you’re submitting. I might as well do my best to pretend knowledge of your field so I’m not entirely out of place.” He casts a despairing look down at his furred arms, ears flattening in annoyance as he adds, “Not like I’m going anywhere until moonset anyway.”
(Usually he’s tucked away somewhere private well before moonrise.)
(He’s spent his life keeping his were-form secret for exactly the sort of edge it let him have over Urahara.)
(He’s not about to discard that just because one person found out.)
“Ah… alright then,” Urahara agrees, tone bemused and gaze calculating. “I’ll get you a copy to read. If you have any questions let me know.”
Erich gives Urahara a sharp nod, internally hoping against hope that he won’t need to ask the man anything. As much as he’s come to like Urahara, he’s not unobservant; Urahara doesn’t do explanations, not willingly at least, and when he does explain things, he does a poor job of it. Not on purpose, Erich suspects, just… Urahara is a genius and rarely pauses to consider that no one else around him is.
(He’ll be better off looking things up online, he suspects.)
(Well… so long as Urahara doesn’t notice.)
(Otherwise the man will pout at him.)
(…why does he like Urahara again…?)
(Ugh, emotions are such a nuisance…)
#erich/kisuke#bleach#bleach/tanya#tanya the evil#this one is probably going to get continued at some point#i really like the premise i have#ah well#also i'll probably do another post with the kaito/tatsuki prompt as well#it should be fun too#Anonymous#replies

here is a post of Why I Like Nanamaru Sanbatsu which may or may not also be a Reasons Why You Should Watch Nanamaru Sanbatsu but it’s not made with the intent of persuasion and more of me just gushing over things because this isn’t spoiler friendly
1) Niche Sport
I’m not a stranger to “Sport but it doesn’t involve Ball or Sweat”. That’s a lie, the players sweat a lot in Chihayafuru. The fact that Sasaijma (and then another character in the later chapters in the manga) refer to Karuta is a reason enough to pick up the series. Hikaru no Go was one of my earlier sports anime as well. It’s not like I was a fan of Go or Karuta either but the way the characters wholeheartedly loved what they were doing (and competitively), it made me love it as well. The same definitely goes for Quiz Bowl. While the two I listed were something I completely had no clue how the rules go, Quiz Bowl is a bit more obvious so it’s easier to get into.
(kinda hate these promo pics because there looks like so many fcking charas but really you just need to remember like 5 of them)
2) Nerdy Protag in a Sports anime
Actually coming from YowaPeda, Crunchyroll recommended this amongst other things. YowaPeda did the trope a lot better, given that you’d never associate an Otaku with Biking while a Bookworm being associated with Quiz Bowl does not seem unheard of. But the idea of a nerdy protagonist in a competitive sport was still an allure.
And oops, I think Koshiyama is a cutie so there’s a huge bias towards that. The fact that Horie Shun who voices Enta Jinnai from Sarazanmai voices Koshiyama Shiki gave me a laugh and he actually fits his role very well. Further emphasizes his cuteness without Enta’s weird gay crush lol
3) Ishikawa Kaito
I’m not above watching anime for seiyuu reasons alone but I actually went in blind with this series and to my surprise one of my favs was in it. I’d known Kaito mostly for Kageyama Tobio first, but he’s gone through so many other roles that I enjoy (Kaki from Pokemon SM, Iida from BokuHero, Mimura Subaru from 2.43) and I’ve watched a lot of seiyuu events/radios with him so I’m just a big fan of him in general. Dunno if I should have just merged this point with the next but-
4) Mikuriya Chisato
Kaito has The Range and can do whatever role he wants (I’m most impressed by his role as Alan from BNA) but I think I have a weakness for when he’s slightly an asshole. Mikuriya gave off the generic rival trope, which he kind of is. I got some Subaru vibes from him as well. I don’t know if he’s canonically handsome, but yes I think he’s very good looking for an anime character. Plus the fact that he’s The Cool Guy but is participating in such a sport as Quiz Bowl. AND the moe gap that is his feminine sounding first name and the possibility that he might also actually be an otaku is 👌👌👌👌
My friend had tagged something with him as “Chazz Princeton with a haircut” and while Not Entirely, he is the “We are not friends, we are rivals but I interact and help you enough that we are practically friends but i will continue to deny it” and I love that trope. The way he’s so not interested in Gorls or Nonsense reminds me of Manga Manjoume, though nowhere as serious because he is not above nonsense himself.
5) Fukami Mari
The moment she was introduced, I had very low expectations for her. Of course she is the one that drags Koshiyama into the Quiz Bowl world BUT she doesn’t fall into the trope of “Female is very good at The Thing, BUT Newbie Male MC does it better than her almost immediately”. I’m so glad for that because as you go on with the series, she is very much an entire character and not just a female support cast.
She loves Quiz Bowl but she’s not the best or even very good at it. Her childhood friend from another school (which I was 75% betting that it was going to be a male and a potential love interest) turned out to be a female friend. Instead of “cat fight”, they are still very amicable towards each other and support each other but also acknowledge each other as rivals. The fact that Yuki had only started Quiz Bowl because of Mari but liked it enough to continue on by herself, I think that’s really great.
The anime doesn’t get to it, but she confronts her brother about why he quit Quiz Bowl and challenges him. She has her own goals and ambitions and you see her working on it. She also has her strengths and weaknesses and is a vital addition to the Buzou Quiz Team. Fukami Mari is A Good Girl and I won’t tolerate any slander towards her. The way the beginning of the series sexuallizes her via putting her and Koshiyama into generic anime situations is so uncomfortable but I’m glad they move past that later.
Also since their group isn’t technically a Club (?) Mari isn’t just Female Manager. A plus to Quiz Bowl being Co-Ed sport.
6) Quiz Questions
I like trivia. It’s a little harder to guess the questions along with the anime because you’d have to pause all the time and half the time the contestants are going to buzz in early before you hear the entire question. Unfortunately, unless you actually are a fan of random knowledge or a huge nerd, the questions might actually be hard as well. I literally only knew about 3 questions asked in the entire series and its the anime/manga related ones lol. Still, I enjoyed seeing the characters draw their conclusions and to know what each character’s strong and weak points were. (Mikuriya using Math to calculate the Day of the Week from the past was 😚👌)
7) Side Characters
The first one I’m thinking is obviously Sonohara Akira. The moment of his first appearance, I had a hunch that it wasn’t exactly as it looked. He’s a little schemer but he has his own code of ethics, so he’s not all that bad. (Also hes A Gamer, so Relatable.) The fact that he’s related to Sonohara of Asagaoka makes it all the more interesting because they're’ so different. The way everyone reacts to him is so interesting because he doesn’t take it seriously while everyone else does. My favorite interactions with him aside from the Akiba Squad are the ones with Ookura. (I actually prefer to ship them over Niina/Akira lol)
Sasajima, mysterious Quiz Master with a past related to Fukami’s brother, who used to go to the Prestigious Quiz King School. Character wise, he doesn’t seem interesting but I love his idea of what a Quiz Bowl should be. My favorite parts of a series is when they love the thing they do, and that having fun is what is the most important. Of course you have to be fairly good at the thing first to be able to enjoy yourself freely but he never brags and is a supportive senpai.
Jinko. She’s cute. That’s good enough for me lol. I guess her Electronics Thing is also pretty cool. I like seeing the Sasajimas interact.
8) Ship
Okay, well, its obvious where I fall here. I don’t remember the last time I’ve watched such a generic sport series with a one on one protag vs rival. I’m not above shipping the “obvious/main” ship, as SasuNaru and Edgewright are some of my ships. However I didn’t ship Akira/Hikaru and I don’t ship KageHina but I do ship something like Manjoume/Judai and if asked MakoHaru vs RinHaru, I’d pick the latter, so it might just be a matter of tastes and I won’t fall immediately into every “rival” ship.
So why would I ship Mikuriya/Koshiyama? Because I love it when the Cool Guy falls for the Nerd and EXTRA POINTS if the Cool Guy is also secretly a nerd too. When I mean secretly a nerd, I don’t mean Mikuriya being on quiz bowl but that he might be a closet Otaku. (ImaSaka is everything about this trope.)
Anyway, they are the main two rivals in the series, so of course they acknowledge each other. Koshiyama took it so dramatically but in the past, nobody cared about his presence, let alone think that he’s a Threat. Mikuriya is a Hot Shot and thinks he’s better than everyone but this newb with potential beat him one time (unofficially) so he’s automatically curious.
Even though it is Hot Blooded Competition, Mikuriya always seems to encourage and cheer Koshiyama on (in his own rival-y way of course) whenever he feels down about not being strong enough to compete with him. (When they were lining up for the Third round at Asagaoka) Even when Koshiyama lost, after Mikuriya had a huge handicap, Mikuriya tells him he’ll take him on anytime. The fact that he wants to do Quiz Bowl with (against) him, is practically Sports Anime confession. “I won’t wait for you, Git Gud” “Okay I will Git Gud so we can fight again” *Fist Bump* What are you guys doing.
It might just be the art style but there is a copious amount of blushing happening every time the two interact. Also that height difference!! Mikuriya is 172 while Koshiyama is 153, I fucking love it.
Uhhhh that’s about it. I would like to gush more but there’s only a few chapters of the manga that’s been fan translated and it’s not even half of what’s actually out there. (I think the manga is complete by now?) There’s only one anime season of the series, and I doubt there’s going to be more so RIP me.

So yesterday me and couple of friends were playing uno cards things got crazy LMAOOO. So than I thought what if everyone in the base played uno including overhaul, his s/o, kaito, kin, haru, kurono, mimic, rappa and the rest of the members. Sorry I forgot the names of the rest of the guys ;-;
Its okay they are eight in total so its gard sometimes to remember all of their names 😂
"This is ridiculous."
"You say that because you only have red cards hon..." you muttered receiving a pinch on your side which made you yelp.
"No cheating brat. Have your eyes on your own cards."
"I didn't even look!"
"That is kinda true." Chrono interjected, eyes still focused on his left four cards.
"Shut it blockhead."
A break of the tension on always working on the yakusa business was rare but definitely appreciated by their members and surprisingly interesting and accepted.
... especially when the young leader's lover had suggested on playing cards.
At first you wanted ALL of the eight precepts but Chisaki immediately turned down the idea, only accepting a few to enter the game; which he was hesitant to even play..
Why couldn't just only BOTH of you and him play shogi instead...?
"Come on! Why not all of them?"
"Some of them think themselfs that they are just trash and only will bother us. I didn't even say nothing but they quickly neglected, saying that they weren't worth it."
Poor of those three...
"So... who is playing them? Besides Irinaka and Kurono?"
"I'm GoiNg To CruSH ThEm AlL To DuST!" Yelled Mimic from the other side of the room while Chrono deadpanned.
"Is just a card game..."
"No, no Kurono." You interrupted "He is right. Is UNO that we are talking about, so I'm going to crush all of enemies down."
Chisaki for a brief moment widen his eyes at your words before sighing in annoyance, you were always dramatic, so this was just a show...
It wasn't..
It was honestly kinda intriguing how such a stupid game had proved to be such a... murderous one.
"Not wanting to bust ya bubble arrow hair but TaKE ShIT!" Irinaka yelled while hitting a plus four om the table, laughing maniacally at Kurono's expression.
"... I fucking hate you Mimic." Hari growled in rage as he picked more cards to his deck.
Rappa started to laugh out loud while hitting his knee as Tengai merely gave him a judgmental look.
"If I had know this was going to turn out this way I would've accept this fucking earlier!" The man exclaimed while saying to his commurate besides him to go fish...
Poor Tengai didn't have blue cards. But he at least got a reverse blue one, so he had made Rappa instead but more cards.
"Angel how about a deal?" Kai muttered to you lowly as he indicated to your own deck.
You immediately catching what he meant, brought the cards close to your chest and poked your tongue out in mockness.
"... little traitor."
"Oi! Aim to Nemoto everyone." Mimic pointed at the man "He only has two fucking cards."
Nemoto merely lifted an eyebrow at Mimic before turning to you and asking normally.
" Miss (Y/n), what exactly you have in your own deck if you don't mind me asking?"
Before you could even open your mouth a gloved hand blocked your words as Chisaki glared at the man.
"No use of quirks on my angel Nemoto." He growlef threateningly.
"S-sorry master!"
You sighed in relief and looked at your three remaining cards with glee. That was why Nemoto was aiming at you, you and him were close to finish this.
"I want something in return for my kindness." Your boyfriend muttered into your ear while picking a card from the 'shop'.
Holy shit, a plus four. Now he was happy.
"Throw that plus four of yours and I might." You had accidentally saw his card since you were laying your head on his shoulder
He gave you a look like you just had emerged three heads. If he used this card you were going to be the one prejudiced. What are you? A idiot?
"Trust me."
"Hey! No contribution between the couple!" Kurono protested, ignoring Kai's glare.
"Yeah just because Overjerk gets a quick fuck after this it doesn't mean th-" in a blink of a eye Chisaki had lifted himself and overhauled Rappa without any second doubts.
"KAI!" You protested even despite feeling your cheeks buurning in embarrassment.
"He deserved it." He growled a response before putting back the man and abruptly taking his seat close to you again.
Tengai merely looked at Rappa in dissapointment before handing him his deck.
"... you're going to lose Rappa." Tengai said receivinga bunch of yelling from the man besides him.
Kai sighed in annoyance before throwing the damn plus four, getting surprised at seing you threw another one right back.
"Buy eight Nemoto." You said smugly at seing the man's surprised face while the others, except Chisaki, screamed in joy.
Kai half smiled down at you with proud before under the table he gently picked your hand to carress his covered thimb in the flesh of your skin.
You blushed bit smiled anyways at him, shortly after getting back your concentration.
Now you had two cards... and you were the one being chased now.
"Everyone, now is to fuck up with (Y/N)'s cards. Is this or failure." Mimic said while he scrubbed his hair and looked down at his cards in deep thought.
"... try me."
"WhAT waS ThAT yOUr LiTTLe PuNK?!"
"Silence. This is only a card game for God's sake." He said monoustly but clearly irritated at the way Mimic had just shouted at you.
He was going to have a little chat with him later.
"He is not wrong though. Is this or they win." Chrono pointed while glaring at you.
Suck it Kurono, can't win forever.
Chisaki relaxed at seing that now the color was red and that he could get rid of this mass of cards...
He almost shouted at Chrono who had placed a skip card... making him lose his turn.
"Do you even enjoy living for doing this Chronostasis?" He darkly comented and before sending a death glare at your giggling figurine.
He smirked at seing your face fall... you didn't have any cards...
The game lasted for a about one hour but unfortunately the tables had turned from upside down.
Evryone was tense while Chisaki stared smugly yet monotonously at his only two left cards.
"Does anyone have any ideas? I can't believe the boss is going to win!" Rappa said in desperation as he looked through his cards in panic.
"As expected from master." Sighed quite sadly Nemoto while he placed a plus four card "Buy four miss (Y/n)."
"Actually... no." You placed one more plus card and looked at your boyfriend smirking devilish. "Buy eight Kai!"
"Bold of you to assume that I would do such a thing." He slowly placed one of his cards down. Leaving everyone with mouth agape.
"Buy twelve Chrono. Also, Uno." He said monotonously.
"FUCK! COME ON!" Hari threw his cards at the table in both irritation and disbelief while Mimic just errupted in laughter.
You giggled at everyone's faces... even despite being such serious mans whose always dealed with much more extressul problems they still had fun at least.
You smiled warmingly at your boyfriend, noticing the hints of a smile growing on his covered lips.
"Can I reward you my winner?" You whispered into his ear, giggling at seing the way he shivered.
"Wait just a bit. I need to savour their suffering."
"Kai!" You exclaimed in both amusent and horror before you got pushed to him again... his firm grip around your waist.
"I want revenge."
"Round two then? Anyone up for it?"
"Hell yeah!"
"Don't yell, its almost night." He got up and walked for a bit before stopping and looking at you expectantly "Come."
"But-!" You whined. Now you wanted to play more!
"Now. Its a order." He growled before you sigjes and wished everyone goodnight, following your boyfriend out of the room.
"... I told you he was going to get a quick fu-"
And the man was overhauled again... seriously Rappa learn your lesson, is for your own good.

V3 girls look after their deceased S/O’s dog after they die in the killing game
Background:
· For as long as you could remember you family always had a variety of furry, feathered, and scaled companions, but by far your absolute favorite were dogs. You and dogs just had this unspoken understanding you never had with anyone else. Soon you began training your furry companions so everyone would love them just as much as you did, even if it was for different reasons. That was how you became the Super High School Level Dog Trainer.
· Then suddenly you were thrust into some crazy killing game! Truth be told you likely would have panicked if it wasn’t for Nala, your absolute best friend, your dog. In this insanity she was one of the few things that kept you sane. She was always right by your side no matter what. There was also one other thing that calmed you in this craziness. Your kinda sort of girlfriend. Nothing was official, but you both mutually had developed a crush on the other and you promised to escape this place together and become official then… but it wasn’t a promise you were going to keep. You became a victim of someone’s desperate plea to escape such a horrid place.
· Your killer was caught at least… but nothing like that could come close to bringing solace to your precious pup. You were killed in your room, and so, there your best friend sat. Nala simply sat before the door, pawing at it occasionally. Soon she took to just laying there, waiting for you to come out and play fetch with her, as you always did.
Kaede Akamatsu:
· The first thing Kaede did after the trial was look for Nala… it wasn’t a difficult search.
· “Nala, I know it’s awful, but S/O wouldn’t want you to just lay here. They’d want you to keep going and help us all escape this place!” “Akamatsu, what are you doing?” “Giving Nala a pep talk of course! What else would I be doing Saihara?” “I… I don’t think she can understand you though.” “No, I know she does! S/O told me that dogs and many other animals can understand us, but not through our words, but our tone of voice! So, Nala, you need to keep going. At least eat some food, please?”
· The next few days were like that, Kaeda sitting by the pooch’s side, talking to her. Kaede also remembered how you told her that animals could understand people through action. Kaede began to take Nala on walks and got her to exercise some. Slowly but surely in the smallest of increments Nala got just the slightest bit more energetic. But when ever she was left to her own devices, she always sat before that door, still waiting.
Kirumi Tojo:
· As a maid it was Kirumi’s duty to tend to her charges’ almost every need and desire. And to her that included the dead on occasion. So, Kirumi took it upon herself to care for your pup in your absence.
· Nala had a loss of appetite? No problem, Kirumi simply snuck some treats into Nala’s food bowl, enticing her to eat. Nala won’t exercise? No problem, every morning Kirumi placed a leash on Nala’s collar and took her everywhere she went all day.
· Kirumi even dedicated time in her day to specifically play with Nala and pet her.
· Using her own skills and the little you had taught her, Kirumi took care of Nala, making sure your likely last hypothetical wish was granted. For your best friend to live a happy life even past this.
Himiko Yumeno:
· For several days after the trial Himiko simply sat beside Nala, occasionally petting her.
· “Nala… I know what it’s like to lose your master… it’s awful. But fear not, for I have a plan. You shall become my familiar… I know I can’t replace S/O but… I-I might need you.” Hugging Nala close Himiko softly wept into her coat.
· Under normal circumstances Himiko would have found caring for Nala to be a pain, especially in the dog’s lethargic state, but with constant, loud encouragement from Tenko, Himiko managed to do alright. To be fully honest it was more like both Himiko and Tenko adopted Nala. Tenko took care of exercising Nala, while Himiko focused on grooming and feeding.
· At the end of the day both Himiko and Tenko grew to love Nala, and both swore to care for her in your absence.
Maki Harukawa:
· Maki knew how to take care of human children, not dogs. The best she knew how to do was place some dog food in a bowl and throw a ball.
· Thankfully for her, Kaito and Shuichi where there to help her figure things out… even though neither of them knew more about dog care than her.
· Shuichi went straight to researching, finding some dog care books from the library. Kaito would make sure Nala had more affection than a dog could know what to do with. Maki at least knew how to train, so with Nala on a leash, Maki went on runs around the campus till the pup was tired out.
· Nala ended up being the honorary fourth member of their trio, now quartet.
Tenko Chabashira:
· After the trial Tenko sat beside Nala, bawling her eyes out, hugging the dog close. And that she did every day.
· After crying to the point she had no tears left, she had Kirumi make something for her to eat, while Tenko herself got dog food for Nala.
· When they were done eating, it was time for training! Tenko brought Nala to practice Neo Akkido with her! Even if she was a dog, Tenko was determined to teach her! This often involved just play wrestling or running around for hours on end.
· Tenko took it upon herself to care for Nala with you gone. Nala was a sweet girl who didn’t deserve to have her best friend taken away from her, and so brutally at that. After a week or so Tenko would take Nala everywhere she went and would tell anyone who passed them that she adopted Nala and that if anyone messed with Nala they’d be in for a world of pain.
Tsumugi Shirogane:
· Oh, you died. That’s sad, Tsumugi actually liked you, but that’s to be expected in a killing game. After the trial Tsumugi found Nala sitting before your door. After giving the pup a pat on the head she left for her own room.
· She didn’t think much of Nala till by the third morning after the trial. It was then she realized Nala had not moved once since the initial investigation.
· Tsumugi didn’t know much about dog care… at least until she made a cosplay of Inukashi from No. 6. Then she was just as much as an expert as you! And, no, it was definitely not because you taught her a lot about dog training and care in your time together… Okay, maybe that helped a little.
· Tsumugi dedicated a lot of time to Nala, making sure she had everything she needed and more.
Angie Yonaga:
· The moment after the trial had concluded Atua struck with divine words. Compelled by those words, she raced to find Nala. When she found the pup, she immediately hugged Nala. “You are going to be my new assistant, Nala! And Atua’s newest follower!”
· Angie brough Nala with her wherever she went, even having the pup sleep in her room. She draped a blanket over Nala before going to sleep. She always had Nala eat with her in the dinning room. Nala even became the subject of some of Atua’s art pieces. She even softly spoke to Nala when she eventually got back to sitting before your door. “Your Master is with Atua now, so they are alright. And you are under Atua’s divine protection now. You must keep going without worry, because you have nothing to worry about. So live life to the fullest while you can before reuniting with S/O, okay? I’m sure they’ll love to hear all the stories you’ll have to tell them of your time here! Now, let’s go get dinner! We need energy for those adventures after all.”
Miu Iruma:
· Well, fuck, what was she going to do. Miu knew she couldn’t just leave Nala on her own, but Miu only knew the commands to get Nala to do tricks. Nothing about dog care.
· After some light research in the library Miu got the basics down. In doing so, she recalled something you told her once. Miu couldn’t remember exactly, but once you told her about some breeds of dogs being considered ‘work’ breeds. She couldn’t remember if you said if Nala was a ‘work’ breed or not, but just in case she decided to put the pup to work. It’d be a distraction. Using the commands she knew, Miu would have Nala bring her tools when she was at work, or have Nala fetch various other items.
· Nala became an invaluable assistant… When she was around. If she wasn’t given a task for too long, she’d go back to sitting before your door. Miu wouldn’t notice till a command of her’s wasn’t answered. When this happened Miu would take Nala for a walk for a while… Just like the walks she would go on with you… It was nice.

The Hanger
I wrote this a long while ago as the first chapter of a VR AU Oumota fic. I wrote 5 and a half chapters before I drifted away for reasons I can't remember. But I looked over it again recently purely on a whim and I actually really like most of what I had so I'm considering going back and finishing it. I can't promise anything though so we'll see. But since I like what I wrote and because this first chapter can easily stand on its own as a sad one shot, I decided to go ahead and upload it.
~
The hydraulic press hummed loudly as it lowered. It took all of Kaito’s self-control to lie still and keep his eyes closed. What if Kokichi passed out from the poison and couldn’t stop it in time? What if the emergency stop button didn’t work?
But just when it seemed he could feel it above him, weighing down on him without even touching him, it stopped. Heavy silence filled the air as he let out a long breath.
“’Kay, you can… move now.” Kokichi voice was strained, possibly even more than it had been before Kaito had gotten under the press.
Kaito slid out from underneath the press, careful not to move the jacket beneath him too much lest the little bit of it visible in the video jumped places and gave away their trick. He didn’t dare open his eyes until he was all the way out and straightening.
Kokichi was just stepping down from the control platform. He was pale and sweating, his face drawn with anguish.
“You okay?” Kaito asked and immediately wanted to kick himself. He’d asked a lot of dumb questions in his day but that had to be dumbest.
“Oh, I’m doing just fine, thank you,” Kokichi replied with a good facsimile of a smile that would’ve fooled Kaito under different circumstances. How many of his prior smiles had been false too? Considering what he’d said upon Kaito questioning the reason for his plan about how it’d had all been act, he actually hated the killing the game, it was very possible that almost every smile of his had been false.
“Sorry.” No amount of ‘sorry’ would ever make any of this okay. Kokichi was dying, if Kaito didn’t kill him with the press, the poison would. He’d had the antidote but he’d given it to Kaito, dooming himself. Would Kaito have been able to do the same in his position? Sacrifice himself to save someone who’d considered him an enemy even for a plan like this. He… didn’t know. One thing he did know for sure though was… “I’m sorry for how all this turned out and… for how awful I treated you.”
“Don’t be, I set myself up as your enemy on purpose. You and all the others were supposed to hate me otherwise none of this would’ve worked.” And at the end of this plan of his, he was going to die a gruesome death. The others would all hate him even more for it too. Could anything be more tragic?
“I don’t hate you, I never did.” Kaito didn’t have it in him to hate someone. He’d just… let the stress of everything get to him. That was no excuse, he was supposed to encourage everybody and get them all to work as a team but it was all so much. So… he’d played favourites and only helped a small number of people. He didn’t regret how much time he’d spent with them but… he should’ve done more for the others, Kokichi included even if he did often go out of his way to be antagonistic. It was too late now though, Kokichi was dying and Kaito didn’t have much longer left himself; the taste of blood in his mouth now seemed permanent.
One last thing he did have time for though was… “I’d like to consider you a friend if that’s okay?” He held out a hand.
Kokichi stared at it before looking up to meet his eyes. “Getting all sappy because I’m dying, huh? But all right, sure, we can be friends. No reason not to, I’m choosing to trust you with my plan after all.” His hand was hot and sweaty in Kaito’s as they shook, sealing the deal. And it might’ve just been Kaito’s imagination it also seemed to be shaking a little. Pain, fear, or both? It was hard to guess.
“Now,” Kokichi said as they let go, “can… can I have one last request?”
“Uh… sure.” There wasn’t much Kaito could do for him but as long as it was within his ability to do, he’d gladly do it.
“Regardless of how our plan turns out, whether it fails or succeeds, once you step out of the Exisal and reveal it to them could you… remind everyone that I’m a liar?”
“Why?”
“Because I… want them to remember me as a liar and a sneak, not some poor little misunderstood sad boy to be pitied because I died a tragic death trying to save everyone.” He scowled at the thought as if being pitied was far worse than being hated. … Which well, made sense. Kaito wasn’t sure if he shared that sentiment but he understood it so…
“Sure, I’ll make sure to remind everyone you’re a liar.” In his heart he’d known the truth though and would never forget it.
“Thanks,” Kokichi whispered as he turned back towards the press. He got under it silently and carefully.
With a grimace, Kaito turned towards the control platform. He only got a single step before a soft sob behind him froze him in his tracks. He turned back towards the press and knelt down bedside it so he could see Kokichi better. His brave mask had finally broken as he stared down his impending death inches above him. Tears leaked from his eyes as he shook.
Kaito took his hand, gently squeezing it. What words could he possibly offer in comfort? They were high school students for fuck’s sake, death was not something people as young as them should be facing, especially death like this. It was wrong and unjust on so many levels and there was nothing Kaito could do about it.
“I… don’t want to die,” Kokichi choked out in a whisper, squeezing Kaito’s hand.
“I know.” Kaito didn’t want to die either. At least he still had some time left… not much though. “You’re not alone though, I’m here.” It was the only comfort he could offer.
There was long moment of silence, broken only by another soft sob, before Kokichi answered with a whisper. “T-thank you.”
“You… you want to… let the poison do it.” It wouldn’t make a difference if he was… crushed after he died, right? No one would be able to tell the difference. And that way Kaito could stay by his side until the very end.
Kokichi let out another soft sob. “Can’t… risk it. We’ve already taken so much time… discussing everything and setting it all up. We don’t know how… long before the electro-bomb wears off.”
“You sure?”
“Yes and… i-it’ll be over faster.” That… didn’t sound like it truly appealed to him. On the brink of death even his ability to lie was crumbling. “Just… promise you won’t let my death be for nothing, please.”
“I promise.”
They were silent for a few minutes while Kokichi steeled himself again. Or tried to, he wasn’t doing a great job at it and who could blame him for that? He as slowly dying of poison, about to get crushed to death, Kaito wouldn’t have been able to pretend to be okay with that for even a few seconds let alone how long Kokichi had been keeping up the act for.
But he eventually let go of Kaito’s hand. “Do it. Don’t hesitate. And don’t forget the camera.” His voice was firmer than it had any right to be even if the look on his face and tears leaking from his eyes betrayed it.
“All right uh…” Kaito straightened. “Good bye.” People in movies and books always seemed to regret not having wished their friends or family farewell before they died so he’d at least have that, right? Not that he’d have long to be haunted by this – a small mercy that came with his own impending death via terminal illness – but he had to say something.
“Good bye,” Kokichi replied, his voice nearly inaudible, a few seconds later as Kaito headed up the control platform. He almost turned back towards him but… there was nothing more that could be said or done. It was best to just get it over with, end his suffering and pack everything up before the electro-bomb’s effects wore off.
At the top of the control platform, Kaito felt almost sick as he looked at the controls and camera. Was he really about to press a single button and… end Kokichi’s life? That just wasn’t right. Things weren’t supposed to work like that. How could he possibly…
“Don’t hesitate,” he whispered to himself as he put one hand on the record button on the camera, the other over the button that would send the press down. With a deep breath, he pressed them both at the same time.
The press’ hum resumed, much quieter from up here but still filling the heavy silence and thankfully drowning out any further sounds of sobbing Kokichi might’ve made. Kaito didn’t want to watch but… at the same time he couldn’t look away. He couldn’t see Kokichi from this angle, the press was too low, but… this was the closest thing he could get to being there for him in his final moments, right?
So, he watched the press, already so low, lower further. It settled home with a sound somewhere between a wet pop and a crunch followed a half second later by the clang of metal meeting metal. Blood sprayed out from under it like a large water balloon filled with red paint had burst. And just like that, Kokichi Ouma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader, was no more. All that was left of him was smooshed flat as pancake under the press and the splash of blood that had escaped it.
Hands and face numb, Kaito stopped the recording and packed up the camera and its tripod. Then he set about, preparing the rest of the crime scene; cutting the cord to the control platform and double check to make sure nothing remained that’d give hint to what they’d done.
The tears didn’t hit until he was hidden safely away in the Exisal. He hunched in on himself as he let out a shaky sob that turned into a painful cough. He wanted to curl up in a ball but the pilot seat didn’t allow for it. So he sat there and cried into the spare jacket Kokichi brought for him way earlier that day – felt like a lifetime ago – that he’d grabbed before entering the Exisal without even thinking about it.
Eventually his tears petered out, leaving him feeling empty and hollow. He’d have to get his act together for the trial tomorrow but that was hours away. And he was alone so he could allow himself to feel miserable for not just having killed Kokichi but everything that had happened since the start of this killing game. All the suffering and heartache they’d all been through for… what purpose? … None, right? There was no good reason for any of this… and yet so many of them had died for it… and Kaito had killed someone because of it. No more though, this was the end. It had to be.

Ship meme for Kaimaki
Not that I’m participating this time around, but I’m actually putting this through during Momoharu week. Pretty good timing all things considered.
Who confessed first?
Kokichi lets slip to Kaito that Maki has a crush on him, and with no other apparent options, Maki confesses straightforwardly.
Who initiated the first kiss?
Hard to say, but I think Maki.
Who asks the other out on dates?
Kaito knows some pretty good date spots. Maki isn’t an experienced dater for obvious reasons.
Who is the bigger cuddler?
Kaito. Maki gets a weird feeling whenever they snuggle.
Who initiates holding hands more often?
Maki actually. She makes the excuse to do it in crowds so she “doesn’t lose him”
Who remembers anniversaries?
Kaito forgets them and he hates himself for it. To be honest, Maki also forgets them sometimes, since she’s spent most of her life without being able to look forward to these dates.
Who is more possessive?
Kaito is possessive on the level that he’ll never do training without Maki, but he won’t do it without Shuichi either. However, even outside that, he likes spending as much time as possible with her.
Who gets more jealous?
Maki is jealous of how carefree Kaito can be even in trying times.
Who is the most protective?
Maki. Just...Maki is.
Who initiates sexy time the most?
Also Maki, surprisingly enough.
Who dislikes PDA (Public Display of Affection)?
Maki.
Who kills the spider?
Maki usually does. Kaito isn’t afraid to though when he has to. He may be afraid of ghosts, but he’s not afraid of spiders for the most part.
Who asks the other to marry them?
I can’t say for sure, but I’d say Kaito. He’d be with Maki long enough to where he’d make the decision to propose for her. I don’t know whether it would go smoothly or clumsily, but she’d accept.
Who buys the other gifts?
Kaito.
Who would first bring up the idea of having kids?
I actually have an idea about this. I think the one who would first propose the idea is Kaito, but Maki would be very much against it, not liking children that much, in spite of helping out the orphanage where she was raised for so many years, but Kaito would assure her that whatever skills she learnt there would be very helpful in raising a kid. Overtime though, I think Maki would realise the importance of family, and Kaito’s words would begin to mean something to her, and she’d eventually go to him to say she changed her mind.
Who is more nervous to meet the others parents?
I say this in the most respectful way possible, but neither of them really have parents. Kaito was raised by his grandparents, and Maki was raised in an orphanage. Since she’s not exactly a people person, Maki would probably be a little bit nervous to meet Kaito’s grandparents, but she strikes me as a pretty nice person under all that angst.
Who sleeps on the sofa/couch when the other is angry?
Usually, Maki gets angry at Kaito. She never forces him to sleep on the couch, but he does it anyway.
Who tries to make up first after arguments?
Kaito actually has a system for this. He rarely ever gets mad at Maki for more than a few minutes, but if Maki gets furious at him for something he said or did, he keeps his distance. Once Maki’s calmed down enough to go near him again, he apologises. He basically just gives her her personal space.
Who tells the other they love them more often?
Kaito. Maki usually says “I hate how much I love you” if that accounts to anything.
Who accidentally pushes a door instead of pulling it or vice versa?
Kaito.
Who doodles little hearts over the desk with their initials inside?
Kaito. He usually scribbles them out before he leaves, but if he forgets and leaves them and someone sees, Maki gets embarrassed and upset. However, if no one else is around, she draws her own version before erasing both of them.
Who starts the tickle fights?
Similarly to Naegiri, Kaito starts them, but Maki usually ends them. I’d love to see ticklish Maki though, I don’t know about you.
Who starts the pillow fights?
Kaito thinks Maki can throw a pillow with enough force to kill someone, so the two of them don’t usually do pillow fights unless more people are involved other than the two of them. Usually, when pillow fights start, if they’re not on the same side, Gonta lets Kaito hide behind him, because he can take the pillow force.
Who is the last to fall asleep while watching the other with a warm smile?
Maki.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning?
Kaito.
Who mistakes salt for sugar?
Kaito. Maki is good at cooking.
Who let’s the microwave play the loud beeping sound at 1am in the morning?
Maki. It annoys Kaito.
Who comes up with the cheesy pickup lines?
Both of them. Kaito more often.
Who rearranges the books in Alphabetical Order?
Kaito’s books are in a weird order unbeknown to humanity. Maki reorganises them, and does it without telling him out of spite.
Who licks the spoon when baking?
Kaito. Maki always rolls her eyes when he gets stuff stuck in his goatee
Who buys candles for dinner, even when there’s no special occasion?
Maki.
Who draws little tattoos on one another with a pen?
In a weird, cute way, Maki. She doesn’t know why she does it on instinct, but Kaito usually lets her.
Who comes home with a souvenir/fridge magnet whenever they go on holiday?
Kaito.
Who convinces the other to fill out those couple surveys that you usually find on the back of magazines?
Also Kaito.
Who has the other as their phone background?
Maki, and ever since, she rarely ever opens her phone in front of other people.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror?
Kaito.
Who asks if they can join the other in the shower?
This one’s a hard one. I see Maki saying no if Kaito asks if he can join her, but I see Kaito saying yes if Maki asks if she can join him.
Who loudly proclaims their love while drunk?
Maki only drinks on special occasions, and she’s not a loud drunk as much as she is a woozy drunk. Kaito loudly proclaims all sorts of things when he’s drunk.

About that New Project (UPDATED)
EDIT: I updated and I added MORE CHARACTERS (something felt imbalanced still and I couldn’t stop lol) and I actually did general descriptions for all of them... They’re not extensive and may change, however.
———
The thing I was talking about in my Soune Taya post...
The Mega Project?
Well... it was going to be a visual novel concept.
But since I have no skill in making a VN, I’m just going to write a story. Like the anime that will be based off the VN. Like Clannad’s anime or something.
It’s going to be long since I have (ahem) FOURTY-SIX (46) WHOLE CHARACTERS WITH ROUTES THAT I’M GOING TO INCORPORATE.
This is why I said I will never ever finish it, even if I devote my entire life to it.
But it won’t feel right without all these characters. I WANT to have all these characters. I’m a “go big or go home” person. I’m too ambitious and I know that.
So.
Here are the characters.
Haku, Neru, Miku, Luka, Teto, Gumi, Meiko, Lapis, Merli, Lily, IA, Yukari, Uta, Zatsune, Rin, Len, Kaito, Akaito, Dell, Gakupo, Yuuma, Piko, Mizuki, Nigaito, Dex, Daina, Ruby, Taya, Longya, Ling, Momo, SeeU, Ruko, Ritsu, Miki, Aku, Bruno, Clara, Iroha, Yuu, Wil, Kyo, Akari, Qingxian, Anon, Kanon In the story adaption, Uta Utane (Defoko) will take the role as the player/main character, and learns everyone’s backstories. She will be the one with the (gigantic) “harem” around her. Think, Tomoya from Clannad. But IF there’s ever an actual game, I’ll plan on Uta being one of the date-able characters. She’ll be your childhood friend.
The characters are all college students here. They are all college-age, roughly between 18-26, depending on which character. I may give them specific ages eventually.
Here are descriptions I thought of already. For some of these Loids, this is my first time EVER writing or portraying them. Ever.
(Full names are listed in Western order. This is partly due to the story taking place in the USA, in a “Japantown” sort of place to explain the prominent Japanese population.)
——————————————————
Haku Yowane- A shy, gloomy girl who is looking to join in the school’s choir... However, the choir doesn’t have enough members. And it’s not like Haku is a good enough singer to singlehandedly bring it back to life... or confident to work up the courage to even audition. Haku seems to depend on Neru, her only friend, to comfort her when she gets down. Haku is the cousin of the popular Miku Hatsune, the most popular girl in the school and star singer in the choir. Neru Akita- A tomboy with a hot temper. But inside, she hides delicate feelings. She seems to always be with Haku, cheering her up when she gets down. The two seem to only have each other. Miku Hatsune- A very popular girl and star singer in the choir. A bubbly, cheerful sweetheart. Has lots of friends and is always smiling. Idealistic and doesn’t believe in impossible. Miku dreams big, but apparently she gets very depressed when her dreams are crushed. Luckily that never seems to happen... for now. Luka Megurine- A polite and elegant woman. She can appear aloof and intimidating at first, but is actually just shy. She is half Japanese, a quarter French, and a quarter German. Teto Kasane- A bubbly girl who can be childish. Is playful, weird, and a bit demanding. Very clumsy. Gumi- A girl who can be a bit shy, but once you get past that, Gumi is unique, free-spirited, and chill. She likes art and reading books. She keeps a sketchbook with her at all times. Meiko Sakine- The confident, mature woman of the group. Energetic and loves to party. Still responsible. Like a mother or older sister. Has quite a temper, though she mostly uses it to defend others... Lapis Aoki- Merli’s stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. Bubbly and playful, and quite childish. Quite friendly. However, she can be a bit selfish at times. Lapis is Japanese, though her adoptive sister Merli is Indian. Merli Aoki- Lapis’ stepsister, who seems to be the opposite of her. She can seem cold and distant, even a bit harsh at first. But inside, she is very thoughtful and willing to help those important to her. Merli is Indian, though she was adopted into Lapis’ Japanese family after the death of her parents. Lily- The school’s toughest female delinquent. IA- An idolized girl in the school for her good looks and singing skills. However, she hides dark feelings? Yukari Yuzuki- Half sister to Akari Kizuna. Looks up to IA but also feels she will never be as good as her. Uta Utane- A rather plain, bluntly-spoken person who doesn’t see much in life. Usually bored, silent, and rather deadpan. Once a bright girl with lots of dreams. Deep inside, she is passionate and caring, really... Can it be restored? She is non-binary, going mostly by she/her. Miku Zatsune- Edgy and hates Miku. She would rather be called Zatsune, because her first name happens to be Miku, like the person she despises so much... But could there be something deeper to her? Rin Kagamine- Rin is a bit chaotic. She is bold, brash, athletic, and charming. She is also just plain nuts. Len Kagamine- Len fries to be cool and hip, but he is just a big dork. He is quite the comedian however, sometimes unintentionally. Kaito Shion- Kaito is a silly boy. He loves ice cream, unicorns, rainbows, and anything fluffy. But he also has moments of seriousness where he says really deep, philosophical things. He is quite romantic. Akaito Shion- Akaito is a sarcastic and grumpy boy, but when it comes to romance, he gets quite passionate. He sometimes flirts around with girls, but when he finally finds a true love with a girl (or guy) who truly changes his life... well... it’s a bit different. Dell Honne- Dell is usually in a bad mood. He currently lives with a father who barely acknowledges him. He tends to keep it all inside, and he’s really just lonely and needs to find someone to vent to. He enjoys computer programming and composing electronic music. He is Haku’s half-brother, but they didn’t grow up together. Gakupo Kamui- Gakupo likes doing kendo and martial arts, and is generally athletic. He is a nice guy who also loves animals and history. Fall Ball (Kokichi x Reader)
“Hello~ I was wondering if I could request a School AU type were; Y/N and Kokichi are very good friends. And their school is hosting a dance. Kokichi really likes Y/N and wants to take them, but he could never admit it. So Kokichi asks for help from his other friends on how to ask his crush out and jajskakajs. I can just imagine it being so funny and cute. I know you will do great and I hope this is a good request. (Im always soft for the supreme leader)”
This is such a cute request! I am honestly not in tune with Kokichi’s personality, so I’m sorry if it’s a bit OOC! ^-^ Story under the tag~
Kokichi was a bizarre character, to say the least. He pranked, insulted, and drove everyone he knew to the brink of insanity/annoyance
Why people still hung out with him? Everyone who really knew him knows deep down he’d never really hurt them, even if he said things that took it too far sometimes. If he did, he’s always try to make up for it in his own kiddish way
His friends needed to be people who wouldn’t burst from annoyance easily, and that’s where you came in. You indulged him, letting him pull pranks and annoy you while making sure he didn’t take it too far and possibly kill someone (you swear, Korekiyo would’ve caught fire that one time).
He would never admit it, but he was grateful. After all, the funnest pranks take two minds!
Your latest scheme had been the classic water bucket prank on Shuichi. he was located on the side of Hopes Peak Academy, conveniently placed right under a window two stories up. He was with Kaede, both of them laughing and chatting like the old friends they were
“So, uh...Kaede? The fall formal is coming up, and I, well I was wondering if you’d like to go with m-”
His heartfelt speech was abruptly cut off, the sound of splashing water was all that was heard as he was soaked head to toe from above
Both he and Kaede looked up to see two snickering children leaning from a window, one of them holding a bucket
Y/n leaned back into the classroom they were hiding in, setting the bucket down on the floor next to her
“Aw, Kokichi, I love that prank! I can’t believe we’ve done it to Shuichi eight times this week!”
“Yep, and tonight we will make it nine!”
“I do feel kinda bad, though. I know how badly Shuichi wants to take Kaede to the dance next week. Like she’s gonna say no though, right?”
This was the exact topic Kokichi had been trying to avoid yet bring up at the same time. Everyone knows Kokichi has feelings, but he doesn’t allow himself to feel the ones that make him feel bad. He doesn’t like to feel guilt, stress, or negative emotions in general.
“Kokichi? You alive?” A hand was waving in front of his face, he must have zoned out
“Of course! I’m just thinking of something we could do to Kaito when he asks Maki to the dance.” He fiddled with one of the latches on his shirt. “Are you going to the dance Y/n? It’s gonna be mega lame, but Himiko is performing so everyone is trying to go.”
Y/n let out a laugh, punching him in the shoulder. “I’d only go if someone asked me, but I doubt that’ll happen. The only action I’d be getting is from the snack bar”
Kokichi listened as she laughed. He hated to admit it, but he was feeling things that for once he couldn’t repress. He liked Y/n, not just as a best friend, and it was driving him insane! Call it cliche but he really wanted to ask her out to the dance, show her off and have a great time, just the two of them
Kokichi resisted the urge to slam his head into the wall when Y/n grabbed his hand. “Let’s go, Shuichi is bound to be running up here now to kill us!”
After sprinting through the school and evading Shuichi (and getting split up) Kokichi decided to head home, shooting Y/n a quick text to tell her where he was going.
Where he really went, however, was his DICE headquarters, walking in to see all of his members lounging around or playing cards
“Kokichi! Why are you here? Are we setting plan ACES into movement?”
“No, that’s not till next Tuesday. I actually need...advice”
Everyone seemed more interested at this statement. He never needed help!”
“What do you need?”
Kokichi walked over and sat on the card table, a few played cards fluttering to the floor
“Well, today we- Y/n and I- pulled that prank on Shuichi again, right? And then we started talking about the dance next week, and it made me think of going with Y/n, and-”
He felt a hand over his mouth, and cringed at the sudden squealing in the air
“Omigod you wanna go with Y/n! That’s amazing! When are you gonna ask her?!”
Kokichi shoved the hand off of his mouth. “I’m not asking her! I don’t want to ruin the friendship we have.” “Well,” one of his members walked around him, putting their hands on his shoulders “Something tells me she likes you too~” “W-what?!”
Kokichi stood up and paced around for a moment, asking his friends how they knew
“You two already act like a really childish married couple! It’s obvious whatever you feel for her is returned in full.”
Kokichi thought about this for a second, before responding, “Okay, how do I ask her? Nothing sappy or anything!”
His friends grinned, already laying out blueprints for their plan
Kokichi came to school the next day and began ignoring Y/n, as it was part of their plan
“Okay, so first ignore her, then set the glitter bombs to explode at four, and when the teachers are distracted, find Y/n and have Himiko do the magic trick and finally ask her to the dance! Perfect!”
It was not perfect.
It was incredibly hard to hide from Y/n, as she was looking for him all day. On top of that, one of the glitter bombs (which had been safely kept with Kaito) exploded in said student’s backpack, covering everyone in the room with glitter. One of those people was Himiko, who had to go home to wash it off, and in return, Tenko attacked Kaito for ‘hurting’ her.
Kokichi had caused the chaos he originally planned, but not the way he wanted. Students and teachers alike were running around the hall, teachers trying to get kids to the nurses office for glitters in their eyes and students taking this opportunity to leave boring classes
The purple haired kid stood in the corner of some lockers and a classroom, staring at his phone. He had tried to video call Kaito, only receiving a view of Kaito screaming and sprinting, the crazed yells of Tenko behind him, before it finally disconnected. He texted Kaito as well, but none of his messages were being read.
Sighing, Kokichi slipped his phone into one of the many pockets in his jacket before turning around, watching all of the kids and students crowd the halls. Someone rammed into his shoulder, causing him to hit the wall
“Hey, watch it!” Kokichi turned around to glare down the careless student, only to be shoved into the wall again
“Why have you been ignoring me all day? I know you see me!”
The girl in front of him was not a careless kid, but his best friend, Y/n.
“Oh, Y/n! Come here often?” Kokichi put on his best suave smile and leaned against the wall
Y/n punched him in the shoulder. “I don’t appreciate your jokes right now, Shuichi. I want to know whats going on! Why have you been ignoring me? Why are bombs going off? Why is Tenko about to get a murder charge?!” “Why not?” She let out a huff and at Kokichi, folding her arms
“Kokichi, I want to know what’s going on. Now. This is insane, even for you!”
Kokichi looked down at the girl, a million thoughts running through his head. Before he could clear his thoughts, he heard his own voice ring out
“It was for you.”
Y/n looked taken back, as her expression shifted from anger and annoyance to surprise. “What? You better explain yourself.”
“It was for you,” Kokichi let everything out, watching the girl’s every shift in expression. “I wanted to ask you to the dance, but you know I don’t do those things! I asked for help, even though I never ask for help, so you should feel honored! Of course I asked the most incompetent people, against my better judgement, so everything went wrong. The plan didn’t work, I didn’t get to ask you out, and now I’m...finally defeated. So rub it in my face, before I go and find Kaito myself.”
Kokichi looked down at the floor waiting for Y/n to smack him upside the head and call him an idiot. But when he felt no impact, and heard stifled laughter, he became confused. He looked up to see Y/n trying to hold in fits of giggles, grinning from ear to ear
After the girl finally composed herself she looked at the purple haired boy, tears brimming her smiling eyes. “Kokichi, you are such an idiot.” There it is.
He felt Y/n put her hand on his arm gently, and now it was his turn to be confused. “Dude, you didn’t have to do all of this. Everyone knows I like you, and to be honest I thought you knew too! I just knew that you didn’t...feel...like people usually do, so I tried to get over it.”
They stood in a sincere silence, well, as silent as you can be in a crowded and loud hallway.
But to them, it felt like their own little world, just the two of them and a now slightly awkward silence as they stared at each other
Kokichi was the first to break the silence, letting out an awkward cough and casting his gaze at the ground. “So, are you going to be a jerk and make it?”
Y/n let out a small laugh, smirking at him. “Oh, definitely.”
“Ugh, okay, here goes...Y/n, will you do me the dishonor of going to the fall ball with me?”
“I would love to, dork”

oumasai thing
the one where shuichi tickles kokichi in order to get him to admit he has a crush on him hhhhhhh
~~~~~~~~~~
The detective had noticed how Kokichi’s behavior changed whenever he was around. How he would always cling to his side and tease him, and how he insisted on being his partner and best friend instead of Kaito. The reason behind his actions was simple: Kokichi liked him. But getting him to admit it would be a whole other thing.
Kokichi had invited himself into Shuichi’s dorm yet again for some trivial reason, using this as an excuse to get closer to the other boy. Although Shuichi didn’t mind his company, he was getting tired of them dancing around each other and hiding their feelings. This was it; Shuichi was going to clear the air between them regarding how they about each other.
“Kokichi, is there a reason you keep making excuses to come see me?” Shuichi asked.
“Cuz I miss you, duh! Of course I want to see my beloved Shumai!” he beamed.
“I think it’s more than that...” Shuichi held his hand to his chin, as if in deep thought. He looked back up at Kokichi. “I think there’s something you’re not telling me.”
“Hmm~? Like what?”
“I think...” Shuichi gulped, his heart racing, “I think you like me.”
“Neheehee, maybe I do! Maybe I’ve been secretly in love with you all along Shuichi!” he snickered. “Orrrr maybe that was just a lie!” he bounced on his seat on Shuichi’s bed.
Shuichi sighed. This was going to be harder than he thought. He put down the book he had stopped paying attention to moments ago and brought himself closer to Kokichi.
“No, that wasn’t a lie. I think you do like me, Kokichi.” He could’ve sworn he saw the faintest blush on Kokichi’s cheeks. “And you’re gonna tell me the truth.” he said playfully.
“Oh? What’s the detective gonna do to me, huh?” Kokichi smirked.
Without warning, Shuichi pounced on the smaller boy, trapping him beneath his weight. His escape route cut off, Shuichi decided it would be the perfect time to get a truthful answer out of him.
“S-Shuichi? What are you doing?” Kokichi asked, genuinely surprised.
Now it was Shuichi’s turn to smirk. “Admit that you like me. Or else.” He wiggled his fingers at the other boy, whose eyes widened in surprise.
“W-Wait! Don’t!”
“Are you gonna tell me the truth then?” Shuichi smiled at him gently, displaying minor attempts to put Kokichi at ease. He didn’t want him to be too uncomfortable, after all.
Kokichi didn’t respond. His face went blank and he avoided eye contact.
“I guess I have no choice... You asked for it.”
Shuichi began wiggling his fingers at Kokichi’s sides. Kokichi let out a choking sound as he attempted to stifle his giggles. It wasn’t until Shuichi began wiggling his fingers a bit faster that a few giggles broke through.
“Wow, Kokichi...” Shuichi mused, “I didn’t think you would be this ticklish of all people.”
“Shuhut uhuhup!” he bit his lip and buried his face in his shoulder in an attempt to hide his smile.
“So are you gonna admit that you like me now?” Shuichi asked. Kokichi whined in response. “Have it your way, then...”
Shuichi snuck his hands underneath Kokichi’s shirt and lightly scratched at his bare skin with one hand while he clawed at his side with the other. Kokichi erupted into a loud fit of laughter, thrashing about underneath Shuichi.
“NAHAHA STOHOHOP!”
Shuichi forgot all about interrogating Kokichi and found himself lost in the other boy’s laughter. For someone who claimed to be a supreme leader of evil, his laugh sounded exceptionally cute. Shuichi blushed as these thoughts crossed his mind.
Shuichi decided to take things up a notch, scribbling his fingers furiously all over Kokichi’s torso and under his arms. Kokichi’s laughter reached an even higher octave as he helplessly squirmed underneath the detective.
“SHUIHIHICHI!”
“Yes?” Shuichi slowed down his ministrations so that Kokichi could talk.
“Eheehee stohohop...”
“You know how to make me stop.” Shuichi didn’t falter.
“Okay! Okay!” he said through his giggles, “I... like you...” he looked over his shoulder and avoided eye contact at all costs.
Shuichi felt his face blossom red. He didn’t expect Kokichi to actually confess to him so genuinely.
“I already know you like me back” Kokichi smirked once more, “Your face says it all, nishishi!” Shuichi felt himself blush even more. He leaned in and kissed Kokichi on the lips, losing himself in the feeling of the other boy. Now that they had both confessed their love for one another, things sure would be getting much more lively around the academy.
