Hmm, this idea popped into my head recently so how about; Kaito s/o somehow transforming into a horrific tooth and fang monster for any reason you choose and Kaito has so snap them out of their monster mindset and convince them they’re going to be okay and even if they look like this, they’re not a monster.

If it's okay could I request how the dr3 boys would react to their s/o being accidentally shrunk during one of Miu's experiments or something? I thought it would be a good opportunity for lots of fluff and protectiveness hehE

this was actually very fun to write, thank you for requesting anon!! also, i apologize if some of these scenarios sound repetitive, i wrote the ones i had instant ideas for first, and then sort of left myself stuck trying to think of something for the others that didn’t sound exactly like everything else i’d already written...

also, just for fun, i decided to write a little scenario for Miu, too! i hadn’t planned on it at first, but her involvement in this particular request made me want to write for her and i couldn’t help myself,,,, this is my first time writing an imagine-type thing for her so i can only hope i did her justice aha~

— VERY CONCERNED!!! VERY VERY CONCERNED!!!

— you’re so small!! what if you get lost?! what if someone steps on you?! what if you fall off something and die?! what if-

— you’ll have to calm him down before he gives himself an aneurysm lol

— somehow he’s more worried than you are. Miu says she’ll be able to get you back to normal in no time, so why shouldn’t you trust her? Shuichi could give you about a thousand reasons but that’s beside the point

— if it were up to him he would hold you and not let go unless he absolutely has to in order to make sure you don’t get hurt or stuck somewhere but obviously that’s unrealistic

— to an extent, it’s cute how worried he is about you, but it does get annoying from time to time

— i mean, you’re shrunk, not stupid. you know to stay away from edges of tables and other things you could fall from, not to wander off, etc.

— but as frustrating as Shuichi can be you really can’t get upset with him because dammit he’s so cute when he gets protective and you love him so so much

Rantaro Amami

— honestly he’s not super concerned at first

— he trusts you to be careful and not get yourself killed, and he trusts Miu to get you back to normal somehow, so why should he be worried?

— though he’ll still be pretty chill for the most part, he will start to be more protective of you when he starts to fully process the sheer number of tragic deaths you could succumb to in your current shrunken state

— this protectiveness takes the form of him offering you way more assistance than you need

— it’s nice that you want to help out, rantaro, but your s/o doesn’t need you to help them find something to sit on, c’mon now

— he kind of enjoys the way you literally fit right into the palm of his hands

— additionally, there’s now a very small, feral urge in the back of his mind to brush and style your hair like his sisters always used to do with their dolls

— he’ll probably never mention it, but don’t be too surprised if he all of a sudden takes a strong liking to playing with your hair once you’re back to normal

Kokichi Ouma

— did you expect him to treat this situation with the proper concern and caution it deserves? because if so i have bad news for you-

— he thinks it’s so funny how small you are

— like, so funny Miu has to physically intervene to get him to stop cracking up at your tiny form

— obviously you don’t think it’s as funny as he does

— right away he’s thinking of ways he could use your size to his advantage to mess with somebody

— at one point he decides it would be really funny to pretend he’s going to step on you which essentially translates to pretending he’s going to murder you but once you chew him out and explain to him how mean that was he actually feels really bad for upsetting you

— while he’s nowhere near as small as you are now, Kokichi is a rather petite guy, so the size difference between the two of you isn’t quite as drastic as it is between you and the taller guys

— since he’s a little less likely to accidentally smush you, he’s able to sorta cuddle you as if you were a small stuffed animal

— and btw being gently held and all snuggled up in his arms like that??? HEAVEN. LITERAL HEAVEN

Gonta Gokuhara

— if i had to choose someone who’s the least likely to accidentally get you killed while you’re shrunk, it would be Gonta

— i mean, he handles bugs that are much smaller and delicate than you are now, and if he can take such good care of them, obviously he’ll be able to take care of you no problem!

— you draw the line at him putting you in the little bug box he carries with him, though. you’re a human being, not a beetle!

— he likes to have you sit on his shoulders! they’re so broad that there’s plenty of room for you, too

— his hair is long enough for you to hang onto it to keep your balance if you need to!

— being so tiny also really puts into perspective just how gentle Gonta is

— yes, you’ve seen firsthand how he’s able to handle delicate little insects, and he’s always gentle with you, too, but being in the position of an insect in the palm of his hand, so to speak, is so much different

— you’ve never had anyone touch you with so much care, solicitude, and just pure love before and it’s honestly the most incredible feeling in the world

— (s/o) is tiny???? how??? WHY??? HUH??

— at he’s pretty concerned about his knowledge of how humans work and fears he knows much less than he thought

— nobody ever told him they could shrink!!! he didn’t know humans could do that!! that’s because they can’t, kiibo, but i appreciate the concern

— once you explain what happened to him - how you were helping Miu out when her current experiment decided to malfunction and go apeshit, making you the size of a doll in the process - he’s a little less confused but also a lot more angry

— he makes sure to give Miu a thorough lecture on lab safety! he can’t have his s/o getting hurt just by being in the same room as her!!

— don’t worry, he’ll simmer down once you assure him that you’re okay!

— similar to Gonta, Kiibo is very careful with you! he knows you’re much more fragile than he is under normal circumstances, but now that you’re so little he’s even more worried about how susceptible to injury you are

— when he holds you or touches you, he does so with the utmost precision and care, as if you’re made of glass and would shatter if he laid his hands on you incorrectly

— he won’t tell you this, but he’s really looking forward to the day Miu is able to get you back to normal just so he won’t need to be so anxious about your safety anymore

— it’s hard work worrying about the person you love!!

Kaito Momota

— another one who’s probably not as phased by the situation as he should be

— but when Miu told him that she’d accidentally shrunk his s/o, he didn’t think that meant "i shrunk your s/o and don’t have a way fix it at this point in time"

— so when he realizes that now he has to help make sure you don’t, idk, die, he’s a little annoyed. not with you, though!

— i mean, technically he doesn’t *have* to help you out, but it would be a real dick move if he didn’t lol

— he lets you sit up on his shoulder, or in the pocket of his jacket!

— at first he doesn’t totally process that you’re a little more fragile than usual, so he may accidentally manhandle you from time to time

— just be sure to tell him if he’s holding you strangely, or if you’re starting to get uncomfy

— his priority is making sure you’re taken care of and he's not about to let himself of all people get in the way of that!!

Korekiyo Shinguuji

— he’s very worried about you, but he’ll try to hide it

— the last thing he wants to do is make your situation more stressful than it needs to be by fussing over you to no end

— it’s not that he doesn’t think you can take care of yourself anymore! he just doesn’t think the world is safe enough for you anymore!

— if you catch on to his anxiety and decide to question him about it, he’ll most likely go off on a tangent about how ‘humans are at the top of the food chain’ and ‘there’s a reason most predators are large and most prey is small’ and ‘in nature small creatures are naturally put in constant danger" or something

— while you may not necessarily appreciate him comparing you to a small prey animal, you know his heart is in the right place

— he just wants to protect you!!

— Kiyo has pretty large, slender hands, and you fit in his palm rather comfortably

— under normal circumstances, he’s incredibly gentle with you, and his delicacy of his touches increases tenfold now that you’re so tiny

— in a strange way, it almost feels like he handles you the same way he would handle some sort of fragile, ancient artifact that could be destroyed with just the smallest slip of the hand

— frankly, it’s a bit of an unusual sensation, albeit in a good way!! it’s nice to be touched so gently, y’know?

Ryoma Hoshi

— he’s glad to have a chance to be the tall one in the relationship... lol i’m jk... or am i?

— unlike the other guys, Ryoma doesn’t really dote on you and assume you need his help for everything, mostly because he knows firsthand what it’s like to be so much smaller than someone

— he doesn’t really like being treated like he’s helpless, or needs constant aid from taller people, so he’s mindful of the way he responds to the situation as not to end up behaving exactly like those who frustrate him to no end

— of course if you need him for anything, whether it’s helping you go from one place to another, or just wanting some love from your boyfriend, he’s always right there for you!

— however, sometimes he needs to go get someone taller than him to help you out with something, which he really Does Not Enjoy™️, so before you ask him to help you get something from up high (by your current standards, ofc) be sure to ask yourself if it really can’t wait until you’re back to normal lol

— like with Kokichi, the size difference between you and Ryoma isn’t all that drastic compared to some of the others, so he also manages to cuddle you without much issue. it’s a little awkward at first, but at least there’s no fear he might accidentally lay on top of you and squish you to death

— perks of having a boyfriend who’s 3’5", y’know?

Miu Iruma

— you’ve always enjoyed helping Miu out in her lab, and it isn’t uncommon for her to request your assistance with something, but up until now nothing has ever really... gone wrong in there, at least not majorly

— somehow, whatever shrinking device she’d been working on decided to have an absolute freak attack and target you, not the watermelon she was about to test it on, and now you’re about ten times smaller than you should be

— at least it works... right?

— she’s very apologetic and honestly feels so incredibly guilty that she could have possibly let something like this happen to you

— you’re honestly not very upset at first. she can fix it and you’ll be back to normal in no time, right? ...right?

— now is not the best time for Miu to be telling you about how she hasn’t yet developed a way to reverse the shrinking properties of her latest invention, but unfortunately she doesn’t really have another choice

— in the meantime, she takes it upon herself to whip up a few things to make your new life as a tiny person easier until she can dedicate her time to finding out how to get you back to normal

— you’re a little surprised at the sheer amount of robotic tools and gadgets provided to you that she just had laying around, as well as how quickly she’s able to throw together little devices to help you get around quicker, or reach things up high

— if there was any doubt that she was truly upset that her experimentation could have gone so wrong, it all vanishes the second she places her lips on your head (you may be small but that’s not going to stop her from kissing you!!) and says she’s never going to let herself put you in harms way ever again

— she loves you more than anything in the world, and would spend the rest of her life trying to undo the damage she caused if she had to! that’s how much you mean to her <3

Nagito Komaeda

"Nagito... i need to move my arms." you said tentatively to your boyfriend, who was currently wrapped around you like a python.

"mmh... but you’re so warm..." he mumbled, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck.

"you can still lay on me, i just need my arms back." you giggled. he didn’t move, but loosened the vice-grip of a hug he had on you, giving you enough mobility to wiggle your arms out from beneath his lanky form. they were tingly; he’d been on top of you so long they’d started to fall asleep.

you reached for your cell phone on the bedside table, sighing when you saw a storm of notifications waiting for you. texts from your boss, a missed call from your mom, about a dozen emails... you were too tired to deal with all that.

Nagito lifted his head up ever so slightly as you tossed your phone into the bed. he looked at you curiously. it was only mid morning, what could be stressing you out already?

"i’m okay." you said sweetly, running your fingers through his hair with a smile before he could even voice his concern. he relaxed a little at the feeling of your hands on his head. you always managed to take all his worries away, make him forget about how worthless he was. you made him feel so incredibly loved.

Nagito shifted once more, this time burying his face into your chest, as if to seek something soft to rest upon. he was still half-asleep, not thinking very hard about what he was doing, and you knew that. yet, you couldn’t help but blush as the loose camisole you’d slept in slipped down more and more as he sought a comfortable spot for his head. you wondered if he was aware of the compromising position the two of you would be in if somebody happened to walk in the room.

"N-Nagito..." you stammered, your mind starting to melt as all you could think about was the feeling of his soft skin against your own.

"i’m sorry," he lifted his head up a bit, eyes meeting yours. "i didn’t mean to-"

"no, you’re okay!" you replied a bit too suddenly. "i-i mean... you don’t have to move, i-if you don’t want to. i don’t mind if you lay on me." your face felt like it was on fire and Nagito smiled up at you like a lovesick puppy.

he proceeded to nuzzle himself into your chest again, and you mindlessly played with his hair. he let out a small, content sigh and you couldn’t help but wonder if it was comfortable to be sandwiched between your breasts. regardless, Nagito seemed to enjoy it, and that was good enough for you.

"i wish we could stay in bed forever." you lamented.

"do you have to get up?" Nagito questioned, his voice a bit muffled. you couldn’t help but chuckle at his refusal to move.

"not yet. we can lay here for a while."

"good." Nagito shifted ever-so-slightly, just so he could plant a gentle kiss on your skin, the sensation of his lips against you sending warmth through your whole body . "i love you, (y/n). you know that, right?"

"oh, Nagito, how could i ever forget?" you cooed. you could feel him smile as he snuggled into you. "and, for the record, i love you too."

Kokichi Ouma

Kokichi tugged at your shirt and slipped one hand beneath your skirt as he placed chaste kisses on your lips, all but begging you to take your clothes off, though he refused to part his lips from yours long enough to even allow you to do so. he’d been needy since that morning (though you really weren’t sure why), and now that he’d finally gotten you alone he couldn’t seem to keep his hands off you. you sighed as he trailed his lips down your neck, nipping at the tender skin.

"Kichi, what’s gotten into you?" you laughed as he nibbled your collarbone.

"you’ve been ignoring me all day!" he whined, still leaving love bites across your skin. "this is payback, (y/n)~"

"i wasn’t ignoring you, i just had — oh!" you gasped as he yanked your shirt up. you shifted your arms so he could remove the pesky fabric from your body, but when he proceeded to pin you down, you had trouble remembering what you were saying. "i had things to do! i can’t just drop everything and have sex with you whenever you want!"

"well, you should!" he pouted, sitting up straight, though still straddling you. "now c’mon, say you’re sorry~"

you playfully rolled your eyes. "i’m sorry."

"for what?"

"for ignoring you."

"for ignoring who?"

"for ignoring my amazing, wonderful, boyfriend."

in one swift movement, Kokichi pinned your hands above your head, his face only inches from yours. "that’s better." he leaned down, capturing your lips in a fierce kiss, using his free hand to wrangle your bra off of you as he explored your mouth. you could still taste the grape panta he’d drank earlier that day on his tongue.

you used his intense focus on you to your advantage, breaking your arms free from his grasp and rolling over on top of him. he let out an involuntary gasp as you leaned over him, hands resting on either side of his head. he bit his lip and giggled at you.

"feisty tonight, are you?" he teased, wrapping his legs around your waist in order to pull you closer to him. he proceeded to grind his hips up towards you; the sensual contact sending a shiver of pleasure up your spine. you knew he was only trying to distract you enough to take over, and you knew better than to fall for his tricks, but the way his clothed body felt against the skin of your thigh was inexplicable in the best kind of way.

it was his turn to attempt to flip you over and put himself back in control through an expertly timed roll, but you weren’t about to let him win your submission quite so easily. when he pushed against your torso and began to shift his weight to the left, you resisted, pushing yourself back on top of him. though this time, he found himself staring not at your face above his, but... your breasts. he smirked, and when you glanced down at him it was all too obvious he had a plan for you.

"Kichi, what are you — ah!" you gasped as he sat up halfway, just enough to nestle his face right in the center of your chest. startled, you instinctively pulled back a little, but he only pushed himself against you harder. you couldn’t help but laugh. “what are you doing?”

“getting comfortable, duh. now stop squirming~” he answered, his voice muffled. you let out a pleasured yelp as he began to kiss and nip at the tender skin on your chest. you were in for a long night.

hey everyone, long time no see! sorry for sort of vanishing for a while, i’ve been super busy with school and my job and kind of lost interest in danganronpa for a little bit,,,, but i’m back and i’m gonna try my best to get through the requests in our inbox and maybe even try and finish a few more of the october prompts (if you guys would still be interested in seeing those!!).

anyways, sorry for the long wait on your request, anon! this was one i had started a few months ago back when i was writing regularly and i finally buckled down and finished it!! i decided to do all the v3 boys (except kiibo because uhhh hes a robot) instead of just the ones who died in canon to avoid spoilers for anyone who hasn’t finished the game yet!! i apologize if some of these seem repetitive i sorta started running out of ideas by the end lmao. i hope you enjoy, anon!

Shuichi Saihara

— to say the least, Shuichi is a little shaken up now that he’s gone and you’re... well, not.

— he always told you he’d stay by your side forever, and he feels guilty. he feels like he broke a promise

— but... you talk to him again that first night. you say his name and look straight at him. can you see him? no, it couldn’t be... right?

— of course, once he puts all the pieces together, it all makes sense

— you’re the ultimate spirit medium, for goodness sakes! of course you can see him and speak to him the same way you would any other living person

— after a while, Shuichi stops feeling so guilty for leaving you. partially because it doesn’t feel quite like he’s abandoned you, and also because you reassure him that he didn’t do anything wrong by dying

— i mean, come on, it’s not his fault he got killed! how could you ever hold that against him?

— still, it takes him some time to come to terms with everything.

— though he loves you, he still finds it sad that he can never speak to anyone else ever again. at least, not without your aid.

— but as long as he has you by his side to help him cope... he knows he’ll be alright

— after all, he loves you, and you love him. and that’s enough to give him the strength he needs to keep from falling apart.

Rantaro Amami

— he's still very protective of you, despite the fact he’s merely a spirit now

— he’s always right by your side, no matter what.

— even when you aren’t able to take a moment to talk to him, or even look in his direction, Rantaro is right there

— if he were still alive, the way he now follows you around all the time may seem obsessive and creepy, but you actually appreciate it

— nobody else can see or speak to him but you, which makes his constant presence comforting, in a way

— Rantaro isn’t able to touch you in the same way he could when he was alive, but nonetheless, he still tries

— he’ll try to place his hand atop yours, or wrap his arms around your figure, but he always just passes straight through you

— you find the chill that blossoms on your skin where he touched you comforting; it’s a reminder that even though he’s gone, he’s still there with you

— it breaks his heart that he can’t truly be with you, but he tries not to focus on his own problems too much

— after all, your happiness is much more important to him than his own; you are his priority

— you’ll have to remind him that it’s okay for him to be sad, and that he shouldn’t bottle up his own emotions to be there for you

— he’ll want to keep being the person to take care of you, and watch out for you, but he needs you to be that person for him

Kokichi Ouma

— you didn’t really think Kokichi would start behaving himself just because he’s dead, did you?

— honestly he uses the fact only you can see and speak to him to his advantage

— good luck trying to keep your cool around other people while he’s off being a clown right in front of you

— but of course, he’s not all fun and games

— i mean... he’s dead. and that sucks

— he probably won’t show it, at least not right away, but he doesn’t like the feeling of separation between you two

— sure, he’s still around, but not like before. before, he could surprise you with a kiss or a suffocating hug, but he just can’t do that anymore

— it hurts. really bad.

— but he knows he’ll be okay. he know’s he’ll get used to it someday, as long as he has you with him to cheer him up when he gets especially sad

— you’re his sunshine, and he may not show it, but he needs you. so don’t leave him all alone, okay?

Gonta Gokuhara

— lets be honest... Gonta has the hardest time of the bunch adjusting to being nothing more than a spirit

— you’ll likely have to give him a lot of comfort. he’s confused, and he misses being able to be with you for real :(

— the hardest part for him is no longer being able to touch you

— he longs to feel your lips press gently against his cheek, to lay in your lap as your hands comb through his hair... he’d give anything to hold you in his arms again...

— unlike Rantaro, he’s not content with merely passing through your body when he makes contact with you

— it just... upsets him. it’s a cruel reminder that his life ended, and that he will never get to hold you, kiss you, and just love you the way he could before his life ended

— be patient with him, please... he’ll adapt eventually... but it could take a while

— just make sure to remind him how much you love him, he’ll need a lot of reassurance and comfort from you

Kaito Momota

— surprisingly, Kaito adapts to the situation pretty well

— he’s very fascinated by the mere notion of being a spirit and has the time of his life unlife getting used to his new body

— at first you’re happy for him. i mean, it’s good that he’s not struggling, right? shouldn’t you want him to feel okay? you wouldn’t want him to suffer in sadness like you, right?

— but he’s so enthralled with his new state of being he... almost forgets to check up on you

— and even when he does spend time with you, it almost feels like all he does is talk about himself and the new things he’s discovered about being a spirit

— it’s frustrating, to say the least. you know you didn’t truly lose him, but it feels like you did

— when you finally tell him that you feel like he’s changed, he’s confused

— when Kiyo hears you say how much you miss him, how you feel like he’s so different now, he’s kinda just like ???????

— how could he be different? it’s still him, don’t you know that?

— after a long night of reflecting while you sleep (not needing rest is one of the many perks of being a spirit), Kiyo realizes what he’s been doing wrong

— you used to love when he’d talk to you endlessly about his work, his research, etc.

— but now, when he’d ramble on for hours about new things he’d learned thanks to being a mere spirit, it was just another painful reminder to you that he was dead. that he was gone.

— the moment he gets a chance, he apologizes to you. it’s a bit of an emotional moment for both of you, being the first time either of you have confronted the end of Kiyo’s life head on

— he tries to hold you, but all you feel is an icy chill where his flesh would have met yours, but oddly enough... it doesn’t make you feel worse

— you’d anticipated another tsunami of your own tears after Kiyo’s body passed through yours, but it’s comforting, albeit in a morbid way

— he’s gone, but you haven’t lost him. and you’ll never lose him; he’ll remind you of that every day if he has to

Ryoma Hoshi

— man, if you thought ryoma’s attitude and general outlook on life was depressing before, you’ve got a big storm coming

— for a long time after his death, he’s very... cold. to everyone and everything

— he’s upset. but not because he’s dead, but because he can’t protect you anymore

— being there for you, to defend you and keep you safe, had become his raison d’être, so to speak

— he knows you can still see him and talk to him. he’s not stupid. but he pretends he doesn’t hear you at first. part of him thinks that if he shuts you out long enough, you’ll come to your senses and realize you should be upset with him

— but you never do. despite what he thinks he deserves, you never turn on him, never give up on him, never stop loving him

— with time, he’ll come around and start learning to cope with his own death, and the fact you outlived him

— and you’ll be there with him every step of the way (whether he likes it or not)

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.

Ryomaede dating headcanons

- Having someone important to him after such a lomg time was certainly a strange feeling for Ryoma, for he had lost the people close to him a long while ago

- It took a while for him to get used to having someone there for him but it wasn't a bad feeling at all, he rather liked it

- Kaede was there to cheer him on in his tougher times in life, it was nice and comforting to have her by his side

- As for Kaede, Ryoma would always be full of great advice and would end up inspiring her a lot, it helps since she is normally the one hyping people up and inspiring them

- Everyone wonders how the two got together in the first place, seeing as the two are seemingly so different, but they discovered they had more similarities than they thought

- Dates would often be at home, seeing as they both enjoyed relaxing with just the two of them alone but Kaede would always make sure they have something to do

- Kaede would try to teach Ryoma Piano, wanting to combine her favorite passion and person so she could spend time with both, surprisingly, Ryoma is quite good at the piano

- Sadly, when she was being taught how to play tennis by a reluctant Ryoma, Kaede wasn't as skilled

- She would trip up a lot and didn't hit the tennis ball very far, luckily, Ryoma was patient enough to guide her carefully and she eventually nearly beat him in a match (although Ryoma kind of let her)

- They would cuddling a lot in private as Ryoma was unexpectedly rather shy about pda but that was ok with Kaede, more cuddles at home then!

He tries to ignore his feelings for you as long as possible, but he's forced to admit them when people start asking him why he's so protective of you.

If you said you liked him back, he'd pause for a moment, registering what you said.

he plays it off as no big deal and leaves kind of abruptly.

He'll make sure he's alone, and scream into a pillow.

Domestic hcs:

He wakes up really early, so get used to waking up and he's won't be there.

Don't think he wouldn't leave without letting you know he cares, it's quite the opposite.

To all mods: favorite and least favorite DR protagonists? From any game

Hi, anon! Big brain gamer rant time. (Spoilers ahead... maybe? At least for v3)

I'd say that Hajime is my favorite because he plays a more active and realistic role in the game compared to most of the other protags. He also doesn't need much development and remains consistant throughout the game in terms of personality and views. He doubts his friends in order to believe in them and I find that really admirable since out of the male protags he is the least of a pushover and stands for what he believes so they all won't die.

Komaru is my second favorite protag as she gets good character development on purpose for reasons I won't really spoil but also she helps get Toko the development she deserves and I just have to thank her for making one of my favorite characters get their potential recognized.

Kaede but not because she's a girl, Komaru is right there. Unlike most of the protags, she had confidence in herself and her talent. Also, she plays an active role in chapter 1 in the game and pushes the story forward herself whereas some other protags sat and watched until the 6th chapter where they finally had to do something although I can't say she'd be like this the entire game which is what is stopping me from bringing her higher up.

Makoto isn't the last on the list because of Kyoko. That's not the only reason, I love Makoto and he's adorable and kind. His kindness truely shows through with Kyoko, however. He puts his full trust in her in chapters 5 and 6, literally putting his life on the line because he knows that Kyoko knows what she's doing. I love him but he's not the best protag. He tries to be friends with and trusts everyone which leads to him standing by and doing nothing which results in people getting killed and Makoto feeling betrayed and a new chapter starts. I did like how he was in chapter 6 though.

(Sorry Shuichi fans, I love him but I have many problems to do with him as a character and a protag but Kaede may have not been any better)

And finally, Shuichi. It's not because Kaede would have been better because who knows, she could have been worse. All I know is that I didn't like Shuichi's character development very much if at all. It's kinda very all over the place (just like my arguements). I get what it's supposed to be: Detective learns to follow evidence and truth, detective also learns emotions and lies are pretty cool too, detective balances both out in a comprise in the final trial. That's good. It follows the game's themes of truth and lie and even the smaller topic of logic and emotion. There are some problems, however. For starters, chapter 1 is good, it's clear what Shuichi has learned from it and will remember the advice in the future but after that, Kaito steps in and messes up his development by forcibly making Shuichi trust his friends blindly for no reason. This could get everyone killed if Shuichi wasn't also secretly the ultimate lucky student and was coincidentally right each time. He does his best to balance both out in the end but doesn't really? He just does one sometimes and sometimes he does the other. Completely disregarding his development.

Tldr; Hajime, Komaru, Kaede, Makoto then Shuichi
