Danganronpa double team post!

Recently I've been feeling the Danganronpa brain rot seeping back into my body, so I made a couple teams for character's I'm particularly fond of. Putting them below the cut for potential spoiler based reasonings on some party members, so consider this your formal spoiler warning for Danganronpa 2 and Super Danganronpa Another 2. (Also you MIGHT be able to argue Danganronpa 3 Anime spoilers I guess, but that sucks shit, so who cares)

Starting with my favorite (official) character Mikan! I want to preface the individual team member coverage with the notion that she's mostly a poison specialist, because it just felt right.

So starting with Nidoqueen, this one doesn't have that concrete of an explanation actually, I've just always imagined her using a Nidoqueen. The thing is though, I can partially justify it with fresh thoughts. So for one thing, I kinda just like the idea of the Remnants of Despair having some big strong pokemon, and given Mikan's heapings of medical malpractice during her time being fucked up and evil, and her more... sexualized role in game, Nidoqueen feels pretty right. Salazzel is also an option under similar logic, but Nidoqueen also feels good for when she's not evil, since it's tender and chill, which honestly, Mikan just really needs exposure to man.

Cradily is mostly here to meet a criteria. Mikan is the fan-service character in DR2 (which, for the record, is my LEAST favorite part of her character), so having a Pokemon that lends itself well to that felt kinda necessary. Cradily is here specifically due to the rather falic tentacles. I will say though, since I've stewed on the top-half of this team for years, I've also just grown to like Cradily for her outside the initial logic. The idea of Mikan having this ancient, predatory plant just feels kinda right. Idk about you, but the (formerly) evil nurse having an acid spitting, formerly dead predatory plant just kinda feels more fitting to me than any other tentacled freak.

Chansey shouldn't really need explanation. Mikan is a nurse, hell, I imagine in a Pokemon setting she'd be trying to get a job in a Pokemon center. Chansey just comes with the job. As for why it isn't Blissey, well for one thing, Blissey isn't the trademark Pokecenter pokemon. Though, I do also imagine that it being a happiness evolution would mean that during her time as a Remnant of Despair, its happiness score would plummit, thus preventing evolution.

Now, the back half of this team was hard, as I never really thought up a concrete set of 6 pokemon for Mikan, just the first three, so I may or may not have come up with these in a discord call with some friends.

Clodsire is honestly really simple. The logic behind Mikan being a poison specialist partially comes from the fact that a core part of anti-venoms is the venom it cures. Clod is a cute, cuddley creature that has giant venomous barbs that come out of its back. Call me crazy, but I have to imagine Clod being a pokemon that often hospitalizes people for that reason. It's just convenient to have one on hand. (Also it's really fucking cute, and Mikan deserves to have one cute little guy on her team I think.)

Seviper is here for very similar reasons to Clod (and technically Nidoqueen as well, but like, they aren't very irritable I'm pretty sure, so like, the anti-venom angle is less important). Sevipers are often depicted as particularly irritable pokemon, and are based on vipers, so you damn well know they got some pretty damn potent venom. As to why I did Seviper over say, Arbok (who's not only native to the region I usually pin Mikan into, but also might draw from the I'm pretty sure more deadly than most Vipers King Cobra), it is at least partially due to my buddies on the call just suggesting Seviper over Arbok. The reason why I commited to Seviper however is back to the Remnant of Despair thing. Even though I personally usually set Arbok as a Poison/Dark type when thinking of edits to pokemon I'd personally make (and always leave Seviper as pure poison), Seviper just seems more evil you know? Giant snake that's always ready to strike and has a blade at the end of its tail? That's evil as hell! (There's also the fact that my first exposure to Pokemon at all was the Gen 4 anime, and Jessie uses Seviper all throughout that series, so that might also be why I see Seviper that way...)

Finally is Galarian Slowking. As I've stated prior, Mikan (as a Remnant of Despair) is an evil nurse doing evil nurse things. Galarian Slowking is a shady witch doctor doing god knows what to the pokemon it treats. It's honestly a match made in heaven, don't know how it took until the end of the call for me to come up with it.

Next is Iroha from SDRA 2. While SDRA2 is very much a fangame, I don't really care, and usually clump it and DRA together with the official games when I think about this series. While Iroha isn't my favorite SDRA2 character (probably), she is definately up there, and also she's been chewing on my brain today so it's fine.

Starting with Smeargle, it is quite literally the most obvious choice for her. She is quite literally the Ultimate Painter! (I mean, not actually, basically none of the cast are actually Ultimates if I understood chapter 6 correctly but whatever.) Smeargle was a no-duh pokemon. But that doesn't mean it doesn't carry a fucked up undertone. So, for reference, Iroha actually fucking hates painting for abuse based reasons, so what I imagine is that this Smeargle was forced upon her by her parents. While she hates painting and is far from fond of what this Smeargle represents, I imagine she keeps it around due to it probably being her only companion for much of her life.

While the background for Smeargle is kinda dark, Flareon is very simple and wholesome. Iroha is an artist, and more specifically a landscape artist. Flareon is here to serve as a warm and soft friend to snuggle up with while at work or while relaxing. She deserves it! (Fun fact, this Flareon was very almost a Clodsire for much of the same logic, but then I thought about it and realized that she probably would get herself pricked by the barbs, so uh, yeah.)

Kirlia is interesting. So, like any danganronpa character, Iroha is full of a heaping helping of trauma. Kirlia is here as something of a coping thing, as well as to represent and show her "optimistic yet lacking in self-confidence" personality. It's not evolved because I honestly don't think she should be trusted with a Gardevoir, for both blackhole and said Gardevoir's mental health related reasons.

Vileplume is INCREDIBLY simple, but has multiple parts of the logic. For one thing, she's a landscape artist, and I think a plant pokemon lends itself well to that. There also the connections I pulled from her name meaning. I'm not doing the full breakdown (go to the Fanganronpa wiki for that), but her first name pulls from color and leaf, and her last name basically just means over the rainbow. Plant pokemon go well with leaves, and for some reason, and I associate many of Gen one's grass types with rainbows for Erika related reasons. As for why Vileplume specifically, it's a mixture of bias (I really like Vileplume), and the mixture of its poison typing and typically shadowed face in art and sprites being a nod to her secretly being a Void member.

Wishiwashi is heavily symbolic. Iroha is, and I'm saying this 100% affectionately, a complete fucking girlfail. She messes up alot, isn't super bright, and most of all, is overly reliant on others. That last point is the core of the logic. Iroha has a heavy dependance on others to deal with many of her problems, and that lines up exactly with how Wishiwashi as a species is. Also Wishiwashi has the same sad, sopping wet kicked puppy thing Iroha has going on, so yeah. (Dead ass, Iroha can genuinely make that exact face.)

Ending off not strong at all is Mr. Mime. Why did I give Iroha a Mr. Mime? Honestly? No fucking clue. My brain was just yelling at me to give her a Mr. Mime. It's not really fitting for her character or anything, nor does it really fit with her background, but something in the back of my mind was telling me to give her a Mr. Mime, and since I couldn't think of a last pokemon I did. I mean, she do be a Goober.

A very Riverdale Halloween (4x04)

Betty is stalked by somebody pretending to be her serial killer dad, Jughead is buried alive, Veronica is chased by an escaped murderer, and Archie......... has a party at his community centre for wayward youth.  Typical Riverdale tbh!!!

Riverdale should always do Halloween episodes where Archie wears spandex BUT... I feel like I was promised more Core 4 interactions this season and I feel like I am NOT getting that, and that this is a promise that is not being delivered on? Whyyy do they have to always do all these things separately I mean what are the chances that in the same episode, Jughead is buried alive, Veronica is chased by an escaped murderer and Betty is stalked by her dead dad. They could have just chosen one thing!!  The whole gang could have been stalked by the Black Hood and they figure it out together!! That one thing could have been enough on its own?

But anyway. I guess we needed Jug to be buried alive by his classmates as foreshadowing to when he actually does go missing and is actually buried alive for real or is presumed dead or fake dead or whatever.

Speaking of, the English teacher was VERY okay with Jughead being locked in a casket all night by his classmates?????? What the hell? I know this is a show where absurd things happen on the regular and most adults don't care but also it is 2019 and hazing rituals and forcible confinement are widely accepted as not okay? That was criminal behaviour and DEFINITELY could form the basis of a civil suit and we KNOW this school is made of money so you would think the ppl acting for the school would be less eager to take ownership of it. I look forward to the midseason twist where Betty helps Jug pursue a civil suit against Stonewall Prep for millions of dollars in damages.

What am I saying though, that would require Jug to show lasting psychological damage from this incident and no one on Riverdale ever seems to develop much in the way of ongoing mental trauma from the crazy things that happen to them.

Except maybe Polly. Girl, your sister literally saved you from blowing up in a bomb last week and THIS is how you repay her? Rude tbh.

Charles is so pretty. And usually I'm not into most of the men on CW shows but damn. He and Betty also bear an uncanny resemblance. It might be the cheekbones? The casting department did good.

So the Cooper-Jones One Big Happy Family has come to pass. Are we even ever gonna talk about how weird it is that they are all living together under the same roof? ..... probably not. 

Betty and I did NOT need Falice smooching over their morning coffee, that did need a warning and I do not appreciate it.

Veronica was very badass in how she took down the Family Killer, or whatever, but also, like, shockingly blase about it. He chased her through her restaurant to try and kill her!! She literally set a man on fire!! Is he dead? Did she kill him? Who cleaned up his body? Is he still lying down there? Is the Bonne Nuit now a murder investigation site? Okay on the last we know FP is sheriff, he probably just dragged the body out and disposed of it in acid, FP is not gonna bother with paperwork.

Idk what to say about Cheryl. The Jason storyline is so..... weird......

Toni should have been way more upset that her girlfriend has the literal body of her dead brother in their house? And she gaslit Toni into getting it back? I don't get what we are supposed to think about the Choni relationship, I really don't. I watch it and at least once an episode mutter "omg Toni, get out, love yourself" but also I feel like the show wants us to root for them. #justiceforToni

Riverdale has so many serial killers they can barely keep track when one escapes. Yet they only seem to have one police officer for the whole town. Cool. Cool cool cool.

What is a Serpent? We don't remember.

Spare a though for Juniper and Dagwood. None of Betty or Alice or Polly, y’know, their own mother, seem to remember their existence and I am extremely skeptical about Cheryl's qualifications as their long term guardian. But here we are. 

Betty and Jughead are the most precious though!!! That phone conversation!!! *FLAPS HANDS*

yesssss give me all the OTP content foreshadowing Jughead's disappearance and potential death while Betty angsts over it. The quality OTP content I want and need. My bbs.

I have no theory about the videotapes or why Charles was recording them at the end. Who can say. You know the writers are just making it all up as they go along. But we have already done an evil Chic storyline so we'll see!!!

I totally expect Gladys to make a fake nice/low-key snide comment when she first meets Betty about how much she looks like her mother as a teenager. And FP will probably be right there too, and Gladys will increase the sting by turning to him and saying "Am I right, FP? Isn't Betty just the image of Alice when we all were in high school together? It must have been such a shock when Jughead first introduced you two." And just to be clear, I do think Skeet played it that way.

Who knows what will happen. But if that’s the angle they’re going for with Gladys being bitter about Betty because of falice. Then a comment that is disguised as a compliment but said with acidity is something that I can picture so clearly. It’s something I’ve wanted for a long time. I just wish Alice was in her right mind at the moment and could say things back to her. Defend her daughter and herself. You know?

I feel like I need to add more to this post because this seems like just me saying I’m posting in AO3 and it’s more than that.

I’m not just posting on AO3, I will be moving my fics there and will be continuing all of my fics there. As of the moment, I’m still deciding whether or not I will continue to post in FF.net, but I’m about 80% decided that it’s a no.

The thing is, this is not a decision I made of my own volition. Let me explain.

For those of you who have been reading my fics or have read some of it, you all know that I write explicit smut scenes. I like writing those scenes. Thing is, one of my more smutty fics has been tagged by a certain group whose members thought it is their duty to be such stuck up, stick in the mud. They left a review on the fic saying that it’s MA and not M rated which has been banned from the site since 2002. This totally makes so much sense to me, considering how 50 Shades of Grey has been born from that hell site, (*rolls eyes*), but hey, rules are rules. The thing is, I can ignore them or curse the fuck out of them, which I would love to do, but either of these actions might cause me my ff.net account and my fics.

(There seems to be a process to the way they work which I will happily discuss if anyone wants to know.)

I worked on those fic, and regardless of my personal feelings about my writing, I will not let them do that to me.

I get that they have their reasons (which according to them is to make sure that the compliant fics get the attention that they deserve but are being overshadowed by fics like mine—and that sounds okay to me except they are bullying people to get to that, but hey, we all can’t get behind everyone’s agenda), but they are annoying the fuck out of me and I can’t deal with that stress right now. I still think it’s bullying, regardless of what they think to help them get sleep at night, but at the risk of getting my fics deleted, I’m backing down.

Having said that, I’m not trying to just spread vitriol against this group, I am entitled to my own opinion and my opinion is that they’re ridiculous kiss asses who have way too much time on their hands, and honestly, it seems like they’re a bunch of children on top of that too…but that’s my opinion and you can formulate yours. This side of the story is mine, and I’m sure they have theirs.

I digress.

Anyway, the point is, I’m moving my fics to AO3 and permanently moving there.

Riverdale Theories/Guesses and Questions Season 3:

Just a few new guesses:

-Given what certain cast members have written on Twitter/Insta about new projects filming elsewhere/missing or being missed on the Riverdale set/relocating permanently to LA I think we might lose several characters for good. Not just supporting, minor ones this time either a la Midge/Joaquin/Dillon and Ben. We may see some fairly well known ones go this time that we are more invested in.....

- My guesses are we may see Hiram, Mayor/Attorney McCoy and Ethel written out for good.

- Things don’t look good for Moose. I think he may end up at the SOQM conversion wing/get taken out by the GK.

- Alice and Gladys will have a showdown/verbal battle/be enemies. We know Madchen and Gina have both been on set very recently.

- Gladys will cause issues for Falice and Bughead.

- I hope Gina and Trinity are both upgraded to series regular for Season 4. They are amazing as Gladys and Jellybean and the Jones Yard is a fab new filiming location that has so much scope!

- I think the actor cast as Edgar will be another iconic/cult fave actor surprise big casting. Apparently it’s someone elusive and very very well known. I’m thinking maybe someone along the lines of Eddie Furlong, Freddie Prince Jnr, Anthony Head or the guy who played Spike in Buffy TVS etc, etc.

- Evelyn knows something or is involved in the seizure epidemic. It’s got to be something that’s easy to administer to certain people via food or drink. It’s not the Fizzle Rocks because it’s not affected Everyone who has taken them (Moose, Kevin haven’t had a seizure and they were taking them.)

- Are the seizures limited to the women/female teens of Riverdale only somehow? Not one male has had one so far.

- I really hope we don’t lose Hermione as I love Marisol but I’m not sure she’s been on set for some one either....I feel like she’ll survive though. Same with Penelope because I love Nat Boltt!

- I have a feeling Edgar isn’t the GK. it’s too obvious and they’ve spent too long building The Farm up to only have it be around for the last half of S3’s episodes.

- Venronica May find herself in a love triangle with Reggie and Archie.

- Archie will continue to make stupid decisions. He better bring Vegas back safely when he returns to Riverdale.

- Hermione has her reasons for what she is doing by seeming to go along with Hiram. There’s a deeper motivation than that she’s just become a one dimensional gangsters moll puppet.

- We may have seen the last of Penny Peabody for good which is a shame because Brit Morgan is a fabulous character actress and deserved a much better chance to show off her chops than she was given because PP was never really given enough development IMO.

- Alice and Betty will rebuild their relationship. I still have faith that we’ll see Alice turn it around and see Madchen back at her best with one waspy zinger one liners and verbal sparring/acid queen Alice characterisation that everyone is missing.

- I think Edgar gives Alice the moonstone ring we saw on Madchens ring finger in a BTS shot, not FP. I don’t know why I think this but does Alice maybe go through some sort of commitment/marriage with Edgar? Hope not but I have a gut feeling she might.....

- There will always be unfinished business with Gladys and FP. The family unit may end appearing to be pretty much back together, even if we don’t see any overt romantic scenes between FP and Gladys I think it will be left deliberately ambiguous so that the Writers can take it either way if they want to.

- There’s going to be an FP and Fred (and maybe Tom Keller) team up. I hope if hey kill off Sierra they don’t kill of Tom. Martin Cummings is a real asset and there so much great scope for his character that he writers can utilise for the Hot Dads Of Riverdale moments and the fans love him, Skeet and Luke on screen working together, quite rightly!!

- Veronica will not even address the fact that Archie basically crapped all over her after everything she did to get him out of Juvie, that will be swept under the carpet as only the Riverdale writers can do!

- I cannot remotely figure out why the writers made a point to have Gladys say that Hiram wanted Archie and Jughead ���off the chessboard’ because they were such a big threat. Why would 2 16 yr olds be a threat to a major mobster drug dealer? Or why Hiram would poison his own daughter into a seizure, accidentally or otherwise. TBH I hope he writers can tie that thread up well because it’s a massive stretch even for Riverdale!!

   I am now very familiar with Urban Decay usually abbreviated ud.  I tried 5 of their products & I am now a definite fan of the brand.   

I was interested to try their makeup prep pore refining peel.

Just to give you a quick recap on the brand:

Urban Decay, is described in three words Feminine, Dangerous, & Fun!  It is beauty with an edge.  The company was founded in 1996 & is 21 years old.  It originated in Orange County, California & and it’s corporate office is still in Newport Beach, California.  Although it is geared towards the younger generation, anyone can use & enjoy the brand.  I learned this first hand upon my first experience with Urban Decay.

In the 90’s, Pink was the trend.  Urban Decay Founders, Sandy Lemer, co founder of Cisco Systems & Pat Holmes, were at Lemer’s mansion in London & they mixed raspberry & black together to form a color they named Urban Decay.  They decided to form the cosmetics company Urban Decay.  They launched it in 1996 & the offerings were a line of 10 lipsticks & 12 nail polishes.  All their colors were inspired by urban landscape & their products had names such as smog, roach, oil, rust, slick, & acid rain.

Over the years they have been owned byMoet -Hennessy Lous Vuitton, The Falic Group,and Castanea Partners.  Currently they are owned by Loreal who paid $350 million for the brand.

The company has been recognized by PETA for being cruelty-free to animals.  Not only is there no animal testing to make their products, their makeup brushes are made from taklon.    They are 100% synthetic fiber instead of made from animal hairs like most brushes on the market.

 The pore refining peel is made for all skin types to include normal, oily, combination, dry & sensitive.  

It is used on your t-zone and on problem areas of your face.  Apply this smooth clear gel to your zone & problem areas.  Let dry for 10 minutes and then peel off.  Rinse any residue with warm water.   It is used only for problem areas.  

 The product was made to prepare your skin before you apply make up.   It is used to draw out impurities, making the pores appear smaller, more refined and cleaner.   The product has 9 plant extracts in the ingredients.

Some of the extracts & what they do include, Sugarcane extract (a natural form of glycolic acid) exfoliates, Irish moss soothes skin and supports cell renewal.   Common St. John’s wort, burdock root extract, and peppermint extract help condition.  Lemon balm delivers skin-calming properties. 

It has no parabens.  

I applied this to my t-zone & a couple of problem areas.  I have to admit, I had tried like products in the past and was not happy with how they worked.  After letting it dry for 10 minutes, this was extremely easy to peel off.  After peeling it off, the product really performed the way it had promised.  My pores did appear smaller & cleaner.  The added plus was the skin also felt softer.  

I then applied my makeup & it did look better.  I feel the product really performs well & I would definitely use for those days & night, I want to look extra special.

 At $26.00, I feel it a worthwhile investment.  This product will last a long time & is a product that helps the skin look and feel improved.

Red Carpet Romance Ch. 1|| A modern Falice AU

Chapter One

“ Are you high on fumes ?!” Alice Smith bursts out, anger tingeing her voice as she throws a look of contempt and bewilderment at Sierra Mccoy, the woman who is now sitting across the room coolly and with an expression she has yet to determine. She sucks in harsh, deep breaths while she paces the room, her too-high heels clicking against the wooden floor, her arms crossed against her chest.

She has to be kidding, Alice thinks bitterly. She gives Sierra another glare while the other woman only shakes her head and looks at Alice with a nonplussed expression. Out of all the people Alice knows, Sierra might be the only one who actually tries to meet her head on and gain some actual results. Most of the people who dare do the same only gets flattened by her sarcasm, and it’s probably why she respects Sierra more than she does anyone in the industry.

It might be also why she’s been tagged Acid Queen by the press—not that she gives a damn at all anymore, having been called a variety of names in the past, some more colorful than just that, and honestly, being in the industry means having to develop a thicker skin than that, so really, she doesn’t care.

She turns her attention back at Sierra whose shoulders rise and fall in a shrug, her expression turning passive and her voice turning into pacifying, something that Alice really, really hates
