I've decided to make a lot of posts on patreon released to the public/free because I think most everyone who subscribes is just doing it for the stickers and bookmarks and to support me, not for early access to posts. This also means I can just copy paste on the same day to tumblr which is a little easier for me.

I actually decided the pastel store bought bookcloth looked a bit too plain and added metal corner pieces in gold. As mentioned, the end pages are hand-marbled by me and not the best, but it's important to me to try using the things I make even if they're not perfect.

The illustration is by @velinxi on twitter, used with permission for human_alias' typeset, which I had permission from both to print.

It was strange but fun using someone else's typeset; I don't usually do that, but this caught my eye. Especially the illustrations!

And we all know I'm a sucker for acernor fics.

This book is what converted me to the 50% pva/wheat starch paste church because I glued down the end pages with pva like usually and had to destroy it to adjust it. When mixing pva with paste, it takes longer to dry and you have more time to adjust. Highly recommend.

Although I love the gold corner pieces I've designed a cover art to do in gold vinyl. Usually I do the vinyl before casing the book in because it's easier (ironing a flat rectangle vs ironing a book) but that's how this turned out. Acernor liked the cover design I came up with so I'll be doing that soon.

A) 1st is a Golden core reveal fic which also included Wangji telling Wuxian about the marriage ribbon and the two of them serving tea to Jiang Cheng and Yanli after it.

B) 2nd is a modern AU fic where Wuxian is a Hacker? Code writer? for his main job but also is a music teacher I think while Wangji works in hospital? They have a big concert together is what I remember.

11. Hi! It has been a while. So there's this ff that I have read before and I cannot remember the title. So it goes like

Wei Ying was going to destroy the Yin Tiger Tally and he knows he's gonna die in process. Jin Ling's 100th day is also coming up so he insists A-Yuan to go there too with someone I cannot remember (but I think it was Song Lan) and he told A-Yuan to find Lan Zhan. I think he also wrote some letters for the people invited there to read. A-Yuan started crying I think and yelling that Gold was bad (he was refering to the Jins because they tortured them on camps before).

Pov to Wen Qing and Wen Ning. They weren't aware that Wei Ying was going to destroy the Yin Tiger. I think Wei Ying told them to buy something or collect something. So while they were out Wei Ying started to destroy the Yin Tiger. Wen Qing senses something was wrong and hurriedly went back to the Burial Mounds. Time skip Wei Ying still dies (?) Wen Qing was trying to revive him until she passes out. Time skip again Lan Zhan Jiang Yanli Jin Zixuan came to the burial mounds, Jin Zixuan got shot by an arrow and was poisoned so Jiang Yanli find Wen Qing and beg at her to save her husband. I don't remember much but at some point they saw Wei Ying's corpse.

I don't remember much, but it was a rare-pairing of WRH and WWX. I'm not sure if it was a time travel fic. When bunny was 14 or something, a water deity came from the waters of Yunmeng and told him of his powers/potentials. Bunny then was take. To kunlun mountain or smth like that and found out that he controlled the void, darkness, some elements as well. He meditated and became immortal and had lived for more than 200 years in another realm. In Yunmeng, he was still a kid and went to seclusion to complete his meditation or something. He also had a wife/lover in underworld and it was a mix of Greek mythology and others as well. @tinyfoxpeach

It's basically post burial mounds siege where wwx ascended to immortality, and lwj ascended after his 33 discipline whip punishment. Lwj's injuries were so grave that it carried to his ascension. Do you have any SVSSS fic recs? Preferably SY-centric, not the Original SJ lol. I got into the fandom through fics (esama's mostly) so I haven't read the novels (yet) 💀 I remember you highly recced scum villain, but I don't remember if you've written any fics lol, now I gotta check ^^.

I have oodles of sv fics bookmarked on ao3, just filter for fandom! ymmv, etc, but to me, you can't go wrong w feynite's work (i wish you were my husband, good vibrations) and love acernor's stuff (dual cultivation or date is classic imo). but seriously, so much good stuff out there, and my bookmarks is the easiest way for me to rec while you can still decide if something sounds good to you!

How many wips do you have currently?

Oh my god, so many. There's "and found," which is the MLC fic I'm currently posting, I have two pieces nearing completion for the Path of the Dinosaurs zine, the WangXian and XiYao interludes for the ghost story AU...um, what else. Then of course there are a bunch of side/post-stories for "Equilateral" that I have partially written, and a time travel/transmigration thing about Meng Yao, and a couple of attempts at Scum Villain fic. There's a WenZhou ghost story that I'm rather stuck on, a Qi Ye college AU that I thought I'd started writing down but apparently didn't? Or I can't find the file? Bit annoyed about that, I'd looked up a snake for it and everything. I have a start for something in the Transformers fan continuity that @rudojudo and I are working on together--the continuity is for the moment named "Transformers: Pilgrimage," the story has no title--that I ought to get back to.

It's. I have a lot of WIPs. I'm a mess.

Which one are you finding the hardest to finish?

For some reason, the ghost AU interludes. Fully stuck on those. I suppose it's because they're meant to be quieter and happier, giving everyone a break, when the mood for the series as a whole is so tense.

What does it usually look like when inspiration strikes for you?

Often like frustration, if work is busy and I can't immediately turn to my personal computer and start jamming. If I do have the time, though, and inspiration is really striking, what it looks like is "I have finished this fic in two days flat and it's gotten to the point where I'm driving my partner and child up a wall because I can't think about anything else." I've gotten better about remembering to eat, though!

Do you curate playlists for each fic or is your process different?

No, not at all--I have one big playlist of songs and another, slightly smaller playlist of instrumental tracks, and I just listen to those for everything. Occasionally I'll make a playlist for a fic after it's written, but almost never during, because the process of playlist creation itself tends to be fairly similar to the process of actually writing the fic for me, so I don't want to divert that energy when I've got a story to get out. If I'm really desperate to concentrate I put on Bach's Art of Fugue, or a Cocteau Twins album.

EDIT: oh wait I do have one but it's. Like. It's not a playlist, it's for the WenZhou ghost story thing, Wen Kexing is working at least partially as a nightclub singer, so I had to work out his setlist for the first scene of the story. That's kind of a different thing but it seemed relevant.

Do you go balls to the wall and write as you go or are you more organized?

I prefer to be organized, but I can and do write things down as I think of them--often in a special section of a story file reserved for snippets, which is also where I put scenes or moment that I have to cut.
