“You’re so cold,” Fang Duobing says as he pours him a fresh cup of tea, the brush of his hands warming him in ways the blankets will not. “I wish Li Lianhua had left more instructions.” He looks so distressed, Di Feisheng thinks hazily. It’s ridiculous - he’s hardly Li Lianhua, withering away like a plucked flower, and he’s suffered through so much worse besides - and yet the pup is acting like he’s dying on his watch.  This is nothing. He’s just-- cold. Very cold. Colder than he was as an orphan on the streets, shivering in threadbare robes and not yet knowing how to start a fire. Colder than when the sea had claimed him ten years ago, icy and biting down to his bones. Di Feisheng curls further into himself - the dampness of his hair is not helping, soaking into the fabric wrapping his back, and neither is the stray breeze he can feel make its way through Lotus Tower. Every shiver feels like it’ll shatter him into pieces, like ice on the ground. It’s nothing. He just has to wait it out.

I've decided to make a lot of posts on patreon released to the public/free because I think most everyone who subscribes is just doing it for the stickers and bookmarks and to support me, not for early access to posts. This also means I can just copy paste on the same day to tumblr which is a little easier for me.

I actually decided the pastel store bought bookcloth looked a bit too plain and added metal corner pieces in gold. As mentioned, the end pages are hand-marbled by me and not the best, but it's important to me to try using the things I make even if they're not perfect.

The illustration is by @velinxi on twitter, used with permission for human_alias' typeset, which I had permission from both to print.

It was strange but fun using someone else's typeset; I don't usually do that, but this caught my eye. Especially the illustrations!

And we all know I'm a sucker for acernor fics.

This book is what converted me to the 50% pva/wheat starch paste church because I glued down the end pages with pva like usually and had to destroy it to adjust it. When mixing pva with paste, it takes longer to dry and you have more time to adjust. Highly recommend.

Although I love the gold corner pieces I've designed a cover art to do in gold vinyl. Usually I do the vinyl before casing the book in because it's easier (ironing a flat rectangle vs ironing a book) but that's how this turned out. Acernor liked the cover design I came up with so I'll be doing that soon.

Mo Dao Zu Shi/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation adaptions

It’s a little disheartening in the danmei fandom sometimes, seeing all these upcoming adaptions constantly delayed or put on hiatus. But it makes me feel so lucky as an MDZS fan that we have so many adaptions, not only made to completion, but made so well! We get to experience the story over and over in so many ways. For me it was the donghua. I saw clips of it back in 2018 and it looked interesting. I didn’t watch it till 2019 when season 2 was about to air, an online friend told me it was a adapted from a BL novel and that I HAD to read it! I’m so glad she did. 💗

A massive mane, black and cinnabar, does nothing to hide the glowing red eyes and demonic mark on his forehead, right between the huge curling horns that jut from his brow. His snarling jaw unhinges to reveal long curving fangs; his plumed tail lashes.

Since we all know wife-plots could have practically been anything, as long as we can bend it into a Papapa scenario or papapa-adjacent that has Luo Binghe being his protagonist self;

Would there have ever been a wife-plot that required communication with an isolated demon tribe, who spoke a different language? Whether either Bingge had to papapa its leader to learn the language or gain a wife by flirting with the translator?

Because I'm Bilingual, I like projecting that — so I propose: LQG having Spanish/a dialect of it as a secondary/home language.

Like, he won't talk in it outside, but with his sister or when he's visiting family — it's just pure Spanish.

Just to have LQG as the accidentally-convinient translator, who's half trying to help and half trying to (subtly) get people to back off from Binghe because that's a married man.

And no, he will not acknowledge the fact he's also someone that's interested in this married couple — atleast he has the necessary shame to keep it hidden, unlike others.
