This is my second attempt at painting this painting of Misaki Shokuhou. Aside from giving it another try at painting her, I also made a few edits to her outfit using the anime as reference for her outfit. Overall, it looks much better now.

A Certain Magical Index Season 1 Review

If you're looking for a fun and action-packed anime with a mix of magic and science, you might want to check out A Certain Magical Index Season 1. It's a show that follows the adventures of Touma Kamijou, a high school student with a special power that can negate any supernatural phenomenon, and Index, a mysterious nun who has 103,000 magical books stored in her brain. Together, they get involved in various conflicts between the factions of magicians and espers in the city of Academy City. The show has a lot of cool fights, interesting characters, and some hilarious moments. It also explores some themes like religion, morality, and friendship. The animation and music are pretty good too. The only downside is that the plot can get confusing at times, and some of the arcs are not very well-developed. But overall, it's a fun and enjoyable watch that will keep you entertained for 24 episodes.

Alec and Clary hating each other's guts in cob is iconic & funny but what makes it so much funnier is how quickly they get over it. by the epilogue they're both like "I feel so bad about all the mean & completely untrue things I said to you and for being really shitty/shoving you against a wall/nearly causing you to die :( im so sorry. anyway, let's never tell Jace any of this k?" and then proceeded to never acknowledge any of it again. by coa it's like it never happened at all. like it doesn't even get a mention in their inner monologues or anything. the one time it does come up is in tftsa due to Simon's incomplete memories & him being under the impression Alec doesn't like Clary. and when he brings it up to Alec his immediate response is this

like I'm obsessed with their dynamic, nobody's doing it like them

Also the fact he said the literal Angel reminded him of Jace ksksks. Simon talks about Jace’s good looks the same way the fandom does HAHAH

It’s so amusing to me when characters within comics use the fun-trivia-for-fans maps. Like technically that’s a perfectly good canon map. But when Jim Gordon uses it he feels like a tourist to me.

It’s more funny when it’s shown on a computer though. You’re telling me Oracle and Batman have super highly sophisticated computers but the maps of Gotham on those computers use a numbered legend, instead of anything more technologically efficient and helpful?
