╰┈➤ ❝ [ Admiration ] ¡! ❞
After the past years of schoolyears, you swore to never again make friends or even try anything to get attention on yourself. The plan for the remaining years is to just disappear like a ghost.
Not again, you wont open your heart, you will never let anyone in.
You wont go through another betrayal, you wont get picked on again, you wont ever let anyone hurt your heart anymore.
But ah, the way your heart stopped when you saw a tall guy with dashing ebony locks, his lazy grey eyes, a sharp angled jawline as if carved out by god's hands and a physique so perfect he might as well drop off of highschool and become an idol.
He felt your gaze from the other side of the classroom and his grey eyes would sweep towards yours— Instinctively making you avert your gaze from him.
Your heart is racing, it's suffocating, it doesn't feel pleasant.
It doesn't feel pleasant.
It does not.
So like a little a coward, you purposely started avoiding Jinwoo. You never try to meet his gaze, nor have you ever tried to be next to you.
The feeling in your heart is just so unpleasant. You don't know why, but Jinwoo's presence is making your heart race.
You thought it was just anxiety really, but secretly you studied Jinwoo's face when he wasn't looking.
Look down on the paper on your desk,
And start sketching.
You really don't know why you're doing this, perhaps it is to figure out just why he makes your heart race so much, to figure out why he just seems so... Different in a way.
Is it the way he talks? The way he carries himself? The way he seems just so... Unique?
What is it really? What makes him so different?
How can he make your heart squeeze itself like it felt like you're dying? How can he make you so fidgety even just bypassing by him?
You memorized the way his hair behaves, the way his clothes move along with him, the way his alluring grey eyes seemed to have a language of their own.
A language that makes you feel so lightheaded.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖
Jinwoo had always known your little gaze on him, and he grew curious about it. You're always hovering somewhere near him, but not too near. When he comes close even by just 20 steps— You scramble and run away like a kitten.
Cute.
Just like he was in your eyes, you were in his.
Not romantically, at least, not yet.
He heard small rumours about you here and there, how you were bullied in the previous years. Jinwoo couldn't get the details, and though he can in a heartbeat— He chose not to pry into your private life.
You weren't attempting to stalk him on that level, so he wont neither.
He'll let you hang around him, you're a harmless little kitten who doesn't meow after all.
It's no big deal.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖ ࣪
"You ready, hyung?" His teammate says as they all prepare on the trakcs for their daily training.
"Of course" Jinwoo hums.
Truthfully, he's bored, deathly bored.
When everyone thinks he is running like a damn road runner; he feels as if he is going on a walk.
Not even a jog.
A damn walk.
But he has to.
He passes by you and like a cliche, romance novel— The wind blows towards your hair and your strands toussle while your eyes are just focused on the journal in front of you.
Charming.
It was absolutely charming, you looked like you didn't belong here.
Jinwoo though in that split second that you should be in front of a canvas instead, inside of an atelier wearing an apron with a palette on your hand.
He momentarily looses his focus before hearing his teammates running behind him and he snaps back to it.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖ ࣪
Page after Page after Page.
All of the pages are just full of him, only him.
Only Jinwoo.
It was only until you counted fifty pages of just Jinwoo that you realize that you in fact, are in love with him.
But why though?
Of all the cute guys and older oppas in the school— You're specifically attracted to Jinwoo?
There's just something... Magical about him. You've always love the prettier and mystical things, you love to live in a dream.
Perhaps its a coping mechanism you developed after all the bullying and mocking you went through in your previous years.
Reality is a sad, sad place.
It's dark and gloomy, the only pretty place sin this twisted hell are the flowers growing in the cracks.
The thought of having feelings for Jinwoo honestly brought a shiver down your spine. After all, you swore to never open your heart and let someone in.
But somehow, that tiny, tiny little box in your heart had Jinwoo containing it.
It's alright.
It'll past. It's just another little crush. Another infatuation.
This is normal, you're a teenaged girl.
But god, days turned into weeks.
And each time you would fall for him more and more.
It's torture, you don't know how to voice out your feelings. You don't know how to keep this overwhelming endearment under lock and key.
Isn't this supposed to be just a little crush?
If so, how come your control over yourself is slipping? Is this even infatuation at this point?
If its not infatuation, then what is it?
With a pen and paper in hand, you started jotting down stuff.
Mind as well make a little love letter.
Cheesy? Of course.
But it's going to be anonymous so surely it's fine.
Maybe if you do this, your feelings will be gone if you see him throw the letter away.
Crumple.
Crumple.
Crumple.
The sound of crumpled papers filled your room for the whole night.
You have to make the perfect love letter
You need to make the perfect love letter.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖ ࣪
You were going to sneak up into the classroom in wee early hours of school. Jinwoo is an early bird in school, soyou had to be even earlier.
As you shuffled around in your feet, you instinctively hid behind the bushes.
You can hear Jinwoo's voice.
And another girl's voice.
You swear its him, you were eavesdropping but the words werent registering.
The only thing you are realizing is that Jinwoo has... A gentler tone. His voice isnt bored. Not lazy, just... A little soft.
You had always been very focused on voices, you managed to pick up on even the slight shift on tones because it was your way to dtermine if people are fooling you or mocking you passive-agressively.
The more you listened, the more you felt hopeless.
It was then you realized Jinwoo must have some thing with another girl.
And you honestly... Felt awful, you felt terrible.
Because how dare you make a love letter to someone else's man?
How dare you like someone's man?
How dare you?
No wonder you are all alone, no wonder you are betrayed by your friends, no wonder you were bullied.
You're a fucking freak.
Jinwoo's affections will never be yours, it will never be bestowed upon your pitiful soul.
You're ugly, you're a worthless, piece of shit that is unloved.
So knock it off already, bastard.
So carefully you crawl away, making sure not to step on any leaves or make any rustle as you scurry away.
You then throw the carefully made envelop on the bin and go up the classroom.
while your lonely, sad letter in the bin— Faded into black shadows.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖ ࣪
"I'll pick you up after you club," Jinwoo said, ruffling his sister's head who whined in response.
"No, I will go out with my friends after for a crepe!" Jinah whines, stomping. "Oppa, knock it off!"
"Does mom know?" He inquires, amused at his sister's stubborness.
"Yeah, and so does dad!" Jinah beams. "Let me go, yeah?"
"Fine," Jinwoo rolls his eyes. "Don't come home after dark, if you do, call me"
Jinah would only pout, but nods her head as her brother shooed her away.
Jinwoo would watch his sister go to the nearby middle school, smiling softly as Jinah sees her friends and runs to her friends.
"My king," Beru's tiny little head appears beside him, "My liege's muse has thrown a letter"
"Hm?" He perks up in curiousity, holding his hand up to receive the discarded letter. "Huh. How cute."
Jinwoo hummed, turning the envelope over to admire the intricately designed envelope that was a scrapbook paper folded so expertly.
He then opens the thing carefully, to which Jinwoo felt like he was opening a letter from hundreds of years ago because it had a wax seal on it.
Instantly, a refreshing scent would waft through his nose.
It was your scent.
Not that you sprayed the paper with cologne, it's just that Jinwoo has a bloodhound nose and can pick up your scent anywhere.
Carefully, he unfolds the paper that was written in classic cursive.
My dear, sweet star I wonder which dream you have come from How so do you capture my heart with no effort? I can never know, I would never find out My heart aches for you, It is painful and unpleasant But also not so painful You're like a delicate twinkling thing on my dark night sky So close and yet so far You are of another world from Of another reality But how is it that my heart yearns for yours? Your grey eyes akin to a benevolent god's gaze, I find myself lost in them, And in those grey eyes I beg to be drowned in, The abyss I will willingly throw myself into May I love you? May I be allowed to hold these feelings for you? My dear beloved star, May I be selfish just this once and keep you in the small box in my heart? In this world full of madness and woe, Your gentle, sweet and pleasant presence gives me mercy Perhaps you are an angel Or a fleeting snowflake passing by O dear, beloved star Linger in my gaze a little while longer Live in my life for just a bit more Let me love you for quite a bit more
Underneath the poem was a sketch of Jinwoo, a delicately made one. The hunter's face was red to the very tip of his ears. He has never once received a love letter, okay maybe he did when he was in the future but not at this age and with this much effort. It even had a little artwork of him and it made Jinwoo bashful like he is an actual teenage boy.
"God..." Jinwoo groans, scratching the back of his nape as he felt... So fluffy. "You're so cute it's driving me mad"
He continues to sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.
It's obvious you're going to continue avoiding him for quite a while. Between you and him, he was the man.
And what is a man to do?
He does the pursuing.
With a deep sigh and a rosy hue on his cheeks as looks up at the sky;
"Your star? Sure." He smiles as the wind blows in his direction. "If I'm your star, you'll be my goddess."

꒰ A/N: I'm so sorry for being selfish I just cant help myself xDDD!!! I havent written in so long so this is very clumsy and terrible srry guys hahahah!!! But man,,,, I lovee my woowoo so much<33 ꒱

What a about Caliborn makes him so cool in your opinion?
Go keep track of his progression as an artist alongside his development as a character and think about how these are intrinsically linked. Ponder the fact that he is both at his most obnoxious and at his most amateur when trying to ignore his unique style explicitly brought on by his canonical learning disability and mimic others rather than truly be himself. Consider how his explorations of art are genuinely cool, not a bad thing, and how we get some really neat multimedia stuff out of it.
Caliborn may be a shitty little teenage wretch but the way he is portrayed as an artist and as a disabled person is both really good and very real. It comes from a place of love. His learning disability is handled with a degree of gentle care that you would not really expect from Hussie. The place Caliborn's art style ends up in is so fucking sick and I actually unironically love it. The technique he uses is really interesting. It's intentionally reminiscent of an Etch-a-Sketch, and I'm a little obsessed with it.
This is so fucking good. I mean this seriously. He's right - that is some Pure Art Skill.
I just love the way art is employed as a necessary component of his character arc. It's so neat. You don't see visual cues that intricate too often. Usually it's just in character design, but watching his entire art style and even his medium of choice change several times over is fascinating. You can really tell Hussie had a lot of fun with him. He's also just really, really fucking funny. Just about every sentence that comes out of his mouth is Grade A Absolute Fucking Gold, and I'm honestly obsessed with his dynamic with Dirk. This may get me thrown to the wolves, but I personally think Dirk and Caliborn have way more chemistry than Dirk and Jake. Maybe that's because we actually see Dirk and Caliborn interact on screen... Lmao.
Necessary Topic: I don't know why people hate him so much. Like, I understand hating his misogyny and fatphobia, sure, but those are deliberate character points and not just Hussie-isms. I see people act like Caliborn is indicative of Hussie, as if Homestuck-era Hussie wasn't, like, famously really fucking good at writing female characters and absolutely not a misogynist. Caliborn's a parody of Homestuck Anti-Fans - which is a term we really ought to bring back, god, anti-fans are absolutely still a thing and good lord they're everywhere - who really were just shitty little bigoted haters. Calliope, the opposite side of his coin, was representative of, essentially, "the best kind of Homestuck fan" - an ultimately sweet young teen girl who willingly dedicates almost all of her time to this piece of fiction she loves so, so much, who draws a lot of fan art for the joy of it all, has OCs that don't fit any of the design conventions in Homestuck whom she pairs with the characters in it for innocent fun. Someone who has a lot of theories and analyses, writes a lot of fanfic, and is genuinely just having a lot of fun. Everyone loves Calliope. Even the characters in Homestuck love Calliope. They just think she's the cutest, sweetest little thing they ever did see. Caliborn was the worst kind. He sucks on purpose. No one likes him. He is a total nuisance to characters he is by all means trying to impress. I love them both.
It's also just funny that he's a canonical Intersex Transmasc who is probably Gay and this has, like, no relevance to anything about him, really. So no one really talks about it. Gender Hilarious, Gender Nefarious.

Rhiannon would LOVE a woman with an accent I’m from a country where we have a very distinct way of speaking so if Rhiannon’s crush (read:stalker victim) had an accent (any type) she’d blushing like crazy, she’d ask the reader questions that require long and complicated answers just to hear her crush speak
yes! yes, yes yes!! as a person whose first language isn’t english either, i‘m gonna use this as an opportunity to hashtag project 😛
rhiannon would go absolutely HAM for a woman (or a person in general!!) with an accent!!
i just know she would be obsessed with the voice of her stalker victim crush in general. so if there’s something that makes it even more special and unique, whether that is an accent or a lisp or anything of the sort, rhiannon would go craaaazy!!
the first time she hears you speak she would actually lose it: she’s only half listening the actual words you’re saying, too focused on the sound of your voice. there’s this dreamy, wide-eyed look she gets when you start talking, and if you ask her a direct question, it’s like she has to remember how to speak.
from this point forward, she’s grinning like an idiot every time she hears you. rhiannon always has a hundred questions prepared just to keep you talking! when she really wants to hear your accent, she’ll “forget” something in the middle of a sentence just so you’ll jump in and fill in the blanks for her. if she’s your coworker she’ll constantly forget instructions on purpose, just to ask you to repeat them, claiming she couldn’t quite catch what you said the first time. when, in reality, she’s just stalling to hear your voice a little longer.
rhiannon replays every voicemail and voice note you leave her obsessively, sometimes until her phone battery is absolutely drained. every time she hears you saying even the simplest things, like “call me back”, she’ll get so giddy. she purposely spam calls you anonymously when she knows you’ve got your phone turned off, just to hear the mailbox.
she spends hours online looking up phrases and slang from your country and starts using them in conversations with you. the way she exaggerates the expressions is so ridiculous that you have to stifle a laugh…and she’s convinced she’s got you charmed.
ALSO! she’s lowkey started developing a fascination with your country!! watching movies and shows from your country and all!! rhiannon who finds your fucking letterboxd account and creates her own just so you’ll see all the movies from your country that she’s seen!
same with the music, too! when i’m telling you she’d be obsessed!! she starts listening to artists or genres that are popular in your country, casually mentioning her “new favorite song” to see if you’ll get excited. if you offer to make her a playlist, she’ll light up.
girlfriend!rhiannon who’s obsessed with your accent, anyone?? when she’s getting sleepy (pushing the sleepy rhiannon agenda again) she’ll nestle up to you and whisper ridiculous phrases in her best (and awful) imitation of your accent, just to hear you giggle or groan!!
girlfriend!rhiannon who’ll lean in a little too close and stare at your lips when you’re talking, pretending to be focused, when really she’s too caught up savoring the way you say each word. It’s distracting, incredibly distracting, and she knows it.
girlfriend!rhiannon who loves the way you say her name! she prefers it over any pet name. she’s so fascinated by how you say it that sometimes she’ll drop hints just to get you to say it more. hearing her own name in your accent makes her heart flutter, and she’s definitely not subtle about how much she loves it <3

I'm usually irritated by the people sneering about fanfic insisting it is just intrinsically inferior to early modern writers raiding Ovid or Chaucer or the news or each other or whomever. I've never seen anyone have a decent rationale beyond early modern writing is intrinsically Art and fanfic is intrinsically Not Art, because of reasons (the artistic purity of working within early modern patronage and censorship, I guess?).
I'm not talking Shakespeare specifically (though Lear <3). He was by no means alone in borrowing characters and plots from previous sources and then doing his own thing with them. A lot of my favorite plays of the time re-purpose established stories in this way.
But also, it comes around to kind of funny when people are not only insisting that fanfic is definitionally Not Art and in some way totally different from the usual kind of borrowing that goes back millennia, but also that fanfic is somehow morally degenerate and harmful and unhinged in a new and shocking way.
Because if early modern English literature is defined by anything, it's being absolutely fucking unhinged.
I mean! The Revenger's Tragedy?? The White Devil (borrowed directly from the murder headlines)??? My best beloved 'Tis Pity She's a Whore (pretty obviously a spin on Romeo and Juliet But Now With Incest and Even More Murder)? These things are batshit. And fantastic! I love them! But holding them up on some pedestal of artistic and moral purity is just bizarre IMO.
There are differences between what they did and contemporary fanfic because we live in different eras and cultures, in some ways radically so, because copyright and intellectual property work so differently now and have affected storytelling so much, because of the effects of things like genre romance and the Internet and AO3, because patronage and censorship now work very differently in a lot of ways, because educations and literary norms are so different, and so on.
But is fanfic in some way uniquely trashy and shocking by contrast to what those men were thinking up? Nah.
#y'all act like a mildly edgy au is the herald of the literary end times and meanwhile several centuries ago#you've got playwrights going 'you know what would be fucked up? because i've got a GREAT idea'#i'm thinking of that quote about austen - 'you could not shock her more than she shocks me'#and i feel it's very accurate for a lot of early modern playwrights too#like you think fanfic would shock john ford? lmao#anghraine babbles#long post#fanfiction#early modern blogging#general fanwank

I read that fabulous centennial husbands big bang story about Hob marking the years between his meetings with his stranger by tying knots in a piece of string and it gave me a though -- instead of knots in string Hob cuts hash marks into his skin to count the years btw meeting with his stranger. Scarification to mark the time until he gets to see his stranger again.
Yes, Hob is fantasticly immortal and wounds don't stay, but Hob has found if he makes the mark or intends for the mark to stay, then it does. So he starts marking himself to count his hundred years:
1489 - left arm;
1589 - right arm;
1689 - left foot to knee;
1789 - right foot to knee;
1889 - left knee to upper thigh/groin;
1989 - right knee to upper thigh/groin; and
2089 - starting up his left side (groin to armpit)
His marks are the only thing he's sure will stay. He's developed a ritual for it - he cuts with special knife specifically for that purpose; and as he travels the world he's found that if he gets his scars tattooed in the old school way - with sharp rock and ink, that stays too.
So that when Dream and Hob finally get together, Hob's body is a sensory feast for Dream - the braille of Hob's devotion.
Trigger Warning for the act of cutting the body - could be potentially triggering for self harm survivors.
So I'm going to freely admit that I know absolutely nothing about scarification, and I'm one of those annoying people who can genuinely pass out at the mere mention of blood or injuries. BUT I am fascinated by body modification and the impact it would have on an immortal body. So let's give this a go!
At first, the marks are not very pretty to look at. Hob doesn't know what he's doing. There's no real pattern or consistency to the marks. But as the decades, then the centuries pass, Hob becomes a proper artist. He makes intricate designs on his skin. Each mark becomes part of a bigger picture, which is growing across his body with every passing year. There are flowers and leaves, stars and shapes and waves. He generally covers up the art on his body - he has, after all, made himself extremely unique and identifiable. But despite the risk, he sometimes sits in the sun with his body on display. It's like a message to his stranger, wherever he is. That Hob is still patiently waiting.
And after more than a hundred years with no stimulus at all, when he finally comes back, Dream is obsessed with the texture of Hob’s body. He touches it constantly when they're together, like a reassurance that the world is no longer cold, smooth glass. It's warm flesh, indented with promises. It's proof that somebody thought of him and forgave him. It's love, really. Love that Hob is proud to wear on his skin for every day of his very, very long life.
He can't wait for Dream to be beside him, when they make the next mark together.

OTP
oooooh, tough call. I go through ships like I go through fun outfits, so I don't have super strong OTPs most of the time. We're gonna give this one to a tie, for balance between fun and tragedy. Tuggofelees is super fun and I love it dearly, they're just fun guys to play around with. Orphydice, on the other hand, is an absolute tragedy that rips my heart out, and is the One True Pairing of its story. I don't really interact with it in a shippy way, but I love them and the entire story so they're going in here
(Rum Tum Tugger/Mistofelees, Cats) + (Orpheus/Eurydice, specifically in Hadestown)
2. OT3
Hitter Hacker Thief, no contest. I love a lot of poly ships, but these three are far and away my favorite darlings. It's the banter, and the absolute trust, and "till my dying day," I just love them. They're all so weird and spiky in their own ways, and they manage to fit together so so well.
((Eliot/Hardison/Parker, Leverage)
9. Write a recommendation of someone else's fic you enjoyed
oooooh! Gonna do two, and reach outside of my standard fandoms
One from my Ao3 bookmarks that is very far from any fandom I'm actually part of, but was so damn good that I still go back and reread it regularly anyways: 257 Years of Unanswered Correspondence with an Ardat-Yakshi Monastery. It's a Mass Effect fic by mylordshesacactus, companion piece to Nightwish (also very good!) by the same author. It makes me bawl my eyes out every single time I read it, without fail. It's an epistolary in the form of exactly what the title says: 257 years of messages sent by an Asari woman to a former classmate, with no response. It's painful, reflective of real world issues around disability and illness through a sci-fi lens, and so deeply hopeful. The line that stuck with me most, and makes me cry thinking about it, will not have its impact without the context of the full story, so I'm not going to quote it and will just say that it is very much worth reading to go find it yourself.
A true classic: Sansukh by determamfidd, a Hobbit fic. It's over 570k words of inter-generational trauma, love, kingly guilt, and amazing female dwarfs. Set in the dwarven afterlife with views into the living world during the events of the War of the Ring. The relationships between characters are the selling point here, they're written with depth, genuine care, and unique complexities to each one. Bagginshield is the main focus ship, but the importance of familial relationships and how they effect people is the main theme.
13. Character/ship you haven't created for yet but would like to
Hmm. I'm not really an author or artist, I mostly just write spontaneous essays while talking with friends, so I guess I'd like to find someone I can subject to my Leverage essay brain for character dissection purposes (I am so normal about them all). I've also had a cosplay planned but not created for Rose Red from the Mechanisms universe for a while, so I'll put her in here as well. I love her whole deal a lot, and I think being her (visually) would fix me for a bit.
22. Headcanon for Cori & Tanto
My beloveds!!! Gonna go with a simple and sweet one today. They live with an old woman and her young wiccan grandaughter, and when the grandaughter is having a bad time and doing her own rituals to try to make things better, they'll slip a little of their magic in to make the things she's doing the ritual for happen faster and better than they might otherwise. She doesn't know that's happening, but grandma definitely does and slips them a little extra treat when they help.

So what's your LEAST favorite pigment?
oooooh... let me see.
i don't think i have any one particular pigment that i dislike ALL of the time—watercolor can be temperamental, and the difference between using a transparent vs opaque color really can change the entire experience. they even dry differently, depending on what color you're using and with what materials. i can't really speak to oils or acrylics though since i've only used those in passing. (i do want to get into oils at some point... it's a gorgeous medium.)
if i absolutely had to pin down a specific pigment or pigment type that i don't particularly enjoy using myself, it... miiight be the cadmiums? yellow, red, orange, it doesn't matter. i know a lot of artists love them to death and they're even a staple on a lot of palettes, but the opacity and toxicity of them just puts them lower down on the list of the pigments i would usually reach for. (as long as you aren't eating them or inhaling the pigment itself handling cadmiums is usually okay-ish, but i prefer to err on the side of caution.)
that's not to say that i outright hate them, i've used them once or twice. but if i have an alternative to cadmium red (pr108) on hand like pyrol red (pr254) or something, i'd rather reach for that. especially since it can make cleaner mixes! (colors that are really opaque tend to get muddy easier, which is also the reason people hear 'don't mix with white, just dilute it' all the time. pyrol red is still opaque, but yk.)
for a while, cadmiums and the like were the only way you could get really true, lightfast and vibrant colors of whatever category they occupied, but there are so many other alternatives now that i find fun to explore and more comfortable to work with.
that said, it makes more sense in general to just play it by ear and see what colors speak to you. pr206 isn't exactly a perfect all-purpose mixing red, but that doesn't stop it from being one of my favorite colors of all time lol. and warmer reds do have a much smaller selection than cooler toned reds do!
(also, not a huge fan of colors that are incredibly hard to rewet, like true viridian (pg18) or potters pink (pr233) even if i do find their shades delicately pretty and really unique. working with them can be frustrating if you aren't using them directly from the tube. some brands are better about that than others though! and both of those are kind of bad examples anyway bc i think they're gorgeous when allowed to granulate on cold or rough press paper, in mixes or on their own.
ultramarine blue (pb29) sometimes has a similar issue actually, but the color is so intense that it remains a staple for me anyway lol. sucker for certain classics ig.)
#ney's art tips (art questions)#ney's chatter (ask answers)#a lot of companies try to find alternatives to cadmiums in their professional lines these days#which is interesting#especially since they tend to be such expensive pigments and some artists seek them out intentionally depending on their style#but that's kind of the cool part about things like this. people have their own chosen tools of the trade that work for their own methods#just because i don't reach for cadmiums personally (for both my wallet and my love of transparent colors) doesn't make them bad altogether#all of you just indulging my ancient pigment fixation you're really so sweet ;;

This is kinda sorta but not really a confession. I just want to put this out there anonymously because I try really hard not to be super mushy gushy on main. And it's something I think everyone should know... kinda.
Freakblr is my favorite place on the internet. I really love it here. This tumblr fandom makes me so happy. The small little community, the close knit group. This blog, and several other gimmick blogs. Just the general vibe.
And there's an overall lack of toxicity here. Like sure we have our moments. Every fandom and online space does. But it's always handled well. And we stay pretty wholesome here most of the time.
I love all of the art creators on here. We've got some seriously talented artists. Like sometimes I look at some of the tmf art on Freakblr and just want to eat it (this is the highest compliment. If your art looks like it'd taste good, that's real talent right there).
Each gimmick blog with there own unique way of typing and their own purpose just makes me smile. Like the lore here is crazy and wonderful and just my absolute favorite thing ever.
Also this blog? Wonderful. I love this specific space! The TMF confessions page feels like a restaurant we all come to daily to chit chat and hang out and catch up and see everyone else's opinions. It's the resident hang out spot here. I love it. And it's genuinely a great place, this blog. And the owner is just as amazing. They work so hard to collect and post our confessions, and they do such a good job.
And even each individual blog is so important to me. Like you, all the people who make up Freakblr and this fandom. Everyone here is so kind and creative and going to do amazing and wonderful things in this life and the next. We're a community brimming with light. And I love it.
Logging on and seeing all of you daily just puts a huge smile on my face. Knowing what a beautiful, apeshit-crazy, tight community we have here is something that gives me joy everyday. every single person who contributes, no matter how much, has really helped to build this up. And I think you all deserve to feel and be appreciated.
Again, sorry to be all sappy and stuff. But it's just something that's been on my mind for a while, that I wanted to put out there. Because you all deserve to know how precious this place is. And how wonderful you all are.
AWWWWWEEE I'M SO GLAD U FEEL THIS WAY ABT FREAKBLR AND MY BLOG THIS IS SO SWEET
#tmf#the music freaks#rosyclozy#freakblr#i'm so sorry for not responding to y'alls confessions guys...#school has been kicking my ahh

A Guide to The Cure Epilogue
So now that I've listened to and written about every mainline Cure album, giving recommendations on whether or not you should listen, it's about time I made it all a little more palatable. That was the purpose of this series to begin with after all. So if you're interested in listening to The Cure, but don't know where to start, this is the perfect post for you, because I'll be giving you three different roadmaps depending on what you want from the band.
"I want to listen to pretty much everything"
If you really want to dive deep into the band's discography, you're gonna need to break it down a bit if you don't have a project like this to keep you motivated. Even if you aren't bothered about paying close attention to the music and are happy for it to be on in the background, it's probably going to be a multi-day thing even if you're very dedicated, so it can get overwhelming without some sort of anchor. So here are my suggested roadmaps for those of you who want to swim the same deep water as me:
As you can see, I recommend the first album most people listen to is Disintegration. Maybe a more specific type of person would be better suited to a different album for starters, but for most people I'd say not only is this The Cure at their best, but it's also a very good tonal intersection of the band's most prolific sounds.
From there, you might want something poppier, or something darker, and for each of those desires I've laid out a unique path you can take. To be clear, the more gothic path starts with the most recommendable album for a fan of gothic music, not the next most gothic album from Disintegration. Same with the poppier section. That means that it isn't really possible to use this guide fluidly, switching from path to path, but of course, it's a resource, so you can absolutely gauge how much I recommend an album based on this guide and take things into your own hands to shake it up.
I also just want to again point out how difficult I find it to recommend Wild Mood Swings to anyone. It was rough. Genuinely one of the most bafflingly bad musical experiences I've had. It genuinely has a place in my musical hall of pain. And that is subjective, but even thinking more objectively about who might enjoy it outside of that, I can not for the life of me figure out who it is that likes that album. If you've already listened to everything else and either absolutely loved even your least favourite album or just have a little masochistic curiosity about it, I guess I'd hesitantly say give it a try, but under no other circumstances would I recommend listening to Wild Mood Swings. I could write a whole post on how uniquely and punishingly bad that album is.
"I just want to listen to their best stuff"
This one is simple enough. If you're just trying to get a broad overview, I'd recommend 4 albums: The Head on the Door, Disintegration, Wish, and Pornography. I'd somewhat recommend them in that order, simply because I think that eases you into the less inviting sound of Pornography, but it's not that big of a deal if you listen outside of that order. Just be aware that Pornography is an acquired taste.
"I like Friday, I'm In Love"
Hey, me too!
As a bonus one, if the only thing you've really heard is Friday, I'm In Love or Boys Don't Cry and want to hear more like that, their poppier albums are The Head on the Door; Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me; and Wish. All of those albums have darker moments though, which should allow you to dip your toes in and see if it's for you. Remember, there's no shame in not connecting with something. Too often I see people trying to force themselves to enjoy something for one reason or another, but there will always be another band/artist that you can connect with more whose music will be a far better use of your time and passion. If you only like the hits here, take those and look for your next obsession elsewhere and don't think twice about it.
A parting note
So that's my guide to The Cure! They very quickly rocketed up my Last.fm most scrobbled artist after this project. I think they're 6th all of a sudden? Anyway, I hope someone has found it useful in one way or another. I don't want to make the mistake of making a commitment about what my next post will be, but I have a big series (even bigger than this) planned. Maybe the next post will be from that series, but more likely it'll be a one-off to prevent me from just going radio-silent while I work on that big project.
A final note before I leave this project behind for good: I know long-form content like this isn't the most consumable, and I'm competing with a ton of shorter, dopamine-inducing stuff for your attention, both on this site and others, and I've made an effort to make my stuff more consumable (for example, that's why this series has been split into parts as opposed to being one big post), but ultimately there's only so much I can cut down before it all becomes a bit pointless to me. So, if you're reading this, thanks for forgoing the dopamine for a second to make this worthwhile.
That's all I got. Now onto this new project that will probably keep me busy until the end of the year.

Hello!
I was watching random videos of Bts in the Tv and I notice something in this presentation of Jimin
https://youtu.be/iUSGpz8MvZw?si=EsLUyd8ejBd3J-F2
His shirt here is half white, but when I watched the video before I didn’t notice that for the whole song you can see his tattoo.
Someone said in another video how weird it was that the choreography included lifting his shirt on that side of the tattoo when his heart is on the other side. I saw another presentations with this song and they are different. His shirts are black and he doesn’t lift his shirt that much.
I mean it feels like he was dedicating that presentation to someone. It’s interesting to me. What are your thoughts?
Hi @sugayoujimin ! Thanks for the ask!
So, it’s a little hard to discuss Jimin’s Serendipity performances as a whole since we have so many examples and each one is unique. There are differences in what he’s wearing, how he performs each move, etc.
It’s hard to capture it all in one post, so I’ll just say this: yes, I think the sheer white shirt at an important performance late in the tour is definitely worth noting! Jimin is a smart person and he absolutely would have realized that his shirt made the tattoo particularly obvious on that day. Just like I believe he was very aware of his tattoo showing through the hole in his shirt in the SMF pt 2 music video. He’s an artist and he understands that these things have meaning and will be interpreted by fans.
As for Serendipity, the choreo evolves over time. In examples from early in the tour (August and Sept 2018), before he got the tattoo, he doesn’t lift his shirt at all. (You can look at the Sept 2018 performance in Oakland as an example.)
Beginning in November (approximately…I can’t say I have watched every performance!), once he has the tattoo, he begins lifting his shirt in a way that reveals that area of his chest/side.
The shirt lift is interesting because, like you mentioned, it’s on the opposite side from where his heart is located, plus this isn’t a typical “ab-reveal” shirt lift (like we see from Jk in the Fake Love choreo). Plus, he has to lift his shirt pretty high for the tattoo to be visible…and he makes sure to do that. Interesting!
What I think is significant is that there are really only a handful of times when Jimin purposefully shows us the tattoo. Sure, his shirt might accidentally fly up and we get a glimpse of it. But the first and most obvious times he showed us the tattoo were during his Serendipity performances. What is the purpose? Or is it a coincidence? I believe Jimin puts a lot of care into his art, so I tend to think it is not a coincidence. The song even states: “All this is no coincidence.” You can’t sing a line like that and then not pay attention to every detail of the performance, in my opinion.
I’m not sure if this answered your question, but I do see the shirt lift during a romantic song as a hint about the meaning of the tattoo itself.

Kawi is a perfect Cartoon Character filmed in BL
We were talking about comedy acting of gmm actors in our discord, and I understandably went on a rant about Krist's comedic performance in Be My Favorite (because his dramatic acting is good but he chose such a unique delicious comedy to give to Kawi, and I've been obsessed with it since the very first episode so let me bring it here too xD)
I was so surprised and intrigued when I saw Kawi in BMF, because in the beginning of the series Kawi looks funny. Unhinged. Unserious. AND IT DOES NOT LOOK CRINGE! (fight me)
For me it's something that's so easy to fuck up, and Thai comedies just love being silly-cringe on purpose (I'm sorry, I have to admit, I get second hand embarrassment often when watching unserious scenes in BLs). But Kawi. He's just. So excitingly funny for the viewers. Krist created his behavior with such a careful nuance, he gave us the first impression of Kawi so nicely, that a non-social immature main character who easily could get 'EW noo' reaction from viewers, is just a very adorable weird fool you can't help but keep watching to see in what kind of trash situations he'll end up.
I think here's a huge reason why: Kawi looks and feels like a cartoon character. I don't even know how Krist did it, I worked as 2d/3d animator and artist for some time in the past and I deliberately tried to make myself act like a cartoon character to film references for animation, so let me tell you – it's HARD xD
Disclaimer: i'm not big professional, just a freelancer so my terms might not be official, i'm just describing what i've learnt from professionals, these are basic things
I think Krist said it himself somewhere in bts that it was his deliberate choice and hard work but Kawi is absolutely animated in a very cartoonish way, but he also calms down and matures throughout the whole series, his movements become more gentle, fluid and less loud. It's such a difficult way to smoothly change the character and it's a hard work for the actor, if you consider that episodes and scenes aren't usually filmed chronologically.
The first episode of BMF is like the epitome of Kawi As Cartoon Character (remember Kawi stealing Pisaeng's clothes scene, the dancing, fighting the gangster, everything) and it works really great to establish that comedic introduction and fool us all into thinking this is just a silly comedic BL show and not a very complicated, profound and mature series as it turned out to be :D
I dissect for myself why this happens, what Krist makes:
Loud hyperactive movements (wide animated gestures, compared to all other characters behaving like adults in real world; think of Stage Persona and theatrics)
Action lines and curves (compare Pisaeng and Kawi on screenshots, think how Pisaeng would hold his hand out and look how Kawi is posing. Krist said they rehearsed poses in that scene a lot, and I really believe it. He stretches out arms a bit too far away, he bends more than usual person, he cranes his neck, he makes just perfect action lines throughout his whole body. When you want to make a cartoon character out of someone's photo, you exaggerate and smooth out posture so the motion would be felt, and Krist just does it in real life)
Fast movements ending up in an abrupt VERY ART-LIKE POSE, and quick change of sharp poses (it's a base rule for good artists to make characters have a clear pose, so you would be able to guess what's going on from only the silhouette). It's probably not a natural way to stand in front of the camera, but Krist often turns his body just enough to have very recognizable silhouettes (enhanced by directing from P'Waa probably)
He exaggerates emotions like a comic character as well; wide eyes, mouth, furrowed eyebrows or extreme pout; even his voice is loud, he shouts and yells louder than anyone else in the series. Of course, only when he's comfortable (with Pisaeng, with Magic Uncle, sometimes with Max). When Kawi isn't comfortable, Krist makes him small, roll into himself, speak quieter and softer, while still having cute gestures like fidgeting.
Cartoonish character compliments Kawi's childish behavior so well, it adds cuteness and stops viewers from rolling their eyes
KAWI LITERALLY IS ACCOMPANIED BY CARTOON SOUND EFFECTS IN THE SERIES, I mean - Pisaeng sometimes gets his sound effect of something breaking, u know like huh??, but if you listen, so many actions and gestures of Kawi are followed by various cartoon sounds. All the time. Even when he gets more mature and reaches zen, they are still present, just not as often.
And that dance? Might not be truly something cartoons would have, but it's so unhinged and quick and childishly weird, Kawi is almost literally operating at 24fps there, the flashing lighting helps a lot as well xD
(overall, think about famous tiktok videos of a girl acting like a disney character irl but if i'm not wrong, there's also a technique of slowing and speeding up the video/audio, and Krist simply acts like that in front of the camera. fascinating)
Krist's work on Kawi's comedic behavior is just chef's kiss, even if you didn't know the plot, just by seeing Kawi in random scenes, you'd know it's a whole character arc just reflected through the body. Which is, I guess, what acting is about xD But it is SO RARE to see for me in BLs and Thai's lakorns, and maybe I just don't watch a lot of comedy series but I'm extremely impressed with how great that cartoonish Kawi looks, from an artist point of view.
I think the other character from BLs close to this feeling would be Sky from Love in the Air. If you know others, please let me know!
#be my favorite#bmf#be my favourite#krist perawat#bmf meta#yeah now i want to rewatch bmf and finish writing everything i wanted before i got hit by a truck of fandom#kawi#i just really love how kawi acts when he's supposed to be young dumb and immature#idk if i can make you guys see idk if i have eyes trained on drawing fanarts and animating things but like IT'S THERE AND IT'S DIFFERENT#AND IT'S DELICIOUS#acting#thai bl#thai drama#thai actor#thai series#bl drama#krist#did anyone even need this post?#i don't care i'm obsessed with something and i'm ranting#krist is often praised by his acting by directors and fellow actors both in drama and comedy#but i'm in love with the way he incorporated cartoon behavior in his character IT IS NOT EASY GUYS#*i stand corrected i meant more sky than rain from lita who has similar traits in acting xD

Hey! would you recommend anything for someone wishing to make a dca au/blog? I have many ideas but also many anxiety
yeah - just go for it!!! post ur thoughts and headcanons into the void, see what resonates, and most importantly - have fun!
the fun thing about tumblr is that you can just kinda. fuck around and goof off and it's all good!
i personally love it when people just post little thoughts about au's they have, sometimes they elaborate, sometimes they don't, but it's still fun to see! it can inspire other people who might want to hop in and ask questions, or shyly point it in another direction asking "hey what about this? does this fit? would this be a neat path?" and it's so fun!!! sometimes it's nice to just throw an idea out there and see who it clicks with.
if you WANT notes, then just remember the first five tags on a post are the ones that are gonna show up in your search results. if your anxiety says "ooooh im not ready for that," then maybe spend the first four tags rambling, and then throw something like #fnaf or #fnaf dca in there for number 5, so that it still pops up but is a little harder to find. (i also absolutely recommend giving any au you talk about it's own unique tag for organization purposes, so that you can search for it on your blog later.)
general advice about having a fandom themed blog, tho - and thankfully, i haven't really seen this hardly at all in the dca fandom - SOMETIMES people are assholes who might come into your inbox and be shitheads about your headcanons or about ships you like. man, don't even bother with them! don't answer it, don't mull it over - delete it. you aren't obligated to answer asks, you can just toss 'em if they're mean or make you uncomfortable. and don't forget the block button, too!
that's about all i can think of off the top of my head! i used to try and keep my blog strictly to my own art/writing, but i'm having a lot of fun reblogging other people's art now and being able to yell at moots and artists in the tags. again - have fun!!!
thanks for the ask, anon, and i hope you have a blast with your fandom blog! (i hope i'll see it around sometime soon! <3)
#ask#Anonymous#fandom things#fandom blog#aus#yayayayayayayaya#this was such a sweet ask to receive like aklfjaklfj#thanks for coming to me i guess???#yo hit up the ask box again if you have another specific question :D#i love talking about this kind of stuff;;;#sinna babbles

director’s cut: any thoughts/general vibes about matty and george’s valentine’s cards? (inside and out)
Thank you for the ask! I would love to do more of these, so the initial post/prompt is here =) I'm also excited to talk about my WIPs, so feel free to ask.
Thoughts on the Valentine's Day cards!! I have so many. We'll start with general thoughts, then fictional!George's card to fictional!Matty, then fictional!Matty's to fictional!George.
I think that they'd both buy cards that made by local artists or from indie shops or something like that, so they'd be unique and fun. Obviously, they're both very heartfelt and sweet and moving, but they're both very anecdotal, as well, if that makes sense. Fictional!Matty keeps a running list of really nice things fictional!George does for him so he doesn't forget when he goes to write cards because it's like making a Christmas list (if you celebrate), where you've wanted things all year and as soon as it's time to actually ask for things you can never remember wanting a single thing ever. It's not that he's necessarily forgotten, it's that he'll agonize about it for ages.
The physical card fictional!George chooses for fictional!Matty would be kind of minimalistic, but he writes everything fictional!Matty needs to hear and is not above using extra pieces of paper if he has a lot to say. Fictional!Matty absolutely keeps the card. Fictional!George pretends like he doesn't know, but he purposely chooses cards that will hold up a little bit better because fictional!Matty keeps them.
Fictional!Matty's first instinct is to find a funny card, and he's absolutely jokingly given fictional!George cards with his own lyrics or face on them in the past, but this time he chooses a card that is in the same vein as the one fictional!George got. You know how people will make 'coupons' as gifts? I think Matty would have put something like that in his card to George and it would be like 'this entitles you to some piece and quiet,' or something. I think this particular incarnation of fictional!George would find it very amusing, but he'll use it.

V Random SKZ post
I watched a TT, I'm not posting it here, because I already know this person is probably gonna get dogpiled by rabid Stays, and I won't contribute to that, but I have so many thoughts and nowhere to share them. Their TT was about how they feel like SKZ and 3Racha have been coasting the last couple of years and they're not doing anything innovative and that they're not using Seungmin to his full potential, nor IN. But everything they bring up regarding the last couple of years is just their title tracks. Saying that the songs always a have a formula, that they've become predictable, and I do agree with that point...however, I believe it's intentional. Since....I would say Go Live (or God's Menu), I think that their title tracks have followed a formula. It's something I talked about on my own SKZ TT when RockStar, and also maybe 5 Star came out, when I did a first thoughts on those albums. Their title tracks, very much in the last 2-3 years, have felt like they are SKZ sort of playing the KPop game. These are the songs that need to catch a general audience, that's their purpose. They're intended for radio play, they're intended to hopefully win on music shows, to bring in new listeners. That is their purpose. That is the purpose of every title track by every artist in the industry, both KPop and western. It feels, to me, disingenuous to almost write them off because their title tracks don't push the limits enough, while ignoring their B-sides.
You want to talk about how their first few albums were no skips, but it seems like you're not even listening to the full albums they've put out in the last 2 years. I would argue that I think Miroh is one of their most cohesive albums musically and tonally, and it is certainly a no skips album. But I'd say that Maxident is also no skips. And you say they aren't being innovative, when Case 143 is one the most experimental songs they've done in terms of concept. It's a song that was VERY MUCH not the expectation after albums like Thunderous and Oddinary. And setting aside the title track, to look at the B-sides, you have unit songs, some of the most well known and well liked songs of that album, with 3Racha, Taste, and Can't Stop, which also have three DRASTICALLY different tones. Give Me Your TMI is almost the yin to Case 143's yang. Instead of showcasing the disbelief and confusion of falling in love like Case 143, you're instead seeing this full acceptance and desperation. Then look at songs like Chill and Super Board. Super Board's lyrics read like a mad lib, but the point and the purpose are still clear, that if you're focused on chasing them, you'll eventually be left to watch them soar. Chill follows in the proud tradition SKZ is known for of songs whose upbeat tone doesn't match it's devastating lyrics, talking instead about ending a relationship that was already over. Leaving aside Super Board and 3Racha, all of the songs on the albums address and express the varying different aspects and feelings of love that people might experience, giving nearly every person listening an entry point into emotionally connecting with any of those songs. And even if you're not at the level of seeking out the translated lyrics, the songs are still definitely a bop.
In regards to the misuse...or lack of use for Seungmin and IN. They've certainly created opportunities to allow both vocalists to shine and show different aspects of their talent. The SKZ Players and Records offer a unique opportunity for all of the members to showcase they're abilities and to experiment musically in a way that doesn't have to be 'approved' by JYPE the way that album tracks do. Is this the perfect solution? No. Wouldn't it be better/preferable for them to be able to showcase their skills on their regular albums? Absolutely. But they still have to play the game. I truly feel that only NOW, like right now, has SKZ reached a level of success where they have the leverage to take risks creatively. I think after their Kingdom win the reins were loosened a smidge, but they still had to tread carefully, and toe the company line. Following the records they were able to break this year and the opportunities and recognition they've received globally, I think they're now in a position where they have the leverage to start taking more risks. They've proven themselves. I really think this coming year we'll start to see even more creative risks being taken. And I think we'll see a different utilization of their vocals. We've seen them disregard their established positions, essentially since Woojin left, and maintain that type of mindset ever since. And when given the opportunity they do work outside of the 'established norms' of KPop. Look at their most recent album, Rock Star. You have Cover Me, a song that fully utilizes and embraces Seungmin's vocal abilities, as well as showcasing rarely seen sides of Changbin and Felix's vocals. I could literally go on for hours about how well thought out and constructed that song is as a vehicle for showcasing all of the member's vocal abilities. Hyunjin created such an elaborate and seemingly simple song, that effortlessly blends together the voices of the members in a way we hadn't seen before, something I truly believe only Hyunjin could imagine. You have Megaverse, where Chan very particularly wanted to have IN to show a different vocal style than he's had before.
You have Leave, which not only offers a 'softer side' of the member's who normally would rap, even in slower/more heartfelt songs like Winter Falls or Scars, but also Comflex, which gives Seungmin a chance to do something in a melodic rap style. To hear Chan talk about the skills the IN and Seungmin have, while he may not be able to provide them with the perfect vehicle to show case that, I believe he's trying and he wants to. I do not doubt for a second that he's working on tracks that would showcase different sides of their voices in particular, but it takes time, and humans aren't a bottomless creative well.
I feel like it is easy to 'expect more' from SKZ because we know that they are self-produced, and that very little of their work is done by outside persons (and those that are credited appear over and over again in their discography, which indicates to me that their input and skill is respected by 3Racha), but they are still under one of the big 3 idol companies. The truth of it is that the larger the entertainment company, the less likely they are to take risks creatively, because they have more to lose. That's why you see indie artists able to take some of these bigger creative risks, they don't have a lot to lose. And if you're a big fish in a small pond, like Ateez under KQ, then you're gonna have more leverage because those corporations are smaller, and they won't risk their largest moneymaker choosing to break their contracts over creative differences. But SKZ isn't that under JYPE. While I can imagine them not choosing to renew their contract and separating as a group or 3Racha/Chan potentially starting their own production company once their contracts expire, it would take an egregious breach of trust on JYPE's part to make them leave that company now, when their contract is literally due to expire in March of 2025 at the latest. So it's also entirely plausible that at this point they're biding their time, especially if they do plan to continue as a group post enlistment. But circling back to my point, to believe that because they are self-produced and they write their own tracks (almost 100% at this point) does not mean that they have full creative control over every aspect of their work. They have a say, and a level of input, but they also still have to submit their albums for review and approval just like every other idol group under JYPE.
i don't know if I have a way to sum all of this up, but I guess the easiest way would be to say "Don't Judge a KPop Group By Their Title Track."

My opinion in all Eurovision 2023 entries, but it's all positive (1st part)
I'm obsessed with many things, and one of them is Eurovision. That means I'm currently enjoying my favorite time of the year. Today, I want to do something specific - express my personal opinions on all the entries for Eurovision 2023. However, I'll only be highlighting what I like from each song, and I hope to spread some positivity.
Don't get me wrong - I don't like all the songs. I have my own top 37, but for the purposes of this exercise, I'll be listing them alphabetically. There are many of them so let's go with the first half of them! Would you be able to say any positive thing about the song that you dislike the most this year? Tell me!
------------------ ・Albania (Albina & Familja Kelmendi - "Duje") Deliciously dramatic. Albina's parents seem so nice I wanna have lunch with them! ・ Australia (Voyager - "Promise") Powerful! Have you watched them in Madrid's PreParty?? Looking forward to their performance in Liverpool! It's gonna be alright, I promise! ・Armenia (Brunette - "Future lover") Full of emotion. This is one of the 2 songs of this year that have made my tear up. I don't have to say anything else. If my future lover sings to me this song, I'll fall in love. ・Austria (Teya & Salena - "Who The Hell Is Edgar?") Genius. Catchy. Absolute perfection. Inteligent lyrics with a message. Catchy and well produced music. A fun female duo. A dance not so complicated so I can reproduce it... I can not ask for anything more! This is one of my absolute favorites of this year :D ・Azerbaijan (TuralTuranX - "Tell Me More") Ya'll, I genuinely enjoy the song! I think it's bold. There's an evolution throughout the song that makes it interesting. I like the rap part. ・Belgium (Gustaph - "Because of You") This song makes me happy and I love music that makes me happy. Gustaph has a lot of charisma and a really great voice! I also enjoy the 90's sound of the song! ・Croatia (Let 3 - "Mama ŠČ!") Okay. I FUKIN LOVE THIS, I GENUINELY LOVE IT!!!! This is bold, punk, genius, irreverent in a good way, original, out of the box, smart, fun, chaotic... I only can say good things about it. "Joke" entries always have a soft spot in my hear, and I don't even think this is a joke entry. This is high quality music, guys! This is what I love about Eurovision! I just need to stop screaming Mama kupila traktora 24/7 to stop annoying my neighbours lol ・Cyprus (Andrew Lambrou - "Break a Broken Heart") Very well produced song! And Andrew seems a really talented singer. I love the UUUUUUUHHHHUUHHUUUUUUUUUHHHUHHHHHHHH part. ・Czechia (Vesna - "My Sister's Crown") I love to hear so many different languages in one song. The chorus? OMG, the chorus is absolutely powerful. I always get goosebumps when I listen to the song. Love it! This is an anthem. ・Denmark (Reiley - "Breaking My Heart") Tbh, I like the voice effect in the studio version lol The song is stuck in my head and it's well done. ・Estonia (Alika - "Bridges") What a beautiful melody and what a powerful and talented voice for such a young artist! ・Finland (Käärijä - "Cha Cha Cha") I don't know if I'll be able to put into words what I feel about this song... I fall short if I say that I love the song with all my soul from the first second I hear it. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it... ・France (La Zarra - ""Évidemment") I love the mix of musical genres. This son is so elegant and exquisite... I love what France is bringing to the table this year! (Not gonna lie, I usually love France entries every year!) ------ And that's all for now! What is your less favorite song of Eurovision 2023 and what do you like the most about it??
