Hello everyone. I'm currently losing my mind.
BOC released a new teaser for the final episode of DFF, in order to promote their live event for it and it gave me so many thoughts. In case you haven't seen it, it's this one on Instagram (they've also posted it on Twitter).
It's so trippy and cool and it gave us a lot of good shots of all the characters and what haunts them in regards to Non, but I'll focus on Tee and White, because I have my biases and that's so valid of me.
(I'll assume everything in the trailer is symbolic, like in the first trailer they had released and do my analysis with that assumption in mind.)
Long post ahead:
After we get a brief montage of moments we've already seen in the show with some beautiful background music (it's this one, I love it), we see the brothers and then we start seeing everyone's fears. We see Fluke being scared of the police catching him, we see Top being scared of a haunting, bloody Non chasing him in the forest and then,
we see Tee.
Tee is holding Non's knife in his hands, looking arguably disgusted with it (with himself). The scene cuts to three consecutive visuals which you have to pause the teaser to see clearly. I tried my best here, apologies if the quality is bad.
Tee feels guilt for what happened to Non. I think everyone can understand this by now. He observes the knife in his hands drowning in this feeling, and it creates the image of himself pointing the knife directly onto Non's stomach, who's wearing the T-shirt he wore the day he got drugged and taken away to Tee's uncle. It's very intriguing to me how Non seems to either be trying to stop him or urging Tee to stab him. We'll find out soon enough what's the case.
But the real winner is the two images after that.
Because they involve White.
OK first things first, the shot is gorgeous. I love the colors and the framing and everything about it.
They're inside what seems to be a gaming room, which I'll assume is where they probably met, based on the Without Me MV BOC put out a few weeks ago.
(Notice how the color pallette is the same, too)
Tee is wearing his school uniform (stuck in the past, stuck to Non), while White is wearing the clothes from the cabin (in the present, away from Non but not really). They already are in two different timelines, which is also evident by their positions - Tee is a few steps behind White in the visual.
What caught my attention, besides everything else, was those shiny things on the floor. I can't see them very well, but in my opinion, they're condom wrappers. They go all the way back, symbolizing the duration of the relationship between Tee and White.
The interesting thing here, to me, is how they stop just before Tee's body, and then reappear after him, in front of White, with some of them dipped in blood.
A lot of people, me included, think NonWhite is a possibility, which makes this choice here very interesting. I'll grab onto it with two hands and wait to see what will be revealed tomorrow.
Speaking of Non, I think it's fair to assume the blood on the floor is Non's blood, which makes White staring directly into it become another version of Non, narrative wise. Both innocent boys entangled in Tee's life, both suffering because of Tee. My good friend @wretchedamaranth told me it reminded them of this painting of Narcissus by Caravaggio: White is looking at himself, as if the blood has become a mirror.
Which makes the next visual even more telling: blood separated by a thin line (it's almost blurred but it isn't, White becomes Non becomes White in Tee's eyes). On the right, the big amount is Non's, on the left, White's shadow is creeping into the shot.
It's White's blood. White is going to die.
We get zero things on White besides this. Absolutely none. Does this mean White is indeed a bystander in all of this? Should we take the words of Fuaiz here at face value?
(Source: DFF BTS Ep10)
Fuaiz could be talking about the scene we have seen, not what will come after. But he could just as well be talking in general about White as a character.
All I have to say is: Brace yourselves, fellow TeeWhite fans. We're in for a tragedy.
#I missed BOC's incredible trailers without even realizing it#I'm so hyped to see how DFF will end#I can't wait to cry my eyes out about TeeWhite#dead friend forever#teewhite#meta post

I saw your tags on the link click post and I love your theory that this isn't the first time lu guang has saved cxs. Would you happen to have the energy to expand on that? I'd... 👉👈 like to hear your thoughts (only if u want to though)
HELLO THANK U FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND ON THIS (for context - x) don't get me wrong i ADORE the sentiment in that post, but i am SO far down the "this isn't the first time lu guang has saved cheng xiaoshi" path that i can't come back lmao
before i say anything else, BUCKLE UP cause i have absolutely zero tangible proof and any canon reasoning for this is a stretch that would make a rubber band look rigid, but i can't stop thinking about it and i'm having fun so here we go
first and foremost: hat guy is a time cop ("cop"). hear me out, i promise this is relevant.
also sorry his name is liu xiao lmao (ignore the moment i thought his name was lu xiao and was about to be like he is the physical manifestation of lu guang and cheng xiaoshi's melding of their powers and/or their lovechild and/or their future combined self and/or- etc u get the idea)
AHEM. okay so. the first number of times we see liu xiao (as a kid and a friend of li tianchen) he seems relatively normal? although he does make a comment that stood out to me when i first watched ep9, where he says "i believe in the near future, you will definitely encounter the opportunity to become a hunter". when tianchen asks if they'll meet again, he says "surely we will" - and then, when they do, he reminds tianchen that he said they'd definitely meet again
he proceeds to comment (when tianchen asks if he has any choice) that "it seems everyone has only one path in their destiny, but in fact, it is made up of countless parallel lines...sometimes we want to change it, but we can't." - this specific phrase is spoken over lu guang's memory of watching cheng xiaoshi get shot.
and of course, we can't forget liu xiao's critical line "i wanna bring all parallel lines together, to turn all uncertainties into certainties." i think that's beyond metaphorical, i think he can not only see (in some sense) the parallel lines of a person's fate/futures/etc, but can manipulate them. or, rather, can corral them all into a single line, a single destiny, a single path for every person
now brief reminder that li tianxi was able to see lu guang's memories when she looked at the pic (revealed in ep12) - and she immediately started crying. i know the implication in that moment (ep10) was that she was experiencing lu guang's pain from the wound, but what if it was more than that? what if she saw his memories, too - in ep12, he implies that he went back to the beginning, presumably the start of the season, effectively, to prevent cheng xiaoshi from dying (hence all his careful planning through the season)
also real quick can we talk about how the passcode to his phone was the time (and date?) he went back to save cheng xiaoshi? THEE moment of "he is worth more than my rules". whether this is the first time or the thousandth, i'm still unwell
OKAY so anyway i think i've established that liu xiao has some fascination with timelines and, more precisely, with paring them down to whatever he's determined to be the Correct or Perfect timeline (ie establishing 'certainty') - this is why i call him a time cop like i don't think he's actually executing on some authority i think he's just decided that he has the power and that he wants the world to operate according to his certainties.
ones that lu guang has fucked up by saving cheng xiaoshi. possibly more than once.
for my next act, lu guang's character sheet:
yeah can we talk about age: ? like excuse me ?????? i'm also intrigued by the unknown blood type, but let's ignore that for now lmao
back to his unknown age - why the hell would this be unknown if he's just a guy? cheng xiaoshi has a normal age in spite of his abilities, right? and lu guang's ability is only to view the 12hr surrounding a photo, right?
WRONG. well, right, but also wrong. BEAR WITH ME OKAY cause we're jumping to qiao ling's experience in ep12 now - the moment she held onto tianxi when she died. where we saw...something travel from her to qiao ling. her memories? or her abilities?
now perhaps u, like me, recall lu guang's solitary moment in ep12 where, while covered in blood, he looked at his phone, his eyes turned cheng-xiaoshi-gold, he clapped, and he zoomied back to the past. because he was holding cheng xiaoshi when he died. and thus inherited his power.
OKAY SO why the fuck does that matter !!!! WELL I'M GLAD U ASKED. because we have no problem with cheng xiaoshi's age, right? he's done this 'jump back in time' thing a bunch!!! for 12hr at a time, and then he's back!
okay, but what happens when lu guang, who acquired cheng xiaoshi's power, jumps back to a time before he had cheng xiaoshi's power? now what? how would he jump back (or even be forced back) to his present body and time if he no longer has that ability? wouldn't he now be forced to re-live the hours, days, years after going back to make a change?
in his words, he went back to the beginning, thus he'd have to relive the whole thing, but now, he can make the Right choices this time to protect cheng xiaoshi
but what's a week (or a couple days or whatever it was) in the grand scheme of things? how would his age be unknown if this is the first and only time he's ever done it?
(critical caveat that 'the beginning' could absolutely refer to something far earlier than just the season's start - it could be the beginning of their relationship, for all we know, but let's start here for the sake of keeping this...i'd say manageable but we're well beyond that i am YAPPING)
if his age is so impossible to define, i think it could very easily fit to suggest that he's done this before - possibly many times. so many times that to suggest he's only as old as his physical body would be utterly ludicrous
okay but what in the world would make him want to change fate so often, for so long, so many times? what would make him go against his own rule (*i don't think this was always a rule for him but bear with me, we'll get to that)? well, we know the answer to that :)
so, i don't think this is the first time he's gone back in time to save cheng xiaoshi. i don't think it's the first time he's held cheng xiaoshi as he dies, because that's the way he would've acquired his ability in order to do this (an argument could be made here that he's hidden some facets of his own ability and that he's always been capable of this, but i don't think it was an accident that we saw qiao ling Acquire tianxi's ability)
in fact (if u thought this was all crack theory up to this point, hold onto ur horses) i think the first time he went back in time to save cheng xiaoshi was (seriously, hold on tight) when cheng xiaoshi died with his parents when he was a kid
that's right i'm going all the way baby. i think cheng xiaoshi was supposed to die when he was a kid. why the hell did his parents leave him all alone? to go on some random trip?? like we all agree this is peculiar right???? how does NOBODY know what happened to them, where they were, etc?
now i could go into possible scenarios (lu guang was a kid, too, and didn't know what he was doing, lu guang knew EXACTLY what he was doing and that it would have consequences, lu guang didn't even know he HAD any abilities til he tried to save cheng xiaoshi, the list goes on) BUT the gist of this being: i think lu guang saved cheng xiaoshi. i think he went back in time (into his own body) and figured out the right choices to make (maybe after many tries) to ensure that cheng xiaoshi didn't go with his parents. that he stayed home, for whatever reason, and survived
now why do i believe this, you may be asking? because it's fun, of course !!! and because we have no idea what happened to his parents yet, so i'll continue to theorize in the meantime lmao
you could also alternatively suggest that the going back in time to save cheng xiaoshi doesn't start until after they meet - i mean, hell, look at the situations they get themselves into just within the span of two seasons, they are RIFE with danger. like, cheng xiaoshi could've died MANY times !!!!
but honestly what really sells me is - going ALL the way back to the post that i linked at the start - lu guang didn't hesitate. not only did he already know, but he had no qualms with immediately (still covered in blood) going back to before and doing this all over again. unlike qiao ling, who does not appear to realize she has tianxi's ability, lu guang seems to immediately understand that he has cheng xiaoshi's. that just smacks of experience
(also, an aside: what photo did he use? how far back did he go? there's another route of course - did he go so far back that he's relived his life to such a notable degree that calling him whatever age of his physical body would be missing a notable number of years? in which case, one could argue that this could be the first time, though his immediate knowledge of acquiring cheng xiaoshi's remains unexplained. ANYWAY i digress)
okay back to the point here - lu guang immediately knowing that he has cheng xiaoshi's ability and using it without hesitation, though he does comment on how he broke his own rule. and it sounds like a first-time thing, but consider...
what if this is the first time he's broken it since making the rule?
enter time cop hat guy (i hear u, i promised this was relevant), aka our boi liu xiao who wants to create 'certainties' by (presumably) eliminating branching possibilities in some regard to create single paths/fates/destinies/etc. for lack of a better way to phrase it, a single timeline where everything can be predicted and accounted for (yeah...i suspect we'll be unpacking some of his trauma in s3)
now, different choices mean different outcomes - different timelines, a long list of uncertainties. i think liu xiao aimed to stop that. i also think that his ability gives him some kind of godlike manipulation over timelines (how else would he speak with such confidence about making this future a reality?) assuming, of course, that he has no interference from others with similar abilities
enter lu guang, who has now - potentially multiple times - messed with liu xiao's perfect timeline, one wherein cheng xiaoshi dies (not necessarily with intentional malice, just by virtue of securing whichever certainties liu xiao wants). this, of course, is a problem for liu xiao
and perhaps he makes lu guang's life a living hell - hey, why not go all the way? perhaps he makes a point of manipulating the timeline to kill cheng xiaoshi in new and horrifying ways, again and again, just to watch lu guang play this pathetic game trying to save him by going back in time. perhaps it's entertaining, for a while, but he grows tired of it eventually
so, he proposes an agreement: he'll stop trying to kill cheng xiaoshi, but lu guang has to agree never to manipulate his perfect timeline again (or something similar, you get the idea - they reach a ceasefire of sorts wherein they both, to an extent, get what they want)
thus, the rule was born - whatever they do, they cannot ever change these critical nodes. so long as lu guang adheres, liu xiao won't try to kill cheng xiaoshi
but then someone else does. someone else succeeds. and lu guang breaks his side of the deal, he changes the timeline. he knows exactly what he's doing, what he may invoke, but he does it anyway (i'm fully writing my own au of this story at this point lmao but hey, hope ur having fun if u made it this far)
and so liu xiao returns from abroad, because he has a score to settle
[don't ask me why s3 is set in london and they look like they're teaming up, i'm all for a 'forced to work together' arc but how that fits in with this wildly out of pocket theory is beyond me lmao]
anyway hope u enjoyed this delve into my silly goofy theory !!!! thank u deeply for the ask LMAO

Bad Buddy reactions thru ep10
This will cover episodes 6-10 so please try to understand how many feelings I'm trying to condense down into a single post before we finish tomorrow lol sob
Inkpa Pa is so valid for telling a tall girl that "taller than me" is her only dating requirement, and Ink is so valid for immediately taking that as an opportunity to flirt. And to make sure Pa knew she was flirting, unlike Pa who kinda pratfell into it. Lmao just a delightful scene all around. I also loved their earlier not-date, where they almost knocked the entire table over. Clumsy girl representation, baby!! There's just something so refreshingly familiar and true-to-life about both women. I can't wait to check out Magic of Zero for more of them. Like, Ink's face moles are so pretty, and she's so dashing, and she has liked the same girl since high school and fought to be her peer mentor to get to spend more time with her. Like. Can you imagine being Pa. Didn't even need that glow-up girl, take those contacts back out
Pat/Pran, public vs. private Something I was really enjoying before Wai outed Pat/Pran was the portrayal of their different feelings about a public relationship. Pat's straining desire to brag about his cute boyfriend (sidenote: the scene where Pran tried to feed him and Pat ran back to his room to giggle and kick his feet on the bed was the absolute most), in conflict with Pran's desire for privacy and discretion. I appreciated that they understood each other, and were sincerely trying to find a balance between what they both wanted without any resentment for their differing responses. So it obviously super sucks that they were forcibly outed instead! I can't read Wai as anything but stupid in love with Pran, and that at least explains why his behavior was so extremely extra that whole time (so extra that inspirational sports couldn't even bring him around. It took a fuckin shoot out! my dude), but it doesn't excuse it. Fuck you forever sir. That said. It is incredibly characteristically hilarious that the way they got exposed as boyfriends to the entire student body was.... Pat shoving Pran's head into his stinky armpits. Like that's truly their love language. Nothing else compares.
I have even more to say about public/private stuff so let's continue behind a cut lol. Ok so public proposals. Pat demanded Pran do a love confession in exchange for his help being in the play, and we all knew there was no chance in hell that Pran would do it. Pat knew there was no chance in hell that Pran would do it. Like, he claimed he demanded it because they had that whole "let's edge each other with romantic behavior until someone breaks" competition going and this was his chance to win big, he just loves seeing Pran's face when he loses to him... but he made it apparent the very next day is what he actually loves seeing is Pran's face when he's pestered to death by Pat, lol. Pat can lose to Pran, he does it often, but what he absolutely cannot do is leave him alone when there's an opportunity to tease or pester or bother or annoy. :') Anyway, I found all that very sweet, but! What I found even sweeter! Was Pran and his entire department setting Pat up for the actual public proposal of Pat's dreams! Because even if he was being a butthead when he demanded it of Pran, you know deep down he wished "yelling I love you in front of everyone" was something they could actually have. So I love that Pran gave him that platform, but on Pran's terms, when Pran was ready to be in the spotlight that way. It was like... a grand gesture where Pat was the one announcing his love, but the very act of Pran setting up the space for him to do it was a pretty huge gesture of its own. <3
Last thing I'll say on privacy and outings and whatnot goes back to what I was saying last time about Pat and Pran's rivalry as a metaphor for society, and homophobia. Coming out - or being outed 😟- to your school and friends is not the same thing as coming out, or being outed 😟, to your family or parents. Just v interesting how different the stakes were in this show for Pat and Pran's relationship getting exposed to those two different spheres. The textual focus of their being outed was not at all on their sexuality, but it really resonated that exact same way.
Entirely valid of Pran to want be a gender role-neutral couple instead of husband/wife, I support him fully, but! Every time the narrative tells me Pat can't be the wife or shouldn't be the wife I get a lil defensive. He is literally a baseball mom, hdu! Okay this is just me reiterating that Pat should get to wear a dress and simper to his heart's content.
Ah there were so many little moments I wanted to comment on; should probably just do a gifset deep dive tomorrow. One scene I wanna just quickly shout out was when Pat went to grab Pran's hand as they were heading out of their rooms for the first time, Pran freaked out and withdrew, then apologized and said "just give me time to adjust." And a moment later, he had adjusted <3 that's so real! That's sometimes all it takes! Respect my space, give me time, okay turns out the only time I needed was a second to recalibrate, I'm good now.
Secret family history Last but not least I'll talk reallll quick about the family drama reveal. HUGELY relieved that Ming and Dissaya's drama wasn't a messy breakup. FASCINATING that what went wrong between their families was actually a male friend benefiting from fucking over his female friend, never taking any real ownership of it because that would require losing face, and letting it fester into something he passed down to his son. Like maybe eps 11 and 12 will complicate this history, but it's intriguing to me right now that this isn't a case of grievances on both sides, but of Ming not only leaning into the friend divorce but actively pushing his son to uphold it, like he was helpless in the face of his own men's wrongs to do anything but pass them down to his kid. Especially intriguing because it kind of mirrors the Architecture vs. Engineering dynamic at the beginning of the series, when Engineering behaved like bullies, repeatedly, and Architecture just kind of defended themselves. Engineering - and originally, Pat's - justification for first starting all this shit (and continuing it way past when it made any sense to keep going)? They had to maintain their reputation! Even after the departments worked things out, the difference in their original grievances and aggression was never confronted, so it's been on my mind. Idk idk something something Ming passing down his toxic masculinity to Pat, where how you appear to others is more important than making up for wrongdoings or resolving conflict, and Pat ended up in the Toxic Masculinity Department until Pran started wooing him to spend more and more time in Architecture. NOT trying to force them back into the gender roles Pran rejected (Pran I promise baby), just trying to say something about what they inherited from their parents. Pran had his mother's grudge-holding anger and stubbornness passed down, but a lot of Pat and his department's worst behaviors really feel like a mirror image of his dad's big reveal. Am I making any sense. this post took like 3 hours to write lol I'm just gonna hit post

I'm going to say things bc that's how I cope.
As a person who thinks that if you're going to do something you should do it right, I can't help it, it bothered me how sloppy this season felt. Of course I fully blame HBO and their cheapness, but it stills bothers me. Not only we got two episodes less than s1, but the 8 we got were shorter, and you can tell. I also blame the budget cuts for the constant yet unnecessary flashbacks, and the weird editing, and the anticlimatic pace. In any case, I want to highlight the things I did like, because I fucking love this show and Im sure that after a rewatch or two I'll be less angry, so let's stay positive:
Since it seems they were having trouble to get the complete cast together in one plot, I do love they kinda let them have their spotlight one by one. Like, Frenchie in the first episodes, Wee John as Calypso, Lucius with his PTSD in ep5... It's not the same as s1, but it's something.
I've seen people complaining about this, but Im happy they didnt invest too much time on the forgiving process. I like it better when everyone gets along fine, and in the end they're pirates and they never seemed to be the kind of people who hold grudges, so yeah lets skip to the nice part.
I did like a lot what they did with Izzy. I don't care if it happened too quick or what, I used to feel indiference towards him and this season I actually enjoy his scenes a lot. I still dont know how I feel about his death tho. It bothered me a little that the whole scene was more about Ed than Izzy himself, but in the end I always saw Izzy as a narrative tool in Ed's arc more than as a character of his own, so I guess it makes sense.
Super happy with the music choices, and also the new outfits.
Really, the first five episodes were absolutely brilliant.
It made me so happy they got Bronson Pinchot as Ned Low.
Huge fan of Zheng Yi Sao and Auntie.
Im so fucking furious at Taika Waititi for his pro-Israel shit that seeing Pop Pop attacking him gave me some sort of inner peace.
Now, things I wished had been done differently: - There were a lot of paralelisms with s1, which is good, but I'd like they brought back more actual elements of s1 into play. Like, the lighthouse painting, the secret wardrobe, the pink robe, a third Badmington (he would have work better as big bad than this prince ricky guy I dont really care about?). Frenchie singing again. This oneis a reach, but I would love to have Mary Bonnet back. And I was really hoping they play with the fact that Stede is "dead". The guy doesnt even mention the Master Fuckery from ep10.
-On that note, I was a little dissapointed on Jim's arc. I was never that invested on them or their plot in s1, but it feels weird how this season it seems like none of that even happened. Even Jim felt like a different character. I feel it would worked better if some of the conflict was related to Siete Gallos stuff, so at least it would feel all of that subplot wasnt a waste of time.
-Little missing opportunities of making me happy: Anne Bonny and Mary Read mentioning Jack (to insult him, mostly); they kissing when the house is on fire; Ed finding not just one letter but the whole pile of them; a better narrative use for Seagull Buttons (well, any narrative use, really); developing the bombclocks thing in a way where Auntie was not deprived of her superhuman detective skills; having Ned Low as bigger villain, with several appearances.
-The general development of Ed/Stede in the final episode... It's just confusing to me. My reading of Stede's mind state was that he was on autopilot since he killed Ned Low, and being abandoned by Ed and having his ass kicked by Zheng would wake him up a little, but this episode he's still in PROBLEM SOLVER mode, zero regrets about anything, still hasn't talked anything through EVER, he's just fine. With Ed I dont even ask for coherence bc he's always been a wtf guy, but I dont understand the "just do whatever you're good at" thing in the beginning of the episode, and he claiming back his leathers and his pirate-self and going on berserker mode and fighting along Stede as equals and blablabla if at the end he's still chosing to be a fucking innkeeper. Also, having a shitty inn in the middle of nowhere sounds too close to the antique shop in ep4, didn't they learn ANYTHING from Mary and Anne? I mean, the innkeeping was a predictible outcome, but the setting up of the episode was really aiming to the opposite, so it feels weird to me. In any case, I'm happy they're together and if being absolutely on their own in the loneliest house in the world doesn't get them to improve their communication, idk what else they could do.
-Still think they should have been lighthouse keepers instead.
-Next season Im totally muting every OFMD tag as soon as they announce the trailer release, because the promo and bts content was absolutely TOO MUCH. Those fuckers had been showing us stuff from the very climax of the fucking last episode since weeks before the season aired. I get it's a me problem, but I do believe it ruined my experience a lot, so fuck that.
And well. That's it. Good season, could have been great. Im happy but sad. Let's just hope that, if there's a season 3, they gave them more money and time to do it properly.
And before I post this and run away from tumblr, Im checking out how much of my wishlist had been fulfilled: - LUCIUS IS ALIVE - Stede Bonnet, berserker era [Not as I imagined, but hey] - The Queen Anne’s Revenge, either being captured or coming back as the ship Ed left behind when he went to The Revenge - The Blockade of Charleston (and make really absurd) [Still might happen in the future?] - Anne Bonny and Mary Read(as middle aged women who kinda mirror Ed and Stede, but they did it right) - Since he was already mentioned in s1, it would make sense introducing Hornigold, maybe as a new antagonist or something. - A rip off of that wwdits episode with the Vampire Council, except this time is the Pirate Council and its members are pirates from other movies and shows [I was really dreaming big here] - On that note, a really weird episode with every person who has played Blackbeard in recent years [Fully tripping] - More women and more asian characters. And more people speaking their mother tongues [So many Chinese gals, not one chinese word :(] - Ed finding out about Stede’s death and believing it [It did happened but not how/when we thought] - Ed meeting Mary and getting along [Never losing hope on this one] - Frenchie adopting a cat (and singing a song about it). - More info about everyone’s pasts. - I would LOVE having Bartholomew Roberts in the show. [YES PLEASE]

rewatched ep10 and honestly it is growing on me. enjoyed it a lot more this time. extremely long meta post (almost 4k) spoiling pretty much everything under the cut.
the visenya birth scene is harrowing and rhaenyra rocking her dead girl in her arms... emotional devastation.
i wish we'd had more time with rhaenyra's internal conflict over what to do. i wanted to see her angry and more visibly torn over duty (she is her father's chosen heir and aegon a wanker) vs duty (the 7K united for the future winter). i wanted to see her in full ugly grief mode. but on rewatch it's like... she can't!! no full ugly grief mode for her because she has to hold her shit together, because she has to hold everything else together and daemon is too busy having his own unhinged breakdown to be of any help whatsoever (he's more of a problem lbr). i'm pretty sure she spends most of the ep wishing she could just have her own breakdown over her dead dad, her dead baby, her ex bestie betraying her, and daemon's skyrocketing level of unhingedness, but she simply fucking can't because if she does everything's going to explode in her face.
on monumental miscommunication: the show this week local couple completely fails to understand each other's positions because they are not operating from the same set of variables and unaware of it: she thinks he knows about the aegon prophecy of winter, he has zero idea there even is an aegon prophecy to know until she drops the bomb. on rewatch it is really rewarding to see how much the aegon prophecy informs rhaenyra's position on everything and how much it *doesn't* informs daemon's.
i still kinda wish we'd had more of a follow up on rhaenyra choosing fear with the laenor fake murder to hitch up with her uncle because so sue me i was absolutely there for the unhinged partners in love, politics & war crimes kind of dynamic but then again. the situation in ep10 is not at all what rhaenyra was planning for at the time. she wanted people to be afraid of the shit they could pull, so that no one would be too much of a problem when the time came for her to take the throne, and for that daemon's reputation and overall daemon-ness was an asset. or at least looked like one to her (it wasn't an asset, like ok sure intimidation factor but also it'd have lost her the support of people who weren't fans of the idea of daemon ruling, and people absolutely would have believed daemon was the one who called the shots. also it near lost her the velaryons and the velaryons are the main fleet. the math was bad). instead turns out she has to decide between duty (she is her father's chosen heir and aegon a wanker) vs duty (the 7K united for the future winter). the fact that daemon is the sort to war crime first and think later (on top of the prophecy miscommunication fail) isn't really an asset in this situation it's more of a huge fucking problem.
even if he knew about the prophecy... he'd probably be a bit more understanding of her position, and her his, but i don't think it'd have changed things that much because *if* he'd bought it, he would have fixated on the part about a targ sitting on the throne being necessary, and he would argue alicent's kids aren't targ enough so of course rhaenyra has to go to war to park her ass on the throne. they would then have a huge row because rhaenyra would say oh are you saying my boys with not-laenor aren't targ enough??
idk what to think about rhaenys 'i came to warn you out of loyalty to my husband and to my house' it really bugged me on first watch because she's a targ too ffs buuut she's been ambivalent about rhaenyra for a while (pretty reasonable what with her thinking rhaenyra had her son killed to hitch up with daemon) so... guess it works. and it makes sense that the thing that actually gets her on rhaenyra's side in the end is not being gung-ho about war because that'd have been why she didn't try to push her claim & go to war herself after viserys got chosen by the lords as the new king on the basis of *checks notes* having a dick.
otoh the thing with rhaenys not wanting war probably for the good of all is the same thing with alicent's 'a true queen counts the cost to her people' (alicent you are bad at math and if you *had* done that you would have looked at aegon and gone eeehr. that was a bullshit line) which is that rhaenys also smashed a bunch of peasants just last episode because none of these people ought to actually care about the masses (other than rhaenyra, but only in the sense that she knows about the aegon prophecy -- caring about adverting the end of the world and the death of humanity isn't really the same as caring that people don't die in your war for power) they are medievish rulers, they ought to believe in absolutism AND other than alicent they're all targs, they also ought to have liked subscribed followed on targ exceptionalism.
jace being mean to luce when they're having their bit of training on the beach makes me sad but on top of "send us" being his idea it's just gonna make him even more devastated. like not only was it idea for them to be their mom's envoys but also the last time they had bro time he was a meanie to luce… the sheer amount of angst he's gonna carry around next season!!
kind of funny: the fact that daemon and rhaenyra did not take five to discuss their options / air shit out & have daemon update her on what he's been doing already (ravens sent etc) in private before the war council (part one) around the extremely awesome-looking candlelit painted table. it's giving me ep3 rhaenyra & viserys public fight vibes. same mistake of making dissension a public spectacle, which in this case is pretty bad optics-wise. everyone can see rhaenyra doesn't know what moves daemon already made, and that they are not in agreement at all. most likely it's because they are pissed at each other and also grieving (but mostly pissed). and probably no amount of discussion would have gotten them on the same page, but at least they wouldn't have had a fight in front of everyone five minutes after he crowned her. maybe they could also have avoided the huge miscommunication issue re: the aegon prophecy.
otto scene paralleling ep2 is yummy (kinda wish criston had been there to be a bitch about stuff tbh) but also rhaenyra just miscarried i don't think she should be flying. the terms otto brings are VERY interesting (they are mostly alicent's, otto is a liar and his intentions for the long term are still absolutely to get rhaenyra and her fam killed, because as long as she's alive there will be people to say she was the heir, she should have been queen, either because they believe it, either because aegon is a shithead, either because opportunism etc etc); they're giving rhaenyra dragonstone, ie the most targ place in westeros, the traditional seat of the heir to the throne, and also where there are all the wild dragons and also an island not that far from king's landing on dragonback, so it's kind of like telling her you can keep most of the nukes and stay in our backyard it's fine. the terms also imply that they'll stop calling her kids bastards and make it royal policy that they aren't since jacaerys would inherit dragonstone & lucerys driftmark. the catch is the part about aegon the third and viserys being given 'positions of high honor at the court', which really means they are to be hostages for rhaenyra & daemon's good behavior. also otto said what i've been saying, which is that his faction was never reacting to anything rhaenyra did or didn't do ('she could be jaehaerys returned and it still wouldn't matter') and had been planning to crown aegon ii since he was a baby, because he was born with a dick and otto & hobert are thirsty for power. also lol at 'stale oaths' this shit is the foundation upon which feudalism stands but ok. stale oaths. side of honor and decency, lol.
i'm still meh about the book page moment. i want it to work for me because alicent & rhaenyra are the core of everything and it is a neat callback to ep1, it just... doesn't. it feels so alicent, the appeal to past friendship, but the book page itself feels contrived and i don't really buy that otto wouldn't have thrown it into the sea. also the family dinner from hell was about three days ago so it's not like rhaenyra would have forgotten the temporary rekindling of frienship or alicent saying she'd make a good queen only to put her own wanker son on the throne. idk it's not that she shouldn't be sad and yearning for the good old days but. i guess i think she should be kinda pissed too.
when daemon says 'the enemy declared war already' at the war council (part two)... he is being especially unhinged and bitchy, and him and rhaenyra REALLY should have taken five to air shit out in private after otto left -- but he isn't wrong either. neither of them are wrong, but again: they aren't operating from the same set of variables. rhaenyra is considering the cost of going to war with the aegon prophecy in mind, and daemon doesn't know about it. what daemon is considering is what he knows about how shit works, and what he knows about otto ("a second son that stands to inherit nothing but what he seizes for himself") (and also he is still in unhinged breakdown mode) and he probably realizes otto's terms are bullshit... because otto wasn't exactly wrong about his 'being the challenge' thing. if rhaenyra had been crowned there would always have been people to say, well aegon has a dick so he ought to bethe one sitting on the sword chair, even if he's an incompetent drunken wanker -- and while i very much doubt rhaenyra would have had her half-siblings executed to shore up her claim as soon as she got on said chair, it's very likely aegon ii would have been a problem at some point or another, not especially because of anything he'd do, but because he'd be a rallying point for discontents and opportunists. and now with aegon ii crowned there will also always be people to say that viserys changing his mind at the last minute is hightower bullshit, that his chosen heir was rhaenyra so she should be on the chair, ie she will always be a danger to aegon ii, and it's only when she's dead and her whole family with her that the doubts about aegon ii's legitimacy as king will die -- if only because then there would be no other pseudo-legally viable option than him left. and otto absolutely is the kind of person who'd make it happen, he has been planning on it since aegon was born, he's not gonna change that just because alicent said 'no i don't wanna'. plus the offer to give dragonstone to rhaenyra really is a huge red flag: otto said aegon ii had all the symbols of legitimacy, but dragonstone traditionally is the heir's seat, it is also a symbol of legitimacy and pet nukes island, there's just no way otto would really be fine letting the one threat to aegon ii just live out her days there even if he had two of her kids as hostages. his side of the fam is also missing another targ legitimacy symbol in dark sister. otto plays a long game, and for now he's just humouring alicent.
so yeah from daemon's perspective of prophetic ignorance, otto hatedom and general daemon-ness understanding of the world, if the blacks don't do a war, not only are they gonna have to hand over aegon the third and viserys ii to *otto* as hostages, but they'll also get to spend the rest of their life waiting for a sad regrettable accident to happen to them. he isn't considering the third option, which is get the fuck out of dodge and go back to pentos or wherever because he is in unhinged breakdown mode, and also if not him he wants rhaenyra on his bro's throne.
i'm still fine with the choking. makes sense to me. he's having his unhinged man breakdown over what he thinks is his bro getting murdered, and another breakdown on top over the visenya situation. the fact that his brother (he thinks) got murdered and the news sent rhaenyra straight to miscarriage... it's kill bill siren on repeat in his head and nothing else. dude spends the whole episode wanting to kill someone - wanting to kill a lot of someone. plus he is pissed at rhaenyra for not being gung-ho about war from the start. he is also pissed she didn't let him kill otto, whom he hates probably more than anyone else ever and probably expects will not rest until his and rhaenyra's whole family is dead. and he is pissed rhaenyra isn't listening to him because he's the one with the war experience and whatever, and on that one he 100% thinks he knows better. and he is high on targ exceptionalism as ever. and he is also very upset to learn about the aegon prophecy because viserys never told him, and under the swag and the overperformance of gender he is at his core a pathetic insecure little bitch hungry for big bro's approval, and this to him (and to rhaenyra) would confirm viserys never truly trusted him nor ever saw him as a viable heir. ever. also: poor impulse control is not new.
rhaenys and corlys not being on the same page for most of the season is kinda funny but mostly sad. corlys reconsidering velaryon ambition and support for rhaenyra HAS to happen when rhaenys is like 'actually... i kinda support her now'. she also confirms jace luce and joff their official grandchildren won't be safe as long as aegon ii sits the throne. (it is however meh that she didn't mention baela & rhaena who are their real grandkids, and also at risk because they are now betrothed to jace & luce. very uncool.) reversal of position to the nines, considering she used to be the one to say they weren't really their grandkids and that rhaenyra had laenor killed, which is now corlys' point to make. her position doesn't really make sense tho -- she says she supports rhaenyra because she is demonstrating restraint when everyone around her wants to go to war (which is sort of funny when you consider rhaenyra might have been as gung-ho about war as everyone else if not for the aegon prophecy, once again it's all about who knows what) but at the same time if jace luce & joff (and by extension baela & rhaena) are in danger as long as aegon ii sits the throne then... how is war not inevitable?
'you father's realm was one of justice and honor' is so fucking funny to me coming from corlys, who spent most of the season arguing it was complete injustice that his wife was cheated out of the throne. a+ no notes bitchiest backhanded compliment.
it's also really funny to me that rhaenyra tells the kids to swear on the seven because it's not like she's shown any care for the faith previously, and what with the oldtown link it's pretty unlikely any show of religion would get the faith on her side rather than the hightowers'. it's a weird decision and i don't really get the point. might make more sense later on tho.
another thing i do not really get: what is daemon even doing with vermithor other than looking cool?? on the one hand it's just as well he fucked off because the war council really went more smoothly without him but otoh what is he doing serenading a dragon that isn't caraxes?? is he intending to cheat on the noodle boi?? the whole point of that scene escapes me like ok bunch of dragons to claim on dragonstone... but if he's looking to organize blind dates then why is he alone.
baby lucerys giving me all the feels in this ep, and also making me wish we'd had more time with rhaenyra's kids to make everything more devastating. i get that aegon & aemond would get more screentime this season because they're going to last longer while lucerys dies especially early on, but isn't that reason to give him more time to steal all our hearts!! same with rhaenyra as a mother imo it wouldn't have hurt to get more of that for maximum impact when she learns about lucerys getting eaten. especially since the timeskips already meant we don't really see her go from not wanting kids because of aemma trauma to having like half a soccer team worth of them.
i do wish we'd gotten more time in storm's end too, but the whole fail visit shows rhaenyra fucked up in at least two big ways: 1) she just asked for fealty and while yeah oaths were sworn and all that jazz... like boros said, aegon ii's side at least came with an offer. the thing to do is to offer something when you're asking someone to go to war for you and not that other guy. if not a son's hand then a position on the small council or whatever. 2) her kids weren't prepared -- or at least lucerys wasn't prepared to treat with boros. baby boy doesn't know what the fuck he is doing, and he does the best he can but someone with actual experience would have known not to stop at 'well sorry sir i'm already betrothed' and made some counter-offer or another.
sapphire reveal YES. aemond being so good at being a scary mofo until it turns out he's basically a kid too?? that hit way more on rewatch. on first watch i really didn't like the specifics of how things went down with lucerys -- i went in knowing it would be an accident what with the leak, but not the exact details, and i really expected aemond to fuck up because he was so fixated on revenge he'd take it a step too far and that'd be the accident so on the moment it felt cheap when it turned out to be the dragons. now i think it's not at all a bad change for a show that's trying to show everyone's humanity and amp up the tragedy of it all.
and all in all i do think it did a good job at accounting for f&b canon while doing something different, because while the actual death is sort of an accident and aemond didn't want shit to get quite that far... it was still rather unhinged behavior of him to go all 'an eye for an eye i'll give it to mommy revenge revenge revenge'. he was out there doing the evil anime laugh, living out his dream of being the scariest dude around and finally getting himself some revenge... and it was fun and enjoyable for like five minutes and then it wasn't! probably the first time he actually kills anyone. but also lbr it wasn't that much better an idea than to straight up kill lucerys in light of what it'd do to the negotiation process and all that. and the fact that he called lucerys my lord strong & bastard when his mother's terms to rhaenyra imply the green will finally acknowledge jace luce & joff as legitimate... neat. of course aemond of all people couldn't let it go.
the thing that sold me on the no control over dragons was remembering back in ep1 when viserys said... we don't control the dragons the idea that we do is an illusion. full circle! i guess it is kinda sexy and not actually boring to have the war start like that. daemon is out there spouting his 'dragons will win us the war' spiel and meanwhile. dragons panicking. vhagar eating lucerys. also fits with the "ten thousands ways this could have been avoided (it was always going to be this way)" approach. and it all fits with the fact that show aemond is more of a wannabe edgelord at this stage of the story; his best war crimes era is still ahead of him, and i am curious to see how s2 goes from there. he isn't really the sort to tell people it was an accident imo (maybe to alicent) but even if he was, the thing is he can't actually tell to people it was an accident... because you can't tell your allies and possible allies and more generally your bro's subjects that woopsie! you can't control your pet nuke all that well actually. that's really, really, really bad press, even worse than doing a war crime. like. being led by dudes who do war crimes is one thing because they do the war crimes to the other side, but being led by dudes who don't control their pet nukes all that well means the pet nuke could eat you.
the only reason there could be to tell anyone is convincing rhaenyra it was an accident, but she wouldn't believe it from eamond (he of the toast escalation). and even if she magically learned all about how shit went down... she wouldn't see it as an accident because in the end aemond did pursue lucerys, who was just an envoy under explicit orders not to fight, with the intent to take an eye for an eye to bring back to his mommy and that's the reason there could even be an accident.
also ironic that aemond probably did more to save the daemyra marriage (and maybe even their cause) than anyone else in this ep because if he hadn't accidentally war crimed lucerys, giving them cause to war crime back? they'd be fighting like crazy over how to go about things and they'd be doing it in public, and daemon would be switching from undermining rhaenyra as queen to straight up killing people who don't bow low enough to her at least three times a day and that would not make their side very popular let's be real.
in the end i kinda wish this ep could have been the council of the blacks as a pendant to the council of the greens, things would have had more time to breathe. doesn't make for a killer season finale but maybe an eleventh ep with a longer stom's end passage (awkward diner!!) + blood & cheese idk.
buut then again that final scene... what a way to finish the ep & the season!! everything about it is so!! perfect!! love that we pretty much see only rhaenyra & daemon's backs throughout and yet you just fucking know what she's feeling. her little faltering step!! her hands on her stomach!! she's losing another baby... and when she does turn to the camera... her pissed off face, the way it just screams she's done... for the whole episode she's been trying so, so hard to do that thing alicent thinks she keeps giving the finger to, she's been trying to do her duty, she's been trying not to fall into pieces, she's been trying to hold shit together and do what she thinks viserys would have wanted her to do ie keeping the peace, she's been putting the aegon prophecy above everything else, she's been trying not give in to anger and now. and now that's over. she is gonna do some war crimes of her own.
#house of the dragon#spoilers#meta#messy but meh it's late and i just wanna be done with it#mostly focusing on the good because i did enough grumbling and i wanted to see what does work for me and turns out: a lot#go figure

hi archer!
you said about ep10 that you're certain they are setting wai x korn up (even if it will only be a background thing) and i wanted to ask you about that. the bi korn signals are very strong, and some of pat and pran's behaviour could be explained with them knowing he likes wai, but from wai i'm only getting heterosexual vibes. pa's reaction to his advances, ink murdering him with her eyes, and even the way pran talked about him; it's textbook "token staright who's on thin ice" for me. (thin fucking ice. like oh my god how is there still ice there. how is he still standing. (the answer is: bc pran's mother really fucked up in her parenting. but i digress.)) do you think it's at all possible that even if wai is confirmed to be the one korn likes, the two of them still don't become a thing? i think it's a realistic scenario (i have had small crushes in the past on straight guys who had a pretty face or were charismatic, but sucked as people. oh and were only into girls) but this isn't real life, it's a bl drama. so i've come to ask your opinion on this, because you have seen a lot more bls than i have and you are familiar with the screenwriters and the director's previous works too. what do you think?
hope you have a nice day/night, and thank you for being the editor of my favourite newspaper (you know bc of your blog title) 🪐
ok, so i think it's time to explain my (very unfortunate) waikorn agenda. as usual, i preface this with the fact that i ALSO don't want it to happen, but i don't typically live in denial either, so let me explain first and foremost why i think it is happening (in whatever way).
the first thing that set my alarms off was this scene in episode 7:
korn did not need to be there. the arc of wai's crush on pa is already done with, and korn did not participate in it in any way, so it wasn't for him to tell pat wai has a crush on pa or whatever else in connection with it for sure. so why was he just randomly there? you could argue that it might have been for that one small moment where korn and pa greet each other, but not only is it not particularly necessary to establish that pa and korn know each other because - considering how close korn and pat are - it would be a fair assumption to make and it, therefore, wouldn't be weird to see them in some future scene together, being clearly familiar with each other, but the moment of greeting itself is also very quick, and the focus of the second part of that scene clearly lingers on wai and korn (while pa is long gone).
then, in episode 9, we have this scene:
why in the world is it korn, of all people, who defuses the situation between wai and the opposite team? it would make sense for it to be literally anyone else if there is nothing more going on. louis or safe, who were established as being there and who are his actual friends, pran, as another attempt to reconcile and help wai. even pat, in a similar fashion to what he will later do at the cafe. so why korn? you know why.
same episode, another scene:
i think we can all agree that korn definitely has a crush on a guy from architecture. he said that he was joking, but this line makes absolutely zero sense unless he wasn't. "but archer" i hear you say "why can't it be someone else from architecture?". well, my dear, who is it likely to be: safe, louis, the guy from the play, someone else entirely - the characters korn had zero interactions with, or wai - the character he keeps having all these little, seemingly out of place moments with?
finally, this entire scene in episode 10:
honestly, everything about it just screams "this is here for a reason". and like, what's the point of reconciling wai and korn specifically? you are telling me we haven't seen much of a conversation between pran and wai about what happened, wai is now chill with pat and this entire progression almost fully took place off-screen, we haven't seen both louis and safe from pran's friend group and chang and mo from pat's, even though they also very much participated in the rivalry and need reconciliation, but we decided to focus specifically on wai and korn?
in addition to that, in terms of framing, i want to point out that when the guys start talking about pa, there is not a single time korn is out of frame when they are showing wai. pat and pran are shown from different angles: alone, with the two of them, with the entire table, but every time they show us wai's reactions, they show us korn's as well. why even? he isn't really a part of the conversation, pa is his best friend's sister at best. and yet they are making sure we see the way he is acting and what he is feeling during the entire conversation.
i also want to remind everyone that my mans drake is a fantastic fucking actor, and him looking at wai this way is not an accidental choice:
now, my last point is the novel. despite the fact or perhaps because of the fact that there are a lot of changes the writers made between the source material and their script, they love throwing in small little nods to the novel. and what could be a better nod than gently and ever so slightly inserting the secondary couple from the source material?
now that i have made my case, let's get to the specifics, which you were asking about, dearest anon!
i think that with the two episodes we have left - one of which is most likely not going to have any major characters but pat and pran in it - korn's crush on wai will be at least potentially reciprocated. it might be something akin to mil and phukong in 2gether, where mil had a crush on someone else but was rejected, and their arc ended with phukong asking mil to give him a chance. or it might be something more concrete.
the reasons why i don't think it could be entirely unreciprocated is because 1) it doesn't fit into the general narrative and 2) we don't have time to deal with it, even if it did. for the first point, bad buddy is an entirely character-driven story - we see everything from pat and pran's perspectives, with the exception of inkpa scenes, which are there for a very specific reason, and korn having unreciprocated feelings for someone is not a storyline that makes sense for us to get into, because some scenes would then have to be korn-centric, which i can't imagine happening. with waikorn, im imagining something like them talking about it in some big final scene (once again, like mil and phukong) or them just glancing at each other in a particular way, nothing too big. for the second point, there'd have to be some reason for this storyline - possibly, showing this kind of an experience - but that would need to manifest in at least two conversations between korn and someone else on the subject, and i just don't think it fits into what's going to happen in our last two episodes (or likely just the finale, considering how patpran-centric episode 11 will be).
hopefully, this clears everything up! we'll see if i'm right in less than two weeks.
#also thank you so much for your kind words! i hope ur doing well!#bad buddy#archer responds#saturn anon#archer's meta

i'm just gonna crosspost my wwdits ep 9 rant from twitter to here so excuse/ignore the formatting cos i'm too lazy to change it but like:
absolutely fucked what they did to marwa and guillermo ep9 - like i dont understand why any modicum of character development nandor gets has to be nerfed by the fact that he just wont grow up from an unchanging uncaring moron who chooses not to see his actions are wrong
nandor is my favorite and its misery inducing to see any positive change in his personality continue to get erased by him doing something twice as fucked up than the last thing he did EVERY season. any growth and love and friendship between guillermo and nandor is always ruined by nandor. and at this point i'm like - if nandermo doesnt become canon thats fine, i'm not one of those babies crying about being "queerbaited" (what) by the writers because they thought this was the "nandermo show" and not a show about 5+ separate people
like i'm so sad that they hinted at freddie all season, finally had guillermo come out, then used the 2nd to last ep to not only introduce but do away with freddie and ruin guillermo's life again - AT THE EXPENSE OF RUINING MARWA'S LIFE TOO?? WTF DID SHE DO???
i dont necessarily agree with the people saying that nadja got fucked over for no reason because she was taking heavy advantage of baby colin and was abusing all of her workers and acted like the club would work w/out colin or the wraiths and was *SO* awful to them, i think the biggest issue w nadja is that like nandor she really benefitted from zero character development. out of everyone its laszlo who actually got *better* which is saying something considering his past actions. like even guillermo didnt really get much development - okay sure he came out which i love but i mean he still wont be independent, ultimately unless the last ep changes this he'll just stay in the pattern of leaving and coming back over and over because nandor manages to nice his way back into guillermo's good graces somehow
i have hopes for seasons 5 and 6 that maybe guillermo will finally start truly standing up for himself re: lasz and nadja, but esp nandor and FORCE nandor to make good on his promise - with or without the caveat of nandermo potentially becoming canon. like nandermo becoming canon isnt why i watch the show, its a fun little "will they/won't they" that's been hinted @ bcos of their strange relationship - believe it or not people can have weird sexual tension *without* ever ending up together, that doesnt mean you were lied to
anyway i mean overall i enjoyed the season, it has numerous numerous great moments and hopefully ep10 will make the misery and woe of ep9 pay off in some way or else we're gonna have to wait a year or two to see how that pans out...............

did cas really tell dean to kneel before their new god? did that actually happen? i thought him beating the shit out of dean in that alley was the most unrestrainedly horny thing this show had ever done ACTUALLY you know what scratch that new question: top horny moments from the cw's supernatural (2005 - 2020)
getting this ask feels like my sins of the last week have been weighed against the Trials I Have Gone Through since the premier of supernatural on the wb in september of 2005 and I’m not sure if it is a punishment or reward
some notes before we begin:
the ep with dean’s male siren was like, conceptually horny but not actually that horny because the dude was uglie. I’m sorry to this man
all you sam girls out there. I respect you but I do not respect jared padalecki who is JUST tall and has zero sex appeal. but those eps where he’s like, drinking ruby’s blood and then eating her pussy are. you know. I’ll give you that
I am ONLY UP TO SEASON 10 so fair warning this is not comprehensive but the horniness does seem to drop off sharply after the mark of cain is no longer in play lol gotta love a good demon murder tattoo plot
this is easily the most insane thing I’ve ever done, including the destiel manifesto
S1 EP12: the scene where dean gets healed by the faith healer, on his knees with a hand in his hair and looking somewhere between religious ecstasy, brain death and an orgasm. starting this list off great
S1 EP22: azazel possessing john winchester. no I will not explain further if u know u know <3
S3 EP10: dean being taunted by a dream version of himself, this is where we first got the daddy’s blunt little instrument line. still burned in my hippocampus a good 13 years later thank yew
S4 EP1: dean crawling out of his own grave covered in grave dirt. hot. the HANDPRINT. HOT. also tangent but this reveal after the s3 finale was WILD back in 2008 I hollered in my dorm room after canvassing for obama. simpler times man
S4 EP 1: cas’ intro scene. the barn. the shadow wings. the hair??? getting stabbed in the chest by the man you just pulled out of hell. getting aaaallll up in that personal space. his little eyebrow. “you don’t think you deserve to be saved.” OUTRAGEOUSLY FLAMING
S4 EP02: “I dragged you out of hell I can throw you back in.” <<< this angel tops. mark dean down as scared and horny etc
S4 EP16: this ENTIRE EPISODE but specifically the part where dean tortures alastair as some kind of foreplay and then alastair kicks his ass. carved you into a new animal. jesus.
S4 EP16: wait I forgot about the part where cas also gets his ass kicked and looks all....hm. dazed and covered in blood while he’s on his knees and about to die. yeah.
S5 EP4: I mean this entire ep is unfairly horny considering everyone is dying of a zombie plague and hasn’t showered in like, 4 years but if I had to pick one hmmm. the dean/dean interrogation scene with the panty kink yeah I know it’s not original but hm. it happened. also misha collins just being able to convey that CAS IS A FLEXIBLE SLUT with a single roll of his shoulders. who SAYS this man can’t act!!!!!
S5 EP18: the ALLEY SCENE. DEAN DOESN’T FIGHT BACK. CAS HOLDS HIM UP OFF THE GROUND AND THEN THROWS HIM ACROSS THE ALLEY. WHY DID EVERYONE THINK CAS COULDN’T TOP. you all had brainworms.
S5 EP18: when cas locks dean in the panic room to stop him from saying yes to michael and “well cas not for nothing but the last person who looked at me like that I got laid” I hate this show. wait I think the blow me cas line is in this episode too what the fuck were they on here
S6 EP5: the scene where dean gets turned into a vampire. between the old dude who I think calls dean a pretty boy (??) and soulless sam....watching??? no ******* but there were just some absolutely foul energies in that scene and I still do not understand WHAT they were thinking
S6 EP20: cas doing a double smite on two demons by slamming them to the ground and then shoving another demon back in its vessel and then smiting him in the same motion. TOP. ENERGY.
S6 EP22: season 6 is possibly cas’ horniest season because he’s like, going through angel puberty after getting his first boner for dean, but the final cas eps are. whoof. cas eats a bunch of souls and proclaims himself to be a new god in order to handle said boner, and then the season ends with cas telling them to bow down and profess their love to him, their new lord, or he will destroy them. note: the way this is framed makes it look like cas is only staring at dean while he says this, even though sam and bobby are also there. the season ends with dramatic zooms on both cas and dean’s faces respectively. this made me actively regret ditching this show after s5 lol
S8 EP??: literally EVERY SINGLE PURGATORY FLASHBACK. cas dean and benny are all purgatory hot in the “pop 10 cranberry pills and risk the UTI” kind of way but also. dean being the hot girl bottom between two tops who hate each other. I really. whew. I need to go take a shower.
S8 EP17: if I get canceled for including the crypt scene on this list I blame you bud. but dean on his knees begging a brainwashed cas to stop killing him WAS sexy. how many times has dean been on his knees in this list wait there’s another one coming up next jsldjfsldkjf
S9 EP2: abaddon getting dean on his knees (YEAH) and pulling his hair and praising him for always coming when called HELLO???? the only thing that ruins this is dean says “I can’t tell if we’re gonna fight or make out” because this is the CW and they won’t let him say fuck
S9 EP6: ah. this entire episode is Emotionally Horny but the horny horny part is when they’re in the car and dean is telling cas to unbutton his shirt and. watches. I know this was on my destiel manifesto but I need it here too
S9 EP9: cas, covered in blood, slitting another angel’s throat and eating his grace after getting tortured. that shot alone made me understand why this website was so goddamn horny for misha collins for nearly a damn decade
S9 EP11: MARK OF CAIN BABEY. cain watching dean beat up a bunch of demons as an audition for taking on the mark, while crowley also is a fucking voyeur to the whole thing. cain is also a hot silver fox with daddy energies. I said what I said
S9 EP 16: dean getting the first blade. he’s chained to a pillar and being menaced by a foppish dandy who wants to add him to his “collection” (WOW). dean then kills him with the blade and whew. murder is sexy sometimes
S9 EP21: dean being pinned against a wall by abaddon’s power, then using the mark of cain to break her hold, calling the first blade to him psychically and then killing her. god the mark of cain is hot
S9 EP23: dean waking up with the demon eyes NUT
S10 EP2: demon dean beating up that dude with the boring backstory and kicking his ass. really was a go on baby I got your flower moment because I hated that dude and I love demon dean
S10 EP3: demon dean being chained up and taunting sam about how his brother is gone, then hunting sam through the bunker. demon dean in general was VERY fun for me, someone who loves trash
S10 EP9: dean going berserk and killing a bunch of pedophile rapists/child abusers. I’m sorry I know this show is trying to preach morality at me about monsters and unnecessary murder and humanity or whatever but we blew past that like 8 SEASONS AGO. also the mark of cain is sexy
S10 EP14: the rest of this list is really gonna be mark of cain stuff isn’t it look I’m here to have fun. cain and dean’s fight. cain continuously tossing his mane of hair back and taunting dean with the picture of what he’s going to become, who he’s going to kill. dean begging cain to tell him that he can stop, and then ultimately killing him. rip daddy.
S11 EP4: again I have not watched this however. every shot of this episode is PRESTIGE TELEVISION because driving a muscle car is sexy. and especially the shot of dean all beat to hell and begging his car to start and giving her a little kiss from his fingers to her dash. ugh. masculinity.
S12 EP10: the bearded salt-and-pepper daddy look returns, only it’s an angel this time and he’s wearing a vest and shirtsleeves and he swordfights with a hot redheaded lady in a suit and an eyepatch. this show is good sometimes!!! and oh fuck lol I just realized this is the same guy who played krissy’s hot hunter dad in s7 probably the first guy who’s hotter as an angel than a hunter. huh.
S12 EP 11: dean riding larry the mechanical bull to “broomstick cowboy.” I have no idea where this factors into the ep but I have seen. the youtube clip
S13 EP23: from what I can tell s13 is way more emotionally horny than boner horny, although dean burning cas’ body was sexy. but the horniest part was dean saying yes to michael and then michael taking over and saying “thanks for the suit.” we are going to ignore the silliest fight scene in existence as well as the final shot ending on a FREEZE FRAME like a goddamn tiktok
S14: not gonna pick a specific moment because I have not watched yet!!! but michael dean is hot. idk why michael is weirdly hot and I cannot stand any iteration of lucifer on this television programme. it should be the reverse but I’m forever an older sibling stan apparently. someone who is catholic could probably explain this better.
S15 EP13: genevieve padalecki and danneel ackles fight flirting as ruby and anael I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY HELD OUT ON THIS TILL THE LAST SEASON
I know I am missing things but this is already an absolutely incomprehensible screed. I know I’m missing shit from the latter seasons but give me time I’m pacing myself

S5 Ep10: Kaiba Embarrasses Himself on International Television Again
We start off this duel by teasing us into believing that this is a part of a theme park:
The Kaiba theme park is a weird mix of actual horrorscapes and animal crossing cutesy stuff...you can really tell what parts were Mokuba and what parts were Seto in this park.
But Leon takes it well, just kinda standing there as he’s done this entire arc--being a general forgettable nice boy who just...doesn’t do anything. Like he gets up, he plays cards, he sits down. Having him on top of a rock with melodramatic Little Mermaid waves crashing at his feet is laughably the opposite of Leon’s whole vibe.
Leon just seems like the type that listens to coffee shop ambient Youtube videos when he wants to amp himself up. This kid appears to attend a private school...somewhere...I think, and just went to a dueling competition in his school outfit because he literally doesn’t have a style of his own hanging in his closet.
Like Yugi wears his school outfit, but he does that ironically, to off-set the amount of makeup and hair spray he has in his hair. Leon wears the school outfit maybe because he admires Yugi so much, but is like “time for my rogue bow I wear in my hair. That’ll scare my competition.” He completely missed the point of the 00′s alt school outfit scene.
I do way too much art to not see the imagery. I feel like this is half my job, and playing “where’s the hidden Freudian meaning?” is half the fun of going to any art museum.
(read more under the cut)
Anyway, Seto got tired of no one paying any attention to him, so he stepped out of his 14-monitor mancave, he very quickly pulled his Dragon outfit out of the (dirty) laundry, flicked a couple sea crabs out of his pockets, spritzed it with Febreeze and called it “good enough.”
Like, is it just me, or has dragon jacket greyed out a tad from last season? Like it’s starting to get a little...worn? Like what funk is coming off of Seto Kaiba right now?
Also notice that he brought his giant stash of cards to the duel. He’s going to put on this show as if he’s not going to pull out the giant stash of cards. But like...he’s going to pull out the giant stash of cards. Like Hell boring ass Leon is going to play his deck of Candyland characters again.
Leon is declared a winner on Technicality and it’s like.
Damn Seto, for reals?
So congrats, Leon, you did literally nothing, again, and yet you mystifyingly persist on this show. Clearly you aren‘t going to grow a second head out of that ponytail like professor Quirrel in the last act of this arc.
That’s when Yugi’s hazy memory recalls something from the Before Times of “that time period before I was possessed by a needy ghost that eats up 3/4 of my memories and time.”
So Schroeder is Atari. Neat.
Also, this makes Zigfrieds outfits a hell ton more endearing when you realize he’s this Willy Wonka game company owner making toys for children. Kinda makes you wonder why Seto’s such a stick up the ass in comparison when it’s like--dude Kaiba, maybe you could learn a thing or two about whimsy. It could really help out your inconsistent park.
Anyway, Kaiba quickly realized who hacked the park and so, understandably, he asked Zigried to leave, which...backfired?
Y’all card culture is a lot. Everyone in the audience covered their faces in shame because they were so embarrassed by Seto Kaiba and I’m like...not sure why? Because he didn’t do a duel? Against this guy who snuck into his tourney not unlike Rex and Weevil? This asshole?
Recall that the last time Seto played a guy who had a fake name it was Marik freakin Ishtar and he killed a LOT of people (actually, it was Alister, pretending to be Pegasus, but he also killed a lot of people so that still tracks). Card culture can’t seem to learn from their mistakes, although Seto clearly sees the problem with dueling a professional hacker in a digital card game on a hologram that may or may not be able to murder you. At least its not a magic.
And so, tired of being humiliated on television, Seto decides to bust out the dueling gloves (well, not those gloves. You know what I meant) and use the equipment he BROUGHT WITH HIM and clearly never intended not to use in the first place.
(I hope you enjoy this dutch angle that wasn’t quite dutch enough, so it just looks like they’re lounging)
Roland patiently walks over from...somewhere? I don’t know where Roland comes from whenever he pops up, but he waltzed over to hold onto this suitcase as if that’s a formal part of his job.
I say this so often but like...I don’t know what Roland’s job is. He’s like a valet/butler/duel referee/duel cheerleader/CEO/and I will spend the rest of this series trying to understand it. Part of me is like...could Roland be a temp worker at an agency who just gets rehired for a different Kaiba Corp job every couple of weeks?
That weird ass fourthKaiba, I will never understand Roland.
Just one letter away from being a Zigfriend, Kaiba. Just one letter away. I know this because I misspell friend a LOT.
Zigfreind? Zigfriend? Damn it, both of them look the freakin same to me, this sucks! Why can’t I spell friend without autocorrect!?
Just the amount these two fight when Seto clearly barely even remembers who this guy even is.
Leon shows up in the seats, pretending that he’s totally cool about winning on a technicality right after Zigfried went on a rant about how shameful, irredeemable, and mortally embarrassing winning on technicalities are.
He seems to take it pretty well, smiling, sitting next to Rebecca, and then dissolving right into the background because this kid’s whole deal is being way too nice to exist on this show.
Y’all we just had that art meme where people were redrawing that “How to draw manga face” and guys...that’s what our anime used to look like.
I mean look at that uncomfortable chin there, that tapers in for some reason. Those eyes melting off of her face. The lack of any 3d sense. This was an anime ideal for a very, very long time.
Anyway, the “how to draw manga face” is a perfect masterpiece and never needs to change. (But it is fun to make fun of it although I guess the person that drew it was actually a kid, which makes sense from a publishing perspective to have a kid make a book about how to draw stuff for kids.)
We see a little flashback of Schroeder and why he hates Seto Kaiba, and can I just say, I kind of love this little outfit. Kind of a shame that it’s stuffed into a flashback.
Which is when we found out that Zigfried thinks Seto Kaiba did a plagiarism.
Which is hilarious because it was Gozaburo Kaiba who was plagiarizing Seto, so like...who did it first?
OK guys. Lets talk about this.
APPARENTLY, there was some sort of contest to work with Pegasus...kind of like an architecture contest (which is a thing, when a city is doing a big project, they send out a call, and big firms will compete to see who builds it) and I GOTTA know what Pegasus’ theme was.
Like did he say to all the little rich kid geniuses “I would like something that makes my cards ALIVE, can you do that?” Then when Pegasus got a hell ton of holograms and was he like “But ALIVE--it makes it alive, right boy?” And when he was shaking the hands of each stupid kid was he like “So if I hypothetically put my dead wife on a card and slapped it into the machine--could she EXIST. Like...enough? I just need her to legally exist is all, and not like..literally of course...but enough literally to be a sin against God, can you do that?”
I just want to know if Willy Wonka Wonderkid Von Schroeder had any idea he was creating a resurrection chamber for a dark wizard. Like he has no idea that he dodged getting his business bought straight from under him and his soul shoved into a card. And it’s not like Schroeder was going to abduct Yugi’s Grandpa and ensure that Yugi would be there to save him down the road. Like I’m pretty sure Schroeder would have been sacrificed waaay before that whole island contest even went down.
Zigfried got so freakin lucky. I can’t believe he’s mad. But then again...
...the man swims in milk pools so like...maybe his logic center is busted? Maybe he wanted to die in a horrific murder island? I don't know what Zigfried is into, but I do know that because Zigfried doesn’t have millennium rod powers linking him to the millennium eye--so would it have mattered? There’s destiny reasons that Pegasus chose Kaiba.
Course...we never found out where the scales ended up, have we? We think it’s Shadi, but have we seen Shadi bust those out since Season Zero?
Man that would be a good plot twist that will absolutely not happen.
Yo, make horse guy into a dark wizard, show, I dare you!
Anyway, that’s all for now, but if you want to read from the beginning, here’s the link:

okay okay okay.
initially, I started kiss me again the series because I wanted to watch Kao & Pete.
and they're great I love them, but they aren't the reason I kept watching.
I fell in love with the sisters plots, even tho sanson made me very very uncomfortable in the beginning.
i loved sanwan and her decision/want to put study first. I love how she kept her glasses even tho everyone told her she looks better without them (yes I am ignoring that she took them off in the end, because it *was* the very end)
i loved sansuay and her boyfriend. (I may just like his actor. saw a few shows where he's always miserable. I just want him to be happy damn it (yes I started watching 1000 stars bc of this)) sansuay is a great and fantastic woman and I'm sad she's not personally in S2.
but, what I loved most, was Sandee and her friends. the group is just very wholesome (besides the initial Pete/Kao problem). the way they always try to talk things out and just their way of treating each other makes me wanna have exactly this experience when I go to uni.
all of the sisters know what they want and where their boundaries are. they communicate them too and that is amazing.
okay, but as I said, I'm already in S2 EP10 and my love for the series deepened.
First of all. the toxic, manipulative piece of shit that calls sanrak his girlfriend is not getting romantisized. everyone around her keeps telling her that he's an asshole. the series manages to show how a toxic relationship manipulates good people into staying with the abuser. sanrak is not at fault at all. she's the victim of a lying fucking asshole.
as in s1, the friendgroup around Sandee, thada, June, Kao and Pete is 10/10. I love how they make fun of each other but also worry and care. the boys let Sandee be like she is and don't try to force "feminity" on her while also supporting the other girls. I think that's absolutely amazing and we need more of this.
the latest thing I want to point out is the Sandee pregnant plot? like,,, I've seen my fair share of Thai dramas and I'd never have thought that they'd go that far. while I'm 100% sure that she's not actually pregnant (it just seems unlikely that she'll have a child. I also doubt they'd go so far and let her have an abortion) I am positively surprised that they decided to go for that plot twist. it just feels very realistic and I'm so glad I decided to watch the show. seriously. if you usually watch BL series and are not sure if this franchise is worth it, watch it. S2 has so far zero gay moments (Pete and Kao are in it, but closeted and there's no plot around them) but it's still so worth it.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this is by far my most favourite Thai drama and I'm not even finished yet...
#kiss me again the series#kiss the series#okay but i love sandee and i wanna be like her#so bear with me

I'm not an overly optimistic person but I still agree. Regardless of the finale synopsis, nothing about the state of Malex right now is comparable to s1. Last season they were falling apart and Michael was drifting away from Alex in the last few episodes while Alex was fighting for them. M&M was foreshadowed in ep10&11. This season is the reverse. Alex gave up on a future for them and Michael will end up fighting for him in the next 2 eps. It makes no sense to go back on that in the finale. (1)
I don't believe they'll be back together immediately (I foolishly hope Michael can stay single for a while to deal with some things even if it's too much to ask from a CW show) but maybe Michael will be done running away from what he really wants and decides to fight for it. That would be a nice parallel to Alex's s1 arc. Even if Forlex happens, I can't see Alex seriously dating him long term if Michael becomes a real possibility. (2)
Hi anon!
I agree! I’m not making any connections between where I see Malex now and where they were at the end of last seasons. Especially where Alex is concerned, Alex has had such an incredible journey this season with the growth he’s made. As much as I am not a m!luca fan from episode 9 on we knew it was gonna be a thing. There was zero denying it. I may not have expected it to go down the way it did in the finale but I knew it was a path they were going to go down and it was gonna be unavoidable.
Let be real they aren’t gonna have Alex be kidnapped, Michael go on what appears to be a rampage and according to Vlamis he will do ANYTHING to get Alex back and than have his storyline for the remainder of the season, which as of now appears it will continue to revolve around Alex, mean nothing and be swept under the rug. This is absolutely leading somewhere. We’ve seen Alex come to terms with their relationship and his feelings for Micheel and wanting to start fresh and truly get to know each other. He has defended Michale multiple times to other people, you can truly see that Alex truly understand Michael. Alex has shown Michael he’s done walking away. Unfortunately it’s rare we’re all on the same page at the same time. Michael has been determined to try something new this season, regardless of how he feels about Alex and we knew as of the finale last season he still loves, present tense here, but he still wanted to move on from it for now. Michael has seen recently that Alex will show up when he needs him, all he has to do is ask.
The fight in the bunker was a long time coming, Alex needed to get all of that off his chest and you can see on Michael’s face that he was genuinely taking in what he was saying, even at the end when he wiped the tear away, what Alex said truly got to Michael. So I think we are starting to see a turn right there for Malex, so to have Alex disappear right after that is really gonna have Michael’s head spinning. I genuinely think this is all leading up to Michael truly realizing what he wants and how much he loves Alex and wants to be with him. The fear of losing someone can instantly put a lot of things into perspective and push away the bullshit of it all and realize what truly matters in life.
I agree with you I don’t see a Malex reunion happening by seasons end at all but I think it’s gonna make the path to getting there a lot easier and clearer. I still can’t get a read on what is going on with Alex and Forrest, part of me thinks it’s gonna not amount to an actual relationship but maybe he’s just gonna be someone who helps Alex be more open and accepting of himself. I feel like to have something happen in the finale would feel a bit off to me because in my opinion there’s been no real build up. Plus with Alex being kidnapped and than the finale it seems his storyline is with Michael and Jesse I just don’t see how there’s gonna be time to build up his relationship with Forrest during these last couple episodes and we still have the question of his Forrest good or bad. So I’m leaning towards both Alex and Michael to be singles by seasons end and I know Tyler alluded to him seeing that season three could be the season that we see Malex working their way back together and how are they gonna do while being in relationships. I think Forlex have a better shot at being a couple next season than M!luca but im not fully convinced of it yet.

Just the fact that Yuuri looked at the photo of Victor & Chris at the pool in ep10 and scrolled past it without so much as raising a brow SHOULD be proof enough that he's not going to be the jealous type. He trusts Victor, and he's secure in their relationship. I was waiting for the jealousy trope to happen in that scene and I was SO HAPPY when it was an absolute zero for conflict. It's so rare to see genuinely healthy relationships in popular media that kids don't know what to do with it, imo.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes I love that about them.

May 5 Bevel’s Movie Night - Tin Man ep1 & Steven Universe ep10-12
Bevel is back!
Prowl and Soundwave left immediately after the Tin Man episode, because they’re tired. Which is just as well, because Tin Man had a lot of nonconsensual mnemosurgery-analogous junk, and that was a bit much for Prowl, so it’s a good thing he didn’t stick around to see the Giant Woman episode and ensuing discussion of combiners.
Me 7:55 pm ((im appreciating the drunk history)) Bevel 7:56 pm ((sadly the full episodes aren't on youtube but the hints of hilarity are fun too Me 7:56 pm ((indeed)) Me 8:07 pm ((he's on the frigging floor omg)) Bevel 8:07 pm ((he's showing us where Teddy Roosevelt is Me 8:08 pm ((a very dedicated historian)) Me 8:10 pm ((the lip syncing is always so good in these)) Tarantulas 8:10 pm (( i've never seen these before omg Bevel 8:10 pm ((lol drunk history is hilarious *This is how Bevel learns history from Ratchet, she loves this* Bevel 8:13 pm ((ok, starting in a few minutes if everyone's ready? ItsyBitsySpyers 8:14 pm ((yep)) Me 8:17 pm ((episode 3?)) Ratchet 8:17 pm [[ this music sounds really familiar ]] Bevel 8:17 pm ((lemme fix that ItsyBitsySpyers 8:17 pm *Soundwave trudges in and drops into his seat with no flourishes whatsoever.*
[[...You're back.]] Ratchet 8:18 pm *Ratchet pops in, as he does* Bevel 8:18 pm For a little bit. *grins* I know where the Star Saber is. ItsyBitsySpyers 8:18 pm *Sits up as much as he has the energy to do.*
[[Do you, now.]] Bevel 8:19 pm Hi, Ratchet! Ratchet 8:19 pm Heya. What're we watching? Bevel 8:19 pm Tin Man. It is about some world called Oz. ItsyBitsySpyers 8:20 pm [[...This does not look like the Emerald City.]] Ratchet 8:20 pm Well, she's got the dress. Bevel 8:21 pm And it is on a moon in one of the systems near the Denorios belt. ItsyBitsySpyers 8:21 pm *Glances at Ratchet.* [[Ah. You know it.]]
[[...Oz?]] Ratchet 8:21 pm Of course I do. Me 8:23 pm *appears late.* ItsyBitsySpyers 8:23 pm *Slithers a feeler out to wave.* Ratchet 8:24 pm *waves* Me 8:24 pm *looks around; nods vaguely at both of them.* Tarantulas 8:25 pm *hullo hullo, tis a spide* Bevel 8:25 pm Yeah, Oz. I could not find it on the maps of Earth I have so it must be somewhere else. Me 8:26 pm *it takes longer than usual for Prowl to decide where to sit; but finally, he drifts to Ratchet's couch and sits next to him.* ItsyBitsySpyers 8:27 pm [[...He does not recall Oz existing on a moon.]] Bevel 8:29 pm ...Oh! Oh no, the Star Saber is not in Oz. It is just a moon. ItsyBitsySpyers 8:30 pm *...He must be more tired than even he knew. He can't follow what she's saying at all.* Ratchet 8:31 pm *nods to Prowl* Me 8:31 pm *neither can prowl; but to be fair, he missed the first half of the conversation.* *nods to Ratchet.* Hello. Bevel 8:31 pm Hi, Prowl. Me 8:32 pm Hi. *leans his elbows on his knees. he's tired.* ItsyBitsySpyers 8:32 pm *Soundwave nods to the spide and sinks lower into his seat. Hrm. Comfier.* Bevel 8:32 pm Oz is what the documentary is about. The Star Saber is on a moon near Cardassia. Tarantulas 8:33 pm *oh nooooo. where to sit. decides to accompany soundwave on the slouchy couch* Bevel 8:33 pm *frowns worriedly* Are you ok, Prowl? Me 8:33 pm What? ItsyBitsySpyers 8:34 pm *If he wasn't wearing his visor, he'd be blinking.*
[[...They killed their spawn. Hm.]]
*Stretches a feeler lazily across Tarantulas' lap. He was gonna coil, but, nah. Too much work to maintain.* Tarantulas 8:34 pm *lazily pets the feeler, hello there* Bevel 8:35 pm Are you ok? Me 8:36 pm *he heard the question. he didn't understand it.* ......... Fine. *?????* ((i feel like there probably could have been a better name for winged monkeys than "mobats." it just doesn't quite roll off the tongue.)) Bevel 8:37 pm ((it really doesn't Tarantulas 8:37 pm (( bonkeys Me 8:37 pm ((I LIKE BONKEYS BETTER)) Tarantulas 8:37 pm (( ur welc Bevel 8:37 pm ((bonkeys omg Me 8:37 pm ((or winkeys.)) ItsyBitsySpyers 8:37 pm ((i see shang tsung has a sister)) Me 8:38 pm ((why are you smiling. why are you pleased to be promoted. she just dementored a man's soul in front of you. you're now in the line of fire.)) Me 8:39 pm ... If she swings, she can jump out of the bottom and onto that bridge. Me 8:41 pm *they LITERALLY REMOVED his BRAIN?* *oh prowl's just. he's having. so much bad luck at bevel's streams lately.* Bevel 8:42 pm *Bevel would be sorry if she knew* ItsyBitsySpyers 8:42 pm *Concern ping.* Me 8:42 pm *he laces his fingers together so he can't grab at his neck.* Ah. Like I said. ItsyBitsySpyers 8:42 pm [[.........Why build holes into...]] *Never mind. He's barely following it as it is.* Me 8:43 pm She keeps shouting. She's terrible at stealth. Tarantulas 8:43 pm She still thinks it's a dream, why should she care? *shakes helm* Me 8:44 pm *oh great. a high-ranked government official, too.* Bevel 8:46 pm That is too many words. Tarantulas 8:47 pm Oh... dear. Tarantulas 8:48 pm *so sorta like the opposite of the positive reinforcement prison hmm* ItsyBitsySpyers 8:49 pm [[How is he alive.]] [[Organics cannot survive long without fuel or liquids.]] Bevel 8:49 pm Maybe it fed him somehow? Tarantulas 8:50 pm Magic. Shhhh. *patpat* Bevel 8:51 pm He is a cop. Fancy badge. Me 8:52 pm In case he didn't notice, first sign of trouble, she charged at the culprits armed with a stick. "Cut and run" indeed. Bevel 8:53 pm He should give her a sword. Me 8:53 pm ((what's the point of an edgy wizard of oz reboot named tin man if the tin man isn't MADE of tin. we could've had a robot. cmon.)) Bevel 8:54 pm ((It's because the badges they wear are made of tin but i can't disagree because robocop would have been great Me 8:56 pm ((absolutely. wizard of oz robocop.)) ItsyBitsySpyers 9:01 pm *...Is that a thing someone could do to him.* Me 9:04 pm ... Why are they merely tracking this pack of obvious troublemakers, at least two of whom are known criminals, rather than—I don't know—sending out people to stop them. ItsyBitsySpyers 9:04 pm [[Budget cuts?]] Bevel 9:05 pm *giggles* Me 9:06 pm ((see? we could've had a robot tinman)) ((a weird... steampunk fallout robot tinman)) Me 9:09 pm ... "We were programmed to be your parents" means "We were your parents." Why do organics have so much problem with the concept that "something's programmed to be" means the same thing as "something IS"? Bevel 9:09 pm Humans are really caught up on the whole organic thing. Me 9:10 pm Hm. They are. At least the mecha are portrayed positively in this. ... This must have been made before the invasion. Bevel 9:11 pm She took being burned really well. Me 9:11 pm ((i like how he just casually brands one of the most sensitive parts of her body and she just stands there and takes it.)) Tarantulas 9:11 pm *heavy squinting at like 99% of this* Bevel 9:11 pm ((magic branding idek? Me 9:12 pm Oh. She got over her crisis quickly. That's pretty good for an organic. ItsyBitsySpyers 9:12 pm *Soundwave thinks this must be a timeline branch or something. It looks nothing like the Oz he saw both times Dorothy went.* Me 9:14 pm *djddjdjjj do they have to keep talking about the zipper* ItsyBitsySpyers 9:14 pm ((it was so tempting just now to have him go WHO THOUGHT ABOUT THE DJD TWICE in asterisks)) Tarantulas 9:15 pm (( omfg Bevel 9:15 pm ((lol Me 9:15 pm ((IT WAS AN UNFORTUNATE MENTAL ONOMATOPOEIA)) ((it's the sound of a shudder)) Me 9:17 pm *at this point has very little respect for this mockery of a law enforcement agent.* Bevel 9:18 pm *has decided she likes Raw and DG best, they're the nicest* Me 9:19 pm Why does he keep throwing him around?! He's COOPERATING. That's COMPLETELY unnecessary and unjustifiable. *and mnemosurgery interrogation now. god.* Bevel 9:27 pm *frowns sadly at this poor guy* Me 9:29 pm Considering his behavior, I don't think his word "as a tin man" is worth much at this point. Bevel 9:29 pm Maybe he was a nicer person before getting locked up? Me 9:30 pm Which is why I say it's not worth much /at this point./ Maybe he was. He isn't now. Bevel 9:31 pm Maybe he can be again if he is willing to swear to protect DG instead of going after that Zero guy? Me 9:31 pm Hmph. Until he HAS protected her, his word to do so isn't worth much. Ratchet 9:35 pm [[ i hate her outfit ]] Bevel 9:35 pm ((it's so ridiculous Tarantulas 9:37 pm (( i wanna start singing let it go Me 9:38 pm ((omg)) Bevel 9:40 pm That is a really neat power. Me 9:43 pm ... Maybe she should have gotten her somewhere safe BEFORE whispering secrets to her. Bevel 9:48 pm *mimics Swoop* Him dead. ItsyBitsySpyers 9:48 pm *Huff.* *Stretch.* [[He is pleased to see you back... but will be more when you have the sword.]] [[For now, he is...]] *No, no. Don't be truthful.* [[He has things to do.]] Bevel 9:51 pm Aw ok. Tarantulas 9:51 pm *gives sw a mental goodbye before they lose touch* ItsyBitsySpyers 9:52 pm *Bobs his helm and gets to his feet with the tiniest wobble. Takes a moment to rebalance himself, nods to everyone present - Tarantulas gets a mental goodbye as well, and Prowl an affection ping - and shuffles out.* Bevel 9:52 pm *she saw that and now she's worried* Me 9:52 pm *returns the affection ping.* *he COULD switch who he's projecting his avatar through; but he thinks that he prefers to "have things to do," too.* *he disappears. he forgot to say goodbye to anyone.* Bevel 9:54 pm *welp* Tarantulas 9:54 pm *nooo prowllllll* *slumps low on the lonely slouchy couch* Bevel 9:56 pm Are Prowl and Soundwave ok? They left really early. 😔 Me 9:57 pm ((I don't know what's a funnier line, "STEVEN'S PREGNANT?!" or "I don't think so.")) Bevel 9:58 pm ((both? Tarantulas 9:58 pm I - don't know. Bevel 9:58 pm (("bet you're not even pregnant" I forgot about that part omg Bevel 10:00 pm Oh. Tarantulas 10:02 pm *folds his arms over his chestplates as he watches* I get the impression you're not alone in having a mission of sorts lately, though. Me 10:06 pm ((how did they get away with calling it meat beat mania)) Bevel 10:07 pm *looks at him for a long moment...* So secret stuff? Tarantulas 10:07 pm You could say that, yes. Bevel 10:12 pm Ugh. *flops back with a loud CLANG of metal* Well I am gonna do not secret stuff. Like steal my sword back. I hope Soundwave and Prowl are ok soon. Tarantulas 10:13 pm /Steal/ your sword? I thought it was yours. Bevel 10:13 pm Yeah but someone else is saying /he/ found it. Bevel 10:15 pm He can not even use it. Bet it is just stuck it a rock again like it was on Earth. Tarantulas 10:16 pm Who's "he"? Bevel 10:16 pm The bot saying he found it. I do not know his name. *more like she doesn't remember it* Bevel 10:18 pm Fusions sound like combiners. Tarantulas 10:18 pm I suppose it doesn't matter, since he'll be out of your circuits shortly anyhow. Bevel 10:18 pm Exactly. Tarantulas 10:19 pm And hyeh, I can see what you mean - although two-bot combiners are hardly commonplace in my universe at least. Bevel 10:20 pm How many bots in a combiner in your universe? Tarantulas 10:21 pm It's variable, but on average? Five. Bevel 10:22 pm *ticks them off on her fingers* So... head. Torso. Arms and legs? Tarantulas 10:22 pm Roughly, hyeh. Often the head and torso are one. Bevel 10:23 pm ...so what is the fifth bot if the head and torso are one person? *rolls over onto her stomach to look at Tarantulus* Are they the crotch? Tarantulas 10:24 pm Two arms, two legs, one main body. *squints* ...I think /you/ might be the tired one here. Bevel 10:26 pm No wait... *counts again. One, two, three, oh yeah, I counted wrong. Bevel 10:28 pm What is the most bots in a combiner you have ever seen? Tarantulas 10:31 pm That I've ever SEEN? I've only ever seen one with six members - but I've heard whispers of one comprised of twelve mecha before. (( "i have a full vagina" omg Bevel 10:31 pm ((lol Bevel 10:34 pm Whoa, twelve. That would be... two arms, two legs, head, chest, crotch, um, two feet and hands and uhhhhhh Tarantulas 10:35 pm *snickers* The combiner in question didn't possess an anthropomorphic frame. Bevel 10:36 pm ...so a big mess of bodies smashed together? Tarantulas 10:39 pm Nono, well - I suppose one could say that of /any/ combiner, but what I mean to say is that I don't know this one's particular mode, but it wasn't a discombobulated mess like you're implying. *rubbing a little at his face and stretching, slipping even further down and almost off the couch* Bevel 10:46 pm *waits a second to see if he will, when he doesn't she keeps talking* Katamari combiner. Tarantulas 10:47 pm Pfft. I'm sure it's happened somewhere sometime. Bevel 10:48 pm ((I will never not find Alexander Hamilton's extra ass fucking response to being accused of embezzlement hilarious Tarantulas 10:53 pm (( omg i'm getting distracted by actually watching these histories Bevel 10:54 pm ((same lol Bevel 10:56 pm ((and then Tara and Bevel learned Earth history from drunk humans the rest of the night? Tarantulas 10:56 pm (( sounds good lmao Bevel 10:57 pm ((Hamilton's torrid affair is the most important part of his story yep Bevel 10:58 pm ((aw yiss Edith Wilson
