I bet Chad and Chloe grew up thinking they were allergic to pumpkin.
Like, after Cinderella and Charming got married and their story got famous, whenever people wanted to give Cindy gifts, it was pumpkin themed. And it was cute at first! But after, like, a decade of being gifted nothing but pumpkin shaped, pumpkin scented, and pumpkin flavored things, Cindy definitely got sick of it.
When Chad and Chloe were born, though, they were both absolutely enamored with their parents' story because of course they were! And they wanted to have pumpkin everything! But Cindy was So Completely And Entirely Done With It that she just told them they were allergic pumpkins and that it was a side effect of Fairy Godmother's spell.
Chad doesn't find out until he catches Fairy Godmother in the hallway one day and decides to ask her about it. She says that that's complete nonsense and he loses his mind. He and Audrey make plans to go out that Halloween and eat all of the pumpkin flavored stuff they can find. His favorite is baked pumpkin seeds, which they made themselves after carving jack o' lanterns. He also starts drinking mainly pumpkin spice lattes purely for the name, even though they both know there isn't any actual pumpkin in it.
Chloe finds out because she explains it to Red while Red is eating a pumpkin pie she got for lunch and Red tells her that that is complete and utter bullshit. Chloe doesn't believe her, so Red writes to Maddox, who then confirms that that is complete and utter bullshit. The next day, Chloe decides to get some pumpkin pie.
Chloe is allergic to pumpkin, though, it's just completely unrelated to magic. She has a really bad allergic reaction in the middle of the cafeteria and misses school that day. Chloe never stops bringing it up and Red never stops apologizing.

🍁Welcome to Fall/Autumn🍁 | Part 2
Tumblr media
We've all heard of seasonal depression, but did you know it is a real medical condition? The Cleveland Clinic states, "Seasonal depression, also called seasonal affective disorder (SAD), is a type of depression. It’s triggered by the change of seasons and most commonly begins in late fall. Symptoms include feelings of sadness, lack of energy, loss of interest in usual activities, oversleeping, and weight gain." Preparing for fall to prevent or alleviate seasonal depression, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), involves proactive steps to maintain your mental and emotional well-being as the days get shorter and the weather becomes colder.
Here are some strategies to help you prepare for fall and mitigate the symptoms of SAD:
Light Therapy: Consider investing in a light therapy box, also known as a lightbox. These devices mimic natural sunlight and can help alleviate the symptoms of SAD. Use the lightbox in the morning for about 20-30 minutes to regulate your circadian rhythm and boost your mood.
Maintain a Regular Schedule: Stick to a consistent daily routine, including regular wake-up and sleep times. This can help regulate your body's internal clock and improve your mood.
Get Outside: Make an effort to spend time outdoors, even on cloudy days. Exposure to natural light, even when it's overcast, can be beneficial. Take short walks during daylight hours or eat lunch outside if possible.
Exercise Regularly: Engaging in regular physical activity has been shown to be effective in combating depression. Find an indoor or outdoor exercise routine that you enjoy, such as yoga, dancing, or jogging.
Healthy Eating: Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Consider adding foods high in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon or flaxseeds, which may have mood-boosting benefits.
Stay Social: Isolation can worsen symptoms of depression. Stay connected with friends and loved ones, even if it means meeting virtually. Plan social activities or join clubs or groups that align with your interests.
Mindfulness and Meditation: Practice mindfulness or meditation techniques to reduce stress and increase self-awareness. Mindfulness can help you stay present and manage negative thought patterns.
Set Realistic Goals: Break your tasks and goals into smaller, manageable steps. Celebrate your achievements along the way to maintain a sense of accomplishment.
Therapy and Support: Consider therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which has been shown to be effective in treating SAD. A therapist can help you develop coping strategies and provide support during difficult times.
Medication: If your symptoms are severe or do not improve with other interventions, consult a healthcare professional about the possibility of medication to manage SAD symptoms.
Plan Fun Activities: Make a list of enjoyable fall activities and events you can look forward to, such as apple picking, pumpkin carving, or attending fall festivals.
Create a Cozy Environment: Make your living space warm and inviting. Decorate with soft blankets, warm colors, and items that make you feel comfortable and cozy.
Monitor Your Mood: Keep a mood journal to track your feelings and identify patterns. This can help you recognize when your symptoms worsen and when you might need extra support.
Stay Informed: Educate yourself about SAD and its symptoms. Knowing what to expect can help you take proactive steps to manage your mental health.
Consult a Healthcare Professional: If you suspect you have SAD or if your symptoms worsen, seek professional help. A healthcare provider can assess your condition and recommend appropriate treatment options.
Remember that everyone's experience with SAD is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. It's important to tailor your self-care and treatment plan to your individual needs. Don't hesitate to reach out for support from healthcare professionals or mental health experts if you're struggling with seasonal depression.

October 21 - 2023 Saturday
10:45am
My life doesn't have to be a tragedy.
12:27pm
I find myself doing a lot of talking here and not enough doing. Thats always been the problem. Thats what I'm doing right now, I'm basically just here to complain about the same old feelings and problems again. Not that they are especially acute right now. It just gets agonizing living in the same self made minor hell. It's like I'm never truly happy or I never truly feel secure. There's always something eating away at me, a feeling of dread and failure. Maybe I base my self opinion too much on what I'm doing and not enough on how hard I'm trying. And maybe I'm also not trying hard enough, not enough to make me proud of myself. Really all I can do it my best but I'm not even doing that right now. I'm wallowing, I wallow a lot. I want to be sad and helpless because deep down it's how I've learned to get the human connection I crave. But it doesn't even give me that, it gives me sympathy that I can't even appreciate because I'm literally not trying to get out of it. Even when I'm brutally honest with myself about this fact, I keep doing it. Thats what makes me feel like I'm broken. I know the problem but I haven't been able to make it go away. It's like I can't change. But I know if I keep trying, something will click.
I just took a hit and I'm going to do Inktober while it kicks in. Then I planned to play Legendary Tales until I sober up. This is something I wanted to do yesterday, I want to get immersed in this game for awhile. I think it'll be fun. I want this.
Also I admit this time I'm getting high because I'm trying to avoid my feelings right now. I shouldn't do that and don't intend to make a habit out of it. I'm just trying not to do the same thing I do every weekend.
12:01am
This morning I woke up with Daisy in call. It didn't last long though, she had to do some chores on her own. Right after, I showered and made sausage with rice, an oatmeal cookie, and a pear cup for breakfast. After that mom took me to Seeley to pick up a pumpkin at the store. I also got a meat stick and some gummy worms. And chips. I fumbled at the checkout multiple times but I didn't feel too awkward about it, they were honest mistakes and I was just trying to figure out what I did wrong. That cashier wasn't having it though, I'm upset I had to be "that" customer.
When I got home I took a small hit and did Inktober which it hit in the middle of. I had planned to dungeon crawl and I did but I spent a good half hour watching a youtube video about exploring dead games. When I did dungeoning I hung out in David's server and listened to them talk about drama that happened last night were someone had snapped at everyone and it was apparently a very big deal. I didn't really say anything, I was just there. I got off to make homemade soup for lunch which turned out good, 6/10 at least. Daisy was free towards the end of that so we hung out until I was done eating and carved pumpkins together. We watched Over the Garden Wall while carving. I attempted nightmare moon's moon and Daisy did a generic celestial design. Her's turned out great, mine was very rough. Mom was even questioning what it was supposed to be. Maybe tomorrow I can tidy it up with this machine mom has that's like a drill so I can smooth out the inner edges. When we were done she went to pick up her mom at the airport. I opened a drink and watched twitch/played TOTK untill she got back. I switched over to dungeoning and we hung out until bedtime.
Today I felt very depressed and was worried it would affect others, thats why I didn't speak in the group VC earlier. I also didn't want to affect Daisy's night so I didn't say anything about it. All day though I just wanted to talk about it because I feel insecure. I want to make sure I'm accepted even when I'm depressed about dumb things even though I know the answer already. Maybe I'm just farming sympathy though. I try not to bring anything up unless it's prompted. I'm just so out of touch with myself lately. I don't understand myself so I fail to understand others. I lowkey hate myself so I lowkey hate others. I feel alone because I am, I'm locked in my own mind behind my own defense mechanisms. I always feel like talking about it will make it better, especially with the person it directly effects. But I'm not sure it does, at least for very long. I'm always afraid I'm only doing damage to the relationship like I subconsciously try to do constantly. Is this just another way to intentionally destroy everything?

Headcanons For Task Force 141
simon ‘ghost’ riley, john ‘soap’ mactavish, kyle ‘gaz’ garrick, captain john price
Tumblr media
Summary: cute, random, and dumb headcanons about task force 141
Contains: SFW, literally just headcanons
A/N: hi! i wanted to do something small for you guys so i decided a headcanons post would be fine. you will probably find this a bit more boring than my usual stuff but i wanted to write something 😵‍💫💕
————————————————————————————
Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley
- Simon has the most contagious laugh on the planet. It first comes out as a belly laugh, loud and gruff, and then turns into a breathless wheeze if whatever he was laughing at was that funny.
- He hates coffee. He has tried to like it multiple times but he can’t take a proper sip without gagging. On occasion he will try it again to see if anything has changed
- Pumpkin carving king over here. It’s no surprise that he would be good at this, considering his knife skills. But he is so good at it.
- When he is with the team, he will secretly do everyones laundry and clean up the filth around the base. He is adamant about being clean and can’t stand when people smell bad.
- Simon is stupid good at bored games and things like chess. He isn’t very competitive, he is just smart.
John ‘Soap’ Mactavish
- Soap is definitely a picky eater. Like an extremely picky eater with a violent sweet tooth. Doesn’t eat spicy or sour food, only savoury and sweet things.
- Big cereal guy. Eats it as a snack, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, another snack, etc. His favorite cereal is Kellogs Shreddies.
- When he is at home and gets the chance, he watches stand up comedy shows. He has a giant smile on his face while he watches them, and then binges more shows after he is done the first one.
- He is a really good cook, and a very intense food critic. Gaz cooked a couple steaks for the team and they don’t have a heavy sear? Soap will let him know, and at some point teach him how to do it the correct way.
- Soap is really good at coming up with handshakes. Thats it, thats the headcanon.
Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick
- Hands down the most musically talented out of the whole team. When he is bored, he will tap his fingers to random drum rudiments. He can play almost any instrument and is really good at it.
- He loves bugs. Like a little too much. Whenever he sees a cool bug during a mission, he picks it up and takes it with him until he forgets about it and accidentally kills it.
- Scares people on purpose. Like, all the time. Someone is walking around a corner in the base? He is literally right there so scream in their face for no reason.
- He is mediocre at cooking but phenomenal at baking. Everything he bakes is great, but nothing he cooks is ever good. His cooking is just the right amount of edible where you don’t throw it out.
Captain John Price
- He loves hugs. It is very rare that he will receive one, but every time he does it fills his heart with joy.
- Cannot for the life of him wake up to alarms. You would think constantly being around loud sounds he would wake up instantly, but he sleeps like a rock.
- He carries around a disposable camera wherever he can. Price loves taking photos of the trees, flowers, sunsets, animals, and anything else nature related.
- He is really great at giving massages. If anyone on the team is super stiff or sore, he is able to fix it.
- He sets up little relaxing field trips for the rest of the team. Sending them to who knows where so they can finally relax for a little bit.
- During or on special holidays he sets up small parties and turns some things into competitions. For example: pumpkin carving competitions on halloween. (Which Ghost always wins)

🍝SDV Headcanon: Pasta (bachelorettes) 🍝
Yesterday was National Pasta Day. Here are my headcanons involving pasta and the bachelorettes. Farmer is a pasta lover. See my pasta headcanons for bachelors here.  What other HC’s would you like to see?
I’m so bummed. I spent like an hour writing these and then the Internet ate it. Meh... okay, let’s try this again.
Abigail
Is into weird, experimental stuff. Fugu noodles? Spicy eel noodles? Pumpkin noodles?
Once made Sebastian a ramen noodle sandwich. He promptly took her back upstairs to teach her how to properly make ramen.
Dyes the noodles black for Spooky Day with a chunky pumpkin tomato sauce. Pierre would raise an eyebrow, but Caroline would be supportive of her daughter’s creativity.
Is more into the desserts post pasta - she would make her unusual pasta dish if the farmer made her favorite pumpkin cheesecake.
If in a romantic relationship, Abigail packs a pasta lunch into the Farmer’s knapsack before going into the mines. Then of course, joins them on an adventure! Definitely with Bilbo Baggins energy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maru
Prefers noodle substitutes. Once when she was a kid, she choked on pasta. It’s a psychological thing, but she can’t eat spaghetti. Red sauce. Blech!
Bought a vegetable spiraler tool for making alt-noodles. It’s one of the things she enjoys doing with her mom. Robin likes making beet, carrot, and zucchini spirals.
Her absolute favorite is cheesy cauliflower noodles! She would shyly request fresh cheese from the Farmer if they are friends.
If she has to eat pasta, Maru likes Thai rice noodles (super thin noodles).
Since this girl loves strawberries, she attempted to figure out dessert pasta. Is thrilled to discover a Polish dish with strawberries and cream pasta.
Maru also enjoys the heat. Lots of spices added to her pastas. Cilantro. Red curry paste. She would get fresh honey from the Farmer to add to her Sriracha sauce if they are friends.
In a romantic relationship, she is so excited if you offer to make alt-noodles with her. She would worry about what to wear for once, and go to Haley for advice before realizing that she needs to get across town to meet you at the house in time.
Harvey once accidentally ate some of her pasta for lunch. His mouth was on fire for an hour. (Yes, I can picture his hair standing on end).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Leah
Also likes truffles like Harvey. Sometimes she brings him a pasta with truffles dish for lunch because the poor man forgets to take a break and eat.
Marnie let her set up a little smoker on the property. Leah smokes her own meats. If the Farmer keeps goats, Leah would swing by frequently for a sampling of fresh goat cheese for her pasta with smoked bacon dish.
If she’s in a rush, a simple pasta dish with chopped spring onions, garlic, and Balsamic vinaigrette is all she needs.
She enjoys wild caught salmon with her pasta served with fresh herbs.
Leah cans her own sauce with fresh ingredients foraged from the forest and from the Farm. If friends, Leah brings a can over to the Farmer about once a month.
If in a romantic relationship, Leah would join the Farmer for a pasta meal and bring a fresh salad and a bottle of wine to enjoy. She also brings hand-crafted jars for the Farmer to store all their noodles. On the bottom, she would carve “hand crafted with love” and a little heart with her name.
Tumblr media
Emily
Loves earthy vegetables with her pasta. Beets, carrots, daikon, onions and garlic.
Oh yes, this girl loves garlic! If the recipe calls for 1 clove, she uses 3. And way too much salt. Haley jokes that it’s her sister’s hair dye that makes Emily loopy when it comes to balancing out her spices. The only person who can handle THAT much garlic is Shane. And he never complains when she cooks for him.
Emily is a hands-on kind-of girl. If friends, harvest vegetables straight from the Farmer’s garden. Shows up wearing a big floppy hat and colorful patchy overalls and sneakers with little handdrawn parrots and rainbows and sunshine.
If in a romantic relationship, Emily accepts the Farmer’s invite to stay for dinner. Emily trusts the Farmer’s process, but would try to be helpful. She would shuck green beans and shell walnuts on the porch for a green bean, walnut, and creamy parmesan noodles dish. Emily is a hugger. She would hug the Farmer repeatedly while they were cooking. If they got annoyed, she laughs it off and says she just loves them so much.
Tumblr media
Haley
Asked her dad if angels existed after eating angel hair pasta for the first time as a child. It turned into a long conversation about life, death, and the afterlife.
Pasta is a comfort dish for Haley. Whenever she’s sad, lonely, scared, or upset, she returns to the classics: carbonara.
And she’s a meatballs girl. Doesn’t even need pasta. Leah made BBQ meatballs once at a town event and now she’s addicted.
And a noodles in soup girl. Whenever she’s ill, Emily attempts to make a beef broth and homemade noodles for Haley. It’s way too salty but she appreciates the gesture.
Became friends with the farmer after they made her chicken noodle soup when she was really sick. What a lovely and kind thing to do! Haley brings them sunflowers as a thank you gift. If in a romantic relationship, Haley bakes a pink cake with strawberry frosting and heart sprinkles.
Tumblr media
Penny
Knows her way around. Since her mom wasn’t around much, Penny learned to cook at a young age. She actually really enjoys it, but she rarely has the time to work in the kitchen in peace.
Makes macaroni noodle necklaces with Jas and Vincent. Blushes like crazy if you compliment the one she’s wearing.
Gnocchi (with extra potatoes) is her favorite pasta. Pairs perfectly with Emily’s extra garlicky garlic bread.
She enjoys a good shrimp scampi also. Would eat with Elliott every once in awhile and bond over the dish. He’s hopeless in the kitchen. *face-palm*
If in a romantic relationship with the Farmer, she comes over to cook pasta often, handrolling out her noodles. She loves the quiet of the Farmhouse kitchen.
Also, she has a romantic fantasy of being blindfolded and hand fed noodles, especially if the Farmer kisses her neck after the butter drizzles down.

Pete’s is one stop of the rounds Esme is forcing him to make tonight. Connor doesn’t even like Pete’s; the dinner grease hurts his nose, the Unaware children running around and under his feet make him mad, and the pumpkin carving contest is, honestly, kind of stupid in the grand scheme of things. Who cares if they win that?
And he certainly isn’t up for talking to Damien fucking Harker of all people as part of a win.
But, for some reason (he’ll blame fairy magic if forced to answer), Connor feels compelled to follow the Fae around this evening to ensure she doesn’t end up sleeping drunk in a ditch somewhere.
Right now, she’s off somewhere probably picking pumpkins or collecting names of unsuspecting adults she plans to bamboozle into owing her something later. It doesn’t really matter to much to him. Still, the boredom is kicking in and he finds his way over to the area they’re selling food. Most of it has such a strong smell he feels sick to his stomach, but his eyes wander over to the slices of pie that they’re selling. There’s a chocolate cream pie that he thinks maybe he could get away with eating because the October full moon was a few weeks ago, until, with dawning horror, Connor realizes he literally has a week before the next one.
He is about to walk away from the desserts to make sure he doesn’t succumb to temptations when his mouth goes dry and every hair on his body stands up on edge.
Connor knows that man. Connor knows that man so intimately that he still remembers the gentle words that were spoken to him the day he got suspended in middle school for starting a third fight at lunch that week. He remembers the sounds of laughter as they played tag while the adults talked business. Worst of all, he can remember in perfect vivid details the look on his cousins faces at his Turning. When he’d changed back they’d all sat together in bed as he faded in and out of sleep, talking and laughing about how it was a just a year until they’d be doing it too.
Except David and Daniella never made it to that.
It’s like he’s being haunted by the past except he knows what it’s like to be haunted and this is not it. Connor moves as fast as he can to not draw attention to himself but the closer he gets the more he runs out of steam until finally he’s standing there, dumbfounded, at a man he thought he’d never see again and suddenly he is 15 years old and his life is falling apart and all he can think about is dropping to his knees and falling apart all over again.
He wants to say something witty. He wants to say something angry. He wants to, but the only thing that comes out of his mouth is a gentle croak and an all too quiet, “Why are you here?”
God, Connor thinks, I sound so small.

The Most Perfect Fall Weekend
We spent the weekend at the tiny house on the farm, staying up way too late and waking up early and it was the best little getaway ever.
The packing began a few days before, and so did the cleaning. We cleaned the tiny house from top to bottom to get it ready for our family to call home for a few days. We haven’t stayed in the tiny house since the beginning of the year, as Dixie has been living in it. But PJ found a camper for her that he brought and parked at the farm that she now lives in full time (so she’s still on the property!), which means the tiny house is fair game. It felt good to be back in there again, and even though I can’t imagine staying in it longer than two days, it was so much fun to live small and experience a change of scenery for a bit.
Even after four years, I am still so surprised by how much I love being at the farm. The animals have become our family, the mountain in the background has become our friend, the land has become our home. Home: that’s how I feel when we’re out there. Which is crazy to think about because, growing up, I always hated the idea of “farm life” and everything it encompassed. Now, though, I think since it’s ours and PJ has talked about how magical farm life is for families and children, I am absolutely in love with it (though I’m not quite there with the messiness of farm life- I am still leaving that to PJ for the time being).
Friday night, Matt & Beau came over with pumpkins and hotdogs. The pumpkins were for the kids and carving (how sweet is that?) and the hotdogs were for roasting over the fire. They carved pumpkins with the kids for a while, which gave me and PJ a little time to sip some wine and sit back and relax, a rarity in our house.
After pumpkin carving, PJ made a bonfire and we roasted hotdogs and made s’mores. It was the perfect fall evening. We let the kids stay up way too late and just talked around the fire. Dixie came out for a while and relaxed with us, too. It was truly a family affair, and with the temps dropping fast, it became cold enough for turtlenecks and sweaters as extra layers of warmth. My favorite.
The next morning we picked Matt and Beau up at the foot of their driveway and made the hour long drive to a local apple orchard where we took an orchard tour and ate way too many apple fritters. We could have stayed there all day. I meant to bring home apple butter or some kind of jelly, but all I brought home was an extremely full belly.
The tour guide snuck some fallen apples and gave them to all the kids on the tour. I have a weird allergy to uncooked apples (I know, I know) so I didn’t dare eat any, but I hear they were yummy!
How stunning is the orchard? With rolling hills as far as the eye can see, I don’t think I would ever get tired of this view. Kind of reminds me of the farm a bit.
After the orchard, we drove down to Blue Ridge, GA, which looks like a postcard or a Hallmark Movie town. It’s so picturesque and pretty damn perfect, filled with little local shops and restaurant and the cutest gift stores you’ve ever seen. The fall colors were making this already charming town even more so.
We had lunch at this delicious cajun restaurant that Matt recommended and it was the perfect way to end the day. Well, we also stopped by the cupcake store and brought home a few of those, and really that was the perfect ending to the day.
That night, we did the same bonfire, let the kids stay up late running around, and we just enjoyed each other’s company. This is still a somewhat new concept to us- having friends this close by to hang out night after night and have perfect fall days with.
I think we could get used to this.

His goal by the end of this date is to bring home the biggest fucking pumpkin. I kid you not, this fool is going to be scouting the patch from the second he gets inside it.
It’s most likely a competition. You’re going to want a nice pumpkin to carve, so you look for one, and you find a nice, big one with plenty of room for a nice design.
Bakugou’s eyes land on your pumpkin as you heave it up into your arms and he’s like ‘oh hell nah.’
“Let me carry your-”
“Find your own pumpkin.” You stick your tongue out at him as you begin to rush back to where you purchase them and Bakugou begins to chase after you. He’d told you he was looking for a big pumpkin and while it had only just dawned on you that your pumpkin was great in size, you intended to keep this pumpkin.
Bakugou eventually gives up and settles for a slightly smaller pumpkin. He won’t admit defeat though.
Later on the date, you two go on a hayride, and hold hands. The smell of pumpkin and fall seem to grow stronger as the day goes on.
After the hayride, there’s the corn maze.
I hope you’re ready.
Because the winner, out of you and Bakugou, gets treated to lunch paid for by the loser, and gets bragging rights.
Bakugou is pissed when you dart of into the maze because clearly in the list of rules he’d laid out- yeah you stopped listening when he said rules and got a head start.
Bakugou is determined to find you, and without cheating. He sticks to the paths and eventually he can hear you laughing, because you can hear him shouting at the corn that keeps wacking him in the face as he tries to run through.
When he catches up to you, it’s too late. You’re already out of the maze and Bakugou is left dumbfounded. How did you complete it so fast?
“You followed me the whole time, I think you owe me two lunches.” You smile, hugging him as he stands at the exit of the maze.
“How-”
“Shh, let’s go get food, I’m starving.”
When you return back to the dorms, you head straight to Bakugou’s room. Lunch was great, all thanks to Bakugou paying.
You give Bakugou your big pumpkin and he’s hesitant at first.
“It’s yours. You found it-”
“Take it before I change my mind ‘Suki.” You lean up and give him a kiss on the cheek. He’s happy to carve some absurd picture into the pumpkin while you try your best to carve your own design.
A very successful October date.

shoto todoroki
Tumblr media
»»————- ★ ————-««
Todoroki hasn’t been to a pumpkin patch in ages. He can’t remember the last time he went and actually had fun. But you were determined to make sure he had fun today.
You’d planned it all out, and you started with a hayride.
Sitting atop the hay, Todoroki sat close to you, his hand holding yours as the tractor began to move, pulling you along with everyone else in the open trailer.
“Do you know what you’re going to carve into your pumpkin?” You ask as you admire the fall scenery, taking in the lovely view of the color-changing leaves, the scent of pumpkin, and the sound of people running and having fun in the corn maze.
“I’ve never carved a pumpkin before.” Todoroki uttered, which blew your mind.
“You’ve never- Shoto Todoroki today you are carving a pumpkin.” You had a look of determination on your face.
After the hayride, you insisted on the corn maze, which Todoroki thought of as a challenge.
“So it’s a race.” Todoroki stood, looking at the entrance and the exit.
“No- it’s just a maze, but if you’d like to race, you can eat my dust!” You dart off into the maze and Todoroki charges after you. He’s smiling and happy. And that’s enough for you.
He catches up to you and traps you in a dead end you’d stumbled upon.
“Sho!” You smile and laugh as he hugs you. He pulls away ad leans to give you a quick kiss before darting off. You’re flustered but gather your senses as you try to locate the exit.
Todoroki makes it out first, but you’re close behind him. You congratulate him on his win and decide to head over to the pumpkin patch.
Picking out a pumpkin was much more difficult than Todoroki had imagined. He was going to carve it, so he needed a good size for whatever he was carving.
He looked over and found you heaving a giant pumpkin in to your arms, a devious look on your face.
“That is a large pumpkin.” Todoroki states, trying not to laugh at you as you struggle to hold it in your arms.
“Which one are you getting?” You ask, heaving the pumpkin up onto your shoulder to carry it better.
Todoroki settles on a medium-sized pumpkin, with the perfect amount of space for a nice carving.
Taking them back to the dorms was easy, but you were not prepared for what was Todoroki carving a pumpkin.
He somehow managed to lose the top to his pumpkin after cutting it out, he got pumpkin guts everywhere, you were still finding seeds in the common room after you cleaned up.
But on the front porch of the dorms, sat your giant pumpkin carved with a spooky design next to Todoroki’s smiley-faced pumpkin.

Izuku is super excited. He’s all for carving a pumpkin and going on hayrides and much more.
When you arrive at the pumpkin patch, you decide to do the corn maze first.
Izuku insists on completing it together, so you do. As you begin to walk through the rows of corn, trying to find the exit, you get lost a few times.
“Izuku I’ve seen this same stalk of corn before.” You laugh as you point at the corn stalk that had been bent in a funny way.
“Okay maybe we are going in circles.” Midoriya laughs as he stops to try and look for a different path.
When you finally make progress, Izuku wants to take a few pictures. Peaking out from the corn you smile as he snaps a picture of you, and you yank him into the corn for a cute picture together.
You kiss his cheek as he snaps the second picture. He’s a blushing mess, but it was worth it.
when you find the exit, you rush to it together, sprinting out of the maze.
Next is the hayride. Cozying up to Izuku, you admire the beautiful fall scenery as you ride along the pumpkin patch.
Laying your head on his shoulder, you’re happy to just be spending time with him.
After the hayride, you head to the pumpkin patch to pick out your pumpkin. Izuku wants a nice-sized pumpkin, something he can have plenty of room to carve on.
You point to a green pumpkin and smile.
“Izu’ look! It’s a little Deku pumpkin.” You hold it up and giggle, Midoriya’s cheeks tinting red.
“Have you found a pumpkin yet?” Izuku asks, looking around until his eyes land on a good pumpkin.
“I think I like the little green one.” You hold it in your hands and walk with Izuku as he heads toward his pumpkin. It’s pretty big but he picks it up like it’s nothing.
Back at the dorms, carving the pumpkins is an adventure. Deciding to try and carve All Might, Midoriya is hard at work while you carve your pumpkin.
In the end, Izuku’s All Might is more of a stick figure with muscles. Nevertheless, they sit outside on the porch, lit with a candle setting the mood for fall.

Kaminari is super excited as well. He’s up bright and early the morning of, surprisingly, and running out the door when it’s time to leave.
He wants to do the hayride first, and you sit beside one another, his arm around your shoulder. He holds you close to him as you admire the scenery.
He’s constantly making puns related to the change in season, and while they’re corny and simple, you love them.
“I guess you could say I’m really fall-ing for you.” Kaminari wiggles his eyebrows. You giggle and give him a peck on the cheek.
“You dork.” You smile and cozy up next to him for the remainder of the hayride.
After the hayride, you two go to pick out some pumpkins. Kaminari isn’t looking for the biggest pumpkin, but he definitely wants to impress you.
“This one’s the size of your head!” Kaminari lifts up a rather large pumpkin. Your eye twitches as you look at him.
“Wait shit, my bad! It’s the size of my head! My head! Your head is cute!”
The recovery is about as funny as the comparison he’d made but you decide to let it slide.
After settling on some medium-sized pumpkins, you set them in a safe place to come back to later so you can go and enjoy the corn maze.
When you enter the corn maze, the sun is shining. However, when you leave, the place is about to close, it’s dark, and all you’ve got when you leave is your phone flashlight which saved your life when it got dark.
Denki is nowhere to be found.
He tried to be all funny and try and sneak off and scare you, but when you realize he’s not behind you after you told him it was time to exit the maze, you’re worried.
Darting back inside, you debate on calling for him or not.
“Denki!” You call out, deciding it’d just be best to give yourself away in case he was trying to scare you.
“Denki come on, it’s not funny anymore, where are you?!” You yelled again.
“Boo!” He screams as he jumps out form between some corn. You let out a yelp and latch onto him.
“Asshole.” You mumble as you hug him.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t think I’d still be able to scare you.”
“I was worried! You weren’t behind me and I-”
Kaminari hushed you with a kiss, his arms linking around your waist.
A bright light shone on your faces as the owner of the pumpkin patch called for you.
“We’re closing, come on and get out!” They yelled.
Purchasing your pumpkins, you returned back to the dorms to carve them, and despite being a little upset at Kaminari for scaring you, you still cuddled beside him after passing out on the couch.

Heading to the pumpkin patch clad in matching fall themed sweaters, Kirishima is going to spoil you.
He’s helping you carry the pumpkin you pick out when you look at all the pumpkins. He’s such a sweetheart.
He’s also going to have a lot of fun.
On the hayride, he’ll let you sit in his lap, which makes the ride that much more bumpy, you can’t count the amount of airtime you got and how much Kirishima laughed when you practically floated off his lap.
His arms hooked around your waist after the first few bumps to secure you, hugging you close to him.
After the hayride is the corn maze. And honestly like Kaminari, he could spend hours in there. Whether it be scaring you, or making a map of the place, he’s having fun as long as you are.
The first time you do the maze, you race one another. You finish first, although Kirishima was two steps behind you.
On the second run through, you go together.
“I went this way!” You begin to pull him along but Kirishima doesn’t budge.
“I went this way.” Kirishima nodded toward the other path.
“Well who won?” You teased, following after him.
“I’d say we tied.” Kirishima replied, pulling you along the path. When the sun began to sink below the horizon, you tried to do the maze in the dark.
It was much more difficult than you thought. You bumped into Kirishima more times than you could count, and eventually you had to break out your flashlight.
And on the fourth time around, you entered the maze first and thirty seconds after, Kirishima entered to try and track you down.
It was slightly terrifying. Using your flashlight was sure to get you caught, but without it you could hardly see.
There were a few times where Kirishima had walked past you, where you had decided to try and hide rather than run away from him.
But when he found you, you had been cornered.
“Boo!” Kirishima yelled, scaring you. You jumped and let out a yelp as he gave you a hug, laughing it off.
“I got you!” He kissed your cheek as he held you close to him, smiling proudly.
“You didn’t have to scare me.” You smile, nuzzling into his chest.
“Let’s go carve some pumpkins.” Kirishima leads you out of the maze for the last time, having it memorized by now.
When you arrive back at the dorms to carve the pumpkins, it’s very late.
Kirishima puts on a scary movie and the two of you carve away.
You pass out in the common room, cuddled up on the couch after successfully placing your beautifully carved pumpkins on the porch.

Tamaki is excited, and the entire date is hyped up by Mirio and Nejire. He’s happy to go on a date with you, albeit a bit nervous, but excited.
When he sees you, his heart flutters. You look beautiful in the autumn colors, and he’s falling even more in love with you as every second passes.
When you arrive at the pumpkin patch, you decide to go pick out your pumpkins first.
“Do you know what kind of pumpkin you want Tamaki?” You ask, holding his hand. Tamaki smiles at the warm feeling in his chest as you hold his hand.
“Something c-cute. Like you.” Tamaki complimented you. You let out a small laugh and hugged him.
“Well if that’s the logic, we’re both looking for cute pumpkins.” Complimenting Tamaki right back, you both head out to find pumpkins.
Tamaki returns with a tiny pumpkin, like comically tiny. It’s cute, and manageable.
“I’m going to name it Bunny. A-after you.”
Your heart melts at his action. You show him your pumpkin, which was on the medium sized scale, not huge, but enough for a small design if you wanted to carve it.
“I’ll name mine Suneater.” You lean and kiss his cheek.
After picking out your pumpkins, you decide to do the corn maze, which was a load of fun.
Tamaki’s hand in yours made you feel secure as the two of you navigated through the stalks of corn, trying to find the exit.
You probably spent an hour or so in it, just having fun and talking.
“Look! We did it! Tamaki we did it!” You smile and jump wit excitement as you exit the maze, giving him a short and sweet peck on his lips.
Tamaki blushed, his arms wrapping around your waist as he hugged you close to him during the unexpected kiss.
After, the two of you headed to the hayride. It was about 10 minutes long, and it gave you plenty of time to rest, even though you weren’t really tired, you cozied up to Tamaki as the ride started.
The leaves on the trees had changed color, each red, orange, and yellow leaf catching your attention as you enjoyed the faint scent of pumpkin in the air.
“It’s so beautiful.” You commented, holding Tamaki’s hand in your own. Tamaki nodded and nuzzled his head into your shoulder.
When the hayride was over, you purchased your pumpkins and headed back to the dorms.
Mirio and Nejire had agreed to carve pumpkins with you, and while Tamaki’s pumpkin was too small to carve, he definitely enjoyed helping the others.
Putting on a Halloween classic, you and Tamaki cozied up on his bed and fell asleep together.

When you arrive at the pumpkin patch, he wants to ride the hayride first, insisting you sit on his lap. He wants to hold you, his hands intertwined with yours, taking in all the beautiful autumn scenery.
He’d given you one of his knitted sweaters to wear before going outside in the cool air. It looks good on you, and he can’t help but smile every time he looks at you.
“Do you have any idea of what kind of pumpkin you want to pick?” You ask, a soft smile on your lips. Mirio just hums, resting his head on your shoulder.
“One that’s cute, like you, sunshine!” Mirio kissed your cheek, a giggle escaping your lips.
“Mirio!” You snuggle into his arms as a cool breeze of wind blows by.
Once the hayride is over, you head over to the pumpkin patch where you struggle to find a pumpkin.
You debate on something small or something big when Mirio approaches you holding a medium-sized pumpkin, perfectly round and ready to be carved.
“That’s like the perfect pumpkin how did you-”
“I thought you might like this one.” Mirio suggests, his eyes landing on another good one.
“But you found it, I-”
“It’s all yours, besides,” Mirio hands you the pumpkin before reaching and grabbing one that sat by your feet.
“This one looks more like me.” Mirio lifts the large and tall pumpkin up to his head and smiles.
“Did you just compare yourself to a pumpkin?” You smile whilst holding Mirio’s perfect pumpkin in your hands.
“I sure did.” Mirio laughs.
“You need help?” Mirio asks, motioning to your pumpkin. You shake your head and hoist it up into your arms with a better grip, walking around some more.
After picking out pumpkins it’s time to do the cornmaze. You decide to start seperately, racing to the end. You bump into each other a few times, and youe ven bust Mirio for following you.
“You’re cheating.” You pout standing in front of him.
“I was just following my dreams.” Mirio says smoothly. You sigh and place a kiss on his cheek before continuing off down the path you believed to be the exit.
Mirio follows suit and the two of you make it out at the same time.
“So much for a race.” You laugh. Mirio just waves his hand and hugs you from behind.
“Let’s go carve us some pumpkins!” He’s excited to get back and carve a pumpkin so you head on back to the campus.
Mirio carves a cute sun on his pumpkin and declares that it reminds him of you. It sits outside the dorm alongside yours, Tamaki’s and Nejire’s.

Avoiding paparazzi, it took you a bit of time to get into the pumpkin patch, but once you were in, you were in.
Hawks was trying to be smooth, acting tough and trying to carry each pumpkin you laid eyes on.
“I can carry my own pumpkin.” You smile, reaching down and picking up one of the largest ones you could find.
“Oh yeah?” Hawks went to grab it and immediately felt his arms drop as the pumpkin was way heavier than he expected. His feathers came to aid, lifting he pumpkin back up and saving it from cracking open on impact.
“Way to go, handsome.” You tease, deciding his feathers were fine to hold it if they so wished too.
“Hey-”
You shut Hawks up with a kiss, holding onto the edges of his fur lined jacket. He’d come straight from work, but he didn’t mind. As long as he was spending time with you, he could care less when or where it happened.
Hawks wasn’t complaining. He kissed you back and smiled, pulling away with a goofy grin on his lips.
You hiked over to the hayride next, hopping on some hay bales, you cozied up to Hawks, resting under one of his wings which hugged you closer to him.
As the tractor tugged the attached trailer which you and Hawks sat on along, you gazed at the beautiful pumpkin patch. It was simple and easy on the eyes with the beautiful and cute decorations set up for the fall season, as well as a few Halloween themed decorations.
“It’s so beautiful.” You commented, resting your head on Hawks. Hawks smiled and slid his hand in yours.
“Not as beautiful as you.” He cooed, thinking he was being smooth.
“Did you practice that one in the mirror?” You tease. You did love Hawks cheesy pick up lines that you’d heard a million times before, it was what made them that much better honestly.
“You’re the one dating me.” Hawks mumbled, placing a short kiss on your head, mumbling something into your hair.
“Hm? What was that?” You ask, glancing up at you.
“I love you.” Hawks smiles at you. You return a smile and return to gazing at the scenery.
After the hayride, you take on the maze. Hawks is determined to finish it in some high score, but you want to enjoy it.
Getting lost and hitting dead ends is what makes a maze that much better. It can be frustrating, but you enjoy it.
Hawks ushers yo down several paths that all end up back at the same place, and in the end, you lead him out of the maze.
“I had that down, babybird.” Hawks tries to reassure you that he had figured it out but you just laugh.
“Sure you did.” You smile, giving him a peck on the cheek.
You return back to his home and set up for pumpkin carving, promising to spend a little more time together before he eventually gets called back in for hero work.
You both fall asleep on the couch after carving, wore out and tired from a long day.

Villains have to be on the low about things. Dabi couldn’t waltz out in the public freely, he’d be spotted. So he has to go disguised.
At least, if you go during the day, that is.
Breaking into the pumpkin patch was way easier than it should’ve been, and for the first thirty minutes, Dabi was on edge, thinking that something was bound to go wrong and that you’d be caught up with him.
But alas, the night carried on and the chirping of crickets and other various nighttime creatures kept the chilling silence away.
“Alright baby, where do you want to go?” Dabi asks coolly, resting an arm around your shoulder. You nudge him toward the corn maze.
It’s a race to the end the first time, but the second time around, Dabi wants to play hide and seek.
You’re it first, searching around for your villain companion, but you couldn’t even come close to finding him...until you notice a faint blue glow.
Creeping up on him, you decide to scare him.
It doesn’t entirely go that great.
Your face feels hot as a blue flame erupts in your field of view.
“Shit! Don’t do that!” Dabi curses, quickly extinguishing his quirk from further roasting you alive.
“I scared you though I totally got you!” You laughed, not at all bothered by the fact that he nearly singed you.
“Baby, you’re gonna regret that, because now I’m it.” Dabi’s voice was low and husky as towered over you. You smiled and leaned up, kissing his lips before darting off to go hide.
Your spot is pretty solid, hiding in a dead end, behind a few thick stalks of corn. You think you’re safe seeing as how you don’t even remember seeing this portion of the maze so how or why would Dabi come back here.
Everything’s going great until you hear things snapping and breaking behind you. You whip around to investigate but your back is forced to the ground as you look above you.
Dabi’s cerulean eyes peer down at you as a smirk dawns his lips.
“Got you, baby.” Dabi kisses you passionately, his hands resting on the ground on each side of you.
When the make out is over, you both sit up and decide to go pick out a pumpkin. You can’t go on a hayride since that’d make a lot of noise and probably alert someone that people were here when they shouldn’t be, but Dabi promises to make it up to you.
Remind him to ask Tomura for a tractor. He can write it off as a league business expense or something.
Picking out a pumpkin was much more difficult. Dabi found his in a matter of seconds, ready to head back and get to carving. He was actually pretty excited about the whole thing. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d enjoyed the fall season, or Halloween.
He waited on you to pick out a pumpkin, watching as you searched for the perfect one.
You settled on a rather large pumpkin, something you could carve a rather large design into. You wanted to really go all out, and you wanted to try and show Dabi up.
Pumpkin carving was a hidden talent of yours.
Returning back to wherever the league was stationed this time, you and Dabi got to work.
Toga and Twice stopped by to watch as you carved away, giving some input and cheering you on as you tried to beat Dabi in some sort of pumpkin carving challenge.
“Shigaraki! Can you judge our pumpkins! You’ll decide whose is the best.” You call out to your ‘boss’ and smile.
“Whatever.” Shigaraki mumbles, trotting over to examine your pumpkin beside Dabi’s.
After way to long, Shigaraki decides to give you the win. Dabi is pissed after all the effort he put into it, but you assure him his pumpkin is amazing.
A blue flame flickers on the candles you placed inside your carved pumpkins and you cuddle next to Dabi a little more that night to make up for his loss.

He’d lent you his flufy green and purple jacket to wear, and he couldn’t deny that it looked adorable on you.
His gloved hand resided in yours as you walked through the cornmaze.
It was something he’d never really understood, but seeing the excitement on your face as you begged him to go through it with you, he decided to go along with it.
A few other members of the Shie Hassaikai were scattered around, making sure the place was empty, and keep an eye out for heroes and such.
“Which way do you think we should go?” You’d stopped at a forked path, confused at which way to go.
“This path looks like it loops back around.” Chisaki commented, the first path did turn whilst the second path seemed to go traight and then curve back right.
“Second path it is!” You tug Chisaki along with you. when you reach the end, you give him a brisk hug and jump around with excitement.
“That wasn’t so bad.” Chisaki glanced back at the cornmaze, throughly impressed with how difficult it had actually been.
There was no one around to give the hayride so you had to miss out, but walking to the pumpkin patch itself was more than enough.
All the leaves had changed colors and the wind smelled like cinnamon and nutmeg.
Picking out a pumpking was fairly difficult. You wanted to carve something on it, but you didn’t know if you should pick the biggest one or something managable.
“Are you picking one Chisaki?” You ask, watchig as his amber eyes gazed around the field.
“I suppose it wouldn’t hurt.” Chisaki sighs, bending down to pick up one he’d been staring at. It was a fairly large pumpkin. He held it carefully in his gloved hands, grimacing at the dirt that stained the white fabric.
You’d decided on a pumpkin and brought it back with you, excited to get back to the base and carve it.
Chisaki wasn’t excited about the mess, but watching you carve a design into the pumpkin took his mind off of it. He was happy just watching you be happy.
He didn’t carve his although you asked if he wanted help with carving it.
They sat outside his room in the base, a small candle lit inside yours to illuminate the carving.

Like Dabi, the two of you can’t exactly go to a pumpkin patch in broad daylight. Tomura is a wanted criminal, and since you’re associated with him, you’re not gonna get away entirely scot-free either.
So, a little breaking and entering never hurt anyone, and it was very mild compared to the things Tomura usually did.
Also similar to Dabi, the hayride is out of the question, but Tomura claims he can take you for a drive any day, all you have to do is ask, that is if  you feel safe with Tomura behind the wheel.
Picking out pumpkins first, you and Shigaraki tackle the patch together. It’s a struggle to find one you like, and even more so, to find one Shigaraki likes.
Carving it is really up to you, but whether you chose to carve it later or not, you want to pick one out.
“What about this one?” You ask, heaving a large on up into your arms. Shigaraki’s eyes land on the bright orange pumpkin in your grasp and suddenly it’s the single pumpkin that he wants.
“I want it.” Shigaraki mumbles. You let out a giggle and walk toward him.
“It’s heavy.”
“I can handle it.”
“Careful!” You transfer it to his grasp, rolling it into his arms. His upper body droops as he catches it, struggling to hold it without decaying it at his touch.
“I got it.” Shigaraki hisses, clearly struggling. The pumpkin begins to slip and you’re able to snake your arms under it just in time.
“How about we share one?” Your soft expression calms Shigaraki’s growing anger. With a nod, you place the pumpkin somewhere so you can head to the corn maze, the part Tomura was looking forward too.
“It’s like a stage from a video game.” Tomura began trying to think of all the possible ways to clear the maze, but with your hand carefully wrapped in his, you began pulling him along.
Tomura wouldn’t say it out loud, but when you held his hand, or trusted him in general with things like touch, he felt much closer to you.
He didn’t feel so distant, he knew you weren’t scared of him, and that’s what he treasured.
“It’s this way.” Shigaraki’s sense were just leading you in all sorts of directions.
“Tomura, if we pass this little circle path again-”
“I know I know.” Shigaraki tugs you in another direction and sure enough, the exit comes into sight.
“We did it!” You hug him, pulling his face down closer to yours, pressing your lips on his gently.
Kissing you back, Tomura’s hands travelled to your hips, tilting his head ever so slightly to the side, deepening the kiss.
Returning back to the hideout, you set up to carve the pumpkin in your shared room.
Tomura gives some input on what you should carve and you get to work.
When the night is over, you’ve got a pumpkin carved sitting on the broken kitchen table for the rest of the league to admire when they stop by.

Aizawa isn’t a big media fan, so he’ll try to avoid paparazzi or media at all costs.
Taking you out on a little fall date was Hizashi’s plan, and Aizawa actually liked the sound of going to a pumpkin patch.
The first thing the two of you do is the hayride. It’s short and simple, you sit next to Aizawa, holding his hand as the two of you cozy up when a cool breeze blows.
Sho’s hair is tied back from when you were playing with it on the couch prior to leaving for the date, he just never took it down. It was a good look on him, anything was really.
“Thanks for taking me out.” You smile and kiss his cheek. It wasn’t rare to go out on a date, but you both preferred to be inside when it came to dates, whether it be ordering takeout and watching a movie, or attempting to cook a meal to have together.
“Of course.” Aizawa pressed a kiss of his own to your cheek, smiling against your skin.
The hayride was over in about ten minutes which gave you plenty of time to explore the patch.
Next you went off to the corn maze where you got lost.
It wasn’t supposed to happen, but having so much fun, you lost track of where you were going, and somehow, you’d lost Shota along the way.
When you were finally reunited, an all black kitten laid in Shota’s arms.
“Sho...”
“It was all alone. Am I a hero if I can’t save-”
“It’s so cute!” You smiled, approaching the small kitten slowly. It warmed up to the both of you quite quickly, and it seemed to like Aizawa a lot.
Cradling it in his arms, Sho attempted to show you the way out. You followed behind.
Making it out of the maze, you headed toward the pumpkin patch, keeping the kitty some what hidden. Sho had every intention of taking it home with you, and you certainly didn’t have anything against it.
Picking out some pumpkins was easy, you settled for a pretty medium-sized pumpkin while Aizawa picked up something small, able to sit on his desk and not take up too much space so he could still sleep.
Getting the kitten home was Sho’s next top priority, right next to giving you a kiss before it got to crowded again.
Sneaking a kiss on your lips in the middle of the ‘deserted’ pumpkin patch, he kissed you tenderly, stroking the kitten in his arms as he did so.
Returning home, you pulled out the food bowls and filled one with some water and another with kitty food. Thanks to Sho having a habit of bringing home strays and nursing them up, you had quite the collection of cat toys, food, and other random assorted pet items.
“Are we going to name it?” You asked, sitting beside Aizawa on the floor as you watched the kitten eat.
“You wanna keep it?” Aizawa questioned.
“I think we could handle another one.” You smile as one of your other cats comes pouncing into your lap, resting on your thighs as you pet it’s back.
“Alright then, how about Pumpkin?” The name was cliché but you loved it. Resting your head on Sho’s shoulder, you smiled as you enjoyed the rest of your fall themed evening.

Autumn // Draco Malfoy
A/N: Hey guys! I was writing a request but then I put on soft jazz and lit a fall candle and I just felt the need to write a little drabble about the fall season. Enjoy!
Summary: Y/N, who is pregnant, and her husband Draco spend a fall day together.
Waring(s): None!
Word Count: 1.7k
Tumblr media
Y/N sighed in content as she watched the orange flames flicker in the fireplace. She took a small sip of her hot apple cider and dug her feet further into her fuzzy brown socks. The sweet jazz her husband had put on their record player soothed her soul. She felt at peace, she felt cozy, she felt safe. After all, autumn was her favorite time of year. The soft sweaters and pumpkin carving and the beautiful changing of the leaves never failed to fill her with joy. The fall season was special to Y/N for many reasons, but perhaps the biggest one was that she had met her husband, Draco, in the fall. They’d also gotten married in the fall. She remembered that day, vividly. The smell of the crisp autumn air, the orange and brown leaves scattered on the ground. Her long-sleeved wedding gown to shield her from the cold. Oh, how she missed that day.
However, she had bigger things to look forward to. Much bigger than her wedding day. See, Y/N was pregnant with her first child. In late March, she found out.  Since it was November, her baby was due any day now. Draco was over the moon when she told him. He hasn’t stopped fussing over here since that day. And now, with the day growing ever closer, he hardly ever left Y/N’s side.
Y/N took another sip of her cider, nearly dropping it as she did since her daughter decided to give her a little kick, successfully catching her off guard. She chuckled to herself and rested her hand on her bulging belly, rubbing softly. “Is she bothering you, love?” Draco asked, amused. Y/N looked away from the fireplace. She stared at her husband, who was cozied up on their couch with a book, and smiled softly. “She wants out,” she replied. Draco looked at his wife’s belly. He felt an overwhelming wave of love every time he did. His daughter was inside there, his first daughter. Draco set down his book and stood up. He walked over to his wife, gently got to his knees, and placed his head against her stomach. He said nothing for a while, solely seeping into that precious moment. Soon, his child would be here. The thought of it brought tears to his eyes. He looked up.
Y/N was smiling down at him fondly. She reached out her hand and caressed her lover’s face. How lucky was she to be with a man like him? He’d been her rock throughout the entire pregnancy, dropping everything to come to her aid. There had been a few times when Y/N was sure she was going into labor, and Draco had left work and apparated to their home without a moment’s hesitation. If he ever faced repercussions at the Ministry, he never let Y/N know about it. “Don’t worry about me; you and our baby are the only things that matter to me,” he’d always say whenever she asked.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft, “I love you,” from Draco as he stood up again. Y/N smiled and pursed her lips, signaling she wanted a kiss; Draco delivered. The smell of snickerdoodles filled the air as he sat back down on the couch and wrapped a green blanket around him. His wife looked at him. She could tell by his face he had something on his mind. The fire crackled as she studied him. “What’s troubling you?” she asked.
Draco shrugged. “I’m just a bit stressed, is all,” he replied. He rested his head on the arm of the leather couch, slowly letting his muscles relax. “About?” Y/N prompted. Draco waited for a beat before responding. “What are we going to name her, Y/N? I know we’ve talked about it, but we still haven’t made a decision. It could be any day now that she decides to pop out, and I-I guess I’m a bit worried, is all.”
Y/N gazed at him with adoration in her eyes. She didn’t think it could be possible to love him any more than she already did, but here she was, feeling her heart swell. “I think we’ll know when we see her. We’ll look at her and just...know.”
Draco stared into the fire. He knew she was right; he was just so anxious for her to come. What if he laid his eyes on his daughter for the first time and couldn’t think of a name? It’s something other parents have had happen to them. What if it happened to him and Y/N? Would they just bring home an unnamed baby girl? The thought didn’t sit right with Draco.
“I know you want everything to be perfect, but you don’t have to stress so much about it. If you put too much pressure on yourself, we’ll never be able to make a decision. Let’s just see how the next few days play out, okay? Let’s enjoy the time we have together. Soon it won’t be just you and me, you know?” Y/N reminded him. It suddenly hit him that in a few weeks, there would be another human in his house. No longer would it be Draco and Y/N. The realization gave him a sudden burst of energy. He jumped to his feet and rushed to the entryway closet. “What’re you doing?” his wife called out to him.
He turned around and smiled. “Getting my shoes on, we’re going on a little trip.” Y/N stared at him as if he’d grown a second head. “Draco Malfoy, if you haven’t noticed, I’m nine months pregnant. There’s no way I’m going anywhere, not unless we use muggle transportation,” she informed him. Draco had a mischievous grin plastered to his face; he was up to something. He stood in front of her with her shoes and jacket in his hands. She looked at him incredulously, unsure about whether or not she trusted him. But he paid her no mind. Kneeling to the floor, he slipped her shoes onto her swollen feet, making sure they weren’t too tight. Then he stood up and helped her off of the rocking chair she was in. She reluctantly put her arms in the jacket he held out for her. It was a beige color and big enough to wrap around her pregnant belly. Y/N busied herself with her hat while Draco rushed to the kitchen. She thought nothing of it, simply assuming he wanted to grab his keys should they run into a muggle.
Draco held out his arm for her. Once she took it, he led her to the front door. “Where are we going? You still haven’t told me,” she complained. Draco responded with a kiss on her temple, successfully silencing her. They walked out the door and down the sidewalk. Y/N took her mind off of what Draco was planning and instead admired the scenery around her. Her hand felt heavy in Draco’s as she began to relax. They walked in silence for quite some time.
Soon the sidewalk came to a dead end. In front of them stood a large tree. It looked familiar to Y/N. She turned to Draco to see he was smiling. “Why are we here?” she asked. He turned to her. “Well, I came across this tree when I was coming home from work one day. It’s an oak tree, like the one in the Hogwarts courtyard.”
“You mean the one people used to carve their initials into?” Y/N asked. Draco nodded. “That’s the one. When I saw this one, in particular, it reminded me of our school days, and even though we didn’t sit at this tree very often, we spent a lot of time in the courtyard,” he said. Y/N chuckled. “We did. Lots of picnics out there,” she said happily as she stroked her stomach.
“Exactly. You mentioned these being our last few days of it being just the two of us, so I thought it might be fun to have a little picnic, for old time’s sake.” Draco stared at his wife expectantly. He looked pleased with himself. Y/N laughed and let her head fall onto his shoulder. “You’re a dork. But I am starving, whatchu got Malfoy?” she asked. Draco winked and let go over her arm. He looked around before taking out his wand and wordlessly making a red and orange blanket appear on the autumn dirt. Then he reached into his jacket and pulled out a towel. He placed it on the blanket and gently unwrapped it to reveal the snickerdoodles Y/N had put in the oven earlier that afternoon.
Draco made sure the cookies weren’t going to move, and then he walked over to his wife and helped her down onto the blanket. She sat down and got herself as comfortable as she could, and Draco followed suit. They wasted no time digging into the sweet snickerdoodles. Draco looked up in between bites to see Y/N stuffing her face. He smiled to himself; he remembered her doing the same thing when they’d share lunch together on a Sunday afternoon. Y/N had a tendency to eat as if someone was going to appear out of thin air and snatch her food. Draco found it adorable, often jesting and calling her his little chipmunk. She sensed his eyes on her and glanced up.
“Not a word from you, I am a pregnant witch, and I can eat however many I please,” she declared, causing her husband to chuckle. He continued to watch as she munched on the cookies. She looked as beautiful as the day he first saw her. Perhaps even more beautiful now, as she had that glow about her.
“I love you, Y/N,” he said suddenly, yet gently. Her eyes flickered to his. “I love you too, sweetheart. Thank you for dragging me out of the house to eat cookies,” she said sweetly. “Your daughter is enjoying them just as much as I am.” Draco scooted closer to his wife and placed a hand on her belly. Almost instantly, he felt a kick. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her bulge. And then it hit him.
“Autumn,” he whispered with a gasp. He sat up to look at his wife. “Autumn,” he repeated. Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Yes, Draco, that’s the season we’re in.” He shook his head. “No, no. Autumn. We should name her autumn,” he said, his eyes wide. Y/N looked down at her stomach. She saw it stretch as her daughter kicked again. She lifted her head to look back at Draco.
“She likes it,” she said with a smile.

The sound of the skeletal rooster crowing at the top of it’s nonexistent lungs was nothing new to Jack Skellington. It was the same sound he heard every morning- not that he cared. It woke him up just fine, so who was he to complain?
Jack turned over in his bed. He yawned and opened his sockets a tiny bit, waiting for his vision to adjust to the golden light of the pumpkin sun that was beginning to stream in from a nearby window. The first thing he laid eyes on was the beautiful river of red hair lying next to him. Sally was still asleep, resting on her side with her arms folded neatly in front of her. Her back was facing Jack, but he could hear her snoring softly. A  warm smile came across his skull, and he sighed contently.
It had only been a month or so since the two of them were married, and Jack still found himself getting used to waking up with someone else in his bed. But he loved Sally with every ounce of his phantom heart; and wouldn’t have it any other way. Carefully, without disturbing her, Jack scooted closer and moved a piece of hair away from her cheek. He leaned down and kissed her gently, pressing his lips to the stitches that fell neatly under her eye. She stirred, but didn’t wake.
He sat up, stretched his back, and decided now would be the best time to get up. Jack crawled out from under the blanket and finally to his feet. Yawning one last time, he headed straight for the closet, ready to get dressed and start his day.
--
Jack cracked the egg into the pan, listening as it sizzled. After getting dressed and coming downstairs, he decided to make breakfast awhile. He wasn’t sure if Sally would be up before he had to leave, but, he always made enough for two just in case. At the very least, she could reheat it later. Or not- rotten eggs and toast were just as good cold.
As he prepared their plates, his mind wandered around as it always does. He thought about Sally.. how beautiful, and sweet she was. Jack could still hardly believe they were finally.. well, together together. He glanced down at his wedding ring, smiling to himself.
A slight creek of the floorboards caught his attention. He glanced up, half expecting to see nothing, but to his delight was instead greeted by the image of Sally standing in the doorway. She was still wearing her nightgown, which was white in color and very light. It was made out of a smooth, silky material and fell just a little ways past her hips. She smiled at him.
“..I thought I heard you get up.”
“Sally.” Jack smiled back. “Horrible morning, my love. Did you sleep well?”
“Just terribly, thank you. And you as well I trust?”
“As always.” Jack tilted his skull, keeping his gaze on his wife as he sliced their bread. “I apologize if I woke you..”
“Oh, no.” Sally shook her head, and finally made her way over to him. “I was already awake, I just heard the door close.”
“Oh, right. Well..” Jack leaned over and gave her a small peck on the cheek before motioning towards the stove. “I’m glad you’re awake, the eggs are almost ready. I hope that’s alright for this morning?”
Sally inhaled deeply. “They smell divine, Jack, thank you. It’ll do just fine but...you didn’t have to, really, I could’ve made something for myself”
“Nonsense, I’m happy to cook for you. Unless.. of course, you really wanted to? If that’s the case, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean-”
“Jack” Sally reached up to cup his face. He fell silent at the gesture. “It’s okay, dearest. It's not a big deal who cooks for who. I appreciate you thinking of me” she patted the side of his face gently. “How about, if I cook dinner, then we’ll call it even?”
The skeleton chucked, “Deal.” And kissed her once more before reaching over and sliding the rotten eggs onto their plates one by one.
--
After the couple finished up their breakfast, Jack washed the dishes and decided it was probably a good time to get ready to head into town soon. He was about to go back towards his bedroom to get his shoes when Sally called him into their living room. She spoke to him as he entered.
“Jack, Could I make something…” she pointed downward to the little ghost sleeping at her feet. “…for Zero?”
He smiled at the thought. “Like what?”
“I’m thinking…” she tapped her chin. “A scarf?”
Jack walked over and sat down on the couch next to her. He reached for her hand, squeezing it. “I think that’s a wonderful idea, Sal.”
“Do you? Good.” She squeezed his hand back and leaned close, so their noses were almost touching. “I hoped you’d think so..”
Her sudden closeness caught him a little off guard, but Jack took the hint. “Of course..” he leaned forward and closed the gap between them, a bit relieved to have access to her lips this time. Sally kissed back and wrapped her arms around his neck, practically melting into him.
He wrapped his arms around her waist in response, enjoying this moment immensely. They probably would have continued, had a jarring noise not  suddenly cut through the air.
Brrriiiing
Brrriiiing
Brrriiiing
The phone. It rang loudly, and startled both of them. Jack pulled away and looked in its direction.
“Probably the mayor…” his tone sounded slightly annoyed. He turned to Sally. “- I should get that.”
“Of course, go ahead.”
The king stood up and walked to the opposite side of the room where the phone was hanging on the wall. He hesitated, cleared his throat, then picked it up.
“Skellington residence. Jack speaki-”
“Jack!!” the mayor's voice rang from the other side. “Thank HALLOWEEN you answered! Where are you?”
“Ah, horrible morning, Mayor. Still at home of course-“
“There are things that need to be done, Jack!! Halloween is only 96 days away! Why aren’t you here yet, it’s not like you to be late!”
If Jack had eyes, he’d be rolling them. “I’d hardly call it late..”
“It’s late by YOUR standards! You’re usually in town by now, what’s holding you?”
“Er…” Jack glanced over at Sally, who was still sitting on the couch petting zero. “…I don’t know, nothing I suppose. We just finished eating, I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
“Huff… alright. Terrible morning Jack, I’ll see you soon.”
The skeleton hung up the phone and sighed. Typical mayor, never letting him get an ounce of alone time.
Sally stood off the couch and walked over. “I take it you’re leaving now?”
“I’m afraid I must. I apologize.”
“It’s quite alright love, you have important things to take care of. I still need to get dressed, anyways” she brushed off her nightgown and stood on her tiptoes to give him one last kiss on the cheek. “…I’ll try to come visit you in town later, how about it?”
Jack nodded. “I would love that, thank you.” He glanced at the clock. “-I must be off. I’ll see you soon, Sal” he opened his arms and Sally came forward into his embrace. Her voice was muffled.
“See you soon, Jack. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
--
It seemed to be a fairly average day in town. As Jack walked the streets he greeted people on the side like he always does, everyone happy to see him as usual. He was able to get to the town square in a reasonable amount of time, which was good, because the mayor was already there waiting for him. A small stack of papers were piled in his tiny hands.
“Jack!! There you are!” He called out to him as he approached. “Horrible to see you, you almost scared me half to life when you weren’t here!”
Jack sighed. The Mayor can be so dramatic sometimes. “Horrible to see you as well, Mr. Mayor. Shall we get started for the day?”
“Ah, yes! Of course”, the shorter man cleared his throat and lifted the papers up to his face. “Firstly, we need to check in with all those who agreed to carve the pumpkins this year, to see how that’s progressing. You have a meeting with the vampires around 9:30… oh! And there are some documents in your office you’re going to need to have signed by tomorrow”
Jack nodded as he listened. “Very well, that all sounds… manageable. I suppose we should get started.”
“Yes! Let's not waste any more time” The mayor tucked the papers under his arm and scurried off in another direction. Jack folded his hands behind his back, and reluctantly followed.
Jack Skellington found himself to be more tired than he thought he was. Or, maybe he was just bored. Or perhaps, a bit distracted. Maybe a little of all three.
Most of his morning consisted of meeting with people. Checking in on the pumpkin carving, the training of the bats, etc etc. He was almost relieved when it came time to finally head back to his office to sign those documents the mayor spoke of. Typically the same ones each year, so Jack didn’t mind.
The skeleton was sat at his desk, writing away with his quill. He tapped his foot lightly and hummed to himself. He was almost through all the papers, when there was a knock at the door. He looked up.
“Come in.”
The doorknob turned slowly and the door opened. Jack sat up straight and smiled upon seeing who his visitor was.
“Hello there, Sally.”
“Hello, Jack.” Sally walked over to him happily, hands placed behind her back. “...I came to see you, just like I said.”
“So you have” the skeleton chuckled and stood from his seat, coming around to meet her on the other side of the desk.
“How was your morning?” She asked him.
“Relatively normal, the meetings ran smoothly. The vampires seem happy with their new role. How about you?”
“Very good, thank you. I’ve already designed out a plan for Zero’s scarf- I think I’m going to head across town to buy some fabric for it after lunch.” She moved her head forward and leaned against her husband, taking his hand. “...I missed you, you know..”
“Awe, it’s only been a couple hours” he squeezed her hand back, “..I missed you as well. I felt bad leaving you so suddenly this morning.”
“It’s nothing to feel bad about, dearest. You have important… kingly duties that need attending too.”
“Yes, but” Jack straightened his back to face her, brushing a piece of her hair to the side and cupping her cheek lovingly. “...Nothing is more important to me than you are.”
Sally blushed a bit. “Well… I’m here now.”
He chuckled again, “True. And in that case..” Jack brushed his thumb along the side of her lip, and wrapped his free hand around her waist. “May I?”
“Of course..”
With both their eyes closed, they leaned in. Their lips barely brushed together when a loud bang was heard and the door suddenly swung open.
“Jack!” the Mayor shouted as he strutted into the room, “Some of the ghosts have requested a meeting with you for this afternoon! Did you finish signing the-” he halted suddenly, noticing the image of the king and queen in front of him. “-papers….”
Jack and Sally jolted away from each other, embarrassed. It would be one thing if they were in a private area, but technically Jack was supposed to be working right now. He let go of Sally and stared blankly at the mayor. It was quiet for a second, before the short politician spoke again.
“Is this… a bad time..?”
“No..” snapping out of it, the skeleton cleared his throat and shook his head. “-No! No, no, it’s alright. What is it that you need, Mayor?”
“Well… ahem.” he adjusted his papers, “-I was just coming to check if you were finished! Like I said, the ghosts have a matter in which they wish to speak with you about, they were hoping for this afternoon.”
“I see..” Jack glanced at Sally- who was staring at the ground- before walking back around the desk to check his meeting schedule. “...I should have enough time to fit something in. Let them know I’ll come find them as soon as I can.”
“Will do! How are the documents coming along?”
“Just fine, I’m almost finished.”
“Right, well… try to get done as quickly as possible! Remember there’s a lot to do today. I’ll check back in soon!” As he turned to leave again, he realized he hadn’t even acknowledged Sally. Not wanting to be rude, he tipped his hat to her awkwardly. “-horrible morning, Mrs. Skellington.”
She forced a smile and waved. “Morning..”
With one last nod, the Mayor turned and walked out the door. It shut with a very satisfying click.
“Call me crazy, but...” Jack sat down in his chair. “...I don’t think we seem to be having very good luck today.”
“Well, that was certainly.. something.” She laughed nervously. “Doesn’t seem that way, does it? I should probably get going.”
“Awe, so soon?” He teased. Sally rolled her eyes.
“Nice try, Mr. Skellington. You’ve got documents to finish.” She thought for a moment. “How about.. If we meet up for lunch instead?”
“Horrific idea! I’ll come find you in… an hour maybe? How about it?”
Sally smiled, heading towards the door. “Sounds good, my love. I’ll see you soon.”
“You as well…” She blew Jack a kiss before finally departing.
The skeleton sighed, slightly frustrated about being interrupted again, and annoyed that he’s back to work when he knows he’d much rather be spending time with his wife. Just one day… that's all he’d ask for. But.. he’ll get to see her again soon. Just knowing that she’ll be waiting to have lunch with him was enough to brighten his mood back up a bit. Picking up his quill, he dipped it in ink, and continued right where he left off.
--
“This was a great idea, Sal.” Jack smiled at her as they walked along the side of the street, hand in hand. The restaurant they were going to eat at was just a few buildings away. “It feels like it's been ages since we’ve eaten out like this.”
“Oh, I agree” The ragdoll fluttered her eyelashes. “-And the nicest part is, we can spend more time together. I know we usually eat lunch just the two of us, but, It does feel like you’ve been rather busy as of late..”
“Ah, yes. Once we hit less than 100 days until Halloween.. My schedule can get pretty crowded.” He squeezed her hand, “-but you know I’ll always make time for you, just say the word, day or night.” Sally giggled.
“I know… but I do hate to bother you when you’re busy.”
“I’ll never be too busy for you, Sally” The couple exchanged a heartfelt glance as they approached the doors to the restaurant. Jack held it open for her, bowed, and winked.
“-After you, my Queen.”
The two chose to sit in the back, in a small secluded booth where they could finally be alone. They placed their drinks, which came rather quickly, and then their orders. Sally finally relaxed her shoulders and sighed.
“I forgot how nice this place is..” She admitted, “How long has it been since we were here?”
“Hmm…” Jack thought for a moment. “...I don’t think we’ve been here since before our wedding.”
“Oh, my. Well then, I’m very glad you could make it here with me.”
“As am I..” he hesitated, before adding. “..The mayor seems determined on keeping us apart today, doesn’t he?”
She laughed. “It does seem that way. I think he just wants you to stay focused on Halloween.”
“Ohh, come on now. I’m plenty focused.”
“Really? You weren’t thinking of me at all, earlier?” She teased him.
“Well…”
“That’s what I thought.” Sally laughed, grabbing the top of her straw and moving it to sip her Drink. Jack tried not to smile but couldn’t help himself.
“Alright, you got me. Maybe I was a little distracted…” he reached across the table and placed his hand on top of hers. “But how could I not be, when you’re so…” He searched his head for the right word, “...alluring.”
She blushed a bit and intertwined her fingers into his. “You aren’t bad yourself, you know..”
The skeleton chucked, and opened his mouth to reply before being instantaneously cut off by a loud voice echoing through the restaurant.
“JACK!! There you are!!”
For the love of the Pumpkin Patch you have GOT to be kidding me.
Jack turned around and sure enough, the mayor was rushing towards them with his unhappy face flipped. As he ran up to them he showed absolutely zero regard to the fact that he was OBVIOUSLY barging right into their date.
“Mayor-”
“JACK!! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!! We have a problem, we need you to come quick!”
He glanced at Sally, then back to the mayor. “Surely, this can wait? I haven’t even-”
“NO!! There’s been an accident with the pumpkins!! We need you right NOW!!”
The king sighed. Never a moment's peace. He looked at Sally, who had an expression of pity on her face. He felt absolutely horrible that their moment was being ruined yet again. And for a reason that was probably unnecessary, knowing how the mayor tends to overreact. But, it was clear he wasn’t going to leave without Jack.
“Alright, alright. I’ll be right there..” He turned to his wife. “Sally-”
“No, Jack. It’s okay. I understand, this seems important.” She took his hand and they both stood out of their seats. “I’ll just take our food to go, okay? See you at home, dearest.” Jack nodded solemnly, kissed her once on the cheek and took his leave, following closely behind the mayor. Annoyance burned in the back of his throat, but he tried to swallow it and decided to just deal with the situation as quickly as possible. The sooner he could get home to Sally, the better.
--
Truth be told, Sally expected this sort of thing to happen. The mayor… he was always like this. Could never seem to take a hint. But it was alright, it couldn’t be helped. She understood that perfectly.
The ragdoll was back at Skellington manor now, sitting on the second floor in her sewing room. She was currently working on that scarf she wanted to make Zero. As disappointed as she was that her date with Jack a few hours ago was cut short, she was at least somewhat glad to get started on this. After leaving the restaurant she spent some time around town, chatted with the witches a bit, purchased the fabric she needed and even was able to call and have a short conversation with Jewel over the phone.
For Zero’s scarf she picked the color combination of black, white, and orange, thinking it would go well for the ghostly pup. At the moment, he was sleeping soundly at her feet, seeming unaware of the gift his mistress was making him.
Sally glanced at the clock, wondering how long it would be before Jack would return home. Almost on cue, she heard the front door open.
Jack was exhausted after today. Sure, he got lots of work done, but it seemed to be that the one thing he wanted to do was the one thing he couldn’t - spend time with his beloved. While yes, they have all the time they could want together during most of the evening and the night, but it doesn’t feel much the same. He wanted to be able to do more with her, spend time around town, without getting interrupted constantly. He knows that he usually gets busy around this time- but- this would be the first time experiencing a busy rush while being a married man.
Jack shook his head to clear it. He reminded himself that this won’t be his only opportunity- that didn’t stop him from being annoyed, however. But he was home now. So it no longer mattered.
He slipped off his shoes, and then his suit jacket, hanging it up by the door. “Dearest?” he called, “I’m h-!”
Jack’s sentence was cut off as Sally came at him suddenly, jumping and  wrapping her arms around him. He made an ‘oof’ sound as her weight was thrusted onto his chest, rather unexpectedly.
“Sal..”
“Welcome home, my love!” she cooed.
“Ah...haha..thank you. I’m glad to finally be here.”
“So am I..”
“What have you been up to..?”
“Oh, nothing much. But I have been waiting for you. What do you say we relax a bit? Before making dinner?”
“After today? I’d love nothing more.” The skeleton chucked and let go of her. They walked across the room to the lunge area, sitting back on the couch where they were that morning so they could be more comfortable. A bit of cuddling would really hit the spot right now.
Jack sat down and opened his arms to her, to which Sally took the invitation right away. She fell into his lap with no hesitation, then onto her back to the side which pulled him down next to her. They wrapped their arms around each other and Sally nuzzled herself into his collar. She sighed blissfully through her nose.
“I needed this… I love you, Jack..”
“I love you too” Jack smiled, he tilted his head down and left soft kisses across her cheek that trailed down the stitches by her lips. She giggled at this, about to turn her head to kiss him back when,
SCCRRRREEEEEEEECCCHHHHHH!
The doorbell screamed loudly, once again startling the both of them. Jack, fed up, expressed his annoyance out loud this time.
“Are you serious right now..”
Sally couldn’t help but laugh. “You were right, it’s just not our day, is it?”
“I don’t feel like getting up…”
“Jack, go answer the door please.”
SCCRRRREEEEEEEECCCHHHHHH!
It rang again. Jack grumbled.
“This is getting kind of ridiculous..”
“Sweetheart, the sooner you answer the door, the sooner you come back here.”
As ticked off as he was, Jack knew she was right. Reluctantly, both of them sat up and let go of eachother. The king got off the couch and began making his way towards the door.
SCCRRRREEEEEEEECCCHHHHHH!
“JAAACK?? ARE YOU HOME?”
The third screech was accompanied by the mayor's voice. Go figure. Whatever he wanted, it better be important. He was ecstatic when Jack opened the door.
“Ah!! There you are!! I thought I'd seen you come back here.” Trying to stay patient with him, Jack just nodded.
“Yes, do you need something, Mr. Mayor?”
“Right, of course! I just wanted to bring you these.” He held out a stack of papers in his hand. He explained, “..These are the things I’ve gathered that need to be done in the next two days!! There’s quite a bit on there… I figured you might want to get a head start!”
He took the stack from him and examined it. He was right… There was a lot. But Jack really wasn’t in the mood for this right now.
“..I see. Thank you, Mayor, I’ll be sure to get started as soon as possible.”
“Horrible to hear!! Well, I have to get going. I’ve got a few more things to organize myself- have a terrible night, Jack!”
“You as well.” He bid him goodbye, and shut the door behind him.
Finally back inside, Jack dropped the papers onto the counter. He paged through them briefly… It could take a while to get through this. It would probably be wise to start that night.
But no.
Right now, all he really wanted to do was be by Sally’s side. Just to hold her, and not have to worry about anything for a little while.
He brushed the papers off to the side, deciding right then that he would deal with it tomorrow morning. Because right now, he finally, FINALLY had the one thing he wanted all day.
Just him, Sally, and their love for eachother.
He could never ask for anything better.

Spooky Lips (Lin Beifong x Fem! reader)
A/N:posting this on october 1st so happy spooky month yall! halloween is talked about a bit in this fic :)). i decided to make it a bit uh smutty because i’ve seen some other prompts like this and wanted to spice it up a bit. thank you @adryan-scott for the request!
warnings: slight smut so 18+
Tumblr media
You felt giddy as the chilly air of fall nipped your skin. It had always been your favorite season with the warm colours and hot drinks. October had finally begun and with that came your favorite season: Halloween. You held the box of halloween decorated cookies and chocolate pastries in front of you, balancing the hot caramel sweet drink along with a black coffee on top of it. The black pleated dress with the white collar fluttered a bit in the wind as you made your way to Republic City’s police station. Before stopping into your studio, you wanted to pick up something for your girlfriend, Lin. You wanted to kick off the month right. Lin thought holidays were childish but would begrudingly join you in spooky events. Though she seemed to be happier after them. You shivered a bit as you turned another block. The black thigh highs you wore helped keep most of your legs warm. Hopefully she won’t be too grumpy, you mused as you hurried down the block.
“Morning,” a lieutenant grumbled, swiftly gazing at the person who disturbed his work. You smiled cheerfully. The man’s brow seemed to raise at the black lipstick you wore. You ignored it. Nothing would stop you from being excited about the spooky season and seeing your girlfriend. “Is the chief in her office?” The man nodded, “She asked not to be disturbed.” “That’s alright,” you replied, leaving the entrance to the station. The man grumbled under his breath, “It’s your death wish.”
Lin sighed sharply as she read over the reports. The avatar team seemed to enjoy being a pain in her ass. Knock knock. Lin sighed taking off her glasses and rubbing her temples. “I remember saying I do not wish to be disturbed,” she called out sharply. It was only 9am and she could feel her head starting to ache. “Not even for me,” you teased. Lin’s eyes lit up (not that she’d ever admit it) and a smile pulled at her lips. She felt her heart warm once her green eyes settled on you. There was a box in your hands and a two coffee cups. “That smells delicious,” Lin said softly, raising from her chair. “I’d hope so,” you replied brightly, swinging your hips as you set it on her desk. Lin’s door closed with a soft click.“I figured you haven’t eaten breakfast yet so I wanted to drop by and celebrate early.” Lin chuckled, “It’s only the first day darling.” “I know,” you said, taking the cups off the box, “I just can’t wait!” There was a fondness in Lin’s eyes. It twinkled as you handed her her coffee and a cute little ghost cookie. It was covered in white icing and had cute little black eyes with a little smile. “Fuck that’s good,” you groaned, holding a chocolate donut in hand. There was a little skeleton iced on it and creme threatened to come out of the pastry. “Language,” Lin chided you, sipping coffee. “Sorry,” you murmured taking another bite. “It’s just so good.” She chuckled, “Might want a napkin with that. It might fall.” Your brows furrowed until some dropped on your fingers. You sighed, “We can’t have nice things huh.” Lin snorted, “You are right about that my dear.”
You sighed into the kiss as you perched on her desk. Lin’s arms gripped her desk beside you, trapping you there. The box of goodies sat forgotten a couple of feet from the both of you. “Sorry,” you said in between kisses as a couple papers fell. Lin waved it off, prodding your lips with her tongue and slipped through them. Sighing, you grazed your fingers over her cheeks, steading her. “Wore these just for me hm?” Lin’s hands pulled the black thigh high stockings you wore for emphasis. “You know me too well,” you smirked. Lin chuckled. “Aren’t you worried someone will come in,” you squeaked as Lin  nibbled your ear. Her teeth were gentle, barely grazing your lobe. You felt your cheeks tinge from it. “They know not to bother me.” All worries left forgotten as you heard the sound of a zipper unzipping. You felt goosebumps rise on your skin as the cold air hit you. Lin slid your arms out of the sleeves and rolled the  top of your dress towards the skirt as Lin pushed it down. She inhaled sharply at the bralette you wore. It was black and lacy, the area around the nipples sheer. The front had a little bit of a criss cross pattern to it. “Such a tease,” Lin murmured. You giggled, “Yet you love it.” She chuckled darkly, “That I do.” A squeak left your lips as she pushed you down onto the desk. It was sturdy and a bit uncomfortable, but you couldn’t complain. You mewled as her fingers rubbed softly over your nipples. Lin sucked at your jaw and the pressure of her fingers made you whimper. The sheer fabric made the pleasure on your nipples stronger.  You arched your back on her desk and yelped as her fingers pulled gently. “I haven’t even started and you’re already keening under me,” Lin remarked, teasingly. You huffed, “It’s hard not to whenever you do that.” You whimpered once her mouth sucked on your areola. “Lin,” you squeaked. She hummed; the vibrations over the fabric making the sensation stronger. Lin’s other hand sneaked up to your other nipple. It rubbed and pinched it just right. “P-please,” you whimpered, grinding against the air. You moaned as her thigh met your panties. Your cunt grinded against her thigh, your skin heating up. Lin’s hands pushed your bra up, setting your tits free. The cold air made them harden and you groaned as her lips latched onto one.
You tugged on her hair as purple and red bruises bloomed on your chest. “Look at you,” Lin said darkly. “Grinding on my leg, trying to get off like a whore.” Your cunt twitched at her words and your cheeks heated up. “Want me to ruin you on my desk? Make you cum so hard you’ll be begging me to stop?” Nodding you said desperately, “Please L-Lin I’ll be good!” She smirked, stroking your cheek. “Good.” Her fingers trailed down from your abused tits to your thighs. You wiggled a bit as they teased your inner thigh. Lin’s finger over your covered clit made you jump. You pressed up against her as she applied more pressure. It’s not enough. “Lin,” you breathed out, “Go f-”
“Chief Beifong- woah” Your blood ran cold, a surprised squeak leaving your lips. Thankfully, Lin was already over you, protecting whoever interrupted the two of you. Peeking over her shoulder you could see team avatar standing in the doorway. “What,” Lin snapped, her gaze an icy glare. “W-we were just h-here with some more i-information..but it seems like you’re busy...” Korra. “I asked to not be disturbed,” Lin growled. “Leave.” “Y-yes mam,” who you assumed Bolin and Mako replied. “Very sorry,” Asmai and the rest of the group all but yelled, shuffling out quickly.
“Idiots,” Lin murmured. Her lips were set into a frown. Shimming off the desk and getting your clothes situated, you leaned up to give her a kiss. “Make sure to eat lunch okay?” Grabbing your drink you headed to the door. Lin’s brows furrowed but didn’t say anything. She needed to get back to work anyways. Opening the door you threw your girlfriend one last glance and a smirk. Giving her a wink you drawled, “We’ll continue after the pumpkin carving.” And with that, you left her office, giggling as the avatar and her friends refused to look at you.

HASO, “A bucket.”
I wrote this little fluff piece this morning because I didn’t have the energy to write anything else. Still fighting with my motivation right now, but I hope you all like it :)
The air smelled like fall, wet dirt, a chill, and the unmistakable tang of mouldering leaves raked into large yellowing piles. The sky overhead was blue, and it was just beginning to warm as the sun peaked higher into the sky.  Standing on the sidewalk, he stared down the street of his childhood watching orange and yellow leaves fall to the pavement. In the distance he could hear the shouting of children, and watched decorative skeletons clatter and blow in a light wind.
A soft crunching noise jogged him from his musings, and he turned to see Sunny contemplatively staring at a yellowed leaf, only to watch her pop it into her mouth and crunch on it like it was a potato chip.
He frowned at her and she turned to look at him, “What?”
“Seriously?”
“What do you mean, Seriously?”
“Gonna go ahead and eat the fall ambiance?”
She frowned at him,” The trees aren’t using them anymore, and I don’t see you eating them.” He just shook his head at her, and turned to walk up the front steps and onto the porch. She paused to stare at the cluster of pumpkins on the front steps, and the grizzly faces that were carved into them. His father was a master at pumpkin carving, evidenced by the fact that Sunny made, “What the hell.” she turned to look at Adam and he shrugged.
“What are those?”
“Pumpkins/”
“That does not answer my question.”
“THey are a type of squash or gourd or…. Or something. People grow and eat them most of the time, but it is traditional, in october to carve scary faces on them for fun. Maybe mom has another one lying around and will let you try it out.”
“But why?”
“Back in the day people thought that doing this would help to fend off evil spirits, but now it is more of a contest to flex who is the most artistic. Dad wins every year.”
They stepped onto the porch where fallen leaves were still clinging wetly to the front steps and knocked.
“It’s open!” Came the voice from inside
The two of them slipped in, Adam taking off his shoes and Sunny wiping her damp feet on the entrance rug.
They walked into the living room to find his mother, Martha sitting on the floor at the center of an explosion of pictures, and a couple of open binders.
Adam and Sunny walked in very carefully stepping over the pictures.
“Sorting the photo album again?” “Again, the last time I did this was almost ten years ago.”
Adam wantered closer to his mother and Sunny curiously examined some of the photos, until one caught her eye.
A very tiny, chubby human barely able to stand on his own, and with bright green eyes.
She picked up the picture gingerly in one hand, “Awww is this you? You and your fat little cheeks.”
Adam turned, and Sunny held up the picture. Adam blushed and Martha laughed, Sunny looked at the next picture in the line, which seemed to be paired to the first, but now the small boy had a large bucket on his head, his feet sticking out from underneath. The bucket had holes in the side.
“What are you doing.”
Martha laughed again, “We were playing hide and seek.” Adam was still blushing madly as she continued, “He grew into his intelligence late in life.”
***
Martha walked slowly from the back room into the living room, “Ready or not here I come.”
The house was mostly quiet. The rest of her brood was out with their father on a hike for the day, but their littlest had woken up with a slight cough so she had decided to keep him home. He had spent the first half of the day lethargic, but around lunch time after some strawberries he had perked up and become  his usual exhausting self.
“Come out come out. I’m gonna get you.”
It was the giggling that gave him away, but when she turned to look she paused, sagged a bit and rolled her eyes covering her smile and laugh with a hand. The living room was completely clean, aside from a round laundry basket sitting dead in the middle, and two chubby little legs sticking out from under it. Not to mention that since it was a laundry basket it had holes in the side, and she could see him looking at her from inside.
She discreetly took a picture and quietly to herself Lord child i hope you grow into your brains soon
But instead of calling him out on his hiding spot she wandered around the room hands on hips, “Now where could he have gone…. Could he be under here?”
Giggling
She kept up the pretence for the longest time until he seemed to have gotten tired of her charade. She heard the bucket tip over and he ran over on his stubby little legs grabbing her by the leg.
She acted surprised, “OH there you are!. I have been looking ALL over.”
He grinned and hugged her leg again.
She reached down and picked him up and he rested his head against her shoulder.
That was another thing about her youngest. He was VERY VERY cuddly, and she idly wondered what that would translate to when he got older. She patted his back and tried to fix his unruly blond hair which stuck up from all sides of his head, but it was no use, she sighed and gave up.
Oh well, she tried her best.
***
“You know honestly sometimes he is STILL as dumb as a pile of bricks.” Sunny mused setting the picture back down.
Adam rubbed the back of his neck, “I got my masters in aviation and orbital physics.””
“And yet who is the one who insists on putting strange alien plants in his mouth without knowing i they are safe or not.”
Martha frowned at her youngest.
He frowned back, “That is hardly fair, you eat them.”
“I also eat leaves, doesn’t mean you can too.”
She sifted through the pictures and barked a laugh at one that caught her eye, she picked it up, what are you doing. She turned the picture around, and Adam blushed madly. Martha laughed, “Oh yeah, we had to call the fire department for that one.”
“No, no no we are not going to be telling that story.”
A firefighter and a cop framed either side of the picture both giving exaggerated thumbs up with a young boy\ mabe seven or eight in the background stuck, backside first in a bucket of some sort, looking very embarrassed.
Martha grinned, “I think you were seven or eight maybe.”
“IT was Jeromy’s fault.”
****
“I dare you.”
The four boys and one girl stood  at the top of the hill staring down.
Maya, who was fifteen years old, older by five years than Jeremy who was eleven, frowned down the hill, “What if he runs into one of those trees.”
“He's got a thick skull, he’ll be ok.” Thomas said ruffling Adam’s hair viciously so the younger boy squirmed protested and ducked away. Adam was a very small boy, shorter than average and very thin. His clothes always seemed too big, his shirts baggy, and the shorts he was wearing were forced to stay on only by the belt his father had had to poke three more holes into to make it fit.
Even his sneakers seemed too big flopping around on his feet with floppy untied laces.
“Who is even going to fit in that?” David asked.
Arguably the smartest of the three brothers, it hadn’t occurred to the others that none of them would fit.
That’s when all their heads turned to look at Adam.
Adam frowned, “But I don’t want to.”
“Chiken.” Thomas said
“Come on your the only one small enough.” Jeremy urged.
“I see your chances of dying as very low, “ David interjected helpfully.
Maya tossed her braid back over one shoulder, “We should at least put some padding down at the bottom. Because if he gets hurt mom will kill me.”
Maya was technically supposed to be babysitting them, and keeping them out of trouble. But as was common with their family, she was not immune to the pull of a hair brained idea especially not when she was just to curious to see how it turned out.
Adam stomped his foot, “But you guys ALWAYS make me do it.”
“Because the buckets are ALWAYS too small for us, “Come on don’t be a chicken.”
Adam sighed and walked over to the barrel. He tired crawling inside it backwards, and when that didn’t work he attempted to go in face first, but every time he was just to tall.
He shook his head, “Too small.”
David looked at him very thoughtfully, and then an idea seemed to jump into his head.
“Not if we fold you in half.”
Adam frowned at him.
“Come on, hold the barrel upright.” The other boys did as told, while David instructed Adam to sit inside butt first.
Adam frowned, “But that doesn’t sound very comfortable, and how am I going to get out.”
“We will tip you out, don’t worry.”
Adam frowned but then allowed himself to slide down into the barrel. It was immediately very uncomfortable.
He wanted to tell them to pull him out but by that time he had been tipped over onto his side, “Ready?”
“No.”
They ignored him.
Adam was near panicking now, it wasn’t exactly easy to breathe.
“Three, two, one.”
And then the world was spinning around him. He rocked and bounced and spun so fast his eyes rolled inside his head. He screamed but the scream was cut off as he slammed painfully into something.
Dazed and sure he was going to vomit, he heard voices.
“Oh no, Adam!”
“Adam are you ok!”
Footsteps raced down the hill.
“Oh no we killed him!”
“Shut up He’s still alive, look.” Something kicked his foot, and he groaned.
He’s still breathing.
“Let him out.”
Something tugged on his feet. But it only managed to pull him and the barrel with it.
“Here you guys hold the bucket and we will pull him out.
Wat ensued was a horrible tug of war on his legs and on the bucket neither of which seemed to want to let go.
“STOP!”
They dropped his legs.
“Um, what if we tipped the bucket upside down?”
“Ok.”
The four of them tried really hard, and at one point almost succeeded until someone’s hand slipped and Adam crashed into the ground very painfully. He was near panic now, “Guys! Get me out of here.”
David patted his foot, “Its ok, ill get you out, ‘we just need science.”
Science turned out to be a  shoddy pulley system that went over the swing set and was designed to let them lift the bucket by way of rope and shake Adam out onto the ground.
The problem was the rope kept slipping off the bucket.
“Oh… no.”
A car rolled over gravel.
“Oh no, dad’s home.”
They heard a car door slammed shut, and Adam felt as the others hurriedly rolled him behind the swingset.
A door opened and the jangle of keys followed their father around the side of the house.
“There you all are, glad to see everyone is still in one piece, you didn’t burn the house down.”
“Nope.”
“Nope.”
There was sudden silence, “Where is Adam.”
“Uh, he…. He is us, around here somewhere.” Jeremy had always been bad at lying
Their father turned his gaze on Maya, “Maya what is going on.”
“Uh…. nothing dad, we….”
“Don’t even try it….”
She sagged a bit, “We got Adam stuck in a barrel.”
There was a moment of silence, he heard the shifting of footsteps, “You got Adam stuck in a-” The light filtering into the barrel was cut off and he saw the silhouette of his father’s head, “Huh, you weren’t kidding. You are okay in their kiddo.”
His muffled reply came.
“Yeah…. I guess.”
Their dad grabbed the barrel by one end, tipped it over and shook Adam a few times. WHen nothing happened he gently set him back down, “Huh.”
“I hold and you pull his feet, “” They tried again but it didn’t work the second time either.
“Well, I have some tools in the garage.”
Adam began to panic as he thought of his dad's circular table saw.
“NO!”
“Ok ok.”
He heard his dad quiet for a minute and then, “Hey Joe, yeah this is Jim Vir….. doing good, and you, how about the family….. Glad to hear it….. Yeah anyway, my kids got my youngest boy stuck in a barrel like the geniuses they are, and I can’t seem to get him out. You want to send me a firefighter or two with something that can help….. Yeah thanks joe.”
Adam was relieved.
Of course as it turned out it was a slow day at both the police department AND the fire station, so what came rolling up was a motorcade of emergency vehicles. Adam was so embarrassed he wished he could melt through the barrel and into the ground as a group of cops and firefighters walked over to peer down at him from above.
“That looks comfortable.”
“How are you doing there son?”
There barrel was tipped back over, and he even saw his father sna a few pictures as the firefighters and police went to work surrounding the barrel. Of course since the entire towns emergency crew were here that drew curious neighbors who couldn’t help but laugh along with Jim at the antics of his children.
The wors part is when Martha showed up, and ran from the car scared out of her mind assuming something horrible had happened, only to find her husband laughing and taking pictures with the local emergency response team, and her youngest stuck in an oversized bucket.
At the end of the day they were forced to cut him out, but the sweet relief when he tipped onto the ground free at least was almost worth the embarrassment. He might not have thought that if he had known there was still a picture in both the police department and the fire station of him as a kid stuck in a barrel.
***
Sunny was laughing at him by the time Martha was done with her story.
He grimaced, “Why do you only keep finding the embarrassing pictures.
“Oh what is this,”
“What are you wearing?”
Adam covered his eyes.
“Oh yeah, I couldn’t get my other boys to wear it, but he would model anything for me when I needed it. This was when I was doing a commission for a Seventies themed party. Isn’t he adorable.”
“Is that a jumpsuit, and what is with those glasses.”
Adam looked up at the sky.
“And of course when Maya moved out, and I didn’t have the money for a mannequin….”
Sunny picked up another picture, “That is one big ass dress.”
“Ah yes the bell skirts, doesn’t he look nice.”
Adam grunted and cleared his throat, “I think you'll find corsets are surprisingly comfortable. Second of all, I rock the regency and victorian periods, and no one can tell me otherwise.”
He might as well own it.
This was the 41st century, dresses weren’t just for women anymore, and some of them had been quite comfortable.
They would never really be his style, but he could see  why someone else would find them appealing.
By this point both Sunny and martha had migrated to the couch where they looked through embarrassing pictures of him as a baby and shared embarrassing stories. Sometimes gross stories as he sat on the other side of the room and suffered silently. Sunny seemed to be enjoying herself though, so he let it slide.
Seeing her happy was nice, since it hadn’t been very common over the past few months.
He blamed himself for that, and wondered idly how long it would take for her to fully forgive him.
He hoped not long.

“Sam, I need another pumpkin and more sweets. Your brother is a goddamn sweets thief,” you groan, glaring at Dean who is about to steal your candies for Halloween. “Dean Winchesters, hands of my sweets!” You slap Dean’s hand away, poking your phone into his chest. “If you do not stop to sneak around my sweets, I’ll tell Sam to get me handcuffs and duct tape too.”
“Sammy, get me some sweets,” Dean yells at the phone, hoping his brother got the message. “Your girlfriend is a bad friend. She won’t share.”
“The sweets are for the kids in town,” stepping in front of the sweets you purse your lips. ”I dare you to steal more.”
“No kid will knock at the door of the bunker, sweetheart,” Dean grins, outrunning you to steal a bucketful of sweets. “Got one.” The hunter runs off, snickering when you throw an apple at him. “You should learn to aim better.”
“You’re lucky I love your brother, or you would be dead, Winchester,” Dean laughs, greedily ogling his prey. “Dean, you can’t eat all the sweets.”
“I can and I will, Y/N. It’s Halloween,” you nod, watching Dean smile like a kid when he looks at all the different sweet sins you bought. He doesn’t know you filled one bucket for your friend, knowing he’s a sweet tooth. “Nougat, sour drops, jaw breaker…all the good stuff.”
“Enjoy, Dean,” you smile, giving your friend a wink. “If you promise to help me carve the pumpkins you can have more later.”
“I think I’ll take your offer.” Dean turns to carry the bucket toward his room. “Thank you, sweetheart.”
“You’re welcome, Dean…”
Tumblr media
“Come on, help me, Sam,” you try to reach the top of one of the shelves at the library to place the fake spider webs on the books. “I’m too small. Give me a hand here.”
“Fine,” Sam is in a sour mood since you insisted you need to decorate the bunker for Halloween. While Dean is busy carving his second pumpkin, humming silently, his brother doesn’t seem to be interested in anything involving pumpkins or sweets.
“Why can’t you just help me decorate? I want the bunker to be a spooky and scary place on Halloween,” you grin, pointing toward Dean who carved a witch into the pumpkin. “Even Dean helps.”
“Dean likes Halloween, I don’t” you gasp at Sam’s confession. You never talked much about holidays. Most of the time you are on a hunt during holidays but this year you’ve got a break and want to celebrate Halloween.
“How can you hate Halloween?” You look up at Sam, disappointment clearly written all over your face. “I love Halloween.”
“Well, I hate it,” Sam grumbles walking out of the library, leaving you alone with your decoration.
“Why does he hate Halloween, Dean?” Dean stuffs another candy into his mouth shrugging at your question. “Dean, do you know why?”
“I got no clue,” you run toward your room to get the costume you bought for Halloween.
Sam will love Halloween after tonight. Whether he wants it or not.
Tumblr media
“Sam,” you purr when you step into your shared bedroom. “Why don’t you like Halloween?” You smirk when Sam looks up at you from the bed. He swallows thickly, Adam’s apple bobbing when you close the door.
“Y/N,” a low growl leaves Sam’s lips watching you slide his flannel down your shoulders to reveal your costume.
You’re wearing a miss prep school costume. The tie front crop top with plaid trim covers your chest poorly. The plaid skirt barely covers your ass and the stockings matching the pattern of Sam’s plaid let your boyfriends, cock twitch in interest.
“You know,” you sigh, stepping closer to place your hands onto Sam’s shoulders. “Maybe I can help you. Just tell me why you hate Halloween. Is it the sweets? The costumes?”
“No,” Sam’s eyes roam your body, drink your sexy outfit in. He’s running one hand over his clothed erection, poorly hiding his arousal. “It’s… there was that girl I liked,” you hum, now straddling Sam’s lap. You hum when he grips your ass. “I was in sixth grade, she invited me to her Halloween party.”
“Cool,” you smirk when Sam’s eyes drop to your cleavage. Usually, Sam is more subtle, steals glances now and then but not today. Today his eyes are glued to your body. “Tell me more,” you grind against his erection, teasingly rolling your hips. “Baby?”
“We played the game spin the bottle,” you snicker as Sam’s cheeks turn pink. “I had a huge crush on her and when I bent down as it was my turn, well I…”
“You can tell me, Sam,” running your fingers through his hair, tugging lightly you lean closer to peck his lips.
“I kinda…hurled, everywhere. Lunch, dinner it all came up, on the poor girl mostly. Kids ran and screamed and it was so embarrassing. I hid in the woods and waited for Dean to pick me up,” you nod, pecking Sam’s forehead.
“In other words, you didn’t get the girl and that’s the reason you hate Halloween,” you hum, hands cupping Sam’s face. “I’m sorry this happened to you but,” grinning you rock your hips. “You can have the girl, baby. Anytime, anywhere and in any position.”
“Any position,” you picked Sam’s interest. His eyes darken and you've got the feeling he suddenly likes Halloween or at least the costume you chose. “If you want me to enjoy Halloween, I want you in that costume. I’m going to be a bad teacher and give you an A+ if you are a good girl for me,” Sam whispers in your ear.
“I’ll be so good, Sir…”

Halloween Haunting: Magicam Mess
Warning: Spoilers for Halloween event; canon divergent CYOA, length: 1K
Previous | Next
Your personal rule is that if everything is going to fall apart it should be after you’ve had a good meal, but the lightning raining down from the sky indicates lunch is going to have to be put on pause for now.
“Hey! They never told us about any thunder! I hate when my fur gets all staticky,” Grim complains. Wheels churn in your mind as you try to formulate a plan that gets you and the tourists out alive. While you’re sure an electrocution or two would teach them a lesson, it’s a little too early to be an accessory to murder.
“I need your help. Just agree with what I say and help me spread a rumour,” you instruct your familiar.
“What? Can’t we just leave?” Grim rebuttals.
“This stamp rally is at our dorm. If things go wrong, the headmaster will punish us too and I know you hate cleaning.” Grim grumbles about this and that but by now you’re a pro at tuning him out. You looked at the top trending hashtags and decided which one to hijack. #perfectflower it is! You upload a photo of a petal, artsy and vague enough to support your lie.
“GREAT SEVEN! I’M GONNA MISS THE SUPER RARE FLOWER!” you scream. Your best acting? No, but it gets everyone’s attention so you blunder on.
“The night-blooming cereus would definitely trend! It only blooms once a year at night. Night Raven College even has a special one that looks like a galaxy,” you add in a voice that most definitely would not be appropriate indoors.
“What’re you talking about?” a tourist beside you inquires, magicam app open on their phone. You refrain from letting the smile on your face turn into a smirk.
“Don’t you know? Near the entrance, beside the big tree, there are several of them planted there. The Pomefiore students take care of them all year and then they bloom around Halloween. It’s why #perfectflower is trending!” you explain, giddy that someone took the bait.
“Let’s go there next after the Draconia challenge!” someone chimes. You grit your teeth to stop yourself from blurting out an insult. If they tried the Draconia challenge, they wouldn’t have a living body for much longer.
“Tonight the holographic one blooms but only for 30 minutes! They don’t exist in the wild, it’s only because of the students. You have to leave right now or you won’t make it in time!” You notice the hesitation as people look in the direction of the entrance and back to Malleus’ casting a storm of spells. While you could stand in awe about their lack of survival skills, truly is it that hard to choose between a pretty rare flower and being murdered by a dragon fae, you decide they need a little push.
“I’m going now. If I take a picture before everyone else, mine will be most popular.” You turn around and start walking with so much faux confidence maybe even Vil would compliment you unlikely but Rook would. You’re rewarded with the sound of fast footsteps, a couple of people even breaking it out into a run. There aren’t any flowers there, but you hope that the people regulating the front gate will be able to kick them out.
By the time you loop around, out of sight of the Magicam Monsters you just tricked, you notice Lilia and Malleus talking. Luckily the sky has cleared up and you don’t see any charred corpses on the ground, yet the bitter expression on Malleus’ face remains. You approach his side but the magic words to turn his frown into a smile escape your mind. Even after Lilia greets you, you’re unsure of what sentence is the right answer, so you hope sincerity is enough to carry you through.
“How are you doing?” you ask. It’s not anger or annoyance you’re met with, but the forlorn look in his eyes pierces your heart.
“I apologize. I chose Ramshackle as a stamp rally location. I just wanted you to enjoy Halloween too. However, I never imagined that it would bring so much trouble,” Malleus admits.
“It’s not your fault. It’s theirs for not following the rules.” Your words are true but they don’t seem to placate the dorm leader given the tight line his lips form. “Let’s go for a walk. I think we’ve both had enough of crowds for now.”
You tug on his hand and Malleus unexpectedly follows without resistance, though you’re unsure if the pink dusting his cheeks is from exhaustive use of magic or something else. You let out a complaint and Malleus reciprocates with one in turn. By the time you’ve wandered far away from the bustle of the stamp rally, neither of your problems are solved, but you both feel better after confiding in each other. Your hands are still linked together, your fingers aren’t intertwined but your grip isn’t loose either.
Eventually, the topic turns to lighter topics that bring a smile to your visage. Comparing Halloweens, stories of lighting things on fire, pumpkin carving, favourite treats, promises to try pumpkin pie ice cream together. But all good things come to an end and the serenity comes to an end saying that you HAVE to go to the Main Street.
And it turns out, your horrid day hasn’t ended because the Great Seven statues are toppled over and missing. Accusations are thrown and both student and staff alike are in shock. It’s one thing to litter waffles, it’s another to destroy statues of renowned magicians who represented the proud dorms.
“Tomorrow, the Halloween party might have to be cancelled,” Crowley adds. Troubled expressions morph into ones of shock and outrage. Disagreement is abound but the staff don’t budge due to concerns of students being harmed.
“The party will be held if the Magicam Monster problem is solved, right?” you ask. When Crowley gives you the confirmation, you plaster on a disappointed look as the wheels in your brain turn. The staff leave to gather the others and host a meeting but from the look in Jade’s eye, you can tell the other students are on the same page as you though Jade seems to always have that calculating gleam in his eyes.
“You have a point,” Azul acknowledges.
“We just have to chase away the Magicam Monsters from our campus,” Jade agrees and you can see several people around you having a lightbulb moment.
“We can confirm if they’re Magicam Monsters by seeing if they violate rules,” Vil states, dispelling worries about how to accomplish such a task.
“I’ll punch them away!” Deuce exclaims. You’re sure he’d follow through and that’s the problem.
“That’ll just make this a problem with the police,” Ace counteracts.
“We can’t just use magic attacks on them either, they’re going to figure out it’s not a security system,” Idia rebuttals when a couple of students suggest just flinging Magicam Monsters across campus. You know Idia’s right but you think it’d be very satisfying to toss yeet them away like garbage.
“Haaahaahaha!~” Floyd laughs, “You’re thinking so hard about this. The answer is easy to figure out.”
“Now, don’t laugh at them,” Jade chides while chuckling and baring his teeth. You’ve never seen someone act less sincere but you know better than to antagonize the leech twins.
“It is eating a delicious meal with everyone!” Kalim declares. You’re certain that’s not what the Octavinelle trio is thinking, free food is never their first bet, but you appreciate his sunshine disposition.
“Haaah... Rich kids really are impossible. We should make them feel uncomfortable and scare them away,” Ruggie explains.
“A night hunt under the moonlight! Magnifique! I can’t wait,” Rook exclaims. He has the same dreamy look in his eyes as when he envisions capturing his prey.
Which team do you want to help scare away the Magicam Monsters?
Heartslabyul’s Graveyard: Time to bury some secrets and maybe even a Magicam Monster or two
Savanaclaw’s Pirate ship: Who says the swords are fake even if the curse is?
Octavinelle’s Lab: Few are as good at deception at this dorm, and you’ve been itching to throw some Magicam Monsters into a personal sci-fi horror story
Scarabia’s Wereworlf curse: You hate bugs with a vengeance and scaring away rude tourists is better than lighting school property on fire. But will Kalim be able to scare everyone?
Ignihyde’s Spooky Night: Otakus wronged and the tech to bring horrors to life makes for an interesting combo that’s sure to leave a couple of people scarred.
Diasomnia’s Haunted Scare: Will revenge be as sweet as ice cream? You’re about to find out. The Magicam Monsters wanted so badly to get into your dorm, might as well let them in and have some fun with it!
Main Street’s Ghostly Hunt: If they’re bold enough to topple statues and take pictures on their pedestals, surely they can face a grim reaper after their life?

Trick or Treat! (Steve Rogers)
Tumblr media
Anonymous asked:
Can you do a Steve Rogers one-shot where the female reader is his wife and they take their 3 year old daughter trick or treating for the first time?
Hi sweetie, hope you enjoy! Thank you for sending this in! This was too cute to write :) Masterlist is linked in my profile, and to join a taglist, send in an ask or fill out a form linked in my profile.
Steve Rogers x Reader with daughter!OC Warnings: mentions of halloween decorations :) Word Count: 1.1k
When you saw your daughter, Sophie stumble and giggle and roar while going down the stairs, you awed out loud. She was so adorable, dressed as a giraffe, but insisted she was a shark-dinosaur. You were dressed as a vampire, and your husband, Steve was dressed as a zombie. Neither costume was scary, but cute.
You held out your arms as Sophie yelped out again, “Mommy! Can I hug you?” Her voice made you awe again, and you nodded back to her, laughing a bit, “Of course as long as you promise not to eat me!” She giggled along with you loudly, before jumping into your arms and resting her head onto your shoulder. She played with the shoulders of your costume as you walked into the living room.
You grinned sweetly to Steve as he adjusted his sleeves again, “You ready babe?” You asked him and Sophie instantly groaned, “Babe? He’s not a babe! That’s dad!” You and Steve stifled your laughter as he stood up.
“I’m ready! The bags are by the door, and I got a flashlight.” He explained, walking towards the two of you. He smiled at you, kissing your cheek slightly, before going to Sophie and poking her nose playfully.
“Wow you look so scary!” He exclaimed, laughing as Sophie roared at him again. You joined their laughter, setting Sophie down and glancing back over to Steve. You bit your lip to stop the spread of your smile, but you were just so happy.
Sophia ran off into the front door, bouncing excitedly. You stuck behind with Steve, cupping his face gently and leaning up to kiss his lips gently. Steve smiled softly, kissing you back before you pulled away, laughing as you felt Sophie tug at your leg after she ran back in.
“No kissing or the cupid monster will get you today!” She lectured the two of you, pouty as you and Steve laughed again. Steve raised his eyebrows back to Sophie, tilting his head, “Cupid monster? Did Peter tell you that one?”
She shook her head, shrugging back to the two of you, “Uncle Bucky. He also told me that on Halloween you eat every candy ever!” She stumbled over her words, causing you to awe even more at your daughter’s cuteness.
“How about we only eat… 10 pieces of candy tonight?” Steve offered back, quickly adding on, “And then tomorrow you can have some candy after you eat your lunch.” You agreed with him, before walking over to the front door after checking your phone.
It was only 6PM but you wanted to keep Sophie safe, and on her regular sleeping schedule. You grinned back to her, opening the door as Steve held the bags, giving one to Sophie. You placed the bowl of candy outside on the porch, smiling at the pumpkins by the side, which you and Sophie carved a few hours before.
She technically didn’t carve it because you didn’t want her to hurt herself, so she drew out an outline instead. It was a wonky smiley face with a heart on the side, which was too adorable. Yours was a bit creepier, opting for a scary face with sharp teeth and triangle eyes. When Steve saw both, he laughed, lifting Sophie up into a hug and kissing your cheek.
“Is that me?” He asked, as he stepped out the door, holding onto Sophie while carrying the bags, pointing towards yours. You grinned and raised your eyebrows back to him before tilting your head back to the craved pumpkin, humming in thought as a joke.
“Well…It’s more handsome than you are.” You playfully responded, laughing as Sophie agreed and poked his nose. Steve groaned like a zombie in response, putting Sophie down and holding back his laughter as you flashed the fangs back to him.
“I should just turn you both into zombies.” Steve retorted, causing Sophie to giggle even more. She waddled down the steps, turning around to you both. “Let’s go!” She exclaimed, jumping up and down as you smiled back to Steve happily.
“She’s amazing.” You whispered to him, taking a hold of his hand. Steve grinned back to you, “She got it from you.” His words caused you to laugh, shaking your head. You grabbed onto one of the bags, as the three of you walked towards your neighbor’s house.
When Sophie stood in front of the door, she glanced back to Steve, “Dad? I’m scared…” She trailed off, turning back to the door to see the spider decorations. There were webs clinging onto the door, and spiders hanging everywhere, including the door frame.
Steve stepped forward, squeezing her shoulder to encourage her as he knocked on the door. “Okay, when they answer, remember what to say?” He whispered down to Sophie, causing her to smile a bit uneasily.
“Yes!” She responded, glancing over to you as you adjusted your costume a bit. You smiled at her, giggling as she knocked on the door after Steve did. You glanced up as the door started to open, and you grinned at your neighbor, dressed in a cupcake costume. She pushed the door open all the way, holding onto a bowl of candy.
You glanced down to Sophie again as she shouted excitedly, “Trick or treat!” Your neighbor awed at your daughter, crouching down and pushing the bowl of candy in front. She laughed out, “Happy Halloween!” Sophie’s eyes widened at the sight of candy, instantly reaching in and scooping out a handful of candies.
Steve spoke up, “Thank you so much, right Soph?” He nudged her slightly, using her nickname. She nodded, still in awe of the candy as she trailed away from the door and shouted, “More trick or treating!” You giggled, standing behind her with Steve.
Steve pulled you close, wrapping his arm around your shoulders as Sophie strolled ahead of you. “I didn’t get a chance to say this, but you look very beautiful.” He murmured down to you sweetly. You bit your lip slightly before glancing up to him.
“I lied earlier about that pumpkin. You’re a handsome zombie.” You replied cheekily causing Steve to drop his head and let out a surprised laugh. You continued talking, “And our lovely daughter… She’s incredible, I feel like she’s growing up way too fast! Already out trick or treating!”
Steve agreed with you, “Yeah, next thing we know she’ll be in college or not, it depends on what she wants to do. But let’s just enjoy her first Halloween together for now, she’ll definitely remember this.” You nodded back to him as Sophie turned back to you.
“Mom! Dad! Look, it’s ghost!” Sophie called out, pointing up to a tree. You laughed as Steve started to act terrified, causing Sophie to stick her tongue out back at him. You grinned at the both, shaking your head at their antics but quickly joining after a moment. You loved them both very much, even as a zombie and a giraffe-shark-dinosaur.
