What was the first muse that you’ve written?

Will answer this for tumblr since I didn't know teh term "muse" before. The first one was I think Gladiolus Amicitia from FFXV for a brief time. But I quickly switched over to Somnus.

What is the muse that you write for the longest?

Somnus @somnus-lucis-caelum , though sparsely today, he goes back till January 2017 and Loqi @loqis who goes back to July 2017

Are you happy with how your favorite canon muse was portrayed in canon?

SE keeps fucking my faves over and over... I love them the way they are portrayed (it's their canon after all!) but I get nervous at every step SE takes. I bet they will fuck Glenn, too, soon enough... if his senseless death wasn't teh worst already.

Who was your first OC?

I dug deep in my old image folders. And I think it was a magic sword and lightmagic wielding kid named "Nyoel" back in 2008. Look at my amazing drawing skills back when I was 13! I cringe now, but I was proud of this lil mary sue back then.

Do you tend to focus on shipping or do you not care at all?

No, I care a lot about plot driven rps and uncovering different levels and reactions of characters. Shipping happens of course and I am very happy and lucky with the ships my idiots got! But it takes a lot of plotting out and writing.

What are the trends when it comes to writing that you adore?

Generally how much thought a lot of you put into the backgrounds and motivations of your muses! Fucking love reading about that! Don't know if that counts as trend tho... also I enjoy the small extra graphics many use as banners, but I'd never myself, I am far too lazy and would forget them half the time.

What are trends when it comes to writing that you dislike?

None that I would've noticed.

What’s the lie your character says most often?

“It’s alright,” it’s not alright. If you did something that hurt him, he may not do anything, or say anything about it, but if his choice of answer was an “alright”, it's not. Alright comes when he wants to end this conversation, when he does not have the energy to deal with whatever you just did. But it's not alright.

7. What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?

Either "Free books" or "DRAGON" would catch his attention.

His friends usually just yell, "Khal! Where teh fuck are you?"

14. How does he put out a candle?

Depends on how close he is to it. If it's in his proximity, he just blows some air on it. If it's far a way, he whysks a small aero at it. He's gotten good at that.

22. What simple activity that most people do / can do scares your character?

Pay attention to a conversation in a group. He gets easily overwhelmed. His horns and ears pick a lot of noise easily and he has a difficulty paying focusing on the conversation even if the person is talking directly to him. He also cannot read lips foh shit and is very scared of people who can.

30. When they make a mistake and feel bad, does the guilt differ when it’s personal versus when it’s professional?

It mostly depends. I think it depends more of the mistake than rather it is a personal or professional mistake. He is technically the warrior of light and an adventurer professionally, if he makes a mistake, it can cost someone's arm if not their entire life, and he has made these mistakes. He does not cope well with guilt, but he still tries his best.

38. What hobby are they good at in private, but bad at in front of others? Why?

Singing. He's a dragon and like any dragon he can sing. When alone he sings and hums a lot, but in the company of others he feels shame and stage fright so it goes down bad.

52. Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting?

Again, depends on the situation. Khal mostly likes to act once he knows all the details, but he mostly verbalizes on impulse his immediate thoughts and emotions. Some situations however as lead him to act on immediate impulse and sometimes it worked out worse for him. Now, he's trying to "look where you're stepping before you jump" more often.

56. If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?

Khal has been scared in the past, mostly for his own life and the lives of others. He is actually touchstarved and not used to being comforted. The first person to ever comfort him was Haurchefant, but ever since Fant died he can't think of anyone he'd like a hug from.

However, time might get him to grow closer to a certain librarian and by then, that's who he'd love a hug from. But he's still not there.

so haneul is .... very sad. actually. he thought maybe because he had performed well and had only improved in ranks that he was almost guaranteed an offer. he didn’t expect to get top three but he didn’t think he would get bottom three. while he’s pretty sad about it, he’s not going to show it and take everything gracefully. like genuinely, he’s not going to show that he’s sad until he’s home by himself. i’m going to write a solo about his mom finding out about the show and her calling him within the next while (hopefully) and we’ll go on from there!

Let's give Sage the spotlight. While I haven't had a full change to with with @astrxae Irisa, she clearly has so much love for her OC. I am a MAJOR supportor of soft muses, warm muses. A muse, specially women muses (because there is this stigma that if a muse is not punching you in teh face then they aren't strong. screw that!) who are still caring and kind despite such terrible situations. She's complex and well written, and I love the small bits of plotting we've done between Caitlyn and Irisa! I just love getting to see Sage on my dash and looking over her threads or reading headcanons. I know we haven't done much, but I'm always admiring from afar cause I love her muses <3

See now that’s the thing, I want people who impact Missi significantly to stick with her. Every thread important, every action has consiquences and can come back up later. Missi struggles a lot, but similar to felines she doesn’t let it show. Very few people see her vulnerable even less see her admitting the things that hurt her so much and the weight that is on her shoulders.

I try to make note of everything that’s happened to her, every traumatic event she pushes aside she might not remember, every little thing because it does impact us, like in real life it can hurt us a lot more than we realize when we’re allowed those small moments.

But also that goes for teh happy threads as well, every good deed is remembered, every scorn or betrayal she’ll remember. OFC I make sure that the mun is okay with this happening before hand and keep communication open between us just to be sure. And I’m always open to retconning things! I want people to have fun, I want to make a world here with a story where our characters will never be stagnate in their growth because they will always make mistakes and always have problems, but its in these struggles we see them become better. No one will be perfect but its the journey seeing how they fall and rise that is fascinating and i want to make that with the people who choose to stay here

TEN Q’S:

1. When are you usually online?: Eh... depends. Usually evening through the night, however i am a married woman and my attention span is usually pulled in multiple directions at once due to irl things and other obligations. I’ll usually be lurking at least every day during those timeframes, though, to some degree. so i can be gotten ahold of, though i may not be able to give my full attention due to other matters interfering.

2. What verses are you involved in outside of this page?: Depends on the muse - i have a few alternate timeline things going on with my wife over discord, regarding some of our rp characters, since we both like to play around with what-ifs. i have a ffxiv au for a couple of my characters as well, that i play on the game proper. That, and well.. tabletop games are a thing.

3. What is your biggest RP pet peeve?: pushing ships (or fandom elements) towards a mun, despite them repeatedly requesting otherwise. it just wears down on you, you know? don’t ask people to change their muses to fit your own ideal - they’re playing something they’ve put time and effort into portraying, the only way folks are going to have proper fun in this hobby is to actively engage them in what they are wanting to do with their muses. secondary biggest pet peeve: leaving the bulk of making the plot on one mun’s shoulders. if folks are clearly bouncing a ball at a wall looking for advice or ideas on where to go forward and what to do, since they’ve hit a roadblock on their character and want to do something, but aren’t sure what? help them. toss the ball back. tossing it into the void with no reciprocation only discourages them from continuing to try and reach out to their followers, to try and find something that they’d all find enjoyable to write.

4. Are you drawn to specific types of muses?: i am drawn to ghosts, spirit, spooks, and virtually any sort of moral quandary. if i can either be the monster lurking under the bed, or the person looking under their bed for the monster, that’s the sort of character i gravitate towards. granted not all of them are paranormal investigators or paranormal as a whole, but the ones that don’t often have some really interesting (to me at least) mental conundrum that they’re working through, for better or worse. i’m also very fond of chipper, upbeat characters that are adamantly ignoring the skeletons in their closet.

5. Are there recurring themes in your writing that people might not notice?: i have a habit of gearing my writing towards character development - whether that be my own muse, or my partners. i actively have difficulty writing ‘tea parties’, where nothing happens and it’s all fluff and fun-times. I mean, i can write those. but they quickly get bland without something underlying that’s semi-serious to supplement them, and keep the fluff balanced and sweet. I am fed by what-ifs, and i like to keep other people fed with them, too, and keep their minds churning about their characters and why they are the way they are, as well as throw them potential roadblocks that will allow them to explore what happens when they test their character’s boundaries, in a satisfying and meaningful way. hence why most of my muses tend to be instigator-type personalities, or people who will accidentally drag others down with them. my recurring theme is ‘things are going to happen, are you prepared? how so, and what will happen when teh bandaid is uncovered?’.

6. What are your favorite RP trends?: dash games and memes are fun! they help break the ice and let you see the person behind the screen a bit better than just witnessing their writing. it’s easy to loose that there’s an actual person behind the muse, and these sorts of things help re-solidify that. otherwise, i’m actually quite fond of fandom events, and other group scenarios that allow multiple muses to join together on a single topic or scenario. i like the collaboration it provides.

7. What is your process for starting a new story with someone?: depends on whether or not i know them ooc. if i don’t, chances are the first thing i’ll do is make a quick greeter, and let initial impressions do their job. Then after that, i’ll either let it organically take off with character dynamic from there, or alternatively, i’ll poke and see if there’s anything particular dynamics between the muses that they’re interested in. if there’s interest in doing something particular, i’ll start plotting with them from there, but otherwise, due to my necessity in needing hurdles to overcome in threads, i’ll let things naturally fall into place. it does mean that i don’t talk to folks as much as i should, though. i tend to only reach out when i have something to say, so more often than not i’ve got nothing to say until something comes up to talk about. anyways yeah. tl;dr: i’m a collaboration heavy writer, so while it’s easy to start a new thread on a dime, starting a new story happens less often due to lack of chance for communication. it’s something i know i need to work on. folks that i do know ooc are ones who are much the same in inclination, so they’re more than willing to play game with me regarding what-ifs and what-can-be-dones.

8. How do you feel about duplicates?: very fond of them! i highly enjoy seeing what other folks are doing with the same character concepts that i’ve picked up, and watching them grow into their own little corners - each person’s rendition is their own, after all. no two are alike. i also often enjoy doppelganger shenanigans, since it’s an interesting what-if.

9. How long have you been involved in roleplaying?: around 20 years at this point. i’ve been on tumblr since 2012, but i’ve been everywhere from forums to gaia otherwise, as well as skype and discord. it’s wound up being a very theraputic thing for me.

10. Is there a muse or verse you wish you could write in, but haven’t?: ha... there’s a lot of muses that catch my interest, and not enough attention span to spend on each and every one. the ones that come to mind right off the bat are Sayo Aisaka from Negima, and Murasa Minamitsu from Touhou. I just... like ghosts. I’m also have chronic OC Creation syndrome, so there’s an entire box of concepts that don’t see the light of day on tumblr, that i tend to throw at tabletop games or make into npc fodder more-often-than-not.

So generally speaking anime divergent versions of the chars are preferred.

CURRENT MAJOR VERSES

A multi verse, multi shipping blog, it might be tricky to navigate or get a hold of what’s happening. Here’s a bit of a summary of what verses I’m currently writing in at the moment. I’ll update this as I go along to make it easier for you to read.

Canon-Type

Generally speaking this will follow the rough timeline for canon-era threads. Think the timeline of the original show/books/eras etc. Things happening will might reference major events. Forth War, missions taken, encounters with shinobi that may or may not be from Kiri, it’s happening here.

Saving Kiri aka Mangetsu Lives

In which Kiya somehow, someway, by the gods or fate, ends up taking missions with Hōzuki Mangetsu (shout out to @eyecanfixthat​ and Tai’s amazing writing skills), and it snowballs into something more. From calling a certain Kijin no Sairai a pretty boy to discussions that might tip just to the right side of treason to a near-death experience and a kiss that someone used to stop an argument, it’s amazing how one little thing can make waves.

Roomies? Roomies! (And Something More!), the modern au

Once again, Tai and I created an AU in which Kiya and Tai’s Shisui & Mangetsu end up living in a house together. Tiny dancer girl meets workaholic engineer and ornithology student for a slice-of-life series of hysterical proportions (also known as “Shisui, what the fuck are you wearing?” “... it’s laundry day...�� or “How come you have fifty plus blankets?” “The better question is why don’t I have more?” or “Mangetsu made stew.” “It’s very meaty.”)

From Kiri To Konoha

Kiya’s uncle flees Kiri towards the end of the Third War, taking a tiny Kiya with him. He dies in teh process, taking out the shinobi that would’ve killed them both, leaving a little Kiya to make her way in the world alone. Somehow, someway, she stumbles into the Fire Country boarders and is taken to Konoha, ending up as an academy student, then shinobi of the Hidden Leaf. People still get stabbed though. It’s a habit. Also known as “Kiya, no biting.” “Kiya, yes biting.”

Mermay, Mermay, time to be a merman! All the Bonely family are now Merpeople for a day! (Or however long the mun decides!)

There was a collective, unified “What?” From each of the Bonachards before sound of bodies flopped to the ground. Unfortunately, those places are in vastly different spaces. For Bonely, it was in the heirs training cavern where what looked like five trollish Guppies joined him. For Salem, it was in his store stall, much to the surprise and alarm of both him and his patrons. For Reggie, it was in his home just after school, while Lenar had his in the showers of Arcadia Oaks High.

All Bonachards big and small now take part in the revelries of MerMay—whether they want to or not~

Salem

Salem’s chin hit the counter top hard, causing him to roll and curl, clutching his chin. The pain seemed to radiate up through his head and down his nerves like lightning through a storm. He grit his teeth and screwed his eyes shut. It shouldn’t hurt so bad - it was just his chin! But it did, and it made his head feel like it was going to split in two.

“You alright there, Bluey?” Bagdwella asked charmingly, one of the disk containers of stone-care polish in her hands. Only hearing a grunt in response, the lady troll stepped around the counter to see if her new favorite skin-care provider was alright. One look told her all she needed to know.

“AAAAAAAAAA!” She shrieked, dropping the canister and dashing out of the office. “HELP! SOMEONE COME QUICK! THE GRAY FACES ARE AT IT AGAIN!”

The next thing Salem knew was that he was being grabbed by huge arms and hauled out of his shop. The scraping of stone against his belly chafed and for a moment he was going to say so when he realized, his belly shouldn’t be on the ground. He was being hoisted up by his shoulders, which means that should be where his knees are. But then why did it feel like someone was running sandpaper on his belly???

“Ugh, what’re yeh guys doin?” he asked, and looked down at himself. Sal’s eyes went wide as what greeted him was not his legs covered by a leather shorts, but a long, turquoise and white fish tail dragging where his legs should be. Upon seeing it, Salem let out a sound that might’ve been a mix between a squeal and a shriek.

“AAAAAAAA! WHERE’D MY LEGS GO!? WHAT’S HAPPENED TEH ME!?!?!? AAAAAHHHH!!!!”

Thus came the graceful response of Trollmarkets new resident mer-troll apothecary.

Bonely & the Heirs

With Gunmar indisposed in a giant lake, Bonely had taken off work from the brewery and his shop to put his full attention to the Heirs. He was already nervous about them being near the water. But with them being less than a pinprick compared to Gunmar’s current size? He was a bit more nervous than usual. They didn’t need any accidents after all.

“A’right Velda, whada yeh do when someone does a spear charge at yeh?” he asked, watching her spar with Braxas.

“Deflect and catch it!” Venga called, and her thought with gleeful action. Braxas yelped as he was quickly disarmed, and rolled away with his shield up towards his sister.

Bonely grinned as the two circled each other. “Good! Now whada yeh do?”

Venga grinned and opened her mouth, “Well first—” but her little plan was stopped short by a voice that rang through whelps’ training pit. All of heirs and their father perked their heads and ears up, trying to discern where the sing song voice was coming from.

Bonely furrowed his brow. “What in the—?” he asked, but was also interrupted when his legs turned to jello and he fell sideways into a weapon wrack. The crash of weapons was quickly over come by the panicked squeals and yelps of his five kids who flopped around like rainbow guppies on the shore. Dizzy and feeling his bones rattle and buzz with the Greylim’s magic, Bonely lifted his head.

“GUARDS!” he bellowed, steadying himself with his claws. “GUARDS, BRING ME A TROUGH! THE LARGEST TROUGH WE HAVE! ‘N’ BUCKETS - LOTS A’ BUCKETS TEH FILL IT WITH WATER! NOW!”

There was no mistaking the urgency of the Ganchief’s order, and it was quickly obeyed. The sounds of metal boots pounding down toward the Horde pens and stables rang through the crucible while Bonely pushed himself forward to gather up his five flopping youngin’s.

“Now, now, don’t panic,” he ordered, holding the guppy trolls close. “It’s okay, don’t panic. Slow breaths. C’mon, breathe with me in, one, two, three. Out, one, two, three.” In this way he worked on calming the whelps, pausing to lick them down in hopes of keeping them moist enough until the thralls came back with that water trough.

Reggie

Reggie let out an “Oof!” as he hit the carpeted floor. He’d just gotten up to get himself a snack between tv show commercials when the weird, wiggly voice came from somewhere near the ceiling.

“What’s Mermay?” He’d been about to ask, when suddenly his legs buckled and he fell forward flat on his face. It took a few minutes before the dizziness from falling went away and Reggie was able to get his bearings again. Shaking his head, he pushed himself up and rubbed his now very sore nose.

“Owwwww...” he mumbled and tried to kneel up when found he couldn’t. It felt like his legs were tied together, like for a potato sack race. But he didn’t remember doing that, or getting tangled in any blankets. What was going on?

Furrowing his brow, Reggie rolled onto his side to see what was happening and gasped when he saw a stout cobalt blue fish tail sparkling where his legs had been. Quickly, he pushed himself into a sitting position and bent over to feel his new tail. Yep, he had scales and the side fins were real too! And whenever he tried to wiggle or spread his toes, the big tail fin flexed open and closed when he clenched his toes!

“Whoaaaaaa, cooooool!” Reggie yelled and let out a yelping gasp when his clothes caught on something on his chest. Yelping quietly as he moved his arms, the young boy lifted his shirt and gawked in amazement. He had scales on his chest and tummy too! And gills! Big, silvery gills with blue tints that all extended like an angry beta fish whenever he breathed in. But there was something wrong. The silvery gills seemed to be getting dry and dry gills meant dry fish and fish needed to water to be wet all the time!

“Uh oh,” Reggie murmured with alarm. “Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh!” He could feel it now. The dizzy that came from not breathing right. It was starting to feel like he couldn’t breath even though he was breathing just fine. But weird voice said “mermay”. So maybe it was talking about mermaids? And mermaids needed water, like farliens!

So with all the grace a 11 year old could have, the youngest Bonachard scooted his way walrus style to the bathroom, holding his breath in hopes that that might keep him from getting dizzier. With a great deal of effort, Reggie made it to the bathroom tub and turned on the water. Running it over his hand to check the temperature, the boy took off his shirt, plugged the tub, and hoisted himself into the bath.

Hopefully his big brother wouldn’t wig out too much. After all, their Pops had gone through worse, so they could handle this, right?

Lenar

Down in the shower room of Arcadia Oaks High, Lenar rubbed his now throbbing head. He’d gone to the showers to wash up from swim team - chlorine did horrors on a guys hair after all. But while he was rinsing off, some idiot had decided to sing in the showers and he wondered if they know singing in the shower was an at home thing? As they sang, he started to feel weird, dizzy and tingly, and now throbbing from his falling in the shower.

Lenar let out a groan and pushed himself off the slick tile floor. “What the heck?” he muttered, wondering why his legs gave out when they were just fine a—. His brain stopped as he sat up, a glistening blue fish tail flexing lazily where his legs should be. Lenar’s eyes went wide as he tried to wiggle his toes. Instead of toes, he watched as the tailfin flexed instead. His mouth dropped open in preparation for a teenage scream, but before he could make a noise, something dropped in the locker room and he slapped a hand to his mouth to keep quiet.

“You alright in there Bonachard?” Coach Lawrence barked as he approached the shower room.

Lenar panicked and looked from one side of the shower room to the other before pulling himself back behind his shower curtain.

“Uh, uh, Yeah! Yeah, just—slipped is all!” Lenar called, pressing his back to the shower stall wall. “Almost lost my towel. Uh, just gotta finish up and I’ll be right out coach!”

“Well hurry up! Miss Janneth doesn’t like late students!” the coach replied and returned to his class in the gym.

Lenar let out a relieved sigh and ran a hand through his hair as he looked down at his new host of problems. “Yeah,” he sighed, his tail fin flicking against the shower wall. Not like he had anything else to worry about other than a boring math class. Lenar huffed and ran a hand over his face. “Okay. Well, looks like I’m gonna be gettin’ detention fer playin’ hooky again. I wonder if they’ll be take off a few days on account a’ me bein half fish?”
