caspar meets jonathans family and they all immediately decide that he is a member of their family now and truly five years later when they all get back together im not sure a single one of them realised he was ever gone. once ur in ur in.

really just having a lot of thoughts about sebastian teaching caspar to drive in his ferrari tbh. like how much do u have to love someone to risk THAT

i know this story ends in heartbreak but RIGHT NOW they are happy and full of pasta and about to have very good sex for the first time and personally i am thrilled for them.

the thing about aawiab is for the past several years i have only known this story from caspar's point of view. but aawiab is told from sebastian's point of view. and it is changing EVERYTHING. it's a whole new fucking perspective and i feel like i'm getting to know sebastian more and more and well. you thought this story was heartbreaking from caspar's perspective? wait until you hear it from sebastian's perspective.

i'm really enjoying taking the trope of the rich controlling dom and flipping it upside down until we have the most in love, pathetic, out of his mind little man that has ever existed and making him cry a lot. he needs to control everything because he's autistic and his childhood was marked by continuous lost and it's the only way he can cope with how tumultuous the world is. he has so much love to give and he loves so intensely. so so intensely it eats him up from the inside out.

caspar does the single worst thing anybody could do to seb. and still seb loves him. there's so much we don't see in this book because it's just the prequel and so much we're gonna explore in the next book about what happens between the prequel and the sequel (can it be a prequel and a sequel without something in the middle??) and thinking about it all just destroys me every single time.

i woke up and now i want to make sebastian a trans man and i just think it would be SO funny for the following reasons:

there is an ongoing joke about how big his dick is. the man is loaded. now imagine if that was just his choice of strap-on, and everybody around him just really committed to the bit. sebastian has a 12 inch dick. it's unreasonably massive. strap on? what's a strap on?

in the future, caspar has two boyfriends: sebastian and luca. luca is trans. luca is very insecure about whether he's Good Enough compared with sebastian and a lot of that insecurity is rooted in his internalised transphobia. his face when he realises that sebastian is also trans and this whole fantasy he had built up in his head about the inherrant manliness of caspar's perfect cis boyfriend is all completely wrong would be priceless. also very good for his character arc, now that i think about it.

at some point in the book, sebastian's dick starts vibrating. this is not explained.

in conclusion, sebastian is trans now, thanks for coming to my ted talk.
