Malleus: I wonder who was chosen as my presenter this year. I do hope they haven't run off in fear of me… Hm?

???: Breathe in, breathe out… Okay, let's go. EXCUSE ME!

Ace: It's Ace Trappola, your chosen presenter. Malleus-senpai, happy birthday!

Malleus: Ah, it's you. My gratitude for your well wishes. I am looking forward to this today.

Ace: Same here, please go easy on me. I'm still just a first year, so it'd be great if you could look past a mistake here and there.

Malleus: I will see what I can do.

Ace: You'll see what you can do, huh… Eh, I guess that makes me feel a bit better. Mmkay, I'll get started with the first question.

Ace: "If you could use flight magic to go anywhere, where would you like to go?”

Ace: Also, apparently you don't gotta consider limits to your magical power. Although, I don't think that's really relevant to you, Malleus-senpai.

Malleus: That is true. I have the ability to fly wherever I wish to in this world.

Malleus: After all, if I were to visit your familial home without an invitation, that would be troublesome, would it not?

Ace: Aaah, yeah… I get it. You're saying it's different from when my neighborhood friends came over wanting to hang out, huh.

Ace: I also already figured out one more thing from what you said just now. You already have a place in mind, don't you?

Ace: If we don't gotta worry about magical limits, then we can just ignore any of the more practical choices, right?

Malleus: I see. There may be some truth to what you say, Trappola.

Malleus: Were I allowed to travel anywhere at my own discretion… There is this one castle that comes to mind that I have been wishing to visit for a while.

Ace: A castle!! Like, you mean somewhere one of your prince or princess friends live?

Malleus: No, it has been quite some time since anyone has lived there.

Ace: Huh… So, it's a tourist spot? What kind of castle would make you want to visit so much?

Malleus: If it piques your interest, you should glance through your magical history textbook. There are paintings depicting the height of prosperity for the country in question.

Ace: PAINTINGS!? NOT PICTURES!?

Malleus: That is right. By the time humans had developed photographic technology, that country had already fallen into ruin.

Malleus: It was once considered a splendid and gorgeous castle… However, it must be fairly deteriorated now due to rain and wind.

Malleus: I am quite curious just how much of its former glory remains, of when they would hold ceremonies and balls for almost every conceivable occasion...

Malleus: I thought I would like to see with my own eyes just how much the castle has evolved through the ages, and walk the grounds myself.

Ace: Uhhh, so basically, what you're saying is… You like real old buildings?

Malleus: Simply being old is not the only consideration.

Malleus: It must a place where one can sense the presence and daily lives of those who once dwelt here.

Malleus: I quite prefer the desolate atmosphere of ruins such as that.

Hi!! I loved your fight club art and I actually stumbled upon your Stay High animatic a few days ago (small internet haha!) and it's like?? So incredibly beautiful and well edited and well crafted AAAH. If you're okay with sharing I'm so curious how you animated specific portions such as when Stan's "falling back down" -- it's so smooth and yet it doesn't seem like a generic pre-built transition due to how the words kinda... slam onto the screen? If that makes sense haha. I'm also in love with how the entire animatic feels very hazy and buzzy. Also ALSO in love with all your transitions -- especially the paint swishes and glitches! Anyway your art is gorgeous bye~

Hey!! Thank you for the ask it fr just made my day (...I always feel so facetious saying that but it's true! 😮‍💨)

About the editing - First of all, that CapCut project is a whole mess (like the amount of effects and animations I stacked on top of each other is scandalous 💀 but I'm glad it worked out)

How I made that particular part:

-> Exported stan's silhouette & each word as its own transparent png so that I could apply separate animations to each component

-> Put a black background image in CapCut and imported the pngs as overlays on top of it

-> Applied the "slide down" animation to the silhouette & made it a couple seconds longer than default so it wouldn't be so fast

-> Applied the "zoom 1" animation to each word and moved them apart on the timeline to sync them to the song

hmmmm lets see...

1 - lollll ErrorInk it's actually so awful i wish i was kidding when i say i think about them kissing and its like a stress relieving calming activity for me

2 - designing and symbolism!! i love making up lil tidbits to justify why something is the way it is designwise even if i tell no one!! its sososo nice. like did u know that i draw Error & Ink as structural opposites in terms of shapes and weight to emphasis the dualities i see in them? did u??? no! cus i dont talk abt it but i think abt it and it makes me craaaazy

3 - that ambience when i go outside for a walk and i stand on that wooden bridge and hear the rush of the river underneath me and birdsong and the rustle of leaves and the sun is out and i have to squint a little to see but its shining through the trees and theres a few patches of flowers sprouting about and its so delicate and pretty and i think maybe for just a little bit that everything is going to be okay.

or getting over some of my anxiety! i still get anxious and nervous and jittery but i just make myself power through it bcus the worst thing that can happen is my pride getting wounded most of the time

aaagh c'mon man!! i have 2 of those!!! i like purple bcus of its deep jewel tones that just rlly vibe with me and make me feel nice and masc and confident whenever i wear them ( purple & navy tones my beloved ) and i like green bcus of its variety and presence in nature!!! like woah!! one time i teared up bcus i saw a tree that was just this most gorgeous shade of green...

also green is on the aro flag (which i am) and purple is on the ace flag (which i am) so nice perk!!!

aaah for gl recommendations, I really love Nevermore on webtoon! the art is gorgeous and the worldbuilding is so cool. the characters are all innteresting and compelling, and though the gl romance is central to the plot, the plot is a lot more complex than just that. aaah its so good and addictive.

there's also Not So Shoujo Love Story, which, while more focused on the romance than Nevermore, does a really good job of developing its characters amd not taking itself too seriously. its a really good balance of silliness and genuine character development and introspection. its really fun, i really like it!

i also really like PaperTeeth! the artstyle is so crunchy, and i adore the character design. its currently on hiatus because its going to be an webtoon original, but the episodes out thus far are like. so worth the read.

you slowly opened your eyes, your expression showing how grumpy you were because of your boyfriend not letting you sleep a bit more, but your expression and mood quickly changed when you saw him holding a birthday cake with a gentle smile on his face, “happy birthday, honey”

to be honest, a lot of people (but you) would find the cake far away from being the best looking cake ever, but you didnt mind. actually, you were pretty sure that it was the most beautiful cake you’ve ever seen, but that was your love for him speaking louder.

“cheol..” you pouted, “thank you, this is so cute!”

you hugged him, making him chuckle and wrapping his free arm around your waist, “its not as beautiful as i thought it would be, but i made it with all my love”

you chuckled and opened your mouth, letting him feed you. you bit the cake and your eyes widened when you felt the taste of it, “cheol, this is amazing!”

he smirked, proudly of his baking skills, “i know, right? im so good at it”

you nodded with a smile on your face, “honestly it doesn’t even look like youre the one who baked… it makes me wonder how is the kitchen looking like right now” you smiled mischievously when you saw seungcheol’s smirk dropping.

“yn, dont” seungcheol started to come closer to you, placing the cake on the bedside table. unfortunately, his careful attempt to take you in his arms and prevent you from going to kitchen was useless cause you ran out of bed laughing and ran towards the kitchen .

“yn! cmon!” he ran after you, but stopped when he saw your shocking face as you looked at the mess he made in the kitchen, “holy shit..”

“ill clean up later! i-“ he groaned and rubbed his forehead, “cant you just focus on the fact that i surprised you with a birthday cake?”

you chuckled and walked closer to him, wrapping your arms around his neck, which made him instantly place his arms around your waist, “what a messy surprise you gave me, huh? but thank you, love. i loved it”

he caressed your waist gently with his thumb and smiled, “the kitchen might be messy, but later i’ll look like i never even baked a cake here. i swear”
