Ajax who blushes deeply when you tell him about how Foul Legacy rolls over in the sun, stretching out on the grass and closing his eye with a blissful purr- it's the perfect position for you to rub his tummy, and his purrs only increase in volume tenfold when you do. you sing praises about how Legacy would nuzzle against your palm, giving your hand tiny licks and nudges, and Ajax's cheeks only darken, turning the color of late sunset. he lets out an undignified squawk when your finger reaches out and pokes his freckles, tapping each of them in a constant, familiar pattern, and the Eleventh Harbinger stubbornly buries his face in your shoulder to hide his bright flush. you merely give him a mischievous grin and ruffle his soft ginger hair, already coming up with schemes to make Foul Legacy even more adorable

to say that you encourage Legacy's cat-like behavior would be an understatement- it helps that you love it either way, always laughing in delight whenever he snuggles up to you or flops over on the floor with an exhausted huff. you're on a walk together one day when a butterfly flits past, first landing on your finger before fluttering over and perching on a fascinated Legacy's horn, who lets out tiny chitters and coos of joy as to not scare the insect off. you smile and raise your kamera, snapping a quick photo, the colorful butterfly contrasting beautifully against your Abyssal monster's crimson mask before it eventually flies away and Legacy lets out his purrs at full volume, sparkling wings fluttering and flitting with uncontrolled delight. he bounds over and nuzzles against you, looking over your shoulder at the photo with a cheerful trill- you simply must get it developed and put it in your album!

Ajax, on the other hand, turns completely red when he sees that picture. you can almost see his ears glowing in embarrassment as he lets out a groan and buries his face into his hands, only stopping when you wrap your arms around his waist and give him a tight, firm squeeze

Things do get better.

Life can be cruel and unforgiving, like a writer killing off the most beloved characters and making everyone suffer through a lot. Yet every bad moment eventually shall pass.

We don't stop reading a book, just because the writer made things seem grim for a bit. We shouldn't stop living just because we're afraid it'll get worse.

Things can go badly, sure, but they can also turn out for the better. You can also survive.

Even giving up for a day, a month, a year, does not mean your life is not worth living.

It doesn't mean you're gonna be stuck here forever. It just means that for now, maybe for a long time now, things have been rough.

And you need a break, and a hug.

And someone to tell you, that you are very much loved, even if Life (as the most bitter and inspired writer) has decided to take it out on you.

You are loved, you're not weird, and you deserve good, beautiful, lovely things.

When i was younger i often mashed together leaves to try and make “paint” so imagine FL seeing reader mashing together a bunch of plants to make natural paints and he copies them, making his own paint and painting alongside reader but his claws are too big to hold a regular paint brush so has to dip his claws into the paint to draw

oh oh OH listen what if what IF you and Foul Legacy get to travel around Teyvat in search of materials to make paint :D

you're an artist, yes, but the paints you makes are also in high demand due to the unique and vivid colors they produce, so whenever you're not working on a new piece you're usually making more paints, a very curious Abyss monster peeking over your shoulder. if the paints you're making are made of something edible like berries he absolutely demands a taste, but otherwise just silently observes what you're doing before wandering off. after a few minutes your ears pick up the sound of something crunching- Legacy's making his own paint!! he's trying to use sunsettias, he likes their sunset orange color, and you stand and bring your own supplies to sit beside him, fighting back a smile as you watch him dip his claws in the mixture and gingerly dot some of the color onto your skin in lieu of a canvas

it's not long before you're bringing him along on your trips to other nations for new materials, Legacy eager to explore and adventure and go anywhere, as long as it was with you. it's so wonderful to watch him rush off ahead, letting out delighted chirps and trills when he finds something new, something fascinating- his favorite thing, apart from making paints with you, is bringing you new supplies; seeing you gasp in awe and admire the hue and texture of whatever item he has cradled in his talons- crystals, valberries, nilotpala lotuses, sakura blossoms- all collected so you can make the loveliest paint for your work and for others. when asked how you manage to create such wonderful colors and pigments, you merely tilt your head and smile- "I happen to have the best assistant in Teyvat"

*Cracks knuckles* Okay so to preface this, I love all of the Mighty Nein. Absolutely love all of them, it is my comfort D&D Campaign along with other D&D campaigns like Misfits & Magic or Escape from the Bloodkeep like it is the first D&D campaign I finished and it makes me so emotional to think about them. I almost have all their origin comics (I need Caduceus' to arrive in the mail (HE'S ON HIS WAY I GOT THE EMIAL NOW) and then I'm set unless we get an Essek one.)

But like in Terms of my favorites? I am a Strong Caleb Widogast, Essek Thelyss, Jester Lavorre, and Caduceus Clay enjoyer.

My love for Caleb started because he had a cat man. I love cats, and so of course I was immediately intrigued AND THEN WE GET TO HIS ANGST AND OOOOO- it's also the way his character alignment changes throughout the campaign and how he grows and heals and that concept is what I really love from the Mighty Nein. The way they all grow and become better as the story goes on, especially after Molly like :(

That being said Essek I love because this man committed War Crimes but then is revealed to have no friends and that his favorite food is soup LIKE he's such a good character to show what effect the mighty nein has on people that come into their mists because he was supposed to be an evil NPC, his alignment was/is evil, but the mighty nein (especially Jester) took one look at him and went "you're our friend now!" Like the nein love Essek and are really showing that the power of friendship can in fact be good for you!! Plus his and Caleb's Dynamic is so fun please I love him.

Jester is because she's quite literally me. If I had to pick two people that I probably am out of the Mighty Nein due to just what people have said and my own analysis, Her and Caleb are me coded. She's an Artist! (which I do have Critical role art on here you would just have to find it on here somewhere I haven't drawn the nein in a hot minute-), she's silly, she loves her friends, she's lonely, she's literally me! PLUS THE FACT SHE DOESN'T LIKE HEALING AS A CLERIC IS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER- but when she does heal she is godly at it!! PLUS HER AND ARTY'S WHOLE DEAL, THE WHOLE BELIEVING IN HIM ENOUGH AND HELPING HIM GAIN ENOUGH SUPPORTERS TO BE ELEVATED INTO A FALSE GODHOOD STATUS LIKE IT'S SOOOOOOO- I know it's because Laura wanted to play a Warlock and Travis yoinked that so she didn't BUT OH IT WAS SO FUN TO SEE THAT UNFOLD-

and then Caduceus is because I love Clerics so much. I love playing Clerics, I love watching people play Clerics, just Clerics are high tier for me. (Then again I just love spell casters in general,,, as you can see from this list) but there is something about this Firbolg who just loves his family and was raised in a graveyard and has dead people tea on hand and is just the silliest. He may not be smart but he is wise and his and Fjord's bond while Fjord was trying to find a new patron and Caduceus was like "I think Melora will like you :3" LIKE god their friendship is so fun. PLUS HE'S CANONICALLY AROACE AND LIKE YOU LOVE TO SEE IT!! just god I love the Mighty Nein so much they are everything to me!!
