What I noticed first while sketching is ofc the super gorgeous cute style. Though not long into the sketching phase noticed her lines are quite sharp and pronouced, for most of her works she keeps her sketch lines making it seem more mmm hazy is the right word? Or effortless, but with every sharp line a rounded(?) line contrasts it, giving it that signature fluffiness. I absolutely adore how well this all mixes together, i dunno just sonethin bout her lines bro

I love the expression, really gives off absolutely love sick, I didn't capture the eyes quite well (I blame my chonk pen because all good artists blames their materials/j) Macaque looks more scared than breath taken and I put the eyes too far apart. I basically deprived the eyes of its soul lmao note for next time I do a study.

Ok this part has not much to do with the ref pic but her art in general and that includes her writing. I adore the cute HCs and little stories/AUs she would post, just so much creativity and its always so comforting to read as theyre so wholesome and cute. Im so sure one of my first posts here were a drawing of one of her HCs LIKE SRSLY SO CREATIVE. I was also surprised as I saw in some artworks she's able to draw structures and environments that draws your into the scene, its fits the universe so well, just adding to that little wonderment of awe. Shes amazing at coloring too, real soft, but still makes the characters pop, i'd say more but my brain is short-circuiting from all this analyzing. Shes just all round incredibly talented and creative honestly. Her style is exactly what i wanted to have as a kid and what im striving to have now. So cuteee

So far 11/10 art style, love the chibiness, cuteness, expressions, the pure and pastel feel and colors, and details. Just love her in general<3 check out her page lol

Ok so immediately off the bat I knew I was gonna have some trouble here since I've been drawing chibis from the very start.

Just from observing her art I alr saw it has a lot of movement in em, lots of dynamic poses, and LOTS of embraces, really just pouring with that fluff/angst energy. At first I tried the anime body guidelines and boom instant error. Though not all that noticable the heads have sum chonk in em, especially the cheeks, giving that cute factor despite not being a chibi style. Im all for it. The lines are very soft, not a lot of sharp edges and if there are theyre placed in a very subtle way. The expressions are wonderful: from a subtle hopeless smile from an overwhelming roar of grief and anger, she's mastered the the art of slight details that give these effects their magic. Her lines are sketchy but not messy (does that make sense) they clump together neatly, giving the illustration clarity.

AND OMG HAVE YOU SEEN HER ANIMATICS? THE MOVEMENT, THE PACING, THE SMOOTHNESS, THE INTERACTIONS, THE EMOTIONS, THE EVERYTHING. THEYRE SO AAAA ITS LIKE A PROFESSIONAL STORYBOARD FOR A TV SHOW.

The way she uses color too— just o h m y g o d .

Her colors are so bright and clear, so nicely blended together, so bold, but not in the way that burns your eyes, she keeps them neutral in a way, that envokes that sense of harmony; like a sunset. (I legit have one of her colored artworks as my wallpaper) I have lots more to observe, but so far this is all I have to say. The skill of overflowing

Anways, back to the task at hand. I made the heads bigger than i shoulda , cause well chibi artist ehe. Again, I blame my chonk pencil. I didn't get the embrace quite right, but Ion think I could level with the queen of LITERALLY DRAWING TEARJERKING HUGS LIKE? I tried with the hands, I swear. I knew they were a little small but only now am I realizing its that way cause I made the heads too big. I wanna try drawing more in her style as its really just full of movement and flowiness, I wanna try mastering the way she draws perspectives too. I noticed for perspective shots theres this grid for the sky and ground (which is genius) will try that out when I actually pick up digital art again.

Oh man, all of the morning kids absolutely adore you, you're like a mother to them! Plus whenever you're with their uncle Kaz, they see how much he smiles whenever you're around. They love the idea of Kiryu having someone as wonderful and caring as you in his life!

Plus they even have a mother figure, the girls would have someone older to talk to like crushes and even advice, while Kiryu is happy that you're also there for the boys, you show them and teach them to have positive masculinity and even give advice of how to woo a girl.

All the kids are also protective of you! Whenever you go at least one of them has to go with you, maybe even three so if there is any douchebag that tries to flirt with you then they have to be prepared to be violated via verbal abuse (kids are brutally honest ya know…)

Haruka, yes, THE BIGGEST HYPE WOMAN EVER!! She and the other kids would make you guys a small picnic near the beach, where there are candle lights and even cheesy music, and even one of the boys acted like a fancy waitress, it was truly touching and made you so flattered, while Kiryu who never heard such plan was trying his best not to cover himself into a ball for how embarrassed he was, but he ain't gonna lie, he was happy that you agreed to the little date they made.

Like you said mootie, Haruka would pack Kiryu's cooking so you can taste how delicious it is! She would even ask you for your favorite food, so the next day Haruka will ask Kiryu to make some so she can give it to you! Whenever you eat she stares at you like she's expecting something, like a praise that she can tell about uncle Kaz about!!!

Thomesa (Thomas x Teresa): 147284892/10 i will fight you on this. they were literally so precious and tragic. it was like the universe had decided their destiny, but at the end of the day thomas never stopped loving her and neither did she stop loving him. she betrayed everyone for the greater good but redeemed herself to save HIM. i know she made some extremely questionable choices but goddamn theyre always slept upon. thomesa my beloved, they hated you but i never will 😭💔

Newtmas (Newt x Thomas): 3/10 (i can feel the hate radiating towards me) listen. im completely fine with people going batshit crazy over them. but personally? no. seriously, i never understood the overhype and appeal for newtmas. i can completely understand if newt was in love with thomas all this time, but the idea of them being together? nah. i just never saw any sort of romantic tension between them. like, im not being a full-on hater, but i saw them like platonic soulmates. their friendship is literally to die for (ahem ahem newt ahem 💀) and i wish I had a loyal friend like newt. but romantically? nah.

Trenda (Thomas x Brenda): 5/10 tbh they were pretty mid. i mean i can totally see them ending up together post the death cure, but their chemistry felt too forced at times. their friendship dynamic tho? TOP. TIER.

Thominho (Thomas x Minho): 10/10 the close friendship. the trust they have in each other. the things theyve lived thru together. the lengths thomas went to save minho. if thomas was bisexual hed definitely go for minho. CHEFS KISS AAAA

Nalby (Newt x Alby): 7/10 now this is a newt ship that had sm wasted potential. the fact that alby was the first person ever who newt befriended and trusted. the fact that alby was always stern to everyone BUT newt. the fact that they had one of the strongest mutual trust in the glade. the fact that newt was distraught and ready to throw hands with the grievers after they killed alby in the books. they just didn't have enough time. their dynamic i can't 😭

Newtenda (Newt x Brenda): 8/10 NOW LOOK I KNOW NEWT IS GAY AND I RESPECT THAT but i never knew that while watching the movies and reading the books. like seriously, i thought he was straight for the longest time, and the idea of newt ending up with brenda is weirdly wholesome to me. they share similar experiences of going thru hell while being infected and idk i just enjoy this ship very much. if newt wasn't gay, he shouldve definitely ended up with brenda lmao

Thomally (Thomas x Gally): 2/10 nope. too much toxicity, if im being honest. i mean, they did end up working together and becoming somewhat friends at the end, but idts thomas would ever be able to forgive gally for killing chuck. chuck was basically thomas' baby brother. im sure thomas, despite having gotten over chuckie's death, still finds it extremely unfair how gally got saved but chuck didn't.

still on my reread of early twsb and... the inn mini arc is so good/important... i didnt realize how much when i first read... but like... (ch 46 thoughts IM PLAGUED BY THE #YESSAYS AGAIN)

the MC trio's personalities are all SO diff and up till now theyve had a lot of friction and only rly interacted together bc they were kind of forced to... But despite their stark diffs one of the main thing that unites them is they all have the same strong moral compass... like their morals r in alignment. They all can't stand seeing injustice... and their diff personalities give them diff approaches to solving the (same) problem; diff strengths filling in what the other lacks... but they have the same goal/their hearts r in the same place... I rly think this is the strongest thing that binds them together��� theyre all good kids...

This inn mini arc is the first time the MC trio r all united in thought and working together completely of their own volition (while they showed teamwork before, it was still in situations where they were basically forced to be together, e.g. training lessons or punishment)

But here they witness the same event and they all feel the same rage at the injustice and put aside their differences to make a plan...

yeseo's had a lot of misunderstandings/misreadings of cedric's behavior and saw him p unfavorably up to this point but thats slowly starting to change... im just gonna drop some liveblogs here skfjd

(+ u wouldnt think much of it but the fact that he observes they all make the same expression "at the same time" means he's glancing at each of their faces...)

the fact that hes constantly checking cedric's reactions + trying to read what he's thinking/feeling in the moment... yeseo's empathy is 1 of his strongest traits imo and this an example of how he extends this to everyone (including the guy who he has thought of as a huge jerk all this time + is trying to avoid)

(and this is something I RLY rly love about yeseo... even w ppl he tries not to get close to/doesnt particularly like he still cant help but empathize with them? like even way before this when he concludes cedric must be entering the tournament to help his "son" who is in pain... and reasons that he must feel angry seeing chris freely mooch off yeseo's ether bc his "son" suffers from ether depletion... and when the 3 are assigned to clean the portal as punishment, and he's waiting outside w ced... notes that "he looks serious even from the side" and blurts without thinking "um... it will be okay, your royal highness." "...i am talking about Sadie." all these are examples of him extending empathy to cedric/thinking of him sympathetically (even tho he has the wrong idea)... He doesn't have to, but he does anyway, because that's the kind of person he naturally is... I really do think his strong empathy is 1 of his most prominent chara traits. 🥹❤️‍🔥)

Ya know, it's cute to imagine Sprout taking Garia out for a lil walk and along the way, the other toons keep on accidentally interrupting it somehow and Sprout is getting so frustrated, only for Garia to hug him and drag him around excitedly looking at all the plants and bugs. Then they go back inside and try to bake something together, it quickly dissolves into silliness and a small food fight between them, they have to clean up the kitchen and themselves from the batter on them now but they can't stop giggling and laughing about it together. I think it’s about time I start posting my thoughts/theories about ROTPL… so here goes

SPOILERS 🚨 Part One

Starting with this photo and the whole Nancy/Potato relationship..

My theory is that this is right after Nancy finds out that her parents were the ones to dedicate that song to her on Halloween and NOT potato like she currently thinks

So of course she feels defeated because now she thinks Potato was telling the truth and he isn’t keen on her and she’s thinking damn I was wrong. no boy likes me for who I am

BUT little does she know that Potato’s falling madly in love as we speak

The corsage that Nancy has on her wrist has to have been given to her by Potato right??? It doesn’t match her dress so I’m assuming it was his choice 😭 but AAAA THEYRE SO CUTE ALREADY

It makes me sad that Cynthia isn’t wearing a suit too but there are a couple things I have to say about that-

1. Even though we all know she probably would’ve wanted to- wearing a suit would’ve caused a lot of trouble for her and even though that makes me sad to think about, it IS the 50s… so better safe than sorry

2. The dress is not a reflection of her character’s journey because clearly she’s having trouble figuring out her identity, plus there’s that whole does Cynthia become a T-Bird and a Pink Lady debate. But at least she looks like she’s enjoying herself!! That’s the least we could ask for

OK BACK TO WALLY

The fact that he’s at the Frosty Palace with Hazel when Buddy and the others are nowhere to be seen makes me think his song is about what Hazel said in one of the earlier episodes about whether he actually likes the dance/his friends even tho he’s known them forever

Plus he’s just watched her act her heart out as Juliet so he’s pretty much head over heels

We’ve been getting a lot of character development songs, esecially with Buddy in episode 7, and the fact that Wally’s singing in the rain? You can’t get much more angsty than that 😭

Nope! Ffxiv has consumed my entire brain and given me such strong brainworms that I do tend to have a ship for most of my ocs in the game, but shipping isnt necessary for me to get the most out of my fandom experience!

Marcille and Falin from Dungeon Meshi has got to be THE ship (other than my ocs in ffxiv lol) that makes me want and need to write about them and their dynamic!

Sadu and Cirina from ffxiv are my favorite of the in game npc’s ship, theyre perfect for each other ans just so so cute!

And finally I just have to sneak in an oc one, Zee and Erenville and Sadu have such a fun dynamic to write and think about, in my headcanon Sadu and Cirina are together but in an open relationship and Sadu will visit Zee when she can and be a third for Zee and Erenville who are primary partners of eachother~
