He laughs, desperately trying to salvage the conversation. “I know a monster like me isn't really good for much else, hah. I guess you could always be a snack—you know, uh, not like either of us have anything else going on, right?”

It's a joke, not meant to be anything more than a pathetic attempt to lighten the mood. He's not keen to prolong his life any longer, only hoping to keep Atlas alive through another night. It was never meant to be a serious proposal.

And yet, when he glances back up at Atlas, he sees a spark of life in their eyes for the first time.

“Really?” They say, and fuck, it's the most alive they've sounded all night. How could Harmonia say he was just joking now? How could he take away that small spark of hope from them? So, against his better judgment, he nods.

“Uh… I mean, if you want? I don't know why you would, but…”

He chews his lip. Is this the right decision? Is he just convincing himself that this is for their sake to hide his true selfishness? The selfish notion that he has a right to live in the same way that Atlas does? Maybe he should take it back, it's not too late, surely they have more to live for than a selfish monster—

Harmonia must look absolutely bewildered, because Atlas starts to laugh. The sound is as beautiful as it is confusing. They're smiling as they speak—a small yet genuine glimmer of happiness in a world so heavy, and for a moment, Harmonia doesn't feel so guilty.

Alright! So, Emily is still her cheery self but also due to the nature of the au defiantly isnt all niave and trusting and stuff

In this au, she's learning about seras lies from others, which I think would give her trust issues. I also made her more, angry

I imagine in the au she holds grudges a lot more, mainly against alastor, and has more of a silent anger type personality- here's a small snippet of the pilot for the au

Remember how I said charlie and slaviathen are like Ron and Tammy 2 but without all the sex? Yeah, well, then Emily is Diane! Vaggie is to but vaggie mostly focuses on getting them out and stuff. Emily and slaviathen just have passive aggressive argument and comments thrown at each other

Why vaggie is passive with sleviathan and Emily is the protective one? Honestly idk but I think it's funny :) maybe it's cause Vaggie knows Charlie doesn't tale shit from slaviathen one bit so lets her gaurd down more because she knows charlie has it, so she's more passive or smth

Emily meanwhiem can't STAND being talked down to so absurd bites back no matter what. Which is also why her breaking point would be Katie calling them a slur.

She hates being talk down to, which stems form her years in heaven being treated as a child by almost everybody, good intentions or not it was still always so condescending to her. Especially when it was from Sera or the other heaven born and elder/arch angles

So she definitely internalized that, remember how I said she was often referred to as 'lucifers replacement' by many elder angles?? Yeah, that's where it MOSTLY stems from

She'd also have resentment and hatred for lucifer because of it all, like "I never want to meet whoever the fuck lucifer is" kinds mentality, it's due to this that she refused to search him uo and relaize he was her girlfriends, one of them, DAD

So the dad beat dad episode is...fun!! Emily gets piss drunk with HER dad, husk after realizing the short man in the middle of the living room is lucifer

It's after that whole song at the beginning happens does she realize he's lucifer, cause charlies only referred to him as dad so-

She also be a lot more sexual active I think because liek heaven is restricted so being in hell with norestricrions she definitely is THRIVING on that freedom

ok so so far i have. one chapter thats jsut like. a rewrite picking up right after 13.11 that's like "hey what if the way the conversation about jessie liking sy/sy putting up walls went Wasnt wildly homophobic and transmisogynistic." i think it's fine and probably about as edited as it's going to get. i'm trying to add to that at least one more chapter that's about like. The ensuing shitshow (good, funny) of sy being really bad and awkward about actually starting up the relationship with jessie bc hes nervouse. but i'm struggling with finding how to reasonably plotwise add a chase scene/the general shenanigans i want to fit in it so i'm worried i'm gonna get stuck there. the ultimate goal for it would be it being a 2 or 3 chapter affair max that ends in sy & jessie properly starting their relationship. if i get really horrendously stuck i might just post the first chapter alone but id like to try to believe in myself

i have a few other snippets that were just basically like me doing the writing equivalent of doodling like. the sleeping beauty one i posted on tumblr + one re the line abt sy gifting jessie the same pen twice by accident + one re my 'why arent cigarettes in twigland super cool and packed with all kind of random shit' complaint. the only other thing thats. I Guess Finished. is like a snippet re 'hey its fucking crazy that wildbow had jessie pose as sy's fiancee when they infiltrated an academy and it was just literally never talked about' that Spiraled. and now it's 3 consecutive longer scenes that are kinda about how i think jessie & sy should be stupid in love, and kinda about how i think we should kill wildbow for not writing jessie being the world's best most functional fit for sy's psychosexual fixations, and kinda about how i think helen should have a Weird dynamic with them, and kinda about how i think it's dumb that sy never gets to have a more developed/understanding relationship with helen despite spending months living with her as a young adult. realistically i should show it to people who are not my friends at this point but Maybe I'me Shy.

and i also wanna keep working on/finish one i started that's a rewrite/continuation of a scene during the black woods quarantine bit that's about like. their fucked up sad little 17-18yo old married couple with Mortality Imminent vibe. but i feel like i wanna go back to that After i finish the stuff that's chronologically earlier? because i started it first, and i think it helped and was fun as a 'where do they go' thing, but i dunno. i might want to get things more straight in my head with the earlier stuff first even if not everything has to be perfectly consistent with each other.

initially i was envisioning just having one fic i update with snippets in each chapter but the thing is that with snippets Spiraling i dunno how i'd post things. i guess the 13.11-> rewrite would obviously be its own thing, but i don't know if the one i mentioned abt the fiancee stuff would count as its own fic vs a snippets series or What. and i should also really before i post anything have someone who 1. has amenable taste and 2. has actually fucking read twig read it and provide thoughts on if anything should be shot before it makes it out of the carriage. but also i fear we have a milquetoast enough situation going on here that it's one of those things where it's a bit silly to go "here..... omg wag au is my favorite thing you’ve ever written are you having thoughts about it???!!! it’s genuinely my ideal fic like all the tropes and dynamics that i love r there, and norstappen is my fav it’s my happy place!!!! i love the idea of lando visiting max at a race and engaging in typical wag behavior bc i think he would think it’s fun and he does not hate women and respects WAGS (😠😠) so it wouldn’t be a demeaning vibe but just a very joyful vibe lmao, or max commenting on the quadrant promo posts w/lando being thirsty, or lando having to deal w the bulk of wedding planning bc max is always off working (even tho lando has his own work to do, i can see some possible angst/hurt abt the fact it’s assumed lando will do all the work and lando being stressed about the workload,, but also lando tryna be like it makes sense i have to do all this he’s off jetting about the globe and being super busy, but then also his reality of lando does have to work and wedding planning on top of that he’s stressed and upset but feels like he should be able to manage), i love this au it’s perfect i would love to hear about any thoughts or ideas or future fics or snippets you have for it!!

I absolutely love all these ideas and the love for this au! It's one I have wanted to go back to, along with Accidental Kidnapping, but just haven't had the chance to!

Lando absolutely loves being a WAG when he gets the chance. He loves supporting Max, and aside from that one now ex-wag that told him to get a side-piece for the lonliness, he gets along with a lot of the other partners on the grid. He would do like "day in the life as an F1 wag", and post a reel/tiktok of him getting ready for the track, giving Max good luck kisses or bringing him coffee/red bull, clips of him at the back of the garage watchign nervously during quali and then celebrating. He'd just give it 100% cause he knows Max gives 100% to any events Lando brings him to for Quadrant or gaming tournaments he is in, and he loves him so why wouldn't he be proud to be there?

He'd definitely get some negative comments because "you're shoving your life choices down our throats" or called "a distraction" but Lando ignores it. He just focuses on the friends he's made on the grid and hanging with the other partners like Lily and Alex or messing with Daniel cause Daniel easily became one of his favourite people after he started dating Max.

Max definitely comments quickly whenever Lando posts anything. Normally it's hearts but when Lando posts some more teasing pictures for Quadrant drops or merch, Max might say a little more. Or when Lando feels a little lonely and decides to take one of Max's cars or his boat (again) for a little joy ride, and Max can't help but laught at his antics because he loves Lando and knows this is his way of saying "come home soon dickhead" 😂

As for the wedding planning....Lando would get frustrated by the fact that after the engagement, everyone just assumes it's him doing all the planning because "well, Max has racing, and you're jsut at home most of the time". It's more the fact that people that ask seem to value his career and Quadrant as less than, like it's just a hobby and not something Lando has been tirelessly working on for years, that he doesn't spends hours every day planning content and streams, looking over merch drops and talking to people about profits and subscriber numbers and everything that comes with running a business.

Max does help. He does try pitch in with ideas, or dealing with booking things when he has time between races, because he knows its a lot and he can see Lando stressing, especially when their families seem to be also going with the idea that Lando is planning everything and are constantly messaging Lando about wedding ideas and venues and flowers and party favours or destination.

Seeing how stressed Lando is, Max would absolutely gently tell people to back off and then message Max F to see about Lando's schedule. He sneakily arranges time where he and Lando have a little over a week before they're needed for something, and whisks Lando away somewhere private where they can turn on DND and just relax and destress and where Lando can admitt it's a little overwhelming and that he feels bad bringing it to Max cause Max has a championship to win, but Max would just reassure him that he comes first. Racing is his career, and he loves it, but Lando is going to be his husband and the person he spends his life with and that will always come first to Max

And then another australian says they're out, and i'm like wait what but there's still like 16 hours till midnight in est, but i look up 'luck runs out jorgre rivera-herrans' on yt (cause it's a unique name) and scroll down and FUCK IT'S THERE!! THE STANDARD AUTO TOPIC VERSION!! IT'S NOT EVEN MIDNIGHT HERE YET?? (23:24 at the time of discovery. The vid says it was uploaded 3 hrs ago already)

The piano. I heard the first notes of piano and ohhhhh shiiiit it's actually happening!!!

i opened the door and called out to mum 'cause i was still in disbelief and she was still awake and i was like "mum... i think it's out" or SOMETHIG LIKE THAT IDK THE EXACT WORDS. She said jokingly she'd thought i had an existential crisis and GIRL IT KINDA FELT LIKE IT?? I WAS NOT PREPARED! I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE ANOTHER 16 HOURS!

I tapped on the link thingy to the album in the description and then i had the album RIGHT THERE HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS. IT'S STORM. IN THE FLESH. THERE'S A FUCKING TRUMPET-

I did my civic duty and informed (read: screamed in all caps) to everyone in the discord while mum listened to the first song 'cause she said she was interested and asked and i was so excited and gave her my headphones to listen to storm and then I took em back once I was done and now it's time to go dark. I said goodnight to mum and... pressed play.

Here's the highlights:

Storm: mixing is on another level bro. The vocals, the harmonies, the chorus, and hearing all those snippets without breaks in between, actually flowing and making sense and that ending beat is AHHH-

It went so fast. It's three min long how did it go by so fast what-

Luck Runs Out: the piano is godly. They actually changed the melody of the 'you could be caught off guard' part. My first thought after ooo? Was 'damn it no longer sounds like shut up and dance w/ me' lol.

I think this one changed the most from the snippets. Jsut the way they say lines, and stray words. I love it. The harmonies-

KYFC: the intro is that one atmospheric snippet he did with the flutes!! Aeolus sounds so sassy compared to the old snippets oof hell yes! There's a small instrumental interlude between the first chorus and the crew asking about the bag which is new.

THE PENELOPE PART. OH. MY. GOD. I LEGIT TEARED UP, I WAS CRYING, I'M CRYING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AND TYPING THIS OUT IT WAS SO FUCKING HEARTBREAKING.

I love that the 'Captain-!'s of the drowning men is more apparent here, and the silence afterwards... ooof you can hear Ody's horrified stuttered breaths and the way the lyric's changed to '43 left under your command' is soooo fucking good.

And then Ody's sudden defiance and the fucking burning in his eyes as he defies a god and escapes death- Yes. YES! It's so good-

... No wait it's over?? That's it??? WHYYYYY-

(Side note - the fact that there weren't any ads between vids is incredible and I thank the gods for this blessing.)

Ok, but all seriousness, that was incredible. I- I couldn't stop smiling. My face actually started hurting I was smiling so much. I was shaking the whole time, and I had to keep reminding myself to breathe, and- It was amazing. This was an amazing experience, and I'm so glad I could freak out to mum, and she was excited with me, and it was such a good surprise, like an actual chrismas gift from Jorge or some shit. I love it. I love this. Genuinely. It's an amazing thing he's given us and I thank him, sincerely. Thank you, Jorge, and everyone involved in creating this for people to enjoy and love. You should all be proud.

okay im more coherent now. first off im scrapping the vengeful spirit thing. but susie and evan do stick around post fnaf 3 which causes charlie to stay back.

Cassidy and Michael had a SEVERELY rocky relationship, with her meeting him while working at the fnaf 1 location. She demanded his help and he gave in because this IS technically his fault too. but he's more focused on stopping his dad while Cassidy wants to help the souls and he keeps fighting with mike and fritz (fritz is cassidys brother in this au because. mlem. he tells her not to come but shes not listening to him)

thats not including the bite, which is something they avoid talking about for way too long before she blows up at him and he leaves in anger.

Cassidy doesn't hear from him again until she's reading the paper and he's dead. frankly that kinds fucks her up. he was the ONLY person helping her and now he's dead. after that she goes to evans grave a lot more, a place she avoided because she knew he couldn't hear her. but she also knew michael used to leave flowers and now he cant. nobody remembers evan except her at this point, so she has to stand in for mike

she hates michael for the bite, she fucking hates him but god its scary doing all this alone. its scary confronting the man who tried to stab her to death alone in a room. its scary trying to help her friends move on, friends who werent as lucky as her (if you can call it that)

FFPS is complicated. she doesnt trust it and it looks like something will would set up, but she goes anyways. because she knows the others will be there. she sets everyone free and dies alongside them. not because she has nothing left, but so she can grab william by the fucking ankle and say NO. YOU'RE NOT GOING WITH THEM.

This is making me think of an au I had where Mike died via scoop and Cassidy who lived ig took over, using his identity and posing as an afton to get info on William and stop him.

So I don't know if anyone else does this but this is how I write:

I just blob out aproximations and gysts and then beautify later. That means that scenes can get deleted but still be a hodgepodge of shit spelling and no gramar. In other words, heres a snipped I decided to cut from my Smug Bastard series before it got made pretty.

It's set early on in the series, and is basically about Merlin deciding to make sure Lancelot stays as a knight, and how that affects the politics of Camelot and gathers Arthur's knights to him sooner. I've got about 15 chapters in my drafts over on Patreon at teh moment, and it's probably going to be the fic I focus on after Hiraeth!

Summary: Loneliness is an insidious thing. When Merlin looks at Arthur, he sees not just a prince waiting for his time to rule, but a young man struggling to find his place in the world, with little help from anyone else.

The truth is, Arthur needs more than the friendship Merlin can offer. He needs people he can trust: men and women who will become his court and his confidants, and if he is going to survive to take the throne and lead Camelot into its golden age, he needs them sooner rather than later.

Finding loopholes in Uther’s laws is no easy feat. Court life is a dangerous game, but it’s one Merlin has every intention of winning so that Arthur can have knights of his choosing by his side.

If he were a less honourable man, Arthur would have downplayed Lancelot's achievements to the King. Honesty did not earn him any favour with his father, who had swiftly demanded to know in their too-short meeting why it was not Arthur himself who had claimed the glory. There had been no pride to be found in explaining that he had been unconscious, or that a handful of knights had lost their lives. There was nothing chivalrous in the petty thought that if only his father had listened, perhaps those same knights would be alive when the dawn came. Instead, when he left the throne room, it was with the familiar, sick sensation of failure dogging his heels. Uther's praise was rare at best, and his disappointment never failed to wound. He felt bad enough knowing he would have to tell Merlin that the King had decided a paltry purse was reward enough for Lancelot's bravery. Perhaps the man himself would be grateful, but Arthur did not want to bear the idea of Merlin's face, pinched and pained, as if he felt Lancelot's disappointment twice as harshly. He thought back to what he had seen when the Griffin was slain: the two men standing toe-to-toe, Lancelot's hand firm and sure around Merlin's shoulder. Arthur had been too addled and far off to make out what he was saying, but he knew the tone well: heartfelt and rich with sincerity, he employed it himself when making his most solemn oaths. Whatever Lancelot had been saying to Merlin, he had meant every word, and something deep in Arthur's gut panged at the possibilities. Then there had been what he had thought he had heard last night, on the very cusp of slumber. A dream, he had decided: a blow to the head and a stressful night ganging up on him to make him imagine things, but why that? Why of all things had his fuddled mind imagined Merlin confessing to magic? He shoved the thought aside before it could do more than flash through his head. He refused to give it any consideration. Camelot was a lethal place for anyone to come under the suspicion of sorcery. Even a hint of it was enough to sentence a man to death. Enough to sentence Merlin.
