🎄 It's officially december and I will be posting some red, white & royal blue fics that I have been working on that are set in the month december.
I posted the fourth chapter of my multi-chapter story 'red, white & evergreen' on AO3 at https://archiveofourown.org/works/51961552/chapters/131821207
Characters: Alex Claremont-Diaz, Henry Fox-Mountchristen-Windsor
Category: M/M
format: multi-chapter
Warnings: talking about deceased loved one
Henry hasn't spoken to Alex in three days after their Christmas market outing, or was it a date? It's not because he doesn't want to talk to Alex and it's definitely not because Alex hasn't contacted him. Henry hasn't spoken to him because he is fucking terrified to talk to Alex. But Alex isn't scared off easily, so he turns up at Henry's door to ask him to come with him on to the ice rink- and it makes Henry wonder, is this another date?

Made these with isomalt and royal icing: isomalt layer was too thick, the key is to make it very thin. The isomalt should be heated to a particular temp and cooled to work with: need to look up the temps because I made these for cookie club and we used constallation inspiration's shaker cookie tutorial, which adds water and then places the isomalt in the oven: I didn't actually do this and most of mine turned out just fine, but I would like it to be more reliable and I would like to use it without adding water, which creates a lot of bubbles. The snowman centers were also baked and dipped in royal icing and then sprinkled with sprinkles.
The best part of Christmas time is getting to do my cookies more than normal ❣️ perfect royal icing. Crispy lines. They're so cute 🤩 happy holidays, everyone.
Iced sugar cookies. I used the flooding technique because I've never piped icing before and that seemed the easiest way. I'm just a 32yo lady with disposable piping bags tooth picks and insomnia. Also not so pro tip gel food coloring adds water to the icing making the icing loose. So when I say I used the flooding technique I mean I had no choice but to use it on the fly.
“I tried to make gingerbread and, well, I think I made something. Might be edible. Want to try one?”
CUTESY MEMES: Christmas/Winter Themed 🎄🎅🏼
Well, Futaba definitely knew about gingerbread stuff. She did like gingerbread cookies and she remembered a time in her childhood that she had made a gingerbread house with her mom. That was great until Sojiro showed up and accidentally destroyed the thing. The look on his face was absolutely priceless, and she was wondering how Sojiro had survived that day with how mad Wakaba was with him.
But gingerbread like this? Uh, she really wasn't all that familiar with it. She stared at it, looked at it. Was it burnt? It didn't seem to have any black marks on it or anything like that. She smelled it. There was definitely the distinct smell of gingerbread. She thought anyways. Then she turned to look at Ann and just had a sheepish smile. "You try it first. You have 9 lives after all. So that way if you die you come back."
